K watched the meteor descend on her opponent, their thanks getting cut off as the power house of an ability destroyed the body. She'd shift down to her jesmon form, sighing softly as she could feel the tugging of her body in this form. She'd float over to the unconscious sleipmon. This was one of the only times she would ever help someone that was an enemy like this, one of the last times that she would be able to make the gentle trusting moments. "Your master is a fool, one that reaches into the past to try to wrestle control from the future. Your service to him is ended today. I care very little what you do after this, but I beg of you to make it something worthwhile. Perhaps if you need direction my knights might be able to give you one for a time. If not the world always needs a strong protector."K would sling the unconscious sleipmon over her shoulder and float back over to where the Gate of Destiny would re-appear. Her eyes looking it up and down. The swirling data around her feeling... oddly gentle. She'd reach out a hand to re-assure the swirling mass. "A moment longer and you all can return to the world as you were meant to be. Whether it a spirit totem or perhaps a new mon entirely."Her voice cracked near the end and she'd put a massive gauntlet up to her throat with a small sigh pushing out. The jesmon's eyes flicked to see the gate open back up and onto a familiar scene, well as familiar as you could get. She'd have to step out and land back down where she was. The data had it's exit, and she had a defeated Sleipmon bore on her shoulder. The gate would close slowly and the Jesmon had to take a moment to look around. As to gather herself before moving again... It was after all quite a different scene to when she left! Log: -K takes Torin back out of the gate of destiny. -K helps out the data. -She's now back out, but looking somewhat worn out; as a jesmon no less! The Cherubimon just kept focusing, more and more spears floating behind and around him. He was breaking. Something in his mind snapped "I will not lose! I...will spread the spirits across the Digital World, corrupt the spirits humans use...I will have total control over the destiny of both worlds! I must! And you will not stand in my way! I will be adored...worshiped...!" His cries were starting to sound more desperate. Less angry and more...anguished.
Sefer Raziel was yet another bright, radiant attack that soared towards him. The light...everything about the light seemed like his antithesis. "All you seek to protect...they will subjugate and delete those they deem broken. Unworthy. Only with raw, overwhelming power can we make things right. Virus types are always feared...always kicked for our very existence! I seek to end this charade of equality! I am their savior!"
Sefer Raziel burst in a brilliant display of light, blasting countless spears of the sky, but the light fades and warps around Cherubimon. "You think that's enough to stop me?! Your reckoning comes, worms! Ten Thousand Spears!" he shouted as the spears arced and rained down towards the party. Sefer Raziel was enough to wipe out a good portion, but there was still a tidal wave coming their way.
Toki had flashes of memories that weren't his own. And from those flashes, he knew what he had to do. He clasped his hands together. "Everyone...gather around." He said. Dukemon guided Angel to Toki and Aylin floated near him. The crystals above his head began to crack, light pouring out of each one. It looked to physically strain Toki each time they broke apart a little more. At last, he opened his eyes "Nirvana."
The gems shattered and fields of starlight surrounded the party. The formations twinkled and shined brightly, and any spear that entered its radius faded into nothingness. Thousands disappeared within the manifested night sky around Toki. However, this was still not enough, especially with Toki's inexperience in this form. Soon the field of stars began to dissipate as Toki collapsed to his knees, breathing heavily. Yet more spears rained down towards them.
Dukemon stood in front of the group "Stand behind me! Heimdall's Vigil!" Dukemon braced himself and planted his weapons into the ground. His wings grew and formed in front of the sword and spear. They shined as the lightning spears gravitated towards Dukemon, shattering upon his mighty defense. It would still not be enough without help.
Aylin wasn't going to sit back and do nothing while Toki and his father suffered. She formed a large arrow in her hands and aimed for the sky "Celestial Alignment!" With that, she loosed the arrow as it shattered in the air, the fragments raining down upon the spears. It wasn't its intended use, but she had to do something to help.
A few stray spears flew by, but the devastation it could have wrought was dampened significantly. Cherubimon flinched and panted heavily "T-this can't be happening...you at your full power wasn't even enough to stop a thousand...! How...HOW?! How how how how how?!" It was clear any semblance of composure Cherubimon had was completely shattered against the party's defense.
Dukemon stood up and pulled his spear out of the ground before handing it to Angel "Here you are. I figured you could use an extra bit of power after these taxing abilities you've been using. Just be sure to give it back, Angel." He said, mostly joking as it was tied to his data after all. He hoisted Angel up and threw her with all of his might towards Cherubimon.
Toki's aura started to dim without the gems. His power was waning quickly. Too much time in this new form, plus using such a draining power...it was getting to him.
The data quickly floated out of the Gate of Destiny into the outside world once more. They gathered together, many flying back towards the Village of Beginnings, others in different directions to become new spirit totems for future Spirit Wielders. K would see the aftermath of this wretched scene. It seemed both battles were reaching the end. Sleipmon looked up at his broken master "...." there were no words for his disappointment. His shame.
--------
Sefer Raziel succeeded in destroying a large portion of the spears. Cherubimon finished charging his ability and used 'Ten Thousand Spears' against the party. Toki responds by using his ultimate ability, Nirvana, creating a safe zone around him that blocked out the spears for a time. Dukemon assisted with Heimdall's Vigil, tanking even more. Aylin shot many of them out of the sky with Celestial Alignment.
Toki's Actions/Cooldowns
Nirvana: Tsusagimon presses his hands together and concentrates. The gems above his head splinter and crack before shattering in a brilliant display of starlight in a wide area. All attacks entering the area of effect are completely nullified for one turn as it is shielded by the miniature star formations. After its use, Tsusagimon can no longer benefit from Origin of Suffering for the remainder of the thread. [Once Per Thread]
Crystal Garden 2/3, Souryuha 1/3.
----
Dukemon's Actions/Cooldowns
Heimdall’s Vigil: Taking a firm stance, Dukemon plants his weapons into the ground and focuses his gaze on an enemy. The enemy will feel compelled to strike him, though his defense is drastically boosted during this ability’s duration [Once Per Thread]
----
Aylin's Actions/Cooldowns
Celestial Alignment: Aylin fires a large arrow into the sky that shatters, with shards of it embedding themselves in a circular area around the enemy group. In this circle, gravity warps and presses down, slowing down the opponents and progressively gets worse the longer they’re in it. Combines with Odin’s Breath from Torin and the resulting blizzard increases in intensity. [3 Post Cooldown, 4 with Torin.]
Celestial Alignment 0/3.
----
Cherubimon's Actions/Cooldowns
Ten Thousand Spears: Charges for a turn, gaining extremely high defense from all sources as thousands upon thousands of lightning spears manifest. Sheer devastation follows in the wake of this ability, and being hit by the full force of it means highly probable deletion. [Once Per Thread]

Well, simply wishing for an opening wasn't going to cut it here. Angel, though a powerful Digimon in her own right, was completely out of her element in the face of a massive, powerful radial attack like the Cherubimon was preparing. She briefly wondered if Dukemon's shield would be enough to hold off the oncoming storm.
"Maybe it would have been better to remain near the Diamond Castle..."
Her attention was soon drawn by Toki's efforts! With his guidance, she followed right along with the Dukemon, face-to-face with that sore loser of a Cherubimon. That cataclysm of an attack rained down, threatening to swallow up the group in its wake - but destruction wasn't on the table for them today. Toki's own efforts created a spherical space where the spears faltered and petered away, and as that effort faded away, Mae's own 'Safer Raziel' cut through the next wave. Dukemon even bolstered his own defenses in front of angel, as Aylin drew a small section of the spears away in her own right.
A full defensive effort - and with it, Dukemon entrusted Angel his spear. She gave a grin, taking it right in hand. "Don't worry. I'll make it up to you for not being able to help with the shields." She grinned, and readied herself - and the last of Digital Hazard - focusing it all into her right hand. The spear was held in her left, as the Dukemon hurled her right through the air. Dukemon's aim was true, and Angel was able to use her demonic wings to ward off any spears attempting to reach her from above.
Not that she cared: she was here to end this fight. As opposed to Toki's mystic and holy might, a giant claw made of crimson energy formed right over Angel's right hand. She brought those nails to a single point, and aimed to try and drive them right towards the center of the Cherubimon's chest.
"SINFUL CLAW!"
It wouldn't just be that, though: she threw that spear right before she thrust her claw forth, intent on burying it right into the Cherubimon's shoulder. Anything to give her that extra little moment she needed to slam this in!
Angel takes Dukemon's spear... and takes it right down the middle with Sinful Claw - Overload.
Devil's Lightning is destroyed by Cherubimon's onslaught.

Brilliant a lightshow as that was, Mae's fears were given form in that that had not been enough to wipe out -all- of the spears as she had planned. Fortunately, though, this form appeared to have a defense for herself--one that made it so she didn't need to rush into cover just yet. "...Broken Glass." Mae raised her hand once more as a sphere of what looked to be crystalline, frosted glass surrounded the Rasielmon as the onslaught began! This was going to last against a few of those spears, but she felt as though rushing towards Yosuke would also be to her benefit. And the Rasielmon flew towards the shield of the Gallantmon, spear after spear making contact with her own barrier and actually shattering it right as she managed to get behind the shield, and as Nirvana dealt with a wave of the spears. Of course...this wasn't the full extent of Mae's shield. As it literally shattered into shards, the shards remained suspended in the air before pointing their jagged edges towards Cherubimon and launching themselves towards him right as Angel herself did. Hope Cherubimon wasn't allergic to glass shards that held the power of his own attack, because that was precisely what they were laced with.
Relevant Passives: Fatebreaker [RAM Upgrade Giga]: This entity has the same mysterious foresight that a Rasielmon would possess. As such, Mae has the ability to divine a potentially infinite number of futures, depending on the level she's at. There are, however, limits to her foresight. For one, the lower the level, the more muddied, limited, and opaque the visions will be. The higher, the clearer. Furthermore, in combat, this is only really applicable as a way to warn herself and others of various attacks. Whether she can dodge them or not even with this is entirely on her. Should she successfully dodge an attack she had a vision of, the chances she can dodge the next one are lower. Basically she can’t spam this unless she wants the hurt.
Epitaph: This entity has heightened reflexes, thanks to her foresight being enhanced even further. As such, she’s able to think and move quicker in a fight, enabling her to operate at her fullest capacity.
Cipher of the Elements: Every three turns, Mae can apply one of ten elements to herself, changing both how her form looks (in terms of colors,) and how her attacks appear/work for three turns before she reverts to how she was previously. Oh, and her weaknesses change, too. They go as follows:
Fire, Water, Wind, Earth, Light, Metal, Darkness, Wood, Ice, Thunder.
Mae first attempts to shield herself with Broken Glass, before moving towards Yosuke's shield, as Nirvana and Broken Glass alike make short work of the shields before the latter shatters and the shards fly for Cherubimon. Broken Glass: Rasielmon raises a hand as a dome (or sphere, if this is utilized in the air) of what appears to be crystals rises up around her for a post, capable of withstanding an attack of equivalent level. The dome can also sustain two attacks from a level below. When the dome shatters, Rasielmon fires the shards for a single enemy with the power from whatever attack struck the dome behind them. Three turn cooldown. Cooldowns: Oversoul: 1/3 Spatial Claw: 2/2 Knowledge Stream: 2/3 Sefer Raziel: Miracle fired. Broken Glass: 0/3

The scene in front of her and Torin played out like one of those sagas, or rather near the end of a saga. More like the ending of a chapter just as it was getting good, the sort of thing that writers and story tellers would pause dramatically for effect. But no one here was a writer or a story teller. They were fighters. They were observers. They were villains and 'good guys'. In the strangest sense of both words, in a different time perhaps they all would of been friends. In a different time they perhaps could of all been enemies too. IT was hard to really say, K shifted a bit noting that the Sleipmon moved to look up at his master. Well at this point it would be the former master. K held out her hand and pointed with a single armoured finger. "Words do not do it justice Torin, you are right not to speak. Heart of Jormungand. DA-17 Beezlemon Blastmode. Cornoa Destroyer."The jesmon felt her own energy react quite well to herself, the pure semblence of her power wasn't corrupted in the slightest anymore. It felt good to feel such a burning sensation through her body; knowing that for this form it would be the last time she used it. The ill beggoten power that was given to many through the purchases of the cards appeared in her hand. The massive firearm of Beelzemon blast mode, something that many hadn't seen, even the mon that used it was fairly rare these days as few could even take the demonlords form. Rarer still that would deign to use it. She drew a edged star in front of her with the firearm, leaving behind energy of it's own dark volition. Something she didn't mind tugging or playing with. 'Evil' energy could still be used for 'good'. 'Good' energy could still be used for 'Evil' it was all about your perspective. She'd fire off that beam of concentrated energy, her eyes never leaving torin'ss. She'd stare at him for a few moments longer before setting him down, the gun fading from her grasp as the energy was spent. She'd take in a soft breath and shake her head slowly; words came to her. Perhaps her own, perhaps jesmon's, perhaps Silence's. Perhaps her wayward wisdom came from the mon she hated so much and left such a drastic impact on her... "We choose our own Destiny, we forge our own paths. Everyone here is a sum of that. There shouldn't be any regret in you, only pride knowing that up until now you followed your own choices. Followed your own path even if it was in the steps of another. But with his path ending, are you going to walk still in it? Or forge ahead on your own? With friends?"The jesmon's eyes turned to those in the thick of things, her expression softening just a little bit. "In the end that's your choice too. But everything has consequences. Even the best choices can be laced with sickness and sadness. In the end, you are your own mon. Not beholden to any master unless you wish it. It won't be time to make your choice, not anytime soon. But it will come eventually. Do you think you could watch? Do you think you could wait? Or do you always have to act?"Were these questions for Torin? Or perhaps for herself? Maybe both... maybe none. Only time really would tell... Log: -K simply addresses torin. -K uses Heart of Jormungand -K uses the card DA-17: Beelzemon Blastmode: Coronoa Destroyer. There was no time to react. Angel's attack was aimed perfectly, the spear being driven through his body as Cherubimon felt that awful claw dig into his shoulder. He couldn't even muster the strength to shove Angel away as already his data began to fragment. "T-this isn't..." he coughed and fell slightly, only barely catching himself to stay suspended in the air, only to be rewarded with glass shards embedding into his body.
Toki watched the pained Digimon struggle to remain in the air, only to see it blasted by Corona Destroyer with K's timely return. Cherubimon fell to the ground as Toki walked towards him. "Why do you hold onto such hatred...such grudges? You could be such a positive beacon to the world, but you choose to corrupt and control and hurt...this is not your path..."
"Who are you to judge my path...?!" Cherubimon spot out, voice cracking from exhaustion and the tears. "Why do you look down on me so...? It should be me looking down at you...!" he clenched his fists and weakly took a swing at Toki.
Toki raised a hand outward and gently grabbed his fist "Samsara..." A strange, pacifying wave of energy flowed through Cherubimon as a strange feeling assaulted his mind. Guilt. "What is this...?" The pain and suffering the spirits went through by his hand. The hatred others must have felt during his assault on Terminus all those years ago. How many lives he must have ruined for his might makes right philosophies. "Stop it! Why don't you just finish me off! It's over anyway."
"Because I'm tired...I'm tired of the fighting, the hatred, the pain...I don't want to load you...that's against my morals..."
"Morals...? You still hold onto such things for someone who's tormented you, your family, your friends...? I've taken so much from you and yours...so why? Why do you pity me?"
"Because while I don't know the circumstances that led you to who you are now...I believe you can change. You're angry, bitter, frightened of things you don't understand." Toki knelt down next to Cherubimon "Please...I'm not asking you to let go of the pain that brought you to this point...I'm asking you to move on...work together with others instead of manipulate."
Cherubimon looked down, form fading quickly "Perhaps...that old fool didn't make a mistake in choosing you after all...I'm sorry. I'm so...sorry..." With a final word of apology, Cherubimon collapsed completely, data dispersing. Toki made no move to load or damage the data in any way. He simply watched as it flew away.
Would this be a good idea? Toki didn't know, but he was far too tired to think about it. Speaking of which, his form shimmered and reverted back to his human self. He fell to his knees, the reality of everything that happened hitting him at once. He ran his hands through his hair and let out an anguished cry before sobbing.
Dukemon reverted to Gankoomon and Yosuke. Yosuke rushed over to Toki and hugged him tightly "Thank goodness...I wish I could have gotten here sooner, Toki...I'm sorry."
Aylin reverted back to Lunamon and stood away from Toki and the others. She didn't know if she should approach after everything that happened. However, she looked and saw Toki offering a hand to her despite it all. She was shocked...controlled or not, she felt like this was her fault. Still, she rand over and hugged him as well, knowing that she should be there for him.
Torin stood up and watched all of this unfold "My path..." he looked to the horizon where Cherubimon's data soared off to. "I followed Cherubimon's ideals willingly, and I was punished for it. You could have killed me alongside that monster...but you didn't. For that...I will have to reflect on the life I've lived. Yes..." He turned and walked away, having made his decision. He would go to the Village and help raise the new Digimon his former master will become. He would help them become a better, kinder Digimon, inspired by Toki and K's mercy. Powerful...yet kind. There was something about that combination that could do great things.
Yosuke helped Toki stand up "Come on Toki...let's get you home." he said. Toki looked around and nodded "Everyone...I can't...I can't thank you enough for this. I...I'm going to go back to the human world for a while."
Toki smiled at Angel, then looked to Denryu "Angel, I know we only met once before...thank you. You must be her tamer." he bowed his head to Denryu. "You risked so much to help me...I'll never forget this."
He looked over at Mae "Once again you go above and beyond for others, Mae. If you ever need..." he looked down slightly "I'm sorry I...I just...can't promise anything right now. I..." he rubbed his eyes a bit and sighed heavily, barely keeping it together "We'll stay in touch...okay?"
He looked up at K "You were with me since the beginning of my adventures...and here you are at the end of my spirit hunts..." he smiled weakly "You pushed yourself so hard...all of you. If something happened, I don't know how I would have handled it."
Aylin reached up and squeezed his hand "Toki...they all came to help because they knew the risks and they care about you. And...I'm sure he's...I'm sure he's happy with what you did."
Toki reached down and gently pet the top of her head "Thank you, Aylin...let's go home...I'm so tired."

All their attacks slammed home, every single one of them. The spear, the glass, her own attack. She watched the Cherubimon fall to the ground and she stayed put, calmly keeping to herself. Get too close and it could be a trap, keep too far and she couldn't help. The Jesmon felt her body scream about the exertions she had put it through. She'd grip quietly at one of her arms, noting the gentle shaking it had. She'd grit her teeth and watch the interaction between Toki and the Cherubimon, her expression softened.
Hearing the Cherubimon apologize felt strange. Odd in sorts, the Jesmon watched the data fly away. Her expression remained even. She exhaled slowly and rubbed her face with a gauntletted hand. Hearing the sobbing of her friend she couldn't help but stare at him, reaching out as she wanted to comfort him but his father rant o him. Aylin turned into a lunamon and stood away from them all.
Then Torin spoke after standing up, the Jesmon turned slightly to watch him speak. He was punished for following Cherubimon's ideals, punished in becoming a monster. She didn't kill him or load him, and would reflect on it while perhaps doing something else. She'd nod her head and close her eyes. Exhaling slowly before letting her form slide down... Not to the shutmon she held more than not. But to the disheveled renamon. The demon pill she had taken before even stepping foot on this island had taken quite a toll on her already ailing body. The strength that her body held was barely enough to pull out her home portal device.
"Killing you yielded nothing but more needless death. Is it not better to know when you must change than be killed for it? Till we meet again then Torin."
Hearing toki address the others, one after another made her realize how much she was going to miss all of this. Her eyes softened greatly and she'd manage a weak smile.
"At the start, middle, ending. A friend is there no matter what. I'm glad I could help you one last time."
K bowed her head and turned, at first struggling to even press the button on her device. With a grumpy growl she'd thumb it a bit harder than normal, the portal snapping up in front of her. She'd glance backwards and manage another pained smile.
"Rest well. Tomorrow is a new day that beckons for you all."
The renamon didn't so much step through the portal as she hobbled through it. She'd make it to the other side before it snapped shut and she'd put her hands on her legs as she doubled over from exertion.
Just about that time isn't it...?

And with a final few taps, the battle ended. Mae couldn't look into the past, but she did wonder just...how deep the history between Cherubimon and the individuals gathered here went. What happened at Terminus, all those years ago. A couple of seconds after Cherubimon had faded away to the Village of Beginnings, the Rasielmon finally doubled over in exhaustion, her form quickly dispersing to that of Keramon.
Albeit, a Keramon that could barely lift herself up off the ground. But the Keramon gave Toki a smile. Not the one that her species always put on, not one that was forced, but a genuine one. "I-It's fine. Y-y-you needn't promise anything. I-I-I owe you for helping that doctor save me. Owe you for helping with the forest. I-I'll try my best to keep in contact. " Her voice crackled. "I'm not that great at it, as some m-may be able to tell you."
...She should go home. Go home, find Yukiko, and hug her. The Keramon sluggishly pulled herself up, and opened up a Digi-Port to the Great Moving Library. The squid had...a lot to reflect on. Namely what the hell that was. How did she do that? Why did it happen then and there? What was that form?
"P-Please be well, all of you."
And then she practically tripped through the portal. So long to the Fatebreaker, for now.

Angel felt a savage grin perk at the edge of her lips, the familiar sense of that critical damage felt right at the tip of her nails. The Cherubimon was undoubtedly pushed over the edge - all it would take was one more cut, and she'd be able to put an end to it herself -
"Angel! 6 o'clock!"
"Tch!" Of course, friendly fire! The Renamon kicked her feet off the Cherubimon's midsection to propel herself downward, landing hard on the ground as those glass shards and the Jesmon's laser pierced straight through the target. But it was probably for the best: right at that moment, the fox felt a sharp pain run through her entire body, the kickback of using Digital Hazard wracking through her frame.
"Like we could have cut that any closer..." The fox muttered that, soon feeling a pink aura surround herself, as Denryu slashed the MarineAngemon card. With one deep breath, Angel righted herself, ready to give that last little push. Fortunately, that proved unnecessary - the data of the Cherubimon dispersed.
The fight was over. As the other three fell from their higher forms, Angel felt the cores of her Xros partner exit through her back, pulled into the Xros Loader as Denryu rested his hand on her shoulder. "You did good."
"Tch. Just meeting your minimum requirements, still?" Angel chuckled, ear flicking as Toki addressed her. The fox managed a grin: "No need to thank me. When you're not doubled over, remind me to give you another good punch in the gut for putting yourself in this situation."
"Though, really, thank Angel. It was her pleading that brought be along. Though I apologize for keeping this mask on the entire time." He gave a nod - both to Toki and Torin - and slowly stepped away from the group.
"... Gotta say I'm a bit guilty being the only one not dragging my feet away from here... hm?" The fox blinked, as Denryu flicked through his Xros Loader, looking through the schematics of the loaded Siphon. "What do you think?"
"Usable - once its no longer a human torture device..."
[Exit]
