Toki nodded at Gil as he looked towards the little Digimon happily frolic about. "You're a good person, Gil. Of that there's no doubt. They'll live on and have happy memories thanks to you." He said to him, genuine in his praise and admiration. He continued to watch the Digimon as Gil left to get some food. He looked contemplative. There was something about this sight that made him want to pursue a noble goal himself, but he just was not sure what.
"We'll be there if you need anything at a moment's notice, Gil! You can count on it." Aylin said as she bid him good luck on his gathering. She noticed Toki's pensive expression, but she did not want to interrupt him. She just smiled at him and remained by his side if he needed anything.
Once Kenny asked who Tsusagimon was exactly, both of them sort of snapped out of their own thoughts to think of how to answer such a question. Though since the question was aimed at Toki, Aylin let him go first. "Where to begin...? I mean...he was with me since the beginning of my adventure in the Digital World. From the start he always had a word of advice and pushed me to test myself in ways I wouldn't have considered. Most of my deeds, for the longest time, were usually by his suggestion. I wasn't really in the best place when I first came here. I felt isolated from my family, I had no friends, and no real...aspirations, I suppose. He helped me find a purpose. A drive. He helped me be more outgoing and confront the inner demons that haunted me for so long. In the end I kind of wanted to be like him, but he never liked that. He just wanted me to be my best self. To push through the struggles I was having while I helped piece him back together." He said. It was a little difficult to speak about this, given how fresh his loss still felt in his mind.
Despite that, he continued "Once we got a few of his spirits back, he remembered more about himself. How he was a Digimon from the Blossom Isles who made a name for himself after he went on a pilgrimage to train away from his home. He spent much of his life away from the Isles, learning from other Digimon and discovering himself along the way. Eventually he opened a monastery of sorts back at his home, which Aylin and I are slowly renovating into shape again. He was respected. He was kind. He saw the best in people, even when they struggled to see it in themselves. He was a bit overbearing from time to time, but because of him I discovered things about myself I never would have otherwise. Humility...altruism...I'm not trying to be a hero. I'm just trying to be a good person."
Aylin nodded and added on to the story "Father was always a little strict, but never out of malice. He knew people sometimes needed a push to really grow. He was always patient and never raised his voice at others, even when lecturing them. He always put others before himself and never tried to make the people he taught become exactly like him. He let people live their own lives and choose their own path. The only thing he wanted from others...was kindness. He wanted them to understand the value of that most of all. There really weren't a lot like him back then. He never wanted to start fights or harm others without good reason. In the end, it was his nobility that led him to his final battle at Terminus all that time ago, where his Digimon form finally faded into the spirits he is now."
