"Are you okay, Johan?" Dokamon asked in a slightly monotone voice as he helped up the human as best as he could. "You do not have any injuries, correct?"
"Yes, yes, I'm perfectly fine Dokamon. Was nothing more than a small trip, that's all." When Johan got up his eyes met with the new human recruits. Immediately his face began to go red. "Although that is an embarrassing first impression… Sorry you had to see me like that."
"I thought it was pretty funny," Speed commented, snickering behind an armored hand as Dokamon and Psych gave him a glare. Speed would then immediately give a glare back at Vector when he claimed that the speedster's joke was too flat. He disappeared for a second and when he came back, Vector's face would look very… different. The silly Commandramon would have goofy looking glasses and a mustache drawn on his face in black sharpie. In response, Johan, Speed and even Dokamon all looked away to chuckle a little bit.
After introductions were out of the way, the new recruits introduced themselves as Shino and Vector. Shino claimed that she was indeed a hacker, which Johan had to comment on. "I'm a hacker as well. When Dokamon and I became agents, the first thing we did was crack the security system and then make improvements onto it. I'd like to see what you can do."
Vector then decided now was a good time to be an idiot as he started to balance his rifle on his nose. Immediately Dokamon got in front of Johan, as if protecting him in case the gun went off. Clearly the others were not too happy by that trick either, as Tadayoshi's Commandramon confiscated the rifle. Psych, annoyed by Vector's antics, used his telepathy on Vector exclusively to show him horrific images on how his little trick could have gone very wrong. Hopefully he learns a lesson after that.
The crew went upstairs as Tadayoshi took over in giving the tour. He showed the new recruits the Known Entity detector, Colin's office, and the home teleport portal. After Vector's previous antics, Johan's team was worried about the various ways the new Commandramon could break something. Dokamon kept a close eye on Vector, to make sure he didn't do anything stupid. Vector would indeed notice the glaring look Dokamon would constantly give him.

(OOC: Sorry for delay. No more will happen I hope)
Shino felt her cheeks go red in embarrassment as Vector tried to show off using his safety-on rifle, and tried to empress his new Digimon friends. On the plus side, it did good for the little gun-toeing dinosaur to interact with others of his own kind. The downside, he was clearly a wildcard when it came to behavior even risky. Still, it seemed Vector and "Rashi" got along well. When the Commandramon took his gun down and removed the ammo, Vector growled.
"Oh, and where you put your rifle? Is it up to your tail?" Vector replied to the other Commandramon. Clearly the two were polar opposites, and if their tamers weren't careful it could become a straight-up fight between them.
As both The Elecmon and Commandramon grilled him about gun safety, the two strange-looking dragon digimon also got a crack at him. Speed and Psyche, had their fun by grafteeting his face. Shino gasped and Vector just blinked, not realizing what happened. The laughter made the little guy smile too, not caring. "You see? I'm a comedy genius Yoshi-boy. Even the dynamic duo approves."
Shino just hoped the marks would vanish with a little water and stuff-- but even then the camouflage seemed to do the trick too... as Vector had the same camouflage ability most COmmandramon seemed to have. It made Shino wonder if Tadayoshi's Commandramon had the same power as Vector did.
Johann revealed he was a hacker as well. Shino smiled at him, grateful for the chance to meet him-- even he didn't seem as graceful as he appeared to be. His handsome image definitely fell flat along with him.
(Skipped the part about the telekinetic effect, only cause well... cyborg digimon got more mechanical brains? But had a lot to catch up on so just moving past this one. Sorry)
***
As the goofing off finally ended, they went up one more floor and what a difference. Shino gasped as she saw the wide variety of tech and surveillance technology. One of her reactions was that she bet some of this violated certain privacy laws, but that only made it all the more exciting. She took off her glasses for a moment, making sure what she saw was correct.
Tadayoshi and the others showed her the technical floor while the other Digimon stayed safe behind them as she walked around the computer lab. Cameras, radar, data interpretations and transfers... many kinds of detection and cybersecurity equipment was everywhere. She was in a hardware heaven.
She stopped at one of the consols that Tadayoshi was near, while an attendant types and worked at the computer. "*Gasp* That computer is running a XK2050 Processor. That isn't even supposed to exist yet!... I want one," she swooned, looking at the computer set up. It put her home constructed set up to shame. "Double the processing power, triple the ram than commersial high-end computers and server supporting...." she lost them with all her technological talk, with the exception perhaps of Johan, as she leaned forward over the woman's shoulder. "Can I touch it? I know it a little weird and creepy... but I never have seen one before."
As she laid her hand on the console, the others probably would wonder if she was even listening to them... even though she heard most of what was said. Vector smirked and snickered as he looked out from behind Tadayoshi and Colin with a cheerful chirp. "Isn't she cute when she goes full on super-nerd?" Vector whistled-- and soon realized someone had scribbled on his face. "Huh? Hey?! WHo did that?!" he looked back and forth-- and catching the glare at Dokamon. The two machine-type digimon glared at one another with the rivalrous challenge.
Finally back to her senses, she shook her head and regained her composure. "Yeah, this is a lot more what I was thinking of. I could do a lot of damage-- er, I mean, I can definately help out and use this system for a lot of ideas. Hey, can this system also monitor the Digital World itself? If its a world made of computer data, isn't there some way of tracking the data that is in it?"
One thing that Tadayoshi would find a good idea, is to use any of the equipment to get a rundown on Shino's Digivice-- the odd D-Tector model and what data was inside it. Also, see what made Vector tick as well, if the place had such a setup.

Luke was getting a little exasperated as the shenanigans went on, but was glad when Commandramon stepped up and put a halt to the dangerous messing about. As far as he was concerned, that was that situation dealt with.
Well, regardless, they would proceed to the next floor. Colin remained silent for now as Tadayoshi gave an accurate introduction to how this floor worked. Shino seemed to be taken aback by the computers they were running here. Colin shifted a little uncomfortably, but tried to keep up an appearance of pride in this technology.
"Of course. AEGIS has been granted some of the best technology available for our mission in keeping Tokyo safe, so that's what we've been given." he explained. It seemed that Shino knew her way around computer systems, so he hoped that she'd be effective in this role. But still, there were things about her and her partner that made Colin feel somewhat dubious about their loyalties so far. For now, he thought that if she could prove her loyalties somehow, then he could trust her with further secrets. But for now, this was just a simple tour to what he thought were outsiders.
Shino asked a valid question about its capabilities of monitoring the digital world though. "Unfortnately, we can't monitor the digital world as effectively as we can with our world with this." Colin explained. "There's just too much interference, so 80% of this machine's processing power is devoted to monitoring digital activity on Earth. The remaining 20% is devoted to looking out for extreme emergencies in the digital world, where we'd have no choice but to pay attention to."
Following that, Colin remained silent as his comrade explained the floor further. When Tadayoshi finished, Colin gave a nod and a smile.
"Yep, that's all right." Colin answered his colleague. "There's one more feature on this floor that we've recently set up. A firing range..." he beckoned the others to follow him as he pointed it out to them. Running along the length of the building on the far side of the street was a long hall, 100 yards long. Colin demonstrated its features by activating the target mechanism. This would simply make a paper cutout of a target be produced nearby, then transported so that it was positioned within 10 yard increments, allowing a digimon to aim and fire their projectile attacks at it. It was a firing range that was fully customizable in terms of range and size of the target. And the targets were easily replacable too, making Colin think this was an efficient arrangement.
"Please don't use this range with any level above Champion though." Colin requested. "The end of the range is armored, but it can't take an Ultimate level attack without blowing out the side of the building."
With the firing range hopefully introduced, Colin would acknowledge Tadayoshi with a smile and indicate that he was ready for a tour of the top floor of the headquarters.

It was clear that Dokamon was not liking Vector or his attitude at all. It didn't matter if the safety WAS off, what the new Commandramon was doing was pure stupid. When Silence's captain carefully took the rifle away, Vector promptly asked if the former kept his rifle up his own tail. That is where Dokamon felt he needed to step in.
"You are in AEGIS now, 'Vector'. That kind of behavior will NOT be tolerated by anyone here. I recommend you stop now before you get into more serious trouble." Dokamon's first instinct was, of course, to punch Vector straight in the face. However he did manage to keep that instinct down and be logical and calm about the situation as best as he could. He'd let the ones in charge deal out punishments of course, if those seemed necessary.
"Please everyone, let us calm down," Johan said, raising his arms as if to try and stop a fight from happening. "Shino and Vector are still new members. We should have them feel welcomed, right?" Hopefully this conflict stopped right here because he did want to know more of Shino and her experience with tech.
The group went up another floor and Johan chuckled a bit as Shino reacted essentially the same way he did when first seeing this stuff. She geeked out about the tech and the processors, and she even asked to touch the equipment. "Might be best if you study this tech before you touch it. It's more advanced than anything you can find at the local AV store."
Johan was just glad to not be the only tech nerd in AEGIS anymore.
Vector wasn't stupid and eventually did find out about the marker on his face. He looked around the room, screaming and demanding to know who was the culprit. Of course Speed said nothing and pretended to be innocent.
Colin took over, explaining that a majority of the tech here was used to monitor the human world, as the Digital World kept interfering with it. Johan silently nodded in approval. He explained more about the firing range, warning to not use it with Digimon above ultimate level. Of course Dokamon had a bitter thought in response:
Vector's most likely going to do it anyways.
With the firing range and monitor floor covered, the group awaited for Tadayoshi to continue with the tour, at the top floor of the headquarters: the living quarters.

Where did the captain keep his gun? Well, not walking around a building full of friendlies, that was for sure. He wasn't real inclined to dignify Vector's juvenile humor with a response, but he thought it prudent to hammer home just how much danger he was in if he was ever caught doing anything so monumentally stupid again. "...Don't make me show you."
"Is that lady in love with the computer?" Kids say the darnedest things, don't they? That was Rashi's interjection, a reaction to Shino's rather unconventional appreciation for one.
Tadayoshi, for his part, held back a snicker as he decided not to correct the naive dolphin. "Yes."
The firing range was definitely a good edition as the HQ got fuller and fuller with digimon who took their ranged accuracy seriously and always worked on keeping their skills up. Until recently Tadayoshi's team only had one regular visitor to the place, and one could probably guess who on the very first try. But the new kid on the team also rather enjoyed the spot. Of course, it wasn't as obvious because he didn't usually walk around strapped.
Bang! Bang-bang! Bang! In the far corner from Colin and company was a Strabimon in goggles practicing his speed shooting with a pistol. From across the range he called, "'Ey! Who's the doppleganger, Top?" After clearing his weapon and examining the nine holes he'd just put into a piece of paper.
"New recruit."
"That's my team's spymaster Dakota." Dakota waved casually with the paw not grasping a nine millimeter.
"Yo. You guys staying?"
"Not this time." The Strabimon shrugged, smiled, waved off the crew, and began reloading his weapon. Up another staircase. Well, it was certainly a reliable way for agents to get a good workout. Too bad for Shino, most of the impressive advanced tech here was gone. But the top floor of AEGIS HQ wasn't boring either. "And on your first door on your left, you'll find..." Yoshi knocked on that door, then opened it to reveal... a living room. "Eat shit and die, aliens!" The BlackTerriermon at the controls of a very violent video game either didn't see the irony of the alien playing as a human to shoot aliens or, more likely, didn't really care. The truth was Tadayoshi personally frowned on these games, but they were a good way to keep Angel's urges in check. Nobody would have liked the alternative.
Yoshi closed the door hastily, just one of many down a long hallway full of them. "All agents are entitled to apartments on this floor. Just basics, really: beds, bathrooms, space. The kitchen over that way-" Yoshi pointed to it. "-is usually well stocked for three free meals a day... though I've been told the food budget has been rather stretched since Silence joined the organization." That was the boy's attempt at humor. "Additionally digimon here can't be detected from outside. Something special in the walls if I remember it right. They can generally roam freely and privately up here, which can't be said for much of the city at all, really. Personally, I don't live here, but miss Sophie has also opened up the floor as a safe house for agent use. I should add that this is not an invitation to get into the kind of trouble that might invite the need for a safe house." Why was Tadayoshi looking at Shino during that part? In any case, that was about the tour's end. In many ways it closely mimicked the same tour Tadayoshi was given by Colin's sister months ago. Even concluded it the same way. "So then, any last questions?" It almost felt wrong for the boy to give this speech like someone in a position of leadership. Sure, he commanded his own team like a general, other humans? And their partners? It was a position Tadayoshi didn't feel entirely prepared for, but now that he bore the responsibility it was one he still considered an honor and a privilege. The conclusion of the tour felt like a graduation of sorts to that position.

Shino calmed down by the tech-heaven she was now in. If she really did make money from this job, she may very well be able to buy better equipment-- but why would she when she had access to all of this... presuming she earned her place there. After realizing how she geeked out, she cleared her throat and bowed to the rest of them. " Oh-- um, I'm sorry. But I am very impressed and I can help," she said. When she heard about the general functions of observation this did, and how the digital world was not easy to monitor-- Shino smiled. " I might be able to help out with monitoring the Digital World. Believe me, my brain has been trying to figure things out from day one since Vector and Tadayoshi trashed my uncle's coffee shop." The hint of a smirk was on her lips-- giving a clear indication of jest at her last comment. Even though she was grateful to Tadayoshi, she was still going to grill him every once in a while. The rebel in her behind the glasses. " Hey! Don't lump me in with HIM!" Vector retorted. The Dokamon's warning about being juvinle had no real effect on Vector... In fact once the Dokamon had choose to move on, Vector gave the blue-metal Digimon a funny face. He stuck out his tongue and pulled down his eye, to provoke him. At the mention of the shooting range-- Vector's eyes lit up and his maw went open, drool almost trickling down his maw... but he soon cleaned it up with his claw. Still, a small bit of 'blood' seemed to trick down his nose... either by Shino or the idea to have a place to practice his gunshots. " Oooh, me likey! Gimmie Tommy back" he said, glaring at Yoshi's Commandramon and wanting his rifle back. That wasn't going to happen right now, even for practice. Clearly, not just Commandramon was armed with military-grade weapons. Shino was already worried about Commandramon having em-- if they weren't bugged so much. Shino saw this and shook her head in embarrassment. " Just for the record, any of your digimon are as insane as he is?" she asked Colin and Johan, knowing Yoshi's had a whole menagerie of crazy critters stuck in his digivice. They reached the fourth floor -- which showed a form of dormitories that they could use. At t he mention of food, Shino rolled her eyes. " You don't say? You mean its cheap feeding a dozen rookie Digimon that are bottomless pits?" she said with a leer to Tadayoshi. " For a machine digimon, Vector certainly has a crazy appetite." Vector flashed Shino a watery-eyed look-- trying to pry sympathy. " Hey, I'm a growing mon!" Shino returned to the others with a nod. " Well, it's good that I have options if I cannot get home back to Sojiro, or a place to stash Vector if he becomes too rambunctious. I gotta admit, my first impression wasn't great but you guys seem to have a real set up here. " Tadayoshi's warning made her leer at him. Clearly, she and Tadayoshi got off on the wrong foot but they seemed to 'like' arguing with one another. " Excuse me, but why are you glaring at me like that? Do I look like the type of girl that causes trouble?" Vector looked at the three boys, especially Tadayoshi for a moment, and then realized something in his little head. " Oooh I get it... you're trying to get her to shack up with you, hm?" he commented. Shino's face suddenly went beat red at the pervy-mouthed Commandramon. " Will you cut that OUT!!" she shouted, then gave a hard punch to the back of Vector's head. WHACK!! "Youch!" Good thing Commandramon always wore helmets. With the tour concluded, Shino tried to be somewhat professional and nodded to them, especially Colin as he clearly was a person of high rank in this place. " Thank you for welcoming us. I promise we will do our part for this group," she said, and gave a knowing look to Vector beside her, " Won't we, Vector?" she said with a clear tone of demand. " Gah-- Ma'am, yes ma'am!" he said with a quick salute. A lot happened in a short period of time. But it was a good time to finally ask some questions. " Actually, I do have a question, one of many mysterious I am trying to solve. Tadayoshi said you might be able to help." Shino then reached into her pocket and took out her Digivice-- a military green D-Tector. While no one would ever even bat an eye at it, it looked like any other D-tector. But that was just it. A D-tector didn't belong to a tamer, but those who could TRANSFORM into Digimon. So why would she be given one? It clearly was assigned to her and managed Commandramon's data. However, it was a mystery as to why that particular model was given to her. Perhaps you have some equipment that might help me figure out exactly what this thing's functions are? she asked. Hidden Data of Shino's Digivice Digivice fitting to the D-Tector design does the following: - Advance Scanner:
- Card Scanner:
- Digimon Storage:

Post by Colin, Luke & Bellamy on Aug 7, 2019 12:08:30 GMT
"I think he gets the message now." Bellamy said to Dokamon as he continued to berate the newest recruit to their organization. Bellamy noted that Vector seemed intent on provoking him further. "Easy now, don't wanna prod the hornet's nest too far." the Impmon advised him, quietly. If they were going to work together as AEGIS, best leave these silly games to the side.
For the moment, the trio had their attention diverted by the newest recruit to Tadayoshi's "army". Dakota the Strabimon, who was currently practicing on the firing range. They left him alone for now, but they were interested in learning how much of an asset he could be for AEGIS.
Shino asked if any of their partners seemed to be as "insane" as Vector. Colin scratched his head nervously. "Well... can't say I had too much problem with my partners." he began. "I can understand that it can be a tricky and difficult thing to start off with though, but, hopefully once you two get used to each other, you can hopefully be effective?"
He certainly hoped so. Colin was somewhat more tolerant to Vector's quirkiness than he thought his sister Sophie would be. Hopefully they'd be able to reduce his disciplinary issues before she returned.
Then the final leg of the tour was the fourth floor, where the residential area was. Colin gave a wistful sigh, knowing that he couldn't reside here for another 2 years when he would turn 18. His parents barely tolerated him being part of AEGIS at 16, so they insisted that this be nothing more than a day job for him, and that he'd return home every night with his partners. His elder sister Sophie, age 20, had sufficiently more freedom in this regard.
On the topmost floor, one of Tadayoshi's partners was playing a violent video game, but Colin and his partners didn't mind, Angel could do what she wanted as long as physical damage didn't happen. Tadayoshi then explained the function of the floor, to which Colin just nodded, his explanation lining up with what he knew about it.
Shino asked if there was any more food available. Luke was the one to answer here. "Well, you can have more than your standard three meals a day if you want, you just gotta pay for it." the Elecmon explained. "And don't worry, we know how much a digimon can eat." He and Bellamy were relatively light eaters for rookie level digimon, yet still they ate as much as Colin did - a human almost twice their size and four times their mass.
As Vector's shenanigans continued, Bellamy snickered a little, clearly amused by him. Luke rolled his eyes, but if he could tolerate his brother, he could tolerate Vector.
Then, Shino surprised the three of them by revealing her digivice. It wasn't a model that was usual for a tamer. Colin recognized it as a D-Tector, a digivice specialized for spirit users. This made him frown with concentration.
"That's an unusual model for someone like you I have to admit." Colin began. "Usually that kind of digivice is carried by humans that spirit-evolve. I take it that since you have a partner digimon, you don't yet know about spirit wielders?" he asked, curiously.

Something that Shino said had definitely caught Johan and Dokamon's attention: Vector and Tadayoshi trashing Shino's uncle's coffee shop. In response to this, Johan looked over at Tadayoshi with a look that seemed to be a combined "you did what now?" and "what is she talking about?" "You did what now, Tadayoshi?" Johan asked, eager to see how the Xros General would respond.
Despite Dokamon's efforts, his tone still was not getting through to the insane Commandramon. Instead, Vector decided to stick his tongue out and pull an eyelid down while facing Dokamon. Dokamon closed his eyes, inhaled and exhaled. He really wanted to punch Vector into next year but that did not look professional at all. Instead, Dokamon chose to just move on, not giving Vector the satisfaction of a reaction.
Shino asked the group if any of their Digimon were as insane as Vector was. In response, Johan laughed a little bit. "In all my time that I've known Dokamon, he's acted more like a stubborn old man than anything else. He and Yoshi's Commandramon are tied for the most sane Digimon in AEGIS, in my opinion."
When they reached the fourth floor, the group was met with the BlackTerriermon, Angel, shouting out "Eat shit and die, aliens!" Thankfully Dokamon had seen her play the game before she yelled that out, otherwise he would've actually thought she was fighting Digimon intruders or something. The blue machine Digimon rolled his eyes. "I don't see what you humans like so much about these games. They look like nothing but time wasters."
"You clearly haven't seen an Uncharted game then," Johan said to his partner, "those games are like playing through an action movie."
Tadayoshi continued with the tour, explaining that all the agents can get apartments on this floor, as Johan and Dokamon clearly have. He explained that the kitchen was stocked for three meals a day for each agent, with Shino commenting that Vector had a crazy appetite. "Not all Digimon give in to their appetites, Shino. We all have them but certain Digimon such as myself prefer to eat a normal amount, as oppose to making sure the refrigerator is empty every single day." Dokamon glared at Vector again. "Touch my share and we'll have a problem, however."
Vector then dropped a bomb and asked the boys if they were trying to get together with Shino. Johan's face immediately went red, to the point where he had to look away from everyone. After Vector got clobbered by Shino, Dokamon shook his head. "That was not an appropriate thing to say."
Shino reached into her pocket as she admitted she had a question, and she pulled out a D-Tector. Johan looked curiously at the device before reaching out to it. "May I?" Johan would ask before grabbing it. If given permission, Johan would inspect the device thoroughly. "This is a D-Tector... but I thought Spirit Users used this to turn into Digimon. Yet you have a partner... hm. Out of curiosity, Shino, how did you get this device, as well as meet Vector?"

"Dokamon, I'm with you," was Tadayoshi's answer to the blue digimon's wonder about the allure of video games. "They're just time wasters." Hopefully Shino wasn't about to explain that they met because of his secret guilty pleasure. At this point Tadayoshi was very tempted to let smack the unarmed dragon himself, but violence wasn't really in his nature. So he tried a new tactic: he ignored the attention-seeking crap completely. He moved on. "Let me see the digivice, Johan." With it in his hand, he turned his back to Shino but held the machine out, inviting her and others to look over him and see what he was doing. "Well... I've never seen another kind of digivice up this close before, but here's what I can figure out. This here-" Yoshi indicated a data reader port on one side. "-I think is primarily for scanning functions. If you try pointing it at a special card or a digimon, your digivice will interact with it, activating the card or informing you about the digimon."
It had one more suspected purpose, but Yoshi thought he wanted to keep that one a secret for a moment. So he leaned in close to Shino and spoke in a volume he hoped Vector can't hear. "Look at this, too." Yoshi showed his own digivice, which shared one part in common with Shino's: a port for storing digimon inside the device. "Digimon can be stored inside some digivices. Try it on Vector if he gets too... Vector."

Shino nodded at Colin's question regarding the Spirit Users. "Yes, I know. Yoshi mentioned it to me and also introduced me to the Tamer-Net to study more about Digimon and other tamers. I did learn D-tectors are for those that have the ability to convert their bodies into digimon data. That is a bit beyond me in how, but I was able to learn they use this model to scan their own data," she said, and allowed Tadayoshi and the others to examine her Digivice. "But the problem is, I have no clue why I was given one. If I could, I would gladly tinker around with it but I get the feeling it govern's Vector's data... and it's tentatively unstable as it is..." she thought aloud, wondering his quirky behavior was a result of what happened when they met.
Vector blinked dumbly at Dokamon's threat about eating his share. Whether or not he would or not... time would tell. Vector was the kind of person who liked the ruffle feathers. Dokamon clearly was gonna have a hell of a time cooperating with him.
At the mention of Tadayoshi in the coffee shop and videogames, Shino leered at him. "Oh, did you quit after I troused you at Overwatch, Yoshi?" she commented, recalling how she learned it was HIM she had shot in the game.
"Pfft! Hehehe...Ahahaha!" Vector laughed, falling to his back and laughed. He remembered that at least, as he was inside the game they played and met.
It was that moment, while Tadayoshi was examining the digivice... Shino explained to Johan how she met Vector. "It's a bit of a story, but... to be brief, Vector from inside that very game, tried to hack my computer network. I don't know how or why, but I counter-hacked him to stop him or whatever from trying to take over my uncle's shop. He is a consultant to the cyber division of the Tokyo Police and national services. Anyway, I countered his attack-- and that was when things got strange," she said as she looked to Vector, trying to socialize with the other Digimon. "The resulting surge or something caused something else-- and forced him out of my computer, along with that Digivice. After that, Vector mind had been wiped clean. He only knew a small handfull of things, but nothing about where he was from or why he was even trying to hack me. In the end that encounter changed him. And that is why I need to know more."
She showed a resolve from behind her glasses as she faced Colin and Johan. "I'm not entirely sure how or why, but my counter-hack changed him somehow. Call it intuition, but his behavior and his abilities are abnormal, to say the least. I'm worried just how 'bugged' he is, that it might make him unstable or even... harm himself. That's another reason why I want to join, in hopes to unravel the mysteries that seem to be inside Vector too. I'm sure it's not impossible to analyze a Digimon's own data too, right? " she asked.
As Tadayoshi explained the features, Shino was a bit surprised by the storage and card features. "Cards? I read about them but not 100% sure I understand how they work. Also, a digimon storage? They can be carried around in here?" she asked, taking the device tenderly back.
She glanced at Vector. If he did something stupid again-- no second thoughts. She was gonna test it. "Maybe we can take this downstairs to the 3rd floor? If you got the gear, maybe we can check it out now. I can read the data once I see it but I never had the hardware capable to do so. " she explained.
....
With Shino's suggestion, the group returned back to the 3rd floor to a sub-room with a a large capsul-like contraption in the center. Connected to it, was a series of computers that seemed to be designed to read data from what was inside, like a spectrographic analysis.
"Um, what happens if i sneeze in this thing?" Vector asked, his voice echoing as he stood inside the little chamber.
As he fidgeted inside the cylinder, a series of lights went up and down, and for a brief moment, revealed his digital framework in the shape of him. The little cyborg dinosaur didn't feel a thing.
As Shino sat at the desk, with Colin's permission and observation, she saw as a screen popped up, showing the command language of computer coding-- aka, the Commandramon's code.
"I knew it... a bunch of his data is bugged. Or was anyway, you can see the fragmentation between the variables and commands necessary to register the data--" she stopped as she looked at the other boys, clearly seeing that some, if not all of them, might of been lost by her translation of the data she saw. "Um... basically, as I suspected, there are gaps. Incomplete code that interrupts the normal strings of code. Most of them go inert, and unresponsive. If you look here, you see the errors at the end of the lines. "
She pointed out on the screen, showing the 'ERROR', at the ends of certain lines, along with garbled gaps in the coding. "Data here has been damaged, but here is something interesting. If you look here, you see new code that comes in, and is different from the past coding." she said and turned to the others. "It's not the same coding, but new code is introduced to offset and replace the damage ones. Almost repairing his overall makeup. If I had to wager a guess... I would say that Vector is receiving new data to keep himself somewhat whole. Probably from this," she added, holding out her digivice once more. "The question is... what was the past code that was destroyed when all this happened?"
There was a thump against the glass of the cyllender and Vector pressing himself up against it, the glass foggy. "Release... meeee...." he breathed in a creepy tone.
While, the others might get scared... Shino frowned at him. "QUIT IMITATING INDEPENDANCE DAY, DAMNIT!" she shouted, breaking the creepy suspence Vector was trying to make.
"You're no fun, Shino-Chi!" he replied.

"Well, they certainly work as a sink for stress at least." Colin answered Dokamon about his opinion on video games. "Well... uh... as long as nobody plays them when they're meant to be on duty, yeah, that'd be a foul there, but in their free time? No worries there."
Then when the awkward line got dropped about the others trying to bunk in with Shino, Colin blushed and didn't say a word, pretending not to hear what was said in this. After all, he was underage, both his partners were gay and in relationships, none of his business really.
When he tuned back into the conversation, Shino explained that she knew that she was in posession of a D-Tector but didn't know the reason why, considering that her partner was not a spirit.
"I see. Well, there's loads we still need to learn about the digital world." Colin replied. "Maybe your situation is a new one?" he hoped it wouldn't be too troublesome though.
Luke and Bellamy couldn't help but grin a little as Shino called out Tadayoshi as Shino mentioned she had beat him at Overwatch. Luke quickly hid his smile by turning around, not wanting to create bad blood with him.
Thankfully Shino then provided a distraction by explaining about how she had met Vector. Apparently it had been the result of an elaborate hack and counter-hack operation, and the result had made Vector a little unstable. Colin rubbed his chin again in thought of how to approach this. In the end, he thought about what his sister would say about this, then went on that tangent.
"If whatever your aim is happens to strengthen us on our mission without compromising it, we can do what we can to help you out." Colin said, neutrally, making it known that Shino and Vector would only be tolerated in AEGIS if they proved themselves able to contribute to the organization without drawing unwanted attention to it. "But by all means, if you want to learn more about digimon, you can use the tools here. Just... be careful in how deep you dig."
Luke agreed with this fully. "You know about DATS, right? Namely the old DATS?" the Elecmon would then give a brief explanation on the old DATS, the organization that AEGIS was created to replace, and how they met their end. "They dug too deep. Their agents simply disappeared as they tried to go for the secrets of the digital world. We're not saying that you shouldn't do research as you see fit, but... please, don't be reckless in looking for things. We can't guarantee that we'll be able to pull you out if you go in too far."
Colin gave a nod to say that he agreed with his partner here. Then he was rendered interested in Shino suggesting they use the equipment on the 3rd floor to scan Vector's peculiarities. "Well... sure, we could do that." he said, shrugging. The equipment had been tested on Lantis, Luke and Bellamy and had been able to analyze their data. He saw no reason why it shouldn't be attempted on Vector too.
And so they returned to the third floor, gathering around the digimon analysis module. Vector entered, and the relevant staff made preparations for its activation.
"Eh, don't worry about sneezing. I had a coughing fit in there and the results came out pretty crystal clear." Bellamy advised. It was meant to analyze a digimon's data after all, and could do so even if they did move.
As the device was activated, Colin, Luke and Bellamy looked at it with interest. "Huh, that's close to how Luke and Bellamy's code is." Colin remarked. "Both of them had missing data in their code, and that missing data was replaced with code that came from the other. I mean... just look at these guys. Luke's got a scarf and stands like an Impmon, Bellamy's got fur like an Elecmon... it looks like something similar's going on with Vector, but... as you say, what is the replacement code with him?"
Certainly the mystery for the moment. Colin looked at Tadayoshi and Johan, hoping to hear their inputs.

Dokamon smiled when Tadayoshi agreed with him about video games. It felt nice to know that he wasn't the only one that felt that way. His smile and that happiness all faded away when Shino commented that she had actually beat Tadayoshi in a video game called Overwatch. Dokamon looked relatively upset while Johan and Speed looked away from Tadayoshi to snicker a bit.
Psych, of course, just looked dead inside as he usually does.
Dokamon shook his head as he looked at Tadayoshi. "It was not a pleasant thing to do, lying to me and getting my hopes up." Dokamon didn't sound mad, just mildly disappointed. Which could be interpreted as being worse than mad.
Shino then explained her story of how she had met Vector. According to her, Vector had tried to hack her through a video game, so she hacked him back, and suddenly he was forced out of the computer with no memory at all. Johan looked slack-jawed at the story. "So you're telling me that Digimon can enter things like video games and computers?! That's incredible! I thought that kind of thing was impossible, but- oh my god, so many theories, so many possibilities, I have to test them~!"
"Johan," Dokamon said as he calmly nudged Johan a bit. The human snapped back to his senses and pressed on.
"Ahem, right... well, there'll be time to test all of that later. Yeah, let's go down a level and inspect Vector's data." While Speed and Psych remained upstairs to either train or lounge around, the rest of the group made its way to the third level of AEGIS HQ. Vector calmly walked into the capsule-like contraption that was set up as the rest of the group walked over to the computers of said capsule.
The scanning then activated. After a series of lights lit up, a digital framework shaped like Vector showed up. To Johan and Shino, it was obvious - Vector's code had indeed been bugged in such a way. There were missing fragments of code, indicated by the "ERROR" messages appearing at the end of certain lines.
But then Shino explained the interesting part. The parts of data that were missing were just... replaced by new coding, receiving new data just to keep himself together. "I can't say I've ever seen anything like this before. You say he's receiving new code, right? Is there a way to find out where that new code comes from?"
"And is there a way to replace the new code with the old?" Dokamon asked, sighing as once again Vector acted dumb inside of the capsule. "Surely the new code is making him act like a total buffoon."
Johan looked over at Colin. "One thing that keeps bugging me is that Vector somehow ended up inside a video game... do you think Digimon can travel through the Internet, like download files or computer viruses?"

Tadayoshi did not acknowledge the conversation about his unfortunate gaming habit only because he wanted to turn away from that subject as quick as possible. His face flushed red, but that was about it. He was glad to move onto Vector, maybe to find out what exactly was his loose screw. They didn't find it. "Hmm. Interesting." The sound of Dakota made Tadayoshi jump in place, to which the Strabimon did not react at all. Commandramon curiously looked over his shoulder at the Spymaster, who was now unarmed and staring at the screen with one paw to his chin. "Check out this line here." The wolf pointed at one specific line of code for the others' sake. "Can you understand that?"
"Nope." Dakota scoffed. "Just thought it looked cool. I'm up next, right?"
Nobody answered.
"I'm not sure if we really want to resurrect the old code, Dokamon. Now he's a little... silly. But before?" The before was his whole reason for being hesitant to let these two into AEGIS. It was no doubt, in his opinion at least, that this was the most suspicious, chancy recruitment since he joined it. But here they were. Maybe it would be good to know, at least, if not to implement said code. "But between Himura and you two, I'm sure the best technical minds in the building could figure something out."

At this time, Vector was finally allowed out of the capsule, where he collected his rifle (mistook timing) and gave it a kiss. "Aww I missed you, Chuckie" he said to the rifle, changing its name 'again'. While Shino rolled her eyes at the insanity of her Commandramon, Tadayoshi hit the nail on the head as she returned to the coding within Vector.
"Yeah, as i said before, the new coding came likely from my Digivice, after I hacked Vector the first time, " she explained, scrolling through the coding behind her glasses. "What I'm more interested in is the missing code. His quirky personality and his memory loss, are all attributed to the loss of his old data. This all happened when he and I tried to hack one another."
"You mean... we interfaced?" Vector asked, his head near Shino's shoulder as if to rest his head on it lovingly... and clearly trying to make his words mean something else.
SHino paused with a bothered look-- and shoved her shoulder to dislodge the gun-toeing dinosaur cyborg.
"The reason I want to know is cause still, Vector lost his memories and his identity. Even if it is unrecoverable, I want to help him find out about his past and what to do. No one should just forget their past, you know? But as Yoshi said... we have no idea what the past code was. If he was hacking me for a reason, it probably wasn't to be as flirty as he is now..." she explained as she pondered and pondered...
Elsewhere in Central SHibuya...
Among the other malls around the SHibuya area, much like the market where AEGIS was over, was another one similar to the north of Shibuya's scramble crossing-- out of the way from most of the traffic and people. Inside at the end was a small bank that was in use. As a small amount of people and workers continued with their business, things were quiet at first.
Suddenly, as a teller was entering info into her computer, the screen froze and frizzed. It was first her's then others in the office. An ATM nearby began to fritz-- even spitting out some dollar bills at a nearby patron-- who greedily caught it without real ethical debate.
Slowly chaos began to unfold on the bank and outside in the mall area. Finally, the bank of computers erupted with light-- and caused a thick cloud of white smoke that began to fill the bank. The 'smoke alarm' went off and members of the bank fled, running out of the room and into the mall, as the smoke slowly spread out to the mall itself.
As the humans scream faded and the bank was vacated... a silhouette appeared from the white smoke, appearing as a small dinosaur like creature-- wearing a military vest and holding a rifle.
"Infiltration Complete... Proceeding with mission. " the digimon said in a serious, cold tone of focus and concentration. "Objective: Locate and ascertain status of Unit D-86. "
BREEE! BREEE! BREEE!!
An alarm soon went off in AEGIS computer lab. Something was amiss that made everyone go on alert. SHino pushed away from the computer, nervous and of course Vector looked around alarmed.
"It wasn't me!" BOth SHino and Vector shouted in unison, making it a rather embarrassing moment-- SHino worried she pushed a button she shouldn't have and Vector... doing anything that he shouldn't have.
As Yoshi and Colin and Johan would gather, the alarm was in regard to the digital emergence located in the northern area of Central Shibuya-- where the bank was. As the report would come in, they would see it on the map and the data that flooded in.
"An unidentified Digital anomaly has emerged. Located in the Hidden Acre mall center." one of the AEGIS observer staff said as they typed into the computer, "Target appears to be a rookie digimon. The data coming in is too garbled to reveal details but it seems to be stationary for the time being."
It seems Shino and Vector just joined right as a sudden incident seemed to appear. As a screen visiual popped up, showing a security camera shot from outside the north side of the mall... it revealed the white cloud of smoke that now covered the bank area. One would think of it as a bank heist. However, they were better informed what it was.

How long was it since John and his Agumon partner got a break from work? It almost felt like forever ago. The increased activity of Digital anomalies certainly did not slow since the two came back home. IF anything, the breaches into the human world only increased. And now there was Neo-DATS to worry about. Thus far, there was a glimmer of hope that Neo-DATS and AEGIS could work together. But how long would that last?
Truthfully, getting days off was and old fantasy to John and Casimeir. They had to almost work around the clock. But if there was a bright side to their work as AEGIS agents, it was better than a normal nine-to-five job. No sitting at an office cubicle, no standing all day in front of a conveyor belt. Yes, the pair would not trade this job for the world. At the very least, they could get some rest and relaxation in-between Digimon incidents.
John and Casimeir sat on their bed, both tirelessly smashing buttons on their video game controllers. Displayed on the screen was a fighting game. The latest Smash Brothers game, in fact! And how the Agumon was playing this game? Well, with a controller modified for Digimon, of course.
"I've got you this time, John!" Chided Casimeir in a sing-song voice.
"You said that the last time, buddy," John retorted with a quick friendly smirk.
"Yeah, well I still kicked your butt two rounds ago."
"By luck, you mean. I had to scratch my nose!"
The two partners laughed at once with their cheeks warming and their spirits rising.
Suddenly, the blaring of the alarm. John and Casimeir froze and shot a glance toward the door. "Sounds like trouble, Cas," John stated quite obviously. "Let's go."
The partnered pair scurried down the hallway to the nearest elevator. And ran past it to the stairwell. Taking the stairs would be a lot faster, at least that's what the two reasoned. The blaring warning meant that a potential threat had entered the Human world. It didn't take much longer to reach Operations on the third floor.
John and Casimeir rushed into the room to see the others had already converged. There appeared to be a few new recruits. But, formalities would need to come later. "John and Casimeir reporting."
