Once again, her onslaught had ben repelled; in a sense, Levi was making an admirable effort at keeping at bay Heraldmon's attacks when considering her superior speed and power, the sharpened appendages being literally parried by the makeshift storm of swords unleashed by the Magnamon. Witty, but maybe tiring? Such gesture seemed to be quite tiresome, but it wasn't like the digimon had any way to gauge that. Was Levi still facing his opponent when he attempted to 'decapitate' it? If he had, he probably wouldn't notice the arbalest that was idly floating some meters behind him. The device readied a huge bolt while he concentrated on attacking Heraldmon's form. While the aberration did its best to make sure the blades didn't hit anything too important for its functions, luring Levi into pressing his attack required for him to hit. So he did, even if moments afterward, the bolt was fired in such an angle that Heraldmon wouldn't be a possible hit in case the Magnamon managed to avoid it. After all, considering his track record, that outcome was more likely than not. What would follow, then? Right now, things felt oddly even, despite the fact that Heraldmon itself had fought on a relative advantage for those short periods. What came next was at anyone's guess.
Turn recap! —Heraldmon gets hit by Levi's basic attack.
—Martyrdom triggers, reducing its active cooldowns by 1.
—Then uses Expiate against Levi. Keeping track of Ability stuff. *Psalm's (Heraldmon) remaining cooldown: 1 post (ready next round). *Martyrdom's hit count: 0.

Indeed, it was true that Levi was focused on Heraldmon as he made his "decapitation" slice. And indeed, he was blissfully unaware of the bolt about to be fired at him from behind. It was impossible for the digimon to see the attack coming.
"DOWN!" shouted the human, after seeing the attack coming. Magnamon trusted and obeyed without a second thought, ducking forward and falling to lower himself out of whatever he was being told to dodge. Due to the agility that his opponent had displayed up to this point, he didn't feel exactly keen on letting said opponent out of his sight for too long at a time. For good measure, knowing his swords were about to dissipate, Levi would punctuate his fall by sending his blades spinning upwards towards Heraldmon, much like the throw he had done before, but with both blades, one of fire, one of lightning, and at much closer range, aiming just as much to knock her around as to actually slice at her, though either result would be favorable. He would hit the ground and roll, for a smooth transition into a standing position, facing back in the direction of his opponent. This, in most cases, was a better idea than not facing his opponent.
"Thanks!" "Whew..."
So she doesn't need hands to do that. Good to know.
-Levi dodges Expiate by descending rapidly at Alan's call.
-Shortly after the beginning of his descent, Levi tosses both Virtuous Blades at Heraldmon. They disappear following this attack.
Virtuous Blades - Magnamon summons two one-handed blades - one of fire, one of lightning. These blades last for two posts, but can be dismissed before then. 3-post cooldown.
-Levi touches down with a roll and faces Heraldmon again.
Cooldowns: Virtuous Blades - 3

Once again, unsurprising. Or, not quite, actually? Levi's movements to avoid that last attack had been clumsy; the Magnamon hadn't been aware of it until the very last moment; not quite effective, but Heraldmon could perceive how its opponent was struggling to regain its footing, going down while trying to do so. It's been a constant offensive thus far, but that didn't mean the aberration couldn't just continue with it. While managing to avoid the swords thrown its way due to the fact that they haven't been aimed with particular precision, the digimon darted ahead, diving down like an arrow; its intent? To crash straight into Levi, and hopefully use that force to pin him down for once. A bit crude to just fall down with the strength of a hammer and hope that worked, but... it wasn't like there wasn't more in store. Whether the first impact struck true or not, a shockwave would be released from that point onward in another attempt to damage the Magnamon. He'd need some finesse to avoid it all, but it wasn't like he hadn't displayed that before. That didn't mean there would be more from where that came from, of course.
Turn recap! —Heraldmon avoids the Virtous Blades.
—Uses its body as a living battering ram in an effort to hammer Levi to the ground (Basic Attack).
—Gain another attack this round due to Slip Through Time.
—Whether the first attack hits or misses, Psalm is used from the would-be impact point, releasing a shockwave around Heraldmon. Keeping track of Ability stuff. *Expiate's (Heraldmon) remaining cooldown: 4 posts. *Martyrdom's hit count: 0.

Levi took notice of the fact that Heraldmon was now moving a lot slower than she was when she first transformed, though he knw better than to let his guard down because of this. What seemed to her to be a clumsy attempt to regain his footing was a purposeful maneuver on his part, even if the initial dodge was on short notice: always roll when you hit the ground. The fight so far was far from enough to make him tired: what sort of fighter would he be if he ever defeated himself? The dragon knight recognized the maneuver that Heraldmon was making, and dodged to one side, activating his newly charged shield to weather the shockwave. Knowing he would remain unaffected by said shockwave, he could stand close enough to immediately follow the impact by firing his giant laser of light at the ground where Heraldmon landed. As long as he was able to keep the blinding laser's damage focused on the opponent, she would have a hard seeing any of her surroundings until the laser went away, with every single spot the laser had hit blowing up mere moments later, as it did before.
-Levi dodges Heraldmon's basic attack to the side, activating Preventative Measure γ to not be affected by Psalm.
Preventative Measure γ - Forms a temporary light barrier to completely block one attack at ultimate level or lower, or reduce damage from one mega level attack by 50%. 2-post cooldown.
-Immediately after impact, Levi fires Line in the Sand, attempting to keep it trained on Heraldmon for its duration.
Line in the Sand - Magnamon quickly draws a glowing curved line in a wide arc on the ground in front of him using a large laser. Moments later, the line explodes, damaging anyone who was standing on top of it. 3-post cooldown.
Cooldowns: Preventative Measure γ - 2 Line in the Sand - 3
