It was woefully apparent to K that most wisemon seemed to share the dreadfully annoying quirk of being full of their damn selves and condescending pricks. Well the only two wisemon's that she had met, it wouldn't be fair to others if she went with that ideal. The jesmon's fingers drummed on her fore-arms Armour. She wasn't about to have what this other was going for and it seemed that the others were in the same page. But before she really could do anything to really address this wisemon well, they got pulled into what amounted to an ethereal plane of existence. She wasn't able to pull away unfortunately. Leaving them trapped in whatever realm this was; she didn't recognize it. She was no planewalker; that title was for another group of individuals. K frowned lightly as the Gankoomon threw a chunk of the ground at the wisemon. Shattering some, others had rotated out of the way. The super mega shifted her posture; the blades that she had summoned up answering her call. Demon already seemed to have a pretty good idea as to what to do, she didn't know what the mark of sin did... but that wouldn't change her methodical nature. One of these individuals was real, and would react to what the large creature was doing. If the mirrors could break, and didn't reform quickly they could just simply bust the mirrors as a group. Whittling away at the wisemon's game. But then again they didn't really know if that was the case or not. Here patience would be a tell, the first to act would be the one that the others would follow suit no? So with demon's action, Angel's and Mae's observational power... K would sweep her eyes across the mirrors, a single digit keeping itself raised. The petals stopped their motions and simply hung in the air for a few moments. K would join the inaction for now, waiting to see what came from Demon's attack. If that didn't bring them out well... She could simply just start smashing mirrors left and right until they got the 'proper' one. It wasn't exactly the most creative of plans but... It could work. What is it with Wisemons and alternate dimensions? Log: -K is waiting to use Odin's flock as needed. -She has 'prepped' Valhalla's covenant in conjunction with the effort of the others. If the tell occurs within her line of vision she will attack. Passives: Valhalla's Regeneration 'Passive': Each post this Digimon regenerates a medium amount of health. When struck by damage, this healing factor increases to a large amount for three posts and goes on cool down for an equal cool down of whatever move was used on the host. If the move was a once per thread move, a cool down of six posts will be implemented instead.
OathSworn: Any Virus Type deals 30% less damage to this digimon.
[RAM UPGRADE GIGA]: Crimson Mantle: Jesmon's signature cape; adjusted for size for each Digivolution. This cape has a few soft abilities each that scales with the level given. It may provide flight [if the wearer already can fly their movement is increased by one step] and it can block a single attack relevant to the power of the level of the host digimon before implementing a cool down of two posts for the block itself. This mantle may be passed to others but it's effectiveness for others is generally halved.
Active Effect: Blades of The Faithful, Odin's Flock: This attack summons up what could be considered at the most a thousand or so of tiny blades, represented by petals of a blue hue. Without direction these blades do nothing but circle around their host. It can be considered dangerous to touch them without being the host itself as they are sharp beyond belief. This move itself does not have a cool down, but the blades cannot operate outside of a fifty foot radius. Naturally they cannot fill this whole space and are usually spread out to avoid too much trouble.
Move: Blades of the Faithful, Valhalla's Covenant: This move orders the blades to attack anyone that may be within the fifty foot radius of the host. For each successive attack they get a little faster, but they get harder to control and spread out. Making them deal less damage.
Cooldowns: N/A

The AncientWisemon gave a look of annoyance at Mark of Sin's activation. Soon he found himself struggling to look away from the Devidramon that had activated the ability "Damn...you!" This could be trouble. Everyone was observing at once, refraining from letting the shock of the dimension from distracting them. Have they done this before? "If that's how you're all going to play this...Visage of Uncertainty!"
The images on the mirrors warped and shifted unnaturally, figures and abominations representing each opponent's deepest fears and insecurities shambling towards them to attack the entire group. Each shade rushed and lurched for their respective opponent. They would strike them heavily, grasp at them to weight them down, whisper horrible things all the while "How well can you face your own nightmares, I wonder? I eagerly anticipate the results."
The efforts of everyone's distractions and observations would eventually bring some interesting conclusions. To K, she would notice that one of the Wisemon moves right before the rest of them. The clones mimicked the actions of the original, it seemed! As for Mae, she would get another vision. In one of the mirrors, a Wisemon desperately pounded at the glass, as if trying to escape, though AncientWisemon himself didn't seem aware of this happening. So they've found the real image. Chances are, however, that this was only the beginning of the battle.
The terrifying visages would continue to assault the group for a while, and it was his hope that would be enough to distract them long enough to remain still long enough for them to lose track of him. Still, these were extremely powerful opponents. He had to think ahead for every possibility.
Ignatius looked around him, the visages taking the appearance of old students of his from ages past. Those that were destroyed by a jealous student and demanding why he wasn't able to save them "No...do not remind me. My students...and I'm about to lose another...I...I cannot!" he grappled him and restrained him.
Yosuke called out "Ignatius! Remember our talks! That was not your fault! You could not have possibly anticipated that day. You were away to handle other matters and that student had never shown such suspicious behavior before. Now stand up! Breathe! Strike!"
Ignatius clenched his fists "Master Yosuke..." he let out a mighty shout "Tekken Seisai!" The massive golden spirit Hinumakuy manifested behind him and lashed out at the apparitions "These are not my students! How dare you make mockeries of them, specter!" He joined the spirit in a barrage of powerful strikes around him, dispelling the enemies around him.
Back at the temple, Denryu had decided to explore the students' quarters. A fine layer of dust rested all along the room, as if it hadn't been used in ages. Each room was able to house several students, complete with beds and plenty of room for personal touches for each student. From a glance, Denryu could tell from old papers and desks that some were more studious than others and other rooms had more playful or artistic students with old, broken instruments and personal belongings strewn about. Each room had a window that was easy to open and let air in. No bars, no desperate scratching along the walls. Nothing to indicate that this was at all an unhappy place.
An old book rested on one of the desks, pages worn and faded "At first---know what to think. Master-----kind to us. I don't know how much I'll be able to learn----he believes in me. I won't let----down." Parts of it survived shockingly well, but there wasn't much to learn from this. Except for a date on one of the pages. This was from a very very long time ago in the Digital World...but that was it for this area of the temple. The master's quarters upstairs was next.
-----
AncientWisemon uses Visage of Uncertainty.
The tell has been discovered through the efforts. One Wisemon moves before the rest, and Mae's vision keeps track of a Wisemon attempting to escape.
Ignatius attacks the specters with Tekken Seisai.
------ AncientWisemon's Actions/Cooldowns Visage of Uncertainty: From his mirrors, AncientWisemon summons aspects of a group of enemies worst fears and insecurities to physically attack them. (3 post Cooldown) Visage of Uncertainty 0/3
Ignatius' Actions/Cooldowns Tekken Seisai: Pent up fury against their opponent is unleashed as a violent barrage of punches from both Gankoomon and Hinukamuy. Table Flip 1/2

"Tch..."
Of course, the AncientWisemon wasn't going to keep it so simple. From those mirrors, a dark mire began to ebb out with the caster's declaration, the chilled feeling of their revealed hearts filling their chest as their worst fears - especially for the current moment - emerged from the glass.
Tightening her grip around her rapier, Angel bared her fangs as a MagnaAngemon emerged, blade ready and leveled towards the fox. "Murderous cur! For crimes against our land, I shall tear your master asunder!"
"God damn it..." Damn it, that was not what she needed to hear. Deepest fears aside, such a creation could end up blowing a lot about the General's cover, and honestly, having their very team turn on them for it was a possibility. Angel simply couldn't let that pass, and so she'd draw her blade as the holy knight approached, using her rapier to make a few quick stabs - aiming several lines of energy towards his chest and neck, to prevent the apparition from speaking further.
Demon, on the other hand, was met with a much different image. He didn't fear much, but the mask he had just acquired had a very particular fear, a demonic-looking Reppamon, heavy with the mass of the D-Reaper and with fierce claws of blue flame, stared the beast in the eye. "Get a hold of yourself, you weasel..."
Patting his chest, Demon would look down at their fear briefly - one that attempted to jump up and bite at their neck. The Devidramon himself had little patience for this, however - he'd try and grasp his claws forward, intent on snagging right against the apparition. This whole attack reminded him exactly of Denryu's sister.
"YOU WANT FEAR?!"
Unlike Ignatius, Demon's rage completely suppressed whatever fear that he had inherited from the internal Reppamon. Should he manage to grab that D-Reaper infested weasel, Demon would spread his wings, and take off almost a hundred meters into the air, able to observe the mirrors from above. And if K or Mae would direct which one held the Wisemon?
Well. Demon would chuck that apparition like a flaming boulder, intent on slam-dunking the hiding spot from above. "Interesting... this seems to have been some sort of university."
Raider's assessment was most-likely on point. It was hard to tell exactly what the subject was, but Denryu could tell a common trend of math in each of their books, spread over several years of knowledge. Occasionally having Raider translate the digital script, and finding no books hidden among the bedding, the General rested over that last book.
"Hm." Setting that tome aside, the masked General looked to the Knightmon. "What's wrong with this picture?"
"... There's no struggle." The Knightmon looked across the now-torn room. "There's layers and layers of dust and decay, but there's no sign of anything untoward happening in this room. Journals are still here. It's as if-"
"-They vanished overnight." The pieces were starting to fit in Denryu's head. He moved up to the master's quarters - but gave Raider a different errand to run, while he searched. "Check the rest of the building. I want to see if there's any sign of a fight or unusual damage anywhere in this temple."
Angel's worst fear is the 'Luminas Patrol'. Upon fear of being discovered, Angel uses 'Radiant Starfall' to try and silence the apparition.
Guru's worst fear is himself as a D-Reaper agent. Demon cares little, and attempts to grab the agent and use 'Escape Velocity'. If he succeeds and receives proper targeting, he intends to hurl that Reppamon from extreme range, at terminal velocity, towards the offending mirror.
Techniques
Radiant Starfall At a range, Renamon lets out several straightforward stabs in tandem, firing several Linear Bolts [Electrical bolts] in a short span. Three post cooldown
Escape Velocity Used from a standing position, Devidramon kicks off into the air, and spreads his wings. Defying most common laws of aviation, and with MailBirdramon's effort, he takes off an impressive distance into the air in a short span. Once per thread
Mark of Sin Duration: 1/2 Kohenkyo CD: 1/2 Radiant Starfall CD: 1/3 Escape Velocity Used. Ultimate!

More to the puzzle than she had anticipated. Then again, she should have seen this coming given the Digimon they were engaged with at present. However, their efforts were paying off, little by little. However, this indeed was the only beginning. Mae's own visage was something she hadn't seen in literal months. Mae's nightmare was a single Digimon. A draconic swordsman, clad in black and red, with two blades that radiated light. This was a Samudramon, or a Gaiomon to some. This was her father's final form. Yet it was wrong. An imposter, evidently. One that lurched for her rather than strike with the Kikurin. This was by no means actually Kappy. This was just a fake. The real one wouldn't shut up. The real one would have some form to his movements. This? A mockery. One that would not stand. Mae's expression simply grew a touch more dour. She said nothing. No witty one-liners. No insults. Nothing. There was nothing she could say that could properly encapsulate the ire she felt at this. It was one thing to hate her father. To want to hurt him, maybe even delete him. But to do this? That was another thing entirely. The entity said nothing as it moved to impale Mae with the hooked blades it wielded, but the Ophanim was prepared, swiftly taking flight above the specter before she let her attack loose to silence it. She had been hoping to save that for the Wisemon. Alas, it wasn't to be. She still had work to do. "One attempts to escape." She repeated, according to the vision. "Target that one." She called out to Demon. Of course, she didn't mention which one...Perhaps someone else could fill him in. Pick a target out. "How are we holding up?" Didn't hurt to check...
Relevant Passives: Fatebreaker [RAM Upgrade Giga]: This entity has the same mysterious foresight that a Rasielmon would possess. As such, Mae has the ability to divine a potentially infinite number of futures, depending on the level she's at. There are, however, limits to her foresight. For one, the lower the level, the more muddied, limited, and opaque the visions will be. The higher, the clearer. Furthermore, in combat, this is only really applicable as a way to warn herself and others of various attacks. Whether she can dodge them or not even with this is entirely on her. Should she successfully dodge an attack she had a vision of, the chances she can dodge the next one are lower. Basically she can’t spam this unless she wants the hurt.
Elemental Connection: Every three turns, Mae can apply one of five elements to her attack, changing it’s properties and/or appearance to suit the opponent she’s facing. They go as follows: Fire, Water, Wind, Earth, Light.
Instinctual Supplement: Fatebreaker ties into this passive--Her foresight is amplified greatly in this form, enabling Mae to have above-average reaction times to a LOT of things. Basically, she’s greater at dodging and/or countering attacks than a good deal of her other forms.
Mae finally lets the holy bullet loose to dissipate her apparition, after she manages to avoid getting skewered. She gives some pointers to Demon, leaving the actual denotation of the target up to whoever's up for it. She can't tell which one's trying to get away thanks to all this genuine upset-ness. Holy Bullet [RAM Upgrade]: A pulse of light emitted from Mae’s hands, this serves as a standard ranged attack that flies fast and hits with a good amount of oomph. One post cooldown. Cooldowns: Chain of the Lawbringer: 2/2 Holy Bullet: 0/1

A single experience in another realm was thankful enough to stave off the confusion that would of engulfed her initially. But with the wretched weaves that her prior foe had spent so long working out had yielded unexpected fruits for her. The wisemon addressed them again, was it surprise that he had given himself to? Pain of his foes acting in such a way? She'd grit her teeth as those mirrors warped, to demon it was that reppamon she recognized from a bit ago. It must of come from guru, but to angel it was some angel that seemed to have it out for her. For mae it was a Samudramon. The jesmon's eyes flicked to the mirror that spoke to her; in such a way she couldn't explain. A wretch of a creature. Skeletal hands dipped out of it's black robe, a long scythe being held lazily over one of it's shoulders. A time piece hanging daintly from it's belt, a soft ticking gently reminding her of time that she had spent and time she wouldn't have. Four other time keepers hung on that belt, but unlike hers that was still ticking theirs weren't. For those that didn't have intials it wouldn't mean much, but she could see those little names on the hands. She could see the mockery in the eyes of the creature that approached her. That scythe dragging back to sweep at her in a clumsy attempt to reap what was owed. She could see that little ticking on her own time piece. She could feel it beating with each rotation of her core. She felt that cool calm that she had from earlier dissipate. That she had managed to reclaim even if it hadn't been much. She felt that spike in her chest, she felt that anger rear it's ugly head. There was no cry, no shattering call out, no roar to signify any outward change. Just a angry pulse of an already hellishly aggressive data signal. She felt that spark take root far deeper than anything that she had in a long time. It dwarfed the anger that she felt from before, it was a pure. Passionate. Rage. She was done being careful, done being calm. This was beyond anything that she could vocalize, beyond anything that she could even try to put into reason or fact. It was something that normally would of crushed her if it was true. But the fact that it even joked, the fact that it touched upon her earnest fear of her children. Of her husband. Of the fact she would be alone and die alone. Her form burned brilliantly. It burned with such an aggressively bright light, that made a mockery of her normal gentle one. If this wisemon, if this creature that mocked her wanted it. Well they'd have it. They'd have a form that could crush mountains, split seas, burn the land and burn the very stars from the sky. Her form exploded outwards with a sheer rage that couldn't just be felt, couldn't just be heard. It was simply there and everyone knew it, it was so overwhelming in fact that it boosted her beyond what she wanted to do. Her form grew, it grew several times over. Massive wings spread out from her back, a gnashing row of teeth overtook the stoic form that was her jesmon. Armor crippled itself and shot off, broke into pieces as white scales made themselves known. The swords that she had drawn forth earlier, in small semblance of her control scattered to the winds. Her tail wreathed in blades and armor blasted apart, sending shards of her once self into oblivion, rolling muscles gave way to a massive sweeping lance and she simply rose up. Her wings unfurling, her chest heaving and her breath coming out in a tortured growl. Before she had been content to act in a defensive, calm manner. Subject to the whims of this place for a spell, working it with the others. But this single action had pushed her over the edge. It had pushed her further than his kin had ever managed. It hadn't teased at a reality, it hadn't given her a small threatening sweep. It had acted in a finality. Without even a word the massive digimon brought her fist down on that wraith that had made her worst fear come to her. The absolute worst fear that a parent could take. An absolute fear that she would be alone even after struggling for so long. An absolute fear that she couldn't escape that specter of death, only push it away. She'd draw her fist back and with an overhead swing slam into that foul creature that took what she had worked so hard to protect away. Something that had took away everything she had deemed her source of happiness and love. It hadn't just shown her what she feared. It had shown her what would break her. Her jaw slacked, her rage coiled up and the breath of something grand started to ease out. Not even a moment later she would breath out a small impossibly hot orb of fire akin to the sun itself at the same said wraith. She stopped caring, if these people wanted to do something like this. Threaten her and those she cared about like this. She wouldn't just let them, she wouldn't let them take that. She would fight beyond fighting she'd go even further if she had to. Even if she was broken. Even if her heart crushed, her forms gone. She would do her duty even as much as it hurt her. Even as much as her rage threatened to overwhelm her. She would do what she said she would.
Even if she died. Log-K is uh. -K is very mad. Very very very very mad. So mad I don't think I can even properly describe it. -K takes a swing at the wraith, but she angry + slow. -K uses Megido-Odin's flock went poof! Passives: [RAM UPGRADE GIGA]: Crimson Mantle: Jesmon's signature cape; adjusted for size for each Digivolution.
Scale-Skin: This digimon receives less damage from all attacks but is slower as a result.
Flight: This digimon even as large as they are is capable of flight with their wings.
Move: Megido: This attack allows the digimon to shoot out what could be considered a miniature sun. This sun acts much like a projectile and explodes when colliding with anything melting just about anything it touches. It deals an heavy amount of damage and can only be used once every three posts.
Cooldowns: -Megido: [0/3]

With all of the apparitions soundly defeated, especially K's who just disintegrated at her swing, AncientWisemon's smug attitude swiftly turned to instant regret at the response the enemy group had shown. "No...no no no no NO! That's not how this was supposed to be! Y-you were supposed to struggle! Writhe! Despair! This anger...this unbelievable, overpowering anger...!" His own panicked rambling was interrupted by a ball of energy that could only be described as a star going supernova crashing into the true mirror "Eh...?" he whimpered. The ball of fire erupted, shattering the mirror near instantly "Gaaaaah!!!" AncientWisemon shrieked as he's launched from the mirror into the dimension proper.
He floated freely, clearly shaken by what had happened as another mirror attempted to snatch him up to start the cycle anew, but that mirror, and then Wisemon would be struck by another fireball of destruction courtesy of Demon, dealing near crippling damage to the distressed foe. "I...I...stay back! I won't allow you to ruin everything! You're denying the rebirth of a hero, you fools! What is one human life to the life of a legend?!"
Once more, he tried to flee into another mirror, only for Ignatius to jump towards him and shout "Face Me!" As Hinumakuy reached its hand out for AncientWisemon. It lifted him up and slammed him into the ground below before pulling him towards Ignatius, who delivered a heavy punch right to his face.
AncientWisemon dove towards the clouds once more as a mirror finally succeeded in reaching him. However, the illusion was broken. Battered and frightened, AncientWisemon shivered and twitched erratically inside the mirror, making it obvious which one was real. "I-I'm not done with you! Grand Design!!" He waved his fan as gigantic, decorated pillars rose up from the clouds. There were many in number, each one of impossible size as the mirrors hid behind them for cover.
One by one the pillars started to rumble and tilt towards the party, intending to flatten them with their number and weight "You shall not succeed! You shall not deny his return!" he shouted maniacally. "He wants to be reborn! He must want it, he life was over too soon! He...does want to be reborn...doesn't he...? Our leader said...that's what the spirit wanted...! And he would not lie!"
The master's quarters was the only place that seemed tampered with in any way. Bookshelves were toppled over with a variety of tomes crumbling to dust scattered across what used to be a modest bedchamber. All of it illegible. Still no trace of any kind of corrupted spirits. The main thing of note was a large mural near the stairs leading up to the flowery field just before the cave. The mural depicted that field, with a great cherry blossom tree in the moonlight. It was a sight to behold, but there was a slight difference in the color used for the soil beneath the tree. One could chalk it up to the age, the natural wear on the paint giving out. But something was odd. The rest of the mural was flawless and it was only that little spot on the soil at the base of the tree.
------
AncientWisemon is in extreme danger after the successive powerful attacks. His cover is blown. While he has retreated into another mirror, the one which houses him is obvious. He unleashes Grand Design as a diversion as well as to try and flatten the group.

The AncientWisemon's technique might have shown their worst fears - but presented so openly and without context, to Demon and Angel, it was about as effective as opening a diary and laughing at the contents, especially in the Devidramon's case. That illusory Reppamon skipped across the ground as it careened through that replacement mirror, the dragon giving a derisive snort.
"You. WEAK. Make your OWN legend!"
There was a certain cleverness to the Devidramon's words, though it was somewhat lost in the gruffness of his tone. Angel, meanwhile, had managed to land at least one bolt in the illusion's neck, as she was returned a solid punch to her shoulder. It definitely stung, especially from a mega, as she staggered back to Yosuke's position. Even if Demon held the power at the moment, she could still make her effort to protect the only human here.
... Which became very necessary in the coming seconds. Sheathing her blade as those pillars started to rise, the Renamon spoke plainly. "Yosuke, we're moving now." A flash of light surrounded her, the rapier forming back into a BladeKuwagamon, as the Renamon herself took the form of a Taomon! Provided she was allowed, she'd scoop Yosuke up in her arms, and kick straight off into the air, just as the pillars would have come crashing down on their position. She was evasive at this point, keeping her focus solely on dodging those pillars.
The mega-level demon, however? Well, able to see that mirror - and with the AncientWisemon's eyes undoubtedly focused on him - the Devidramon decided to go to the one area where he knew this coward wouldn't have dropped any pillars. Pulling in his wings, the Devidramon cut into a tight dive, a powerful surge of electrical energy pouring into his right arm. He'd approach, as quick as he could, and about twenty feet away he'd extend out that arm to shoot a powerful bolt of red lightning towards that hiding place... before crashing right through that area with the full force of his body and claw, like a runaway Trailmon! "... Cancel that, here's the place."
"Clearly."
This was what Denryu was expecting, at least at some point. Overturned bookshelves, barely a visible word on the paper, and the like. Honestly, it was only worth a few minutes' look on its own, but that mural in the back defied expectation. For one, the image was uneven - but even moreso than the soil, well, it wasn't damaged, at least not in a significant way. If it were a painting, he could just rip it off the wall - but for something embedded in the wall itself?
"What do you think?"
"It fits the Japanese theming of the rest of this place... hm..."
It was worth a look, at least: the Knightmon would step up, and run his hands over that distended paint. It stuck out like a sore thumb - perhaps there was a switch?
Angel evolves to Taomon in an effort to carry Blade and Yosuke out of danger.
Demon cuts altitude to use a powerful physical strike, paired with 'Crimson Arc'.

Finally, Mae spoke loud enough that she was certain the Wisemon would hear her. Her voice was unnervingly calm. Taciturn. "Do you not know who I am? I'm the rock that diverts the river." She watched as the AncientWisemon was wrenched into this dimension proper, and felt that her time to make a proper move was nearing. Inching ever closer. Ignatius made his move, dealing some hefty damage that was only accentuated by Demon before the Wisemon retreated into the mirror once more. As pillars, pretty pillars, at that, rose, and began to collapse and tumble upon the group, Mae spread her wings and took flight to avoid the pillars. As much of an ordeal as that was. As the number of pillars descending upon them increased, Mae found that dodging increasingly more...frantic. She couldn't predict where they'd fall forever. Inevitably, her foresight would fail. So this had to end fast. This one wanted to revive a legend? Well, leave it to the daughter of one to set some things straight. This should be...simple, yes? As Rasielmon soared, she put one hand forward, as light itself soared forth from her body in ribbons and through a portal that opened right in front of her. The exit point then made itself apparent. See, as each pillar fell? A mirror was exposed. When enough fell? Obviously, the true Wisemon would be visible. Mae quickly scanned the area, and the moment she locked eyes with her target, the portal opened...above him. The ribbons of light that poured out of the portal went right for the mirror, aiming to slice it, and it's denizen, to pieces! ...Maybe not actual pieces, but this was going to hurt. A lot. Especially if it -worked.-

To put things lightly, Mae toes the line between getting squashed by pretty pillars and uses a deadly combo of Spatial Relocation and Divine Punishment to send a hail of Kikurin-esque ribbons of light (as in they're sharper than the edgiest lad you can think of) for the real AncientWisemon's mirror. Also, I'm spoiling Spatial Relocation for length. I don't wanna make you read all of this horror. Spatial Relocation: An ability that's best described as Mae opening a portal or two. One serves as an entry point and another as an exit. The purpose these portals serve is manyfold. Moving long distances in a brief period of time? Check. Extending the range (and placement) of your attacks by firing them through the portals? Check. This has a three turn cooldown, and while Mae is able to chain the following moves into this one (Namely Knowledge Stream, Holy Bullet, Divine Punishment and Sefer Raziel), they are given an additional turn of cooldown. This move's cooldown also goes up by a turn. The portals have a maximum range of 700 feet. Divine Punishment: With another sweep of her arm, Mae sends forth several trails of light that attempt to cut through her opponent. If any of them hit, they’re faced not only with damage, but an additional two turns placed onto any cooldowns they may be facing. Three turn cooldown. Cooldowns: Holy Bullet: 1/1 Divine Punishment: 0/4 Spatial Relocation: 0/4

The words that the ancientwisemon spoke were pretty damn hollow. K found herself somewhat cooled off by them, even though her anger was still mounting a rather aggressive offense on her senses. She felt the dull thumping of her core and the gentle tingle of this forms pull on it. She'd clench her hands as he spoke about a rebirth of a hero, a legend. What was the point of a hero being reborn or a legend remade if it was forced. She growled in irritation as the Ancientwisemon continued to speak, continued to drivel on and on about this. The pillars that rose up... well she wouldn't really be able to avoid them given her size. Unless she de-digivolved or shifted to another form to make herself have more room? It was a frustrating amount of thoughtfulness in a short span of time that made her bite her tongue in anger. She could still feel that overwhelming pull of anger, she could feel those pillars careening down towards her. Attempting to crush her form. No. Now is not the time for anger.K felt that voice practically slap her, stunning her for a moment. It almost seemed as though the pillars would indeed crush her. But her hands came up to catch those pillars, the massive lance dropping to the 'ground' with an rather impressive clang. Gritting her teeth with the effort as her feet dug into the ground, the Examon felt her body be slowly pressed down, thankfully her scales were tough and she was able to endure this for a time... "A legend reborn? Do you know nothing of the digital world and it's vices? You don't... make someone else's legend come back. You don't force someone into the role, you stand behind someone to help them push forward. You dig in your heels and push with all your might. You want to see the legend reborn? Then step aside. As this legend isn't one you can just force."She'd push her shoulders up, straining against the pillars. Wincing as more slammed down against her. Her massive brooding eyes staring at the Ancientwisemon. Anger was still there, and each word was halting in itself. She bet that the wisemon would probably be standing after this which hopefully "Your Ilk are good at recording the events of the digital world, too often do you try to change the words to better suit your own needs rather than those reading."There was a long considerable pause and the examon grunted as she could feel the pressure of the pillars start to overwhelm her sizable strength. It kind of hurt didn't it? She couldn't really do anything at the moment without hurting her allies, so she was giving them time to move. Examon wasn't exactly being coy about how she flicked her tail constantly away from the wisemon, or the way she glanced at the others that were just a touch closer than they should be. Log: -Being as large as she is K is forced to take Grand Design in full force. -She would subject them to Nihil but that'd just make matters worse. -K is hoping that the others will move away from the AncientWisemon. -She's not usually this chatty. -These pillars hurt. Move: N/A
Passives: [RAM UPGRADE GIGA]: Crimson Mantle: Jesmon's signature cape; adjusted for size for each Digivolution.
Scale-Skin: This digimon receives less damage from all attacks but is slower as a result.
Flight: This digimon even as large as they are is capable of flight with their wings.
Cooldowns: -Megido: [1/3]

Yosuke nodded towards Angel as he allowed himself to be carried away by her to avoid the falling pillars. AncientWisemon was on his last legs. Now that everyone knew his trick and had successfully pushed through his schemes with astounding results, all that was left was complete, panicked desperation. He winced slightly as the pillars just barely miss them and crash into the ground below. K as Examon took the full force of several of them and braced them as everyone was able to focus on putting more pressure on the enemy.
Ignatius clenched his fists "A true legend...accepts when their time is over. They pass on their legacy. They inspire. That you spit on such a thing makes me sick!" he stomped the ground beneath him and defiantly stood in the way of a pillar "Quake!" As he shouted that, a spire of earth intercepted the pillar, cracking it "Blast!" Then, a bolt from the heavens sundered the pillar as Ignatius jumped over the broken pillar "Fire!" Swirls of flame erupted around Ancientwisemon, warping the mirror "Father!" Finally, Hinumakuy formed behind him and threw a devastating punch to the mirror, cracking it.
This was only compounded by Demon crashing into the mirror from high up. AncientWisemon tried to float away but was snagged by Mae's Divine Punishment. The mirror cracked and was buckling under the force of the attacks. There wasn't much he could do to escape from all of this now. "You...all of you...help..." he strained and writhed as corrupted data sparked from his body "No! I must...stop you! Die! Every single one of you just die! Strategist's Gambit!"
His mirror shattered, followed by every single one in this realm. They all shattered in a display of broken reflective glass as they swirled around the group. The pillars crumble to dust as the glass merges and forms into a twisted, nightmarish creature that lets out a piercing roar that sounds like straining glass and a bestial cry.
The demonic being lashed out, swinging its claws at the group and biting at any who dare get too close, shards of glass shooting from its body to rend and tear apart those it comes across. Its rampage lasts for what feels like an eternity and it is deceptively quick for its size, though the realm around them starts to warp and fade from existence. K might want to revert to a smaller form.
After its rampage, the demon summoned starts to crumble apart along with the dimension, and the group would soon find themselves back at the temple entrance. As soon as they come to their senses, they would see a floating, corrupted spirit glitch in and out of existence with a normal Wisemon collapsed next to it. The spirit struggled to reach Wisemon, but it froze and disintegrated on the spot. No traces were left of it. Mae's vision would see that this Wisemon was the one struggling to free itself and wasn't in control of its actions whatsoever. Slowly, they came to and stood up "What...? I'm free? I'm free! That damned spirit is gone!" he said, elated. He looked to the group "You...you're here for the human, Toki, correct? There is nothing I can do to apologize for the havoc I have wreaked during my possession. You will find him through the cave past the field at the top of the temple. I warn you, your battles are not over." he stepped aside for the group.
Yosuke looked at the Wisemon skeptically, but knew now was not the time to question things. He saw for his own eyes the spirit that faded from existence once they returned. He stood next to Angel and looked to her for a moment "I don't know what you've done in the past, but consider that none of my business. You're here to help Toki and that's all I care about." he said. He would wait for the rest of the group to adjust themselves after returning and say what they had to before they would move on.
Back at the master's quarters, Denryu would find that there was no switch or loose tiles with the mural itself, though looking closely did show some little details about what it depicted. To the right of the tree was an entrance of some sort and to the left was a cliff overlooking the ocean. With that in mind, what could that discoloration on the mural be leading to?
There wasn't anything else of note in the quarters other than the staircase that leads outside. Should they proceed, Denryu and Knightmon will see that very vista displayed on the mural. The cave was nearby and would lead them closer to their destination.
-------------
In one final desperate attack, AncientWisemon unleashed Strategist's Gambit, though afterwards the dimension would fade from existence and everyone would find themselves back at the temple entrance. The spirit that possessed Wisemon has been destroyed.
AncientWisemon Actions
Strategist’s Gambit: The final attempt at victory, AncientWisemon shatters his remaining mirrors and sends the shards and the built up magical energy to summon the Elder demon from its slumber and give one last devastating attack before being left defenseless (Once per Thread)
Ignatus Actions
Quake! Blast! Fire! Father!: Commanding Hinumakuy, Gankoomon unleashes wrath in the form of an earth-shattering tremor, bolts of lightning, a raging inferno, and an extremely powerful punch towards a single target. (3 Post Cooldown.)

Inter-dimensional space or not, the AncientWisemon was likely a fool for thinking he could handle this much power on his own. The overwhelming force of two megas and an Examon was more than enough to overwhelm the advanced spirit of steel, only able to give one last gambit to try and take someone down with him. Angel, gritting her teeth, conjured a circular barrier around herself and Yosuke, as Demon raised his claws to cover his neck, metallic wings curling around his frame as he backpedaled away from that storm of metal.
Soon enough, however, the very dimension they were trapped inside began to fall apart - and as the spirit fell away from that cloaked sorcerer, Demon gave a guttural growl. It wouldn't simply vanish on the spot: Demon held his arms off to his side, that red cloud of data quickly turning blue as the Devidramon drew that data in. "Tch. Don't vanish on me you stupid..."
As for the Wisemon himself? Yosuke was merciful - but Angel was not. Dropping her form as a Taomon and switching deftly back to 'Fencer', she stepped right on, and leveled her rapier by the dazed sorcerer's neck. "'Nothing you can do to apologize', huh? Despite choosing to play with spirits in the first place?" The fox leveled a fierce gaze right into the sorcerer's eyes. "How about you lead us right to the source, then?"
There wasn't a single bit of hesitation in either Angel's or Demon's actions. Whatever they had gone through before, this was their practiced, efficient response - for better or worse, in front of their allies. No switch - just a weird bit of discoloration?
Denryu still didn't hold it at face value. He took the moment to pull out a phone, and took a picture of the mural for reference, before leading right up to the outside - a practical mirror of the mural they had just seen.
"So why would have that area been repainted?"
"Interesting. Someone tried to cover up what was painted there before." Denryu didn't hesitate - he stepped forward, the Knightmon quickly following along as the general inspected the tree. Anything recently dug up or hidden in the area?

It turns out that magic tricks become far less intricate once you figure the secret behind them out. In addition, though Mae had nothing to add onto the current speeches about legends, she could at least...understand what everybody meant, to some degree. And when you dismantle a trick, everything it provides just...shatters.
Much like the mirrors. Mae's vision from earlier continued to play out as a demon had ripped itself free from Wisemon and lashed out at the group. Yet, as the demon lashed out towards her, Mae didn't back away or protect herself like most others. She FOUGHT BACK against the demon. She had claws, she was going to use them here! Whether that ended in her being wounded or not! She was hoping the others would come out of this alright.
At the end of the rampage, though, when the realm finally returned them to whence they came, with a spirit and a Wisemon. The former seemed to fade away, with scraps being collected. The latter? The latter seemed...fine. Uncorrupt. Unpossessed. "We're here for him, yes. What...What's going on up there?"
Mae then leveled a glance towards Angel, her demeanor once more suddenly shifting. "Stay your blade. I have an inkling that he didn't choose to be 'playing with spirits' so much as whatever was behind this forced this upon him. We're not getting anything out of threatening him, either. So lay off. We have bigger fish to fry, anyways." The Rasielmon spoke, in no uncertain terms, as she stepped towards Angel.
There wasn't really any malicious intent at all, but the cat did put a hand on the fox's shoulder. As if to try ushering her away from the Wisemon. Speaking of? "...Is there anyone between here and the top of the temple?"

K let out an explosive burst of air as she braced against the pillars, her brow furrowing and her teeth gritting with the effort. She got to see that final blow against the wisemon and there was a small bit of satisfaction watching him break apart. Though when that mirror shattered and the pillars crumbled to dust the examon suddenly wasn't bracing for anything and felt actually kind of ridiculous. But then there was that twisted nightmare of a creature that lashed out. The examon hurriedly flapping it's wings to propel it away from it. Though it was a lot faster than she was and of course hit her a few times. Growling in pain the Examon wasn't really able to do much; With the realm warping and fading from existence the examon was forced to regress her form to something more appropriately sized. Her Jesmon form of course. She got to more or less watch the demon crumble, the spirit glitch out of existence and the wisemon that it had been taking over. She'd of course run her hands over the damage that the Spirit had inflicted huffing in irritation. There were a few things she could do to fix that, but the easiest way was to just let her body's natural regeneration take over. "Right to the source seems like a bad idea, they could have a way of telling that he was defeated. Directing us towards it and... Well you've already covered the 'in-between'."A nod towards Mae and the jesmon drummed it's armored fingers against it's forearm. Sighing softly she'd consider what was ahead of them. One hell of a way to start this mission wasn't it? Dimension travel and fighting... well whatever that was. Her eyes locked onto Demon, then Angel giving a small headtilt once she realized the human that accompanied them wasn't here. "Not really a surprise that we'd have to deal with more than one person here. Where did your Tamer go?" Log: -K took some damage from the demonic beast -K slide digivolved to Jesmon -Just gonna list the passive down here just for reference.

Wisemon immediately flinched in fear at Angel's threatening approach "Please, I swear I'm not with them! I didn't go through with this of my own free will! L-let me explain. I was at home in the forest, in my study. I...I heard a voice. A horrible, droning voice call to me. I couldn't control my mind or body. I was compelled to follow this voice to the entrance of my home and when I opened the door, everything went black. Since then I was trapped in my own body as this...spirit controlled me like a puppet! Nothing I've done was of my own volition...please."
Yosuke reached out to stay Angel's hand "The last thing we need is to antagonize those we don't have to. I saw that spirit Demon absorbed. And with what Mae is saying, I'm inclined to believe Wisemon is telling the truth. Wisemon, please tell us what's going on and we'll leave you be."
Wisemon nodded, thankful to Yosuke and Mae for trying to stop Angel "Y-yes, of course. It's...hazy, but I vaguely remember something this group has been working on called...the Siphon. Something about altering the data of a totem to feed on the data of those who activate it in order to reconstruct them as full Digimon once more. Such a...vile construct. It spits on the very fabric of our existence...I can only imagine they plan to use Toki and his spirit in a similar matter. If this really works then...Toki is in serious danger. There's no time to rest, I hear they're almost ready. I wish there was more I could do, but in my current condition I would be useless to you. They were allied with the spirit, not me, so I wouldn't even be leverage. I...want you to rescue Toki. He's a good human. He doesn't deserve what's happening to him. Once more you'll find him and those guarding him past the cave at the top of the temple." he said. In response to Mae's question if there was anyone between here and the top, he shook his head "No. The others are guarding Toki closely. You won't have any trouble between here and there. Just...be careful, all of you."
Yosuke nodded and stood between Angel and Wisemon "We have more important things to worry about, Angel. Let's focus on getting Toki out of here. That's our priority, understand? Now let's get going. K, are you good to continue?" he asked. He normally would allow time to rest, but in a situation like this, that was unfortunately impossible. He looked around "Besides, it looks like Denryu has moved on ahead of us during our fight. We should catch up with him as soon as possible." he said. Once everyone was ready, he would begin walking towards the staircase to the top of the temple.
For Denryu, there was indeed something off about some of the soil at the base of the tree. A little looser than the surrounding area. Once discovered and they choose to dig it up, they'll find a box. Within it are crystalline bracelets and a tome that was in remarkable condition. Lunar images adorned the cover and it appeared to be a record, or journal of some kind. Upon investigation, one entry of note was near the end.
"This entry is difficult to write for a multitude of reasons. For ages I've run this monastery for those who were displaced during war or for those who simply wanted to strengthen their bodies and minds. I have always been of the mind that strife can be combated through understanding and personal virtue. That is what I desired to provide. The strength to survive...but the mind to make a positive difference in peoples' lives. But as I write I feel my very being fracturing. I'm afraid my existence is coming to its end, and I do not think I will be coming back. I'm frightened not only for myself, but for my students. They're all such wonderful Digimon who've grown so strong and kind. I can only hope they hold onto that kindness when I am gone. I've told them I'm going on a final journey to the mainland to fight for Terminus. They are devastated, but I know they are ready for the world. They will do great things, I'm sure of it. Some have already left, leaving behind some of their belongings as mementos. It's time I leave. If this tome is ever found, take the bracelets enclosed and give them to those you consider comrades. They will provide you protection, and a reminder of the goodness in the world. And if you find this, Aylin...know that I love you very much. I'll miss you...my best student. My daughter."

Oh, how convenient - this poor Wisemon didn't know what he was doing from the start? To the Renamon, this was about the flimsiest excuse that she could imagine, but unfortunately for her, this wasn't her call to make. Yosuke managed to grab her wrist, and Mae rested her hand right on Angel's shoulder, more-or-less ordering her to stop.
It was clear that Angel wasn't in full agreement, but she obliged them, sheathing her rapier at her side. Past that, though, she'd raise her right hand, pointing two claws towards her eyes, then flick her wrist forward to point a single nail towards the wizard. I'm watching you.
Still, the urgency of the situation was already notable. The fox's ear twitched as K spoke up, the Renamon herself giving a sigh. "No worries, I can still detect the Digivice. Besides, I'm his aato - if he was in trouble, I'd be able to sense his distress, somewhat. He's probably just on ahead."
That said, there really wasn't any time to lose! It didn't take long for Demon to lead the charge, Angel staying more-or-less in the center of the pack, given her current grade as a champion level. This also meant that the split group would soon reunite: finding that tome, as well as the related treasure, Denryu took the time to flip through the book, a small piece of paper falling out near the end. The general took the paper in hand - then passed it over to Raider who read it off, translating the Digital Script on the page.
"... So, what do you think?"
"In this case, I'll choose to trust it." Denryu explained his reasoning: "If it was an intent to mislead, it wouldn't be held so far off the beaten path. As for these bracelets -"
"Hmph. As expected, General didn't proceed into the cavern on his own."
Ah, yes, there was the rest of the group. Very briefly, Denryu explained what he'd found: "As far as I can tell, this book's the 'last will' of the last sane owner of this temple. Either something got to him, or one of his experiments went awry - judging by the wording, I'm leading towards the latter. Angel - put these on."
"... Bracelets?" The Renamon questioned, but didn't argue, briefly handing her gloves over to the Knightmon before slipping them around her wrists, covering them up once again. "And what will these do?"
"Apparently, some sort of shield enchantment or another. If they make you feel off, simply undo your Xros and break them."
Simple enough, really. Angel gave a nod, and Demon gave a snort. "No time for more idle chatter. Let's press on."
