"Jeez..." The news of the trip's length, especially the remark about how the group would have to camp over night, didn't exactly sit well with Junpei. Now, mind you, he had no problem with spending a night camping out with Mika and Yuko; as a matter of fact, if he had to pick two people to camp with, they were likely his first (and only) choices. The problem came from the fact that they still had no clue about anything in this world; they just got attacked by a wild ape-man and were now traveling with a mutant bunny, a monstrous clown, and a military dinosaur, for crying out loud! There was no telling what might try to sneak up on them while they were sleeping!
But speaking of a certain dinosaur... Junpei glanced down at Scout, who was currently sporting a very large grin that, in some ways, might have been cute, but given his mouthful of fangs mostly came off as kind of creepy to the rose-haired delinquent. Well, at least someone was enjoying this whole situation... Junpei also noted that small dinosaur was having a little difficulty keeping up with the rest of the group, which was only natural as Scout's legs were positively tiny compared to everyone else's. With a sigh, Junpei bent down and scooped Scout up into his arms, eliciting a slight yelp of surprise from him. "Come on, you. If I'm stuck with ya, I ain't gonna leave you behind, at least..."

“No, no, no! We don’t need your pessimism, little rodent. You shouldn’t say that it’s at least a day long. You should say that it’s no more than a day long!” Jokermon protested, moving his lanky legs about to make sure he didn’t step on the much smaller Lopmon by accident. Or perhaps he was intentionally trying to step on Lopmon. Who knew at this point.
Either way, Mikazuki didn’t seem worried, claiming that he had enough experience in camping. Yuko nodded at that. “Alright, we should camp after the sun sets. Preferably somewhere warm. It’s probably gonna be chilly at night without blankets… or clothes for that matter.” “And if another wild Digimon decides to add you to its daily diet, the Demon King of the Digital World shall introduce them to a world of delicious pain and misery!” The demonic clown bragged in his haughty tone. Then again, considering his performance against Wendigomon, Yuko trusted him to handle any threat… as long as he didn’t try to moon them again.
And so, the group proceeded through the jungle. Yuko looked behind her, and smiled as she noticed Junpei carrying Commandramon in his arms. It was quite wholesome, and it showed that even he had started to come to terms with their newfound situation. Obviously, there was a lot to take in still, but as long as they had a clear objective in front of them, there was nowhere to move but forward.
