Things had escalated quite quickly, truth be told. The Buraimon had ignored Mae entirely in favor of a signal, upon which some provocateurs (himself included) spoke up against...Who else? DATS. There was an agent present, one with a Dracomon. Said agent took what was thrown at her and redirected it right back with a roast that honestly caught Mae off guard a little bit.
And it caught the other Digimon off guard as well! Mae whipped her gaze back towards Buraimon and spoke with a far more firm tone to her voice than the inquisitive feline from earlier. "Buraimon. If you have any sense of honor whatsoever, then you'll at least consider what the woman has said."
...Oh god, she was probably able to be heard by practically everyone else. "Strike now and you'll harm innocent people--and undermine your cause. Is that what you want? Is that what -all- of you want? Innocent blood to be shed?"

As Kenny' s father - Michael - approached Cassie, the little Gomamon-X would glance up to him with curiosity. She had seen him with Kenny and Skadi, and had seen him interacting with Ophelia, too - even if she couldn't quite hear them over the hubbub of the district - so she knew he was a friend, too. But she never did properly meet him, til now! She was quick to pay proper respect to the older man though, extending a flipper with a bright smile. "I'm Cassie; though my full name is Cassandra!" She'd introduce herself with a wide grin, "It's nice to meet you, sir! What's your name?"
Ramona, too, would catch her attention - the Gomamon-X smiling to her. "It's nice to meet you too, Ramona! I'm Cassie!" She'd extend a flipper to the Wormmon once she was done shaking hands with Michael - more than happy to be making new friends with others, evidently apparent by her wide and cheery smile.
Meanwhilst, as Ophelia, Kenny, and Skadi approached the Nise Agumon Hakase... The disguised Spadamon would tilt her head a little at his response; blinking a bit. "Who're you waiting for?" She'd ask - adding with a grin "I can help look for em, if you'd like - or sniff them out. Even suited up like this, my senses are pretty damn good!" Even as she was friendly towards the Agumon though, she couldn't help but wonder what was going to happen, when this digimon DID find who he was waiting for...
... and she was quick to get her answer. Not long after having questioned the Agumon, she could hear an ability being called out; and in glancing up, would see the sky filled with apparitions of digimon, performing just as the rookies below did. Looking for the source, she was quick to spot the Archnemon, a strange human, calling out to them from her perch atop the roof. Much as the digimon below seemed confused and unsure of this individual, Ophelia couldn't help but get a foreboding feeling in her gut that made her elicit a soft, barely-audible growl in her throat. She wasn’t scared; fuck, she was far from it. But she knew that none of this boded well...
The Archnemon seemed cordial enough at first, but was quick to accuse and single out the DATS agent that had come to survey the situation; accusing her of having come with the intention of... Genocide?! Ophelia would blink in alarm, unsure of what to make of this; for as far as she knew, the DATS (that is to say, the DATS of today that she was aware of) wouldn't resort to genocide, and even if they did, she would've heard something far sooner, wouldn't she? This was all bullshit!
Glancing back towards the Nise Agumon Hakase as he brandished his wand, Ophelia would frown a hair, crossing her arms... And would begin to speak to him again. "... I don't think that starting a fight here's going to do you guys many favors, y'know." She'd begin, turning to face him fully. "That's just one person you guys are making a huge fuss over; if she really meant to be a threat, I think they'd come more prepared than just one digimon, to begin. Even if that digimon does have some ultra big form, fighting's only going to scare the hell out of people - which'll mean that all these performances will be for jack shit." She'd point out - continuing "It's also going to result in innocent humans and digimon getting hurt, which I imagine is the last thing either side would want, and would only justify the shit you guys are trying to avoid in DATS’ eyes, I’d imagine. As much as I enjoy fights, how 'bout we talk this out before we start pointing fingers or doing anything even remotely related to fucking shit up?"
And all the while, as Ophelia talked to the Agumon... Cassie would watch and listen as the Archnemon's demonstration and speech went on, growing increasingly disconcerted. People were getting nervous, people were getting tense... A fight seemed ready to break out at any moment, which would mean that everything that happened here would be for naught! Under the pressure, Cassie was seeming to become equally nervous; glancing around at her surroundings, and even glancing to Ophelia and the others - wondering if she shouldn't go to their side... Who knew what might happen, in the coming moments?? Was this gathering going to be ruined so easily, by another digimon's hate...?
She could feel something catch in her throat for a second as she, herself, would tense up - glancing to the digimon that had called out, but...
... No. Hell no.
Cassie would swallow down the lump in her throat, her claws on her flippers digging into the ground in something akin to kneading; furrowing her brows. Her heart hammered, she could feel her anxiety building, but... She wasn't going to let someone else ruin this fun event! She wasn't going to let someone else's anger make a fight break out! Pushing past Ramona and Michael, Cassie would take center stage now; and would begin by calling out a single thing:
"Are we going to let this all go to waste, then?!"
Her voice would carry surprisingly well for such a small body; she was used to the mountains, where the very howling wind could drown out one's voice or carry it away - and she wasn't about to let anything here drown out her voice now. "Wasn't the reason why we came out here, to perform, was so that we could make ourselves known? So that we could show humans that we are here to make friends, to make peace??" Cassie would call loud and clear, glancing to everyone. "Performing's fun, meeting all these new humans is fun - but if we let anger and hate control us, it's going to ruin everything! People are only going to be scared of us, people are only going to get hurt! It'd all go against everything we came here to do!"
"And I'm not okay with that - I'm not okay with the idea that this could all be undone with someone's hate!" Cassie declared, glancing to everyone around her - to the humans, to the digimon, to her friends. "And I hope that I'm not alone in that - that we don't want the performing and fun to end! That we don't want to fight, or to let anger win out and blind us like this! That we don't want to make ourselves look like something to be feared in these peoples' eyes!"
Her eyes would finally fix on the other digimon first - pausing briefly to let her words sink in, and to take in a deep breath so that she could continue calling out, her determination and hope for this to not go to waste filling her voice. "I won't deny that digimon have both good and bad, just as humans do - but if we're going to make a good impression on people, we have to show everyone that our good outshines the bad, thru and thru! If you're with me, if you're not okay with this, if you don't want everything to go to waste, then perform as hard as you can! Make the biggest, brightest, shows you can - show that peace will win out, not hate! And if you don't want to, or can't, perform...
... Then everyone - Humans, digimon, everyone! - follow my lead...!"
Cassie's eyes would then snap to the Archnemon; determination filling her gaze as well, as she took another step forward. She'd take in another deep breath - preparing herself - before...
"DROWN OUT THE HATE; WE'RE NOT HERE TO FIGHT! DOWN WITH THE HATE; WE DON'T WANT A FIGHT! DROWN OUT THE HATE; WE'RE NOT HERE TO FIGHT! DOWN WITH THE HATE; WE DON'T WANT A FIGHT!"
Cassie would begin to chant with fervor, clapping her flippers in time with her words; only pausing in between lines for brief breaths. Even if no one followed her in this, she would chant to protest and drown out the Archnemon's hate, her attempts to start a fight with the agent, her attempts that would only ruin what was a fun demonstration - and she would chant and protest for as long as she had to, to make it known that this wasn't okay! That this wasn't what they came here for!
As this went on, Ophelia would glance to Cassie in hearing the Gomamon-X make her case to everyone in the District who would hear her out, and in hearing her begin to chant and protest. The disguised Spadamon would blink a little in surprise; not expecting her sister to make a scene like this, but... She couldn't help but grin a little - atta girl! - and glance down to the Nise Agumon Hakase. "... Well, you heard her, yeah?" She'd muse to the Agumon, smiling wryly - before glancing back in Cassie's direction and joining in, clapping her hands and calling out in time with her sister as loudly and clearly as she could. Like fuck she was about to leave her sister in high water.
"DROWN OUT THE HATE; WE'RE NOT HERE TO FIGHT! DOWN WITH THE HATE; WE DON'T WANT A FIGHT!"

Post by Kenny O'Hara and Skadi on Jul 7, 2019 11:08:43 GMT
To Michael's pleasant surprise, the furry seal turned to him and smiled when he introduced himself to her, as she introduced herself as Cassie and handed a huge flipper for him to shake, which he willingly did. It felt like shaking hands with a really fluffy puppy post-hairdryer, "My name's Michael O'Hara. It's really nice to meet you too, Cassie." He grinned.
Ramona would also be pleased to know she was receiving quite the warm reception from the Gomamon-X as well, as she happily shook her flipper too. After she let go of the Gomamon-X's flipper, she gave her a friendly look (being a Wormmon, it was kind of hard to actually visibly smile properly), "Cassie. What a befitting name for such a sweet looking fellow. I like." She complimented.
As for Kenny and Skadi, while the Nise Agumon Hakase did wave back, he did look a little awkward and upset. And Kenny couldn't blame him; he had issues with social situations when he was just a wee lad himself. "Are you OK?" He asked the navy blue dinosaur as Skadi looked at him sympathetically. Ophelia would then offer to help find his friends, while the tamer/Digimon duo nodded. Ophelia said everything needed to be said, but it was clear they were willing to help him.
And right on cue, just like Ophelia did, the duo turned around to the sound of the voice calling out her 'attack' and apparitions of powerful looking Digimon appearing in the sky. Then the perpetrator, which Skadi had recognised as Archnemon, stood on top of a building. No ordinary human was capable of pulling that off. As the mistress started her speech, Kenny quickly pulled out his D-Nexus to scan the Digimon, not wanting to make a fuss.
Then the Archnemon mentioned DATS wanted to commit genocide. "...genocide?" Kenny whispered while subtly glancing at the woman that the crowd were looking at. As far as he knew, DATS just wanted to separate both worlds permanently, but nobody said anything about genocide until now. Skadi looked a little shocked too, not sure what to say as some of the other Digimon, including the Agumon, call out DATS for what they supposedly did. And as the Agumon threatened the supposed DATS member, Kenny just stood back a bit in fear, while Skadi stood in front to protect her tamer. The last time he engaged with an aggressive Rookie, he nearly died. And lord knew that he didn't want to do that again anytime soon.
Luckily, Ophelia gave quite a good speech to the Agumon, calling him out for getting aggressive all of a sudden, while Kenny just breathed in and out to just stay calm, and Skadi stood guard, but smiling at Ophelia proudly. After her speech, Kenny just nodded to the Agumon. Once again, Ophelia made all the good points he could make for her. Skadi loosened up a little bit herself.
"She's right." The sheep added, "We really don't want anyone to get hurt today. If anything, we want humans and Digimon to work together. We want to achieve a brighter future together." She turned her head up to her partner to gesture to the Agumon, "Why else did I come to the real world to try and find myself an amazing tamer like him?" Kenny could only blush a little awkwardly and happily, feeling a fuzzy feeling in his stomach, as Skadi turned back to him, "Because I wanted to prove we can work together. I wanted to prove that we could do great things together. And we managed to do a lot of great things together. We expanded our horizons, we fought and won against evil quite a few times, we managed to impress a teacher. And, we're constantly getting stronger. All we're saying is, please don't escalate this. I don't want to hurt you. We don't want to hurt you. Please, just listen to us." By this time, small tears were starting to stream down her eyes, but she stood strong.
As for Michael and Ramona, the Archanemon's vicious, poisonous speech, and the aggressive threats of the Digimon started to make the man worry for the safety of his son. He remembered he couldn't be there for his wife the night of the crash. Was his son going to be next? He looked over, seeing Skadi stand guard to a clearly worried Kenny, and Ophelia telling off the dinosaur. Ramona just glared angrily at the Demon Beast Digimon from above. Even if she did have a point, there were much better ways of doing it than barging in and loudly getting her cronies to threaten their opposition. Neither noticed until it was too late that Cassie had now pushed past them and began to make her speech.
"Maybe try saying 'excuse me' next time?" She whispered to herself, trying to keep her cool. But still, she listened to the speech willingly. Damn that seal had a lot of vigour for someone that looked so small and cuddly. She nodded to a fair few people and Digimon near her, as if to say 'yes, she's right, everybody shut up and listen to her'. Because hot damn, she had to admit. She couldn't have said it better herself. Nevertheless, when Cassie started the chant, she willingly joined in, often nudging the odd passerby to join in if they weren't already chanting.
Michael on the other hand, could not keep calm. There was a very likely possibility, at least to him, the speech would not work, and the Digimon would go on a rampage regardless. He did not want to outlive his son. He had to trudge through the crowd, hoping to try and get him out. Whenever or not the chant had occurred or not, he certainly did not join in. Instead, a mantra started to echo in his own head, 'where's my son'. He was determined to find him, and if things had gone wrong, he would try and get his son out as soon as he could.
Back to Kenny and Skadi. They stood there and listened to Cassie's speech willingly. They took in every word they could that Cassie could get out. Kenny could feel his muscles tensing less and less and Skadi started to feel a little relaxed too. She wiped away a few of her tears as Cassie went on and on. For being something looking so small and tranquil, she had a loud, and proud voice that was even starting to get Kenny misty eyed. And as soon as Cassie started her chant, and Ophelia had verbally nudged the Agumon to get him to join in, before chanting herself, the human and his Digimon just looked to each other and nodded, before clenching their fists, and joining in on Cassie's chant as well:
"DROWN OUT THE HATE; WE'RE NOT HERE TO FIGHT!
DOWN WITH THE HATE; WE DON'T WANT A FIGHT!"
Kenny uses the Improved Scanner on Archnemon to learn more about her at the beginning of her rooftop speech.
Improved Scanner: An improved scanner that subtly displays a Digimon's combat information on your screen. If given a post to clearly scan a Digimon, you learn their name, attribute, type, and family, along with a quick description and two of their signature moves.

"Roger, Pilot, good work. Please tell them to not act hostile to the target, over," Yuuki's voice would rang on the D-Nexus transmission. His eyes are still on the Soulmon but something caught his eyes at the moment... A movement of an agent. Trouble seem to brew more and more and he felt this might be the chance after all for the ringleader to attack. He need to move quick.
Meanwhile, on Hikaru... he's ignored. Hmmmm, well ain't that lovely? Awkward guy, huh? Suddenly, Hikaru saw a flash of white. Haku the Samogaomon immediately approached his father.
"Pops, lemme handle this one... I'm not a psychiatrist, but a doctor is a doctor and--"
Yeah, at that point, that happened. A systematic attack, huh... Thankfully Yuuki and Hikaru already expecting this. Hikaru was ready to shut the Soulmon with his countertalk, but was stopped by echoes of chant from somewhere... is that... is that Cassie? Hikaru is visibly impressed by her act. Such a gallantry... Well, as the team leader, he better not disappoint.
"Haku, I'll leave the situation here on you. I'm guessing Yuuki will move toward the ringleader now."
"Roger that, just leave it to me."
Now, where are they? Oh right... Haku faced the Soulmon.
"Mate, how about a Digimon-to-Digimon talk? You don't have to worry, I'm not here to cause any problem, nor I'm here to arrest you. I'm a simple doctor, you see... ah doctor-in-training I mean. Name's Haku by the way, short of Hakuoro. Either way, let's talk a bit, please?"
Haku would wait for the answer. If he said yes, he would began the questioning.
"...So, I don't believe this haven't been a set up before... What... caused you to want to execute it? You don't look like you hate humans, mate. It felt like you have some unspoken past. What causes you wanted to attack the human world's official? You hear 'em... you hear the chants... you can't be deaf to not hear that. They're here in peace... they don't want trouble, and seriously? Genocide is a really serious accusation. Tell us your story."
Meanwhile, Yuuki and Hikaru already approaching the Agent. The youth discarded his cap away while his partner resumed his show, dancing with ice particles surrounding him and playing music on his harmonica.
"Agent, daring a Digimon to attack is unwise. Please do not readily toss your life like that to fire. It's against any of our desire for blood to be spilled tonight, be it from human or Digimon... and that includes the provocateurs today" Yuuki commented. "My name is Itou Yuuki, I'm here to ask you to please trust us and let us offer you our help to diffuse the situation.
At this point, few of my trusted friends are close to points of where the other three Digimons are spotted. Unfortunately we don't have enough personnel for the fourth, but its seem that someone is talking to them too."
Hikaru momentarily stopped his dance and tipped his fedora to Arachnemon.
"Hello and good evening, madam. How are you doing? I believe that we're all a bit tense at the moment...but hey! For the meantime, why don't you tune in to that chant? Quite lovely isn't it? We're not here to fight, we don't want to fight they said... I don't want that either. I'll ensure everything in my strength to make sure that nothing of sort will happen in here tonight."
Yuuki stepped forward. "Agent, I'll be crossing my authority as civilian in this case, but I beg your pardon. Everything I say from this moment on will sound like a meddling teen, but I ensure you... none in my heart I wish to escalate this."
He then faced the Arachnemon, ready to say his point. But before anything, he suddenly tossed his D-Nexus to Hikaru, who nimbly caught it. That's his sign that he really doesn't want to fight. With that not on his person, he won't be able to evolve his partner.
"Well, then... Miss, what Digimon are you I have no idea, but I roughly guessed that you do not wish for any harm to befall on innocents, am I right? I know my fair share of anarchist, ones who wish to create chaos. You don't want that. You only attacked the agents, and not any other human or Digimon. Based on your wording about genocide, whether it's truth or you believe it's truth but actually not... you have some beef with DATS, don't you?
You wish to paint DATS as the bad guy over here... but what for? Tell us what sort of mistreatment they done to you. You don't have to attack. Everyone is all ears in this... and if you use violence more than that 'greeting' you did back then... you would drag everyone else in your scheme...
Do you really want that? Do you want to paint everything that these Digimon in here stands for into a bleak history, repeating the destruction of this entertainment district once more? Why not use this as chance to say your piece, and get your closure? There's no reason for you to start a fight when a better alternative is presented. Please. We can end this night with best scenario possible."

"Kizna job, not a doctor quite yet Uncle."
Holly gave Gio a small smile and watched him go after a moment. Though once she and her uncle got upstairs to the roof well...
Holly was quick to inform her uncle what was going on, she wasn't going to lie to him about the reason for her being in the human world. In fact this was her first time that she ever had been in it and it was on a job no less! The disguised digimon turned her head to her uncle when he told her that he had cards but just didn't have the application for it.
"It's all right. Cards are generally useful no matter who they go on."
Holly kept her eyes on the street, lightly biting her lip as things progressed. The idea that there was going to be a fight in a crowded street didn't speak well to her and the meicoomon gripped the 'edge' of the building.
"Too many people will draw attention, one or two people up here is enough. The non-fighters will run the moment something goes south. They always do. I'd love to get more people out of the way but that could make the situation get worse before making it get better.. Speaking of..."
Then of course there was that spirit needle use that drew the attention of everyone here. The vague appearance of perfect level digimon, ten of which. More than what they had on hand. The disguised digimon drew closer to the edge, ready to jump off if things went crazy.
Then of course they bombarded people with statements, accusations and then there were others that leapt to the defense of this Archnemon. The way that they went about this told her that this was staged. Holly turned her head to carlos, tapping at her D-nexus to indicate that he should get ready.
Everyone had words for this event, Mae who seemed to pop up wherever the meicoomon went, Ophelia and her friend cassie started a chant as well as having some wonderful words to share with the hate central digimon, following suit? Well there was that sheep, skadi she thought the name was and their tamer Kenny. Two people that she had never met but saw the names of on the Kizna docket.
Four people chanting the same message.
Then yuuki asking her to tell carlos not to act hostile, she'd turn to face her uncle, gritting her teeth just a wee bit. There was nothing they could do in this sort of placement to share that message with his mons. They'd act accordingly if need be and if a fight ensued she'd back them up. She'd put a hand to her earpiece and speak over the com system.
"The tamer is aware of the situation, My uncle's Dio and Gio are down there. They'll act accordingly if need be. I don't think they'll start a fight but they'll darned well finish it."
The meicoomon leaned further over the edge, keeping a sporting grin on her face and simply looking the part of an intrigued observer ready to dive into action. She could see the positions of everyone and the moment trouble reared up well... She'd send in her clones to support everyone while also making sure to keep at least one of her uncles safe up on high.
Darn it ma, what would you do in this situation?

Well, in the end it seemed that Holly had been on the right track to look for any suspicious activity, and indeed they were right to distrust all the out of place champion and above digimon that had just appeared (including the Golemon the twins had approached), all led by an Archnemon that was...less than thrilled about DATS, to put it mildly.
With such things as threats and accusations of freaking genocide...well it obviously didn't take more than a couple seconds for the entire mood of the whole crowd to change, and not for the better. What had been once a joyous ocassion had suddenly turned south really fast, tension rising in the air as hostility after hostility came from out of the mouth of Archnemon and her followers.
"Tch, you have got to be kidding me..." Dio bit his lip, glancing around as he took note of every other digimon that very vocally agreed with this pseudo declaration of war. Around four of them answered to the call with equally angry shouts, and all of them looked just as eager to start a fight.
Needless to say, this was something Dio most certainly did not want, and for once he ignored every instinct urging him to take the first shot and tried a different strategy for a change: diplomacy.
"Can't say I know the reasons behind any of your leaders' claims, for all I know she's telling the truth...but is fighting an Agent in the middle of a crowd of civilians really the way to go about it? If you guys take that step, then you're no better than these DATS buffoons." The imp said to the Golemon as he pointed with his thumb at the agent and her partner, loudly groaning at her attempt for a comeback, or perhaps was it just a threat? Regardless it wasn't exactly helping her case!
And then...something odd happened...from out of the so far seemingly quiet and scared crowd a voice cried out, a message loud and clear despite coming from such a small digimon, a Gomamon X practically demanding for one simple thing: peace. Her words carried such weight and power that both twins could only hear in silent...admiration? Stupor? Whatever the case they couldn't have agreed with her more. As if to drive the point even further, she would begin to chant in protest, and surprisingly more and more voices would join in to her chanting. Including that of a certain blackguilmon.
"Yeah! DROWN OUT THE HATE; WE'RE NOT HERE TO FIGHT! DOWN WITH THE HATE; WE DON'T WANT A FIGHT!"
Did Gio agree wholeheartedly with the message of the chant? Or was he simply following the crowd? That was something not even the blackguilmon seemed to know, and frankly he didn't care. He just kept chanting, louder and louder, every so often nudging his brother to join in. Was Dio going to do so? Maybe...if he had had a drink before hand! Otherwise he wasn't exactly too fond of singing or chanting in general, but he did turn back to face the Golemon.
"You hear that? Listen to them go. All that they want, scratch that what we want is peace. Fighting here today will accomplish nothing and benefit nobody, specially not Digimon." He was trying to be reasonable, he was trying to be civil, but for all intents and purposes deep down Dio knew it was an act, at least for him. Something told him these digimon wouldn't leave quietly, no matter how much they tried, and if that was the case he was ready to fight. Best case scenario they would at least let the humans leave the premises before attacking,
"We have all made our choice: what will yours be?"
As for Carlos? Well, he couldn't do much than look on from his relatively safe spot in the rooftop alongside Holly, overlooking the scene and hoping that if a fight were to break out that his partners would know what to do. He gave Holly a single nod as he clutched his digivice, ready if things went south.
"Fair enough. Can I at least ask you to give your other uncles a hand if they need it?"

From behind the sunglasses that both Archnemon and Agent Tiger wore, they were both stunned by the effect of the intervention. And Archnemon's supposed allies in all this didn't seem to know what to do here either. As far as they had been told, their aim here was to shame DATS and sow discord in the human world about how they deal with digimon, but... others had intervened. Digimon, tamers, clearly those that knew more than enough to cause them to pause on their intentions of provoking violence.
Buraimon was the first to hesitate. "I... don't want to hurt the innocent." was all he said to Mae, his hand still on the grip of his sword, but he couldn't bring himself to draw it.
What happened next was so effective that all of the provocateurs, even Archnemon questioned their actions here this night. The tamers and their ally digimon pointed out to them just how futile their intended strategy would be. Archnemon for one was very taken aback. She had been banking the success of this operation on DATS wielding their arrogance as they had done before and prove her right with trying to put them down with violence, which they would gladly reciprocate. But... this... she honestly didn't know how to deal with this for the time being.
Not only did those gathered speak sense, they also convinced most of the intended group gathered that to act out in violence now would be against the interest of everyone, to do so would be just downright evil. And all at once, they realized that none of them wanted that.
Agent Tiger and Jiro were surprised too. From their experience at Scramble Crossing earlier, they thought this too would descend into violence. But... it didn't. Then Cassie made her speech. All listened. Tiger was at first determined to make it irrelevant in her mind, but... as she continued, Tiger found that she had no logical counter to that. Yes, it was her job to try and contain digimon, to protect the population from them, but... a digimon giving this kind of speech... it moved her. As an agent she had been trained to treat them as dangerous animals, even Jiro, well, at least while they were on duty, but, hearing Cassie speak like this, it was like hearing Jiro in moments where they knew they were alone. It would be wrong to treat such individuals as animals if they had this much intellect, this much conscious thought.
On the part of Agent Tiger, she was aware of where she was now. Nobody had launched an attack yet in anger, nobody had made threatening words. The entertainment district was still crowded, but, there was a sense of hopefulness in the assembled group that this could be solved peacefully.
Then the chanting started. This was mildly annoying to her, but, hearing it so loud made the other provocateurs - Buraimon, Golemon, Soulmon, Nise Agumon Hakase, and the others that may or may not be assembled there, it drained them of their will to fight.
Then Skadi spoke to Nise Agumon. As she did so, he felt like he wanted to respond. "D-do you think... the same can happen for me?" he asked. "I... I wanted to learn more from the human world, I tried to come here in peace, but... DATS captured and hurt me... I thought tonight would be our chance to hit back at them, but... I don't know what to think now."
Soulmon then regarded Haku, having reduced his hostility since hearing all this. The Soulmon lowered his head so that his eyes were blocked by the brim of his hat. "DATS were ruthless..." he answered. "They came into my village wanting answers. None of us could, or were willing to provide. Then... they started killing digimon. It... was of no consequence to them, in their mind, we'd all just end up in the Village of Beginnings. They almost got me... but, I faked being dead, and I survived and I remember it."
Golemon showed a similar reaction to Dio, shifting uncomfortably. "DATS did something like that when they were in the Ancient Ruins..." he began. "I only got through it by camouflage... I... don't want to do that to others..."
Then, Agent Tiger was approached by Yuuki and Hikaru. Yuuki pointed out the mistake that she made. Tiger took a deep breath to regain her composure, then nodded. "I know, I panicked, I was uncertain of what kind of backup I'd receive here, so I called her bluff. Dubious move, yes. But if I can rely on you to help here, I'd be glad."
Then he introduced himself, "Itou Yuuki". All Agent Tiger knew of that name was from one of Agent Machine's reports, and he had named him as "No threat."
As this was happening, Hikaru approached Archnemon, who regarded the Dorumon in silence for a moment. Meanwhile Yuuki spoke to Agent Tiger further, convincing her that his intentions were good.
"Go ahead." she said, realizing there was little she could contribute to this. Clearly the provocateurs' beef was with DATS, so for now, she trusted that this group of tamer-digimon strangers could diffuse the situation.
Then Hikaru asked Archnemon what DATS had done to her. With that, she erupted into what she thought was justified anger.
"You ask what DATS has done to me and my fellow digimon?!" she asked. This time she spoke differently. Before she was clearly putting it up for show, but now, genuine anger was rolling from her lips. "What endless horrors you humans have brought upon my world since you discovered it and tried to control it?! The DATS that I remember stormed into our world in retribution for incidents that happened here. They saw digimon as immortal, so they didn't care when they came across an innocent digimon and destroyed them, knowing that they never truly died, that it wasn't technically murder, that all would be right at the Village of Beginnings... with that mindset, can you even begin to imagine the cruelty they inflicted upon us digimon?!"
Archnemon paced around the rooftop, her voice lashing the air like a whip, making her fellow provocateur digimon tense up and make their faces harden as they remembered why they were here. "Hundreds, thousands of digimon... tortured, murdered, deprived of control of their own bodies... the sins of DATS is like nothing you humans can comprehend! DATS seeks to enact total control of digimon on this world, do you deny it?!" Archnemon snapped at Agent Tiger.
"...I can't deny it." Tiger responded, her head lowered in shame. "That's my task as a DATS Agent." Jiro looked like he wanted to object here, but words couldn't come to his lips, so he just made a low growl.
"And you seek to encroach on our world to do the same to prevent any possibility of us digimon revealing our "inconvenient existence" to your paranoid, ignorant population, correct?!" Archnemon continued.
"That is NOT TRUE!" Tiger snarled in response. "This iteration of DATS has nothing to do with the previous one! Our mission has only to do with Tokyo. What happens in the digital world is none of our business!"
"And what will you do to digimon here that refuse to leave? Kill them too and send them back to the village of beginnings?!" Archnemon argued in response. "What if we digimon decide to do the same to you humans that enter our world?!"
Agent Tiger wished she could deny that too, but, that was the established fate of rebel digimon that refused to leave Earth, as told by the new director of DATS. She bared her teeth in a pained expression, hoping that the monitors of this dispute could help like they had before.
The results of Kenny's improved scanner on Archnemon:
Digimon name: Archnemon Level: Perfect Attribute: Virus Families: Jungle Troopers, Nightmare Soldiers Type: Demon Beast
Abilities revealed:
Spider Thread - Launches sticky spider silk from both of her hands, targeting up to 2 enemies, wrapping them in a spider web that immobilizes them for 1 turn. [Cooldown: 3 turns]
Acid Mist - Conjures a cloud of acidic green venom that causes corrosive poisonous damage to all standing within 30 metres of her. [Cooldown: 1 turn]

...Did Mae just witness the formation of a cult? No, no, this was far from that. This was...something else entirely. She briefly drew her attention away from Buraimon as Cassie started the chanting of a goddamn lifetime. There had only been silence from her as this all unfolded.
Could this day really end without a fight, or was such a thing doomed from the getgo? The foresight that the Fatebreaker had been 'blessed' with was eerily quiet. The Archnemon's outburst prompted Mae to slowly turn towards Buraimon. "...Did they ever do anything like what she's saying to you? As...morally dubious as the previous DATS' actions may have been, this iteration's sole purpose is to keep the human world safe. The Digital World's outside of their jurisdiction anyway..."
She took a deep breath, then exhaled. "...What I'm trying to say is...at least trust in the intent that this DATS holds. I'm sure they know of the tarnished reputation that the previous one have and...would want to improve it. Please, just...stay your blade..."

What the hell, what the fuck? Why is DATS doing invasion to Digital World? Even the normally well behaved Haku started cursing in his head. What on earth is this? Haku tried to gauge whether the Soulmon is saying the truth or not, but as far as he knows, there are no benefit of him lying… He quickly looked at where Hikaru is.
“POPS, ARE WHAT THEY SAYING TRUE!?”
“I can’t ascertain that to 100%…” honestly, those who are here, he felt they’re not as experienced as he is… their career in things related to Digimon probably about a year or so, not when DATS are involved… therefore, he… probably the only one who heard what happened to people at that age huh…
“...There were rumors… how true or false I have no idea, but back then we treated DATS as something akin to Grim Reaper. Talk of the humans and Digimons back then was how to avoid these people, and retain your own free will. They have anti-holosuit, they somehow ignore the Digital Jammer, and you’re more likely to be approached by Digimon if you’re a chosen or a Digimon in Real World. Simply speaking… they’re ruthless and aggressive.
The biggest offense I have heard that they have done is apparently… they brainwashed Digimon and Human alike. No one can even tell they’re brainwashed, but apparently from there on they become some sort of DATS sleeper agent. When I was first active as a partnered Digimon, DATS was the only active team… It was that bad.”
There’s… a feeling of dread in Yuuki. Seriously? Is what Hikaru said were all true? Even then, he won’t let those feelings show on his face. He need to approach this carefully. This will definitely paint DATS as the culprit if he doesn’t steer it quickly, and the provocateurs would be so happy that they won… Well, he doesn’t care about DATS credibility, or the government, but he don’t want this to turn into the end of Japan’s autonomy.
“I see, if what my partner said were true, then I can totally understand where your righteous anger came from. But even then, doing your revenge on the current DATS is like barking on the wrong tree, Miss. DATS was disbanded because humanitarian issue, isn’t this right, Hikaru?”
“There’s not much I know about it, but I’m guessing that’s how it is. They brainwashed human and Digimon. Sure that some human can just look away when it happened to Digimon, but when it happened to humans? That’s just beyond messed up for them.
Even without those, you’re not alone in your hated toward old DATS. I have a friend… Her death was caused by DATS member, indirectly. They tried to play hero but ended up pulling ire of something stronger than they are, and they ran with their tail between their legs, leaving newbies to fend for themselves!
But you know what? Why does my partner thinks you’re barking at the wrong tree? If they really want to reinstate DATS in the same manner as the previous one, with brainwashing, humanitarian issue and Digimon genocide, they wouldn’t choose new agents. They don’t have to explain anything to the mass. They would just go with their plan, thus they would have picked back the old DATS member. They’re frankly more experienced than this lady here, more experienced than me… but with tons of flaws, one among them is clear:
they’re definitely far more reckless
I think considering how apparently they’re culprit behind some site destruction, it makes sense why on earth they won’t get chosen back. The former DATS is simply a trainwreck that does not know the meaning of ‘holding back’. They have lost their sight of what to protect, and treated everything else but them as debris. I believe new DATS is not so, however. For one, wouldn’t you agree that Mrs. Agent here didn’t evolve her Digimon to Perfect Stage? Isn’t that a first step? She lost her cool, and if it happened to old DATS, wouldn’t you say that they would immediately do something really drastic?
...Also, as much as I’m disheartened to say this but… I’m also against the complete reveal of Digimon to public--because we believe that it’ll only bring misfortune to us.”
This time Yuuki took the reins. “Miss… Digimons are combat species, surely you know this? Even at child stage, Digimon can easily fight against human… the perception of people who knew about Digimon but not chosen is usually torn in ‘Digimons are dangerous creature’. The public usually would say that… but the government? I think war-loving countries who wanted complete domination over other countries would weaponize Digimon if they knew Digimon exist…
What DATS doing at the moment, to return you by force is indeed wrong… but… If your existence is leaked to the international world, then not only Japan, but also Digital World is in danger. If that happened, then there will be no peace for us…”
“We understand that you want equality… we also want that. I also want to walk in the real world, free, like it’s just so natural and part of my rights, without holosuit, without any sort of mental baggage that I might be doing something illegal… but that sort of world has yet realized. But should it stay that way? I don’t believe so. As technology became more and more advanced, a neutral ground for human and Digimon will be surely made, I believe it…”
“For the meantime, however, we’ll focus on mending what can be mended. We know that we will never be able to erase the crime our fellow humans did… but if you could give us a chance to prove that not all humans are the same as the loathsome DATS of old…”
Yuuki finally revealed his badge and pressed the gem on the center. The blue light from the silverish blue badge enveloped him. The next moment, he stood in his KIZNA uniform, black with golden accent, reminiscent to Hikaru’s Ultimate form, Alphamon.
“Then we KIZNA, will work hard to answer your expectations,” the human declared, saluting at the Digimon.

If Cassie was going to be honest, she didn't actually expect so many digimon and humans alike to join in, initially. Certainly, she expected that some of her friends might, and she expected that some of the other performing digimon might; and she was ready to keep performing for as long as she could, even if only a few others joined in! Yet...
She would quickly notice how most of the assembled digimon - more than she had initially thought - were joining in the chanting, the call for peace. And some of the humans in the assembled crowds were joining in the chants, too! This visibly emboldened Cassie, and encouraged her to keep the chant going; to try and encourage others to join in, calling to them with bright and happy smiles. "C'mon; if we all stand together, then we have nothing to fear! Keep it going, we'll give the humans a performance they'll remember with smiles, and we'll all go home happy once everything's settled!" And all the while, when she wasn’t calling to the others, she would be chanting with the digimon and humans that she’d rallied together - being more than ready to show everyone that they weren’t about to condone any fighting.
Ophelia, meanwhilst, would listen; both to the Nise Agumon Hakase, and to Yuuki and Hikaru over the D-Nexus, as they talked about DATS - about both the old DATS and its sins, and the new. And also about how Hikaru and Yuuki both disagreed with the idea of introducing digimon to the general populace. Personally, Ophelia was unsure of where she stood on that notion - on the idea that digimon could be weaponized by humans, in particular; it seemed like it'd be rather hard for someone to force a digimon to fight, if that's what he was implying. Yet... There, indeed, was the danger that digimon inherently held. There were problems that came with possibly introducing humans to the Digital World too, she realized; thinking back to that trainride with Ryouta, Valt, and Amethyst as they had discussed it long ago.
But, still - she'd turn her attention back to the Agumon before she'd let her thoughts get ahead of her, scratching the back of her head a bit as she thought. "Shit's going to take time, I can't promise immediate results, but... I'm sure there's a human out there waiting to be your partner, if you take the time to look." Ophelia would muse out loud; continuing "But as for you guys and your bad blood with DATS... I understand that they hurt you guys; but from what I understand, there's two iterations of DATS. There's the old DATS that hurt digimon, and sometimes even other people, and all-around caused trouble... But there's also the new DATS that we have now, who just want to keep the peace, and keep digimon a secret. I highly doubt that this DATS is going to hurt ya at all, that agent's probably just going to ask us to leave once shit's calmed down some, as long as noone starts a fight. If you guys start a fight now, all you're going to do is scare people - and even if this was the old and bad DATS, all you guys would've accomplished is pissing DATS off; hurting a single agent would've only given them justification to hit you guys back harder."
Though, as she spoke, Ophelia would pause for a second - thinking it over, and... It all actually began to click; the Agumon's anxiety, the fact that everyone in this group had been hurt by DATS in some way... Glancing down to the Agumon, Ophelia would remain quiet for a second longer, before... "... Though, what you've been through - it must've been pretty scary, huh...?" She'd ask - her voice and expression softening noticeably. "... I'm just going out on a limb here, so feel free to correct me, but... I'm guessing you guys are just here, because you were scared of DATS hurting others, yeah..? Because you guys are scared of a possible repeat happening either to yourselves, or the other digimon gathered here?"
Ophelia would crouch down to the Agumon's level, extending a hand in a friendly, peaceful gesture; and gently squeezing the Agumon's claw if he held her hand. "... It's okay if you guys are scared; but there's nothing to be afraid of, okay?" She'd murmur - her tone taking on an almost motherly tone, the same tone that she'd use to reassure her siblings. "I'm sure the agent here isn’t looking for a fight, or to hurt anyone, like I said before; and... Even if she does start a fight or if one of the digimon here start a fight, I'm here, okay? Me and Skadi both, if something does happen, we’ll be more than happy to help protect you, to protect everyone - humans and digimon alike - as long as you guys calm down and don't try to start a fight, okay? It’s just going to cause chaos, which'll make it harder for us to help, and it'll become a self-fulfilling if you guys try to instigate something."
Ophelia would deactivate her holosuit - revealing her true Spadamon form - and would open her arms to offer the Agumon a hug. If the Agumon accepted, she would firmly embrace him - purring softly, reassuringly, like she would to reassure her siblings; a hand gently stroking over his shoulder, and her gently nuzzling him. Regardless of whether or not the Agumon would accept the hug, though, Ophelia would reach into her pouch to take out her badge, to show it to him - mentioning "Me and Skadi aren't the only ones here; we've got a bunch of friends here who want to see everyone leave here safe, happy, and healthy - just as much as you and your friends do - and we'll protect everyone if a fight does break out. All I ask is that if it does happen, that you guys calm down and leave any fighting to us. Okay?" She'd offer him a warm smile, pinning the badge to her bandanna proper as she did, before (assuming that the hug was accepted) she would return to snuggling and comforting the Agumon, coaxing the both of them to sit down so that she could properly snuggle.

As Cassie proceeded to continue the chant and egg everyone on, Ramona still watched and chanted, while Michael still tried to get through the crowd, trying to find his son. As he looked around however, and the chanting progressed, nothing bad had broken out - yet. He started to feel a little bit of relief that his son wasn't in any immediate danger, but not enough to completely put him at ease just yet. He opted to err on the side of caution.
Like with Ophelia, Kenny had been listening to the DATS talk as well. And just as well, because his heart started to race a bit faster after the scan. For a multitude of reasons, Archnemon was dangerous to deal with, and if anything, he hoped that a peaceful resolution would come, lest his dad get caught in the aforementioned crossfire. After Hikaru finished his speech, he quickly whispered into the D-Nexus, "Guys, I don't want to alarm you, but Archnemon can potentially spread corrosive venom everywhere. Just, be on the lookout, just in case all hell breaks loose."
But what about widespread revealing Digimon to humans and vice versa? Certainly, as he learnt the hard way, Digimon and humans could both be extremely awful. Arkadimon was the first to come to mind, having nearly killed him and taking immense pleasure in his suffering. But Arkadimon was basically a wild animal with a shred of sentience, following it's own free will. Imagine if somebody got that thing on a leash.
It was getting clear, however, that Nise Agumon Hakase was apparently, more like a small, scared child who just needed some help, a warm hug, and probably a warm glass of milk and cookies to go along with it. As the maroon dinosaur asked if he himself could find a good opportunity like she did, Skadi simply nodded at him with a optimistic smile. There was no hint of sarcasm or malice as she did. And slowly, she lowered her guard as he continued to explain why he was here, and briefly about his now-conflicted feelings.
It was then Ophelia took over at this point with her own speech; it sounded so warm and comforting, and yet at the same time, truthful and aware. There was literally nothing Kenny and Skadi could add onto the speech, other than nodding to show that they agreed with her. They really didn't want all hell to break loose. And when Ophelia bent down for the friendly gesture and continuing her speech, Kenny could start to feel tears of joy welling up a bit. He was trying his hardest not to cry, but it was nigh-impossible. Skadi just wringed her arms and smiled happily; to them, Opehlia was practically knocking it out of the park at this point.
And when Ophelia deactivated her holosuit and offered the Agumon a hug, instinctively, Skadi would also try and join in, indiscriminately trying to throw her arms over the two other Rookie Digimon as well. Whenever the hug occurred or not, Skadi nodded again as Ophelia added onto her speech and smiled at him with a friendly grin. She really didn't want a fight to break out either, and she wanted nothing more than for this to be a good day today. And just like that, if Ophelia managed to return to the snuggle, then Skadi would join her too.
All the while, Kenny was still trying to fight back tears. But then he felt a thought go off in his head; maybe he could at least contribute himself? He retrieved the KIZNA badge from his pocket and pinned it onto his shirt, before pulling out the Infini-Store and taking out one of the rice balls. Leaning down himself, he would try to tap the Nise Agumon Hakase on the shoulder. If he turned around, he would also notice the exact same badge Ophelia also just so happened to wear. "See, we're not gonna hurt you, pal. Besides, I brought you some lunch. It's chicken schnitzel, and it's very delicious. It's on the house, if you want it." He told him as he also smiling reassuringly; while he did feel a little nervous about Archnemon still, if anything, he could basically be proof to the tiny maroon T-rex that there were such things as friendly humans.

Holly leaned on her arms, staring down at the mass of people that were interacting here. There was so much to keep trackc of, the meicoomon could well... barely keep track of it all. The chanting, the digimon, the varied reactions. It was headache inducing, the will to fight was obviously draining from those that came here to start one. She felt the muscle tension in her back ease out and the meicoomon visibly deflated a bit as the breath that she was unintentionally holding eased out.
"Seems a fight won't be needed..."
Holly shifted a bit, tugging on her gloved hand a bit. She considered briefly what this would mean for this gathering, a group of mons coming to fight only to find themselves in a place that bore them no ill will. What would her mother do in this venue? What would her sister? Her father? Her varied relatives that she barely knew? The disguised digimon mulled about it and ran her hands across the edge of the building. She'd turn her head to carlos and gave a small, somewhat tired smile.
"Without a doubt uncle. I suppose in my readiness to fight I wasn't... expecting a peaceful resolution to all of this. I think though that in scope of things there have been enough fighting all across the worlds."
Her head turned back to the mon's in question. Nise Agumon, Soulmon, Golemmon, Buraimon. People that had been used in some fashion or another, people that harbored hatred towards those within the institution of DATS. Just what history did the organization have that drove them to do this? To a group that was wishing for peace? The meicoomon tapped her chin thoughtfully and mulled this particular spectrum of thoughts over. She'd bring her hand up to her earpiece, tapping the 'push to talk' button for a moemnt.
"I think that we should at worst move these few to a safe location away from the others here; with the fight drained out of them they'll see reason and likely will be willing to work with us or DATS. Maybe both. This is a good step towards peace."
Holly let her finger off of the push to talk, that was something that her mother would do. That her father would approve of, that her sister would of wanted of her. She had to think about things not in the mind of an assassin but that of a Doctor wanting to heal those that came under her care. Her eyes softened a bit as she watched the Archnemon speak.
Then of course came the questions that the lead digimon poised, the history that she thrust upon them all. Tiger pushing a fact aside from them all, able to at least control a little bit of the onslaught. The meicoomon looked down at her hands, they were shaking and she'd grip them tightly together. Snarling in irritation she almost found herself jumping up onto the side of the building but the others had what they wanted to say. The meicoomon's body shaking in anger. Shaking in frustration, she felt the wanting, the need to speak up and she felt is rise through her body until she couldn't stop herself.
She lept up to the side of the building pointing up to the Archnemon, her eyes blazing with a righteous fury that she felt well up from the depths of her core. Her voice firm, loud, and unwavering.
"What horrors and hatred that was bore by those that came from before is nothing compared to the future of hatred and the cycle that you're wanting to bring forward! What do you think would happen if you brought bloodshed here into the very homes, the very place that we have sued for peace in such a time! In this age that we're fighting together but so separate you wish to push us further apart? You question what they would do knowing the pain and the promises they've made to their own! What would you do if your own homes were invaded? Were your place of life threatened? You'd fight all the same! But yet you act that of the victim when you are instead acting that of the instigator!"
The meicoomon snapped her fingers, the holosuit fading away and that form rendering itself into view. She'd thump her chest , her voice carrying even louder now.
"So you listen to that chant, you see the chance in front of you. You can come with us to break through the new tomorrow we have in store for both worlds! Not just one. Who are we to stop the future from being the wonder that it can be?"
The meicoomon gripped her hands tightly and then stared at the agent, the one that would have to deal with the forward nature of everything here. From every person standing in this square; the meicoomon gritted her teeth and knew exactly what she wanted to say here. The burning passion in her eyes didn't fade, if anything they kicked up a notch.
"Thank you. If my mother was still alive she'd thank you too. She was a peacekeeper of her own right and she would approved what DATS was doing in some veins. But there are some things you can't control and some things that you need to learn. Those that came before and those that will come after us need guidance in the pain, need the guidance in the hate that we've been steeped in. You are what this world needs in such a time, but what you all are fighting for is something even greater than the today we're living in."

Slowly but surely the combined efforts of pacification were wearing the would be agressive digimon down, taking away their will to actually fight. Really, it was probably the best outcome they could be hoping for. Though it was clear all of them had a reason to be here, to seek revenge. The golemon was no exception
To this Gio stopped his chanting, tilting his head as he looked at the rocky digimon for a moment, unblinking eyes filled with...understanding? Sadness? Whatever the case the blackguilmon approached the tall golem and without a second thought wrapped his arms around his arm, about the only part of the Golemon's body that he could hug with his relatively smaller body. Not the most comfortable of hugs considering the cold and hard texture of the giant's body, but Gio didn't seem to mind much.
"It's ok, I'm sure you don't want that. You're not bad, just...scared." He reassured, looking up at the digimon with a smile. "You don't have to worry, we won't allow anything bad to happen to you guys or anyone else again." A bold claim? Possibly, but it was clear the Guilmon meant it.
Dio however seemed slightly less thrilled to get so physical with a stranger (and previously hostile) digimon, but didn't do much to stop his brother other than shake his head and sigh a bit. That said he did look at the hugged giant and nodded.
"What they did to you...to everyone else here is nothing short of unforgiveable, and if DATS wants to take the first shot yet again, I'll be glad to shoot 'em back." The impmon said, crossing his arms as he glanced for a moment at the agent, before looking back to the golemon. "...but if we can actually reach a less violent outcome today I know that'd be far better for everyone, both today and in the long run."
Unfortunately, it seemed their leader was not as easily swayed as her underlings, and continued making more inflated claims, and just being generally abrassive. She clearly was not leaving without a fight. But how well could that go if everyone else refused to fight?
"Hey, I know this is an odd question but...is there anything you can tell me about bossy lady up there? Like what she actually wants out of all of this."
Meanwhile on the rooftop the white haired man was just...almost speechless. What he expected to turn into a chaotic mess of a battle had turned into anything but, digimon and humans joining together in a call for peace. And judging by the way the "invading" digimon were reacting, it seemed to have worked.
"Yeah...not gonna lie I was not expecting this either." He replied to the holosuited cat, scratching his head with a look of honest to god bemusement.
Of course, the archnemon was not one to be so easily swayed as she carried on trying to defame the solitary DATS agent in the crowd. And her accusations seemed to hold at least some weight. If they wanted the peace talks to carry on they would have to deal with that somehow...which is exactly what Holly immediatelly did, even going as far as to turn off her holosuit mid speech. Carlos just stood silent, listening to every word uttered by his "niece", her anger, her bottled up frustrations venting out but also her determination as she refuted and countered every poisonous word the Archnemon sent out.
To witness the relatively young digimon speak with such heart and passion, yet still looking for a peaceful way out despite all the stress going on around and within her well...it moved him. It made Carlos feel as proud as if they were really blood related. And it was feeling that and wanting to show it to her, but also seeing her pain that the man walked up close to the cat and after kneeling next to her just...wrapped his hands around her small frame, giving her a tight hug.
"...I'm proud of you Holly." He'd whisper to the small feline, "And I'm sure your folks would be too." Really, what else could be said? There wasn't really much he could add to what his niece had just shared to the world. All he could really do was offer her his support the best way he knew how. Though he was just as quick to release the Meicoo from his grasp. If he could he would have kept on hugging her for longer, regardless of her complaints, but this wasn't really the best time for such sappy sentimentalities. Things could still go down at a moment's notice, so it was better not to let their guard down just yet.

Buraimon was hesitant to reply to Mae, since his reasons for fighting were much less noble than those already spoken, but, he felt compelled to answer regardless, given that these seemed to be an understanding group. He could tell by the matchup anyway that it probably wasn't worth fighting here, and especially not if the innocent would be at risk.
"When DATS was last active, I came to Earth with the intent of scouting them out." he replied. "I saw them as the enemy, so I entered Earth with my wife Aquilamon to find any information on them that I could and relay them back to the digimon that could fight them. However, they shot her down and when she was returned to the Village of Beginnings, she had no memory of me."
However, she spoke gently, so he gave a nod to her request. "I will. From what has been said so far, I see no need for bloodshed here."
Meanwhile with Hikaru, he was mentioning that the old DATS went as far as brainwashing. This made Agent Tiger incensed. "We use no such methods in our organization!" she insisted. "That is immoral and evil, we would never do such a thing!"
But would they though...? If they had such technology... no, that was something she wouldn't stand for. Removing someone's free will to control them, that was an unthinkable crime in her eyes.
Hikaru's reasoning continued, and it spelled a lot of logic for the digimon hearing. The bystanders, not so much, in fact, many of them were by now aware that this was probably not the safest place for them. The families quickly cleared out of the entertainment district first, leaving nobody behind but curious young adults, and of course, TV crews, that were still covering this footage, hoping their sound equipment was strong enough to carry on what was said here. Maybe something should be done about that if Hikaru was truly against digimon being revealed to the general public?
Nise Agumon Hakase listened to Ophelia, and she spoke true to his fears. He thought DATS had returned with the intent to hurt him as they had done before. These digimon... they were so kind. If only they had been there for him before, but... they were now. The black lizard digimon didn't want any more pain if it could be avoided. Ophelia then powered down her holosuit and offered a hug. Nise Agumon Hakase accepted it, sobbing a little as he realized that everything was probably going to be okay. DATS wasn't evil anymore, they wouldn't have to fight.
And to his surprise, Skadi joined in too, even offering him free food. "I'd really like that..." he said, wiping his eyes, giving a smile.
Even Golemon was surprised by the kindness given. "You mean that?" he asked. He then turned to the Impmon, who asked what he knew of her intentions. "She told us that DATS was active again, that there were going to be digimon here tonight. And that we'd have the chance to stop DATS from hurting us again, so we tagged along." he answered. "I don't know what else she wants though..."
Then Yuuki spoke with authority, that this was definitely the wrong way to go about her goals. Archnemon had come expecting to reveal to all the depravity of DATS, but, it seemed that her momentum had been lost. Bit by bit, her rights of indignation had been eroded to the point that if fighting broke out, it would only prove the enemy right. It seemed that she had misjudged the situation, that this new DATS was not the same as the old.
Archnemon turned to Holly and listened to her words. Then she felt her vigor rise again, the reason why she was here felt reinforced. "I do know what it's like to feel that." she said. "The reason why I am here is to ensure DATS will never be able to harm us like that again... at least without public knowledge. You speak presumptuously. But, it's not my say what happens here. That is for the DATS agent to say."
Then, it seemed all eyes were on Agent Tiger. Her expression was blank for a few moments as she processed all of this. Her orders... the reason she had joined DATS... the consequences of all possible actions... she trembled a little as the pressure began to get to her.
"Peace and cooperation..." she began, looking around at those present. "Do you honestly think I could face my superiors and tell them to accept full integration with digimon and still keep my job?!"
Her orders were clear. Protect civilians from digimon threats and contain the spread of digimon to the general public. "Do you expect us to do nothing while we let you children run off to your Neverland for endless glorious adventures with your digimon partners, each with the potential to erase a city?! All of you "tamers" here, have you even told your parents that you have digimon and have been to the digital world?! What would they do if they knew? How do you think they'd feel if you perished there and never returned?!"
"Ah, so you do intend to expel all digimon from this world then?" Archnemon asked, seizing the opportunity.
"I don't want it to come to that!" Agent Tiger spat.
"But it will happen if it does, correct?" Archnemon countered. Tiger didn't want to have to say it. She knew that if she failed in her mission, they'd simply replace her with someone that would do worse to the digimon here. Instead, she attempted to turn it back to Archnemon.
"What do you care about the digimon here on Earth anyway?" she asked. "We have no intentions to invade your world again!"
Archnemon gave a sly chuckle at that. "I don't particularly care. I merely relish the sight of the once mighty DATS being reduced to the spectacle in front of me. You must be feeling rather humiliated here, agent. Powerless to act other than to lash out. All because those here are singing songs of love and friendship. Why, reminds me of a foolish band of little humans that swore to thwart our resistance to their DATS allies with speeches about love and friendship. It did little to help them in the end..."
"So you admit to murdering humans now?!" Jiro spat at once, the Dracomon-X immediately scowling viciously.
"It was self-defense. They declared myself and my comrades evil for our deeds and attempted to destroy us. So we destroyed them first. It was all rather tragic. They were led by some boy with a Coredramon..."
This stoked familiarity from within Jiro. A boy... and a Coredramon... memories arose.
"Archnemon..." Jiro said, stepping forward, the Dracomon-X's eyes glaring up at her. "Was that boy's name... Kazuo?"
At this, Agent Tiger went very still. She put two and two together in her mind. Archnemon smiled down back at Jiro.
"Yes, that was the little brat's name. And his partner, Jiro."
"WHAT DID YOU DO TO THEM?!" Agent Tiger snarled with almost the ferocity of her codename.
"I cannot say. I didn't see them when the fight was over." Archnemon replied. That dismissive reply was all too much for Agent Tiger to stand. Before her was the likely murderer of her own son. A strange, teal energy began to dance around the DATS Agent. She removed her digivice from her pocket.
"DIGISOUL..." she began to shout. "...FULL CHARGE!!" and a burst of energy shot out directly at Jiro, the Dracomon-X evolving before them. He transformed to Coredramon, and beyond that, his Perfect level, Wingdramon.
"Oh my... you wish to fight after all, DATS agent?" Archnemon asked, looking somewhat excited at the prospect. Agent Tiger meanwhile responded with cold fury.
"You will tell me what happened to my son..." she ordered, holding back the urge to tell Jiro to tear this bitch apart.
The onlooking digimon meanwhile were looking like they were unsure of what to do. Ordinarily they would have helped join in the fight against DATS, but... this wasn't something they bargained for. Had Archnemon hurt this DATS agent's child? Was her anger justified? Hopefully with the help of the other humans and their digimon partners and friends, they could make the right decision here.
Agent Tiger evolves Jiro to Wingdramon.

"In your current one you might not, but the rumors getting a bit too strong for it to be dismissed as a mere rumor," Hikaru replied, his tone even. "You're not at fault, none of current agents are, but it doesn't help that there is a weight behind the name 'DATS'," Hikaru pointed out at the Digimons "...Their presence here are the testament of that. There is no smoke without fire. Do not deny their existence, Agent."
His eyes meanwhile looked at the news crews. Honestly, who can jam that? He wish he have something that could cut off the data here... Enough that there are a lot who knew the presence of the Digimons... if it gets out and shown to the public? It's going to be a nightmare. But for now, there are more pressing matters at hand. He'll let the Japanese government handle it... Because at the moment, the atmosphere shifted. There's not ONE but TWO indignant chosen. Golden light shone from Yuuki's crest as he balled his hands. At first it was dim, but Hikaru know... His partner is absolutely livid.
"...Neverland... Neverland you said? Is that it how the adult think? Oh yeah, kids gone on happy adventure, tralala..." his voice was low, but dripping with venom. "...How many you think have to face near death situation just because someone think that they can do whatever in Digital World? How many times do you think we have faced dangerous situation because perpetual, self destroying circle where humans mistreated Digimons, and then Digimons fought back toward innocents?
DON'T SCREW WITH US!!"
The crest shone the brightest at this moment, illuminating the area where the leader of KIZNA stood. "Listen carefully... none of us here... NONE I SAY, take this as a game. Is it fun standing here trying to defuse a situation that might gone off rail in a second? You think it's fun with all the fate of Digital World and Human World relations weighing on our shoulders like this? Some of us, who's there, would rather stay in our rightful places, safe, and with our family... My parents know of what I'm doing. Does that makes them happy? Hell no. Like any good parents they tried their hardest to stop me...
But yet we fight... what for? Because no one else can do this. Look at you, can you even say with straight face that you're thinking what's the best for us when you doesn't even communicate properly with the Digimons who appeared here? Can you say that you're not executing government agenda first and foremost? How can government understood what's the best when they refuses to even level with the Digimons here? Each rejection you give toward Digimons in here will come back in spades for us, endangering us who's in the other side, because extremist exist left and right. Who among them care whether or not there's parents waiting for us back home? Some of them even thought we could reborn from Digitama anyway...
If we can do this our way, we'd rather spend golden weeks with our family, with our closest friends and just forget about Digital World... you think we don't know the danger? You think we don't know the risk? Yet we take it anyway, because we believe in better future. Bonds and lives are at stakes... and here we are, fighting for it, together with our partners are friends.
Don't you fucking dare shit on us who fought for what we believe in. Don't you dare think that we're all foolish kids who just born yesterday. We know the risk, and hell I believe some of us even want to run away at this moment... but remember: all of us have rights to determine what worth it and what does not. And so we determine that this worth it."
Hikaru tossed back Yuuki's D-Nexus back to him. The boy swiftly catches it. The Dorumon's visage evolved to higher stage, rapidly evolving through stages and the stood proudly as Dorugreymon. Yuuki quickly relayed his order:
"KIZNA, on your position. Do not let any fight breaks out. Prepare to defend with Caeruleus Cosmos if it comes to it. I repeat, do not let any fight breaks out and do not initiate combat. Prioritize safety of Digimon and humans closest to you."
Meanwhile, Hikaru slowly stepped forward, ready to raise barriers if it's needed. "Do not play in her hand, Agent. You're walking straight to her trap. She knows your Digimon's name, and he said the name of your deceased son. Anyone can spun lies easily from those. Do not let her turn that as weapon against you. Anyone can use an educated guess of what a Digimon evolution looked like."
He then turned his attention at Arachnemon "...And what do you wish to achieve here?" he asked, tone soft "Not only you're painting yourself as target of righteous fury... but you're getting too desperate. Is fishing that ire worth it? Are you not missing the sight of your goal? There's no need for any of this anymore. You should stop while you're ahead, Arachnemon. If you're truly right in your claim, then why do you remember just one set and not everyone else? That is too much of a coincidence to be true."
