Driving through the forest, Chie kept her eyes on the path as the hovering RV seamlessly traversed the forest. While she did not have any bumps to worry about, she tried to stick to the wider gaps between trees so the vehicle had enough room. The headlights on as even though the day light shines, the large trees block out most of the light. On the seat next to the driver's seat was her Digimon partner, Do [Pronounced the same as Dough], who had his daughter Silvia, aTsubumon, on top of his lead just relaxing.
Chie had no regrets leaving her life in the real real behind, she had nothing left there and nothing
to look forward to, no secondary education, no friends or family to call on. She gave up her life for her family, who in turn were very ungrateful and turned the only home she known into a war zone and battlefield.
Do was glad to have people around who wouldn't leave him any time soon. However he did miss the old days though, Chie was great, she was kind, a great cook, and better to look at then Takashi, but unlike him, she wasn't about the life of fighting evil. True, she was more then willing to step up to the pate about wrong doing, but she was not willing to seek out and face it unless it was necessary. He couldn't hate Chie for her views, but the clash created great tension in their relationship, which even describing was a pain.
"So why do we even keep checking the Village of Beginnings, when it's clear she hasn't been there for months. Unlike you, it's clear she doesn't have a death wish." Chie said to Do, who had been adamant on periodically stopping by the village to check for his ex and mother of his child. "Wouldn't you want to find the mother of your child if you haven't seen her for a while but found your child in league with bandits?!" Chie sighed as she looked forward, not sure what to think regarding the pure stupidity of the statement. "One, I'm a woman, so regardless I'd be the mother. Two, where were you when she got in league with bandits? Both of you aren't exactly great parents." Chie rolled down the front windows and let the fresh air in. She couldn't tell of Silvia was awake or asleep, but she was enjoying the peaceful calmness, and hoping there was nothing to interrupt it for a while. Do remained silent as he couldn't exactly disagree with what Chie said, and didn't want to start the whole bad parent fight.
