The twins along with the GranKuwagamon's attacks slammed into the BlackRapidmon dead on, causing an big explosion in the area. After the smoke cleared, what stood before the ExVeemon and the Arresterdramon was a smoldering wreck of a Digimon. Fiery embers from Vee's Searing Fists were still burning on the cyborg-dog Digimon, trying its best to catch ablaze again but to no avail.
Their adversary then devolved into a small canine with white and green fur along with long, frayed ears--a rookie from the looks of it.
The coast seemed clear, the battle over. Justice had been watching from a distance, and approached his Digimon. The The others seemed to be finishing up on their end. The two large dragons started to glow as soon as the danger was gone. They shrunk down, and in their places were their regular forms: Veemon and Gumdramon.
"Well that was a load of bullshit." Gummy said, almost displeased. "And here he was giving us all this trouble and he went down like a little bitch. How embarrassing."
Vee shook his head in agreement. "Yeah... I wanted a good fight too, but at least he'll no longer try and hurt more humans, am I right Justice?"
"To be honest, it kind of feels like I came down here for nothing since those two over here wore him down a lot," Justice shurgged, looking at the giant bug Digimon and what seemed to be a little red Digimon with red wings, struggling to get up from a crater.
She was talking to another Digimon that had just appeared--a Digimon who grabbed the semi-conscious dog-rabbit Digimon by the ears and promply slammed him to the ground, knocking him out. Justice and Vee winched as that happened while Gummy gave a big grin in contrast. To the Gumdramon, that little shit deserved to get knock down a peg. It's what he gets with picking a fight he had no chance of winning.
Not wanting to see the red Digimon stumble as she walked, Justice picked the Digimon up and cradled her in his arms. Whatever that happened, she was too bruised and exhausted to even move.
"You alright, little missy?" he asked, adjusting his hold on her so she could feel comfortable. "I don't have clue what happened to you in that fight, but something tells me you did an amazing job fighting that thing."
"Hey, what about us?" Vee suggested, hopping onto Justice's shoulder.
"You guys did good work too...6/10 work. Real good job. Very epic my compadre."
"Why you little...!" Vee took his fist and planted it into Justice's head, giving him a noogie. Gummy chuckled in response.
Then, sirens became audible in the distance. Uh oh. That's the sound of the police. Initally, Justice's instincts told him to run, not wanting to get in trouble with them, or his school. But doing that would make him a runaway suspect in, well...all of this. Instead, he stood where he was at, preparing for the inevitable questions that would come his way...
