"Awww, you're such a sweetheart! Thank you!"
"You know I'd do anything for you!" Layla giggled, trying not to cringe as the Trailmon winked at her with two of its four eyes. Public transportation was unpleasant enough normally, when the trains were quiet. Having one babble in Layla's ear about their ideal wedding the entire time made it even worse. But it was either turn up the charm or have the train refuse to go because the trip was "too dangerous," so what else was a girl supposed to do? The Trailmon then sped off, shouting "Call me!" as it faded away into the tunnel.
Needless to say, Layla had no plans to call.
She wrung out the kinks in her neck as she stood in the station, trying to get a feel for what this human world was like. She had always planned on retreating here after establishing her base of operations in the Digital World, but being forced to act sooner than intended meant she didn't get a chance to properly scout it out. Was the air always so . . . fizzy around here? It was as if he data was constantly being plucked at by a million tiny needles, or perhaps like a small magnet was being run over her core. It wasn't entirely unpleasant, no, but it was odd and definitely a bit distracting.
Worse still, her form felt a little bit rigid. As she stretched herself out, the sensation of trying to move her wings was almost painful. She cringed slightly, making a mental note to keep them retracted into her body. While she was confident that her mastery over her own form would still hold up, it just wasn't worth it putting in the effort when a more subtle touch would do just fine. She'd just need to get used to it during her little vacation.
With all said and done, she took a little travel brochure from the side of the train station and began to read. She stretched out a single fingernail, even such a small action leaving her hand a bit numbed, and began marking off locations with a wispy black smoke. What was the fun of a getaway if you didn't spend it doing anything worthwhile?
A shame that this wouldn't exactly be the vacation Layla had intended on.

"...Commander?"
"Yes?"
"I'm... not sure if the readings I have here are true, but... according to the detection system, a Mega level digimon has just appeared in Shibuya".
This conversation quickly stirred up a panic at DATS Headquarters. The sensory equipment involved had no faults to report, so the reading was treated as genuine. Yet still, among the junior staff, none of them seemed to know how to react to this.
For Commander Hashimoto meanwhile, he mulled over the meaning of this. He was assured by the tech department that the digital disruptor network set up around Tokyo would prevent any Mega digimon from being able to hold that level of power for very long, yet, such an entity was now visible on the interface in front of him. For a time, he mulled over what to do next, quickly shutting up anyone who thought up their own brash, silly ideas.
In the end, it came down to this. He would have to investigate himself.
"But sir... you don't have a digimon partner" Agent Maria reminded him. Commander Hashimoto closed his eyes and took a breath. Yes that was true... it had not been true in the past, but, this was his reality now.
"I'm aware of that, Agent Maria" he answered, turning to look his agent in the eye. "But, with this level of threat, I think I will have to face them with all the power we can muster. Therefore, I will assign you, Agent Machine and Agent Tiger as my escorts. Your job will be to watch and observe. I have something of a hunch that the fact a mega level digimon has made such an incursion yet hasn't caused any damage yet means that their presence here is not an act of war. Yet they're still here regardless, so we must find out why. That's why I will personally act on this mission."
The DATS Agents seemed awkward about this, but none spoke in objection to this, so the Commander would act as he said.
Minutes later, a convoy of DATS vehicles would make their way through Tokyo from the DATS Headquarters to the Shibuya terminal. On the way, Commander Hashimoto made his orders clear. Only if he was attacked or physically threatened with attack were they authorized to act. He intended this to be a factfinding mission only. The three agents and their digimon acknowledged their orders.
And so, the core of DATS made their way into the Shibuya train station, heading toward the source of such strong data. And the source seemed to be... a humanoid figure dressed in black. Hashimoto couldn't believe his eyes for the moment, but... according to his equipment, the source of this signal was this strangely dressed woman. Inconspicuous to the point that people simply walked in front of her without paying attention. Yet... this was indeed a digimon.
Looking to see that agents Machine, Maria and Tiger were in position, Hashimoto approached the figure, clearing his throat.
"Hello there" he said in a professional tone. "My name is Commander Hashimoto of DATS and I name you a digimon. Would I be correct?"
He supposed that that would have to suffice as an introduction. At least in a way that wouldn't be too threatening, yet get right down to the business of this.

Layla turned to the approaching man, anything she had planned on saying to him flying out the window in the face of his question. Even a master actress like Lilithmon found it hard to stay stone-faced when her disguise had been effortlessly seen through. Humans and their scanners, Digimon on the prowl for data, and even her fellow Demon Lords had fall failed to pick her out when in human guise. How did this guy do it without a moment's hesitation?
While the look on her face remained placid, she clenched her free hand until her pale knuckles turned even whiter. "Didn't your mother raise you not to ask a lady that?" she asked, the dagger beneath her saccharine voice sharpened to the hilt. "Gonna guess you'll be asking how old I am next. Or maybe my weight." It was a quick, glib response, but it was pretty obviously not a no. Perhaps it was the least uncomfortable way that Layla could've drawn up a response.
With that little bit of teasing out of the way, Layla's stance shifted. She no longer sat like a young woman planning for a road trip, but instead like a queen settling onto her throne. Even the way her facial features settled made her look far more confident and wise than the startled girl who was originally approached. "All seriousness, I'm going to have to say the answer is 'not quite,' " Layla explained. "I may be a Digimon, yes. But I'm also something a lot more than that. I take it you're in the same boat. An average human wouldn't know what I am, as experience has shown me. So why don't you tell me a little about yourself, and then I can return the favor.
Tea, perhaps?"

Commander Hashimoto saw from the expression on the individual's face that the technology and intuition of DATS had struct true, that they had detected a positive target before they could reach the Shibuya ward and cause trouble. However, he didn't wish to provoke her to actions of anger at this stage. He just wanted to know why she was here.
"I apologize for my brusqueness, ma'am. My only intention was to ensure that both of us have the correct measure of each other in our first meeting. That I know that you are a Mega level digimon present on Earth, and that you know that I am the commander of the human force known as DATS that has been tasked to prevent digimon from entering and establishing themselves on Earth."
When the holosuited digimon shifted her stance and spoke her position, Commander Hashimoto took not of it carefully. Immediately he was disinclined to oppose her directly, mostly because of the power he thought she had in store. Indeed, he thought the best move would be for them to just talk at this stage.
The mega level digimon turned the question back upon him. As Hashimoto probably should have expected, but, he accepted this circumstance. "Very well, let's sit down and have some tea" the DATS commander said. His next planned moves did not need to be stated. If anything happened to him, his agents' digimon would move to eliminate anyone preceived as an enemy immediately. But, he trusted that it did not reach that stage just yet.
As long as the lady digimon remained peaceful, the DATS agents would also remain peaceful. A battle here would be the least desired outcome of this meeting, so for now, all would react with a simple goal in mind, to find out just exactly what the goal was here with everyone.

Layla couldn't help but laugh slightly at the Commander's comment. It wasn't one of cold mockery, but rather one of warmth, as if they were in on the same joke. "Oh, Commander," she purred, amusement flickering in her eyes. "I assure you, we aren't quite there yet. But how can anyone have the correct measure on a first impression like this? Not to worry, though. I'm sure we'll come to quite a bit of understanding over our tea."
The Commander was a lot less coy, stating his purpose in a single clear sentence. Layla raised an eyebrow at maybe the first time she had heard the name DATS. "Interesting," she said. "I know it's a sentiment shared by quite a few in my own world, and opposed by just as many. Though the intentions behind these thoughts vary quite a bit." She hummed to herself as she folded her travel brochure up, tucking it into the pocket of her hoodie. "Why, I know a few good reasons to keep such a ban in place myself. Maybe, I dunno, about six or so of them?"
Her suggestion of tea was well received. Unfortunately, making a suggestion was the easy part. Enacting it? That just left Layla looking around, letting out a slight huff upon realizing there wouldn't be one conveniently placed at the site of their arrival. ". . . Well. This is my first day in this world," she said. "You wouldn't happen to know any place where we could get our tea, would you? I'm sure an important man like you would prefer not to idle on a subway platform while I try to figure out my travel brochure."

Commander Hashimoto understood he was probably a little too rough around the edges for this meeting to go completely perfectly. All he could was be honest and state his purposes. Thankfully it was enough for this individual, who consented for their impromptu meeting.
The Commander listened to her words with interest. "I see. Well, we would not be opposed to that. Humans belong on Earth, digimon belong in the Digital World. That is how it should be, in our eyes. Of course, that none were harmed in the process." Unfortunately, when individuals resisted that, it would become the main impediment to their mission.
The holosuited digimon indicated she was unsure of where to go for their tea. Thankfully it was not peak hour in the Shibuya station kiosk area, meaning they had plenty of room to talk in a rear corner, away from all but a few stragglers.
"Here is as good as any." he replied. Hashimoto would ask the stranger what drink she would prefer, then after he ordered hot drinks for the two of them, he would lead her to a table out of the way from the rest of the public space.
Once they were settled, the DATS commander would attempt to get down to business. "Now then. First of all, can I please ask how I may address you?" he asked. Once that was settled, he would follow on. "From what you've told me so far, we seem to have similar goals. If this is true, I propose a free exchange of information. If you have any questions about this world, I will answer within what I'm permitted to say. In exchange, I would like the same to apply to you. Do you find this agreeable?"

"They are simply too different," Layla agreed, voice warm. "Honestly, sometimes I wonder how the Digital World even holds itself together. When the citizens of your world can range from a tiny black ball to a turtle the size of a continent, it can be a little hard to keep law and order. Best not to let that mess spill out into two worlds and make things even more complicated."
She cocked an eyebrow in interest at the mention of bloodshed. "Admirable, though not surprising," she said. "Humans tend to be a touch more squeamish about that thing than Digimon. Honestly, it's a nice change of pace. I've dealt with more than enough challenges in my lifetimes to already be sick of them. It'd be nice if more problems where I'm from could be solved with more tea and less rock-slinging." Awfully specific example there, Layla. But you do you.
As she settled into her seat, the Commander's question caught her eye. Immediately she leaned forward, smiling coquettishly. "You can call me anything you'd like~," she breathed, voice taking on a low, warm tone. Some of that Lilithmon charm was being turned on, because despite not looking any different physically there was an overwhelming presence around the girl. Perhaps it inspired adoration, perhaps it inspired fear, or perhaps it simply inspired awkwardness, but all but the strongest-willed individuals would find it almost impossible to take their eyes off of Layla.
This illusion promptly shattered as she leaned back, laughing. "God, no, could you imagine? I might be the Demon Lord of Lust, but that doesn't mean I'm not gonna take this conversation seriously," she said. It seemed like just a silly joke on the Demon Lord's behalf . . . and yet, Layla would be quite attentive to how the Commander and his company reacted. It could present some useful information for continued negotiations. "You may call me Lilithmon. Although I'm starting to become quite fond of the name Layla. It certainly works better in my human guise.
I do find our terms agreeable, Commander. And I know the common mantra is ladies first, but I've had years to talk about my opinions. I'm far more interested in hearing what you have to say. So, shall we?" With her point made, Layla sat back and prepared to listen.

Hashimoto found that he agreed with the digimon. If their worlds remained linked, all that chaos would spread to Earth. And that was not something he could abide by.
The digimon then remarked that humans tended to want peace more easily than digimon. The reason was obvious. Digimon more often than not had a second chance. Humans, on the other hand, had only one life. "We have a valid reason for that to be sure." the DATS Commander replied.
As they sat down, the digimon leaned forward, answering his question by saying he could call her anything he liked. At once he could tell she was trying to appeal to his base emotions. For a few seconds, he was tempted to fall for it, but, then he remembered where that had led in the past. All that resulted from that was a black hole, a time where all his joy turned to ash in his mouth, where he felt he could no longer feel such feelings again. Indeed, her powers were strong, but, Hashimoto's history was too painful to have that power overcome him.
Still, the powers of a digimon this strong were too powerful for a mere human. Despite trying to hold on, tears began to roll down Hashimoto's cheeks, stemming from emotions of a painful event long ago.
"Please stop whatever you're doing..." Hashimoto eventually requested.
It all ended suddenly. The DATS Commander breathed deeply once the effort was broken. He looked at the digimon with fright after that, he had honestly no idea they could do things like that. A flash of anger rose inside him, but he suppressed that. Of course, a digimon with that much power would easily flout it against a mere human. He had to remember what the stakes were.
Meanwhile, the squad of Agents behind him hesitated before making reactions. Had he given the order, they would have attacked at once, but he didn't, therefore they held back.
The digimon said her name was Lilithmon, but he was free to call her Layla. But, closest to the point, she agreed to his terms. An exchange of information. And she invited him to ask his questions first.
"Alright, these are my questions..." Hashimoto began, pulling a notepad from his pocket, opening and read what it said. "Question 1. Do you know the method in which humans and digimon move between our worlds? Question 2. Do you know how digimon become partners with humans? Question 3. What is your overall aim in the digital world in regards to how you'll interact with us on Earth? Question 4. If we manage to break off the link between our worlds, what would your actions be then? And last question... as a digimon, what is your assessment of our world as you know it?"
Hashimoto realized he was being somewhat presumptive with his questions, so he felt the need to add, "If answering any of those questions is against your interest, that's fine, I will not force you to answer them."
But saying that, he was a little worried about what would happen if she didn't answer any of them, which would imply that their planets were destined for full war, which was not something he would like to happen.

The flicker of temptation in the Commander's eyes, followed by tears squeezing themselves down his stony face . . . frankly, it was music to her ears. Layla could already tell that this was going to be a fruitful partnership. Nevertheless, she had her fun for the day, and even such an exquisite reaction wasn't worth torpedoing a chance like this. She shot the Commander a sad smile. "Hey, don't worry," she assured him, voice taking a turn for the gentle and soft. "It's kind of a thing that happens around me. But, you've been a good host so far, so I'll do you a favor and turn it off." It was one of Layla's famous half-truths. Especially when she was first handling the Mark, it certainly made itself known when she didn't want it to. But the Commander didn't need to know how long ago she had handled that little problem.
After tormenting the poor guy, the least she could do was answer his questions. She leaned back, an eyebrow cocking in intrigue as he pulled out a notepad. "Rips between dimensions," she explained, handily answering the first question. "Weird thing is, they all seem to lead here. Almost makes me wonder if this place is, like, right at the edge between worlds. But for the most part they're not too stable. They show up without warning, and often go away without warning as well. Only two exceptions I can think of. First is if a human calls one up with a Digivice. Those are temporary too, but being on demand makes them a lot more convenient. Second is this very station. There's an old, abandoned terminal that only reacts to Digital cores, whether a Digivice or a Digimon's presence. Pass through it, and you'll find yourself in a space between worlds. The portal there's so stable, we pass trains through it. Literally."
Second question got a noncommittal hand wave. "Can't say I'm too sure on that one," she admitted. "Gonna sound weird, but I never really interacted with humans a ton until recently. You can be a . . ." She smirked mischievously, thinking of a certain redhead. "Fun group."
That carried right on into the third question, luckily! "Probably observe, have my fill of the place, see the sights," Layla said, tone quite casual. "Boring answer for a literal Demon Lord, I know. But trust me, if you saw how much I had on my plate back home, you'd know I really don't have time for any big designs on this world. Nothing personal. Just kinda how the cards fall."
At the mention of the link being shattered, her nose wrinkled in frustration. "Well, clearly not take that vacation I was talking about," she huffed. "I mean. I'd probably just be stuck dealing with another seven-way slap fight, lets be honest. But I'm sure you don't want to be bored by all that Demon Lord stuff. Sure, there's totally a chance it could spill onto your doorstep, but you seem like you'd have it under control." Layla mentioned that last part far too casually for such a catastrophic possibility!
The last question just got the Commander a blank stare. "Well, I sat in a train station, and then I got picked up by the Men in Black," she said, deadpan. "So, not much chance to make an impression yet. Maybe call me back in a week, see what I think, eh?
Think that should cover all your questions. For now." There was a knowing smile on Layla's face, as she waited to see which of the little seeds she planted would take root first. The next questions the Commander asked would reveal oh so much.

Hashimoto was grateful. He understood at least that a mega level digimon had powers beyond human comprehension, so, at the very least, her acknowledging this power and lifting it made him grateful.
Once that was dealt with, the DATS commander lifted his hand to his chin as he listened to the answers to his questions. It seemed there were multiple ways of travel between the worlds. One was through a personal portal activated by digivices. Another was a stable portal based in this terminal that they routinely sent trains through. He frowned at this revelation. While the obvious containment strategy would be to shut down Shibuya station and demolish the platform, that would cause an incredible amount of disruption to millions of people. It would never be agreed to, so that option was discarded in his mind immediately.
"I see, we expected as much." Hashimoto answered in response to this. That pretty much aligned with DATS' intelligence.
Next, it turned out Layla had no idea how humans and digimon got bonded. "Very well." he said, not paying attention to that line of questioning here.
The third answer was something of a relief. It seemed Layla was only here to observe and figure out where things stood, that she had few plans for Earth. "I'm glad to hear it. What happens on the digital world isn't our business." Hashimoto replied.
Layla's answer to his fourth question made Hashimoto curious. While pouty about missing out on her intended 'vacation', the mention of a seven-way slap-fight caught his interest. "I take it that you have upcoming plans for the digital world?" he asked. "While I won't prise so deep as to ask what they are... may I ask, would there be suffering?"
While officially it was none of his business what went on in the digital world, there was a part of Hashimoto that just wanted to hear if this person was planning something noble or evil. Of course it was not in his purview to intervene, he would simply like to know.
The answer to his last question was fairly vague, but Hashimoto didn't know what to make of it for the time being. For now, he supposed it was only fair to answer her as honestly in return.

"Plans is a bit of a strong word for it," Layla said, casually checking on her nails as she said this. "I mean. Daemon's got a plan. But Daemon's always got a plan. I don't know what's with him this incarnation, but he's been micromanaging us since he rose back to prominence." She sighed, rolling her eyes. "And of course, Lucemon flew the coop right away. They never got along well with Daemon even in the best of circumstances. But with them chafing against each other like this? Figure they're bound to collide sooner or later. Wrath and Pride, y'know?
That leaves the other four. Leviamon is always going to fall right in line under what the strongest says. She'll grumble about it the entire time, and scheme right under Daemon's nose, but when push comes to shove and he asks her to jump, she'll say how high. Sad, isn't it? But what else could you expect from poor little Envy? Then there's Belphemon. Not much to say about him. Just his mere presence is enough to cause trouble, so I tend to give him wide berth. But Daemon doesn't mind. Means he can spend more time doing his favorite thing: delegating. My baby brother, Beelzemon, just kinda does whatever he wants. And usually, what he wants is just to eat hard, drink hard, and party hard. So not much of a problem, not much of a help. But he's in the middle of the biggest city in the Digital World, and you can bet Daemon's gonna try and capitalize on whatever chaos he causes. That just leaves Barbamon. And honestly? I can't get a read on the guy. He's been shacking up with Daemon, so I think he's a loyalist, but Greeds are always in it for themselves when push comes to shove. I'd keep my eye on him if he didn't keep on disappearing.
So let's recap. We've got a demon literally defined by their ego, a resentful servant, a slumbering weapon, a hedonistic wildcard, and a self-serving schemer, all pushing their own agendas under the nose of a megalomaniac." Lilithmon took a long, slow sip of tea, letting her words sink in. She set the teacup down surprisingly gingerly, letting out a small sigh as she finished. "Yeah, that's a recipe for disaster no matter how you slice it. Pretty sure the suffering's gonna be inevitable. And once they start fighting, all it takes is for one of them to get the idea of hiding out here to bring that whole war to your doorstep.
And if you're wondering, no, they don't know I'm here. Far as Daemon knows, I'm still sneaking around the woods." She smiled softly, laughing a little. "Silly Daemon. Doesn't he know I have people for that?"

Commander Hashimoto paid attention to Layla's words here. When she was saying more than he could take track of, he would raise his finger and say "Excuse me, would you mind if I take down some notes here?" and remove a notepad and pen from his pocket. If Layla gave the okay, he would jot down notes of this conversation. He thought that would be more polite than activating some secret recording apparatus after all.
Hashimoto would then make a series of dot points on the pad, so he would be able to track them later. The points he made were thus:
- Daemon (m) (wrath) is the leader of Layla's group, micromanages. - Lucemon (nb) (pride) rebelled against Daemon. - Leviamon (f) (envy) seems troubled, but when push comes to shove, is loyal to Daemon. - Belphemon (m) (?, pr. sloth) avoided by others. - Beelzemon (m) (?, pr. gluttony) indulges in his own interests. - Barbamon (m) (greed) unknown intentions, acts loyal to Daemon.
This ensemble was interesting to Hashimoto. It appeared that in the digital world, there was a group of 7 powerful digimon, known as the Demon Lords, if his intel was right, and each digimon represented one of the seven deadly sins. And he was talking to one of them now.
"And, presuming you're the seventh of this group, that would make your trait "lust" I'm guessing, Layla?" Hashimoto asked, mainly for formality's sake. He at least tried to appear knowledgeable in this area, even though he knew Layla was far more powerful than he was.
Hashimoto listened to the summary of all this, then rubbed his chin uncomfortably. "A recipe for disaster indeed..." he stated. Those digimon starting a fight in the digital world, many lives would be at risk.
"I would like to ask one thing of you." Hashimoto began, arching his fingers in front of himself for a moment as he gathered his thoughts, then he spoke them. "If... it's at all possible, if any human gets caught up in these machinations, would it be at all possible for you to return them to Earth, rather than... hurting them?"
The DATS commander wanted humanity to have no involvement in this conflict on another world. And if there was any lives he could save here in this talk, he'd take that.

"Oh, surely one look at me already let you know that," Layla teased, giggling softly. She may have been Lust, but that didn't mean vanity was off the table! Then again, it seemed most of the Demon Lords dealt in vanity to some degree, with how Layla described their infighting. Maybe that was why Lucemon seemed the most stubborn of them all. "Sure, you get other Demon Lords popping up sometimes. Vainglory, Acetia, to name a few. But if it doesn't have an Icon, it's really just a title and a face. The real deals like yours truly have far more gravitas than that."
At the mention of humans, Layla tilted her head in curiosity. "Hurt them? Now why would I do that?" she asked. With how coquettish and playful her tone was through the entire exchange, it wouldn't be a surprise if Hashimoto thought Layla was still playing around. However, she seemed genuinely uncomprehending of what he had to ask. "Oh, come now. I would never do that! You humans are so much fun. It'd be a waste of perfectly good entertainment if you got whipped up in this little struggle. Besides, then I'm sure I'd have all of you pointing your guns at my head. And that'd be a really frustrating way to spend my vacation."
She put a finger to her chin, tapping it slightly as she looked around the room. "How about I do you one better? I, for one, would like the chance to enjoy my stay in this world without you or my brothers breathing down my neck. And I'm sure you'd love the chance to have a little secret weapon in these spy games you're playing. So why don't we strike a deal?" she asked. "I lend my aid to this . . . DATS, was it called? And in return, so long as I don't brush a single human hair out of place, I get to enjoy safe passage here." Content, she leaned back in her chair, waiting for the Commander to make his response.

Commander Hashimoto simply gave a nod while smiling at Layla's answer. She was very charming indeed, and he actively had to struggle to remain professional with her. But, with several years of painful experiences behind him, he managed to keep it so.
The mention of Icons made him curious. He had to inquire on this. "So, you're saying that Demon Lord class digimon do occur around the digital world, but it's only the seven that bears the Icon of Sin that are part of your group?" he asked. Simply because he had heard of scouting divisions that there were instances of digimon like Beelzemon and Belphemon roaming around, but, if he got what Layla was saying here, only her seven were the "true" Demon Lords.
Upon the Commander's request though, Layla seemed to quickly turn it around. He was very uncomfortable at the way she seemed to see humans as playthings, and this was something he felt duty-bound to object to.
But, then she made that suggestion. Hashimoto was silent as he mulled over it. He knew it was something that the DATS Director would never agree to, that digimon were inferior creatures that should not be negotiated with. However, the director was not here.
Commander Hashimoto despised Director Suzuki, seeing and knowing him to be a political grub that wanted to use the success of others to build on his own career. Indeed, he knew from the start that Suzuki intended to use his directorship of DATS as a catapult for him to become Prime Minister of Japan.
Yet... what would the risk of this agreement be? Hashimoto would effectively be entrusting the safety of a digimon of unknown but likely incredibly high power free reign within Earth. How could he agree to this?
Eventually, it came down to the crack in his soul that made him agree - the part of him that had once been an idealistic, good boy scout, the part of him where his digimon partner used to be. The feeling was bitter as it formed within him, but there was enough of a boost within Hashimoto to propel it onward.
"Alright, I agree." he said. "That arrangement is fine with me. If you assist DATS, you will be unimpeded by us on Earth."
Yet, after he said that, there were voices deep down that told him that was a terrible decision, but, those voices had only given Hashimoto grief in the time he had listened to them, so he was prepared to do this.

"Exactly," Layla said, her grin widening. "There are only seven of us. And there are always seven of us. We tend to differ from incarnation to incarnation, but I'm sure you don't need me to bore you with the details. Just know that you won't need to worry about every single Beelzemon you meet going on a gluttonous rampage.
Then again, I'm sure if you have it your way, you won't be meeting very many Beelzemon. Something feels . . . off about this city. Almost as if the air is thinner. While I'm totally fine with it, I feel like most Digimon would have a pretty rough time holding their forms." It seemed that the Lilithmon had noticed the Digivolution sanctions up around Shibuya. It also seemed that they had no bearing on her ability to hold her form, if only due to the extraordinary power that came with being a Demon Lord. Her mention of having no problems also stuck out like a sore thumb. Was she trying to assure the Commander that she would be a capable ally and secret weapon? Or was she compensating for something?
Her smile eased down to a sly grin as the Commander agreed to their allegiance. "Then its a pleasure doing business with you, Commander," she said. She eyed the DATS escorts that came with him up and down, humming to herself, before perking up in her seat. "One second, please~!" With a snap of her fingers, Layla was suddenly clad in a full on DATS uniform. For the deadly sin of Lust, it was surprisingly conservative. Sure, it fit her form worryingly well, but at least she was respecting the integrity of the uniform instead of making the sexy Halloween costume equivalent of it. It even came with a cute hat! "There we go. I should fit right in like this. And if anyone's causing trouble? Well, I bet they won't even see me coming." There was danger in that grin . . . but at least it was danger on the Commander's side.
After a few seconds, her grin fell. "Wait, is this the part where I have a bunch of paperwork to sign?" she asked. It promptly worked its way back up, a tease at the edge of her voice as she continued. "Or, dare I say it, is this little deal of ours off the record?"
