"Fungus, huh? Be careful of the happyshroom or forgetshroom. The former will make you happy but will give you an... indigestion so to say. The latter would make you amnesic as the mushrooms sprouts above your head. Not sure if there is a way to cure for the last one, but they're pretty easy to find. The former is shaped like starfruit cut by half and the latter have brown cap dotted with purple spots," Gryz commented. "Although, apparently Forgetshroom doesn't work on humans."
With that, Gryz returned to the usual spot, tapped the ground a bit, and about twenty centimeters radius of grass seem to wither and gave way to solid ground below. Gryz then tapped it once more, forming rock formations that can be used as stand for frying pan and pots. It can also prevent the grasses around it to catch fire.
"Oh?" Tetsu seemed interested in Gar's story meanwhile. "Sounds like some mishap. Do you want to share about it? If you don't want to that's fine. Mine isn't as fun really. I'm just sleepy from school, accidentally boarded the wrong train and got to Digital World. Seriously, he was rude at it too. He kicked me out!"

Ruby was going to bark back that he knew plenty well risk harm to themselves of to his human because of such an oversight, but thought better of it seeing as Gryz was just setting up site and probably just making idle conversation. Probably. So his only reply to the fellow digimon was a nod.
"Ah well it's not like it's a depressing story or anything, just a few series of mishaps," Gar began, perfectly fine with sharing his own story. "Y'know Shibuya River? Its got a bad habit of people throwing their trash and junk in it. My dad was reminiscing about how it was much cleaner when he was a kid so I decided that I was going to spend the day trying to clean it up, if even a little bit. I actually got through quite a bit! But uh, then a small group of kids maybe my age, maybe a bit older, came walking by and started antagonizing me a bit over trying to clean up the place. I don't really remember if I was pushed or slipped, but either way I ended up in the water." Gar paused for a few moments as picked up a few nearby sticks and underbrush that could easily start the fire. "Ruby is actually the reason why I didn't drown that day. They were still a Gabumon then but they managed to pull me out and when I woke up and looked around he was even trying to dry out all my soaked stuff." Gar grinned a little bit brighter as he recalled this part. "And that's how we met and got to know each other. I continued visiting and clearly have upkept that."

"Hmmm, that's admirable..." Tetsu nodded approvingly "you know, I think the river not being clean is the point of it. See, it's weird in Japan where public stance in littering and whatnot is very strict, would you get caught dead littering and even tossing trashes like fridge and bicycle down there? That'd be so weird isn't it? That's why... the only explanation is that it was made to be. I have no idea who have the big idea to keep it covered like that because it's.... Well, it's suspicious looking isn't it?
Either way, trash from Digital World ended up in Real World through that gate and vice versa I guess... But I think you already know that because you did came here and all... But even then, being bullied is not nice at all. It made me want to punch those people who did that to you... If you meet them again you should tell me how they looked and all that I'll give them some lesson!"
Tetsu returned to Gryz's side after gathering enough firewood. Looks like while waiting the bear already cutting the ingredients with cooking knife and seasoning it.
"Ah, back at the right time. Put the branches here, would you?"
Tetsu put the dried branches on the ground. It might take him a bit to start up some fire for the meantime...

"That really isn't necessary Tetsu! I mean it really was so long ago now and I was never really upset with them anyways! After all I never would have met Ruby if they had just walked past!" Gar replied as he also deposited the tinder he'd collected on the ground. What he'd gathered was mostly just stuff that would burn easily and quickly as a good start for the fire.
"Plus I've already called dibs on showing those mongrels what their spines look like should we ever cross paths," Ruby added as they sat down nearby with their head held high.
"Oh Ruby don't say that! I know you wouldn't do something like that unless we were actually being threatened anyways!"
"Oh yes, of course."
"But you know," Gar begun as he turned back towards Tetsu, a confused but speculative expression on his face. "It is really strange now that you bring it up! I mean most people don't even go near it because of the condition it's in so you really think someone would have done something by now right?"
"Perhaps it's quite literally a cover-up of some kind," Ruby chipped in. "After all if it was in a cleaner state more people would be around it and there'd be more risk of people jumping in and just disappearing in front of many people. Of course whether they'd gone in intentionally or not would be another story."
"I never really thought much about it until now.."

Just at that time, Tetsu finally managed to start the fire. He blew some air to it to keep the fire alive, and burn bigger. Once it sets, Gryz put a pan on it, then began sauteeing some onions with olive oil for the taste. It'll take a bit while it seems, but the other three can now rest.
"More like I think even if they do try to clean it up, trash would still pile up. According to scientists of Digital World reason why there are so many anomaly in Digital World is due to [Junk Data]. These Junk Data often materializes as something that is not part of Digital World... For example, old bus, telephone booth that does not connect anywhere... and these junk data apparently end up gathering in abnormal portal, perhaps like the river, you see...
But Ruby's theory is not bad at all. It might be that indeed. There are less people who want to do dare by 'disappearing into the river' or something along that line."
And now it's seem Gryz added in mushroom and the meat and sprinkled it with some salt and pepper. It's a simple dish but the enticing smell soon wafts.
