Didn't expect to find That [Ron/Diego]

Matty and Jimmy watched on as Ron seemed to be confused as to what to do next with his newly acquired spirit form. Their red eyes turned back to Diego, hoping he'd be of assistance. But to their horror, he was not. The Onmon and Musimon stepped back a little as Diego showed more than a little bit of distress. "Mate, are you okay?" Jimmy asked, carefully, looking horrified as this human went through this breakdown. He then asked why digimon just couldn't leave humans alone. Matty and Jimmy exchanged confused glances. Their parents had taught them to always treat humans respectfully, it wasn't like they chose to end up in each other's worlds, most of the time. Then they heard a new voice, apologizing. This made the twins take another step back, both of them a little worried. Their instincts told them to cuddle against each other and retreat, but, the fact that the data of the brave digimon warriors Owen and Hikaru pulsed within them, instead, they assumed a defensive stance, ten feet apart. Before their eyes, Diego spirit evolved, and then... he attacked them! Jimmy didn't see it coming, but all at once, he felt like he was being torn apart and fell to the ground, screaming in pain. Matty glared at Diego for this. "That was uncalled for, you son of a bitch!" he snarled, then hurtled forward with his attack. "Disruptor Pulse!"With that, he would punch forward, and unleash a wave of disruptive energy that would hopefully keep Diego from further use of his as of yet unknown powers. Meanwhile, on the ground, Jimmy was not yet rendered unable to attack, so he would fight to defend his brother. A pale globe of energy formed on his right ear, then with a cry of "Gleaming Bomb!" he launched it straight at Diego as well. Jimmy struggled back to his feet, panting hard, but felt honestly hurt and betrayed that Diego would fight them so suddenly. He hoped in the back of his mind that there was a reason for this madness. He and his twin were scared here. Neither of them had been trained in all-out combat like this. But, they both took deep breaths, trying to maintain control over themselves. "Diego, I don't know what we did to hurt you, but please... stop this!" Jimmy cried out. "Let's talk this out, okay?"He wanted to add further that if Diego continued this battle, they would have to call their father Owen here, but, neither Matty or Jimmy wanted that so far. They wanted to sort this misunderstanding out on their own. They turned to Ron, hoping his spirit could be of help here. Jimmy is struck by Psyclaw and experiences massive pain.Matty attacks Diego with Disruptor Pulse.
Disruptor Pulse - Matty raises one of his claw-cannons, then fires out a pulse of energy in a blast wave-like motion. For 1 turn, it will disable the passive abilities of 1 target on the battlefield up to the rookie level. Cooldown: 3 turns.Jimmy attacks Diego with Gleaming Bomb.
Gleaming Bomb - An attack inherited from Hikaru. Forms a globe of light in either his arm-hands or ear-hands and lobs it at the foe, dealing explosive Light damage.Cooldowns: Matty's Disruptor Pulse: 0/3 turns.

Ron was now starting to get worried about Diego's behavior, with how he was acting he felt that they should take a break from digimon talk. "Hey listen, Diego we can-" Just then, Ron was interrupted by another voice, it apologized before Diego transformed into Psychemon.
Ron normally would have thought this was cool, but he had a bad feeling about this. "Okay Diego, let's settle down so we can talk about-" "MOVE!" Ron instinctively moved out of the way at his spirit shouting at him, he jumped to the side and looked at the twins, only to stare in shock as he saw Jimmy on the ground in pain.
Ron had enough of this, something in him snapped and he want from his kind attitude to something angrier. "Alright that's it asshole, you don't wanna talk this through? Then let's go!" Ron then ran at Diego, bringing his fist back to punch, aiming at the face. "Quick Jab!" He yelled out, this would let him quickly jab at Diego, if this hit Diego would just be punched. Ron didn't know why he yelled out that attack name, but it was like someone was whispering attack names into his mind.
Quick Jab: Basic move.

The Disruptor Pulse was early. Too early. It was totally avoided by the very ability it meant to nullify. It wasn't obvious at first, though. After all, Jimmy's attack was perfectly accurate... as far as anyone could tell. But just when it was supposed to make contact, it's target just- "Gyah- what?" The boy had it set already! He'd already implanted the trap in the others' minds that he was where he wasn't, but that pulse managed to disrupt his illusion. The others would see his image flicker and reappear a foot to its right - Diego's true location. His illusion wouldn't fool anyone this go around.
Matty's bomb struck Diego in the chest, but when it did Matty might've felt the ear he used to throw the bomb become sluggish and sore, much more than it should have after one little motion. If he did, it was Diego's psychic influence at work; he didn't want to get hit by one of those things again any time soon.
But Ron? His punch wasn't getting far. That was an attack Diego was much more familiar with. That was how humans fought humans, and he thought he knew how to deal with it. He managed to bob to his own right enough that the Gaomon's fist just went right over his shoulder, but it didn't stop there. Diego attempted to get both of Psychemon's hands on the boxer's arm and pull it away from Ron. At the same time, he turned away and thrust his hip into Ron's body, bent himself forward, and swept one leg, meaning Ron ideally couldn't just stumble forward and keep his balance. If the maneuver worked, then the combination of Diego's effort and Ron's momentum would have carried Ron over Diego's shoulder, off the ground, and onto the ground on his back. It was a jiu-jistu throw!
"Get out of him!" Diego shrilly screeched at the Gaomon, "Get out of his head! Leave him alone!" He let go of Ron's arm, then, too, a rookie mistake. "Get out of my head!"
"I can't- he's never overpowered me before! Help me stop him!" Two- two voices from one body? This one was close to Diego's age presumably, but it was female. In her own body, Psychemon was able to communicate with the outside world. It didn't last long, though.
"Just go!"
"I can't!"
"Psyclaw!" Diego - or Psychemon? - was retreating and holding their own head in agony as their wills internally clashed. Apparently, that didn't stop Diego from continuing his mental assault on Ron. Psychic forces continued with the illusion that cuts were opening on his body for no discernible reason. Diego's passive abilities were locked this post by Disruptor Pulse.Diego was hit by Gleaming Bomb. Diego evaded Quick Jab and attempted to flip Ron as part of the maneuver. Diego added to the cooldown of Gleaming Bomb with Tired Mind. -Tired Mind: Psychemon attempts to use psychic influence to convince a target that their body is much more physically fatigued than it is. An ability of Psychemon's choice has its remaining cooldown increased by 1. Psychemon must have witnessed the ability being used in order to choose that ability. Cooldown: 2 posts. Diego attacked Ron with Psyclaw. -Psyclaw: Psychemon attempts to use psychic influence to convince an opponent that invisible claws are scratching at their body. The affected opponent can even see illusory wounds on their body, and the pain is realistic enough that this ability deals damage.
Tired Mind must cool down: 2 posts remaining.

There... Matty's attack hit true and managed to put this weird but dangerous spirit user off his feet, at least for a moment. And Jimmy's Gleaming Bomb followed soon after. The Musimon climbed back to his feet, panting, both from the pain of what he had been attacked with, as well as some... odd effect that made his usual attack seem like it took more out of him than he thought possible. They then watched as Ron, the now recently evolved spirit user attempted his attack, but it seemed that this Psychemon could handle close quarters combat very well. Then... the Psychemon seemed to speak with two voices. One shouting for them to go away, another begging for them to stop him. Matty and Jimmy quickly caught on that it seemed like Diego and his spirit were battling among themselves too. But with Diego in control currently, he was dangerous. He had already attacked Jimmy, and was now continuing his assault on Ron. The twins steeled themselves. They'd do their best here to bring this under control. After all, they were Owen and Hikaru's sons. Showing just how serious they were here, neither of them said a word as they launched their next attacks. Matty fired two blasts of electric energy from his mechanical claws, his Switch Spark attack, while Jimmy inhaled, gathered his energy, then launched a blast of sound directly at the Psychemon, his Rock On! attack. The twins didn't want to kill this individual outright, they just wanted to end hostilities. Hopefully this display would help convince them that this battle was pointless to continue. Matty uses Switch Spark to attack Psychemon.
Switch Spark - Matty raises his claw-cannons, then fires 2 blasts of electrical energy at the foe.Jimmy uses Rock On! to attack Psychemon.
Rock On! - Jimmy takes a moment to charge, then emits a roar of sound both from his mouth and the speakers on his person. He's able to concentrate a heavy blast of sound damage directly in front of him, damaging those within 5m of wherever he's targeting for a range of 100m. [Cooldown: 1 turn]Cooldowns: Matty's Disruptor Pulse: 1/3 turns.Jimmy's Gleaming Bomb: 1/1 turns. [ready] Jimmy's Rock On!: 0/1 turns.

Ron's brilliant strategy of running straight at Diego surprisingly didn't work, who would have thought? Ron's eyes widened a bit as he missed, and he was unable to do anything to prevent being flipped, only thing he was able to do in response is exclaim "Oh crap!".
He fell on the ground, groaning in pain, he expected his back to hurt more, but to his surprise he was feeling okay. He got up, and rubbed his back, which was just slightly sore. "Wow, how the heck did that not hurt that much?" He asked out loud, to which his spirit responded. "One of the perks of having the body of a digimon, but stay focused, this kid is still violent. Oh, and this time don't just rush in and leave a giant opening like that, okay? I had hoped you would have had more common sense about combat." His spirit said to him.
Ron remembered the situation he was in and turned back to Diego, grumbling, and keeping his gloves up in a boxer position. "Hey, that was *one* moment of confusion, he just attacked me out of nowhere!" Ron shouted out loud, but got no response from his spirit. "What, deciding to go back to not talking? Man you are not a good conversationalist."
Ron almost didn't catch Diego's next attack, but when he was attacked he started to panic a little, his mind was racing for what to do. Then an idea came to mind, and he quickly said "Box Guard!", he then covered his face, closed his eyes and braced for the attack. He opened his eyes after a moment when he felt no pain from the attack, he looked himself over and laughed a little.
He stayed back and tried to think of a good strategy to take on Diego, this kid could really hurt him so he had to have a good opening, or some plan of attack.
Box Guard: Can block one Rookie level attack, or reduce a champion's by half.[Cooldown left: 2 turns]

OOC: Since Diego's on hiatus, I intend to end this with an intervention. Hopefully it's fine with Rowlet.
Unbeknownst to most of the participants of the hunt, Owen was actively observing them from the sky. He had evolved to his Ultimate level MachGaogamon form. From his vantage point, he tracked their progress, making sure they weren't cheating, or slacking off. But above all, he was making sure they were safe. Satisfied with the rest of the class, Owen then turned his sights to his twin sons to see how they were going. And to his horror, he saw that they were in a combat situation with a hostile digimon! No... not that, a spirit wielder? And... there was a second spirit wielder fighting at their side? Owen could not tolerate this situation during this test. At once, the MachGaogamon dived down to the ground. He did not engage with the Psychemon that was fighting his children and the human who was wielding the spirit of a Gaomon like himself. He simply swooped down, scooped the three of them up in his mechanical hands, then flew away back to the starting point. "I am so sorry that you had to go through that, boys." Owen spoke to the three of them. "I didn't mean for that to happen at all. Are you okay? I can heal you if you need it..."Before long, he landed at the starting point, letting Matty, Jimmy and Ron disembark onto solid ground, hoping they were all fine. "Thanks, dad." Matty said, seriously. "Jimmy took a full hit from that digimon. He needs healing more than I do."Jimmy grumbled a bit about Matty revealing that, but would accept it as a fact. Their attention would turn to Ron about how he was faring here.
