Now, things were getting confusing for Magnus. Well, they kind have always been confusing, but now even more so! And just when he thought he had begun to get a hang of this strange world and its strange dynamics, too.
"So, they willingly follow me, I get to command them. And this device is willing to them if any potential recruit is nearby? Considering there's a degree of exclusivity on who I am able to command and who I am not, I'd say there's some 'catching' going one, even though that term might seem a bit crude. But you get what I'm trying to say, right?"
He was a bit clueless; chances are that he wouldn't understand any of this for a long time, but that was okay. Honestly? He kinda understood Mitsuharu's mindset, or the slimes' feelings more than any weird explanations thrown his way. That certainty helped him keep his sanity intact, even though he wasn't quite sure of how much those thoughts would hold. But... did that really matter? If things went smoothly, he'd find himself at home from one moment to the next; he just had to follow Eleonora to her vehicle and everything being a-ok would just become a matter of time.
The man™ gestured to the blonde that he preferred walking before listening to Tsukiko's explanation. And, frankly? Her words managed to have exactly the same effect than Eleonora's; which was... him scratching his head, puzzled out of his mind. How were people supposed to take this naturally? She might well talk to him in another language, and chances would be it wouldn't make any difference, at all. Why was this so difficult?
What he could answer, however, was what he had been doing before ending in this strange world with strange rules. His face illuminated right away. "That I can answer, I was just at my room, sleeping. I dreamt of a giant wave that was about to crash into the shore and drag me away with it, and when it did... everything went black. Then I woke up here. Fitting, isn't it?"
While he sloppily narrated those events, both Akemi's and Katherine's eyes seemed to illuminate, almost as if something they had been waiting for a long time had just happened, yet, before any of them could mutter a word, a very worried Magnus point at the horizon. Yup...
"Just like that one giant wave that's coming for us, really." Despite his tone being quite deadpan, one could pretty much touch the amount of disbelief there. "Can we do anything about it, or is it... surfing time?"
It had appeared out of the blue, and it was huge and angry. That tidal wave meant bad news if they didn't get out of this place, fast. Sadly, for Magnus... things wouldn't quite go as planned; was that event sentient? Had it happened just for him? It mattered not; whatever he did or stopped doing, the wave crash into the shore and drag him away alongside the two digimons, ending that meeting abruptly
How would Tsukiko and Eleonora react? Would they be able to resist the wave somehow, or would they end up being dragged as well? Quite the mystery, even if its conclusion would be found out soon.
