"We saved her from villagers, she's really nice!" Bless Simba for his ability to see the kindness in others more than anything else. Tohru, being a bit more concrete in her dimensional perspective on others, could see where Anzu's perspective came from since Megidramon weren't exactly known for being friendly. "Simba's right, but I guess every species has its occasional exceptions. It's a fascinating story to tell to be honest." But maybe they could leave out the fact that the villagers were after the dragon in the first place for eating their sheepmon? "If you want that, I've got plenty of stories, 'Kemi!"
"We've been...very busy but good otherwise!" This wasn't the time to really say they were taking care of sick Talia right? "Ooooh, its been a while since we've had deviled eggs..." At first the commented had bewildered Talia with her mind seemingly attempting to pinpoint where the reference had come from. "When did the two of you ever have deviled eggs-" As she spoke, she noticed one of her limbs glitch, this time it being her left leg but at this point it had become common for her and the twins to see and while there would have been reason to panic, the increasingly frequent glitches didn't seem to negatively affect her overall so why worry about it if there wasn't reason to right now? It did however remind her of that first day in the digital world when they'd met Amy and almost had their picnic lunch stolen by a group of bugs, which included fried chicken and...deviled eggs didn't it? "Ohhhhh..."
It was such a foreign memory now looking back at the woman she'd once been with different aspirations, different values, but in a way she was still...herself at the core? Or maybe she would be one day. "Heh, back then all I wanted was to find you two somewhere to live so you wouldn't have to bum off me anymore, and now the two of you are stuck looking after me!" That was another reason to join this place - should something happen to her due to this condition, they would have a group to rely on and not feel so alone - morbid way of thinking? Yes. Free insurance? Absolutely. "Political panorama? Sounds very Game of Thrones, I like it. I'm no Khalessi, buuut I have a dragon if you need one."The building Amy lead them to was plain but cozy inside, sort of resembling a less dirty freshmen university dorm with its abundant number of rooms and neutral colored walls along with what looked like a small common lounge at the front.

All in all, the construction of the inner halls of Deeplane had advanced at a blistering pace. It was something that made Amelie beam with pride as the group walked through the passageway. At this rhythm, it was safe to assume that the construction would be on working shape by the end of the year, and that was something that filled her with joy.
A small smile graced her face when Talia retold her story about the Megidramon incident. It was something that had a nebulous ending for her; all in all? There wasn't a lot for her to regret, except for not knowing what happened there in the end.
Would anyone present find the tale enjoyable? Amy wasn't sure, but it wasn't like that really mattered, anyway. "Adventuring in the Digital World tends to have that result. At the very least, it's nice to have a collection of anecdotes; I wonder if I could compile them all and write a book about them when all's been said and done? It'd be a nice way to end that chapter, don't you think?"
Or just an outlet for creativity. In any case, the group wasn't here to talk about that kind of things; the matters at hand were slightly more serious. On one hand, there was whatever was happening to Talia's body, prompting a raised eyebrow from the brunette, yet on the other... considering how the whole matter sounded Game-of-Thrones-y, it was pretty hard to discern! "Hopefully it isn't like that. Chances are that half of us are gonna end up dead before the season ends. That wouldn't be very nice, right? I do appreciate Simba being on our side, though!"
Political intrigue was something that Amy had learned by tripping and standing up again; most of the events surrounding the city's construction, overall what happened in the Dark Area were her responsibility to an extent. Was that too much weight on her shoulders? Probably, but it was what she had asked for.
"We've been slowly... correcting how this place is perceived by everyone. From its own inhabitants to the outside world, time and fate hasn't been really kind to the Dark Area. But that's an old story, isn't it? Once this place is finished, everyone all around the world will be looking at this place with envy. I can assure you of that."
A pretty tall order, all things considered! "Silly idealism aside, the perceived opinion of this place has progressively transformed from suspicion to hope, and that's exactly what we want to achieve, yet... as you might imagine, that's not what everyone in this place, or even in the Digital World wants."
By now, the group had reached one of the many vacant rooms of the entrance. Probably a checkpoint of sorts in the future, even if it could perform as a meeting point, for now, considering the table and the many chairs around. "Anyone wants tea? Coffee? Any other kind of refreshment?"
Better to get comfortable before diving into the heart of the matter.

Talia didn’t say too much, instead focusing on listen to Amy’s explanations, nodding to show she was paying attention in the process. “I think that’s the thing, is that people’s perception of dark is that it’s something bad, and we just need to show people that dark doesn’t always mean evil or malicious! Everyone should get a fair chance to prove themselves ya know? And for those who don’t want to know or care or can’t see what you guys are doing, well they can go scratch!” Despite that this was all still new, it somewhat angered the woman that people felt the need to bother this place even when it had done nothing but exist, and she could see Deeplane was a good cause. “I know I just joined but the thing about me and the twins is that we’re a very loyal trio, and we’ll do our damn best to protect this place if that’s what being part of the council means, and whatever else you have in store.” On their side was an understatement - Simba and Tohru were the most loyal friends she knew and the ones she trusted the most. “Always, and I promise he’s much more well behaved than Drogon.” Talia admired the Khalessi for a lot of things but her methods as far as raising dragons were excluded from that list - at least she could have tried positive reinforcement with meat! Or not angering them further by locking them up. Then again was there anything ‘positive’ about that series? For someone who liked to bite things Simba was too far too lazy and docile to ever hunt for his own food, though Talia wondered if that would change should he be forced to live by himself. “Lemon tea, if you have it. If not anything will suffice.” Tohru sounded like a little aristocratic coney requesting a hot beverage and frankly it was adorable. “But you can’t get anymore polite than this bunny! In fact she grills us about ours. If you ever need someone to pretend to be a prin-” The woman was cut off by a loud SHHHHH from the rabbit. “Not the time for pulling out closet skeletons, Talia.” It sounded dramatic but it was the hare’s fancy way of reminding the woman not to embarrass her, as shown by the red blush spots on her face. Right. Little did she know she could save that story for when the twins were later sleeping! “I’m good, I think! Want some juice Simba?” Sugar was something that could make him bounce off the walls but everyone deserved a treat occasionally right? “Uhm, apple juice if you have it, please!” Amelie

Yup. Talia was spot-on regarding how the general public perceived the Dark Area. Which, granted, made total sense; who the hell decided to give this place such a name? Had it been called 'The Land of Rainbows and Sunshine', it probably would have a better reputation, despite the name being an utter lie.
"I agree, wholeheartedly. It's on us to ensure that the constant stream of hate recedes, and to stop it altogether eventually. Not an easy task, but what you can do? Good deeds seldom are easy, anyway; like any region of the Digital World, this own has its own share of problems, but it doesn't help that those are exacerbated by pretty much everyone living in the main continent, even if most of those are baseless claims by now."
A small smile graced her face; Talia was definitely a kindred spirit in regards to their mindsets. The two of them wanted to do good, and the woman's convictions seemed to be as strong as her own; Amy could definitely appreciate that. "I'm glad to have you aboard. You're a very capable trio, and I'm sure that together, this goal is a little closer to become a reality; I'm already looking forward to working together with you."
Thankfully, the solemn atmosphere wouldn't persist for long. Comparing Simba to Drogon was enough to elicit a chuckle. "I'm glad Simba doesn't get to play Drogon, at least. I prefer him being just Simba, anyway; he's way cuter than any of Dany's dragons."
With that out of the way, Amelie went and brought Tohru's tea and Simba's juice. Once that was done, and with her own tea in front of her, the brunette began to dive into the heart of the matter. "I'll be honest. This is shaping to be an ordeal of epic proportions, and I'm not afraid to admit that some contingencies I haven't predicted have beginning to appear. Anyway; I'll be needing both your talents and your digimons' in the near future."
After a small pause and a sip, she continued. "This endeavor has been plagued with others who differ with the way we think. I'd go ahead and say that most are brainless idiots, but... I worry the most about the ones who aren't. Deeplane is becoming a juggernaut, and I'm confident in saying that its weak spot is regarding the safety of its information net, and that's an area I'm quite inept at, so... I hope you don't feel too bad at me entrusting it to you? I know you're very capable of handling that, but I'll understand if you have your reservations."
Another pause in case Talia wanted to ask anything in particular regarding this, and yet another sip. "Similarly, your skills provide us with an angle of attack that we didn't have available before, and that's gonna come in handy when dealing with specific threats. In fact, I might have a job for you regarding that at the moment, if you're interested in beginning to work asap."
A cryptic proposal, but in all honesty, it was one not worth pursuing right now if the woman just wanted to relax for today. Something more than understandable! Those, and many other topics would be discussed on that evening. Truth to be told, Amelie considered Talia to be quite the pleasant individual, even if she ultimately pondered if the young woman would feel at ease in this place. Guess time would tell whether that was the case or not.
For now, she was glad that another person decided to take this project as her own. That was all there was to it. [Exit]
