Hearing Aya giggle made Leo smile, there was just something about this girl that really help the German feel relax and at ease even if knowing that the woods leave a mark on her, she's just glad there is no reason to act and she can be the not so tough and inexperience girl that she is
"Just give it time, when you get to fully know me I'm sure that dignity is the least thing I'll have" The blonde laughed
By smiling, happily waving and introducing herself Aya has passed Kamina's own people "coolness measurement test", the girl definitely seemed trustworthy and his general looks confortable around her and that just are bonus point, if Eleonora trust them Mamemon no doubt will trust them too!
"The pleasure is ours, I know we will learn a lot by fighting alongside the shiny knight of the Lilac Hair!"
"Sorry, he does that with everyone, likes to give long nicknames, I'm the brave general of the golden hair to put an example"
The group keep walking chit chatting while the digimon focus on the patrolling, the gears were already use to this kind of relax and easy adventure, after all fighting it's not their forte, they excell in scouting and gathering information thanks to their KoGears and their databanks, they can fight but not particualry strong ones, Kamina on the other hand looked a little anxious for something, he's the type that rush for a fight as soon as possible so being call in the calm patrol mission wasn't his cup of tea, soon the answer to his prayers would come as crashing sounds were hear on the distance
"Gurren, Lagann, Battle routine on stand by" Leo order the two gears to be ready and await for an order to attack if the sounds they're hearing are coming their way

"Aww...Don't say that, I'm sure you have at least some dignity." Aya managed to get that remark out before she got lost in giggles again. Thankfully? She managed to regain some amount of composure. "Shin--...That's a really long title. Both of those are long titles." She murmured.
"Why not the Knight of Lilac and the General of Gold? Those have nicer rings to them, I think." Coolmon offered from up ahead. Aya just nodded towards Leo. "That's okay. They're...a bit tacky, but I like them."
Of course, with the advent of crashing noises up ahead, Aya called out towards Coolmon, "Any idea what that was?" The rabbit turned to the party. "I don't have any idea what it could be, but it sounds--" She was promptly cut off by two distinct shapes crashing through some trees near the party.
One was a vaguely-Kuwagamon like being, albeit their carapace was more of an ivory...ish color than the distinct scarlet of the Kuwagamon. The other? Why, it was a...much smaller Digimon. But it was red and shaped like loathsomeness.
It was also currently allover a tree, considering it looked like the Okuwamon literally bashed this poor Shoutmon through several others. Whether it was dead or alive was anyone's guess, but that was something that needed to be addressed later. The Perfect™ insect slowly turned towards Aya and Leo, and though it didn't have eyes? It somehow glowered menacingly at them.
...Why were it's mandibles heating up? And why was it rearing back? "Coolmon, it's gonna charge at us, do that Digivolve thing!"
"You're supposed to help with that!" Coolmon barked, with Aya raising her arm. The digivice's screen was white, and it gave off a pretty glow as Coolmon was enveloped in a sphere that gave way to...A pink fairy with the same dirty scarf that the Cutemon had. What would Leo do in regards to this bug?

Kamina's smile grow bigger as Coolmon suggested much better and short nicknames, Knight of Lilac and General of Gold! PERFECT! Truly fitting names that in the future will be hear all around the digital world one their heroic deeds and tales of their countless adventures are narrated and chronicled
But time for weird and long nicknames was over as the group suddenly saw a small red dragon been thrown through so many trees that it'll be a surprise if the Rookie was still alive, not soon after a HUGE beetle like digimon appear and even if it didn't had eyes, Leo could feel that was looking right at her and seeing what it just did to the rookie it was obvious that its intentions weren't nice
Coolmon and Aya were quick to react and evolve to fight, while Cutemon's new form wasn't particulary big or threatening one thing Leo knows is to not judge a digimon by it's size, speaking of Leo while her digimon jump in front of them to protect them too, the girl was completely terrified, she squeeze Aya's hand tightly and start shaking, bugs are one thing she can't be near off and a huge one like Okuwamon definitely shock her
"Fear not General of Gold, your troops are ready to fight, just do your thing and we'll take care of this bug problem!" Mamemon notice the state of his general but better leave the confort part to the girl literally holding her hand, now he just needed to make her snap for a DigiXros and they'll take care of this big bad beetle "Remember, we are the BRAVE HEART ARMY! And until the end we will stand together as one!"
"Together as one..." That hint was enough for Leo to get out of her thoughts and use the Xros Loader, quickly selecting Mamemon X and Hagurumon X from the list of her army and pushing the button of the center to activate the DigiXros, both digimon shine in a small light that join and after some seconds both digimon were gone but instead their X2 Metal Mamemon was standing proud and ready to battle
"Two minds in one body, X2 The Red Bomber MetalMamemon has arrived!" The new cyborg digimon said as he aimed his cannon towards the Okuwamon

One thing was as certain as Coolmon was cool, that red dragon was more dead than any hope of a cult classic's revival. The Okuwamon slammed it's legs onto the ground as it's mandibles continued to heat up, and it seemed to turn it's head towards Aya and Leo.
Did it...detect the fear of the latter? Aya noticed the German squeezing her hand tighter than before, and she promptly tried to get in front of Leo, holding her Digivice out. "Don't worry. Please." The Digivice projected a barrier of light in front of the two. A Light Screen. Not that it'd...be particularly effective against the Okuwamon's attack. Speaking of?
It finally acted, the bug surging forward in an attempt to slam it's mandibles down on the human. Did it ignore MetalMamemon entirely, or was it low on it's priorities right now? That was anyone's guess, but this dumbass bug did leave itself open for an attack. In fact?
It's own attack was stopped, not by Aya's screen but by the timely intervention of Coolmon jumping in front of them and enacting her Faerie Barrier, a bright shield erupting forth to stop the mandibles from tearing the two humans apart! "Red Bomber? Well, BLOW THIS GUY TO HELL AND GET HIM AWAY FROM ME, PLEASE."

Leo's fear grew bigger as she saw the Okuwamon launching towards them, her eyes widened and try his best to move but she was paralyzed, luckily Aya stand in front of her and activated her digivice creating a light screen to protect them, not only that Coolmon did the same and that way the attack of the bug stop.
MetalMamemon did not take lightly that the Okuwamon just ignore him and move directly towards the humans, that thing should be glad that it's a mindless beast otherwise he wouldn't ever stop hearing the rant of how much of a coward he was for going directly at the poor humans, without saying one word nor hesitation MetalMamemon took his chance to charge up his psycho blaster and shoot sphere of electricity towards the back of the head of the giant beetle
"Come on big guy, afraid that the little digimon can kick your whatever bugs have on their behind?" He taunted the Okuwamon shooting again trying to get his full atention
Lagann who still was on his Solarmon X form due to not having a partner to DigiXros decided to help too, not exactly fighting but protecting both Aya and its General, both humans would hear a small and metallic CLINK CLANK and then the little gears on Solarmon's body will fall
"Each of you hold one, if that thing gets too close just toss them, the KoGears will self destruct upon impact with Okuwamon" He said explaining how does the little gears work and then look at Coolmon "Go help MetalMamemon, I will do my best effort to protect them!"

Despite a clear difference in levels, the white insect was in no place to dodge the shots fired off by MetalMamemon. The Okuwamon immediately broke away from Coolmon, before it turned towards the MetalMamemon. His attention sure as hell was gotten, that was for certain.
The bug's wings began to buzz, a most irksome sound filling the air as the Okuwamon soared for a tree, before it uprooted it with it's mandibles clamping around it and hurled it straight at MetalMamemon. Of course, this was telegraphed to hell and back, so MetalMamemon likely had the perfect amount of time needed to get out of the way and even counter attack.
Speaking of? Coolmon put two fingers to her forehead. The bug forgot about her, and it was about to regret that. "Makka...Makkasappa...Fuck it, Special Beam Cannon!" She yelled as a beam of light erupted out of those two fingers that she just put forward, right at the Okuwamon!
...It actually pierced right through it, too. So why was it still standing? Actually, hell, it was getting even more pissed, too! It was about to fly at Coolmon.
Aya, meanwhile, bent quickly kneeled to pick up one of the KoGears. "I think it was targeting Leo. Or...just us in general. I think we'll be fine if we hang back, right? Uh..." They needed cover. Aya was looking for said cover. "Lagaan, thank you for the protection."

Both shots of MetalMamemon hit directly and quickly the silver bug turn around looking at him which was the plan all along, but now that he got the Okuwamon's attention what to do? It is obvious that his attacks didn't do enough damage and just piss him off even more, so much that didn't lose a second to move and uprooted a tree before throwing it at him, it could be so easy to just dodge out of the way but better stay in the line of sight of the bug so he can't focus on the humans again.
As the tree flew closer and closer MetalMamemon charge up another sphere of energy on his Psycho Blaster and shoot it at the tree hopefully destroying part of it enough to dodge without leaving his position, from there he will run and charge against Okuwamon, normally keeping distance sound like the smart idea but Kamina is everything but smart, besides if he is at arms reach of the bug it'll surely be the obvious target and his metallic armor in theory should be able to ressist a couple of hits of the mandibule and claws of Okuwamon.
"Since guns look like a nono, let's see if can take this... SHAFT SPIKE!" He reach one of Okuwamon legs and buried his three claws on it, after a second or so the claw will heat up and then release a small explosion that surely should cause some damage
The attack of Coolmon also hit directly, even pierce right through it but for some reason it didn't work, if anything his sight was set again on the group, Leo did not mutter a single word and almost as a reflect she grab the KoGear, but besides that nothing until she felt Aya pulling her a little to move and look a safe spot to get cover
Lagann noded after hearing the thanks from Aya and then move on their direction floating at the left of Coolmon and the right of MetalMamemon, having Okuwamon right in the middle and in front of him (with the girls behind), the Solarmon X then shoot its two gears directly at the silver beetle face
"We have to juggle his attention between the three of us to keep it away from Aya and our general, at least until we have a plan to deal with it" Lagann said as he await for Okuwamon to turn in its direction and charge at him
Meanwhile Leo try to calm herself a little the group would be able to hold the digimon just like they did with Lilithmon and Devitamamon, everything will be fine, no need to fear, right? If only was that easy

The tree shattered as the shot struck true. It was true that maybe MetalMamemon's bullets wouldn't be best for getting through Okuwamon chitin, but perhaps he was onto something with that idea of his. The Shaft Spike sank right through the carapace of the Okuwamon like it was nothing, and as such?
Bang! The small explosion sounded off like a firecracker, and part of the Okuwamon's leg was practically blown open!
Guess he's down a leg. Huh. The Okuwamon reached down with one of it's arms in attempt to pluck MetalMamemon from his leg and hurl him viciously at the other three. The humans and that...gear thing. Given Lagann's position, he was the primary target. Whether or not that succeeded, Coolmon made her move. She ran forward before she leapt towards the Okuwamon with a fist clenched, throwing a punch at his ugly bug face. "Keep your attention on me, you -insect!-"
Aya meanwhile was holding up her Digivice as it continued to project that barrier. "Maybe I should've read up on how to deal with these--Aren't they usually in the jungle or something?" She was trying to keep herself calm, but really...This was a little scary even for her.

Saying that his plan worked as he thought would be assuming MetalMamemon had a plan to begin with, but now he had notice something interesting, the carapace was hard and able to resist many attacks but below it it was as soft and squishy, now he needed to send that message to his friends and take down this ugly beast should be easy.
"GUYS I FOUND IT'S WE─" But before he could finish the sentence Okuwamon pick him up and flung him away with relative ease
The little digimon fly across the field going above Lagann and directly to the girls, Leo quickly decide to push Aya out of the way, and thanks to that the digimon flew above them too crashing against a tree, once the sound of a crash stop the German look at the "Lilac Knight"
"You okay? I'm sorry if it was all of a sudden, had to act quickly" She said helping her friend to stand up, she then look on the direction of where MetalMamemon was tossed "What were you trying to say?
"First... Does anyone saw the type of Trailmon that ran mi over?" He said standing up a little dizzy for the impact "Second, his carapace might be strong but on the inside it's soft and we can harm him!"
"On the inside... Inside..." The INSIDE! That's it! that single word sparked a risky and stupid plan but if it works they'll probably will get rid of the bug... hopefully... In anycase she's already death what's the worst that can happen? The German took a deep breath and look at Aya one last time
"I have an idea, a stupid idea but it might work, just trust me and don't do anything to intervine, Kamina come with me" That said Eleonora ran away from their hiding and towards the big bug "Laggan I need you to aim at the exposed leg!"
Solarmon X nodded and launch a blast of fire from it's mouth aimed at the damage leg of Okuwamon, the plan was for the bug to feel enough pain in that leg that it lost part of its balance being more closer to the floor will allow the German to throw the KoGear into the bugs mouth and if that's not enough Eleonora order MetalMamemon to shoot his Psycho Blaster to the mouth too, would the explosion and the sphere of electricity directly on the mouth of the giant Beetle would do something? Who knows but for the well being of the German let's hope it does!

Aya was pushed out of the way just in time to see a metallic and red projectile sail into a tree. What nobody saw was any of that guy's dignity going with him. She had to get back on her feet, but she wasn't angry at Leo, no. So, she shook her head. "I-It's fine. I'm okay." She murmured.
Wait, was she seriously planning to go in there? Worry quickly made itself apparent on Aya's face as Leo took Kamina and Lagann. "Leo, wai--" ...Aya was a little too late, wasn't she? She had to act quickly to stop this madness!
Meanwhile, the Okuwamon was sent reeling back as Coolmon's fist made contact with it's face. The Pucchiemon hovered in place as it lurched forward, only to be buffeted by fire towards it's damaged leg. It indeed stumbled over, it's mouth gaping wide open as Leo's gambit actually paid off.
One gear in the mouth, plus a Psycho Blaster?
And the resulting explosion finally made the beast keel over. The word keel is used here because the beast was getting back up right when they put the plan in action, and they ended up making it fall forward!
...Was it truly dead, though? Or was it just playing dead? It wasn't moving...

Did Leo actually expected her plan to work? Not as well as it did at least, to be completely honest the moment she started moving towards the giant beetle she stop thinking completely and kept going out of will and adrenaline, the moment she actually thought about the crazy thing she was going to do would more likely make her regret it, thankfully it work and with the beast down the German sit on the ground and let out a sigh of relief
"Told you it was going to work" She turn and look at Aya with smiling, although the smile didn't las long when she saw the worried expression of the Japanese "Please don't look at me like that, this is not even the craziest thing I've done, did I mention I actually threw a rock at THE Demon lord? This is nothing"
"VICTORY FOR THE BRAVE HE─" Before MetalMamemon could finish the sentence Eleonora pick him up and cover his mouth
"Shhh! Don't know if this thing is dead or out cold I'm not risking waking it up!"
"I agree, my suggestion is to start moving before anything else happens"
That said the German drop the digimon and walked back to Aya, things should be calmer for a while but they have to start moving ASAP!

Whether the plan was expected to work or not, one thing was certain and that was they had to get out of there. Aya continued looking at Leo like she was a mixture of bewildered, and a touch...uh. Mad at her. "You did WHAT?" She asked, before Coolmon just barreled towards them, and grabbed Aya's hand.
"Talk later, she said we're moving, we're MOVING!" And with that, the Pucchiemon ran off away from the Okuwamon, with Aya in tow. Hopefully Leo would follow suit! "I can move myself, Coolmon!"
"Yeah, but not fast enough considering you two are like peas in a pod! So therefore I gotta drag you off!"
And if the team followed the duo? As they got away from the Okuwamon, they heard a final, evil hiss. "...Yggdwasil west youw souls..." Was that it's death croak? Maybe.

After hearing the "You did WHAT?" that the lilac knight shout, the German could only laugh nervously maybe she didn't mention the rock throw at all... Well in her defense she was angry and granted she pay for her foolish act buuuuuuut that's besides the point now, as Coolmon and Lagann pointed out the moment to run is now
"SOLARMON METALMAMETURRET XROS GO!" Said Kamina as he jump on top of Lagann, Solarmon was able to still float even with the other digimon on it and this way if the bug wakes up they can shoot him down without risking getting behind
Eleonora sighed and started following the duo, she did hear something coming out of the Okuwamon but wasn't going to stay and understand what it said, whatever it was it shouldn't be as important as running away right now, it didn't took too long for Leo to catch Ayaka and Coolmon (Running on high heels must be a real pain)
"OK, maybe not the right moment to talk about it since we're running for our lives but... I'm sorry I did a stupid thing but you can't argue with the results"
In Leo's mind if it work there is no need to complain, "but what if it didn't work?" please let's not live on what if, let's just enjoy that the German was not eviscerated by a giant beetle today and comparing to how her last stupid act end, this was 100% a victory

Running in high heels was by far the single most painful experience anyone could ever expect out of anyone. Why did this outfit feel the need to put her in these? Why? Coolmon swerved and deposited Aya behind a tree, before she looked behind the approaching Leo and the army.
"...Just...try not to do that again..." Aya panted, sliding down to take a seat. There...wasn't anything coming from where they were. That might be an indicator of something. Before long, though, she picked herself back up. "Let's just finish this patrol and...take a rest after that." She stated as she continued walking.
"And hopefully there's no more bugs!" Coolmon piped up! "...Good job with the bomb throwing, Leo! Not so good job on getting thrown, Kamina!"
"Coolmon, do you really need to say things like 'not so good job...?'" Aya inquired towards her partner, who then nodded a bunch. "Yeah, so they learn that they need to improve!"

Soon they stop and took a break of running away behind some trees, good moment to catch their breath and talk things out, but the way Aya just said "Try not to do that again" at least to the German it sounded like "What's donde is done let's not touch the subject again" and that's fair so she just sit next to the tree and silently await for the moment to start moving again.
The duo of Gear and Xros Up kept their eyes fix on the path they took just in case the Okuwamon decides to fly in their direction, but fortunately it seemed that the big bad beetle just gave up at least they can have a break too! Being honest they did expect some kind of danger specially the gears knowing what happen in this place last time, but it was a nice relief that they handle it fast and without much problems
Once the patrol re-started Leo made sure that be close to Aya but she did not try to hold her hand again or even say a word, she felt a little awkward about it now, thankfully Coolmon talk to her to break a little the silence, and she has to agree with the bunny between this bomb and the rock she threw at Lilithmon she has a nice arm
"Thanks! I think I should learn how to play Baseball I'm sure will be one hell of a pitcher, don't you agree?"
"No, please Lady Aya, Lady Coolmon is right" MetalMamemon talked back agreeing with his bad job at the landing "If it was my normal body I'd totally stick the hero landing, but with so much metal weighing me it was kind of hard to look cool while getting throw against a tree"
