Colin and Luke were glad that Daichi didn't cry out here, otherwise that would've made everything awkward. As Luke reactivated his holosuit, he smiled. "Sorry to lay that on you so suddenly. Hopefully you've heard enough from me and Bellamy by now that even though we're digimon, we can be just as sentient and intelligent as you humans."
"Come on, if you don't show enough favour for the Emperor, Darth Vapor's gonna getcha!" Bellamy called to the remainder of the library, clearly disappointed with the fundraising so far.
"Well... for the most part." Luke muttered, a little embarrassed.
It was at this point that Bellamy's friend Kagami patted his arm and insisted that he'd done enough for now. Bellamy looked over and saw Colin giving a thumbs-up, then he accepted her advice and left the rest of the Library alone. He walked over and rejoined them. It seemed Daichi was on board with the "Tamer" business.
"Well, better sooner than later." Colin answered Daichi. "We've still got some time before the next period. As far as I know, that digivice you have. I think that if you switch through its modes, you'll eventually find a radar program that can link up with your partners. That way, we should be able to find them quickly... although what to do with them afterward, hmm... you might have to keep them in your bag for the rest of the day."
"I reckon we should look for them, yeah." Luke agreed. "Especially with DATS lurking around these days, we wanna find them before they do."
"Guess we're on a search then." Bellamy concluded, and the trio stood up, shouldering their bags. "So then, where we headed?"

Being honest, even if he was scared at first Luke had a rather form so the shock went fast, and the teen can agree with the red hair digimon seemed to be as sentient as humans he would never have guess that two of his classmates were actually super natural creatures
"On the contrary, I believe Bellamy is pretty... I won't say smart but definitely witty and clever" He said with a smile "I've yet to meet some one with his skill for puns and funny "wrong answers" that's something I admire and can get behind, not everyone can do comedy"
Soon enough Bellamy rejoin the group and Collin decided that it'll be best to look for Daichi's partners, of course the Teen was excited yet Luke mention of something lurking around, "DATS" he didn't knew what that was but lurking around and that sounding like acronym didn't give the brunet a good feeling
He grabbed the device and press the buttons until the two arrows appear again and pointed outside of the building, they might still be roaming outside the classroom where he saw them, Daichi had mixed feelings about all this, mainly excitement yet fear, it's like starting a new hobby or getting a job, sure you will enjoy it and will be happy for getting it, but the fear of what could and might happen before it's there
"While we look for them, is there something I need to know about them, like you said they were like pets but knowing that Luke and Bellamy are digimon too, I'd figure they are not like little animals" He's sure that there is not a guide of "how to take care of your digimon" but any advice actually helps "And since I'm asking things... What's the "dats" thing that lurks?"

Daichi mentioned that he thought Bellamy was pretty witty and clever. Luke had to chuckle at that. "If only he devoted as much effort into his schoolwork as he did in his jokes and routines... ah well, I'm glad to hear that you like my brother's comedy. Although I won't tell him what you said, seeing as that would make his ego about the size of an airship."
Once the group was reunited and activity had calmed down, they watched as Daichi operated his digivice. Sure enough, eventually the radar function activated, and it seemed that it was close to homing in on the digimon that would likely be Daichi's partners.
"Seems like that's it." Colin remarked, standing up. Before they searched for them, Daichi asked if there was anything else he should know about them. Colin paused, looking at his partners, remembering what it was like when he first met them, then turned back to Daichi.
"First of all, you're gonna need to figure out if you've got a secure place for them to stay at." he began. "If you don't think your parents will tolerate pets, you'll probably need to store them in your digivice by buying a V-Pet program. That'll hide them from view so you can keep them nearby. Other than that, you're gonna need a lot of food for them. Digimon need to eat a lot. Also, if you decide to take your partners into your life, you'll probably need to make visits to the digital world. The easiest way to do that is to go to Shibuya station, enter the elevator, hold your digivice up to the panel, and it'll take you to a hidden platform with trains that'll take you to the other world."
Colin would likely understand that this was a lot to take in, so he'd patiently wait for a response. Following that, he, Luke and Bellamy would stand up and offer to follow Daichi to the signal that was showing on his digivice.
As for the final question, Colin answered carefully.
"DATS is basically an organization run by the Japanese government that specializes in security regarding digimon on Earth." he began. "So far they've been fairly tolerant about digimon, just as long as they're kept out of sight. If you leave your partners in the open, they might have something to object about that."

Before moving Colin answer to Daichi's doubts, first thing figure out a safe place to have the two, that can be easy and most likely have them in a place that he's always in and almost no one goes when he's around, of course he's thinking of his room, it's big enough to have the two little critters around!
The V-pet thing sounds interesting and really convenient he might have it in mind for the future just in case, food tho another easy solution there's plenty in his house being part of a sushi restaurant that's a given, the digital world tho... Well that would be like crossing the first threshold of his hero journey and while it sounds exciting he might take some time for that before jumping in.
DATS sounded exactly like the Men in Black or any of those fictional organizations that are tasked to hide the "supernatural" from our "normal" world, are digimon really that bad? So far he has only seeing his two partners to be and Luke, they don't seem that bad... No point in dwell on that it can't be that bad
With that out of the way the trio stood up and left the library following Daichi's digivice guide, it didn't took too long for them to reach the schoolyard and the digivice pointed towards some bushes, once Daichi bend over to take a look the little white rabbit thing jump at his face and wrap his ears around the teen's face.
"Wait! Stop bro, he's the one!" The ducklet digimon said getting out of his hideout
"You sure?" The Koromon asked letting Daichi go and falling to the ground
"Yes! Yes! Look he has the digivice in his hand!"
"I'm terribly sorry, promise won't happen again, Master"
"Come again?" Said Daichi confused at how the digimon call him, and of course catching his breath after being "attacked" by it
"Sensei! Whoever has the digivice is our sensei! And we will follow you and protect you and have tons of adven─" Chapmon was tackled by Koromon before finishing the sentence
"Shhh there is more people here, keep the secret!"
"Oh no, don't worry, they are friends, right? Daichi loked at Collin and the twins "They're here to help me a little with this whole being a tamer and find your partners"

As they left the library, they encountered the digimon fairly quickly. Colin and the twins were rather glad that they seemed to accept him so quickly.
"Heh, no worries about us, we won't tattle on ya." Bellamy assured them. "Although you should probably learn to pay closer attention. These holosuits only protect us from bein' viewed by other humans. Other digimon should know who we are pretty quickly."
For the time being, it seemed the Koromon and Chapmon fairly readily accepted Daichi as their partner. While this was good and all, Luke shifted uncomfortably, knowing that this was probably only step one in helping out Daichi with his digimon partners.
Colin meanwhile, tried to improvise a plan on the spot. He thought he could manage something. Middle classes today were math, which he felt that he couldn't afford to miss. But the afternoon classes would be English literature, which he felt was a class he'd be able to skip without too much of a hassle. In fact, if they could make it to the digital world so that Daichi could get these things over the lunch break, they could plausibly handle all this without any disruption at all.
Therefore he would turn to Daichi with hopes for a plan. "Okay... if you can convince your partners to keep quiet until lunch break, we can get you to the digital world to get the things you need to properly take care of them." Colin assured Daichi. He then grimaced as the warning bell rung, indicating they should make their way to the next class.
"Keep 'em well fed, that should help." Bellamy advised. With any luck, Koromon and Chapmon would even sleep if they were full enough, which would be a great help in getting through this latest hurdle.
Eventually, they would make their way to the entrance of their classroom, awaiting the arrival of their Math teacher.

Honestly seeing those little critters kind of melt Daichi's heart, they were adorable yet oddly looking, definitely something he has never seen before not even in fiction! That was a big yes for him to take the little guys with him, now the thing was to hide them until they're free... Of course leave them in his backpack should be the easiest of all the options, Bellamy suggest to have them well fed so they wouldn't make much noises.
"Well... I don't know what they eat but..." The teen reach into one of the pockets of his backpack and pull a small chocolate bar "Will this be enough?"
Daichi split the bar in half and give one to both digimon then asked them to hop in his bag and stay silent, they nodded and did as told, the teen was a little surprised of how cooperative they seemed, you know to be away from their world meeting a group of strangers one of which is supposedly their "tamer" at least he would have one or two doubts
"Thanks for helping me out with this, I promise I'll pay you one way or another"
For now the group went back to classes, Daichi would keep an eye on his backpack and hopefully the little critters wouldn't make too much noise, the next class was Math one that the brunet really disliked, it was his worst subject but hopefully thinking on what he will do with the Chapmon and Koromon later will help make time fly instead of the eternity this class always feels for him

Colin gave a smile and a nod at the notion of giving the baby twin digimon chocolate bars. "For now, yes, but you'll have to do a lot to keep them growing steadily. At least 8,000 kilojoules a day is about right for an in-training digimon. Twins could do with 6,000, that right, Luke?"
"Yeah..." Luke said, sighing at the fact that his background as a caretaker of the Village of Beginnings was being invoked upon like this. "Don't give them too fatty food, and don't overseason their meals. Best way? Rice meals. That's the best way to feed them."
He hoped that Daichi could handle that at home. But still, Colin wanted to maintain a line of communication between them if they came into difficulties.
"So, ah, that line of communcation we made for our group project?" Colin began. "Feel free to use it to ask for help with digimon too. I understand it could be difficult for you, but, if it ever gets too much, give us a buzz and we'll try our best to help you out." he promised.
Following that, they would make their way to Math class. Here, Colin simply did his best. Bellamy would yawn and do the minimal effort, while Luke enthusiastically jotted down the notes from the lecture. As far as they were concerned, they were back to their daily routine. Hopefully Daichi's digimon wouldn't burst forth and cause a distraction.

OK chocolate was fine and food wouldn't be much of a problem once they get home, not fat and the better if rice meals, yeah he can do that, the only problem was the kilojoule part... That's definitely a word that Daichi does not know... Was that a fancy way of saying calories? He knows that has heard the word before but don't remember the context and he doubts the "joule" part is as the unit of electricity since they're talking about food
"I'll keep that in mind and I'll definitely use the communication line, I'm going to apologize now because I'll use it a lot I don't think taking care of these two would be as easy as a dog..." Daichi froze for a second as he mention the word dog, he has one in his house would that be a problem? "Speaking of... How do digimon feel about other pets.. OH! And do they need to visit that digital world often?" Better get those questions out of the way before it's late
And from there it was Math class, a subject that is easily one of Daichi's worst, mainly because he's bad at it and dozes off during class most of the time, he can't help it but this time he was 100% awake, not for the subject itself but because he had 2 little creatures in his bag that who knows what are capable off.
Luickily aside some bumps they didn't do much and quickly stop moving, when the teen took a look to see his partners they were fast asleep tho it seemed they've been munching and pecking his sketch book as some pages were torn apart and had little holes, Daichi sighed it does seem he pick up to little dogs after all.
One thing that kept coming back in his mind and unable the brunet to focus on the class was that "digital world", how would look the planet of this little things? Would all be small like his and Luke? Would there be dangers there? Why some digimon appeared in our world? What would be the general reaction of Digimon towards humans? Seeing that "tamers" apparently are a common thing they could be accept humans with ease, so why should they keep digimon secret?
Those questions and many more keep popping in his head the whole class, he probably is going to need to borrow the notes of a classmate because he definitely did not pay attention at all

Daichi said that he'd be sure to use the communication line a lot. Colin smiled and gave a nod to indicate that was fine by him.
"That's alright. Just be sure to give a few minutes' notice, I'm not available at all times, but I'll do my best." he promised.
As for how digimon felt about pets? "Well... they can smell through our holosuits at least, and since we're not human, they can be a bit... tricky to get along with." Luke explained. "But, in my experience, feed them and pet them like humans do, and they'll come to like you."
"Yeah, that's your experience." Bellamy said to his brother, sulkily.
"You just don't take the time to build trust, Bells." Luke replied, simply. "As for visiting the digital world... you don't really have to do it at all, but, if you do, it helps your partners grow faster and stronger. So, that's just that to be kept in mind."
Following that, they would pay attention to their math class. And, to much of the relief of Colin and his partners, that was all for today. The remainder of the day was free periods, so that meant they would go home from here.
"Great to meet you, Daichi, and we're ready to help you whenever you need it." Colin said as they parted ways after class, offering to shake hands. "Just go with your instincts with your partners, do what they ask, and you should be fine."
With that, Colin and his holosuited partners would return home.
