The ordeal that was simply being the Fatebreaker was not something to be taken lightly. The bearers of this power, those who would call it a gift just as much as they would call it a curse, would all invariably suffer the same. They had to live day in and day out with premonition after premonition, unsure of what may come to pass, and what may not, all the while confronted with grueling and horrific sights, especially if one looked into the future one too many times.
Kappy once bore the power. Mae held it now. And at this very moment? Bondbreaker copying every single thing that Mae was capable of meant that the creature had also incurred a copy of the sight that only a Rasielmon could possess. It could see every possible move she could do, yes, but it was far too...simple. Imbecilic to even begin to grasp the potential behind it.
In short, Bondbreaker was playing with a force only one creature here was even remotely qualified to handle. And that creature refused to give up. Not only did the onset of so many premonitions tip her off that something was wrong once she had taken down the husks, but it gave her the impetus she needed to go, grab the child and her partner, and fly out of there as quickly as she could while the beast was stuck, reeling from the weight of the world.
Now, where was the entrance to the forest at...? "I have her!" Mae called out!

Hinomaru? Still alive. Koutarou? Barely hanging there due to how much energy it takes to maintain his partner to this stage... It should be obvious that while the bond has been reestablished, the sudden flood of memories does not get accompanied by the return of physique he had in the past. They looked worse to wear, and the Bondbreaker copies are now looking at Mae. They're perfect level at best, and she shouldn't even have any difficulty to dodge,
...but it's at this time that the real Bondbreaker suddenly summoned them back to its side. Something was missing from it... its left arm. Does it forcefully tore it away to undo its ability to use Mae's techniques? But all thing considered, the entire space become warped and distorted. Crap.
In moment of desperation, however, it's perhaps great that Hinomaru have a technique to escape.
"OVER HERE!" he yelled to the group.
The distorted field was no match to Hinomaru's ability, which let him to apparently pull a red string that guides everyone out... but just as they're about to go out... Mae's prediction would suddenly kicks in. Koutarou, stabbed on the stomach, and once again the newly formed bond broken.
It's at this moment, Bondbreaker appeared above the group, scissor hand ready... There's no time to even form an attack. It's letting out all its power to break at least one bond to complete its mission--

Against all odds, the two had managed to hold off the beast while Mae was retrieving the girl. The copies of Bondbreaker hurling themselves at her was, quite simply, easy to dodge. Too easy, in fact. It made Mae wonder if something had happened regarding the true Bondbreaker.
And then? It was there. It simply brought them back to it's side of the forest. As Hinomaru attempted to use his ability to lead everyone away from the beast...Another vision kicked in. A final one. If she allowed Bondbreaker to so much as touch Koutarou, then his bond would be severed once more.
The vision itself was about to come true, as the beast appeared above them with the intent of stabbing Koutarou. Mae's response was to look up, slowly lift her hand...
And focus. The power of every move that had been thrown around this forest quickly gathered as Rasielmon called forth a literal miracle in the form of Sefer Raziel. There was nothing fancy about this. No fanfare, nothing. Just the sheer power of a miracle focused into Mae's hand, which she then cast forth, hurling the prismatic sphere at Bondbreaker to deny him the completion it so desired!

Bondbreaker does not even flinch, not even when the miraculous attack pierced it. In fact, the attack that severed it into two was used by it to further extend its reach. The scissor blade, with its arm, extended, more and more... But that moment was all that Hinomaru needed to pull Koutarou, and pushes both him and Mae along the kid and her Digimon to the exit of forest. The blade itself struck the Chronomon.
"Gah...ak..."
Hinomaru's data begin to glitch. He could feel his old strength ripped out from him, rapidly, he's losing data, and what happened next was... not standard for sure. The Chronomon exploded, deciding to use the rapidly disintegrating data as a tailwind to pushes his friends out of the place, first to Butenmon, then another time to Buraimon. The explosion was enough push them out, but what about the bird himself? Well, Koutarou pulled the red string that he used to find the way out, pulling him toward the normal side of the Blossom Isle, far from the collapsing domain. All that was heard was the roar of the beast.
"...Oh Gods, Oh Fucketh, it's still alive...?" Hinomaru moaned. But even then, he's rapidly losing his form. Koutarou quickly tended to his side, gasping for air.
"...How's your condition?" he asked finally.
"Not too... hot... if you got what I meant."
"You're learning," Koutarou commented, smiling. The smile however does not quite reach his eyes. He's frantically trying to fix what's up... but all in all, he knows it's futile. Not even healing ability could fix this.
"...Looks like I'm not going to be able to fulfill that promise after all, Miss Mae."
"...Idiot, don't say that! Don't say 'it's impossible' to a doctor before he said his prognosis!"
"Heh... that's the Tono I know... Hey, I don't think I can hold this form forever... what... should I do?"
Koutarou looked at his Digivice. It's still active... which means the bond is still there, but it's getting more and more faint.
"...Is there... is there a way to reforge the bond somehow?" the blue haired youth desperately asked to no one in particular.

What kind of fucked up amalgamation of edgy 12 year old Deviantart OCs were they dealing with here that it was able to shrug off a fully powered Sefer Raziel like that?! Mae could only watch as the Chronomon was summarily impaled by the beast, and as such? The bond, ever so nascent in nature, was abruptly severed.
Yet, that wasn't in vain. They were propelled out of the beast's domain with the girl and her partner in tow. "How the hell is it still alive after that? I literally threw a MIRACLE at it!" Some things, it appeared, never changed. Even if the people these things belonged to were vastly different.
She turned her gaze to Koutarou and Hinomaru. "...I don't know. I've never had a partner. I never knew Kappy's. I don't...know anything about this reforging bond stuff..." At least they were out of there so they could think, albeit thinking quickly.

"Who knows," Hinomaru commented, chuckling. "But I say... getting out of here... was worth that shot. It's... in itself... a miracle..."
The avian is definitely is in pain, and his energy is rapidly gone. Mae had no idea how to reforge the bond. Has they truly used up all their miracles after all? Koutarou gritted his teeth. Nay... nay, this sort of bullshit is not allowed. Koutarou grasped his digivice, almost in vice-like grip.
"...Please, whoever you are... wherever you are, answer my prayers... Don't let this bond broken. Please... please don't rob him away from me. Not after what we have gone through together, not after what we did... I don't care if this is against what we stood for... even if it's against my own code of honor... I bare you my heart. Reforge our bond..."
He grasped Hinomaru's hand. "...As your liege, I forbid you to die as long as I'm alive. I forbid you to even think that this is our last time together... This might be unsightly, but so be it. Fuck your perfect image of me. I'm never perfect anyway. Fuck your honor. stay with me til the end!"
Yet, despite Koutarou thinking that his crest won't answer his request, the item floated, and with that, his Digivice rapidly transformed itself to a new model, an orangish red D-Nexus.
All system green, partner backup system online. To prevent further damage, suspending partner and soft restart. Defragmenting data will start in one minute. a mechanical voice declared
There are too many questions to ask, but... Koutarou could do that later.
"...From this point on," Koutarou whispered to Hinomaru as he slowly reverted to egg form. "...You're no longer the samurai Hinomaru. From this point on... your name is Agito. Nap tight, old friend, and let's continue our adventure next time."
"That... would be great... yeah..." Hinomaru, now Agito, completed his restart to Digitama. A trill could be heard, and Koutarou stared at the screen. DEFRAGMENTING BEGIN was all written there, with the process being at 0%

"That is what Rasielmon do. They see the future, and invoke miracles, one way or another." There was regrettably no miracle that Mae could pull to stop Hinomaru from...well, perishing. A part of her wish she could do something about this, but it simply was not meant to be.
And yet, at the same time, something else happened. The digivice changed into a different model, and Mae wondered to herself if something more had occurred beneath it all. Something that even she could not see. Did Bondbreaker truly sever the bond here, or did it enable it to start anew?
That was an answer that only the passage of time would reveal to them. "...Let's go back. See our friend here off." Mae stated, prepared to depart at any time.

"Right," Koutarou agreed. The duo (and an egg) decided to see the little girl and her partner off. The boy bowed repeatedly at them, thanking them like a machinegun. But one thing that caught Koutarou's attention is that neither the girl nor the partner remembered the encounter with Bondbreaker. In fact, it felt as if the two were just lost for whatever reason. Even so...
...I remembered how it looked, Koutarou thought. In a way, that's both terrifying and like a challenge that he's next, and he'll be targeted anytime. But at the same time, Miss Mae has blasted it away with such a strong attack... could it really survive after all of that? I felt like there are some omen, but... ability to counter it exist. I should probably... jot down this...?
Well, that was the plan, but the moment Koutarou opened his old book, big part of the missing part seem to have returned, which means he does not have to write it again.
"...How curious."
To return whatever is stolen, one must stare hard at it, relieving any sort of trauma, be it the actual trauma of past experience, or 'what ifs'. Doubts, nightmares, dread, possibilities... This creature is like all bad omen gathered in one place... But at the same time, it's not a Digimon?
So many things to ask, but what's the most important...
"....Miss Mae, what do you wish to do after this? I'm actually planning to head to some civilization. I feel there are little chance to be attacked there."
