It had been what? A day?
A day since they brought their body out of the bloody sea, a day since they had formed into this concept. A concept of a single point, playfully bound with energy not unlike that of a digimon. But unlike most digimon, they had forms, their bodies were strong and durable. This form was very much so different. The barest touch of a body with a condensed core.
A simple orb floating along the beach, picking at the varied rocks. The varied trees that dotted the landscape. It didn't understand where it was properly. Yes it knew it was in the dark area and yes it knew that this was the sea of blood. But it was confused. Just where was it exactly. What were it's coordinates?
A irritated hum echoed out and drew the attention of some predator. A predator that was looking for it's next meal. This predator didn't seem to find interest in a simple orb so it moved on. Sustenance was hard to find and it would be more effort to devour this simple thing than hunting proper.
Which added more questions to it's already troubled mind. If it was not worth making for food, what was it actually worth? Was it something that it'd have to find out on it's own? Another hum, a gentle quizzical one this time. Soft musical notes played as it picked a few sticks up, examining them. Digesting their data a few moments later to understand what it had grasped.
A rock was next. Then some shells. A dribble of blood from where it came. Nothing seemed exceptional here, just a wasted blasted area with the rising fortress out in the distance. A place that bled power. A place it didn't want to go and shouldn't. So it simply moved the opposite direction.
In the air of this damned and darkened place, amidst all the howling and painful cries. A musical chorus rang out, questioning. Curious. And without pause. This place was no home to it, and it would continue onward till it found one. But the problem arose very quickly...
It simply did not know where to go.

The orb would not be the only individual upon that forlorn beach. There was another. An abomination of a different kind as the female Beelzemon stood upon that black sand, red waves lapping at her boots as she stared out over the crimson expanse of the sea of blood with eyes the same russet scarlet as the tainted waters. Her gaze set on some distant point too far out in the depths to be seen, but that played upon her ragged senses not unlike the musical lyrics of the strange creature that wandered likewise listlessly.
Her form was ragged, parts of her data phasing in and out with static that at first might be mistaken for injury, but a keen observer would realize that this was not the case. That the creature before them wearing the face of a digimon was other and the twisting of their form, stretching and snapping back into place within their bonds was the result of their real appearance bleeding through. The wrongness of their signal like a beacon flare for coaxing all those with sense enough to stay away.
But what did a newborn being know about what was normal or abnormal.
The female Beelzemon did not look up at it's trills. Did not move despite their pained form. Simply stared out into the waters their windswept locks twisting in the foul wind that blew in from the Sea of Blood.

Another person?
The orb tilted it's body this way and that, a signal that spoke to it in the strangest sense of the word. The form that it was gifted seeing was phasing in and out, a static mess that should not be. Much like itself in fact; a form that shouldn't be either. Sure the wrongness of it's signal would of warned anyone with common sense away from it, but this being didn't have that.
In fact it lacked any real medium of self control, it's hums and gentle notes not gaining attention. It wanted to know why this person was like the way they were, it wanted to know what form it held that made this such an impossible nature. Even it, as little as it was knew that this should not be.
But did orion care? No. It had questions, comments and concerns of it's own. It wanted to know about this being, the only one that it had seen that hadn't ignored it. Made it shift to the sands themselves. The wind through it's hair, the gentle smell of this place compared to the strange creature. So it'd hum, bleating out notes from time to time and given the chance?
Well it'd try to bump up against the being's shoulder in an effort to get some form of reaction. It wasn't affectionate, it wasn't hard. Just a curious nudge speaking in depth of the question it had been repeating.
What are you?
It's natural gait of being able to break down data didn't work on creatures of living like this one. That much it knew, but that also made it wonder what was it able to break down? What was it able to understand past the rocks and branches it found?

A blink. Then another. The slim female Beelzemon's eyes briefly sliding shut as the gentle nudge roused it from it's trance, before it's third eye blink closed briefly once the other two opened. It's crimson glowing gaze, at least of it's two main eyes shifting to the floating chirping orb as it blink in muted surprise once again. It's third eye never leaving it's vigil. Too wary of what lay beneath the waves.
"W̵͖͆̓͠h̷̯͙̓̎́ả̸͚͉̝͍̀͊t̵̗͙̖̙͌͐̾͐.̶̳͚͈̆.̶̩͓͎͝.̷̨̦͍̻̚" She rasped out reaching out to tentatively poke the floating orb. "What are you doing?" She questioned after clearing her throat her face oddly blank, numb, only the barest spark of curiosity rousing within her gaze behind the mask of a cold unfeeling machine. At least until her clawed finger seemed to sink into the orbs surface and then suddenly like a catch snatching a firefly from the air the Beelzemon lunged. Claws coming up to attempt to encircle the orb, corralling it within her grip and should she be successful she would tilt the little creature this way and that. Examining it with surprising gentleness, mindful of the sharpness of their claws.

The orb turned this way and that, seeing the other react to it's touch in a somewhat relaxed way. Or what it presumed to be relaxed; the two eyes shifting over to look at it. It was pleased with the fact it's nudge made the other break from whatever reverie that it was in. Letting out a somewhat cheerful array of notes; though these notes trailed off as the other spoke. In a language that it understood but did not have the capacity to speak itself. It'd consider lightly this odd fact and hummed out another sequence. Though at the poke the orb shivered a bit, the gentle touch was more than enough to test the film that covered it's exterior.
What was it doing?
Well it'd give her a serious answer, though it's answer was a constant barrage of musical notes all engorged with meaning. Meaning that only a few could really understand fully. It'd shudder at feeling that finger sink into it's exterior, easily finding it's way into it's center only being stopped by the rock solid 'core' of it's body.
It couldn't run from the beelzemon, it was far too slow for that. Only being a rookie it wouldn't be able to break free from the other's grip. So it'd sit there, squirming in the grip of the other. It was a rather simple orb, with washes of energy around it from time to time. It seemed rather unbothered past the initial grab at being examined in such a way. Though the grip itself made it difficult for it to really... move in any way. It'd ring out again, asking question after question though... would she understand? Could she understand?
We are looking around. Finding what there is to find. What is one such as you doing here? Why is your form like that?

"Curious little thing~" Cas hummed out as much to the orb as herself as she leaned close, her finger pads, feeling, if not seeing it's core contained just beneath the surface. Her nose twitching lightly as she sniffed it, tongue darting out to taste the air as she considered it's signal. It smelt...like salt and sea, and jumbled code. It smelt like the Sea of Blood all compact wrongness not unlike herself.
"You know~" She began wry amusement slowly breaking through her cold facade, "I eat little morsels of data like you. Most creatures, specially when I am bleeding out my signal like I am now unable to contain it, usually run the other way." She mused as she let her fingers relax, pulling her claws back as she released the orb, letting it rest lightly in her palm should it wish to stay, but free to leave.
"Are you afraid of me little one? You do not seem afraid?" Cas quipped tone teasing.

The 'little thing' shifted in the grip of the much larger mon. Curious in it's own right about the being that held it so close now. The sense of the other one bringing more questions to it. Did she need to do that to understand their make up? The orb tilted slightly and let out a small yet curious note. It was hard to put it's 'finger' on it but it didn't get the sense that it was in danger here.
Then she spoke, telling how she ate little morsels like them. Though to them it didn't seem to really be so much as a threat as a musing of sorts. It'd let out a soft eyt somewhat bemused note. Lightly questioning the teasing nature of the other. It'd rest easily on the palm of the other, tilting it's body this way and that as though getting used to sitting there for the moment.
Then it was asked if it was afraid. Why would it be afraid? In here of all places? Were it to be consumed it likely would just return to it's place of resting eventually. All returned to the sea of blood did it not? The teasing tone was met with a somewhat earnest honest string of notes and an eventual rotate of it's orb this way and that.
We are not afraid no. Were we afraid we wouldn't of approached. Curious we are about you.
More notes, more soft hums and an eventual little jiggle as it floated upwards. Not out of reach of the other if they wished to grasp them like before. The orb considered briefly trying to translate what the other was saying, trying to meet the sounds that it was producing. But all that came out was a jumbled mess of vowels and noises. Which just caused the orb to cough afterwards.
Musical notes seemed to be all that it was capable of, though it seemed to want to communicate better with the other. It'd circle around the other, curious in it's musings and curious about the creature still. It's questions remained unanswered so what should they do...?

"Excitable little music box aren't you?" Cas quipped her wry smile softening into something more warn and natural to her fanged countenance. Her eyes tracking the orb as it moved and swayed. It seemed intelligent enough though whether the communication barrier was one way or that it could no more understand her then she could it left the Doctor with much to consider.
"If you can understand what I am saying chirp twice please." She request before adding.
"Though I don't see a mouth on you. I wonder how you eat even less make so much noise. Perhaps you're vibrating the air through that film around your core and absorb things through it like a jelly fish." Cas mused lightly tracing the orb with the tips of her claws with such a gentle whisper soft touch as to be almost ticklish.

Orion would of blinked if they had eyes, they would of tilted their head, given a curious look or done something that wasn't vibrating their body to produce these notes. These gentle itterations of what it wanted to communicate. It was excitable yes, but also insanely curious and the beeps themselves led to that conclusion all their own. However at the suggestion of the 'chirps'? Orion let out a pair of notes before falling silent.
It'd pause a second time as their musings caught their attention and the orb bobbed up, then down and then shifted one way to the other. Indicating some small motions the other couldn't see. Though with the touch of the other it'd let out a soft somewhat amused note. Something akin to giggling, the touch was rather ticklish. Even if the other hadn't intended it.
The orb shifted this way and that, still inspecting the other. Finding new things about them that it didn't understand. From variations in stance, make up and the little tid bits of left over data from their touch. Everything that this other mon did helped it understand a little more. It'd circle cas curiously. Giving a nudge here, or a hum there as though trying to give the other the same level of inspection that it had received.
Though there was a few things odd with this thing, the fact it couldn't talk proper was one. It'd struggle and try here or there, only to find a static out of word mess in it's place. Much to it's irritation and grumble of it's 'throat' as it didn't like what it was trying to do. It wanted to talk to this being, this other. In the same language but it lacked the capacity; having to instead rely on the notes time and time again...
