"So, is that a yes or a no?" Silversteamdramon asked again. Elson was still way to confused about all this "digimon" thing to pay attention. It all seemed too...unnatural. And this Silversteamdramon guy, who claimed to be his partner and devoted soldier for the rest of it`s life, had this cold tone on its voice. Not that Elson cared about voice tones or what people said, it was just that it`s words were so fluent and organic, that it didn`t make sense to believe this thing had no feelings, despite the fact that it said to be a machine creature made out of data. "My general, are..."
"Don`t call me that!" Elson interrupted. He didnt like the way the "digimon" kept calling him "my general". He liked the idea of being a general, yes, beacuse he enjoyed medieval warfare tactics, but that was just theory. This thing seemed to be serious about it. Like they were going to fight. Elson had nothing against fighting, it was just that...why? Why him? What would they fight about? And was this "fusion loader" that Silversteamdramon had immediatly recognized?
"Well, that`s what you are, so that`s what I will call you. And besides you haven`t answered my question." It insisted. There it was again. Being cold in it`s speech tone, in its thougths... but that couldn`t be real, the machine was obviously excited about it`s request.
"Okay, fine. We can call ourselves Team Silversteam... Just please get off me" Elson commented. Silversteamdramon only realized at that point that it was standing on Elson.
"Well, then, let`s go eat something. I heard you humans do that all the time." Silversteamdramon started to move out and walk in the direction of the market. It was excited, but it couldn`t let Elson see. He was it`s general and Silversteamdramon could only show him strenght and utility. Nothing else. It had to seem cold... |

"Taka, when are we finally getting for this train? I think I'm starting to get sick..." the little Fufumon known as Ryu said to his human companion in a somewhat sick voice. "Well, agree that we have been on this Trailmon creature for a very long time, so I don't see the problem in getting off at the..." Before Takahiro could finish his sentence, the trailmon's passenger compartment opened up and flung the pair off the train.
"Hey, what did you do that for?" he angrily shouted at the Trailmon. The train-like digimon replied: "You were going to tell me to drop you off at the first convenience weren't you? Well, this is it. Farewell, I have a schedule to keep!"
After picking himself and his partner up off the ground, Takahiro took a good like at his surroundings. They were in some sort of cavern, decorated with wiring and metal. There were digimon all around them in what seemed to be some sort of marketplace. "Are you kidding me? Are all of the inhabitants here digimon?" he asked Ryu, who seemed happier than ever.
"Mostly. As I told you, this is the digital world, home to digital monsters like myself. However, I know for a fact THAT over there is not a digimon," the little orange blob continued while nudging its horn towards a strange metal digimon and a human walking in their direction. "Well I'll be damned..." Takahiro muttered, looking in the direction the fresh-stage digimon 'pointed' in.

" Sorry about that. I didn't know you humans were so picky about their food." Silversteamdramon said as they walked out, with Elson still spitting.
"You call that food? Excuse me if I ain't a small dragon machine, but we organic folk don't usually eat porks and screws!" Elson shouted at it, angry. It had not been a good auprise to find such things in a pizza.
"Well then what do you eat?" Silversteamdramon asked in a passive manner, like it was trying to ignore Elson's anger. And in fact it was, because it knew he was angry, but couldn't show emotion. Fortunatly for Silversteamdramon, a digimon and what should be it's human partner got spit out of a train just in time, providing the perfect excuse to change the subject. "Hey there's another human. Let's go greet him. Her. It. I don't know, honestly."
It was a sudden, but welcome change for Elson. Maybe another human in this crazyland would help simplifying things. " It's a him."He quickly replied, starting walk towards the newcomers. As he reached them, he started to break the ice:
"Hey, are you guys ok? Who are you? I am..."
"We are team silversteam!" Silversteamdramon interrupted.

Takahiro cracked a smile as he saw the other human spitting out pieces of 'food' all over the place and discussing it with the metal digimon. They had noticed them and were moving in closer.
"Hey, are you guys ok? Who are you? I am..." the human said before being rudely interrupted by the digimon at his side finishing his sentence for him: "We are team silversteam!".
"Hello, I'm pleased to meet you two. My name is Takahiro and this here is Ryu. Say, you wouldn't happen to know anything about this crazy place would you?" Takahiro said before quickly throwing a bunch of other questions behind his first one. "Do you know what this place is, what these so-called 'digimon' are and why I found these in my backpack back in the human world?" showing both newcomers the two strange devices he received along with the egg his digimon hatched from.
Before he could ask even more questions, Ryu interrupted him by asking some questions of his own: "So the place we just came from is called the 'human world' then isn't it? Does that mean you're called a human? You never told me you know?"
Takahiro's face got slightly red as he realized he never told Ryu anything about his own world while bombarding the poor thing with all sorts of questions about the digital world. "Well, I hope that these guys can answer both our questions," he said, looking back at the pair that called themselves team Silversteam.

Elson looked at the divices Takario was holding. Elson he didn`t have either of them, but perhaps they could have something in common with his "fusion loader", so he took it out. "Takahiro is holding a digivice and something else I have never heard of, but the ain`t fusion loaders, my general" Silversteamdramon simply commented, earning na angry look from Elson, who put his fusion loader back in his pocket and moved on to try to answer Takahiro`s questions. "I told you to stop calling me that, Silversteamdramon. As for you, Takahiro my name is Elson and well, I think if there is something you and I share is being newbies around here. But I will try to explain you what this...guy or thing, told me. We are basicly in a "digital world", a world interily made out of computer data (don`t ask me how that is possible) that inhabited by these "digimon", some sort of bisarre creatures, apperently also made out of data. Some of them have human partners, called generals..." "No, only those with fusion loaders are generals, the others are spirit wielders and mostly tamers." Silversteamdramon interrupted again, once more earning an angry look from Elson. "Stop interrupting me!" "There seems to be a lot of things you want me to stop doing, my general." "That`s because you aren`t stopping any of them. Now, where was I? Oh, yes, these human partners have fusion loaders...dont interrupt me now, Silversteamdramon... and other divices. This is as far as I go, I guess. But you came here in a train. Where does it go to? The human world?" Suprisingly, Silversteamdramon was also very curious about the train, but it holded itself back from asking.

"Ah, so this thing is called a Digivice then?" Takahiro inquired when Silversteamdramon tried to explain the difference to his general.
"I could have told you that, you know?" Ryu quickly replied, not wanting to be left out of the conversation again. "What? Why didn't you say anything all this time? I mean what else haven't..." Before either of them could speak again, Elson properly introduced himself and started answering their earlier questions, prompting the pair to be quiet and listen to him, putting his Digivice and the other piece of equipment in his pockets.
After hearing him out, Takahiro was slightly less confused about the whole thing. "I think I understand, so this entire world is made out of data? And if I get what you're saying, some of the digimon have human partners while others are on their own. Interesting, I wonder how what this connection between humans and digimon means. Could Ryu be my partner digimon?" he rambled. "Excuse me, you were asking about the train weren't you?" Takahiro has not sure if he could trust Elson and his companion, so he hesitated a bit before telling him the story of how he got here.
"There was this door in the Shibuya Train Terminal that somehow reacted to my 'Digivice' as you called it. Then we met this odd, talking train that offered us a ride to the digital world, claiming he had been sent to pick us up."
"We got on the Trailmon and next thing we know we're in the digital world. I only remember us going into what seemed to endless nothingness, but we passed through and arrived at Terminal City. Both me and Taka don't like overly busy places though, so we stayed on the Trailmon," the horned orange blob interrupted, annoyed at the fact he was once again left out of the conversation.
"Hey, don't take on any bad manners from Silversteamdramon," Takahiru sneered at his partner. "Anyway, we stayed on that Trailmon thing until Ryu said he felt ill. I implied that we'd like to get off at the earliest convenience, which I wasn't expecting to be right on the spot by the way. That Trailmon just went on without us, where did he say he was going again?"
"The ruins of Rustport and then to The Village Of Beginnings," Ryu mumbled, answering Takahiro's question.
"Thank you Ryu. Anyway, there must not be many Trailmon stopping by here if that's the first one you saw. I get the impression you haven't been around here for much longer than I have," he continued. Suddenly he heard a loud noise, sort of like a stomach growling.
"Err, can we maybe get something to eat now?" Ryu quipped. "I'm starving. Digimon need lots of energy you know?"
Takahiro laughed and turned towards Silversteamdramon and Elson. "How about finding a place to eat something? I'm pretty hungry myself after the trip here."
(OOC: No need to apologize, we're going at an incredible pace for RP terms even with your lunch break taken into account.)

Elson felt his stomach growl.
"Unlike what Silversteamdramon will tell you, there doesn't seem to be anything for us non-machines to eat around this place. I tried to eat a pizza just a little while ago, and I only finished spitting out the screws and porks like, half an hour later, by the time we saw you getting thrown off that train."
"There are other places to eat around here, my general, you just forgot to tell me you wanted "flesh food". How was I supposed to know you wanted something for biological creatures when you asked for a pizza? I know a guy who will make a fibe deal for that kind of food." Silversteamdramon interviened. Elson was shocked that Silversteamdramon knew a place to eat properly and instead guided him to that other restaurant.
"I guess it's better than nothing. Shall we go?" Elson asked the other two.
(OOC: Yes, I know, I try to keep all my characters as active as possible. I love DFRP, but please don't get me wrong I am not addicted.) |

"Yeah, I saw that when you were walking towards us earlier," Takahiro replied with a grin on his face. "No matter how hungry I am, I sure wouldn't want to eat anything like that."
"I can't take this any more, I'm going with them!" his partner digimon said as he slithered after Elson and Silversteamdramon with a speed you wouldn't expect from such a little creature, not to mention a hungry one.
Takahiro still wasn't entirely sure whether he could trust any of the three he was entering the restaurant with, be he decided to play along for now. After all, if his coming to the digital world had any kind of purpose, and he wanted find out what it was. He sat down at the table where Ryu had already taken place and waved the others to come over and sit with them.
"So, let's talk some more. Do you think it's a coincidence that we both ended up here with these digimon partners?" he asked his fellow human being while gesturing the Hagurumon waiter that he wanted the same thing Ryu had ordered. "I mean, surely there is some sort of purpose or reason for us being here? From what you told me I guess you just ended up here for no apparent reason, while I got all these strange things that led me here..."
(OOC: I've gotta go do some things now, so don't expect my next reply for a couple of hours. If you want to, you can create a larger post containing events within the restaurant.)

"Well, there is a meaning for everything...thought it may hard to know what it is... We all get to the place we are suppose to, we just choose how we get there. And actually,I was roaming around Shuybuia yesterday or today it's hard to discern time stuck in this cave. No offense Silversteamdramon. I found a shining thing a went to see what it was. This" Elson said and took out the "fusion loader from his pocket "My fusion loader. I just grabbed it and a portal opened beneath me and I got sucked into this place. It's pretty weird, but I think I got that by now. Oh look, here comes our...what the...?"
The hagurumon waiter carried four plates filled with this strange, disgusting looking thing. It was green and hairy.
" This is the FOOD? Silversteamdramon, what did you mean by "flesh food"? Does anyone around here even know the meaning of "eatable"?"
The Hagurumon was angry at them.
" Look, eat it or don't eat it. But if you wanted top organic creature cousinse, you won't find it in miles. Food you people can eat isn't common around here, especially with this quality! At least your friend knows how to appreciate the work of a fine cook."
Elson turned to sew Silversteamdramon eat furiously and mechanically, and shivered. No pleasure or disgust, all it did what to put the food in it's mouth and chew, then stuff more in, like a one machines that smash cars.
" I wouldn't call it appreciatte."
But a small group of strange rock-made digimon in table next to them turned to them.
" You are humans aren't ya? My boss has something for ya. Come with me and my bros and we might cut you a deal. What do you say to a nice, hot steak. And I don't mean the slimy blob they serve ya here, I mean real steak." Said one of them
" And you people are?" Silversteamdramon asked, intrigued.
" We are Gotsumons. Come folks, yes or no?"
" No" Elson replied. He didn't trust this people.
" Well then we're gonna to take ya digivices by force" The Gotsumon said and the entire groip of them jumped off it's chair.
Silversteamdramon also jumped off it's chair and drawes it's sword. Were they about to have a bar fight. Why did these people want Elson's fusion loader and Takahiro's digivice?" |

Takahiro was carefully listening to everything Elson said, subconsciously nodding at everything he agreed with. He also got to take a look at a Fusion Loader, which looked kind of similar to his own Digivice but clearly a very different device.
The food was served and Elson was already making a fuss about it and Takahiro could easily see why. "Well, I think I just lost my appetite again, what is this supposed to be? Ryu, why in the world did you order this stuff?"
"Well, this was the only thing that looked remotely edible by someone who's not a robot like you, me or Elson. By the process of elimination, this was the logical thing to order," Ryu replied, not sure where his tamer's anger came from. "Besides, it doesn't look terribly bad does it?" he continued, almost drooling over the disgusting piece of green, hairy meat on the plate in front of him.
The Hagurumon waiter shouted something at the group while Silversteamdramon had already started assaulting the 'thing' on his plate. Neither of these things had Takahiro's full attention though, as he was carefully observing the Gotsumon over at the next table looking in his direction from time to time. Then they suddenly turned in the direction of the four newcomers and started an argument with Elson and Silversteamdramon.
"Ryu, I have a very bad feeling about this. Should we leave? These rock-looking guys don't seem very trustworthy," Takahiro asked his partner, who was carefully listening to what was being said. "No, let's hear them out. I heard one of them talk about a 'steak'. That sounds absolutely delicious!"
The entire group of Gotsumon suddenly jumped out of chairs, indicating that the time for small talk was over. "Well then we're gonna to take ya digivices by force," one of them said.
"Well this is a fine mess you've gotten us into!" Takahiro shouted at Silversteamdramon, who had already drawn his sword and had taken up a fighting position between the two groups. "I have an idea, get your Digivice ready." Ryu said as he swallowed the green blob of meat whole and proceeded to jump off his chair right next to Silversteamdramon. Takahiro searched his pocket for his Digivice and took it out. It was once again brimming with light just as it had when it opened the door to the abandoned platform back in Shibuya. However, this time the screen was lit up and read a single word: "DIGIVOLUTION"
Ryu began to radiate a strange light and started changing its form into something different. "Fufumon digivolved to... Kyokyomon!" he shouted in a voice that got slightly lower towards the end of his sentence. Takahiro was flabbergasted; instead of an orange blob with a horn standing before him, there was this small snake-like creature with some draconian features on it.
"You won't be taking anything from these humans, you filthy scum!" Ryu shouted at the group of Gotsumon. "Ryu, get back here, you may have grown a bit but you're still a little mouse compared to those things. You'll get crushed!" a worried Takahiro said to his newly digivolved partner.
"Listen to your master you little pipsqueak, you cannot possibly best us. Such brave words for such a small creature, it's too bad words won't help you here though. Now hand over those blasted Digivices!" the Gotsumon replied.
"Silversteamdramon, are you ready?" a confident-looking Ryu whispered, nodding in the direction of the much larger metallic digimon next to him. "Get out of here before anyone gets hurt. Oh wait, it's too late for that already seeing as you've already made a threat against us. Well I've got a little something for you in that case!" Ryu then took a deep breath...
"PYRO PUFF!" he uttered as a small spark of dragon's fire made it's way from the in-training digimon's mouth to the Gotsumon's leader.

Elson watched with amazement as Takahiro`s digimon transformed from a Fufumon to a Kyokyomon.
"Wow, is that what this devices do? Takahiro`s digimon certanly looks a lot more dangerous, so I guess I can see why these gotsumon want our devices..." Elson commented to Silversteamdramon
"Actually, only digivices allow normal digivolution like that, my general, fusion loaders..." Silversteamdramon started to explain, not even giving Elson a chance to complain about being called "my general" again, when Ryu shot what could be called a "fire-ball" against the gotsumon. Unfortunatly he missed, but Elson was confident. Sure, they outnumbered them, but if Ryu could spit fire and Silversteamdramon had na eletrified sword, and these guys were weaponless, how could they stand a chance against Elson, Takahiro and their partners?
"Let`s get `em boys! Rock Fist!" The gostumon shouted together, raising their arms. Three large bolders appeared above each of them and came straight to them Many of them missed, but some actually hit Silversteamdramon, even Elson.
"Where did THAT come from?" Elson asked.
"My general, when I strike you got to run, got me?" Silversteamdramon whispered to Elson. He didn`t like the idea of running, but he had realised these gotsumons were not so weaponless afterall AND they outnumbered them.
"Ok, Silversteamdramon, but you got to run too." Elson whispered back to his partner and turned to Takahiro. "When Silversteamdramon attacks, he will be distracting the gotsumons to give us time to leave. Grab Ryu and come."
Almost immediatly, Silversteamdramon charged , shouting:
"Silversteam!"
A cloud of smoke arouse around it and filled the entire restaurant as Elson left. Silversteamdramon stroke one of the gotsumons with it`s sword and left too.
As they run outsider, Elson could see people staring at them. Well not people, digimon. But one in particular got his attention. It wore a long, white mantle and had grey hair which covered a blue dragon-like head. It`s face was covered in wooden mask that was shaped like an ant. Just like many others it was staring right at them, but something was off. Unlike everyone else that particular digimon didn`t seem to have interrupted anything to look, like if it was expecting them.
Elson turned to see if Takahiro and Ryu where following him and Silversteamdramon still.
(OOC: I will be leaving for 3 days today. I don`t know exactly when, just that it is today. So we got until that hour today to Rp and then we will have to wait 3 days to continue this thread of ours. Sorry) |

Ryu looked so brave trying to protect the group, even spitting a little fireball at one of the Gotsumon. Unfortunately it missed its target and set the tablecloth of the table the rock digimon had been sitting at on fire instead. "That's not fair, that table is not what I was aiming for!" Ryu muttered, clearly still adjusting to his new form.
The leader of the Gotsumon gang spoke again: "Let`s get `em boys! Rock Fist!"
A bunch of boulders flew through the restaurant, crashing into tables left, right and center while only a few actually hit their targets. Ryo took one straight to the face though, flinging him backward onto Takahiro. "At least I tried..." Ryu managed to say before passing out in his tamer's arms.
The other pair then offered to create a distraction so the others could get away."When Silversteamdramon attacks, he will be distracting the gotsumons to give us time to leave. Grab Ryu and come," Elson whispered to him.
Having absolutely no objections to getting out of the place as fast as they could, Takahiro quickly put Ryu in a better position to carry and started moving out of the restaurant as soon as Silversteamdramon had shouted his "Silversteam" attack.
When they got outside, a multitude of digimon were staring at them, making Takahiro almost as uncomfortable as he usually is when people stare at him at the Shibuya Train Terminal while waiting for the train to arrive. Elson looked behind him, presumable to check if the rest were still there. "I'm okay, and I think I hear Silversteamdramon moving this way as well," he shouted at Elson.
Then he noticed a strange digimon in a white mantle looking at them, but not in the same way as the other bystanders were looking at them. No, this odd digimon seemed to have been expecting them for some reason.
"Elson, I don't think I like the looks of this," Takahiro said to Elson after having finally caught up with him. "We need to get out of here while we can before local security forces find us," he continued. "I saw a few robot-like digimon patrolling the streets when I first arrived here, and somehow I don't think they would take our word as outsiders over that of the local residents."

Indeed Silversteamdramon was running towards them. They all snicked into a corner, trying hide from possible chasers.
" My general, didn't we forget to pay the bill?" Silversteamdramon asked. It had that cold, mechanical tone of voice again. That combined with the latest incident was starting to freak Elson out.
" I think having in consideration our situation, there is no need for us to come back there.Really I just want to get away from those guys as possible,as they be after us... In fact, I think I saw someone spying us while we were running, disguiced as another member of the crowd. Any thoughtson how to get away unseen?" Elson replied filled with tension. What did they get themselfs into? And suddenly, something snapped. "Silversteamdramon, exactly how many trains pass through here a day?"
"None, my general. There are 3 trains here a week, on a good week. You see, this place is the middle of the folder desert."
Elson was a bit shaken. They were in a desert? No way out? It explained the problem with the food, but didn't really provide a solution.

Tucked inside a corner so that no-one could see them, the group started to get some more answers as to where exactly they were. Takahiro could not believe what Silversteamdramon had just said. "We're in the middle of a freaking desert?" he exclaimed. "No wonder why we spent ages in an underground tunnel on the way here, the Trailmon would probably have overheated if it traveled above ground".
"T-T-Taka?" Ryu said in a very weak voice. "Ryu, are you all right?" a worried Takahiro asked his brave little digimon. "You had me worried there when you decided to take those Gotsumon head-on. They were like 10 times your size, and did I mention there was a LOT of them there in that restaurant?"
"I'm sorry; I was just trying to protect you. You are my...friend, Takahiro," Ryu said, now talking in a more healthy-sounding voice.
"I'm your what? We've just met for goodness sake," Takahiro replied. "It doesn't matter. I believe that destiny has brought us together, and you proved that to me when you saved my life by carrying me out of that place," Ryu continued.
Takahiro blushed slightly, confused but flattered at the same time that someone actually called him a friend. "It was nothing really, I couldn't just leave you there to die now could I?" he said, smiling at the miniature dragon.
"Actually, digimon don't die as they don't have a true physical form. They are simply deleted while their data gets abs..." Before Ryu could finish his sentence, Takahiro put his hand over the creature's mouth. "Do you hear that Elson? I think I hear a Trailmon coming!"
"But Silversteamdramon said that only three trains come through here each week, are you absolutely sure?" Ryu remarked."Okay guys; let's make a run for it. As soon as that Trailmon gets close, we will run towards it and either jump into an open door or grab onto its end" Takahiro continued.
The sound came closer and closer, and Ryu realized that his partner was right once more - it was indeed a Trailmon, coming from the opposite direction to the one they came from earlier.
"NOW!" Takahiro shouted, as he left his hiding place with Ryu under his arm, ran a good 20 meters and jumped into the passenger compartment of an oddly familiar Trailmon. "Come on Elson, hop on!" he shouted towards the other human and his steel companion.

Elson started run. he couldn't believe their luck. Why on Earth could one of the trains be here schedule? But his thoughts were interrupted by Silversteamdramon:
'Elson, I ain't fast enought to just run for it! Load me into your fusion loader! You just have to say 'load Silversteamdramon"!
Elson did as it said and Silversteamdramon turned into a flashing ball of light which flyed into Elson's fusion loader. And he jumped into the "trailmon", just in time, because about by the time he did so, the group of gotsumons show up seemingly yelling something at them in anger.
