"Bzzt! S-s-s-so, the mighty general's got a lady friend, eh? Bzzzz!"
"This isn't a good time, Kamushi."
With Johan on cleanup duty, Tadayoshi was free to worry about tracking down a kidnap victim. Personal or no, this was absolutely a crime committed by a digimon against a human on human world soil. That made this case AEGIS jurisdiction, freeing Tadayoshi to deal with that monkey the AEGIS way. Soon as the driver pulled up, Tadayoshi demanded to be dropped off at the train station.
The train took the team as far as Rustport before "tracking this distress signal out in the Folder Desert" was something the Trailmon didn't care to take part in. Luckily the boy had his own mode of transportation tucked away in the Xros Loader: an M1126 Infantry Carrier Vehicle, or the Silencer for short. Besides being able transport, it was also roomy enough to fit Tadayoshi, most of his team, and the twins without stacking anybody. There were seats for everyone except Rashi, who wouldn't do well in a desert, and Deckerdramon, who was simply larger than the APC itself. So, while Commandramon drove and Yoshi sat shotgun navigating, Kamushi the Searchmon was bugging him.
"What? I'm happy for bzzzzzt ya, big man! Big 'mon! Ladies' man! Bzzzzt!"

When the Searchmon came into view, immediately Agumon and Gabumon were on the defensive. They did just let an Etemon take their Tamer away from them, and now an unknown Digimon suddenly shows up. Agumon was about to act early and launch a Pepper Breath at it before Tadayoshi made it clear that he knew the Searchmon, who's name was apparently Kamushi.
"Are you gonna help us or not, bugboy?" Agumon aggressively asked. "Right now is pretty important since our Tamer is most likely going to die."
"I seriously doubt she's going to perish, but Agumon does have a point. We need to get going. I assume you're going to help us, 'Kamushi'?"
Almost immediately the group ended up in the Digital World, taking a Trailmon as far as Rustport Town before refusing to go any further. Gabumon understood while Agumon just rolled his eyes. There ARE tracks in the Folder Desert, you know, Agumon thought, ...at least, I think. Wait, are there?
Thankfully Tadayoshi and Silence had a vehicle that they could use to travel through the desert, with most of the group being able to sit comfortably in it. Agumon and Gabumon were very tense throughout the journey, and Kamushi was not helping at all.
"Can you PLEASE shut up, you stupid fly? You're not helping at all!" Meanwhile, further into the Folder Desert, was a decently sized house. A portal appeared, with Etemon and White Wolf coming through it. Upon seeing the house, many questions stirred through her mind, mostly beginning with "why" and "what".
White Wolf only asked one of those questions. "Alright, why did you bring me here? What do you want with me?"
Etemon put White Wolf down as gently as he could, before walking towards the front exit. "Follow me; there's something I want to show you."
A lot of this raised red flags for White Wolf, but she didn't have too much of a choice. She just sighed and did as she was told.
It would take quite a bit for the group to get there, but it wouldn't take TOO long. However, if they were to just barge in, they would get a very nasty surprise. Maybe stealth was the best option for this mission?

"Hey! Bzzzt! Someone's gotta keep the air light around here!" Well, temperatures couldn't have been the reason tempers were high; the carrier had unexpectedly excellent air conditioning as well as an outer shell designed to reflect lots of the heat.
"That is not the best way to make yourself useful." Tadayoshi noted that a house in the middle of the desert was a new one, but when he came up to it he already knew exactly what to do. "I'm turning on active camo. We're gonna circle slowly. Captain, Spymaster?" "Sir."
"Here." "You, too, Kamushi." The vehicle stopped as Commandramon shuffled out of the driver's seat so that he could, "Digi-Xros." The three digimon all fused back into the sniper Scorpmon from earlier. "You know what to do, right?" "Yes, sir." Just like that, the sniper completely disappeared before everybody's eyes... sort of. It was more like a chameleon's camouflage, but it was damn good. Not that anyone could see him, but he proceeded to climb up a hole in the top for operating the cannon, only he instead got all the way out and lay down flat on top, set his rifle on the house, and started peering through his scope after adjusting for distance and focus. He was looking for just about anything he could find out about the interior: locations of subjects, possible entry points, potential hazards, etc.
He knew his hostage rescue protocol. The Silencer activated its Active Camo. -Light bends around your vehicle, preventing it from being spotted. This effect is strongest when the vehicle is still, with imperfections and glimmers of light exposing it when in motion. Active for up to two posts, but then cannot be activated for another two posts. 3/thread limit. Scorpmon used Digi-Ghillie. -Digi-Ghillie: Like a chameleon, this digimon becomes almost completely invisible by blending into the environment for two posts. Using another named ability cancels this effect early, and moving faster than a casual walk makes Scorpmon easier to see the faster he moves. Cooldown: 1 post
Digi-Ghillie must cool down: 1 post remaining.

The inside of the hut was what you'd expect from a hut in the desert, but it still seemed as if Etemon had done all he could to make this place look as nice as possible. It actually did seem like a decent home. "So... you live here? In the desert? It seems like an... odd place to live."
"When I'm not dealing with screaming fans," Etemon explained, which made White Wolf turn around and chuckle a little bit, "I greatly prefer seclusion, with a couple of friends here and there to make it a bit less lonely."
"Hm... I suppose that would make sense," White Wolf said with a nod, "but please get to the point. Why did you bring me here? Why crash my show just to bring me to your hut?"
"Because I wish to show you... this," Etemon said, arriving at a door. He opened it, revealing a room filled with beautiful, expertly crafted stone statues of various kinds of Digimon. A majority of them looked like they were in a singing pose or were holding some sort of instrument. White Wolf had to admit; they looked beautiful.
"These statues... are these all famous musicians from the Digital World?" White Wolf asked in awe.
"Yyyyyyup," Etemon confirmed with a chuckle, "I like having fine art of my favorite musicians. Like a mini museum kind of a thing."
"And you just wanted me to be a model?" White Wolf asked. She went from impressed to angry just like that, placing both hands on her hips and glaring at Etemon. "You didn't have to kidnap me for something as simple as that, you know!"
"Right... simple... sorry," Etemon said, "but I do hope you will pose for the creation of your own statue. I promise, it'll be petrifyingly amazing! Let me get my assistant quick." Etemon then left the room, leaving White Wolf on her own.
She was starting to think maybe she overreacted, sending Tadayoshi that distress tracker. This collection seemed harmless, plus she'd get a statue of her in the meantime. White Wolf admired the statue of a Geckomon seemingly happily playing its tuba. However, these statues started to become more and more creepy the more she thought of it. None of them looked like they were posing; either they looked blissfully unaware or in some cases, completely caught off guard.
Nothing was too much of a red flag... until she saw a statue of a Biyomon that looked utterly horrified. She looked back and forth at all of the statues, before coming to a conclusion.
These aren't statues... they're petrified Digimon!
White Wolf almost fell over due to the horrible sickness in her stomach from realizing this fact. She immediately turned towards the door to make a break for it, but Etemon returned... along with a Kokatorimon. A Digimon that White Wolf knew had the power to petrify Digimon.
"I knew you wouldn't have been fooled for long... do it, Koka."
Hopefully Silence could be able to see through the windows of these rooms to recognize the danger... otherwise it may be the end for White Wolf.

"Sitrep."
"Stop the vehicle." Tadayoshi did. "Perfect. Two in view: one hostage, one captor." That, they already knew. But it was good to know he could see them both. "She's acting relaxed. Body language suggests she doesn't see him as a threat." Well that was confusing. "They're in a room full of stone statues, all digimon who appear to be... performing music. She still isn't showing danger signals."
"Why wouldn't she? What does she know that we don't?"
"Or, what was she told?" A pause. "Whatever it is, she changed her mind. Lost the target. She sees something wrong with the statues. She's frightened. Sir, recommend give an order before target returns."
Tadayoshi had to consider the implications of an agent applying force in the digital world on an unsuspecting subject. Did this check all the boxes? He couldn't be certain someone's safety was in danger, but he did have reasonable cause. Additionally, this was a kidnapping that took place on human soil, giving AEGIS complete jurisdiction over the case. Maybe he shouldn't have been personally rescuing her due to the personal connection, but he was the agent closest on the scene to act, too. His conclusion: he had sufficient justification to order force. Tadayoshi drove the APC where it was just behind the crest of a dune, the top barely peeking out high enough for Commandramon to keep his shot. Then he opened the back door and began to fuse. "Deckerdramon! Hagurumon! DigiXros!" Helomon formed a bit further down the dune, rotors shielded by the elevation. "Now breacher: Angel, Missimon, MetalKoromon! DigiXros!"
"Hell to the fucking yes, sir!" exclaimed the BlackRapidmon those three made.
If Angel came down too hard on Entemon, Tadayoshi wouldn't be too concerned this time.
"Sir, time is running." Rebecca made the break. Kokatorimon came into view. "Two targets! I need the order!" It had to be urgent if even the sniper was getting hot under the collar. "Helomon, spot him! Rapidmon, breach! Scorpmon, fire at will!"
Helomon took off fast as they could, but they only needed a few feet before their high-tech laser spot could shine on the cockatrice's digicore. It wasn't going to hurt, but what followed next was. "Firing." Pip! The shot was so quiet there was no way anyone in the house could hear that, but they could definitely hear the broken glass and, ideally, Kokatorimon screaming in pain. "Angel, target Kokatorimon."
"Rebecca, we're here! Take cover!" hopefully she was still receiving him on her digivice, because he knew Angel wasn't overly concerned with the well-being of a hostage. "Rapid Fire!" Whoosh! Whoosh! As Angel flew forward toward the house, one rocket, then another flew through the now shattered window toward Kokatorimon. But it wasn't over. Scorpmon rapidly pulled the bolt to eject the spent casing, loaded the next one, and fit the bolt back into place. It didn't take him long to reacquire a target. "Firing." Bang! There was nothing quiet about that shot! At this point it didn't matter if the enemy digimon were onto the assault and had themselves taken cover; that penetrator round would tear anything they hid behind to shreds along with any digimon it hit. Kokatorimon was in trouble if he was in the way and, heck, even Entemon was at risk if he was in the line of fire. Not my girlfriend, you jerk. Hagurumon and Deckerdramon fused to X3 Helomon.Angel, the Missimon, and the MetalKoromon fused to X3 BlackRapidmon.
Helomon began Aerial Spotting. -Aerial Spotting: This digimon identifies an opponent's weak points and patterns, then begins pointing out what they think is the best place to strike with a laser beam and calling out attacks they see coming. His predictions give up to four allies a 20% bonus to accuracy and evasion for the four posts he spends spotting. Cooldown: 3 posts. Scorpmon attacked Kokatorimon with Silent Snipe. -Silent Snipe: This digimon's rifle muzzle morphs into a suppressor. Then, he shoots at the opponent with a metal bullet to deal damage. While Digi-Ghillie is active: this ability does not take the post's action and does not disrupt the effect of Digi-Ghillie, but this ability gains a cooldown of 3 posts. BlackRapidmon attacked Kokatorimon with Rapid Fire. -Rapid Fire: This digimon shoots two unguided missiles from her hands to deal explosive damage. Scorpmon attacked Kokatorimon with High-Velocity Penetrator -High-Velocity Penetrator: This digimon fires a single metal bullet at an opponent out of his rifle. This bullet is capable of shooting through several trees, buildings, some sheets of metal, and even multiple digimon with minimal change in velocity. The energy this round carries ups its destructive power by 50%. Cooldown: 2 posts.
Digi-Ghillie was disrupted. Digi-Ghillie has cooled down.

White Wolf backed up until she hit against the wall of petrified Digimon statues. Her legs turned to jelly, her Rebecca side completely taking over. Her white hair and mask weren't helping in the slightest anymore, doing nothing but concealing her tears. Kokatorimon prepared his petrifying attack, causing Rebecca to look away in fear...
...but, nothing happened. All that could be heard was the sound of glass breaking, followed by the sound of a loud screech. White Wolf opened her eyes to see both Kokatorimon and Etemon in complete shock, although the former was more in disarray. It was leaking data from its left wing. "What the...?"
Suddenly a noise came from White Wolf's digivice. It was definitely Tadayoshi's voice, telling her to take cover. She pulled out her Digivice and responded back. "TADAYOSHI! The statues aren't statues; they're Kokatorimon's victims! Whatever you plan to do, make sure they don't hit the statues! Keep distance from Kokatorimon, or you'll be petrified as well!"
Immediately White Wolf ran right past the two enemy Digimon out of the room, with Etemon running off to chase her. Kokatorimon prepared to follow them as well, but was interrupted by getting hit in the wing right by a rocket passing by. Sadly, he became off balanced, leaving Scorpmon's second shot to miss completely. With Angel in view, Kokatorimon was pissed. It fired a blast of energy right at her. "STUN FLAME SHOT!" If it collided, Angel would become petrified until Kokatorimon was deleted.
Meanwhile, Etemon chased Rebecca throughout the hut, with the former easily overcoming her in terms of pure speed. He grabbed her by her ponytail, which hurt like hell for White Wolf. "You lead them RIGHT TO US! I SHOULD KILL YOU FOR THAT!"
"I'm not the one turning innocent bystanders into statues for your own twisted pleasure, you freak! You're not a musician at all; you're just making sure the competition is done for!"
"It's show business, petty human... give me one good reason why you think I'll be stopped."
"I'll give you two..." White Wolf said with a smirk. As he was talking, Agumon and Gabumon had snuck up behind Etemon. The human raised up her Digivice. "DNA DIGIVOLVE!"
"WHAT?! YOU'RE A TAMER?!" Etemon screamed in complete terror. When looking behind him, Bootmon had already formed and given him a solid punch in the back, sending him crashing right into a wall and dropping White Wolf in the process. Thankfully Bootmon had caught her just in time.
"Are you safe, White Wolf?" Bootmon asked her as they gently put her down on the ground.
"I'm fine... one second later and I would've been toast... although you may need to worry about him."
Etemon wasn't out for the count quite yet. He had successfully gotten up, and was running right for Bootmon.
"Don't worry about us," Bootmon said, summoning a Blade of Burn in their right hand. "We'll hold off Etemon. Get to the dune nearby, that's where Silence is stationed. Tadayoshi is worried sick." And with that, Bootmon dashed right towards Etemon, while White Wolf ran out of the hut to join Tadayoshi... hopefully without Kokatorimon noticing.

"Confirmed, Rebecca! Team, absolutely no collateral!"
"Second shot missed." Well, sometimes the long gun was tricky. Commandramon isn't responsible for what happens after the round leaves the barrel, and from that distance there was time for a fair amount to happen. All the soldier could do was slide the bolt to eject the spent shell and insert the next one.
Angel, of course, was a lot less calculated than her marksman counterpart. She just continued to advance toward Kokatorimon straight through its shot. However, the inverse was also true: the shot traveled straight through her! Something was visually different about her for a split second; one could slightly see through her and behind her as if she were a ghost, partially translucent. "Panic Phase!" The flame went on to pass into the sky and (probably) dissipate completely harmlessly. Once it was through, the BlackRapidmon returned to her normal solid self. Tough news for Kokatorimon, because the fellow ultimate continued her charge straight through the window she shot through, hoping to shoulder charge the chicken straight in its mug, just like Helomon pointed her with their spotting laser.
"I'm gonna shove a fistful of sand straight down your throat and fry you on the rotisserie, you ugly fuck!" She taunted Kokatorimon. Her next communique was to Yoshi. "Yo, kid, the girly's comin' to ya."
"Roger! Top, hang on. We're mobile." Scorpmon showed no signs of even noticing that the APC started back up and began to kick up dust on its way to Rebecca, hoping to shorten her otherwise very long journey. If they successfully met up, Yoshi would slam the brake and open the rear door to let the girl in. He even disabled the camo so she couldn't miss it. "Firing." Bang! Tadayoshi covered his ears to survive the third shot for Kokatorimon. Angel jumped back to get clear of the shot since she got the warning, too. This bullet was meant to hit straight center-mass as guided by Helomon's spot. Angel avoided Stun Flame Shot with Panic Phase. -Panic Phase: In response to an attack, this digimon, though still visible, becomes completely intangible for the duration of the post. During this post, one attack will pass right through her as if she were a ghost, and the environment does not affect her in any way positive or negative. After one attack passes through, this ability is consumed, forcing her to become tangible again. In this digimon's next post, she cannot use any named abilities. Cooldown: 3 posts. -Helomon is spotting.
Angel attempted to shoulder charge Kokatorimon. Scorpmon attacked Kokatorimon with Scorp Sting. -Scorp Sting: This digimon fires a metal bullet out of his rifle to deal damage. -Helomon is spotting.

Upon launching his strike, the Kokatorimon smirked, almost eager to see his target completely turn to stone. However he was in for a rude awakening when the shot went right through the BlackRapidmon. His eyes widened, wondering how in the Digital World she was even able to do it.
"Grrrr... I'LL TURN YOU TO STONE IF IT'S THE LAST THING I DO!" Kokatorimon screeched, as if it had a sick pleasure for turning other living things into stone. Of course, since he could see the BlackRapidmon coming right for him, he was easily able to just jump backwards out of the way. Upon taunting him, Kokatorimon just laughed and prepared another attack. "STUN FLAME-"
BANG!
Angel jumped out of the way, leaving Kokatorimon open for a shot by Scorpmon. Upon getting hit, Kokatorimon paused, unable to process... well, anything. The big chicken stumbled backwards, his voice gurgling in pure pain. Scorpmon had hit Kokatorimon right in his digicore. The petrifying Digimon screamed as it dissolved into bits of data, destined to never return to the Village of Beginnings.
Something else began to happen as well. Angel would notice that the stone coating of each Digimon faded in a similar fashion to Kokatorimon himself. They had all been set freed from their prisons. Confused and loopy, they all turned to Angel with wide eyes. A Palmon walked up to her and bowed.
"You freed us... thank you so much."
Back in the desert, White Wolf continued to run in zigzag motions as fast as she could. Suddenly she saw a vehicle approaching her fast. The door suddenly halted and the door opened, revealing Tadayoshi as the driver. Without thinking, she jumped right into the vehicle with the others.
"Yoshi! I'm so sorry that I worried you, but there wasn't anything else I could do, not with the Digimon becoming apathetic and I... I..." Her disguise was failing her. She felt just as weak and frail and she did when she was Rebecca. However, something caught her eye... it looked like a golden... oh no, it was Bootmon, and he was going to land right on them!
"YOSHI, LOOK OUT!"

That poor Palmon! They were having such an awful day, and they deserved a better savior than the one in control of BlackRapidmon's form. Palmon's guardian Angel just brushed the plant digimon aside with her foot, completely disinterested in the ivy digimon's graciousness and, well, their safety, too. "Stay in your lane, shortstack," was how she coldly dismissed the poor Palmon just before jetting off toward Tadayoshi. Palmon probably couldn't know it, but they should be grateful; expressions of weakness usually evoked a very different response from Angel. Boy, what an improvement! Soon as Rebecca was clear, Tadayoshi slammed the button to shut the back door with his fist, then ran straight to Rebecca and hugged her tight. He buried his head in her shoulder and just held her without saying anything. This could have been a nice, sincere moment if there wasn't a living projectile baring down on the carrier. Tadayoshi could only look up and over his shoulder before impact, and by not being at the controls he couldn't move the vehicle.
The good news was that, well, the armored personnel carrier was armored in addition to carrying personnel. It was going to take an impact a lot stronger than that to even dent the chrome digizoid outer layer. The real issue was that the vehicle was still able to be pushed around by a real solid force. Scorpmon jumped and dove, saving himself. As Bootmon crashed on top of the APC and past it, the sand refused to depress; perhaps it was already too well-set. That meant all its momentum went into rolling the vehicle sideways. "Hang on!" Tadayoshi had to push off of Rebecca and grab onto one seat's seatbelt to hang on for dear life. Otherwise he and Rebecca both would have been trapped in a violently rolling metal box bouncing off wall after wall.
The M1126 wound up on one side and started to gently slide down the same sand hill it had already been descending. Tadayoshi was groggy and disoriented. Which way was up? Every way felt like up right about, then, and as he tried to figure it out he only felt right down on the seats. He was bruised in a few spots on his arms and face, but none of his injuries seemed life-threatening at first glance, and he was still conscious. "General!" Scorpmon screamed so loud that Rebecca may have heard his muffled voice, but he was obviously dozens of feet away. Tadayoshi was too gone to even respond. Several seconds later, Scorpmon's head popped through the gunner hole, wiping away some of the sand that got in as he did. "Both of you, to me!" Scorpmon held one one hand toward the couple. However, for Tadayoshi the room was still spinning. Meanwhile, Angel went to Bootmon. Poor Bootmon. He was obviously having a bad day, too, and he as well deserved a better savior than Angel. She did not ask if he was OK nor express any sympathy for his state. She simply demanded, "Where's the other shit tosser? I got some issues to work out, and boss says it's gotta be on him!" The Silencer avoided damage thanks to Chrome Digizoid Armor. -Solid armor plating, lightweight and efficient. Very resilient against physical impact, such as crashes, weather damage, and melee attacks.

All the freed Digimon, including Palmon themself, were thrown off by Angel's attitude toward their gratitude. They were a bit afraid of her now, as she could easily delete any one of them. Still, Angel was the savior of these recently un-petrified Digimon, so the least they could do was acknowledge her wishes and run out of the desert, back to their homes.
Angel better hope that this doesn't bite her in the ass later down the line.
After White Wolf had managed to get into Silence's vehicle, she tried to apologize to Tadayoshi in a very rushed manner, partly due to the adrenaline, and partly due to her shy Rebecca side shining through. However, she was quickly cut off by Tadayoshi completely embracing her, glad that she was safe. After a second to process what was going on, White Wolf teared up and returned the hug back.
She was thankful to be in the presence of someone she cared for again, and she hoped that this person would never be taken from her.
Sadly this reunion was cut short as her eyes caught the sight of Bootmon flying right into their car. Thankfully it was armored, so it wouldn't get any dents or any real damages. However, due to the sheer size of Bootmon, all the force was pushed onto the car, making it start to roll down the hill. White Wolf quickly put on her seatbelt, and hopefully Tadayoshi did the same, so they'd both be safe when the car came to a stop on its side.
"Why did I think this was a good idea again...?" White Wolf asked. Like Tadayoshi, she couldn't tell which way was up either. "I never thought being an idol would attract being kidnapped by a musical Donkey Kong." Eventually Scorpmon caught up to the two of them, extending a hand out. White Wolf got her seatbelt off before getting Tadayoshi's off as well. She held Tadayoshi in one arm and Scorpmon's hand with the other.
Meanwhile with Bootmon, he managed to recover soon enough to find out what he did to their car. They definitely were feeling pretty guilty about the whole thing, their hands in their face. Angel caught up with them, only to ask where Etemon was. "Your general could be seriously hurt! Try thinking about that."
Speaking of Etemon though, the two of them could hear someone... something... laughing. As the sand in the air cleared, a new Digimon became visible: MetalEtemon. It looked way tougher and way meaner than Etemon originally did.
"He... suddenly Digivolved in the middle of the fight," Bootmon growled as he got up, "and essentially turned me into a glorified bouncing ball."
"You all REALLY had to piss me off, didn't you?" MetalEtemon growled, much scarier than he was before. "You destroyed my life's work, you deleted my partner, and you destroyed my home. I guess that's what I get for underestimating the likes of you. But I won't make that same mistake again..."

Scorpmon couldn't very easily pull both the humans out of the little hole all on his own. Maybe he was a X3, but his physical strength was little better than a fit person. It didn't help that Tadayoshi couldn't do much for himself; he could hardly tell which way he was supposed to go. He had just enough sense to crawl in the direction he was being pulled, since that sure seemed to beat remaining inside the death trap. With the efforts of both his girlfriend and his self-appointed bodyguard, the boy, too, made it out of that sardine can and into the sand. "Crud, that hurts."
Scorpmon pulled the boy to his feet, but he kept his eyes away, watching for threats. "We need a higher xros, general. Target is mega." "Mega?" Yoshi was awake now! "Those fusions have never been stable before!"
"Well they need to be now, sir."
"Yeah, yeah. OK." Tadayoshi's coordination still wasn't all there. He had to fumble a little to get his Loader back in his hand. "All defuse." From two digimon sprang several more. "OK, let's try-" Yoshi was interrupted by MetalEntemon's appearance. It looked like there wouldn't be time to think about probable good combinations after all. It was just a guessing game now. "Commandramon, Angel, Jetmon, Hagurumon! Digi-Xros!" Nothing happened. To Yoshi's credit, he knew the process was instantaneous. Since it didn't happen instantly, he only waited fractions of a second before attempting another combination. It was this, or guaranteed death - rather than probable death. But time was just out. Commandramon took matters into his own hands. "Commandramon, digivolve to..." The typical light of digivolution might have been a bit less special to Tamers and other digimon, but from Commandramon, it was something rare and special. When that digimon dug deep into that special reserve of power, he was serious. At that point there was a higher calling he had to serve, and it was that desire that drove him. In this case, the desire was to protect the weak - those who couldn't save themselves from this evil digimon. Commandramon was a monster, yes... but MetalEntemon was just scum.
This was a process Tadayoshi never thought he'd witness for himself. Commandamon? Evolving? The soldier had thrown himself in front of Tadayoshi, Rebecca, and Bootmon, so that hopefully whatever happened had to go through him to reach them. "...Tankdramon!"
That's it! Tadayoshi realized, This is what was missing from a stable X4: a stronger core! Tadayoshi yelled good and strong this time, "Tankdramon! Jekyll, Hyde! Missimon!" and Jetmon's name was going to be next, but apparently that was all he needed. He had consciously invoked his power, and those named digimon came together as one so the super-evolved digimon before them became something yet still even stronger... something that could finally match MetalEntemon, perhaps? The digimon left standing in Tankdramon's place was an absolute titan. He might have squished MetalEntemon by accident if he didn't watch his step (or if he was simply very, very angry). Heck, forget about the monkey; he could have squashed his protectees. But he didn't take a step; he knew better. "...Cannondramon!"
"Time to go, lovebirds!" That was Renamon, defused from Scorpmon, urging everyone to clear out the area. "This is gonna be loud!" The rest of Silence sure as heck seemed to recognize the danger they were in standing too close to Cannondramon; the sound alone threatened to equal a hundred commercial jet engines. The fox started to pull the humans away and sprint with no regard for how fast they could run themselves. As for the others, they scattered everywhere, wherever they could escape, be that the air, up the hill, or farther downhill anywhere was better than there. Cannondramon wasted no time charging up his chest cannon, and it adjusted itself to face MetalEntemon. "Digimon hurting each other is unforgivable. But Digimon who would so grievously harm innocent humans are..." A rising high-pitched whistle warned of the imminent attack. "Irredeemable." The laser fired. Its temperature was so hot and wide that all the sand it hit liquefied. When the laser finally ceased, whatever liquid sand was left would quickly cool and solidify. Yes, Cannondramon had literally glassed a small portion of the dessert. Main Laser: This digimon fires a dangerous laser beam out of his chest cannon. This laser is capable of burning through almost anything in its path including the thickest trees, strong structures, any even several digimon if they're all in the line of fire. This attack's damage is boosted 50%. Cooldown: 2 posts. --Mobile Fortress (passive): Even though thick armor and giant cannons make this digimon a formidable threat, the downside to it all is a severe reduction in mobility that reduces this digimon's maximum speed to that of a brisk walk. The weight of the weapons and armor decreases this digimon's evasion chances by 30%, and the slow reload time of his giant guns means he can only use a named ability once every other post. However, his base damage (with named abilities only) is 250% a typical mega's damage.

"Are you okay Yoshi?" White Wolf asked after he made it out of the wrecked vehicle. "I am so sorry. I didn't want any of this to happen..."
"None of this is your fault, Wolf," Bootmon tried to reassure her, "it was all Etemon. He crashed your show, and he wanted to turn you into stone. He's also the one who threw me and... and made me land on you guys..."
Now was not the time to start moping around over what happened. The target was now at mega level, and they knew that something had to happen. Scorpmon suggested that they had to fuse into a more powerful Digimon, one that could take on a mega level threat. Tadayoshi defused Scorpmon and BlackRapidmon into several others and began to think of a fusion that they could do.
"I don't think there's time to brainstorm," White Wolf said as MetalEtemon had made his presence clear as daylight. Quickly Tadayoshi would then attempt to fuse multiple Digimon, but nothing happened. He possibly tried other combinations as well, but nothing was working.
"MetalEtemon's getting closer!"
Suddenly Commandramon stepped up as the light of digivolution had begun to shine from him. White Wolf and Bootmon looked at him with awe; they of course knew that Tadayoshi was a Xros General, so seeing a Xros Digimon Digivolve was quite the sight indeed. Before long, he evolved into Tankdramon.
MetalEtemon was surprised as well. He grew angry that these... these talentless weaklings were beginning to grow more power! He had to put an end to that before they could succeed. A dark cloud had quickly formed under the group; MetalEtemon was going to launch an attack.
"DARK SPIRITS DELUXE!"
"NO!" Bootmon yelled, sensing that this would be an all-out attack. He flew right up to where the attack was going to originate, and right then and there he took the full front of the attack. Black lightning zapped him and coursed throughout his whole body, hurting like nothing they had ever felt before.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!"
"BOOTMON!"
Bootmon would then be split apart back into Agumon and Gabumon, with both Digimon falling right into the sand. White Wolf ran over to the twins, hoping that they were both alright.
Thanks to Bootmon's sacrifice, the newly formed Cannondramon now had a clear shot at MetalEtemon. It fired a laser straight from its chest cannon right at MetalEtemon, who only had one word to say in response:
"Curtains closed."
After the laser ceased, the sand would now be complete glass and MetalEtemon was nowhere to be found. They had finally won... but Agumon and Gabumon looked to be in bad shape...

"Rebecca, wait!" Tadayoshi called after his girlfriend and tried to stop her from going back into that soup. It was a mess! He could hardly see, and he didn't know whether it was safe to go back down or not. Everything in the beam's path was literal glass, yes, but the shock wave from the blast's origin kicked enough dust and sand to simulate a sandstorm around Cannondramon. Heck, even at the distance Renamon had dragged him to, the General could still feel the thickness and electricity in the air. "Primary target neutralized," over the comm was Tadayoshi's only way of knowing the area was clear, and that was only after he had lost track of Rebecca entirely in that thick cloud. He knew he couldn't dare go in himself, or he'd just get himself lost, too.
As the dust began to clear, Tadayoshi could see his friends again. Most of them reported right back to him, as they had defused from Cannondramon. Commandramon, however, had hung back. His allies were injured, but he was soon to join their side. Each of them got an injection of anesthetic first to make them a bit more comfortable. From there he was going to have to tailor his care to the exact nature of their individual injuries. Cannondramon defused.Commandramon used Field Medicine on Agumon and Gabumon. -Field Medicine: This digimon uses its own medical supplies to heal itself or another. The target gains about 33% of the average rookie's maximum health. Outside of combat, this ability may be used to fully heal this digimon or an ally quickly between fights. Cooldown: 4 posts.

After the cloud of dust had settled, the battle was over. MetalEtemon was nothing but code now, and was on his way back to the Village of Beginnings. Hopefully in his next life he won't attempt to do anything like this ever again. It may be foolish to think so, but there is always hope.
White Wolf stood in the middle of the group, unharmed but fazed as well. Her partners had saved the group from a massive lightning attack, but they took the hit themselves and both were lying on the ground, unconscious. She fell to her knees beside the twins. It was unclear if she was crying or not, even for White Wolf herself.
"Thank you, guys..." White Wolf finally said to Agumon and Gabumon, even though they could not hear her. Commandramon used his Field Medicine ability on the twins in an attempt to heal them. Now that the battle was over, Agumon and Gabumon were both healed up completely. They both weakly opened their eyes.
"White Wolf... did... did we win?"
She couldn't help but tear up at Agumon's voice. "O-Of course we did, Agumon... Gabumon, are you okay?"
"Other than a light headache I'm as fine as can be..." Gabumon replied, lifting himself up. "I assume MetalEtemon is...?"
"Yeah, he was deleted. His code's heading back to the Village of Beginnings. You two had me so worried, that move could've killed you!"
"Sorry..." "I apologize, Rebecca..."
White Wolf let out a sigh as she pushed her hair back. "It's fine. What's important is that you're both alright. PLEASE don't worry me like that again... I can't afford to lose another."
White Wolf stood up onto her feet, where she would turn around to look at Tadayoshi. She felt so bad that he had to be roped up into this giant mess. Hell, she was embarrassed the mess even happened in the first place. This would definitely affect her feelings on concerts in the future, since any Digimon could just jump in and ruin it. DATS truly did have a point.
She walked over to her boyfriend, who would just be finished treating his team by this point. She looked at him right in the eyes, taking off her mask so that he could see them. "Thank you, Tadayoshi..." Rebecca would say before kissing Tadayoshi. Even though the concert was a disaster, hopefully a kiss would make up for most of it.
