Not just any real unpainted bench.
But the only one in the park that she knew of, the other well maintained areas had their heaping helping of properly taken care of places. Well painted, well organized, out of the way benches that didn't cause anyone harm just being there. They were easy to find and just usually in the right spots.
This one here though?
Way back in the ass end of the park, sitting off to one side was pal's favorite bench. One that didn't have layer after layer of paint, didn't have the well ground posts. Hell even the metal was rusted in a bit. It was one of the few in the area that she could think of that wasn't taken care of and it was a lot closer to her bus stop than any other.
So she came here when she needed to think, when she needed to mull over things that had become problematic to her. Even with it being in the 'ass end' there was still an entry nearby that she could mosey on off for a snack or something.
But today her thoughts dwelled on another item, an item that had taken her elsewhere. confused her and taken a day or two for her to get out of. The jumpsuit that that other place had put her into was still worn by the confused young woman. Her jacket hiding the upper portion of her jumper and some loose fitting sweats hiding a good chunk of the strange jumpsuit.
The item was a oddly worn out D-1. A D-1 that held no real secrets other than it's origin. An item she had been told usually came with a partner, but this inert object didn't have a partner, didn't have a totem, it would turn on, give her some kind of menu screen... and eventually she'd just turn it off again.
She'd furrow her brow and adjust her hat, the young woman not really liking the puzzle in front of her. She didn't so much mind puzzles really but this thing was more than a puzzle. It was a god damn mystery. One that she didn't know how to solve. Even further so she had no real reason to keep this thing, it was pointless to her now.
With her death in the digital world this item meant nothing, she didn't have a partner. She didn't have a human. She didn't know what to do or where to go, could she even go home? The magnamon-x growled a little bit, her holosuited form waivering. All she could do was hide from the world...
So of course here she was.
In her spot.
"Tch... What was that whole thing about golden week? Is it even safe for me even though it's my home?"
Palicae didn't know the answer and she'd bury her head in her hands, her sole eye watering a bit. It was false liquid, her body didn't have any of it's own. Well not in this sort at least and with another soft growl the dragon digimon shifted in her seat, looking up at the sky in a somewhat concerned.
What did it mean for this device to still be hers even though she wasn't human?

Justice didn't understand anymore. Feeling confused and without a direction to turn to, or a direction in which to head towards was not a feeling he was familiar with. It was not one he enjoyed either. So far this day has nothing been short of confusion, joy, anger and sadness all at once.
Earlier, after getting home, a digi portal had opened up without warning, sending him and his Digimon to his hometown of Chicago, but it wasn't his Chicago. Rather, they were sent to an alternative universe in which everything was the same, yet different. After exploring for what seemed to be hours on their end, they encountered a Digimon called Parallelmon, who hunts Tamers that wandered through space-time. The trio put up a valiant effort, but they were overwhelmed by the Mega-leveled Digimon.
Before Parallelmon could kill them, starting with Justice, he was saved by none other than his alternative counterpart, along with only Vee's counterpart strangely. With their combine effort, they managed to repel of the time, hunting Digimon, but only for a little. During that short time, Justice found that his alternative self was not only three years younger than him, but was, nevertheless, different than him. Though some of his experiences surprised him, there was one that shook him to the core.
His family was still together. His dad never left them.
Hearing that shook the young man to the core, so much that after saying goodbye to his alternate self and returning to his reality, he immediately left his dorm, leaving Vee and Gummy there without responding to them.
That's why he was out now, alone. Walking aimlessly as the street lights flicker on, lost in thought. His dad had left his family when he was only six years old. After going through his mother's spiraling depression, losing their house, becoming homeless and his delinquency resulting from that, Justice had moved on from all of that trauma and became a better person out of it. In his eyes, he saw himself as better than the man that shook his life to the core. And yet...everything was all coming back: the insecurities, the loneliness, all of those feelings he had repressed for so long were coming back in full force, like it was that day all over again.
Slowly Justice exhaled, brushing his hands over his face and hair as he slightly lowered his head, resting his arms in his pocket, as if he was trying to search for something. Was he trying to search for a physically solution to get him out of this mood, to try and remind him for all of the positives he has in his life right now? He didn't know. From what he remembered, he had always had answers and ideas, solutions to problems. Even if they were stupid solutions, or answers that made no sense, the results had always made him feel better. None of them were working the more he thought about it.
"Nevermind." Justice said to himself sharply, growling. "This isn't helping."
Suddenly, he found himself in a park. It was a large and well-maintained park, with all types of plants and flowers being illuminated by the lamp posts scattered out in unison. Barely anyone was in it. That was a given since it was getting dark out.
Walking through the park, he took a seat one of the nearby benches, now tired of aimlessly walking. Unbeknownst to him, across from him was a girl in a red jumpsuit, who was sitting on another bench. He clasps his hands together and lowered his head, and stared at the pavement, like he was trying to burn through it. It was times like this he found himself wishing he was back at home with his friends. In comparison to the friends he made since coming to Japan, his friends back at home were the only ones who truly understood him.

Honestly.
Why was she even here? She could be at home, sitting on a couch. Watching tv, watching something, doing something. But here she was restless, unable to sleep. Unable to enjoy her rest. Unable to eat. There wasn't any reason for her to. She could feel her body shifting underneath the holosuit, the reconfigured data still holding true to her base needs, her base desires.
She didn't need to eat.
She didn't need to sleep.
She wasn't drawing breath.
It was torture, she didn't know what she was going to do with all the time she had on her plate. The magnamon-x running a hand through her holosuit's hair, pushing aside the hat and closing her sole eye. Something that carried to either form but... she knew if she really wanted to she could mimic another eye, she could make it so that she could see like the rest of the world did but...
That wasn't something she wanted to do yet. Something that she didn't want, she never had a problem with it before. But now? Suddenly? It was something she could have. Something that didn't require them cutting into her skull and formatting it in such a way that allowed her to have a second prosthetic eye.
It wasn't long however, during her musings that she felt. Smelled. Heard. And eventually saw someone sit down across from her. Her head shifted, her blue eye that had been glazed over with thought came back to the world.
A young man, somewhere near her age sat across from her. Head hung low, staring at the pavement. She felt for a moment her heart go out to him, she knew how it could feel to be lost. How it felt. She could feel a momentary kinship with this individual. Her 'hand' creaking around the hard plastic of the digivice; a small 'snck' as she squeezed too hard. The casing shifting just a little more than normal. She felt her sarcasm, she felt her bite. She felt her snark rise up and before she could stop herself...
"Hey this part of the park already has one broody millennial, go find your own place to act all batmany!"
Her voice had no bite, there was no bark, there was nothing to it. Just the weary resignation, the hope that maybe they'd laugh, maybe they'd find something in it funny. Make it so she felt another emotion other than this crushing despair and loneliness that encompassed every fiber of her being.
Because to her. In this moment.
More than ever.
She was completely alone.

Sitting down was not helping his restless thought. Why did he even come here? Not to this bench, not to this park, but to Japan entirely? Yes, studying abroad would make him highly desirable for employers when he eventually applies for his dream job, and yes, it already transformed the way he saw the world, but why here? Out of all the eighty countries in his school's study abroad program, he chose Japan of all places. Why?
Had he not been so reluctant on studying abroad in the first place, he could have gone anywhere else like Italy, England, France, Germany, Spain, or Denmark. At least those countries are not hotspots for monsters from another world popping out of thin air and causing havoc for little to no reason. After what had happened in that alternative Earth, Golden Week and the interrogations afterwards, he had about enough with Digimon for now.
But... had he not chosen Japan, he wouldn't have met his Digimon: Vee and Gummy. At first, they were somewhat of a nuisance to him at first since they loved to prank others, but over the last few two months, he began to see the two as not only his partners, but apart of his family--like little siblings that can level a city block. They were kindred spirts, despite their upbringings, similar to him.
He pursed his lips, exhaling through his nose slowly. "Why did all of this had to happen this week?" Justice muttered to himself. He wished that somebody, anybody, would say something to him, anything. These negative thoughts wee starting to consume him, and he had no idea how to escape from his own mind.
Lo and behold, someone answer.
Hearing a snide comment, he lifted his head up and saw a young woman around his age sitting across from him. His eyes widen a bit in surprise. She sported light red hair, wearing a cap and a red jumpsuit with white highlights. Interestingly, she sported an eye patch over her left eye. This is the first time he saw someone with that kind of impairment.
Nevertheless, a small smile went across his face, not wanting her to escape with that remark about him.
"Really then?" he questioned. "This part of the park's pretty peaceful from the looks of it, so it probably can handle two depresso expressos near each without collapsing in on itself."
This was one of his many mask he's so used to putting on. It let others know he was fine so they can stop worrying about him, but even a mask can only last so long before it starts to wear and tear.

Pal knew how it felt to be down in the dumps, she was constantly there. She was constantly in the state of everything going somewhere else. She had a good life of luxury she didn't want, a silver spoon in her mouth that she didn't need or desire but had to accept anyways. It was a problem many didn't get and a problem that not many could even relate to. But that was okay, she didn't need people to relate to.
She just needed people that she could be around, be with and enjoy their company. She needed friends, she needed folks that she could understand, someone that she could ease the pain of and forget her own. Hearing his words, even at this distance, even under his breath wasn't hard. People forgot how easy it was for others to hear you when you were sad. She'd mumble softly, knowing that he probably would hear her but not really caring.
"You too huh..."
He shifted his head up, looking at her. She could feel his eyes looking at her hat and then at the eyepatch. It wasn't uncommon but there was a small twitch as her mouth went from that wry grin to that of a frown for an instant before sliding back to her evened expression. She'd stand up, she knew the pain. She knew the mask, it was one she wore all the time.
"I mean the park is pretty big. Move over you knucklehead. You're hoggin the whole bench."
Even if he didn't move over she'd sit next to him, hands in her hoodies pouch. A sort of frustrated look on her face, she'd rub at her head with one hand and make motions with the other after a moment.
"Name's Palicae. You can call me Pal. What's yours? And why the glum face?"
Did she really care about either of those things? One of them was a yes and the other was a no. She didn't care what his name was really, and she really didn't care about his problems. So why was she asking? One of them was a yes. But which one? It was an irritating conundrum and the youth hated that fact.
"Not everyone comes to the park this late at night either..."

Justice could only raise an eyebrow as he scoot himself over to the left, allowing her to take a seat next to him. He was a little bit surprised at the notion since students at his dorm would sit by themselves unless they were with friends, wanting to preserve their own little spaces. Maybe she could detect that he was in distress—lost in his own problems. Was their something that tipped her off? Was it his slouched posture, his bleak tone, or his half opened eyes.
It didn’t matter. He continued to stare off into the trees that led to the blackness of light, neon signs from restaurants and other establishments barely illuminating from where they were sitting at. Since his first mask was compromised, then it was time to add the second layer.
She then introduced herself as Palicae, or Pal for short. “Palicae…” he repeated slowly, turning to her. He never heard that name before; it sounded like a fancy way of saying ‘palace’, but there was something about it that felt pleasant for some reason. “...That’s a nice name.”
Now it was time to introduce himself. “I’m Justice. And yeah, I know, it’s a girl’s name. Not really a fitting name for a guy.”
He shuffled his hands in his pocket and looked down at his shoes. Obviously he couldn’t tell her why he's really upset; she’ll most likely view him as a nut job or something. Heck, he could barely find the words to put it together even if he wanted to. But the fact that she ever cared to ask why he was feeling down warmed his cold heart a little. It had been so long since another human showed concern from him. He was used to people giving him the cold shoulder. So with someone he didn’t even know asking why he was down, well...it was a nice change of pace.
“Me? Glum? Naaa, I don’t know what you’re talking about. Sadness and me don’t exactly mix together. If it did, it’d be my kryptonite.” He chuckled, then softly sighed. “ Lame joke aside, I’m just tired is all. Today's been a really, really long day for me, so I thought getting out of the house would do me some good.”

”Thanks. First and only I’ve ever met unfortunately.”
Palicae gave a soft shrug, she had never met anyone with her name before. In fact, she hadn’t even met someone with the name of Justice before, raising the brow that sat above her eyepatch slightly. Was it a nickname? She didn’t much care. She just knew that the other was hurting; she could tell. Maybe it was some small part of her heart that had managed to suffer through everything she had gone through or it was just some sort of kindred sensation but… Pal just knew.
”Is it a girl’s name? I’ve never met someone with it so. I think it’s fitting if you make it fitting. Do I really look like a Palicae?
The youth chuckled lightly and shook her head, she’d lean back and hook either of her arms over the back of the bench. Seeming to be relaxed even if she felt tense, even if she felt the weight of what she was now still very vibrantly.
”Well if that’s the case you’re doing a piss poor job at acting happy. Even tired most people find themselves smilin a bit. You don’t need to pretend for someone yah just met. I wouldn’t judge you for it. And out of the house? Yeah. I can feel you there.
Her house was empty, cold, unfeeling. There was no love there, no family. Just empty space. Her only solace there was her ability to stop having to pretend that she was human. That she could take off this fake suit of flesh and look at what she had truly become.
A monster.
An unfeeling metal monster capable of doing so much. Her entire body was a weapon now, her weight and heavy set powerful body was something that she didn’t even really understand. But it suited her. She’d make a few motions with a finger and gesture at her head.
”But I getcha if you don’t wanna play game like that. You know naps exist right? Or is the house not a good place to take one?

Justice raised an eyebrow to Palicae's comment. For the longest time, he felt that his parents wanted a girl judging by his name alone. He never met another guy with his name, only girls. According to his mom, his dad was the one that named him, as he did with his older brother and sister. Was it some s joke made by his shitty old man that he'd played on him to find out later in life? He didn't know. It's not like he could ask his dad anyway. He left him and his family when he was only six without a word. Regardless, Justice appreciated her compliment.
"Well if a name like Justice is fitting for me, then a name like Palicae is just as fitting for you." He said, shifting to a more relaxed posture. To her, a comment like that was nothing to think about. But to him, it kind of ease his pain a bit, giving him a warm feeling inside.
He wasn't surprised that she was seeing through his mask. He was doing a poor job of concealing his emotions. If that dimensional-hopping nonsense had happened a few days a go, then maybe his mask would have been tough enough to crack. As it was now, it was as thin as Papier-mâché
Justice leaned back on the bench and relaxed."Honestly...if I told you what has me bend out of shape, you wouldn't believe him. It's just...crazy to say the least. It's gotten to the point where freaking out is an understatement at this point; more like I'm freaking in."
He sighed, messing with a strain of hair on his head before continuing.
"I don't think naps would be enough to get rid of what I'm feeling. I wished that the things that had happened to me over the past week was a dream right now-- a dream from passing out at the library doing school work. And that's not to say taking a nap where I live isn't a bad idea, but I got like, two reminders about this week --two kids that like to goof off while I'm trying to sleep."
He paused, just now realizing that Palicae might think he's a dad or something. Obviously he was mentioning his Digimon: Vee and Gummy. "N-Not like I have kids mind you! They're kind of like...kids that live around my dorm."

Palicae didn’t know what sort of person her parents wanted as a child; in fact she barely knew anything about them other than the trivial stuff that her grandparents told her. How their company was saving lives thanks to their tireless efforts. She’d bite the inside of her cheek and sigh softly; giving a small shake of her head. At the idea that her name was fitting for someone like her? Well she couldn’t help but chuckle.
”I don’t think any other real name would suit me to be honest. Sometimes it feels like my mom chose it by smashing her face into a keyboard or something”
There was a small snort and she’d raise a brow as he leaned back, seeming to relax somewhat. If he told her what had him bent out of shape? Well she’d stuff her face into the upper portion of her jacket, sort of getting a somewhat distant look. She knew that feel; she knew how things seemed impossible.
”Oh trust me I know the feeling. I’ve been bent out of shape ever since having to deal with some alternate dimension, talking fire, and suddenly being in a mountainous region while also never leaving Shibuya. Don’t even get me started on the sudden change of clothing too.”
To some, no one would believe her. She’d stare at him as he told her that he didn’t think that naps would get rid of what he’s feeling. He wished that what didn’t happen was a dream… Rather than what they were. That he would rather be in school and then she couldn’t help looking down at her hands.
”Yeah… I can bet that’s a problem. Look if you can’t really get sleep at your dorm what’s the point of living there at all? I know we just bloody met but if you need a place to crash my house isn’t far from here and the couch can always use someone who will actually use it. Or if you’re hankering for a bed, it's not like either of my parents come home ever.”
She’d grunt a little bit and stand up slowly, stretching. Her outfit while having a jacket was also that slim body suit. Something that looked far too out of place compared to the real. She had the ability to take this thing off but it was such a goddamn chore…
”And you having kids? You’re like my age dude. If you had kids, I'd be worried. Well. Adopted kids are a different story but then they’d just end up being like a younger brother or sister or something.”

Justice merely nodded to Palicae's opinion. Names were somewhat of a fickle matter to some people--they either love their name or they don't. The name "Justice" was not a name he disliked, but he couldn't help but wonder why he was given that name in the first place. He didn't share the qualities of righteousness, equitableness. or moral rightness as his name suggest; he was the complete opposite in fact. So what was so great about him that his parents decided to name him that?
It didn't linger in his mind for too long, as she went on to talk about her problems like dealing with alternate dimension travel, and going to a mountainous religion without leaving the city. His eyes widen a bit before turning away. To another person, she would have sound like a loony, thinking she was bat-shit crazy. But to Justice, especially with him being a Tamer, those were the clues he needed to put two and two together, especially since he dealt with inter-dimensional travel just yesterday afternoon.
Her too, huh?
"That's...crazy to here that." He said, scratching his arm. He didn't want to comment about it any further. She doesn't want her to get suspicious about him being affiliated with Digimon. I mean, that's everyone he's even talked to bee affiliated with; it's like a Digimon Tamer bargain sale. He sighed, it's not like he can't help it. Maybe these things just come to him.
Palicae then offered him to stay at her house, which caused Justice to turn to her with a raised eyebrow. It was weird that a girl was saying that since usually it was the other way around. He shook his head, and got up alongside her.
"I appreciate the offer," Justice replied, "but ima have to say no to that. I mean it's as you said: we just met. I mean it really is nice that you're so thoughtful, but that's gonna require some time to think about. I mean if I want to do that, it's gonna require a lot of things to do like signing a release contract form to my dorm, packing stuff up, moving stuff and--"
Suddenly, he started to become light-headed, his vision started to blur, and he got down to one knee on the ground, barely holding his composure together. It clicked to him; he never got any sleep since yesterday. He was so caught up into thinking about how his alternative self's life was better than every way imaginable that he negated to just go to sleep. The invitation of sleep was starting to grow as he couldn't find the strength to say anything to Palicae.
How embarrassing for him, a young man, to be this weak in front of a girl he just met.

Honestly what was she really expecting? Saying something that off putting probably made Justice think she was crazy. She’d rub her neck and shake her head; she didn’t really have a response for that. It was kinda something she expected and she was fully expecting that he was going to trot off into the sunset never to be seen again. At her offer however… he declined.
”Yeah I know it’s a little weird having some random girl off of the street you’ve barely known longer than five minutes and it’d of course be… hassle...”
Palicae frowned slowly as she noted the sudden change in the human in front of her. Getting down to one knee, looking sort of out of wack… She knew that one something fierce. Back when she needed sleep, needed to eat. Sometimes she forgot too. Sometimes she forced herself to forget to try to get attention from her parents with little response. Only for her grandparents to swoop in to ‘save’ her.
It was annoying wasn’t it?
She knew that it would feel weird, she knew that it probably wouldn’t go over too well to see this sort of thing and well… The magnamon-x stooped down and without really waiting for permission would hoist the human up.
”I’m not even kidding when I say that it’s not far. Like a five minute hike at worst. That and you’re not even that heavy. Heh. Normally it’s the other way around but here we are changing it up a little bit.”
Slim as she was the ‘human’s’ muscles likely felt like steel to the other; a sturdy frame that didn’t even falter as she took steps. She was like a god damn machine; then again she spent all her time mostly working out so that shouldn’t be a surprise.
”Though if you’d prefer the fireman carry rather than the usual way that guys carry their girl or something lemme know, can’t have you lose face in front of more than just me eh?”
Pal let out a smooth chuckle and well.. Without much adieu she’d start trotting her way towards where her house was! It would be a bit of a hike but the entire way the human didn’t even seem to get out of breath…
”What are you studying anyways?”

Of all the times he felt tired when either doing school work, or doing Digi stuff, why at this moment, this precise moment, did his body decided to suddenly switch to 'off mode?' Sure he was up all night, sure he may have not had anything to eat since, and sure he probably was having a mini existential crisis on top of all of that. But he had to be stronger than that.
Despite him always wanted to forget the advice his mom always told him and his siblings, one advice was still engraved in his psyche: "Don't show your weakness to anyone and expect them to care about you despite that. You have to be an unshakable oak that people can always rely on to stand strong against what life throws at you."
Justice tried to pick himself up from the ground a couple of times, putting pressure to his left leg so that he could stand up, but to no avail; he was completely stuck. He frowned. "Man this sucks," he mumbled to himself. What's worse is that he didn't know Palicae's reaction to all of this. Was she gonna help him up, or was she just going to leave him there. He'd hoped for the latter. He didn't want someone he just met see him like this any longer.
To his surprise, Palicae stooped down and hoisted him up. He was lost for words for a moment.Even though she was shorter than her, she was strong, really strong, probably even stronger than him. She then jokingly asked if he preferred the fireman carry, to which he nervously blushed in response.
"N-No way, sister! This is already embarrassing enough as it is. Besides, that kind of carrying technique is for those trying to escape enemy lines after saving Private Ryan or something." He hoped that his joke land because his brain was too tired to come up with any smart remarks.
After that, Palicae made her way out of the park and into the nighttime streets, Despite him saying that he didn't want to crash at her place considering they just met, he wasn't in any position to fight since he was practically limp. So for now, he could only lean his head on her shoulder, watching them past closed shops.
He lifted his head up when she asked about what he was studying. "Oh uhh Meteorology," Justice replied. "That's the studying of atmospheric weather."

Palicae wasn’t the sort of woman that would just leave someone that needed help out to dry in the middle of a thunderstorm. They were in the middle of the park, at night on a weekday. Suffice to say the chances of them running into someone that wished ill on some random stranger was higher than she’d like even in the relative safety of their choice park. She just hoped that when she carried him that he didn’t notice the former human didn’t really even… get winded at all. Like there was no change in her gait, no struggling. Just flat go.
She was wirey, young and full of spunk but even carrying someone for a good five to ten minutes like this would of strained arms or at least got her to wobble. But no. She didn’t even stutter in her motions. Either she was a lot more muscle than she looked or something was really wrong with her.
”Oh please, it could be more embarrassing. Like not having any pants, puking your guts out because you drank too much. The list can go on for a mile. And besides, Saving private Ryan was awesome. Only real movie to make me cry.”
The ginger snorted a bit and shook her head; though with him leaning his head on her shoulder the ‘human’ stiffened slightly and felt an odd warmth cross her face. She wasn’t expecting that in the slightest, maybe him laying it over her arm limply but not… Like that.
”I know what it is. While I’m not going to college for anything I kinda keep track of the general stuff people can study around the colleges. Oops. Hold on… gotta get my keys.”
The mangamon-x mumbled a bit to herself and without really even breaking stride fiddled around with her right hand… While her left had literally no issue holding up Justice. What was she bloody made out of?
A few minutes after her pulling out her keys they would arrive at what was that old styled sort of house in the modern day. A nice security wall with a two story house behind it. She’d push the keys into the lock, pull open the door and then close it behind the two of them with a small sigh.
”Don’t know why they bother with that one, it’s not like I don’t live in a nice enough place as it is…”
Palicae didn’t really seem to register the oddity that was her home nor the fact that she was still one arming the human. She’d shift and walk to the door, taking her hand and putting it under the human up until the got to the door proper. The yard wasn’t terribly sized but there was a good chunk to either side of the house that led to the back of the yard.
Once she pushed open the door to the home [which had been unlocked] she’d set Justice down in one of the chairs near the entrance. Sure it was more for her grandparents but… She figured they wouldn’t care really. Especially with all this.
”Take a lil bit to get situated and the couch is in the room to the right. It’s one of those fold out beds too. Should have sheets. Yah hungry? I’m sort of feeling some ramean.

Now that he thought about it, this was the first time someone had ask him what he studied. Usually it would be the other way around and he would tell someone what he studies, usually to gloat and flex. Meteorology is one of those subjects that not everyone can pick up due to it requiring a lot of science, math, and critical thinking, so the fact that he had a knack for that stuff to begin with, it'd be hard not to show off.
But this time, he didn't feel like gloating; he was too exhausted to anyway. And besides something told him that if she did, Palicae would clap back at him with the strength of a Norse God. So it was better off to just close his eyes and enjoy the nighttime breeze.
Though after a few minutes of walking, Justice started to notice something off about Paliace. When he leaned his head over her shoulder, she was...cold. He didn't feel any body heat coming from her whatsoever. It was like she was cold-blooded or something.
Before he had a chance to speak his concern, he lifted his head up to see a security wall. After the young woman unlocked it with her keys, it revealed what looks to be her home-- a traditional two-story Japanese house. He widened his tired eyes in surprise; it was beautiful, more beautiful then any house in his neighborhood back in the States.
"You live here...by yourself?" Justice asked her, astonished. "And here I thought you were one of those girls that ran track living in an apartment."
Going into the house, Palicae sat Justice down to a chair next to the entrance, which he after a few seconds, got up, wanting to explore the house. His amazement and curiosity gave him the much needed boost to move around.
Palicae then asked if he wanted some ramen, to which Justice quickly nodded. "Hell yeah I'm feel like eating some ramen. I haven't eaten anything since yesterday, so you don't have to ask me again."
Before he could further explore the living space, he had to take his shoes since it was common curtesy in Japan to do that when entering a home. Once that was done, he went exploring without going too far. He didn't want Palicae to get any suspicions.
"So tell me, how is it that you live in such a nice house by yourself? Are your parents alright with that?"

Of course palicae would ask him what he studied. She had pegged him as a college student from the get go, but she had figured it was something less… What was the word? Boring? No that wasn’t quite it. Complicated? Yeah that sounds about right. She didn’t really think many people would go for that sort of thing. Preferring something easy and simple to make their own lives that way.
Yes if he had gloated she probably would have clapped him on the back and told him to check himself. Or at least done something about it. Then again clapping him on the back would have hurt, her newfound strength and durability made it difficult for her to interact with normal humans past what she was doing at the moment.
The only reason why she was cold at the moment is because she wasn’t fighting, wasn’t working out. Her body heated up like a furnace when she was actually working out or in a case she didn’t know… Fighting against other digimon. Her body was practically a little nuclear reactor walking around without the radiation.
”Yeah. Trust me it wasn’t by choice, I’d be living out on my own but I’m not really sure what I’d even be studying.”
That and being a draconic monster kind of made it hard to get past security now. She set off every metal detector she went through and the scanning made the security guards so baffled. Sure there were only a few schools that had that sort of thing and those were the ones she had looked at so…
”...That’s really unhealthy Justice. Can’t just run on steam, you’ll crash and burn before too long.”
The ‘human’ scoffed a bit and moved to the kitchen. She didn’t care if he explored and she’d hum a bit as she broke out some things to start cooking with. She was practically a blur in the kitchen, getting things prepped for some real ramean. None of that packaged shit. She’d quirk her head and raise a brow at his question.
”My parents are a pair of doctors working for a big pharma company. They develop new medicines, pills and therapy types. So they’re always busy. Never having time for their daughter. This house was before they got really into their work so they bought another place closer to work, shunted me here and bought my grandparents a place across the street. So yes they’re all right with that because they’re the reason for it.”
Even though she was talking and focusing on justice, her hands were a blur of motion now. Cutting up the veggies, meats and making sure that things were properly seasoned. She wasn’t even measuring the spices. How often did she cook for herself?
”Beef, chicken or Pork?”
She had already picked out beef for herself but she knew that eating it wouldn’t do much for her unless she ingested an unreasonable amount which… She had already put what amounted to an entire 7 ounce steak in hers. Was she a glutton? Or maybe she just burned off everything considering the shape she was in!
Whatever justice’s answer would be, she’d quickly add more meat to the mix. Though she washed her hands before handling more. She didn’t want to cross contaminate after all...
