Well, this particular casino had always a pleasant place to stop by, so a particular Baalmon figured it'd be a wonderful opportunity to make some pocket cash doing tarot readings here. With his trusty security detail of a single capeless Grademon, he was currently engaging a...crimson and blue Veemon in what seemed to be a rather turbulent argument. At one point, a chair was even thrown in a direction that was conspicuously similar to where some crazy plantlike abomination with fur that really shouldn't exist was.
...In the mean time, an azure Wormmon crawled up to Amaranthus and Kenny's table. "...Sorry to bother you, Miss Ammy, but a new name on your list is close. Might want to clear house if you wanna take him out, but otherwise, you do you." The Wormmon glanced to the Mephistomon X's company.
Huh, another Digimon he hadn't seen before. The past few weeks were having those pop up like ants from the woodwork. Neat.

Amaranthus chuckled heartily at Kenny's reaction, it clear he had not been expecting it… Honestly, she felt quite at ease around Kenny, Skadi, and Odin. It was almost as if her heart opened up slightly to show a more tender side to the demoness. Heck, it took Kenny's pointing out just how helpful she had been… far more than she felt she should have been honestly.
"Hmm… Nice? Oh dear, that just can't do… I do have an image to keep up with after all. Beingirthfully malicious is harder to keep up than you'd think!" she dwelled, actually seemingly contemplative for a moment. Still, she couldn't help but be appreciative to the trio… it WAS a fun conversation at the very least. There was also something refreshing about seeing someone conquer their initial fears… coming all this way to Tenebrous to deliver an item to a demon took guts after all. "Well, if people ask… Just say you caught me in a good mood. It'll be our little secret ~" she ended up adding, letting out a playful giggle.
Her cheery mood however waned as she noticed the ocean-blue Wormmon crawl up… the promise of query of hers being nearby. She knew Tenebrous was a hive of treachery for sure, but she didn't expect for someone to try and do her job for her with tracking her list's victims. "... Is that so, huh?" she ended up mumbling, pointing her parasol at the rookie and prodding it. "More importantly, how do YOU know that a target of mine is here? First time I've seen your face around here…" she ended up adding, accusing and all-around suspicious tone to her voice.
She had all the right to be suspicious, but if a target WAS here? Well… she was going to have to have to cut this lovely conversation short… Shame too, she was enjoying it! "Tell me who the sonuffabitch is and where they're at now. This BETTER not be just you fuckin' with me, jellybean." she ended up somewhat irritably asking the Wormmon, summoning forth her list and silently reading it herself.

...Huh. Had Scarab really not been around in his rookie form very often? "Perhaps this face of mine. I might've had to take a vacation in the other world on account of this guy. I know this because I put the hit out on this particular target. Doing crap I don't quite approve of after getting a serving of reality." The Wormmon remained calm, notably. Even with that dangerously-close-to-a-swear near the end.
"Ever hear of Gyo the Scaled? He's behind me, making a bunch of fuss at that poor Baalmon's tarot stand. Even with a trusty bodyguard with a...weirdly high Meicoomon kill count there." The Wormmon made a gesture towards what he was talking about in specific, a good number of feet away.
So, what -was- going on?
Well, for one, the Veemon had digivolved into a crimson and blue ExVeemon and slammed a fist down on the table of the stand. "You gonna explain to me why the hell you decided to turn tail back there?" The Baalmon was doing his best to keep his cards sorted, and in one place. "No, not really. Don't see why you care so much. It's not like you got what the youth calls, 'memed on' by a stupid cat or something, right?"
"We didn't eve--"
"No. Shut up. If you don't have any actual business here, then get the fuck out before I let my good friend here add some dragon to the list of things that he's fed some steel to."
...Well, it SEEMED pretty tense?

Never in a single day in Kenny's entire life that he thought he would ever find himself in a situation where he and his friends would be having a friendly conversation with a she-devil, much less have one flirt with him. But, still, this was a genuinely pleasing experience for him. However, the Mephistomon X's words seemed to hint her usual cruel behaviour was merely a persona she put on. Still, Odin decided to say something here with one of his own quips, "Don't you worry, lady. You have my-" He was quickly interrupted to the sound of a chair hitting the floor with a loud thump, startling the three.
Much to the group's surprise, however, a blue Wormmon had casually waltzed up to the table, making our trio turn and look at them in confusion. Their tone and mannerism had indicated they knew the Mephistomon X, but supposedly, Amaranthus wasn't completely buying it, as she looked over her list, forcing the Wormmon to bring up 'Gyo the Scaled'.
Skadi tilted her head quizzically, "Wait, who's Gyo, anyways?" She didn't need to wait for long to get her answer, as the loud fist slam on the table and subsequent shouting got her's, Kenny's and Odin's attention to a dark coloured ExVeemon with a Baalmon. An ordinary, albeit capeless, Grademon had accompanied the Baalmon in turn as a sort of bodyguard, but from what they could see, things had been pretty heated from up there.
What were they to do now? Well, for one, as KIZNA, Kenny and Skadi had to help keep the peace, and Odin had come along to help them through thick and thin. But on the other hand, they just started to bear witness to the situation, and it was all threatening to derail horribly, not too dissimilar to what threatened to happen back in Golden Week.
The three stayed silent for a few moments, not sure what to say, while watching the situation play out in front of them. After it finished, Kenny leaned down to Skadi to whisper to her, "Should we do anything about this, Skadi? I'm not sure myself, I really don't want to be caught in the potential crossfire here."
"I won't lie." Skadi admitted, "I'm not sure what to do here, either. I just feel it's a little too early to judge right now, and I don't want us to get in a lot of trouble. I say we keep our heads down, and just hope things calm down quickly." With that, the two would straighten back up, and look back at Amaranthus, looking back and waiting for her response.

Gyo the Scaleless? Now that was a name that she has heard of… sure enough, it was midway down her list still. Her list's text rearranged itself to the provided description the official bounty had, which happened to be a perfect match. Seeing the crimson Veemon-family Digimon. himself seemingly causing a ruckus for that Baalmon and their Grademon companion got a chuckle out of the goat, she pleasantly surprised. "Well speak of Daemon's cloak… You weren't kidding there, pumpkin." she giddily spoke, only snapping back to reality at Kenny's question. "Thuggish extremist. Many Digimon have a pretty damn low opinion of you humans, some taking it way too far. A lil' birdie told me that he and some cronies he gathered up staged a ruckus in the human world, though some had second thoughts and some goodie-two-shoes wiped the floor with him… doesn't mean Terminus City doesn't have a bone to pick with him and anyone else they find who was working with him. Gyo alone has ten-thousand bits for his head!"
It was fortunate perhaps that Scarab was keeping his own identity a secret, cause would have Amaranthus lashed at him too? Well, depends if he had a bounty on his head yet… she didn't deal with small-time crooks after all.
Amaranthus cracked her knuckles briefly, smiling to herself as she glances down at Scarab. "Well… You are certainly a bit of a snitch, aren't you? Well, fortunately aunt Ammy welcomes snitches whole-heartedly ~ !" she teased, she holding out her parasol as it shifted into the form of a decrepit violin. Taking the violin bow that Kenny and his friends delivered to her, she smiled at the trio. "Forgive me, I do have some business to attend to. Violent business, you know? You all were wonderful to talk to, and I hope we can continue another time. As a token of appreciation, I'd like to invite you all to take a seat… for I have a show to perform for you all, I insist!"
It might have been an odd request, but it was her way of showing gratitude in a way… fights were like an artform, she a painter and her foe her canvas. Her desire to beautifully destroy her enemies' wills was the driving force that guided her when all seemed directionless.
She would make Gyo into a masterpiece!
As the ExVeemon perhaps continued to argue with his former comrade, a sickening sound to his ears would fill his eardrums... similar to a claw on a chalkboard. For everyone else though? A beautiful sonata that was as delicate as an angel's wings. Sure enough, the demoness was playing the violin skillfully before soon pausing… eagerly waiting for Gyo's response. "You seem irritable. Did my tune not help?" the demoness teased, bowing courteously. "Good evening, Gyo. My name is Amaranthus, and I shall be kicking your teeth in before I drag you to your new hell… Or I could just kill you right now. I'm in a good mood, so consider yourself lucky." she spoke with a cocky tone, befitting her seemingly fraulein-esque appearance.
The latter would certainly be less painful than what she would be doing if he tried to resist... something she was almost positive would happen.

Kenny, Skadi and Odin listened to Amaranthus intently about who Gyo the Scaled was. And oddly enough, the Mephistomon X's description of the aforementioned 'thuggish extremist' sounded a little familiar to the KIZNA duo. They hadn't forgotten the sight of Tiger and Jiro flying through the night sky at the end of the Golden Week incident, which waved quite a few red flags for them. And Archnemon did have a similar bone to pick with humans herself...
And as it turned out, that ExVeemon had quite the bounty on him, fetching a cool 10,000 bits for presumably his death or capture. While unaware of what he was truly capable of, it would be of no surprise to even a dead goldfish that his seemingly low reputation and hefty bounty would land him onto the Mephistomon X's hit list. Speaking of, they would watch as Amaranthus would walk off, but not before thanking them for their company and inviting them to watch. The three would smile back, with Kenny replying, "Not a problem, Ammy. I have to admit, you were actually quite the pleasant surprise."
Meanwhile, Skadi would happily wave to the Mephistomon X, "Thanks, Auntie Ammy! It was really nice talking to you tonight!"
But it wasn't like they were going to ignore the blatant elephant in the room; the other Digimon that may be caught in the potential crossfire. Of course they trusted Amaranthus to focus on Gyo, and Gyo alone. Gyo himself... not so much. The resounding sonata coming from the Mephistomon X's violin sounded as beautiful, as it was eerie, like if the shadow of death was looming. It was enough to send shivers down one's spine. Kenny got up for a moment as Amaranthus went to deal with Gyo, and whispered in Odin's ear, "Odin, go try and clear the casino of any bystanders around here, just in case things get a little... out of hand. Me and Skadi will keep an eye on these 2 for now. OK?" The Peckmon nodded, and would set off to try and clear out the others around. Things certainly would get pretty messy.
With that, Kenny sat down next to Skadi, and pulled out his D-Nexus, attempting to discreetly scan the ExVeemon. While this happened, he looked down to his partner, "Best we stay put for a bit. But if bad comes to worse, we'll jump into the fight. And try to help Ammy take down Gyo. Sound good?" Skadi nodded once.
"I won't lie, Kenny. I'm actually pretty nervous about what's gonna happen. But whatever does happen, I'll make sure that neither you, Odin or Ammy will come to any harm." She smiled, "After all, that what makes a great hero, right?"
"Attagirl, Skadi." Kenny grinned, before lightly ruffling the Valaismon's hair. Members of KIZNA were required to keep the peace within both worlds, and potentially taking down a vicious Digimon with a big bounty, especially one with an anti-human vendetta like Gyo, would help to make the streets safer for any innocents lingering by.
All the while, Odin would be going around, looking for any Digimon lingering close-by. The second he came close to one too dangerously close to the potential arena, he would try to warn them as soon as they could.
Kenny attempts to scan Gyo with the Improved Scanner.
Improved Scanner: An improved scanner that subtly displays a Digimon's combat information on your screen. If given a post to clearly scan a Digimon, you learn their name, attribute, type, and family, along with a quick description and two of their signature moves.

Scarab was not about to mention his own part in that whole business, truth be told. "Less a snitch and more someone who takes their word veeeery seriously. I told him to leave Caine be. He did not. Hence, the pretty pinch of bits on his head." That was all he said as he went to watch the violinist play a part in...a rather violent show. Odin would find it quite easy to corral people away from the show.
Now...
Scaled? Scaleless? All things considered, titles did not truly matter in this situation. Upon the intrusion(?) of others into this little scuffle, the Baalmon only started to chuckle eerily. "Aaah, the Lady Death and her newly found little lamb. And a human. And a chicken." He spoke, only for the Grademon to let out a grunt. "Your titles sound stupid."
"...That's just your opinion."
The vermillion dragon turned with a glare towards the Mephistomon (X), and with a derisive snort? "...Who the fuck are you?" The ExVeemon retorted, before the very obvious intent to kill him was made quite clear. Well, that wouldn't do, would it? The dragon was quickly surrounded in azure flames before an AeroVeedramon stepped forth.
"You think you can kill me, hot shot? I'll send you straight to that hell you promise myself, lambchop."
The Baalmon meanwhile steepled his fingers. "By the Sovereign, if you trash my tarot stand, I'll put you both in the ground." He noted with a rather dour tone. Meanwhile, Kenny's scanner revealed the following.
AeroVeedramon. Upon evolving from a regular Veedramon, or an ExVeemon it became able to move through the sky with relative ease. Among the rare species of Veedramon, it is said that only veteran warriors that have come through numerous battles are able to evolve, so its existence is already becoming a legend. Not only did its evolution grant it wings, but it also evolved several parts of its body for better grappling, acquiring stronger offensive and defensive power. If you include its attacks from the sky, there are probably no longer any opponents who can rival AeroVeedramon.
This particular one has been through a troubled existence, and has savaged the Human World before. It's repertoire of moves includes Dragon Impulse, and Wing Guardian. The former is a highly explosive image of AeroVeedramon, and the latter is a barrier that can reflect just about anything.
What a goddamn handful!

Smart worm. Very smart. The demoness almost seemed to nod with Scarab's bystander-esque neutrality. She didn't really care where people stood… as long as it was not against her.
And to say that her introduction was taken with open arms was… very false. Despite their hostility, the Mephistomon X smiled affably… though her intentions were crystal-clear. "Someone whose going to be lining her pockets soon enough. Really though, nothing personal between us." she cheekily spoke, taking the vitriol-laced rebuttal from the newly-evolved AeroVeedramon with a wave of her finger. "Tsk tsk. And here I was offering saving us both a little time… So you like things the hard way?" she asked, taking a step forward.
"Well I like it harder..."
As if on cue, the parasol the demoness held suddenly shifted in shape into a mighty hammer… one that she swung with a brutal force aimed at the dragon's gut. She might have seemed dainty, but there was tremendous force being applied here… just like any Ultimate level! The attack was sure to cause some serious knockback… potentially leaving a AeroVeedramon-shaped hole in one of the walls and outside!
Well, hey… least Caine would be able to breathe slightly easier. Collateral damage was to be expected at least in a fight at this scale.
Amaranthus has scanned Grotto Hammer and is using the weapon to launch a bone-breaking attack at Gyo's chest.
NS-25 Card Name: Grotto Hammer Type: Modify Rank: Silver Duration: 3 Posts Effect: The target summons Grumblemon's hammer. While it slows basic attacks down, its heftiness helps them crack through enemy guards

Odin had done quite a good job clearing out the place so far, as from the looks of things, it was all going to go south in a matter of moments. Although as he was walking back to the group, he heard the Baalmon nearby call him a 'chicken', which just made him raise an eyebrow at him. Regardless, he decided to change course, slinking and hiding himself away for a brief moment, ready to strike the second things got really ugly.
All the while, as the ExVeemon suddenly evolved without warning, transforming into his AeroVeedramon form, and stepping forward to confront Amaranthus head on, Kenny had finished scanning, and, along with Skadi who was peering over from her seat to take a look as well, read up on the information. And it was a doozy. 'Troubled existence'? 'Savaged the human world'? That was starting to ring a few alarm bells in their heads. The image of Agent Tiger and her Coredramon, Jiro, flying through the night sky, never left their heads. Did this Digimon have a seething hatred for humans too? And was this why he had quite the bounty on his head?
But what was even more alarming were the AeroVeedramon's so-far known aresnal of attacks. A reflective barrier and 'a highly explosive image of AeroVeedramon' were just clear hints that this Digimon was not to be taken lightly. "Jesus Christ..." Kenny muttered to himself, "That's one nasty Digimon."
"You're telling me," Skadi added, gawking at the information displaying on the D-Nexus, "Makes me all the more glad we never had to deal with him back in Golden Week. We would've been good as toast. I just hope Ammy'll be OK." Her concerned gaze hovered back up to the Mephistomon X, who casually shrugged off both the sudden digivolution and the subsequent rebuttal like it was nothing... before suddenly transforming her trusty magic parasol into a giant mallet and going for a hefty swing towards Gyo's belly.
No matter whenever it hit or not, Kenny and Skadi instinctively covered their eyes, anticipating the worst. It was bad enough to watch someone get a mallet to the gut. Imagine being on the receiving end of that nasty blow. And as soon as Amaranthus finished her attack, they would look back up to watch the results... and pray Gyo would turn a blind eye to what was probably the only human here right now.

In the lives lead by Gyo and his brother, they had seen their fair share of reckless upstarts and honest to Yggdrasil tryhards. But, this baphomet-esque temptress was something else entirely. It sort of drew even more ire from the dragon. So, with Amaranthus shifting her parasol into a rather wicked-looking hammer and going for the incredibly slow swing, one would think there'd be a hubris-filled AeroVeedramon in the ground, right?
That's where they would be wrong. He flapped his wings to fly back and away from the swing, before the AeroVeedramon took to the skies and became engulfed in azure flames. "Two words." He began, the fires intensifying.
"BEGONE, SKANK."
A fiery effigy of himself wrenched itself free from the dragon before it hurled itself towards the goat. It aimed to latch onto her, and if successful? Would explode. Well, it'd blow up anyways, but it wanted to blow up and take the goat with it. AeroVeedramon flies back to avoid the basic attack empowered by Grotto Hammer. It's slowed, he can handle it. He then flies upwards before he fires Dragon Impulse at Amaranthus!
Dragon Impulse: AeroVeedramon surrounds himself in an aura of flame before he wills it to take the shape of a flaming AeroVeedramon that promptly hurls itself for an enemy, aiming to grapple/surround them with itself before going out in a blaze of azure glory for the sole purpose of dealing severe amounts of damage. Also might leave you well done. Three turn cooldown.
Cooldowns: Dragon Impulse: 0/3
