Projects were all fun and games until you need a piece or part that was a bitch to get, which was why Talia had dragged the twins all the way out to Rustport town. She’d received an email from a merchant who was looking for a new line of toys he could sell while specifying that many of his clients were ‘above average’ in strength, aka normal toys just couldn’t hold under their grip. “It’s great he’s expanding his market, but he couldn’t just...make dolls out of chrome digizoid or something?” How did one even work with chrome digizoid, let alone get a hold of it? It was definitely on her list though!
“I don’t know how people live in desserts, they’re too hot and dry for me!” The rabbit exclaimed as she put an ear to her forhead in a double attempt to both blot the beat of sweat on her head and block the sun from blocking her vision. “Well it probably doesn’t affect you as much if you’re born and raised in it I guess, like how some people who live at the base of Mount Everest have a different body chemistry but it’s definitely not my cup of tea either - hey where’d Simba go?”
A humming sound make the both of them look down to see the dragon sitting on his back with his legs in the air like a yoga position, a blissful smile on his face as he basked in the heat. “Warm.” Tch, typical warm blooded beast. Despite what dragon genes she’d inherited, a body composition who’s homeostasis depended on hot temperatures wasn’t part of that gene pool. “Come on dodo, you’re not on vacation!”
Tohru tried to pull the dragon along by his tail but he refused to budge from his place of zen. “Aww have a heart Tohru, look how happy he is! Come on, let’s go in the shop.” She spoke with a ‘i have a plan’ tone which the rabbit knew very well by now, maybe a bit too much for her own health. Following the woman, she looked back at the dragon, smirking a bit while anticipating his reaction. “Wait for it…” And just before they got to the door, the dragon squeaked realizing no one was around and hopped to his paws, scrambling to catch up with his sister and human.
“EXCUSE ME? What do you mean you don’t sell parts to girls?” They’d gone inside only to be rudely thrown out by the giromon who exclaimed that he didn’t sell machine parts to women because “working with machinery is only suited for males!” And once they were outside, she spotted what was a boy and his fluffy goat looking partner and the best idea suddenly came to her. “Hey kid! Wanna help out a nice lady? I swear I’m not a creep, I’m just a victim of gender
stratification!”
