The skies were a serene blue, the digital sun lighting up the sky above the village of beginnings. One could enter from almost any angle, and look left and right to see happy young Digimon playing in the shine of the sun, Swanmon, Elecmon and other caretaker Digimon carefully nourishing any digitama to ensure that the new Digimon would come out healthy and strong. The shining sun made the entire area shine with a childlike friendliness which was empowered by the childlike laughter and bubbly sounds of baby Digimon left and right. However, past the entire village which was so joyful and bright you could swear real life had just gotten a bloom effect, there was one blemish. Among the soft natural greens and pastel blues, there was a single place which sat completely unbothered and alone. Except for one Digimon at the core of that spot. There was no Digimon who came closer to him though. The empty ground around him was explained by an unpleasant sound which could only be explained one way: Glitchiness. No young Digimon were playing here, no digitama were kept in this area any more and the caretakers prevented curious Digimon from getting closer. It looked so forlorn, with the patches of grass slowly shaking in the wind, bits of dirt missing the bouncing balls of energy which jumped on them. Just silence and the occasional scratchy sound of some kind of barrier between worlds tearing. One caretaker, an Airdramon, looked onto the strange glitchy rifts that opened in the vicinity of the newly born Bakemon. It had been three days since he had hatched, and he had passively remained like this, the stability of the digital world around him slowly decreasing. The Village of Beginnings had sent out a help request for the mysterious job that had arisen from the situation. No one had arrived yet, but Airdramon had received word that today he’d be seeing some folk who offered to help with the mission. The pay the village of beginnings could offer wasn’t too great, but the caretakers were glad that some eager individuals had decided to help out despite that. It was horrifying that something so strange like this would start within the village of beginnings. And the worst part was that no one understood it, it wasn’t every day that a Digimon was born slowly tearing apart the digital world around them! Airdramon hoped that the people would arrive soon. Even though he couldn’t help others much due to his lack of speech, He’d rather fly circles around the Village of Beginnings to keep an eye out for things happening then just… stare at this one Empty patch of land where the world was being torn apart while a terrified Digimon sat whispering to himself in the middle.

"Over there with the red wings."
"The one with the skull-face?"
"Yes. Will you be okay?"
Hiroyo slowed her pace at the question and stared hard at the digimon they were suppose to meet. She stared at the bone-like protrusions from the head, the tattered wings, the snake-like body. There was no twitch in her mind, no quiver of fear down her spine. She turned to the hovering Fanbeemon by her left shoulder and met his gaze.
"Yeah, and even if I wasn't we'd need to go anyways." She stepped forward smoothly, the jacket tied around her waist brushing across her jeans.
The Kunemon crawling along the ground before them huffed and clicked his beak impatiently. "Are you two going to put this off even more?"
The red head rolled her eyes, her lips stretched into a grin as she followed the worm. "So impatient! Will a couple minutes really make that much of a difference?"
"It might. I don't like this at all." Roger grumbled, stopping by the dragon with his beak pointed unerringly in the direction of the Bakemon. His antenna twitched and there was tension in the length of his body, like a spring preparing to leap. Hiroyo bowed to the dragon, her eyes constantly sliding away from the person they were meeting to follow Roger's line of attention.
"Hello! We heard you were facing a rather difficult issue, we're here to help! Is that the, ah, troubled digimon?" She asked, managing to keep her eyes on Airdramon for the entirety of her speech. Immediately after she stretched up on tiptoe to look over at the Bakemon, making no secret of how she leaned to get a glimpse of the weird patches in the air around it. She reached up to rub at her eyes before looking again. "Morgan should we-"
"Don't approach. Wait" The Fanbeemon answered harshly. He watched not the Bakemon itself but the rifts around it as he hovered in the air near Hiroyo's head. There was a constant low buzz from his wings that didn't quite cover the mutterings of the Bakemon, merely made the particulars indistinct.
"Right, there might be others." The woman looked at the Bakemon with a troubled expression. What could cause something like this?

Honestly what was he supposed to expect from a mission parameter like this? Something that would well... Speak so much to so many people and have so little actually understood. Not many knew what glitches in t eh digital world meant or what they could lean into but Kan understood the sheer level of danger that this could present if left unattended. He recognized a few names, remembered a few stories circulating the bars he kept at.
A dark lord and his Tamer
Some 'kid' and his Veemon
A Knight and Deva with their tamer
And of course the three knuckleheads that he had met first hand... Hiroyo and her bugs. The stories circulating around the 'dark lord' were probably just rumours. He didn't know exactly what sounded crazier, the fact they claimed that title or all the fruit following. The 'kid' apperantly had done a lot or at least, people thought they did. Drunken tales were hard to really step behind or keep straight. The knight and deva? Well. Who wouldn't pay attention to a lopmon and hackmon paired up with a human? Maybe it was just cover, maybe it was just a falsehood but it did speak really well for those that came here.
Then of course his dumb-ass thought of signing up, thought of seeing what sort of equipment he could bring along. If the digital locale was glitchy he could put down some things that could stabilize it. But it'd require a lot of programming mumbo-jumbo that he wasn't sure if he could keep up with. This didn't stop him from coming to the village anyways, backpack stuffed with materials and a toolbox hoisted over his shoulder.
His free hand tapping through some settings on his device, checking over information and double checking the problems as they came. His eyes swept the village of beginnings, eyes hardening slightly as he noted the 'area' along with those just outside of it proper.
"At least this time I don't have to worry about buses. What's the 411?"
A joke about their first meeting, really? That's what he had to open with? Honestly it was probably better he didn't mention the drinks or the him on a couch with her passed out on the guest bed. Then again the last time they met he hadn't quite been like this, shorter. Stockier, less muscles. Now he was a mountain of a man thanks to snyder, thanks to that pushing and pulling that his damnable spirit gave him.
"Cause I read over the mission details but everything always has more to it than what they put out."

"...Are you sure we're not dealing with some eldritch abomination?" the human of the duo asked an XVmon who looked very relaxed about all of this. Well, he just heard that something has going on in the Village of Beginning but... the details isn't really described? What he does know is that someone is asking help because... there's a Bakemon born in Village of Beginning? Seriously, why Bakemon? Why would a baby stage being a Bakemon? That's just... that just doesn't make sense at all!
"But that's how it is. It doesn't make sense and that's what important. It's because it doesn't make sense that we're here," the XVmon commented.
Ryouta came to this mission obviously not by his own volition. His partner told him to do it, because after all, they need to build their artifact. That will surely get them to higher stage, right? Well that's the plan. Not sure if it's a surefire way or not though... Well, not important. He's not the first one here... there are several other people...
"Ah, it's the visitor of the cafe back then... she's a chosen?"
"DUH." Valt cannot hold back his sass. "That's Hiro-chan geez... oh wait you wouldn't remember... anyway... let's approach. For now..."
"Ignore that Bakemon? Yeah got it."
Valt was first to approach. "Hello sir, Valt and my partner Ryouta, reporting for the mission."
"...Hey Valt, you said to ignore that but..." the way the ghost muttered hit far too much to home to Ryouta. He already getting heebie jeebies. "...God, not in real world, not in Digital World... hearing all these sort of muttering is the worst... Alright, don't make eye contact... don't turn around when they call your name..."
...The eighteen years old is a lost cause now.

The past week had been nothing short of intense for the self proclaimed Dark Lord that was the digimon known as Dio. In the span of just seven days he had gone from being another partnered digimon to suddenly finding out, remembering and rejoining with his lost brother. Quite a busy week indeed, filled with changes he wasn't sure he would ever get used to completely, but changes he could not be happier with.
That said, while both Dio and his (oddly named) brother Gio were nothing short of ecstatic for being reunited with his (proverbial and literal) "other half", Carlos' way of...celebrating it? Reeked of typical human sentimentality and tomfoolery.
"This is really dumb..." The impmon sighed for the upteenth time that day, each hand holding on to Carlos' hand and his brother's claws respectively, the trio walking at a steady pace into the Village of Begginings. Had it not been by Carlos' obvious lack of...being a digimon, he would probably look like yet another of the Village's caretakers looking after two twins, which granted wasn't all far from the truth.
"It's not dumb, it's a bonding excersise." He replied to the impmon with the utmost certainty, clearly taking this situation far more seriously than he had any right to. "I don't know how sibling digimon relationships work you guys haven't seen eachother in forever, you need time to reconnect."
"...by hand holding?" Dio said, more confused than annoyed at this point. Was this display really necesary? He glanced back at his brother as if looking for support on this, but the BlackGuilmon met his confused gaze with a smile.
"I don't mind it! At least this way we won't get lost." He beamed, not really caring either way as long as they got to do something fun together.
"Speak for yourself dork, I'm not the one that almost fell off a cliff chasing a butterfly." Dio teased back rolling his eyes, Gio's grin faltering and wing like ears drooping ever so slightly at this.
"It was just that one time..."
Carlos cut short their little moment with gentle tug. After all this was not a simple "family" outing, they had an actual reason to be here. What better way to improve a brotherly bond than taking them into a mission together? The meeting place was easy enough for him to spot: he just had to go to where a small group of humans and digimon were gathering, just a couple of ways behind the actual Village. The trio approached, taking a mental note of the people that had arrived already: a rather tall and muscular man, a teen with his XVmon, and a girl accompanied by a pair of insectoid digimons. Quite the colorful group already.
"Hey there." He'd let go of Dio's hand to wave at the group, Gio silently and happily mimicking his waving as well with his free claw. "I'm guessing you guys are here for the "situation" too?"
As for what the situation actually was however? Neither of them were too sure, just something involving a digimon and some disturbances regarding them. Most likely that muttering Bakemon in the distance surrounded by many data rifts.

Post by Talia and Tohru & Simba on May 6, 2019 6:54:00 GMT
Talia by no means intentionally ever considered herself a fancy or extra person but when one of your partners could turn into a large flying ophidian beast why not utilize it to practical use?
Okay so maybe she was being a teeny tiny bit showoffy, like someone driving a high end car to let others know that they were loaded - not that she was, but the high level majestic dragon dorugreymon’s form alone was a display of achievement, a sign of how much they had worked to get to such a place of power. Frankly Talia could care less about the power thing itself. Rather that, the most important thing was that she wished for others to view the fluffy boy’s stature to be a symbolic recognition of a journey. Not even just an odyssey of evolution but one of a developed bondship trust between human and digimon.
“Any landmarks I should be keeping an eye out for?” Now if only they could show off that connection slightly more by being a far less frumpy rider and dragon pair - but not everything could be perfect right? Flying as smooth as a concorde plane was still an uncrossed goal at this point. “From what I read, we should be looking for an Airdramon, Simba - they should most likely be waiting with a few others like the missions we’ve done in the past.”
With the physical condition she herself was facing it would only be natural that the story of the glitching ghost was one the woman found that she oddly resonated with, signing the three of them up right away to help out which was almost ironic considering she hadn’t been able to even help herself. “You think it’s the same as yours Talia?”
Tohru the toothy lopmon was safely tucked in her tamer’s lap being coddled by warm arms keeping her steady on the bumpy turbulent prone dragon who suddenly made a sharp turn that was enough to give the rabbit that ‘going too far backwards in a chair’ heart palpitation sort of feeling. “H-hey! Watch your flight pattern dodohead!” And this was why Talia preferred to be safe than sorry when it came to the wellbeing of both digimon. “Sorry! I lost my balance, probably should have slowed down a little first before turning…” Was it time to land yet?
“We’ll just have to see I suppose. I always kinda wondered if it was a freak thing so seeing a digimon with something related would be...interesting to say the least.” Relatable even? “I told you, you’re not a freak Talia,” the rabbit said patting an arm reassuring to which the human chuckled. “Yes I’m aware of that - I mean more in the context of freak accident.” Now there was a new term for her. “Freak accident?” Humans had such odd informal slang sometimes. “Yep! Think of it as like...you know how you guys watch those cartoons with characters that get anvils and pianos dropped on their heads? It’s an illness or injury that’s super deviated and has a low chance of happening - like walking by somewhere and having a piano or brick fall on you.”
And in this case, the good possibility of Simba losing his balance and falling in a corkscrew backflip the-passengers-get-tossed-off shape. Knowing his sister was resisting the urge to make a jab, the dragon couldn’t help feeling slightly mischievous - but he was learning sisters were fun to tease sometimes. “T-tohru I think I’m gonna…” Stalling, the dragon started to freefall straight down causing both rabbit and tamer to shriek and hold on tightly, Simba suddenly stopping about 15 feet above the ground. “We’re here!” Grumpy realizing what happened, Talia reached over to give her partners furry white mane a yank but was stopped by Tohru who used the ends of her strong ears as grabbers instead. “OWWW! Aww it was only a joke. H-hey not so hard - ouchiesss!” Time and time again did this boy’s childish ways test her patience. “That wasn’t funny, you fire breathing troll!”
It was very quick for Talia to offhand spot her precious friend with Carlos and Dio as Dorugreymon touched down on land to which Tohru nearly immediately hopped off among first contact being followed by Talia who climbed down, waving to everyone as she did so. “Someone call for assistance?” Simba reverted back to his hackmon child form and was immediately scooped by Talia. “Dorugreymon is a good boy, but he’s not nearly as huggable as you.” They nuzzled cheeks causing mutual laughs as Tohru jumped to her regular spot on Talia’s head and joined in until Talia remembered. “Gio!!” She took off running so fast both twins nearly went flying from the sudden velocity. “T-talia, you shouldn’t be…” Tohru’s protests about her frail state were cut off by the woman going to give the black lizard a very big hug. “I missed you…”

Hiroyo being the first to arrive would be the one the mission details would be explained too most clearly. The Airdramon blinked as she approached him and nodded to confirm she was at the right spot! He started using his eyes and head to point to the Bakemon, and then started explaining the situation as eloquently and as carefully as his body would allow him to. That is to say, Hiroyo soon had something far more impressive to look at than the muttering Bakemon, as the Airdramon tried to explain the situation via interpretive Airdramon wiggling and moving. Clearly, this Airdramon was entirely incapable of speech, and lacked the arms to compensate. Airdramon calmed down for a moment as Kan arrived, and Valt had seemed to arrive shortly after, so he’d have to make sure to explain extra carefully so they’d all understand. He continue his explanation of frantic movements and wing flaps and airdramon interpretive dance, which, if more than anything, was bloody impressive he somehow never fell down to the ground while doing it. It didn’t really matter what they’d ask, or how they’d try to tell him it wasn’t clear at first, he’d just continue his futile attempt to convey the complicated story via his movements. Carlos and his twin digimon arrived in the middle of some of the unique storytelling, although he calmed down a bit as he noticed the last tamer make a much more grand entrance, being on guard for a second but calming down shortly afterwards. Now that everyone was here, he could finally tell the full story and all it’s details. Each of the individuals which had come to aid with the mission was treated to one final dance of the snake, wild flailing tiring the Airdramon before he looked at them and the, likely mostly confused faces. Determining this wasn’t working out, he turned around and flew off, no doubt to get someone who was more capable in communication! The Airdramon’s wings made beats with strength, creating a soft gust even over the ground a small ways away as the Dragon flew with speed and ease that made him hard to follow. This gave the group a moment to mentally process what had just happened, and a moment to talk amongst one another and observe the surrounding situation. Indeed, many of them had already focused their attention on the Bakemon in the middle of the empty field. HIs soft muttering was the most noteworthy sound as of the moment, as even the sound of the digital reality tearing apart was something you’d get used too, especially for those who are used to seeing glitches or errors happen in the digital world. The Empty field had the Bakemon almost smackdab in the middle, surrounding him were rifts of digital errors, the closer you got to him, the more rifts were present. Sometimes, new ones opened and old ones slowly closed. Each right was like a rip in reality itself. The core of a rip was always coloured, but each rip had a different colour in their core, some even pulsing various colours in what seemed to be random patterns. Some even looked like you could actually see what was on the other side, often some sort of weather phenomenon, like a strangely colourful thunderstorm. Around the rips, data was breaking apart into its most basic element, 0s and 1s. Regardless of how stable a rift looked though, it’s pulsating nature and growing or shrinking gave this sense of instability, and the world tearing itself apart. HIROYO (others may read this but only Hiroyo experiences this.) Hiroyo was the one who had gotten the closest to the Bakemon and it’s strange rifts thus far. As one nearby rift closed, she felt a tingling, ominous feeling, but one that was very easy to sense where it was coming from. The feeling on her elbow was almost fuzzy, as if she was a drawing on a piece of paper, and someone was mushing out the lines that made her elbow, making it fuzzy and unstable ,making it dissolve into the rest of reality around them. However, this was only a starting feeling, she was entirely unharmed and her body urged her to dodge away from the source of the feeling, a new rift that was about to form near her, far before the rift actually would appear and damage her.

Post by Hiroyo Oda on May 9, 2019 3:03:53 GMT
Hiroyo had tried to pay attention to the Bakemon but with a giant colorful dragon dancing in the air before her, it was obvious where her attention would go right? She watched the spectacle with an expression of surprised delight. She hadn't expected the mission to start with a show!
"Head's up, foolish sap number two is approaching." Roger called, pulling his attention away from the very quickly boring Bakemon to watch a red headed giant approach. The Kunemon surveyed him with an air of boredom that contrasted with Morgan's barely hidden suspicion and Hrioyo's polite but confused interest in the man's words.
"Uhm, yes! No busses here, ahaha." Hiroyo replied with a polite laugh while smiling. 'Buses? What the heck is he talking about?' Morgan squinted for a moment then relaxed as realization hit.
"That is a rather extreme change. You clearly have not been taking it easy lately." He remaked as he looked Kan up and down. He knew humans didn't normally change appearance so drastically so clearly something had happened. Roger squinted upwards for a moment then snorted when he caught on as well. He opened his beak to answer but another group that Hiroyo recognized arrived.
"Oh! Uh, h-hey!" Hiroyo stuttered out with an awkward wave then immediately dropped her arm to scratch at an itch by her elbow. She couldn't help but think that one party not recognizing the other was kind of awkward, but that wouldn't stop her from attempting to greet them.
"Uhm, is he going to be okay?" She asked Valt in a stage whisper as the Airdramon host went into another display of aerial acrobatics. Having seen the display before she was able to appreciate the changes. She itched at her elbow as she considered the dance. Was this just a continuation of the previous display? Was she missing information because her attention kept slipping?
Before she could panic another human walked up, this one holding the hands of a purple imp and a black dinosaur. It made Hiroyo think immediately of a big brother walking his younger siblings to school! She put her hands on her cheeks but just before the follow up 'awww' could be uttered there was a burst of wind from above and cry of pain. Hiroyo flinched then looked up as the unfamiliar dragon and its passengers landed and joined the group.
"Now that is an entrance!" Roger crowed. He had raised up two-thirds of his body so he could get a better look at the new comers. His expression soured at the hug. "Oh ew, now they're getting all lovey-dovey."
"Don't be rude!" Hiroyo hissed as she nudged him with a foot.
"Pfft, who's rude? Hey, next time we're going to a gathering like this I can turn into Flymon and-"
"No." Morgan and Hiroyo said at exactly the same time. They glanced at each other in surprised then nodded, united in the oppression of future woes.
"You didn't let me finish! Pfft, Airdramon's doing his dance again by the way. Figured out what it means yet?" Roger grouched, lowering himself back to his normal pose on the ground with an annoyed flip of his antenna.
Morgan stared at the dance from start to finish as he had been everytime it started. There were definately patterns to the movements, but with a shake of his head he had to admit it was beyond him.
"...I don't know." Hiroyo finally said after staring in the direction Airdramon had gone for a while. She sighed and scratched at her arm, pausing to actually look and see what was making it itch so damn much. She paused, staring at her elbow for a moment as the sudden feeling of 'NO BAD MOVE' assailled her and then she hurridly backed away from the Bakemon, her eyes flipping between it and her arm. The bugs watched her retreat with mirrored expressions of 'now what'. "We should probably not get too close by the way! I'm pretty sure those weird portal-things were trying to eat my arm or something."
"What do you mean your arm was getting eaten?"
"Trying! I'm okay now I think!"
Roger huffed and glared toward the Bakemon, his attention focused on it again. Little sparks of electricity began to crackle around him as he watched the field of weird digital glitches move. "Maybe we should just blast it and be done!"
"Ah, no! I don't know exactly what the dragon was saying but I know he didn't want that!" Hiroyo exclaimed, waving her hand about in a panic. She looked around wildly for a moment before pointed at Carlos and the twins. He was clearly volunteering for the Village, it was time for him to speak up! It was reasonable to think they wouldn't have sent someone who could or would actually speak with the Airdramon, right? "You with the babies! What does the Village want us to do?"

Kan paused and found himself giving Hiroyo quite a dubious look. It didn't take him long to realize that the woman didn't recognize him; in fact the surprise mixed with 'hurt' on his face was quite obvious. Giving a small little shake of the head he'd kneel down to place the tool box and stabilizers on the ground before standing back up. Giving a good old stretch of those bones.
"More than you'd think, less than you'd know. Honestly I'm just more glad to be alive. I take it the three of you have been busy? Last I remember you were still getting used to one another. It's been like what? A year or more at this point? Still. It's good to see you."
The kid with his veemon ended up arriving shortly after he did; kan pausing a bit and looking them over. What was he supposed to really say to the both of them? Other than giving a small wave to the both of them.
"Hello. Hello."
Kan perked up when he heard someone else approach, he'd turn his head to note that there was a man with two mons walking towards them. Quickly addressing the fact that well... They were here for this entire situation. Kan would cross his arms, eye the three of them up and down before simply giving a small nod.
"Yeah. Not missin much so far."
The last one to arrive was that trio he saw on the sign up page. He was a touch surprised to see them arrive in such a fashion in the village but honestly that just meant they were ready and raring to go. Which of course was something that was woefully missed in a lot of mission types.
Following suit the Airdramon did some interpretive dance; Kan paused for a moment and dug into his pockets. Fishing out for some writing materials only to find he didn't have any on hand. He'd watch the airdramon fly off with a small purse to his lips before kneeling back down to break out those stabilizers.
"Didn't figure he wouldn't talk or be unable to. Well. Give him like what. A tenner and he'll be back?"
Kan would pause and eye Hiroyo as she spoke, saying something about her arm feeling like it was going to be eaten by the portals. So they were trying to drag people in? Was that the deal? Had anyone gone into it? Kan's expression shifted a bit when Hiroyo pointed at the man with the twins.
"Pretty sure he's as clueless as we are Hiroyo. Just relax a bit. I'm going to get a few of these stabilizers ready to go before the airdramon gets back. Hopefully with someone that can do more than dancing. Maybe interpretive bongos?"

This is.... interesting? It honestly helped Ryouta with his anxiety about the Bakemon whispers, but it sure doesn't help the clarity of the situation at all. It's at this point that Ryouta wondered if the guy is mute. Yuuki did said that there are Digimons that are mute but this one seemed to be in much greater effect than the one Yuuki encountered... Eh well, this is amusing! At least it made him distracted from those whispering... Albeit honestly, Ryouta pitied the Digimon... can't he just write on the ground or something?
Meanwhile, in his place, Valt watched as new groups come. First twin partnered human came with entirely wholesome:tm: entrance. Just look at that Impmon and Black Guilmon holding hands! Valt let out a soft 'awwww' at the sight. He honestly a bit envious of that but eh, now he got an underling who treated him like a big brother, so it checks out. Admittedly he's not sure if he would not be so embarrassed if someone asked him to hold hands in siblinglike manners when he's.... considered old already.
The second twins... well it's an aerial disaster. That's a top kek flying there. And looks like these two are friends already. Wow, is it just him or he swore two of them are the only one without strong feeling of acquaintance here? Sure there's Hiroyo, but Ryouta forgotten about the girl because an incident somewhere he forgotten.
"What, who? Aniki? You should just leave him be, Hiro-chan. He's used to it. Sure heebie jeebies cannot be helped, but what can you do? We'll definitely solve the mystery sooner or later though."
"So what just happened?" Ryouta asked.
"He probably going to ask someone to translate for him. Sorry, but Airdrawiggle isn't exactly in my language base. Hikaru probably would have it though. Or was it Egyptiandance? Yo you two," Valt addressed the Digimons of the white lavender haired lady. "Having flight problem or something? I know another Dorugreymon who might be able to help you. I'd love to help you myself, but as far as wings go I never had any form with multiple wings."
"Are you sure you can ask that to Yuuki and Hikaru without them protesting?"
"Dude owed me when we're assigned to train Alan and Levi remember? So it's fine if I push them to the two of them, right? Plus, you know, Hikaru love meeting new people."
"Well that's true..."
Give him a tenner, huh... Now that the distraction no longer there, Ryouta muttered something noncontently himself. But that's when he saw Hiroyo quickly pulled herself back... what for? He tilted his head... but at this point he regretted that he heard what she have to say next.
"...Eat... your arm? Seriously?"
Why oh why does he take this mission again...?

Even without that rather bombastic entrance it didn't took long for Carlos to immediatelly recognize the last arrivals to the Village, the man smiling and waving as the familiar looking dragon landed on the ground and an equally familiar girl and rabbit came down from him. Of course his partners were quick to notice their arrival, but Gio in particular seemed more than ecstatic to see the pale girl approaching.
"Talia!" He exclaimed happily, letting out a purring like thrum sound as the girl embraced him, his tail waggling from side to side like that of a dog's. It was blatantly obvious for anyone present this single girl meant a lot to the dark scaled digimon. More perhaps than anyone other than his brother or tamer, at least.
"I missed you too." He replied, nuzzling his head against Talia, all while still holding on to Dio with his free claw. "You're here for the mission too?"
"What, no hug for me?" Carlos meanwhile said, giving Talia a teasing smile...which immediatelly was replaced by a look of mild confusion as he once again looked at the mission giver, or rather at it's strange, dance like movements. It was obvious enough they were trying to communicate and probably let them know what to do but...well let's just say there was a clear language barrier. It didn't take long for the Airdramon to take off, leaving the trio and the rest of the group some time to try and gather their thoughts some.
Carlos stared in silence at Hiroyo for a moment, not entirely sure what to make of what she said to him. Babies? Village? And something about a portal trying to eat her arm? It took him a good moment or two for everything to just sorta click in his brain, helped in part by Dio...laughing rather loudly next to him.
"HA! From science slut to Village caretaker! Your career is clearly only improving with time, Carlos."
The man did his best to ignore his partner's annoying remarks, focusing his attention instead on the group.
"Sorry but I think you're confusing me with someone else, I don't really...work here, we three just signed up for this mission like everyone else." He explained, giving another glance in the direction of the still muttering Bakemon.
"Yeah I'll be honest, I get the problem but I don't really know what they expect us to do about it." He shrugged, at a loss as to how to solve this situation. At the very least he took some solace knowing he wasn't the only one that wasn't entirely sure what the Airdramon was trying to get across with it's wild movements.

“Tut tut, wait your tuuurn Carlos.” Talia said in a teasing voice while giving the black dinosaur a head pat. “That we are.” At that, Tohru popped her head out from behind Talia’s shoulders. “By we she means us!” It was followed by Simba making himself known. “And me!” The rabbit facepalmed. “Thats what us means, turkey brain! But...moving on, it’s good to see you guys again - Dio, Gio, Carlos. Have you been well?” Both of them jumped down so they could interact with the other twins and leave Talia to catch up with her beloved. It was a cue she quickly and happily acted on in the form of greeting the man with a gentle but friendly kiss on the lips followed by a hug as she whispered something in his ear. “See! Patience pays off.”
And once the greetings had flown over the trio paid attention to what appeared to be the now river-dancing but still silent airdramon which immediately gave Talia an interesting idea. “So great dragon whisperer Simba, I know you can understand grunts and growls but can you understand interpretive dance?” He looked at the serpent with squinted eyes trying to pick on anything and everything he could but not a single vowel vibed in his ears. Ears and a tail that went a bit flat like a puppy ashamed of chewing the morning newspaper but in this case was pure embarrassment at his ability failing with a shake of his head at his tamer. “That’s okay pal! We’ll figure something else out.”
Having turned red hearing the remarks of the kunemon it only hit Talia then that most of the people also here probably saw them but was there to be embarrassed by? In a way it kind of worked out by forcing them to break the ice when the silver haired girl initiated a conversation by apologizing to the insect digimon for their public display of affection. “Sorry! Our little crews kind of go back a long time so I couldn’t help being excited seeing we were on the same mission. I’m Talia by the way, and these are my twins Tohru and Simba, nice to meet ya!” It was a greeting that extended to the tall muscular man with the woman.
“My hackmon here has a bit of a knack for being able to understand dragon but when he tried it didn’t work!” She wondered if perhaps him attempting it in champion form would help but after flying for a while as DoruGreymon he’d need to rest for a bit before he could do any kind of evolution again; that and he’d been able to communicate with the mega level megidramon way back when while in child form so if this case was in that context shouldn’t it have worked? “Is it...pointing to anything? Aaaa don’t go near those glitches please! Or that Bakemon!” At the girls inquiry her twins started to look around curiously for clues that could be connected to what the dragon was attempting to communicate.
“You could say Simba is a bit of a scrub when it comes to flying - he’s only recently managed to make it to ultimate and his champion form doesn’t have wings; to answer your question, yes. You do?!” Having a tutor for the young dragon would have been absolutely amazing especially with all that had recently happened - he deserved a bit of attention did he not?

As expected, the amount of communication that came from the wiggling of the Airdramon was absolutely minimal. It was fortunate that eventually the Airdramon himself saw that it was no use, and made an effort to get someone else. In the meantime the others had a moment to speak of each other. While the whispering was constant and the glitched scratching of reality tearing apart was close, it was soft enough to allow casual conversation.
As Hiroyo pulled away from her previous position, indeed, a glitched portal started tearing open from the spot where her arm was, slowly after she had dodged away from it. It’s existence proved to explain the ‘eating her arm’ feeling, as strange a metaphor as it might be. It did seem dangerous, if anyone would bring their limbs closer to one of these glitches though, they’d find that they were a lot more stable once created. Not stable enough for ‘I'm going to stick my arm in it’ to be a smart idea, but stable enough to hover your hand just an inch away from it harmlessly.
The Airdramon was indeed away for a little longer, but they could see him in the distance circling back, looking down at someone else they couldn’t quite see yet. Meanwhile, however, a slight sound would distract them as they heard a young voice say “Ooooo”.
A Pagumon, with a raspy voice and a rebellious adventurous streak had approached the empty field where the Bakemon was in the middle of. The Pagumon was still by it’s edge, but was accompanied by a Tanemon and a Metalkoromon. “C’mon, C’mon!” The pagumon said, apparently intending on getting closer to the Bakemon! From another different angle of the empty glitched field, a Chibimon and a Kyaromon looked out from a bush, looking towards the glitches with dangerous interest.

"This is what you get when you assume." Roger said with a snicker as Hiroyo's face went red at Carlos' words. She didn't know who the giant red head was, she couldn't really help Ryouta with his fear of ghosts, she almost got eaten by a portal...
Maybe, maybe it'd be best if she just hung back a bit during this mission. Let the others handlet it.
"Ah-ah, right. I'm sorry, you just, ah, looked like you were babysitting those two!" She said with a nod towards the Impmon and Guilmon. Of course than the Impmon opened his mouth and that was not language anyone would want to hear from a child! Hiryo put it bluntly. "...It is probably a good thing you're not a caretaker if your partner is so foul mouthed."
At least there wasn't any kids around!
"Oooo, c'mon c'mon!"
Hiroyo turned toward the voice with her eye twitching and her fingers curling into a fist. "Seriously?! Now?! Don't they know it's dangerous? We've gotta hel-"
"No." Suddenly Hiroyo realized the crushing feeling of being smacked down by both her party members at once. That response had been way to quick and she hadn't even finished talking! She put the foot down that she had lifted and stared at them open mouthed, shocked by the sudden dismissal.
"You are not stepping into that field again so soon. I will handle it." Morgan said and with a flip of his wings he was off flying up and over the field of portals trying to destroy everything. He hovered in the air a short distance between the two kids and the portals. He glared at them for a moment then lifted a claw in their direction. His words were not spoken loudly but they were firm. "Hachi Hachi Call."
The sound of buzzing filled the air as bees, regular human-world bees, rose from the grass in a humming cloud that flew towards the babies.
Back with the others Roger was cackling in delight while Hiroyo looked on with an expression of horror on her face.
"That's not helping!"
"That's the best thing I've ever seen!"
Morgan used Hachi Hachi Call and summoned a swarm of bees to chase the group of two young digimon away.

Oh, the dude and the girl are apparently couple? That's sweet. But even the mood was rather pink at the moment it doesn't help Ryouta's nervousness at all. His eyes darted from left to right, anywhere but the Bakemon.... Science Slut though? He's being rude here, but in his opinion the white haired dude doesn't sounds like someone who would bury his nose in books like Yuuki did...
...Then again neither does his bestie looked like a nerd. To trigger that nerd mode, one must tell him about interesting stuff; lore or otherwise artifacts and architectures of olden days. Then you'll see how his eyes changed from the usually cold one to sparkly, googly "history are amazing" mode.
"Hiro-chan, your assumption game still darn strong, huh?" Valt commented, teasing and referring to the first moment where she entered the cafe in Scramble Crossing and saw a barechested Ryouta because she thought the cafe is open and Ryouta is some sort of themed worker of the cafe. He then turned his attention to Talia.
"Sure sure, don't worry about it, miss. I'll send my friend a holler. He'll probably contact you soon. Just give me the D-Terminal Mail Address and I'll relay it to him shortly."
But it looks like that their little pleasant chat isn't holding up.
"Oi, oi, what do we have to do here!?"
Finally Ryouta snapped out of his little panic mode. He saw the kids running toward the ghost Digimon. Those babies... seriously.. He quickly rummaged his Infini-store and found several cakes inside.
"Ah wait this is my trial cakes!"
Even if it's trial, it looked delicious, with proper appetizing decoration. It smelled sweet too, chocolate with flowing milky scent and strawberries decorating it. It's shaped like a ball to,
"Aniki, it's trial right?"
"Yu---"
Ryouta did not have a chance to finish his confirmation. Valt grabbed the still-wrapped (with edible wrapper) cake STRAIGHT at where the three babies came from. He hoped that they see it, and it was enough. There are about five medium sized cake tossed at that way. He was about to toss the sixth one but... eyeing at Hiroyo, he decided to plop one to her hand.
"I know how much you like sweets."
Either way, if it's not working, Valt himself would go there and stop them.
