From the sight alone, Hypno obviously understood what Mae want. "The books is it? Wise choice." The Dreamon quickly rotated the bookshelf so it's now pretty much on Mae's hand reach to browse. "These are mostly stories aimed toward making you sleep faster, or just overall relaxing scenery description that aims to activate your vivid imaginary so it will help you have a good dream, or perhaps a relaxing sleep overall."
"What about 100 stories thing? They're ancient."
"Oh that one is something I found while cleaning my basement, you see... Unfortunately, with my meager knowledge of the ancient Digimoji I only can read that part. It's apparently an old artifact, one where the picture moves as you read through the stories. I think it's like a prototype movie?."
"I see...."
Regardless, Mae would see that the collection of the books here are quite numerous. There are Digimoji translation of 1001 nights too. At any rate, the book she's looking for is on the corner, and it smelled old. Thankfully it's not dusty, nor it smells funny, just... like an old library, that's all.

Y'know, Mae had honestly just wanted to hear tales of old but this was a nice addition to said tales of old, really. She picked up the Digimoji-translated iteration of the 1001 nights, first, before the Meicrackmon noticed the book she was looking for. Well, might as well pick it up and get a look at it as well.
"Ancient Digimoji...?" She repeated to herself. Sheesh. Mae had already been certain that the language was old, but she was unaware that it had an even older dialect. "...Could I buy it off of you? I kind of wanna see if I can't read it--or at least learn to read it." What would Dreamon respond to that with?

"I'll have you know that unfortunately I will take no-backsies, is that fine?" Hypno warned. "So even if you can't read this, the book is your possession and I will not take it back."
"Well, then, how much is the book?" Steyr asked.
"Well, this book of this age is probably about... 4500 bits, together with the 1001 nights one."
"Hey, that's too expensive!" the Wanyamon shouted. "How much was it for the ancient book? 3500?"
"3500 indeed."
"So the new book is 1000 exactly, and 3500 for the ancient one? Surely you're jesting?"
"What does you mean jesting? Surely not! It's an ancient article, one that is on peak of rarity, surely you understand? This article could have been in any museum and you won't be able to find more of it!"
"But the fact that it's here and not in Ys museum makes me question that claim..." Steyr commented.
There's a visible flinch on the Dreamon's stance. Looks like he hits a nerve. "...mrrrrk... fine! 3000 for the old one!"
"Absolutely not. When have you been here for, Mr. Hypno? I think you're one of the earlier people who came to Ys. The Museum was made a year ago approximately... You could have sold that to the museum when it was made, but you didn't... That means the book isn't as rare as you would like?"
"Argh, you got me... fine, fine... 2000!"
"1250."
"That's way too horrible! 1900!"
"!350!"
"1800!"
"1400!"
"GOSH, ALRIGHT, 1600, TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT!"
Steyr mentally did a guts pose for managing to lower the price down to more than half. "So he said, Miss Mae!"

No take-backs, huh? That was alright. If Mae couldn't read this tome, then she could obviously find someone who not only could but who would probably be able to translate it if she looked hard enough. That is, if she could actually figure out where to start. The cat was just about to procure the bits asked for by Hypno when something peculiar in the form of Steyr busting out the ability to haggle occurred.
Mae wasn't expecting much to come from this, but in a strange miracle? Steyr managed to get the price down to -1600- bits. A right steal, really. She procured the bits and put them down on the counter. "1600 bits, as you said. I'll....uh. I'll be taking the book, yes?" She was really okay with paying 4500, but this was nice too.

"What? 1600 for both!? No no, that's too much of a highway robbery, miss!" Hypno denied.
"Errr, yeah that's a bit too much of a highway robbery, so 2600 instead for both. I haggled the ancient book specifically," Steyr corrected. Hypno seem to exhale in relief when Steyr revealed that he's not going to haggle further. To be fair, Steyr understood why. He's the son of the city's leader after all. He managed to haggle it fair and square, but if he pushes for more or use his father's name, he probably can get it for free... but he detested that. He obviously don't want anything like that. That's why he's happy to do it fair and square like this.
"So where else do you want to go?" Steyr asked. "There are several facilities in here too, like the Museum as you heard, the gym on the northern wall, library, and obviously there are also parks. Oh, and there are some theaters obviously. We got one for music and several for movies! If those are not to your taste, just say whatever you want and I'll guide you there!"

Oh. Well, that was something that was on her, and something she had been willing to own up to. "My apologies, then." Mae nodded, before procuring the truly correct amount of bits. That had been far less of a headache than she was anticipating it to be. And it was a good thing it wasn't, too, considering she had no real skill at haggling.
All the more reason why the young Wanyamon with her was far more of a help than she had anticipated. "Well, I was interested in the museum as well...I'm not much a gym person, and I usually end up bumping into people and causing messes at libraries...So, uh...Could you lead me there next?"

"Museum it is? Well, it'll be a bit far, so how about we take air taxi?" Steyr offered. Once again, he bounced toward the terminal, and seem to make some choices on the screen, like ordering an air taxi. Not three minutes later, an air cab approached. Steyr quickly hops in, and it looks like it's not going to take off unless Mae get in too, or if they cancelled the ride.
"So for the museum, it's on the northern area of the city... northwest specifically, where it overlaps with tourism area. There are small park near there, which pretty much where you can just have a rest on... the grass quite soft and nice, it'll lulls you to sleep... sleep...
...Sleep sounds good... ha! Oh, don't mind me!"
...Perhaps it's also one of side effect of being a baby. You tires out faster. But it's obvious that Steyr want to help Mae more. The air cab soon landed on the park, right in front of the museum. Compared to the other building, the museum obviously looking more grand and artistic. There are apparently two museums in the same place. One is dedicated to historical artifacts and archives, another seem to be art museum.

"..." Mae needed to take a moment to process that. Air taxi...Was that some sort of flying car? As Steyr went and inputted the necessary choices on the screen, and three entire minutes went by? Mae's thoughts were confirmed. This was indeed a flying car. The cat would get in with Steyr, and looked down as they took off into the air.
...This was quite new to her, truth be told. "...Oh, you can nap if you want. I don't mind, really." The cat stated, reaching over to pet the Wanyamon if allowed. As the museum came into view, she turned her gaze towards it! "...Hey, we're here! Looks like a sort of double museum. Neat!"
She'd disembark and head towards the museum. Simple!

"Oh no no, that'd be rude!" Steyr answered. "I can hold it for a while anyway..." but it's not looking convincing the slightest. He looked like he's ready to doze off anytime soon, considering how he's slightly nodding off, just like a kitten trying to hold off to not actually fall asleep... Either way, he failed because soon he just followed Mae while sleepwalking...
...His tenacity is to be admired at least.
Indeed, it's double museum, and apparently a third one is about to be made. Not just that, across the street there is library with its equally spacious park. Looks like this section of the city is dedicated for learning. There are also what looked like sunday class. Anticipating a lot hungry students, there are also a huge cafeteria, with private booths and obviously group rooms.
"Ha!" suddenly, Steyr seems to snaps awake. "Oh boy, did I fell asleep? I'm sorry... Well, anyway, both the museum and the library are free of charge to enter. Part of the city tax are used to maintain them instead. But you'll have to wear special tag when entering if you're a tourist. For the citizen they just have to flash the D-Nexus is all!"

...Was the kid genuinely following her while asleep? That was nothing short of impressive, all things considered. Especially for a baby. Anyways, Mae kind of felt daunted at the size of this museum at first, staring to and fro until Steyr awoke, the Meicrackmon almost jumping from the surprise.
"R-Right...Guess I'll need to go grab one of those tags, considering I don't have one of those D-Nexuses..." She had to actually go inside to get that, didn't she? Well, no sense in lingering any longer. Mae stepped up to the entrance of the museum to take the figurative plunge into the depths of history and tourism, opening the door to go inside and looking for...Why, a front desk, first and foremost.
What would she find?

"Ah right, the tags! Over here then!"
Steyr would guide Mae toward the Museum receptionist, which apparently is a Yukidarumon. There are seem to be quite the pattern here. Receptionists and Information counters are mostly dealt by Yukidarumon, while most of the janitorial and various low level works are handled by Penmons... Is it the pattern? Either way, the Yukidarumon would bow gracefully, and starts explaining about the Museum.
"Welcome to Ys Museum. I assume you're a visitor? In that case, please have this."
The Yukidarumon gave Mae what looked like a wristwatch, but instead made out of plastic and the clock part instead something like a chip embedded inside a crystal instead.
"It's something like both a timer and a key access. We encourage learning around this part, and should you visit for about an hour and complete our little quiz at the end when you're about to exit and get enough score, we will present you with free meal in our local cafeteria. The quality of the meal is depending on how many questions you got correct obviously."
"It's quite the effective method to encourage Digimon to study," Steyr commented. "Plus it's not mandatory. It's just an extra if you happened to be in pinch or hungry. You still can purchase food normally in the dining hall."
"The library and the other museum are the same, but only one free meal can be obtained this way."

That was admittedly a minor slip-up, but it was still one that Mae could forgive. The cat walked up to the Yukidarumon and awaited her explanation. At least they figured she was a visitor, y'know! The cat slowly glanced down towards her Wanyamon companion as he explained the nuances of the quiz.
"...I'm gonna do it. Mostly because I'm actually bored and want to see how well I do on it. Also because free food is pretty nice. I do try to study a lot when I can, either way, though! Do you?" She asked the lil hairball. While Mae awaited an answer from Steyr, she glanced around for a proverbial place to start studying.
Mostly so she can get the free food.

So Mae wanted to do it. "Well, I do love studying too. So let's see what's today's assignment is."
And there it comes. There are three sections to start at the moment. First one is ecology and survival, which means the natura section of the museum. The second one is ancient civilization, which probably means they have to look at that section too. The last one is a theory about fossils... which honestly part of unknown area. After all, what are fossils really? Are they just part of Digital Waste, or something else?
"Well, there are our options. We should take our time to study. This time around apparently the ecology and survival parts pretty much focuses on edibles and nonedibles. The ancient civilization apparently is about deciphering some puzzles... this one got no wrong answers, but up to how close you are on reaching the true answer, you'll get more points. The third one is... more tricky. So how about it, Miss Mae? Where do you want to start first?"

Studying was a part of what Mae did every day at the library, and it was still something she found a considerable amount of enjoyment to be derived from. Three separate sections to start with at the moment, which meant their destinations were pretty clearcut.
"Well, I do believe in starting from the beginning and working my way to the end, so I say we should take some time with ecology and survival before we move on to Ancient Civilizations. Then we move on to the last one, review where we're lacking, and then try reviewing from there." It seemed like a pretty simple plan to follow, but what would Steyr think of it?

"I think today's exhibit is... the desert? We changes the main exhibit once a week, especially when it comes to ecology and survivability. So... Folder Desert is the topic this time around. Over here, then." Steyr guided Mae toward one of the big door in the museum. The museum itself is gigantic, but thankfully they don't have to walk so very far because most of the space are pretty much just occupied by the exhibits. And in this case, they'll soon find themselves in massive diorama of Folder desert. They're separated in sections, rather than the entire room being Folder Desert. There are paths to walk to each exhibits.
One thing for sure is the fact that the worker here seem to be native of Folder Desert. Togemon, Ponchomon, Prairiemon and so on. The Togemon on the entrance immediately greeted the group that just came in.
"Welcome to exhibit of Folder Desert, presented to you by KIZNA Assault Division. This exhibit's idea, like many other, is to teach you how to survive in Folder Desert. The rules in this room is that you can jump to the display diorama here, it'll give you an idea how hot the folder desert is, what are the temperature like, how arid it is, and as you can see, this exhibition chamber is separated into morning and night. . The Folder Desert you see is a type that changes between the morning and night. If you look at the plaque, you can tell what's offered."
-The first plaque shows that it's just a testing diorama for temperature, structure and general ecosystem... where there are cactuses.
"If you wish to enter the diorama, please queue. Everyone may stay in there for about five minute each, so please do not hog. My coworkers are ready in their assigned exhibit to assist you should you have question. Please enjoy your time inside, and learn a lot."
And with that, the Togemon left them to their own device.
