"I'm just confused! First they tell me all this stuff, then i meet Carlos who tells me good Digimon don't wanna be eaten, now you tell me even bad Digimon can be good! This doesn't make sense! Why do my parents lie to me??" She was riding herself into a bit of a crisis here. In her emotional turmoil, her self-control slipped a bit, so Mae got to see a bunch of eyes open along the girl's neck and collarbones. And they cried! This girl was definitely a Digimon...and this was probably not a holosuit. It seems she had, by pure accident, found one of her targets.

"Well...I've only seen this sort of thing in stories or TV shows but generally they do it in those so that their kid's more loyal to them in the end, because they're 'right' in the eyes of the child. That being said, Digimon are still...well, we're still sapient creatures. Creatures capable of changing how we act, how we are..." That was a dead giveaway as to what Mae was. And speaking of those?
Eyes along the neck of the girl, along her collarbones...
...This was no holosuit in the slightest. This was a genuinely humanoid digimon. Mae stared at that with a degree of horror on her face before she shook her head in an effort to regain her composure. "...What are you, Rin?" She finally asked. Flatly.

"E-e-eh?" Rin was taken out of her drama by Mae's reaction, and realized the eyes had appeared over her body. "O-o-oh no, it happened again!" The eyes quickly disappeared, and Rin offered a weak smile. "E-e-e-eh, guess you caught me! I'm a Digimon! The ultimate Digimon in fact! That's why my parents kept telling me to eat other Digimon, as adding to my perfection was the best thing for them! But Carlos told me that's not true, so I don't do that anymore unless the Digimon is evil!... ...though I am not so sure about -that- anymore, either..." Straightforward, and clearly thoughtful. This was definitely not a Digimon that was out to cause trouble out here.

THE WHAT NOW?
Mae had a double take at that. The ULTIMATE DIGIMON? Nobody could just go and CLAIM that sort of thing out of nowhere! Unfortunately, Rin had basically given clarification that...her parents did indeed fill her head with falsehoods. "...I kind of figured you were one based off the weird smell. I just wasn't sure what kind, but...you look perfectly human otherwise."
What a strange girl. Definitely not the 'mon she had been looking for... "...Just take a few deep breaths if you feel overwhelmed by anything. So you're...supposed to be the ultimate Digimon. Did your parents by chance spawn you with the intent of grooming you into that? Heck, who...are your parents?"

Rin was flattered by the statement that she looked human. She was trying hard, after all! "Ehehehe, thanks, I try hard to look as human as I can!" Then, Mae wondered about her parents. Rin's eyes sparkled. Despite everything, she clearly thought highly of the ones who made her. "My parents? My parents are MetalifeKuwagamon and TyrantKabuterimon, two brilliant scientists, who made me to be the ultimate Digimon! They say all Digimon exist to become part of me!" She tapped her chin. "Though now that I know that Digimon -don't- want to be eaten, i wonder why my parents said that!" The idea of being tricked by them did not seem to cross her mind.

See, that statement, while it may have been innocuous, got Mae thinking about what exactly this particular Digimon was capable of. Shapeshifting? Most definitely. And of course, the parents of this strange Digimon were...two sensible individuals who didn't give themselves actual names.
So really? They could be anyone. But scientist insectoids seemed like a very particular sort of duo... "...I can probably guess why. It's probably to reinforce the prior directive of eating other Digimon." The disguised Digimon trailed off. "I'm sorry to be telling you all of this...You love your parents, don't you? Even if they tell you to do all of these things?"
See, Mae didn't really have parents when she was in her formative stages. Well, proper parents, really. She just had the one Impmon. She wasn't sure if what she was doing here was considered right or not...
