Chapter IV: The War of Terminus
Episode 7: The calm before the storm? War is about to break loose. "I've reached a boulder in my investigation to decrypt the key that will let us enter the Dark Army's fortress." "A... boulder? What does that mean?" "I cannot keep working with the information I currently have, Misu. That's why I need the four of you."
Cold. Very cold. Katherine and Jazz had forgotten how the weather was around here. Snowflake Village was their set destination. And although they came well prepared, clothes-wise, this cold was still taking its toll on both girls since the moment the group came out of the portal. The Spaniard had a green coat that went perfectly with her eyes. Her hands were covered with black gloves and a set of dark jeans and brown boots finished her outfit. It was hard to get that hair inside a skullcap or anything of the sort, so the coat's hoodie was the only protection she had on her ears and face. On her side, Jazz was not letting this weather find her unprepared this time! White pieces of clothing were covering all of those small gaps her pink pig-suit left, so her body was not exposed. They had a cute, snow-like design all over. The things you could find in stores around Whitewater City, huh? She looked adorable! Except for the giant earmuff placed around her head. Why did she even need that? Her ears were protected inside her suit! As with most of her random manners, Katherine decided to not bother her much about it. Of course, they weren't alone in this little adventure to the coldest zone of the Digital World! Akemi and Anzu, as always, had joined in for the ride. The duo's commitment to Katherine and Jazz's mission was rock-solid. That much couldn't be denied. But... why were they here? Well, that should be no mystery for the hatted girl and the Tsukaimon themselves. Bastian had called the two human girls and their partners that morning to assign them their mission. A very important one, at that. "So... why on earth did Bastian own a house in such a cold place, being that he was born in the desert?" Jazz asked out loud, taking both hands to the back of her head in a relaxed manner. "You should've asked that to him. Our job right now is to browse between his books for the 'decrypter'." "Us...?""Yes. I still have a lot of work to do. Even if I know what I have to do up to 90% of the job, I still need to do it. So I really can't go there right now, Misu." "Go where?""Snowflake Village. That's where an old warehouse I own is located. I'm 100% sure there's a book called the 'decrypter' inside of the place. I bought it years ago from an old merchant in Rustport. I never thought I'd need it so I sent it there. The Decrypter holds the information I'm missing to know how to do the 10% missing of this decrypting. Once I have it, we'll be able to enter the Dark Army's fortress very soon." "Once we find it, we can get out of here... Even if he did mention there were a lot of books inside that place. That's why there's four of us. You know what--they-- s..." Katherine slowed the pace of her words until she interrupted herself completely. She was a bit... distracted. Doing what? looking at a giant palace located to the side of the street. A police chord around the perimeter. One of the upper walls of the structure seemed to have been destroyed. The teenager took out her D-Terminal. It showed a map of the area. She read out loud the content showing on the screen "Moruka Palace." Upon expanding on the news related to the location, she found something else. "Heart's Family wedding frustrated inside the Moruka Palace."
Family wedding? Could this be.. that event Amelie had mentioned? Unable to connect the dots just yet, the teenager turned towards her best friend. "Any idea of what happened here?" She asked Akemi. Her green eyes went to Jazz... only for her to notice her digimon partner was not there anymore. Why? The Chohakkaimon was dragging Anzu to a local stand of sweets, located right at the other side of the street. The green-eyed let out a sigh. "Anzu!" Jazz shouted, extending the last vowel, as usual. "Let's buy something yummy to eat!"She just couldn't remain still when her best friend was around, could she? She just got so over-excited! Akemi & Anzu

"I suppose you need a place to lay low everywhere in the world when you're in such a line of work...Even if you're in such a unforgiving place as the Tundra." Anzu glanced outwards towards the palace as they passed by. "Huh, someone appears to have done a number on that place...Seems that's one area we should avoid." The accursed bean murmured.
Akemi, meanwhile, was dressed for the weather. A jacket. Boots. A scarf. Her dedication to helping Katherine and Jazz with their mission had only intensified in the last few days, something that surely proved to be a boon. Right? She looked to the ruined palace and offered her two bits. "Based on what you just said and what I'm seeing? Think a wedding got a bit...feisty? I'm not sure." She was vaguely aware that something happened in that palace.
Someone might need an explanation. Meanwhile, Anzu was swiftly dragged away, the Tsukaimon looking like she was actually surprised at this. "Uh...Well, sure! What do you want to eat?" Akemi watched them for all of two seconds before she tugged at Katherine's arm. "Hey, we should get something too, um...We might be in that warehouse for a while. It might be best if we don't go in on empty stomachs."
But would the Spaniard accept?

There was little room for doubts. This had to be that place Amelie had talked about. To think the Dark Army had been around here just some weeks ago. To think her own friend had helped them, in order to gain a closer look at how they were working. To think that she had even spoken to Luke back then.
Katherine was immersed in her own thoughts for a while. To face a group that was capable of… all of this. Would they be able to? Could they go into the devil’s cauldron and come out victorious? The sweetest voice on earth brought her back to reality. For a second, she just stared at Akemi, bringing her head back to the situation. Right now, it didn’t make sense to hang around here for too long, anyway. Time to focus on other things.
“I brought some food.” She showed a smile to the shorter girl, pointing at the backpack around her back with her thumb. “I do think we’ll be there for a while, so I decided to bring some of the supplies we had around the tent.” Didn’t she have kept the infini-store Amelie had lent her during her date with Akemi? She had. But there was some stuff she just didn’t like to store in there. Food, for example. Yet…
The teenager’s eyes caught a glance of the stand Jazz and Anzu were approaching. It was a wooden stand with lightbulbs of different colors decorating the layout. Different types of popsicles, bags of candies and sweets could be seen from there.
“Those… do look very good, though.” She noted. A pink glow appeared on her cheeks. She was curious to taste those. Maybe she just needed a push to join the digimon in their craving for candy.
“Bastian gave the address to you, right?” Akemi was in charge of getting them there, after all. “Are we close enough?” The teenager inquired.
In case it wasn’t that clear for the hatted girl, maybe they could ask someone?
“I want SWEETS, Anzu. SWEETS!” Jazz declared, placing the bean on top of the counter upon saying that last word. Why? Who knows. She just placed her friend there to lapidate her statement.
The clerk just stared at the Chohakkaimon. Then, her eyes went towards Anzu. The Mojyamon, a hairy, white digimon, just threw a single question Jazz and Anzu's way…
“A-Are you… paying with a Tsukaimon?"

"Oh, that's actually a pretty good move!" Akemi gave a smile to the brightest person in the village for all she cared. It was nice that she was able to bring Kath back to reality, the girl must have had some uncertainties about what lay ahead. Both here and in the future.
She looked elated at the Spaniard actually wanting to get some more food, though. "I know, right? Um...I have the address right here, and we -are- close enough...Maybe we should ask." Akemi replied, holding up the D-Terminal up. It never hurt to, after all. She went towards the very counter Anzu and Jazz were at.
"Bahahaha! Oh, no, clearly the ChoHakkaimon here is my currency. Everybody likes bacon, after all. Annyways, allow me to reveal my lovely deceit, and once I do? Gimme the good stuff!" The Tsukaimon stated as she reached behind herself and revealed...About 4000 bits. Yep, she was serious about this. Akemi quickly cleared her throat.
"Excuse me, would you happen to know where this address is?" She presented her D-Terminal to the Mojyamon, with the address of the warehouse on the screen.

Did the uncontrollable desire of randomly hugging Akemi tightly ever wear off? It hadn’t up to now, so it was likely it never would! However, the internal conflict to bring herself to actually do it wasn’t something easy to get rid of either, so most of the times she actually wouldn’t.
“Thank you.” Katherine showed a coy smile to her peer. “I’m not super good at cooking, but I hope you enjoy it.” She added. Well, better to say it now, so Akemi didn’t get her hopes up with her cooking, right? “That’s a good idea.” The teenager agreed.
The duo approached the stand to find… Anzu saying something extremely weird. No surprise there. “I-I’m not paying with Anzu!” Jazz seemed in the need to clarify. “… unless you are selling the whole stand.” Well, every pig had a price, right? Wait… what did she say? Before Jazz could say anything about Anzu's comment, both she and her tamer saw Anzu take some bills out of a small pack. It had been a while since Katherine and Jazz had actually seen bits in their physical format but, most importantly…
“C-Cute…” That escaped Katherine as she stared at the Tsukaimon. Anzu with a little backpack? Adorable.
Jazz, on her side, seemed to be more on the excited verge. “Hell, yeah!” She raised both arms into the sky, only for a bright flame to start coming from beneath her, startling the Mojyamon.
“Jazz!” Katherine took some steps back. Then, she turned at the store’s clerk. “I-I’m sorry… she sometimes does that.” Hard to explain, but she did
“Oh, god! What do I want!? I want… I want…” The Chohakkaimon seemed a bit nervous, even! She felt like the time was running out. “I want… ice cream!"
Now, the Mojyamon seemed a bit… perplexed. “W-We don’t… sell that.” “What!? Why not?!” “Why would anyone buy ice cream in such a cold place?” For such a smart digimon, Jazz didn’t think too straight when she was hungry. Maybe Anzu should help her with her order.
“Hmmm… I don’t think I’ve ever heard of anything being there.” The store clerk noted, looking at Akemi's D-Terminal. “But… that place is close to the south gate of the city. You should walk a couple of blocks in that direction.” She raised her big hand to point to the group where they should go. “You’ll see a huge arc and once you go through it, you should see whatever you’re looking for, in case it’s still there.”
She didn’t seem too convinced. Could it be due to the warehouse being abandoned for so long? They’d have to go there to find out.
Katherine took out her D-Terminal. First, she scanned the store clerk. Time to know what kind of digimon she was! Then, she transferred some money into the Mojyamon’s own device (that store-detecting feature was really useful!). The digimon checked the wired transfer and turned to see Katherine. The Spaniard pointed at a bar of chocolate with a golden wrapping, displayed between the goods.
Once the Mojyamon had given it to her, Katherine’s green eyes went to Akemi. “Do you… want some?” No, it was more than that. “I actually… wanted to share it with you.” Was her idea of something romantic a bit… odd? Maybe. But everything she did for Akemi was filled with the sincerest love.

"Well, even if you're not good at cooking, I think I'll still like it. Because Katherine made it." It didn't matter to her. Akemi was perfectly fine with however Kath's cooking would end up. Anzu, of course, didn't waste any time. "Hm. Jazz, try looking around the stand. I think there might be something you like here?"
There were a variety of hot, baked pastries that'd definitely warm the cores of anyone who consumed them on the stand. Like cinnamon rolls. Or pretzels. Speaking of, Anzu pointed at the pretzels. "Hey, wanna try one of those? I hear they're really popular in some parts of the human world!" There was also meat and fish present...But away from the pastries. Anzu gestured repeatedly towards the cinnamon rolls, indicating she wanted one of those. What would Jazz pick?
"So it's southward..." Akemi mused, not seeming very convinced or enthused that they'd likely need to walk just a bit more, but they'd be able to make it there in no time if they wrapped their business up here. Akemi's eyes went to meet with Kath's as she bought some chocolate for her.
"...I'd love some..." ...She was blushing now. "I was kind of...wondering if you'd want to share too." Akemi said, pointing at a similar bar before making the purchase. "Between you and me. Um...." And already, words were starting to fail for her.
Someone, please help this poor girl.

In theory, Katherine should be okay with dealing with the fact that she liked another girl by now. Some time had passed and even if she wasn’t super used to the idea, at least she could keep herself together. That was in theory, of course. In practice, Akemi was so goddamn adorable it was hard to breathe! “R-Right.” The girl 'monosyllable’d' her answer. Why did she have to get so flustered around her when she said those things?
All the while, Jazz wondered why did they have to be so many possible choices!? The Chohakkaimon lowered her gaze, a flame coming from beneath her while she concentrated on taking the best choice possible. In the end, she pointed at what she wanted. It was a bag of chocolates. The Mojyamon handled it to her.
After all, Anzu had done a pretty good job accounting for variety for the duo of friends. Or at least that’s how Jazz would like to think about them. As really good friends.
So now, Katherine was going to share her own bar of chocolate with Akemi, but they would also share hers? That was doubly romantic!... wasn’t it?
“I would love that.” She was blushing too. But that was fine, really. If Akemi was by her side, she couldn’t care less. Was it too clingy to say ‘I love you’ right now? Ugh, it probably was. The teenager, like most of the times, refrained from it.
Once the purchase was done, the group started moving. It seemed like they only had to walk for a few blocks, so that was a good thing.
Jazz’s eyes widened up as soon as she introduced the first of those chocolates in her mouth. What the…? Those things tasted amazing. It was really something else! They were pure chocolate that just melted in your mouth as soon as you got it inside. “Anzu! Anzu!” She grabbed the bean and held it under her arm. “You’ve got to try this.” Then, she went to introduce the chocolate inside the Tsukaimon’s mouth.
“J-Jazz!” Oh boy, more scolding. “Don’t drag Anzu around like that just because she’s smaller than you!” That was so rude, right? Well… maybe they’d have to see what Anzu thought about that. In the end, it was clear the pig’s intentions were good.
As Akemi offered a piece of her chocolate bar to Katherine, the Spaniard seemed in quite a predicament. She had her hands busy holding her own chocolate bar and looking for something inside her backpack. After looking for a solution for a couple of seconds she ended up just… opening her mouth a little, so Akemi could just slide that piece of chocolate in. All of this while blushing a lot in the process.

It felt like a chain reaction occurred whenever Akemi was with Katherine. The latter did something that she found cute and she ended up reciprocating. It always went like that. Seeing her get so flustered, however? That brought a smile to Akemi's face. She had gotten used to the idea that she liked girls (or, rather, she liked Kath. A lot.) But she hadn't gotten used to the fact that her girlfriend was so damn cute!
Anzu, meanwhile, was handed her cinnamon roll as Jazz got her chocolates. The bean immediately made like another, particular member of her species, and...unhinged her jaw solely to consume the cinnamon roll entirely, as though it were an unfortunate simian. All capped off with a 'nomf' sound.
Kath seemed quite amicable towards sharing the chocolate. Good, good! While this was as Akemi hoped? Sheee didn't really know what else to suggest. Or what to suggest afterwards. "That's great!" ...Why was she beaming at this? As Jazz came to an epiphany about the beauty of chocolate and tried to introduce Anzu to said beauty, the Tsukaimon wriggled in the pig girl's grasp! "H-Hey, don't m-manhandle me like that!"
That was before she got a face stuffed full of chocolate. Sure, she liked the sweets but she was completely helpless here! Akemi, meanwhile, noticed Kath fidgeting with her backpack, and the girl opening her mouth. She stuck the piece of chocolate in her mouth with no remorse, snickering at the sight. "Careful not to bite off more than you can chew!"

For a winged bean who could turn into a mist demon, Anzu could be pretty adorable at times! Seeing her wriggle while Jazz grabbed her, made Katherine mutter again. "Adorable..." Maybe this time it had been loud enough for the Tsukaimon to hear her? Maybe not. She was honestly kind of busy at the moment. Jazz had gotten a lot of chocolate inside her mouth, after all.
"B-But! It's so good!" Jazz squealed, unable to contain the Tsukaimon any longer and letting her fly freely. This was, no doubt, one of the best sweets she had ever tasted. Why were they so good? They were just the perfect balance between sweet and sour, honestly.
Katherine would have actually said sorry to Anzu on behalf of her partner, but her mouth was kind of busy, getting some chocolate from Akemi. After swallowing, the girl showed a smile to the shorter teenager. Her eyes were glimmering right now! "It's so good!" Did it taste better because it was Akemi who gave it to her? Who knew.
Regarding her lover's next comment, the Spaniard first reaction was to blush intensively. "Well, don't blame me if I do..." Then, some words came out of her mouth in one of those phrases she just couldn't keep herself from saying and that she would usually find extremely embarrassing. "... there are some things you just can't get enough from." She finished her comment, looking at Akemi with what could only be defined as a predatory gaze. Was she talking about chocolate? She really wasn't...
Once Akemi had replied to this (if she could), this moment would be interrupted by the sound of Jazz's voice. "So this must be the arc that Mojyamon mentioned, right?" Would you look at that! they were there! "Could that be the place?" The Chohakkaimon raised a finger to point at what seemed to be an old, small double storeyed tower. The stretch building had a window on the second floor and one on its first floor. The entrance and part of the front of the structure were partly covered with snow, even if it wasn't impossible to access to it.
If Akemi checked on her D-Terminal, she would probably discover that was actually the place. They only had to go up a very small hill to get there. Would Anzu and Jazz enter right away as usually?

Anzu's mouth was stuffed right now, but one could definitely hear her trying to grumble out her usual 'I'M NOT ADORABLE' spiel. Definitely. She flew free of Jazz's grasp and settled at the top of her head, like a second hat that called you things, and leered down at the piggy girl.
Akemi meanwhile beamed at Kath, happy that she made a good call with the chocolate, though...Katherine's words ended up prompting her to just turn a bit red and cover her face with her hand. "...I-I mean...You're one of those things, you know..." The girl managed to mumble, flustered as all hell. Even more so with that -look- Katherine was giving her.
...Wow, they really weren't talking about chocolate. Anzu decided to also interrupt this moment. "Yeah, that's definitely an arc! ...Is this really a warehouse or is it just a big spooky wizard tower?" She wondered, aloud as she stared at the old tower. Akemi hastily withdrew her D-Terminal and buried her face in it. "...This is it. So, instead of barging in, can we just all go in together? Just...Just this once?"
"...But barging in's fun..." Anzu pouted.

This was a pattern by now. Anzu saying she was not cute usually involved a lot more of cuteness. What could she say? Katherine had a weakness for the little Tsukaimon and all of those bad memories from that afternoon where three Tsukaimons bullied her were long gone. It was hard to tell sometimes, but they had gone through so much together! Besides, she and Jazz were best friends now. They had even learned to fuse into a single digimon. The Chohakkaimon leered back at the Tsukaimon up her head.
The blushing exchange between Katherine and Akemi had been interrupted by the fact that they had actually arrived at their destination. The group went up the hill and stood in front of the tower.
“It does look a bit different from your average warehouse.” Katherine really liked the vibes this place gave to her. The whole structure had a very mystic layout. Even though small, it was very unique.
Before the green-eyed could actually say she liked Akemi’s idea of going in together for once, Jazz gave her own response.
“No.” She hissed, kicking the door open and going in with Anzu above her head.
The pig-girl studied the whole layout of the first floor in a matter of seconds. It was a quiet, dusty, very-little organized place with a bunch of bookshelves, books were thrown on the floor and a dim morning light entered through a window by the end of the chamber, which provided just enough illumination for them to see everything they needed to see. A long set of stairs raised the Chohakkaimon’s attention and, after asking Anzu about it, she ran upstairs.
Katherine? She just let out her usual sigh and started walking in, hoping Akemi followed her. Once the two of them entered, she closed the door.
She gazed at the floor. In her excitement, Jazz seemed to have dropped the bag of chocolates she had bought back at the stand. It still had many chocolates inside. Katherine re-wrapped her own bar of chocolate and put it inside her backpack and picked up the Jazz's bag. Then, she called out for her partner.
“Jazz. How is it up there?” The human asked out loud, hoping her partner could listen to her.
“It’s… okay.” Jazz replied. Then, she waited for Anzu above her head to describe how was the second floor. What had they found in there?
Katherine, downstairs, would put her own backpack on top of an old, dusty table, after checking how much dust there was actually on it with her hand. The answer was: a lot. She took a good look at the first floor.
“Bastian sure had a lot of books.” Her eyes scanned all of the bookshelves. They were completely cluttered. “So… should we start looking?”

A pattern it was. And they did walk away from the beach knowing far more about each other, as well as their partners. Bonds were a curious subject, especially in a world such as this one, were they not?
Akemi gave the 'warehouse' a once-over. This...looked less like a warehouse and more the tower wherein a mystic would reside. After Akemi had expressed a palpable amount of disappointment at Jazz straight up going 'no' to her plan of going in together, she sighed and let out some air. "It...looks more like it's from a fairy tale. Wanna be princesses? Or wizards? I think the latter sounds cooler, personally."
Anzu's first impressions of the place? "...Not bad, but this is also terribly organized...Look at all the stuff on the floor, sheesh! C'mon, let's check upstairs before Kemi and Kath come in to be party poopers!" And off they went! Akemi had followed Kath in, otherwise. She gazed longingly at Jazz's abandoned bag of chocolates, before she listened for their partners.
"Well, there's a shitton of books up here! Way more than on the lower floor! ...Kind of dark, though. There's just the one window to see through. Maybe there's a light? Jazz, go look for lights! The ruler of Anzutopia demands it!"
Akemi siiighed. "He did. So." Let's get down to business. She cracked her knuckles and set her own bag down on the table. "We're looking for the Decrypter. Whether this is the literal name of the book or not, I don't know. I'd suggest we try sorting the place out alphabetically, but that'd...take too long. And we're likely expected back after a while. So, we should scour both floors. In addition, and this is just theory on my end, the title of the book...might not be what we were told. I don't know. What do you think?"

It was a good thing that Katherine wasn’t completely oblivious to other people’s feelings. She had actually noticed Akemi seemed a bit sad their partners hadn’t considered her idea. Slowly, Katherine wrapped her arms around her. The digimon weren’t here anymore, so… why not? A warm hug was delivered.
“I think your idea was the best. They’re just like that.” Would that be enough to cheer her up? Hopefully, it would. “I think I would do a great wizard, but you would probably do a very cute princess.” Maybe for Akemi it was actually the other way around. But Katherine was definitely always quicker in noting her lover’s beauty than her own. That was just the normal procedure, right?
For a second or two, Jazz leered at Anzu, looking a bit confused. “I-I thought Anzutopia was that castle we built back at the beach!” She noted. This didn’t keep her from running around the second floor looking for lights to turn on. She bumped into a desk at the middle of her task and noticed something above it. A portrait. “Hey… look.” A smile appeared on her face as she made a sign for Anzu to flutter closer and lifted the object. “Aren’t those Bastian and Paul?” They were. They seemed to be at a train station, smiling joyfully. Another digimon Jazz had never seen was standing with them, smiling too. “They look happy.”
Katherine’s green eyes were just affixed on Akemi as the shorter girl cracked her knuckles. She couldn’t do that! She would hurt her hands. A chuckle escaped the curly-haired girl. “You’ve always been tougher than me.” Was Akemi’s peer having trouble to concentrate? That was very obvious right now. But who could blame her? It was always hard to concentrate while having the girl she loved by her side.
Still, she did her best effort and cleared her throat, trying to accomplish a serious tone of voice. “According to Bastian, the book is called ‘The Decrypter’. He told us it had a green cover but the name was not written on it, so that could make things a bit harder.” The teenager wrinkled her mouth and raised her gaze, thinking. “Well, Bastian did mention he wasn’t totally sure that was the name so… you might be right. The book might have another name. But I think he probably remembers the color of the cover right, so that has to be a clue.” However, if they were going to look by color rather than name, the poor illumination around the first floor wasn’t helping.
“A fireplace.” Katherine’s eyes glimmered. It was dusty and abandoned like the rest of the place, but it seemed like it worked. Oddly enough, it already had chopped-down logs inside. They looked in pretty good shape and ready to be lit on fire. “I think the fire would not only illuminate things better but would also keep us warm.” Then, another thoughtful expression appeared on her face. “… do you happen to have a lighter or something?”
It would be ideal if... “… any way of lighting the fire that doesn’t involve bringing the digimon down here, preferably."

If there was one thing Akemi could always count on Katherine to be, it was perceptive. The girl leaned against the Spaniard, clearly elated at this. Good thing Anzu and Jazz were definitely not down here. "...I'd like you to be my princess, you know?" Akemi told Katherine, before she quickly went to kiss Katherine on the cheek! Whether or not she successfully stole that kiss was anyone's guess.
Anzu looked down to Jazz. "No, silly! Anzutopia's everywhere. If you think it, then the place is Anzutopia. Simple, right?" She said before she looked up at the portrait, having held onto Jazz's hat as she bumped into the desk. "...It really is. They truly are best friends, are they not?"
Kind of like you and me. The bean though, before a small smile graced her face.
"Well, we at least know what the book looks like." Akemi stated, before she gave the first floor a cursory glance. Yep. Definitely distracted. It was also quite dark here...She gave a nod to Katherine before she went towards the fireplace and took out a set of matches. She struck one against the box before throwing the lit match into the logs.
And within moments? The warmth of a fireplace filled the room, as well as illuminated it. "Does that answer your question?" She turned towards Kath with an earnest smile on her face. "Anyways, shall we get to decrypting this decryptor's location? ...Sorry, I've always wanted to say something like that..."

There were some things she just couldn’t get used to. Katherine’s heart raised every time Akemi said those beautiful things to her or went for a kiss, and she could not avoid it. And she didn’t want to, honestly. She liked the fact that it always felt so special. The Spaniard blushed and just hugged the shorter girl tightly.
“T-That makes you the owner of everything!” Jazz reacted to Anzu’s previous words after she had the portrait in her hands already. Considering the Tsukaimon was atop her head, was Jazz part of Anzutopia right now? No way to know, right?
“They are.” Jazz smiled and funneled her attention back to the pic, studying it closely. “It’s so sad they had to separate." A pause ensued. "But…” Now, a determined glance had appeared on her face. “… once we defeat the Dark Army, they will be able to reunite.”
The pig-girl blinked twice, realizing there was something she had never asked the Tsukaimon. “Have you been in Terminus, Anzu?” She inquired, her eyes going up to her friend. “Does that look like it?” And who was that other digimon accompanying them? Well, of course, it was likely Anzu didn't know that.
Katherine put the bag of chocolates on top of an old table next to her. Then, she put her hands together to give a short clap at Akemi’s sense of precaution. Of course, it wasn’t too loud considering she was wearing gloves. “You’re a genius.” She came so well prepared! That was awesome. Katherine walked towards the fireplace and took her gloves off, extending her hands to heat up. She beamed at how warm it was. Good, she really needed that.
The green-eyed teenager chuckled at Akemi’s comment and walked to her, placing her hands on her cheeks. “See? They’re warm now.” She said, smiling. The fire was slowly starting to heat the place up, which was honestly a good thing. “We really should start looking, huh?” Added the girl, without taking her hands off her lovers’ face. Her gaze was going through the bookshelves, trying to decide where to start. As her eyes went to the layout of the first floor they found… Akemi… and then… those lips. Katherine just stared at those. A bright blush appeared on her cheeks. Gosh... what was she doing? She couldn't stop looking at them! But... at the same time, she didn't want to. What did she want? Wasn't it obvious? Was she really hesitating about going for a kiss?
