Armor Hunt: Shino/Vector
WC: 1500+
It was strange on her exploratory missions in the digital world. Shino, aka Nemesis, was growing wearier how the atmosphere was different than that of the real world. Since she joined AEGIS, she was sent on many missions but only a few got her into the digital world. This time, she was sent to identify a large data signal-- strong enough it came up on her D-Power even from the real world. The computer at AEGIS didn't detect any threat, but it was strong and it seemed to radiate from this forest.
As she entered with Vector, her gun-toting mouthy Commandramon, she was surprised by how natural the forest was. At the very least, she thought she would be hindered by the artificial feel-- but from her last time in the digital world, she was surprised how realistic it all felt. The smell of flowers, trees and the wind was very realistic here-- even though it was digital. The birds that chirped in the background and in the trees had no crack or fake sound to it. She half expected it to play on a loop, but there was none.
The only indication she saw of the digital world was two things-- the occasional patches of framework in the terrain, a natural fissure in the world. That, and her own appearance. Whenever she entered the digital world, her entire feature changed from her clothing to her hair and eyes. She had a full-body digital incarnation of herself, unlike others who just had a change of clothing. The spitting image of her online avatars in certain media and games she played.
This world was full of wonders and each step she took-- her mind flooded with questions, thoughts and theories how this whole world could exist.
"Shino...? Shino...?" Vector perked up, hopping a few paces ahead of her and waved a claw to grasp her attention. "Digiworld to Shino? Do you copy?" he said in his military-like lingo.
Shino blinked and looked up to Vector in front of her. "Huh? What... What is it?" Shino asked.
"You're doing it again," he replied.
"Doing what?"
"Overheating that beautiful brain of yours that I can smell the smoke. Even I know you can't let a computer overheat," he chimed, trying to act charming-- but with all his come-ons it was growing old very fast.
She fainted offense and folded her arms. "Oh, you saying my brain is the only beautiful part about me?" she asked.
A cry escaped Vector as the Commandramon jumped back waving his arms in defense. "What?! No-no-no! I mean you all are smoking hot-- Er what I mean is..."
BONK!! That he deserved for the hot comment. Still, it was why he wore a helmet.
"Relax, I'm just joking..." Shino replied but still kept a firm tone after his last comment.
"Tell that to my head..." Vector said as he rubbed his noggin.
The stern look on Shino's face faded as she realized she might have gone too far. "Sorry, Vector... I just have a lot on my mind. " she said.
"Lay it on me, baby," he chirped.
She resisted the urge to shove his head into a nearby tree hole and leave him there...
