So... Mei lived with a family of real-world cats...? Patrasche tilted their head - wondering what that must've been like - and if that was the reason why Mei was such an odd little Meicoomon... The mental image of small little kittens following after their bigger sibling did bring a small smile to the Labramon's face though, as she they nodded in acknowledgement - it sounded like they were a handful to keep in line - perhaps herding kittens was an opposite problem from herding cats! "What're your, uhm, siblings like...?" They'd ask, as the trio stepped onto the Trailmon.
Interestingly enough, though - as Patrasche stepped out of the moonlight... Their fur began to change; the inky dark hues of their fur and markings changing back into the typical pink of a normal Labramon. Patrasche paid no attention to this, though - as this was completely normal for them. Instead, when Inari offered to let Patrasche borrow her holosuit, the little Labramon would pause for a second to consider it. "... I, uhm... Wouldn't want to trouble you, but - uh... - if you're sure about it, then, alright..." Patrasche couldn't help but wonder what it must be like, to wear a holosuit - it didn't seem as though Mei knew, and they didn't really want to press Inari too much...
As the Trailmon began to move though, and at Mei's suggestion, Patrasche would blink - watching the Meicoomon curl up on the seats - before slowly nodding. "... Yeah, that... sounds like a good idea.." Patrasche wasn't sure how long they had been walking around for, by now - including before they had met Mei and Inari - so... They'd find a spot to bunker down for now, curling up on one of the adjacent seats, staring out the window at the passing sights...

Inari nodded. "I have lived among humans for decades, I know my way around. You are still a neophyte, you need the added protection from prying eyes. I would not want to have your first trip to Shibuya to end in meeting the -bad- kind of human first." She looked out of the window as Terminus shrunk into the distance, and the vast, inky plains stretched before them. The lit inside reflected their faces back at them. After a bit, she turned to Mei. "I would be interested in hearing about your siblings, Mei. i am sure they cause less trouble than mine."

"What's Mei's siblings like? Let's see... Mei think there are about a bunch of them, they're rambunctious bunch... a bit of scaredy cat and when they grew up, they become really independent and it's their turn to help Mei raising the younger ones. Ah, they visited Mei a lot too though, and helped nurturing the younger ones too... By the way, it's not normal for normal cats to be like this, but Mei guess it helped that Mei understood cat language and can communicate to them... so Mei thinks all of Mei's siblings are smarter than most normal street cats.
Mei always made sure that each and every one of them survives, but... at times nature are cruel... real cats doesn't turn into Digitama when they died... they... returned to the soil. It's saddening to see the little ones not surviving, but... even then, Mei tried her best to educate the ones that survives.
When they survived, they learn a lot from Mei. Mei taught them how to look for foods, which one are safe and which one not safe. Mei also taught them how to socialize with other cats, and Mei taught them what's good and what's bad, so they're behaved. Ah, when there are one of us that got adopted, we rejoiced...
But even then, Mei kind of outlived her eldest younger siblings... street cats only can live up to seven years more or less... The same goes with Mei's papa and mama. They're... no longer here."
Mei's ears plopped sadly. "...Mei's younger siblings who already grew up told Mei to just leave and leave it to them to take care of the younger ones. They said if Mei doesn't get adopted by Mei, they'll hate Mei. They don't want Mei stay and waste Mei's chance, so Mei moved from Tottori following Mei to Shibuya. Mei hoped that Mei's siblings got adopted or something... They're all cute cats. They're well behaved... very well behaved... That's why Mei would love to see they live a long life."

Though Patrasche's eyes were on the passing scenery beyond the window, they would still be listening to Mei's story - an ear pricked in her direction - and thinking over what Inari said. Meeting the bad kind of humans first...? Patrasche wasn't sure if they really wanted to find out what Inari meant by that, but wouldn't think too hard on it - instead listening to Mei talk about her siblings. If they were honest, they didn't really know how it felt to have siblings, per se. Certainly, they had lived at an orphanage for much of their life, but they didn't really feel any particular bond with the other kids - in fact, they never really did get along. And before that? It was just them, Mama, and Papa.
A familial bond between siblings, like Mei and her family had - loving eachother just as they loved their own Mama and Papa, and their Mama and Papa loved them... What would like that be like?
Patrasche was still watching out the window, watching as the buildings of Terminus would change to the moonlit plains beyond - only to find themselves staring at the reflection, at themselves, and at Mei. Hearing her saddened tone, and seeing her ears droop as they did, Patrasche couldn't help but glance back towards Mei - realizing that... She must've dealt with a whole lot of loss. And not being able to meet them again as Digitama, well...
... Patrasche would frown softly, empathetically, and would reach a paw up to place it on Mei's shoulder, in a quiet gesture of sympathy, and comfort. They both knew how it felt to lose someone close, it seemed...

Inari, too, listened carefully to Mei's story. A Digimon, growing up among street cats? That was quite unusual. Nothing surprising considering this was Shibuya, but unusual nonetheless. And then, it seems, things took a turn for the worse. It would seem cats and Digimon did not gel as well as one might think. When Mei had finished her story, Inari just wordlessly picked her up and hugged her. Her hug radiated the warmth and safety of a mother's hug. She said nothing. Nothing needed to be said. She held Mei for a while as the train entered the tunnel connecting the worlds. She eventually sat her back down, and looked out of the window, waiting for the train to arrive.

Oh? Does that bothered them? "Mei is alright," Mei said with a small smile. "Mei is indeed sad remembering all of that, but even then... Mei accepted that this is too a natural point of life. Separation is always there, be it from death or natural cause... someone would only truly die if you forgot about them. But if you keep remembering them, honoring them, they'll live on."
She let out a small mewl when lifted by Inari. To her surprise, she got hugged. The Meicoomon purred, but confused at the action. Like cat, she's not too used to be hugged and lifted like this. Usually it's just some cuddlepile, purring while content, warming up... But even then, she appreciated the gesture and wrapped her feelers around Inari to assure her that it's OK.
"Prrrp!"
And it's apparently soon that the train would arrive. The Meicoomon quickly wrapped her feelers around her neck. It was in such way that one might thought that her feelers are collar. But what about the tail feeler? Simple. She bristled it, poofing it in such way that it looked like a big fluffball. Like this, one one would really notice that she's a Digimon, maybe she'll be treated like a pudgy cat instead. Well.. as long as they doesn't stare on her cross shaped eyes that is.

Mei's words seemed to resonate with something in Patrasche - the Labramon would blink, before glancing away; trying to blink back their tears as they thought to their Mama and Papa... They'd live on, as long as they kept remembering them...? On one hand, it was a nice and hopeful thought, but...
... Patrasche just wanted to see their Mama and Papa again, even if it was one more time. They didn't just want them to live on in their memories - something that they had already tried to do for some time now. Was that... Too much to ask? To have that family again for even a little bit...?
... The Labramon would shake their head, trying to not dwell on those thoughts; it'd be embarrassing if the other two caught them crying and worrying over it all again. Instead though, Patrasche would hear Mei's little 'Prrrp!', and would glance in her way to see that Inari had lifted Mei up, and the two were embracing eachother! Patrasche would watch for a second, curling up in place to watch them - before glancing out the window, seeing as they were entering a tunnel it seemed. "... Are we almost there? It looks like the scenery has changed..." They would question Inari and Mei, gesturing to the tunnel outside.

Inari was glad that Mei appreciated the gesture. Sometimes, she just did things without asking people, and sometimes, that got her into trouble. Regardless, as soon as the train entered the tunnel, Patrasche was asking if they'd arrive soon. Inari answered with a nod. "This is the tunnel that connects the Digital to the Human world. Soon, we will have arrived, be ready." The jump between worlds was so subtle, it was hard to notice. Nothing but a brief shock, as if the train had run over a bump in the road, and suddenly the world outside lit up. A tunnel, with graffiti on the walls, and then, a dimly lit station. The train slowed down, and then stopped. The doors opened. They had arrived.

"Mei think we have arrived, yes," Mei commented. Either way, the moment the door is open, she hopped out. "Thank you, Trailmon-san!" she chirped. For the meantime... her ears pricked up. Something is afoot. "...Hmmm, Patra-chan, Inari-chan, mind waiting a bit? Mei will try to call Mei down here. Mei feel Mei might could tell what's happening outside, is that fine?"
Should she got the OK, she would take out something that looked like communicator. "...Mei, are you there?"
"Mei-chan? Ah, if it's connected that means you're in human world huh... Where are you at the moment?"
"Mei is still in underground Shibuya Station. Mei is coming out soon with two friends!"
"Digimons, I'm guessing?"
"Mei!"
"The situation outside is a bit chaotic. There are tons of Digimons out here, so I'm not sure how well that going to be... But I'll definitely be there. Please wait for me, alright, Mei-chan?"
"Dandan~"
Mei then looked at the friends. "Looks like we won't be alone up there, so we can drop our disguise... Mei is not sure what happened, but Mei hopes that it'll be a breeze... hopefully.

Patrasche would blink a bit at the brief shock of going between worlds; indeed, they were unable to discern it from a bump - though trains didn't usually bump like that, did they? Regardless, they could still spot the graffiti on the walls of the tunnel, as well as the station as the train would roll in - slowly coming to a stop. As the doors finally opened, Patrasche would jump down from their seat - looking to follow Inari and Mei out, but... Mei would ask for the both of them to wait. Initially, the Labramon was puzzled, but... They would nod to the Meicoomon either way, sitting down patiently where they were.
Then, Mei would pull out some sort of device, to begin talking to someone... Was it, uh, the other Mei? Patrasche wasn't sure what to make of there being two Meis - it was certainly confusing, to say the least. But at least it sounded like this meant that someone else will be waiting for them... and they won't need their disguises, either? The Labramon would tilt their head a little - visibly confused - but... Would otherwise nod. "Alright... Should we, uh... Wait here? Or join the, uhm... The other Mei up above?" They'd ask softly, glancing between Inari and Mei as they tried to figure out what exactly the plan was.

Inari watched the cat Digimon contact her tamer of equal name. Hm? Tons of Digimon up there? In the -human- world? That was trouble. Big trouble. Trouble she could not possibly ignore. "Perhaps it is best you two stay down here, where it is safe...but I must go up there. I have sworn to protect those of us who live in the Human World, and if so many of them have turned up, something is wrong, and I must step in." With that, she stepped towards the elevator. She'd hoped the other two would stay down here. She'd hate for them to get hurt.

Indeed there are a lot of Digimons up there... Mei did said 'stay there', but... in case of emergency, isn't it better to go up?
"...We probably should head for the lift, at least it's easier to reach..." Mei muttered. As much as she understood Inari's concern, she cannot exactly leave her partner heading there... From the way she said 'chaotic', it doesn't looks like that a fight has broke out yet. It's at that time that suddenly the lift light with a 'ding' and someone came out of it.
"Mei-chan!"
"Mei!"
The Meicoomon practically ran on all four toward her partner. From the hard breathing, it's seem that she came here in haste. "We have to go now. The police isn't here yet... are these two your friends?"
"Mei! That's Patra-chan and that's Inari-chan. They're friends."
"Nice to meet you, my name is Tsukigami Mei... Yes I know that's confusing, but I can't exactly change her name either! Thank you for coming with Mei-chan's night... excursion I think?"
"Mei, can Patra-chan stay with us? They want to stay with humans..."
That request was a bit sudden so it's understandable that the human looked surprised. She looked back at Patrasche. "...We should talk when we're above alright? I think for better or worse, with a lot of Digimon being here, no one would bat that much of an eye when you're here..."

With the 'ding' of the lift, Patrasche's ears would prick up a bit in the lift's direction - a sort of instinctive curiosity, though a somewhat disconcerted feeling also came over them as their wariness began to kick in once more. Between the light of the lift turning on, and the ding, it was easy to presume that someone was here; and Patrasche wasn't sure who that someone might be. It could've been Human-Mei, sure - and logically, that was the most likely conclusion! But it could just as easily have been someone else, too - a digimon, or even another human, and Homeostasis only knew if they'd mean well - leading the Labramon to quickly become unsure and nervous.
Tail drooping the slightest bit, and ears tilting back, Patrasche would initially shuffle over to Inari's side for safety - wanting to wait and see before they just presumed whoever in the lift was a friend. The answer wouldn't take long to come, though - the doors to the lift opening shortly after Patrasche found their place at Inari's side, as Mei - Human Mei, Patrasche would note to themself to try and avoid any confusion - stepped out of it. Meicoo-Mei seemed rather happy to see Human-Mei, as the two briefly conversed - before Meicoo-Mei would introduce both Inari and themself. "It's, uhm... Nice to meet you, too." Patrasche shyly murmured - stepping up, and peering up at Human-Mei, with a small attempt at a smile.
This... Admittedly, was the first time Patrasche met a human proper. It was a bit fascinating, noting how things like the scents in the air differed between humans and digimon, and the little Labramon couldn't help but wonder what it'd be like, to live with the two Meis - given that Meicoo-Mei would ask about letting Patrasche stay with the two of them. Patrasche would grow sheepish - especially when Human-Mei appeared surprised, and was quick to add in a murmur "It's... Okay if it's too much to ask, I'm sure I could figure something out... I just... Feel like I'd be happier among humans, than among digimon..."

As Inari had stepped towards the elevator, it opened, and a human emerged. It was Mei, Mei's partner, as it turned out. When the Meicoomon introduced her, she bowed. "I am pleased to meet you, Miss Tsukigami. May I request that you, Mei and Patrasche remain here? it is for your own safety. If there is a large gathering of Digimon up there, then it is my duty to see it and deal with it. I take care of Digimon in the Human World, after all." Seems she was serious, she intended to go up there all by herself. Was that even a wise decision...?

"Oh, it's nice to meet you, yes. And... I'm sorry, but that's a bit ill advised, I feel..." Mei told Inari. "...The one outside are mostly child stages, so we should be... fine? I hope so. But either way, if there are fights outside, first thing first what would happened is probably people will... evacuate inside the building, and when that happened... it's going to be crowded. If Digimon all poured here, the Trailmon will not operate, so it's best to actually get out there, go home, and probably avoid all sort of complicated stuff..."
"...Mei think Mei agrees," Mei the Meicoomon added. "In chaos, it's hard to find semblance of order. It's best if we just leave and move toward Mei's apartment. It's somewhere close... as long as we pretends to be pets, we can get some Taxi to bring us back home."
"...Well that's the gist of it... Plus not to mention there are lot of dangerous equipment here in case the collateral damage damages the infrastructure... I'd... rather not face that sort of thing thank you."
