Bewitching encounter [Xros Hunt]

It was a silent day in the woods, the warm breeze was gently flowing through the trees, rays of sunshine were shining through the thick threes, all seemed to be slow and cautious. Digimon were going about their business, while the occasional scuffle happened there was nothing of note. Six Tailmon walking in a line through the woods, the one at the back was an odd one, as it was a Black Tailmon. She was walking a noticeable gap away from the others, while the Sextuplets were close since birth, the five normal Tailmon began to pick on her and blame virtually everything on her, even when she's at the other end of a room.
Taily only stayed with them because she had no where else to go, and she knew she'd be alone otherwise, and that the same situation would occur. She kept walking through the woods until a loud scream could be heard from the bottom of the hefty slope on the left side of the path. All six feline Digimon looked down to notice it came from the Dokugumon's nest. The Sextuplets knew about the nest and how the predator inside usually waits for incoming prey to fall into it's nest, so it was safe to stay on the border.
A blonde human girl with terrified brown eyes was staring right into the many green eyes of a spider like creature that had arms, slowly approaching her, causing her to wince in fear as she struggled to break free of the webbing. This human was Alicia Ito, but how she got there was other story.
Alicia had spend her day working at her uncle Yuujiro's storage unit facility. It was a large lot facility with decent sized units at a steep yet fair rate, with a generous policy. Alicia's Uncle usually let the units be but tries to contact the holder before their payment is due, and twice after if they fail to meet the required time. At the end of the second month afterwards, if there is no communication or acknowledgement for potential payment, the unit gets vacated. Yuujiro often made extra cash on the side selling contents of vacated units. It was on this day that Alicia noted that there was only one unit for clearing. There was no listed name on the owner except for an alias called "Iam Noone", when she asked her uncle about it he assumed the renter was American. She ordered a new lock before she opened up the unit, only to see that it was near empty. The contents of the storage unit was one device in the center of the unit, right underneath the light in the ceiling. "Single content. Estimated worth, 16,000 Yen."
When Alicia approached the silver device, she initially thought it was a game console of sorts, a potential prototype that was never released or quite possibly still in the beta stages, if not that most likely some sort of scientific instrument, possibly a radar. When she knelled down to pick it up the device glowed as the trim changed from silver to black and the screen was a blinding mix of colors, Alicia had to close her eyes as she didn't notice the portal open up beneath her. The next thing she knew she felt wind against her, sun shine on her skin, and then opened her eyes to notice she was above a forest of some sorts, and that gravity hurts as she fell through the trees, and braced herself for impact on hard ground as she closed her eyes, only to hit something soft and sticky as she was bouncing for a brief moment but was still attacked.
When Alicia opened her eyes she noticed that she stopped moving, but there was an aching pain in her back. Her elbows and thighs were stuck, she couldn't move them much, but she could feel the black device from earlier in her hand. She looked around as everything came into focus, she had landed in a giant spiders web a few feet off the ground, connected at various rocks, trees, and ledges of the nearby hills. She sighed relief."Well, regardless of the situation this fortuitous event really saved my bacon. Wait a minute, if this is a web, this big, that means-" Alicia's eyes widened as she heard the sound of various footstep, only to notice a large spider like creature come down, it seemed to have some form of armor and arms. The Dokugumon climbed down the tree, laughing as he approached the web. "Well well well, today's my lucky day. My first human, and a lady, nice. My brothers always said that men tasted bitter sweet from sweat."
Alicia stared at the being, trembling as she struggled to move, she was too stuck in the webbing, she saw the spider like creature salivate. "No, stop, stay back, someone help!" She screamed in fear, fearing no one would come to her aid, unaware there were six viewers of the fray, mostly because her gaze was away from the hill.
The five white Tailmon shrugged as they all didn't want to get hurt. "Sorry I just got my nails done." "I can't fight until thirty minutes after I eat and I late, like, ten minutes ago?", "Sorry, but I don't help trash that can't style.", "Help yourself!" "Nah, babe, ya got this. Just believe in yourself." However Taily clenched her claws and bit her lip, frustrated. She ran towards the edge of the hill and jumped off putting full force into the jump. "Super Pounce!" She did a front roll in mid air and timed her second jump to bounce down off the underside of the branch so she could punch the Dekugumon right in the head. "Neko Punch!"
The insect Digimon's head was slammed down into the web, face first. He ended up with his webbing in his own eyes. The force caused everything caught in the web to bounce, sticks, rocks, and the human girl who managed to break free out of the binding except for her left elbow. When Taily bounced off of the Dekugumon after the punch, she landed right on top of the human girl's back. "You okay?"
The shock of the events so far leading up to this rendered the shock of a talking ninja like cat moot, she tried to raise her left elbow as she casually spoke to the Digimon. "Had better days. Mind cutting me loose?" Taily knelled down and with two claws, had cut Alicia free of the last part of the webbing.
The Dokugumon finally pulled his head out of the webbing, still had bits of it in some of his eyes. "That's it, I only got one shot at this... Venom blitz!" It opened its mouth wide open as it's teeth turned black, before being shot out towards the girls. Taily gasped nervously, and in the heat of the moment pounced in the way to intercept those fangs as they pierced into her, before the tiny feline fell down onto the webbing. The Spider like Digimon seemed to feint as well.
The five Tailmon watched and shrugged, very indifferent to the fact that their sister was injected with a lethal poison. Alicia gotten up and hurried towards the black feline, picking her up as she looked at the dazed Digimon as the foreign fangs crumbled into dust. "C'mon, stay with me girl..."
The five Tailmon hopped over, and sat at a tree branch in a row. "Poor Taily, she got poisoned by Venom Blitz." "Yeah but at least Dokugumon's out of commission. Probably hoped to get both of them." Alicia looked up and was confused at the situation. "Poison? What are you? Anyone got an antidote?" Each question was answered by a different Tailmon, except two were not paying attention as one was filing their claws and the other was on a phone. "Yes, it's a double edged sword. Strong poison, but unfortunately puts him out for a few minutes." "We're Digimon! Creatures that have boundless potential, and we're a rarity, as we're sextuplets!" "Nah, the closest thing is a healing spring about two kilometers that way, but it's just easier to let her die. Less of a pain for us. We can do without some bad luck. She's only got a few minutes anyways."
Alicia was dumbfounded by what she just heard, siblings, yet they show little to no affection or affinity for Taily. She proceeded to take off her shirt revealing the black sports top underneath. She tied the feline Digimon to her back with her removed shirt. "Then screw you, I'm not letting her die if she was willing to go to extreme lengths for me. Lazy asses." Alicia proceeded to run in the direction she was pointed to, climbing up the rocky side of a hill and started to run through the woods, her breathing was heavy as she tried to keep up a strong pace.
The pack of Tailmon, were angry, the one who wore a pink scarf jumped down and looked at the downed insect Digimon. She tapped the Dokugumon, its teeth then proceeded to grow back. "Screw them then, hey big loud and ugly! They went that way!" She pointed in the direction of the spring, and the Dokugumon moaned excitedly, before he proceeded to start a chase.
Alicia had stopped and leaned against trees for a brief rest to catch her breath. Her Feline companion was fazing in and out of consciousness, however her advanced senses managed to catch a glimpse of the oncoming spider. "Be... hind..." Was all she managed to wheeze out. When Alicia looked over her shoulder, she noticed the familiar sight in the distance. Alicia's eyes opened wide before she continued to run through the forest, hoping to keep the gap wide and tried to run in zigs and zags, hoping to throw off the insect but to no avail. "Darn, darn, darn!"
Alicia eventually saw a large old tree that was about to fall over. She untied her shirt and grabbed Taily and held her out as she ran towards the tree. "Got one swipe in ya?" The Tailmon caught onto the scheme, and nodded, slashing the tree as they passed it, crackles could be heard before it fell down, creating an obstacle in the way. The rest of the way was tense but smooth as she eventually found a small clearing where there was a bunch of rocks surrounding a spring of water. On one rock there was a Jijimon sitting, staring out into the water. Alicia ran to the water, and gently knelled down and slowly lowered Taily into the water. "Please, don't let it be too late..."
The Jijimon shrugged and chimed in. "Not my place to say, but I'd say your fine." Alicia let go as the wounds on Taily were glowing, While the Digimon floated in the mystical water Alicia looked at Jijimon. "Oh, sorry, I didn't see you there. I was preoccupied, she saved my life and I was just trying to repay the favor." Jijimon laughed a little bit as he raised his hand. "Fear not child, I understand you have no ill will." He noticed the black device sticking out of her pocket. "Dear Omnimon, is that an Xros Loader? That's a rare Digivice." Alicia pulled out the device from her pocket and stared at it. "Yeah, I picked this up and suddenly got transported here, I ended up in the web of some big ugly beast."
Jijimon pointed to behind Alicia. "Like that one?" Alicia nervously turned around to see the Dokugumon had followed her all the way here. "You've got to be kidding me!" Alicia jumped to the side as the spider like Digimon charged. As soon as she was cleansed by the spring, Taily jumped out of the water to look at the higher level Digimon. "Round two?" Dokugumon repeated tried to charge at Taily, who always jumped out of the way, in a cycle that was going on for minutes. Jijimon stroke his beard and commented on the matter. "Hmm, it would seem this Tailmon is rookie level, against a Champion level Digimon." Alicia looked confused at the Digimon. "Rookie? Champion?" "Ah, right, well there are various levels of Digimon. Two in-training tiers bellow Rookie, followed by the Champion level, then Ultimate." "So it's basically video game logic. While she's got higher agility, she's still a full tier bellow him in every way meaning until someone runs out of stamina, probably her, it's a stalemate."
"What if I told you there was a way you could turn the tables?" Alicia gotten closer to the old Digimon, curious as to what he was getting at. "Really? How?" "You see, there are classes of humans that have special devices that can allow Digimon to undergo a special transformation called 'Digivolution' that allows them to turn into a stronger form-" Alicia made the connections as she looked at her Xros loader, and assumed what was supposed to happen. Getting closer to the situation she held out her Xros Loader and faced it towards Taily. "Alright here's hoping this works... Digivolution!"
The Dokugumon stopped scared for a brief moment as he gazed over to look at Alicia, and then got a better look at the device before he burst out laughing, so hard that he ended up rolling. Jijimon face palmed at the utter reckless stupidity of this new General. Taily was confused by the whole thing. "I haven't changed at all? Jijimon sighed as he stood up, jumping off the rock and approached Alicia. "Um, I probably shouldn't start with world building. You aren't capable of Digivolving Digimon. You're an Xros General, that device is an Xros Loader, and allows you to fuse Digimon into a higher level."
Alicia looked down at the Digimon, confused. "So you want me to fuse you with-" Jijimon smacked Alicia's hip with his staf before it opened, revealing a chip of some sort. "Slide that into your Loader, there's a slot at the side. Then repeat these words 'Incomplete Xros X2'." Alicia picked up the chip and slid it into the port, the screen lit up as a ball and a silhouette of Tailmon appeared, before overlapping into another image of a humanoid. She pointed her Xros Loader at Taily as the screen lit up. "Incomplete Xros X2!"
A ball of light shot out of the device and hit Taily, entering her as her body became encased in a ball of light before condensing and taking shape, replacing the Tailmon with a Witchmon sitting on a broom. "Witchmon is on the job!" The Dokugumon looked over nervously. "Uh-oh..." In Witchmon's hand a ball of dark blue energy formed and she tossed it at Dokugumon, it landed right under him, causing an explosing that resulted in a massive spike of ice freezing his jaw and front arms and legs to the ground.
"Wow, what a, change." Alicia said as she watched the scene. Jijimon nodded. "Yes, Incomplete Xros is a psuedo-evolution, not quite as strong as a real Champion. but when you factor in Witchmon's skill set it's a clear shift towards her favor. Also seems like he's got his fair share of hits in today."
Witchmon pointed her broom at Dokugumon as pink sparks formed, condensing into a ball of pink electricity as she lowered and aimed it right at the face of the Digimon, before the ball turned into a pink bolt of Lightning sending the Digimon flying back. He barely rolled over as he was muttering something about not being worth it before he scurried off. Alicia shrugged. "Guess he doesn't like fair fights. Thanks again-"
Witchmon approached Alicia as her body turned to a white light, before reshaping back into a Tailmon and a ball of white light returned to the Xros Loader. Alicia and Taily couldn't see the Jijimon. "Where'd he go?" Taily shrugs and looks around. "Clearly he was here, but I don't know now. Oh, thanks for saving my life, I'm Taily."
Alicia put her shirt back on before looking back at the Digimon. "Don't worry about it, you saved mine first. I'm Alicia, but just call me Aly." The other five Tailmon caught up with the two, greatly displeased. Taily sighed and prepared for the onslaught of harassment. "Ugh Taily you waste of bytes how dare you make us come out this way!" "yeah, why couldn't we just be quintuplets." "You really are a demon cat, you wasted everyones time and now we're gonna be late for our reservation, you're not eating tonight you trash-"
Alicia looked at the five cats with a cold stare that made all of them shiver. She was not willing to tolerate any more disrespect being thrown at Taily, regardless of who it was that was throwing it. She had seen several examples that it was greatly undeserved. "Shut up, all of you. You're just a bunch of catty bitches. As far as I'm concerned I'm looking at the only trash around. She went out of her way to help someone she doesn't even know, and even nearly died for me, and fought twice. As far as I care she's a pure bad ass. All you could do was care about yourselves even while she was poisoned, yet claim she's your sister. Honestly you disgust me, you're no family to her."
Alicia looked over to Taily with a smile over her shoulder. "Look, I don't know where I'm headin', I don't know much about this world, but I could use the company. Howabout it Taily, wanna come with me?"
Taily almost cried tears of joy while the other Tailmon's jaws dropped. She nodded as she followed Alicia away into the woods, while the five Tailmon were left speechless, and then proceeded to walk in the other direction, greatly annoyed.

Also seems like he's got his fair share of hits in today."
Witchmon pointed her broom at Dokugumon as pink sparks formed, condensing into a ball of pink electricity as she lowered and aimed it right at the face of the Digimon, before the ball turned into a pink bolt of Lightning sending the Digimon flying back. He barely rolled over as he was muttering something about not being worth it before he scurried off. Alicia shrugged. "Guess he doesn't like fair fights. Thanks again-"
Witchmon approached Alicia as her body turned to a white light, before reshaping back into a Tailmon and a ball of white light returned to the Xros Loader. Alicia and Taily couldn't see the Jijimon. "Where'd he go?" Taily shrugs and looks around. "Clearly he was here, but I don't know now. Oh, thanks for saving my life, I'm Taily."
Alicia put her shirt back on before looking back at the Digimon. "Don't worry about it, you saved mine first. I'm Alicia, but just call me Aly." The other five Tailmon caught up with the two, greatly displeased. Taily sighed and prepared for the onslaught of harassment. "Ugh Taily you waste of bytes how dare you make us come out this way!" "yeah, why couldn't we just be quintuplets." "You really are a demon cat, you wasted everyones time and now we're gonna be late for our reservation, you're not eating tonight you trash-"
Alicia looked at the five cats with a cold stare that made all of them shiver. She was not willing to tolerate any more disrespect being thrown at Taily, regardless of who it was that was throwing it. She had seen several examples that it was greatly undeserved. "Shut up, all of you. You're just a bunch of catty bitches. As far as I'm concerned I'm looking at the only trash around. She went out of her way to help someone she doesn't even know, and even nearly died for me, and fought twice. As far as I care she's a pure bad ass. All you could do was care about yourselves even while she was poisoned, yet claim she's your sister. Honestly you disgust me, you're no family to her."
Alicia looked over to Taily with a smile over her shoulder. "Look, I don't know where I'm headin', I don't know much about this world, but I could use the company. Howabout it Taily, wanna come with me?"
Taily almost cried tears of joy while the other Tailmon's jaws dropped. She nodded as she followed Alicia away into the woods, while the five Tailmon were left speechless, and then proceeded to walk in the other direction, greatly annoyed.
