Nyao wasn't afraid of GranDracmon's attacks when she thought they were real and she certainly wasn't afraid of them after the first wave proved to be a mere special affect. Nyao just tucked Katsura deeper into her wings. "It's okay Katsura, nothing will ever harm you." Nyao whispered to Katsura comfortably. As Nyao prepared herself for the impact while hugging Katsura, the attack brushed harmlessly off of them both. Nyao was getting used to GranDracmon's bluff as for Katsura being immune, was this the power of love? Well yes and no, Katsura's trust in Nyao was so big she believed nothing would hurt her and it turned out to be true. This emotional moment of bonding had a more visual effect: Nyao started glowing, a light engulfed the angel who started to grow taller.
"Ladydevimon warp-digivole to... Mervamon" A valkyrie stepped out of the the light shrugging off the whole attack and gently let go of Katsura.
Then Nyao crackled her head side to side to emphasize how unimpressing this maelstrom was.
"You know dracmon, this is getting old." Katsura meanwhile mirrored Lucemon's disappointment and even listened in.
"I will, I'm so sorry." Katsura waved Lucemon goodbye, Katsura wished Lucemon would have been the one calling the meeting instead of GranDracmon who had only proved to her yet again how much pain giving chances causes. This gave Toki time to speak with GranDracmon uninterrupted.
"Mr. GranDracmon, I don't want to hurt you. Please stop." Nyao looked at Katsura.
"I know, just remember what I always say." As Nyao said that a slightly more content Katsura slapped her digidevice again, which made it turn back to normal.
"Be gentle." After a nod from Katsura, Nyao walked some distance from Katsura who had grabbed a card and slashed it inside her sleeves. ("Digi-modify") Katsura whispered, an electric spark surrounded Nyao briefly confirmed that the valkyrie was altered. Nyao trotted closer to GranDracmon while doing her best to enforce eye-contact. Her voice was completely cold, it wasn't emotionless though, no she sounded like she was about to murder someone in cold blood.
"Dracmon, I forgot to answer your question about titles. I just couldn't find the right way to put it. How do you word... God-slayer?..Arsonist? I even destroyed a Reaper agent once. You have defiled the noble art of diplomacy, more importantly you tried to hurt my Katsura. This meeting is over, LEAVE!" The exact moment Nyao said the word "leave" a bright red light shined from her eyes. Katsura had been betting on GranDracmon having no idea what Nyao was capable of especially the rule of fighting her. Right now Nyao had gained her stare of nightmares and amplified the power to the point where even a Super Mega would be affected. The demon lords may have power beyond normal digimon but GranDracmon wasn't a demon lord, so surely he would be vulnerable? Katsura used the momentum to point her digidevice at GranDracmon and then pressed the scan-button.
Nyao called bluff and convinced Katsura not to be afraid, the illusions didn't affect them.
Nyao warp-digivolves to Mervamon
Katsura (secretly) played the card Ancientpower and chooses "Eyes of Dread"
Combo: Eyes of Dread now affects digimon at SM-level
Nyao tries to make eye contact with GranDracmon in a rousing speech.

Eyes of dread (0/5)
NS-31
Card Name: Ancientpower Type: Modify Rank: Platinum Duration: 3 Posts Effect: The target Digimon is able to access one of previous form's attacks/abilities of their choice. This move is treated as if used by your Digimon's current level, not the previous one, for purposes of power. Eyes of Dread: Nyao's eyes glows bloody red for 5 posts. During these posts anyone who looks her into the eyes will get lucid hallucinations of a far more terrifying form (as an example, for an arachnophobe Nyao could appear as a 10 foot spider queen of a black widow variant with exaggerated scary features) the target, in theory, should be intimated of Nyao if they gain eye contact. Nyao is free to move as she pleases and as long as the eye contact is maintained, the hallucination will upheld itself. Doesn't prevent retaliation should the target overcome the fear. No matter the realism of the hallucinations, this is not shapeshifting, only an illusion. The form is tailored to the victim by taking advantage of their greatest fear within their subconscious. (cool down 3 posts) Has no effect on digimon above ultimate levelImproved Scanner: An improved scanner that subtly displays a Digimon's combat information on your screen. If given a post to clearly scan a Digimon, you learn their name, attribute, type, and family, along with a quick description and two of their signature moves.

GranDracmon continued his monologue as the Demon Lords' "attacks" were being formed. He states how his point was clear about how the Demon Lords want to rule the Digital World, and how no one was going to get into their way. Hearing him talk made Shoutmon clench onto his mic staff with anger more and more.
As soon as I get the chance, this guy is going to get his just desserts, Shoutmon angrily thought as he stared at the Demon Lords, seeing Rasielmon and Bagramon at the group's side to fight off these assholes.
All hell did in fact break loose when they unleashed their power. It all happened in an instant, like a wave of various attack types just hurtling right at the group. Shoutmon turned around to see what Adrian was feeling, and he was a bit surprised to see him with a calm face. Like, there are multiple attacks FLYING at them! How could he be looking so calm?! Even though it confused Shoutmon, he trusted Adrian and simply let the attacks hit them.
Surprisingly, none of the attacks did anything to the main negotiators. All of them seemed relatively unharmed by the swarm, leaving Adrian's suspicions confirmed and allowed Shoutmon to catch on with what Adrian was thinking at the time.
If we just pretend those attacks don't exist, then they can't actually hurt us!
Unfortunately Rasielmon and Bagramon believed the attacks to be genuine, and so they both were instantly one-shot defeated. Needless to say, Adrian and Shoutmon were very, VERY angry.
"They did nothing to you... hell, they were trying to protect us... and you just attacked them with no remorse!" Adrian yelled at GranDracmon and the Demon Lords. He could feel something within... anger... rage...
Fire.
"SHOUTMON!" Adrian yelled, holding out his Digivice as it exploded with a fiery aura. "OVERDRIVE!"
"SHOUTMON, DOUBLE WARP DIGIVOLVE TO..." Before anyone realized it, Shoutmon's very own eyes light up on fire as he was surrounded by a fiery vortex so thick that no one could see inside of it. When the vortex disappeared, Shoutmon no longer stood there. Instead it was a red-scaled creature covered in golden armor. "...REDMAGNAMON!"
The three Mega levels present each stood up to the plate. All three knew about the illusions of the Demon Lords, so they all had one target in mind, which was of course GranDracmon. RedMagnamon wanted to tear the asshole into shreds and light the remains on fire, but he knew he had to be smart about it. The others made their moves.
First Toki used "Topaz Temple", causing pillars of light to surround GranDracmon blasting the ambassador with energy. Next Nyao digivolved to Mervamon, a very... very pretty lady, in RedMagnamon's eyes. Adrian saw Katsura use a Digi-Modify card, so Adrian decided to do the same... very secretly.
"Digi-Modify," Adrian whispered as he quietly slashed a card. "V-Saber activate."
While GranDracmon was distracted by Toki and Nyao, RedMagnamon moved as fast as he could right behind GranDracmon. As soon as the previous two's attacks were over with, now was time for RedMagnamon to strike. A new blade then appeared in RedMagnamon's right hand: the V-Saber, clearly Adrian's work.
Thanks, Adri.
With a dash of speed, RedMagnamon flew right into the back of GranDracmon in an attempt to pierce the blade right through his abdomen with all his might. Let's see you survive this, scum. Shoutmon digivolves to RedMagnamon!
Adrian uses V-Saber (Cards remaining: 6/7)
WG-32 Card Name: V-Saber Type: Upgrade Rank: Platinum Duration: 3 Post Effect: The target Digimon summons UlforceVeedramon's V-Saber. It is a swift and lightweight blade that pierces through armor.

Much to GranDracmon's displeasure, the "Demon Lords' " assault had failed. He applauded as the group stood tall in the face of the seeming inevitable. "Bravo, bravo to you all! I suppose you've figured out my little trick," he said, his claws making a sound comparable to rusted metal scratching across itself. "I should have known the angels wouldn't send any fools to our little diplomatic round table. But to not even feel an ounce of doubt in your hearts . . . why, such strength! It only makes what must come next all the more unfortunate."
First he turned to Toki, spreading his arms wide. It was as if he was completely lowering his guard. "Lucemon doesn't play very well with others," GranDracmon crooned, his two mouths slavering hungrily at the fallen bodies of Rasielmon and Bagramon. "And come now, did you think the others had much to add? A blowhard and a pair of wild animals? I don't think a single one was even paying attention to our little meeting. A pity, truly. I can only wish you had been given audience by our best and brightest instead. But I suppose they all have far more important things to do than watch me swat a few insects."
Next came Katsura, her Digimon exploding into an amazoness to protect her. GranDracmon rested his head on his hand, his razor-sharp claws tapping on his chin. "Oh, how precious! She's claimed herself a title," he said. "And one who defines herself by the purge, at that. Such a classical motif. I'm almost jealous. Yet, take this from one who claims himself the Devourer. Your worth on this world is far more than what you can slay. It's based upon what you can change, and the mark you leave behind.
What do you think you will change today, as my masters unleash their wills around the globe?"
Finally, RedMagnamon. There were no grand speeches from him. No ironic twists on GranDracmon's words, either. There was simply honor and kindness, righteous retribution offered up for the Digimon that had fallen trying to protect him. "Indeed, I have! Now what shall you do?"
GranDracmon kept his arms wide, even as the Topaz Temple spread around him. The crystals grew a bright yellow as they converged, cutting off most routes of escape for the demonic emissary. His large size would already make most attacks impossible to avoid in the Sanctum, but the area nature of Toki's technique would make it all the harder. Nevertheless, he didn't even seem to try to dodge. In fact, he just stood there, the attacks phasing right through his mammoth body. The walls of the sanctum were scarred in brilliant energy, and yet he remained unphased. Neither did Nyao's mental assault make any impact. GracDracmon ignored it entirely, even leaning a little closer to Nyao. His mouth opened, as if he was about to make a witty quip about her attempt.
Then RedMagnamon ran the demon right through with his V-Saber, impaling directly into his midsection. The attempt at speech gave way to a shocked gape, and GranDracmon promptly exploded into a swarm of bats. The swarm scattered in every direction, expertly dodging the Topaz Temple due to their much more compact size. However, it brought an important question: with the swarm spreading so thin, where would GranDracmon reform?
The answer would be clear to Katsura. At first, her Digivice began churning out information on GranDracmon. However, as soon as Adrian's strike made its mark, the screen wiped itself. In place of the entry Katsura had first seen, two entries started to appear on a split screen.
Mephistomon Virus Fallen Angel Dark Area A Fallen Angel Digimon which has the appearance of a giant ram. It is also a dark being born from the lingering thought-data of a powerful Digimon that attempted to destroy all life.
Shadow Orb - Mephistomon summons a quintet of dark matter orbs around his finger. They hang listlessly in the air, then proper themselves at Mephistomon's foes. This move is quite weak, but with the variety of patterns it can take on is very difficult to dodge. Brimstone - Mephistomon summons a goat skull at a nearby location, which hangs ominously in the air. It builds energy, then fires a blood-red beam at an opponent of Mephistomon's choosing.
Phelesmon Virus Fallen Angel Nightmare Soldiers
A Fallen Angel Digimon shaped like an aristocrat. In exchange for granting someone their desires, it is said that it will snatch away their soul.
Seeing Double - Phelesmon can replicate any move used by an allied Digimon. One of the copies is an illusion, but one of them is real. The only way to tell which is which is to watch for a shadow. Mirror Image - Phelesmon creates two duplicates of an allied Digimon, including himself. They constantly merge and separate from one another, making it far more difficult to hit the actual Digimon in question. Naturally, the more precisely-target a move, the more likely it is to be troubled: area of attack moves and wide swings cleave both the images and the target.
It was becoming increasingly apparent that this entire assembly was a ruse. Combat Log - Toki and Katsura's attacks phase through GranDracmon, unimpeded. However, Adrian's strike hits true, sending GranDracmon splitting into a swarm of bats that spreads all across the room. GranDracmon's true nature is revealing - not one but two Digimon, Mephistomon and Phelesmon!

Following Toki's attack, Katsura had Nyao digivolve into Mervamon while Adrian's Shoutmon became RedMagnamon. He couldn't help but smile that Adrian and Shoutmon had grown since he saw them last, but wondered what hardships they had to go through in order to get to this point.
This first phase of the battle went...poorly, at least at first. The attack he chose seemingly did nothing to the towering foe, the beams just phasing through harmlessly. Was he too, simply an illusion brought on by some hidden masterminds? All of this was too...perfect. Too well thought out. Something didn't add up. Then, RedMagnamon's attack struck true, surprising GranDracmon as it burst into a swarm of bats that expertly weaved through the rest of Topaz Temple's beams.
The bats reformed into two separate Digimon. A DNA Digivolution? Or was it just a trick from the beginning? Did the Demon Lords even know these two were the true faces behind GranDracmon? Before, the GranDracmon said something that stuck with Toki in his mind. An audience with their best and brightest? Toki...smiled warmly at that "I must thank you, whoever you two are..." he said as he floated into a 'standing' position.
Calmly, he walked forward and looked down at the floor for a moment "There's one of the Demon Lords you revere above the others. Meaning...there's one you're biased towards or outright support over the others...the others are just pawns...and this whole plan of making them unable to fight each other suits this Demon Lord's needs. They can manipulate things from the sidelines and the others can't do anything about it...there are plenty of ways to gain extra control without directly interfering with the others, after all. Have I figured out the deep, meaningful puzzle in all of this, or am I just rambling to myself? Hm...no matter. Starlight Gaze."
With that last declaration, Toki's eyes opened fully as he stared in Phelesmon's direction. Some kind of barely visible aura is projected from Toki's very being that warped the area around Phelemon's body, threatening to crush downwards on them in an unbearable fashion. Toki floated towards Phelesmon as he did so. With his theory out of the way, the time for words was over. These two had to be stopped by any means. A second orb activated behind him.
------
Toki uses Starlight Gaze against Phelesmon.
Starlight Gaze: ZenCherubimon fully opens his eyes and a powerful aura shines around him. The enemy his focus is directed on feels a force pushing down on their body as if the very air is trying to slam them into the earth. (2 turn cooldown)
Tranquility of the Moon Acolyte is at 2 charges.
Tranquility of the Moon Acolyte [Passive]: Each time ZenCherubimon attacks an enemy with an ability, one of the orbs behind him starts to glow and charge up. Up to five orbs can be charged. Each charge can be expended to have an ability deal 10% extra damage for a maximum of 50% if all charges are used.
Cooldowns: Topaz Temple 1/2. Starlight Gaze 0/2.

Nyao didn't look fazed by the fact her eye attack wasn't working. Aside from a knowing snort, Nyao just let GranDracmon finish addressing her.
"After today there will be one less digimon in this room. That's good enough for me." Nyao clenched her fists.
"Besides I can read your masters like a book, believing they can rule is a bigger illusion than anything you can muster. Did you know? Even when powers fail I still win, the only way you can fight my eyes is if you're more powerful than me or blind and.. " before Nyao could finish her sentence, let alone hearing GranDracmon mocking her a sword was shoved through GranDracmon who exploded into bats and ultimately divided into two other digimon. Nyao stopped her thoughts and raised her hands in an overbearing shrug.
"Or don't even exist? Well that works too I guess, everything else about you have been a lie so why not your entire existence. In fact, I could just stab whoever dark digimon flinch first illusion or not" Nyao's humorous self was back, sorta. Nyao giggled and smirked sadistically and you could just see Nyao losing the last sign of respect for GranDracmon fading in the air.
"You're out of tricks while I'm standing here pissed, my snake is hungry and my sword-arm itches. What an.... Awkward situation, don't you think?"
Nyao pulled out her large blade from her back while making a blatantly insincere look of pity, the room was filled with Nyao's sarcasm. "That fixed the itch, one problem down two left." Nyao said while turning to both Mephistomon and Phelesmon.
Meanwhile on the other end of the battlefield, Katsura was processing not only the events happening in front of her but the information on her digidevice. Aside from revealing the true identity of GranDracmon, by reading between the lines on her digidevice Katsura was able to spot a critical weakness: illusions don't cast shadows. Now Katsura was thinking, shadows? Light make shadows, wait! Light! And then as Katsura looked around, she finally realized where she was. This was the holy place of light, and then Katsura opened her eyes up wide. Katsura had an idea as she searched through her deck and found the card she needed. "You know I have a partner but did you know I wield an element too? Not just any element... the most powerful of them all..." Katsura took out her card and began to slash it.
"The element of surprise... Digi-modify!"
As Katsura slashed her card the room started to shake and change. Everything started to glow in shiny gold, the already calming light was now a beacon of holy light that almost ensured inner peace to anyone who wasn't evil and casted long shadows. Katsura couldn't imagine a worse environment for a demon to be in than this. Then she cried out her knowledge. "Look! The shadows." Due to the nature of the eye attack Nyao couldn't turn to Katsura so she replied by raising her thumb up from behind.
Since Toki was targeting Phelesmon, Nyao took it upon herself to deal with Mephistomon, Nyao walked to the Mephistomon who did cast a shadow wearing her blade and her stare of nightmares in effect.
"Alright goat, let's dance. Madness Merry-go-round DX!"
And so Nyao started to spin around with her sword sticking out, in the speed Nyao disappeared from sight and a deadly tornado was hunting Mephistomon to turn him into a salami!
Katsura slashed the card Wild Growth
(quote about the location: A place located high above the Digital World entirely, the only means of access to this place is by flight. Upon reaching the clouds above, one is greeted by a blinding light so warm and radiant, one seems at peace with themselves. The light seems to have some form of psychological effect on those of a more sinister nature...)
Synchronized with Toki, Nyao attacks Mephistomon with Madness Merry-go-round DX Effects
Buffs/debuff: Eyes of dread: (1/5) Wild Growth (0/3)
Cooldowns:
Madness Merry-go-round DX (0/1)
SD-08 Card name: Wild Growth Type: Environment Rank: Starter Duration: 3 Posts Effect: The battlefield's natural state becomes more extreme, maintaining a similar environment yet becoming more hazardous in nature. A few trees become a thick jungle, rolling hills become higher peaks, and a small pond becomes a sizable lake, for a few examples. Madness Merry-go-round DX: Nyao spins horizontally while holding out Olympia as if she was a spinning top. The movement is too fast for anyone to see and creates a large tornado (the tornado is visible, however). This move can hit all targets around Nyao. (cool-down: 1 post) This attack is thrice as powerful as Minervamon's Madness Merry-go-round

Adrian and RedMagnamon were quite surprised to see GranDracmon simply evade both Toki's and Nyao's attacks so gracefully. They just completely phased right through him as if he wasn't there, even though he clearly was. Still, that didn't detract from RedMagnamon's attack right through Gran's abdomen. If anything, he pushed his sword in further than before.
RedMagnamon's V-Saber went right through GranDracmon with relative ease. As soon as it did, RedMagnamon remembered what killing truly felt like. To him... it felt good. He twisted the saber around in GranDracmon's chest, just to relish in the kill and to cause the victim even more pain. He wanted this asshole to suffer.
Sadly, suffering was not on the menu today. When the V-Laser pierced GranDracmon's chest, the Digimon turned into a swarm of bats which dispersed and created two other Digimon: a Mephistomon and a Phelesmon!
"You're kidding me... you were DNA DIGIVOLVED THIS WHOLE TIME!?!?"
"They were planning for this to go badly from the beginning," Adrian said. "Not surprised that they have multiple tricks up their sleeves, Red."
"Whatever they really are, I want them both dead! NOW!"
Toki and Nyao seemed to be surprised as well, but as expected they were able to come back from it. Toki had some kind of aura surrounding him, which Adrian assumed meant he was attacking, while Katsura activated her trap card. Turned out she used the "Wild Growth" card, causing a grand holy light to shine on the battlefield. All who were good just bathed in the comforting light and casted shadows.
However, RedMagnamon was not fully good. He still enjoyed killing, still wanted to make his enemies - no, his victims - suffer. Thus when the light was shined upon him, he began to experience horrible pain and was burning from the inside.
"AAAAAUGH! WHAT... IS... HAPPENING?! MAKE IT STOP! NOW!!!"
"R-Red...?" Adrian realized that RedMagnamon must still have some evil in him. Not full blown, but enough for him to be affected by the light. "Guys, the light's killing him! Make it stop!" RedMagnamon is being hurt drastically by the light! Posts until deletion: 0/3

"You know more than you would think, but less than you would hope," Mephistomon said. GranDracmon's bluster and underhanded charisma were completely absent from the goat-headed demon. Instead, he seemed completely devoid of emotion. His voice didn't have a hint of feeling to it, never deviating from a single flat tone, and he barely moved as he materialized onto the battlefield. "Such is not surprising. Most mortals I have met have only seen but a portion of the picture. Yet, if you wished, I could give you the enlightenment you seek.
Perhaps, then, you can be free."
Phelesmon, in contrast, doubled down on the haughtiness. He leaned against his trident far more casually than would be advised on a battlefield, and gazed down at his free hand as if it were the most interesting thing in the world. "DN- Oh, no, you misunderstand. GranDracmon's form was simply a means to the end. Much as you yourselves are," he explained, wagging a finger at RedMagnamon. "My brother and I simply see which way the wind is blowing. It's truly a pity that you cannot see the same. But we've already given you quite a few chances, no? Only to have our offer spat upon. It's a shame, but turnabout is fair play.
Were you in our shoes, I'm sure you would have done the same."
Phelesmon flicked his trident up with an exaggerated flourish, pointing it at Toki much as Babe Ruth would point out a home run. Unfortunately, he didn't get much chance to utilize it. He immediately recoiled in the face of the light, which left his entire body rigid from pain. The lesser demon grit his teeth, shielding his eyes with a single wing to try and peer down at the battlefield. "Clever girl," he hissed, only to be smacked down hard by a force of pure armor. The trident dug into the ground as Phelesmon used it to hold himself aloft, but his knees were buckling from the force. He may not have been taken down, but the exertion from fighting the blow already left him panting heavily.
By the time he finally found his footing, he gripped his trident more tightly. "Not a fan of the light?" he asked between grit teeth, looking over to RedMagnamon. "Then come, come closer! There is plenty of room in the darkness." He tapped the back end of the trident against the ground twice, sending a cloud of shadowy fog wafting across the battlefield. It obscured Phelesmon's location perfectly, and judging by a slightly audible sigh of relief it provided some manner of protection against the light. It was a risky gambit, but perhaps RedMagnamon could also use it to his advantage.
Mephistomon didn't react outwardly to the pain, but the dark smoke coming from his body was all too obvious. It was singing him, and if he didn't take cover as his brother did he would be in quite the precarious predicament. Not helping was the fact that Nyao was upon him as quickly as could be, spinning like the world's most lethal Beyblade. The first swing of the onslaught cut right across Mephistomon's chest, a grazing blow that sent him lurching back like a marionette. The rest of her spinning onslaught would not be so lucky: as Mephistomon raised a hand, a mass of tentacles, eyes, and fangs rose from the ground to block the attack. It undulated with each strike, making a pained moan.
Once the attack was blocked, Mephistomon loomed over the wall to stare back down at Nyao. Normally, this was an awful idea for a variety of reasons. However, Mephistomon seemed unaffected. "You think you know fear? Oh, dear child . . . " His own blank eyes reflected her own, and Nyao would feel her own frightful gaze burrowing into her head. "I have much to show you."
Once he had taken a good, long look at her, Mephistomon retreated to the darkness to join his brother. Or, at least, he tried; in such a chaotic battlefield, his leisurely place was quite the risk to take.
Combat Log - Katsura's card gets Phelesmon and Mephistomon pained, and Toki's assault on Phelesmon leaves the red demon smarting even harder. Phelesmon, desperate to escape, conjures a cloud of darkness. Darkness Falls - Phelesmon stabs his pitchfork into the ground, a cloud of darkness rising up from the area that he punctures. The cloud hangs ominously in place . . . yet, for how long? Mephistomon takes a glancing blow from Nyao's Merry-Go-Round, then conjures a barrier to block it before she can land any further hits. Wall of Woe - Mephistomon summons a twitching, writhing mass of eyes and tentacles that arranges itself vaguely in the shape of a wall. So far, it's taken at least one hit. Two, if the searing light counts against such a pitiful creation. He then looked directly at Nyao, turning her own Eyes of Dread against her before retreating to the darkness. Passive - Of An Eldritch Mind - Mephistomon's complete lack of emotion and general offputting aura belie something far, far more concerning. Mental or emotional techniques used on Mephistomon seem to be redirected to target the user instead.

Toki smiled calmly despite the combat. "So you are both cowards." he stated bluntly. "Joining what you perceive to be the winning side to suit your needs selfishly. I so wish that GranDracmon was who you really were. At least he was charming and charismatic in a sense." Toki's gaze didn't relent, though the force dissipated "The same as you? No. I would have compromised. I would have made it fair for all Digimon instead of placing absolute power in a select few who forced themselves into power. Your plans will not come to pass, and your ambitions end today."
The radiant light created by Katsura's card certainly aided in damaging the two enemy Digimon and Toki basked in its warmth. However, RedMagnamon was in absolute agony over the increase in holy light, which made him focus a gaze towards Adrian before he rushed over to RedMagnamon. He clasped his hands together "Diamond Sanctuary!" he shouted as the orbs behind him began to spin rapidly. A massive structure that was about 30x30 meters started to construct itself around them. The glimmering diamonds and the starlit curtains blocked out parts of the light, being replaced by the sanctuary's own, more soothing light, within it. "RedMagnamon...don't listen to them. You have a darkness within you, but I believe you can harness that darkness for good things. Light is not by nature good, as darkness is not by nature evil. Take control, fight on for your tamer...your friend. This light will do nothing to pierce a noble soul, no matter how you perceive yourself. Stand! Fight! Grow from this battle...do not let them have you."
He glanced over to Adrian "Adrian, please be wary of his status...if this does not work, do everything in your power to revert him back to a previous stage. This is not a form he should take if it is this painful to him at even the slightest hint of holy light. You and RedMagnamon deserve better than this."
Toki looked between Mephistomon and Phelesmon "I will not allow this day to be won by the likes of you." he sighed "Why are there always some fools who want to rule the world? You and your masters will fail. There are many more like us who will stand in your way, and we're not inclined to let ourselves be walked all over due to a few petty words and idle threats."
------
Toki rushes over to RedMagnamon and uses Diamond Sanctuary in an attempt to shield him from the room's light, replacing it with the Sanctuary's own, at least for those within its walls. Phelesmon and Mephistomon are still out of luck.
Diamond Sanctuary: The orbs behind ZenCherubimon begin to spin around rapidly as he clasps his hands together. A white, radiant structure will begin to form in the area around him. Pillars rise from the base and give off a shining light that rejuvenates himself and allied Digimon. The structure itself also provides cover, boosting defense for Digimon within it, thought disappears after one post. (3 post cooldown.)
Cooldowns: Topaz Temple 2/2, Starlight Gaze 1/2, Diamond Sanctuary 0/3.

Amusingly enough Katsura was able to retain more or less the exact same emotionless mannerisms and gestures as Mephistomon, even her voice could turn dull at a drop of a hat. If Katsura was intending to imitate Mephistomon, she was doing an awesome job when replying to Phelesmon, nobody could be sure.
"No... If I wasn't welcome... and my offer was denied... I would have left." Upon seeing Phelesmon and Mephistomon suffer under her card and even receiving kodus for her tactics, Katsura reacted by speaking in a matter-of-fact way.
"If you don't like it... you can go" Katsura then looked puzzled at RedMagnamon, as always she was a master of perception and knew what was going on around her.
"Should I do something?" Katsura shrugged, it turned out that Toki was on it so instead she could concentrate on the fight. When Mephistomon was blocking the majority of Nyao's attack she looked at her digidevice.
"You didn't tell me he was into tentacles." Probably to no one's surprise, the digidevice did not respond back. For Nyao it didn't matter much that most of her attack was blocked, what mattered was dealing one painful blow and (with help from Katsura), force Mephistomon into defense. But all good things come to an end eventually and this time was no exception. Just as Mephistomon was at a wall, he revealed an ability to deflect Nyao's stare of nightmares back at her. A pale humanoid walking corpse with glowing eyes and mutilated body stared in a schoolgirl uniform. For a few seconds, Nyao paused in shock and terror. But only that long, after the initial jumpscare the shocked face was replaced with rage, with almost flames in her eyes Nyao did scream only it was a warcry instead of panic.
"AAAAAUGH, HOW DARE YOU!?" And just like that Nyao was no longer scared, she was angry! Angry at GranDracmon for being a lie, angry at Mephistomon and Phelesmon for putting Katsura in danger and angry at Mephistomon for making her afraid. If it wasn't for the combination of the calming light and having an obvious target to take out her rage against, she would probably had attacked everyone right now friend or foe alike.
"DIE!"
Nyao didn't allow Mephistomon to get far away, to mitigate the distance between them, Nyao's snake hissed and started to grow out trying to bite Mephistomon in the neck. Nyao ran after Mephistomon too, because of the sheer size of the blade combined with the length of her snake there was a large range for Mephistomon to avoid. If Nyao managed to get close enough, she would switch to a combination of slashing Mephistomon in an X-shape while using her snake as a meatshield occasionally changing the length as necessary. Nyao was counting on the near-indestructible of her snake would make it a proper defense.
Nyao was clearly affected by Eyes of Dread, however she chose fight over flight and starts berserking.Even as a berserking lunatic, Nyao is still able to fight due to Battle-instinct Nyao attacks with Night Stalker
If within range, Nyao attacks with her sword while blocking with Medullia as a meatshield, she abuses "Unbreakable bones"
Effects:Buffs/debuff: Eyes of dread: (2/5)
Wild Growth (1/3)
Cooldowns: Madness Merry-go-round DX (1/1)Night Stalker (0/1)
Unbreakable Bones: (passive ability) Her equipment is marked by a magical snake symbol, the symbol makes her armor and by extension Medullia near-indestructible
Battle-instinct: (passive ability) Her techniques are unaffected by mind-attacks that would otherwise prevent them from working as intended. The reason for this is she can utilize them even without thinking. Mind-reading has simiar effect for the same reasons.
Night Stalker: Medullia extends to a length decided by Nyao in an attempt to swallow her foe. Max length: 3 times her arm's length. Cool-down: 1 post

"You realize that explains nothing, right?" RedMagnamon asked Phelesmon, when he claimed that GranDracmon was nothing more than a means to an end. "What was the point of DNA Digivolving into GranDracmon, anyways? Is it because neither of you are that strong unless you're together?" No one could see it, but RedMagnamon was smirking as he said that. He wanted to piss them off; make them sloppy with their aim.
Phelesmon had aimed his trident... thing at Toki before the light shined through. Both the enemies, as well as RedMagnamon, were affected negatively by this light, as if they were all experiencing pain, and on top of that Phelesmon was hit by a hard blow, courtesy of Toki. Just then, he grabbed his trident and created a shroud of darkness, to cover himself from the painful light.
Before doing so, Phelesmon taunted RedMagnamon, calling for him to join the demon in the darkness. In response, RedMagnamon just chuckled. "Huh. Liars and stupid. Nice combo. Why not just invite a serial killer into your home while you're at it?" RedMagnamon managed to say through the pain.
Before more could be said, Toki came in and used his "Diamond Sanctuary" move to create a structure around RedMagnamon, successfully blocking the holy light and bringing RedMagnamon much relief. Toki tried spewing some speech about not letting the darkness take control, but to RedMagnamon it just sounded like gibberish. "Dude, no offense but shut up. I'm in control of my actions; I won't be turning on you any time soon. The light pained me because I enjoy killing when in this form. And right now all I want to do is kill those freaks."
Toki then turned around towards Adrian, telling him to revert RedMagnamon back to a previous form in case the light still pierced him. "Toki, these are Megas we're fighting. An Ultimate is going to be nothing more than a punching bag for them. It'd be better if Red pulled out of the fight entirely."
"FUCK THAT," RedMagnamon growled, hearing Adrian from outside the structure, "I WANNA KILL THESE ASSES!"
Right then and there is when Nyao started flipping out, going right after Mephistomon and attempting to completely slash him into tiny little pieces. This outrage can be heard from inside the structure, and RedMagnamon flies out the roofless building, bearing through the pain of the light. He looked around and discovered the shadow of light that Phelesmon was hiding in.
There you are, RedMagnamon thought as he flew quite a few feet above the area, far enough away to not be seen. RedMagnamon began to glow a bright yellowish gold, before launching an energy aura right at the top of the darkened area. Hopefully they wouldn't see it coming unless it was too late. Toki blocked RedMagnamon's contact with the holy light! The countdown resets.
RedMagnamon fires Omni Core Fusion at everyone in the Shroud of Darkness.

"You speak the truth, Akiyama," Mephistomon said as he started walking back towards the shadows. "There is no morality to the darkness. There is no morality to the light. There is only power." He lifted a hand up, watching as the blackened smoke rising from his body drifted between his fingers. All the while, his expression remained unchanging. "What one does with their power defines them far, far more than the means through which they wield it.
I am but a humble servant. You will find power is not what I deal in. No, my calling lies higher. Perhaps when our time together has come to pass, you will understand."
Before he could retreat into the Shroud of Darkness, Nyao was upon him. Her arm had stretched to quite a far length, and it took a quick duck for Mephistomon to avoid being decapitated in a single, clean strike. That was but one of Nyao's strikes, however, and she had used it to box Mephistomon in and leave him vulnerable. Another cross slash with her oversized sword followed, leaving a pair of deep gashes in Mephistomon's chest. At a level's disparity even a basic attack such as this left Mephistomon smarting, the demon gently setting a hand over his wounds.
He then pulled his hand away, orbs of darkness trailing away from his wounds and following his hand. They spun around his finger for a second, then launched right at Nyao once Mephistomon pointed at her. About five orbs or so launched, weaving back and forth in wave-like patterns. Whether they hit or not, Mephistomon took the opportunity to float away, wings and hands alike spread aloft.
Unlike Mephistomon, Phelesmon had no more time for conversation. He simply kept to his darkened bubble, all according to RedMagnamon's plan. Aura spilled out from him as he unleashed his energy onto Phelesmon's hiding place, an attack sure to wipe the lesser demon out. However, as RedMagnamon built up energy, he would notice four pillars springing up from the ground around him. They looked as gold and solid as the armor that surrounded him, and even seemed to be raising and lowering as the gears embedded in their surface turned. It all seemed legitimate, and yet . . .
When RedMagnamon's attack overwhelmed the darkness, he would hear Phelesmon whisper "Behind you~." All four pillars began to shudder and shake, yet it was the one to RedMagnamon's right flank that would bear fruit. Phelesmon would burst forth from it, stabbing at RedMagnamon's side with an ominously glowing pitchfork. Whether his attack hit or missed, he would take advantage of his lunge's momentum to try and fly closer to Mephistomon.
Combat Log - Nyao's Night Stalker barely misses, but her sword strikes land true. Mephistomon uses his Shadow Orbs to buy time and space, then attempts to float away. Shadow Orb - Mephistomon summons a quintet of dark matter orbs around his finger. They hang listlessly in the air, then proper themselves at Mephistomon's foes. This move is quite weak, but with the variety of patterns it can take on is very difficult to dodge. Phelesmon evades RedMagnamon's blast, moving faster than he reasonably should beneath the cover of illusionary pillars. He bursts from the pillar raised to RedMagnamon's right, aiming to impale him with his trident. Passive - Misty Visions - Phelesmon can generate illusions of all shapes, sizes, and varieties. He often uses this to intimidate opponents, illustrate points in his monologues, or just plain mess with peoples' heads. Pitchfork of the Fallen - Phelesmon strikes an opponent viciously with his pitchfork. While not the strongest attack around, it inflicts far more pain than it actually should. [/quote]

At this point it was rather difficult to tell how the battle was going. RedMagnamon was at a severe disadvantage given the intense holy light and Nyao seemed to have gone completely berserk from her own ability being redirected back at her. Only time would tell if this would end up working in their favor, or leading to yet more trouble in the already disastrous situation.
Toki seemed less than pleased with RedMagnamon's berating tone and reckless desire to simply hurt and kill. Still, they needed to fight, and he seemed more than willing to fight "Well good. Now work on that behavior before you get people in the crossfire hurt with your need to fight." he warned.
Toki smiled softly at Mephistomon "While we may be foes this day, you speak a truth that I wish more understood. Power is wasted on those who misuse it. Those with power should seek to aid not just a single being or a small group, but the world at large. When it is given to a select few, it leads to unnecessary conflicts like this."
He found himself to be relatively ignored by his opponents. Did they underestimate him for being amicable? Were they simply waiting for their moment? Toki sat there in his sanctuary as its light faded and began to crumble. He glanced over to Mephistomon and Nyao. Nyao was doing quite the number on him, so she could handle him for now. Phelesmon, however, was using illusions and tricks to avoid and counterattack RedMagnamon. From his position watching the fight, Toki stood and glided along his crumbling sanctuary, dancing around the falling structure to keep himself somewhat obscured from the enemies.
He jumped atop a falling diamond pillar and leap off of it with a twirl towards Phelesmon. Energy gathered within his hands, glowing with an azure light. Once the energy was gathered, he would be above Phelesmon. He aimed both hands towards Phelesmon "Souryuha." before sending the wave of clear azure energy towards him, the arcane blast threatening to burn through and send him to the ground. "Above you." Toki said in a somewhat mocking tone towards Phelesmon.
----------
Toki deftly dodges and weaves through his crumbling sanctuary to blindside Phelesmon from above with Souryuha.
Souryūha [Plot]: Zencherubimon centers himself, and draws forth the power of Ebonwumon to his palms, before directing them towards a single target, sending forth a near-transparent beam of azure energy from both hands. This technique entirely ignores those viewed as allies, piercing straight through them as if they didn't exist, to strike powerfully at a target. Deals high arcane damage. (3 Turn Cooldown)
Starlight Gaze 2/2, Diamond Sanctuary 1/3, Souryuha 0/3.

Nyao's assault was brutal and merciless. Katsura watched with an ominous indifference how Mephistomon was getting wounded and just barely avoiding not being outright murdered. As if she was watching a sports match, Katsura casually turned to Adrian, still keeping her emotionless dull tone and mannerisms.
"He's quite sturdy isn't he?.. Last time Nyao was this upset things got... Messy..." There was something in Katsura's pause that made it sound like an understatement.
"Be ready Adrian... When the light dies... I might ask you to put it back..." On the battlefield, Nyao had got the worst anger out so she took a deep breath. She was still just as angry as before but at least now she had regained her ability to calculate her movements. Nyao walked after Mephistomon, she didn't do anything at all about the orbs Mephistomon launched and was hit point black... And still moved exactly like before! Not only did the orbs not explode or anything, the second they made impact on Nyao's skin her skin ate them outright. If Nyao had any wear and tear it was completely gone now, she didn't even look like she had exercised at all.
"You should listen to your own advice while you can" She followed Mephistomon all the way to the Shroud of Darkness like a predator stalking its prey, almost literally in fact. She made a mocking huff at the sight of Mephistomon disappearing. "Hah, You really are a coward, fine stay where I don't have to look at your face." Instead of going in risking an ambush, Nyao just blew a smoke cloud. But Nyao hadn't lit a cigarette, either way a smoke of Nyao's choosing had contaminated the Shroud of Darkness. Mephistomon might soon realize that with Nyao around nowhere is safe because it turns out this particular gas was poisonous. Nyao wanted to force Mephistomon to choose between poison or sword. Will Mephistomon even notice his supposed safe heaven was contaminated before it was too late?
Nyao just assumed a fighting stance and waited patiently for Mephistomon to make a move.
Darkness Absorbtion + Regeneration VS Shadow Orb: Instead of taking damage Nyao is now completely healed.
Nyao attacks with Love Poison and contaminates the Shroud of Darkness
Effects: Buffs/debuff: Eyes of dread: (3/5) Wild Growth (2/3)
Cooldowns: Night Stalker (0/2)
Love Poison: Sprays out a toxic mist from her mouth that deals consistent damage during 5 post to anyone who inhales it. (cool-down: 2 posts) Darkness Absorption: (passive ability, RAM Upgrade Giga) when in physical contact with Dark energy, Nyao can convert the darkness into digital energy for herself essentially healing her by the same amount. The ability also gives Nyao a natural resistance to harm caused by dark energy (no solo digimon below Nyao's level can harm her using dark energy, it will in fact make her stronger because this ability can keep up. When a digimon her own level attacks her using dark energy the damage is halved. A digimon one level above Nyao deals 2/3 the damage and so on) Regeneration (passive): During every post, Nyao heals herself automatically. The amount of health received this way is enough to heal approximately one ultimate leveled attack per post. Predatory Eyes: (passive ability) Nyao's eyes are capable of seeing more than 10 miles away with perfect accuracy even in complete darkness.

What one does with their power defines them? Such irony, RedMagnamon thought. "You do realize that you're actively using your power to destroy those who simply disagree with you, right?" RedMagnamon asked Mephistomon. "And we're fighting simply to not be destroyed by the likes of you. Accept or deny, you do have power. Everyone does. And if we're going off what you just said, then you are not a very good Digimon. You're probably worse than I used to be, in fact!"
Right after he said that, Nyao came in and got a few good strikes in on Mephistomon, enough to make very good cuts and gashes. I know she's just under the influence of what's essentially a mind control card, but hell if Nyao isn't doing a hell of a good job kicking that goat's rear, Adrian thought with a smile on his face. Maybe we can actually win this...
Maybe Adrian spoke a little bit too soon, as RedMagnamon's Omni Core Fusion attack did strike, but the target was not there at all. The light of the aura showed the empty space of the dark cloud. "What?!" RedMagnamon yelled, surprised that his target had just vanished without a trace like that. He then looked at each pillar separately as they began to shake, unable to look at all four at once.
I might not be able to dodge this one...
RedMagnamon (and Adrian) prepared for the worst, but in the corner of his eye RedMagnamon noticed Toki moving directly above him and the pillars, energy gathering in his hands. He closed his eyes and simply dodged in a random direction, as he had no idea which way Phelesmon was coming from. He got lucky and moved towards his left. Hopefully the blast struck him...
During the battle, Katsura talked to Adrian with her trademarked emotionless state, saying how last time Nyao was upset things got "messy." "I'm going to assume that Nyao killed someone with the way you just said that."
It was one thing that Katsura had said that had Adrian mentally freak out in a way. Basically, he had to help bring back the painful light when it eventually fades away. He couldn't do that to his partner and best friend, but... he might have no choice. RedMagnamon is being hurt by the light! Posts until deletion: 1/3

Phelesmon's lunge, while precise, had also caused him to overextend. Instead of hitting RedMagnamon, he was left tumbling through the air upon his successful dodge. Unable to realign his balance in time, Phelesmon could only look up at the sound of Toki's voice. It was a direct hit to his back, and Phelesmon was left tumbling down to the ground in a heap. He landed right at the edge of the Shroud of Darkness. Salvation mere fingertips away, he started to crawl towards it. Unfortunately, just before he could reach the darkness Nyao's fetid cloud dissolved inside of it. Now stuck between a rock and a hard place, Phelesmon forced himself upright with his staff. It was time to rejoin the fight. "Clever. Very, very clever," he admitted, dusting his suit off.
Mephistomon dipped down to land behind him, the two facing each other back to back. "I am but a coward, Ise," Mephistomon said, applying Katsura's name to Nyao's. After all, they were truly family. "For one of your might, a foe such as me is woefully insufficient. But worry not." His face remained the picture of neutrality as he extended a hand towards Bagramon, shadowy strings impaling into the fallen angel's shoulders and back. With a single pull Bagramon jerked to his feet, settling into a mockery of a fighting stance.
"I will offer you better."
Mephistomon swiped his arm to the side, sending Bagramon lunging forward at Nyao. His tree-like arm swung right at her in a wild haymaker. His unconscious body had no self-preservation or restraint, making for a surprisingly powerful attack. After the lunge Mephistomon would do his best to keep the body positioned between Nyao and himself. If she wanted to get at the goat and his brother, she would need to find away around this new bodyguard.
As this happened, Phelesmon lifted his trident high. Crimson lightning began to spark at the trident's tip, then lashed out in bursts at both RedMagnamon and Toki. His attack fired off at a terrifying pace, bolt after bolt arcing towards each of the opposing Digimon. The sheer mass of sparks obscured Phelesmon's current location, making it difficult to discern which Digimon he was firing at during any given moment. However, the bright light that continued to illuminate the Sanctum may have spilled his secret; if Toki or RedMagnamon tore their eyes away from the attack to notice Phelesmon's shadow, they would see that nothing was coming from the tip of his staff. Only a single bolt of lightning, during the middle of his light show, actually had a shadow. It was aimed squarely at Toki's chest. Beyond this, the rest of his arsenal was illusionary.
Would they be able to notice in the middle of such a pitched battle?
Combat Log - Adrian cleanly avoids Phelesmon's attack, leaving him directly impacted by Souryūha. Phelesmon is damaged badly, and his attempt at retreating into the darkness is cut off by Nyao's toxic cloud. Mephistomon descends to cover his brother, seizing control of Bagramon to even the scales against Katsura and Nyao. He lunges forward in a vicious haymaker, trying to prevent the Mervamon's approach. Grasp of the Damned - Mephistomon ensnares an opponent in shadowy puppet strings. Disconcertingly enough, this even seems to work against a Digimon above Mephistomon's weight class . . . but perhaps Bagramon being KO'd is why he ended up susceptible. Phelesmon, taking liberal advantage of the cover provided to him, launches a swarm of illusionary lightning bolts at Toki and Adrian. A single spark, weak yet fast, is mixed in among the phantasms. Passive - Misty Visions - Phelesmon can generate illusions of all shapes, sizes, and varieties. He often uses this to intimidate opponents, illustrate points in his monologues, or just plain mess with peoples' heads. Crimson Lightning - Phelesmon shoots a burst of red-and-white lightning from his pitchfork. A weak yet fast-moving attack, often used to harass his opponents while moving from one point of cover to another.
