There was a rather awkward beat between Hiroyo introducing herself and Lucemon cackling where the red head's face slowly went pinker and pinker. Her head slumped and she nodded sadly along to Yuko's reassurances while Roger cackled unkindly on her shoulder.
"WELL, I guess not all of us get big fancy diplomatic parties huh?" Hiroyo quipped after a moment of feeling sorry for herself. Her face was still bright pink but she raised her head just in time to give Lucemon an odd look at the sister comment. Gleeful suspicion crossed her face and she stood a little straighter. "Do you mean-"
"A fight sounds like thebest idea!" Roger broke in to voice his aproval for a fight, the bug leaning forward while his antenna twitched wildly. The Kunemon was very clearly excited for a fight. "A good brawl is just the thing to cure up a bought of boredom!"
Hiroyo furrowed her brow as Ophelia agreed with Dracmon and it was nice that they weren't fighting but was this really something any of them should be encouraging? No wait, there was something more important she wanted to ask! "Hey, when you say your sister do you-"
"I agree, surely even Rasielmon could see the benefit to a small scale spar." Morgan said as he moved closer to Lucemon and looked the Demon Lord up and down. Hiroyo made a strangled noise behind him and threw her hands in the air which prompted an annoyed hiss from Roger as her shoulder shifted beneath him. Morgan didn't notice and kept speaking. "However,i would think a straight-forward fight might be too boring. Perhaps we can liven things up?"
"How, what, ugh, do you even have anything to suggest?" Hiroyo finally asked. She dropped both her arms, although instead of both returning to her side one reached up so she could massage the bridge of her nose. She seemed resigned to the fact that a fight was going to happen. "...Should we have a referee maybe? To make sure things don't get too out of hand?"
A thoughtful look crossed Morgan's face and he landed on the ground. He promptly began tapping a claw on the ground while he considered. "I must admit I had not thought as far ahead as how we could liven things up."
"Who caaaares!" Roger whined just before he flung himself off Hiroyo's shoulder to the ground. "If we ban using items the fight'll be pretty straightfoward, if we're entertaining a guest we should go all out! Full chaos!"

"Exactly!" Lucemon said, nodding in agreement with Yuko. "Trust me, if I ever meant to insult someone, my tongue is more than sharp enough to do the trick. No, no. I meant it~." Immediately Lucemon cringed away, presumably thanks to another sharp tongue-lashing from their sister. "Honestly, you'd think she and Leviamon traded domains when I wasn't looking," they added. As Hiroyo asked who it was, their only answer was a playful smile.
Everyone who wasn't currently thirsting instead focused on the idea of a battle. Lucemon pumped a fist victoriously as their plea was answered, before shooting Rasielmon the smuggest grin. "I think our answer is clear," they said, taking a few paces away to survey their potential opponents.
In particular, Dracmon suggested all of the combatants being locked to their Rookie forms. Immediately Lucemon's disposition changed. The warmth left his eyes, the smile left his face, and he did little more than stare blankly at the party. "You wouldn't want that," they said, voice cold and dull. Just as quickly as Lucemon's strange mood surfaced, it faded, their stony face breaking into a warm grin. "Besides, isn't the fun here to see what we can all do? It'd be so selfish of me not to show you all my best. Don't worry: do your best, too, and I promise you'll be fine."
Next they noted the other concern. "Items on, chaos reigning, nothing off limits? I like how you think, little bug!" Lucemon said, laughing warmly. "You can do anything in your power to turn the tides of this fight. Why, your humans can walk over and punch me right in the face, if they so wish! And in turn, I'll make sure something of interest happens during every part of the fight. If its chaos you want, it's chaos you'll get! For instance . . ."
Lucemon turned to Rasielmon, then snapped their fingers. Immediately she recoiled back, clutching her head. She squeezed her eyes shut as if her life depended on it, and once they opened they looked clouded over. "I . . . what? I . . . I can't," she muttered, lost in a daze. She looked to Lucemon, opening her mouth as if to accuse them of something, but flinched away to clutch her head again.
"I figure a fight with spoilers isn't much of a fight at all. So I turned off her future vision," Lucemon said, as casually as one would mention closing a door or flicking off a light switch. "Now you can serve as a perfect referee. Trust me, it was either that or the guy on the griffon. And I'm pretty sure you're way more fun of a judge, Rasielmon."
With their little party trick over, Lucemon settled into a fighting stance. For such a regal looking Digimon, they had a surprisingly good understanding of martial arts fundamentals! Their hands were perfectly arranged to block their body, and their stance was set at a perfect width. Were it not for the many wings ominously framing their body, they'd look less like an archangel and more like Ken Masters. "Well, now. I believe it's time for you to show me your stuff, mm?
Come at me with everything you have!"

Digimon really were hard-coded to fighting, pun only halfway intended. It was the only explanation Yuko could come up with as to why all of the Rookies had so eagerly jumped at the opportunity to have a fight with Lucemon, despite all logic pointing to the fact that this was probably a really, really bad idea. Ophelia was getting particularly excited at the prospect, purring in a way that gave the human girl a sudden urge to cuddle the adorable white lion cub. Difficult as it was, she managed to resist the cute and kept her arms to herself. “Are we even sure it’s gonna be a friendly spar? He IS a Demon Lord, after all.” She pointed out. And the newbie Tamer’s fears were validated, as the group was soon advocating a chaotic brawl with no rules. Well, at least it seemingly made Lucemon happy, who forced Rasielmon into the referee role just to keep up the pretense that this was going to be in any way, shape or form a ‘fair’ fight. The Demon Lord of Pride even invited the humans to take a shot at him if they wanted. Yuko gulped at that and took a step back. “Uuuh… No thanks. I’ll pass.”Dracmon giggled, because of course he would. “Kihihihihihi! Judging by your stance, it looks like you picked up some new moves, eh Lucy? Alright, prepare to face the Demon King’s fists of iron!” The tiny vampire claimed, assuming a fighting stance of his own that looked more humorous than intimidating thanks to his size. He steeled himself, as if getting ready to strike… and then ran off to the sidelines. “Seriously?! If you’re just gonna run away, at least give me a heads up!” Yuko yelled at the fleeing Dracmon. “Who said I’m running away?” The self-proclaimed Demon King turned his head back, smiling a huge smile. “There are no rules, and something Lucemon just said gave me an idea~”The Undead Digimon giddily ran up the the Hippogriffmon and its MagnaAngemon rider, and waved casually at them. “Hey there, big bird. Your rider looks preeetty nervous. Can’t say I blame the guy. Things really do look hopeless. Not even Rasielmon is safe from Lucemon!” He said, before putting both of his hands up, the unblinking, dichromatic eyes inside his palms staring right into the Hippogriffmon’s own. “Eye of Nightmare! Look deeeeeeply into my eyes. Throw that useless angel off your back and get the honor of being the Demon King’s royal steed.” He said in his best Transylvanian accent, as he tried to hypnotize the winged beast. Granted, he was a Rookie trying to impose his will on an Ultimate-level, but he was banking on the fear of Lucemon having lowered the army’s moral, making them more prone to suggestion. What could possibly go wrong?
OOC Notes: Move used: Eye of Nightmare [Non-Combat]: Hypnotizes the foe with the wicked eyes in the palms of its hands. The effect of the hypnotism isn't lasting, nor is it absolute. Requires OOC permission from the involved player.

To say Ophelia was hard-coded to fighting would be pretty accurate; though frankly, a lot of her upbringing was partially to blame, for this. She was raised to be tenacious, to be wild, to take adversity by the horns without fear - and as a result? She, as one might expect, grew up to be quite the wildchild, sometimes even by digimon standards! Cassie, of course, was the opposite in this - the little Gomamon-X had just as much spirit as Ophelia did, whenever she had the opportunity to show it, but she was far more timid at the idea of fighting someone head-on than Ophelia was. As a result though, Cassie would sit this fight out - the baby seal shying away at the idea of fighting a DEMON LORD, of all things - whereas Ophelia was more than eager to take up the challenge, her tail lashing, and her fangs bared in a toothy grin. This eagerness would only be distracted when Rasielmon seemed dazed, almost - the Spadamon snapping back to attention, to peer over to the feline angel. Cassie, too, seemed concerned - running up to Rasielmon as she asked "Are you ok, Rasielmon..?"Ophelia would cast Rasielmon a concerned look as well, though Lucemon calling for them to come at them would draw her attention away; noticing that the angel was in a readied stance, and likely waiting with breathless anticipation for one of the group to come at them first. This would elicit another rumble out of Ophelia, as the glow of digivolution overtook her; her height growing, and her armor spreading over her body, until she became that of Himamon! Well... If this was only to prevent Rasielmon from spoiling the fight, then the sooner they wrapped this up, the sooner Lucemon would turn it back on, right...? With that in mind, Ophelia figured what better way to start off the match, than to go all out? Even through her gloves, she could first feel the rough, rugged ivory of Winter's Gasp under her fingers, before she let her hand trail to the better-kept wooden grip of it; fingers wrapping around it tightly. This was an artifact that likely had been thru many generations, more than she could even imagine, and it showed easily in the material - even though it was well-kept otherwise. It was something that likely had many stories to tell, to someone who understood what the scrapes and marks on it meant; and it was likely that it'd see many more stories, in her hands. It would only take a quick flick of her wrist to unhook the horn from the belt, and from there, the motion to bring it up to her lips was easy. She would take in a single deep breath, before - her eyes slowly closing all the whilst - letting out that breath in the form of the low, droning call of the horn; blowing it with all her might! The bellow was a clarion call that would likely stir those who heard it to action - in fact, even the very winds themselves seemed eager to join in at her beck and call to action, whirling about them and leaving them swift upon their feet; even as the bellow of the horn began to fade into that of a briefly-enduring echo, with Ophelia's unfortunately limited breath! It'd take another motion of her wrist to hook the horn back onto her belt once more with one hand, whilst the other hand would draw her Azure Fang - the hilt visibly changing in shape and size, so as to fit comfortably in Ophelia's hand. From that hilt, crystals of ice would form together into a sturdy long-sword, which Ophelia held in both hands with a practiced hue; baring her teeth in a mix of excitement, and determination. The winds spurring her on as it did everyone else, Ophelia would lead the charge at Lucemon - roaring in a spirited battlecry, as she swung the sword a them in a Frozen Cleave; eyes wild with excitement!
- Ophelia digivolves into Himamon - Next, she starts off the battle by using Winter's Gasp's Tailwind ability, to spur everyone into action and increase their speed! - Charging in at Lucemon head-on, Ophelia then uses Frozen Cleave at them! - Tempo increases to 1 stack Move Used:[ATTACK] Frozen Cleave: Enhancing her Blue Blade with ice to make it more fitting as a standard sword, Ophelia darts in with a battlecry and slashes down the foe with ferocity! Unarmed Variant: With gauntlets of ice, Ophelia bashes her foe with her fists! [1 Turn Cooldown] Artifact Used:Winter's Gasp; Tailwind: The winds spur your Digimon on forward, increasing their speed by 25% and increasing the speed of their allies by 15% for three posts. Passives:[PASSIVE] Prominence Native: Having particularly thick and fluffy fur - even by Panjyamon standards - and having been raised in the coldest parts of Prominence, Ophelia has increased durability against ice/cold-based attacks.
[PASSIVE; RAM] Tempo: Ophelia is a scrapper who prefers getting up close and personal - and the more she fights, the easier it gets for her as she gets into the rhythm of it. For each turn that she makes a direct melee attack, she gains 1 stack of Tempo at the end of that turn - and for each turn that she doesn't make a melee attack, she loses 1 stack of Tempo at the end. She gets a 6% attack and accuracy increase for each stack she gets, capping at 30% attack and accuracy at 5 stacks.
[PASSIVE; RAM GIGA] Lionheart: Ophelia is stubborn, willful, and passionate - especially in the heat of battle. Those who try to influence her mind or emotions find it difficult to overcome this side of her - and more often than not, she powers thru from sheer will, and the sheer anger at someone trying to control her like such. As a result, she is highly resistant - if not outright immune - to effects that influence her mind, emotions, or disposition, such as mind control, taunts, rage, fear, or pacification- unless she allows another digimon to influence her in this way. "Oh that is concerning." Morgan muttered as Lucemon sealed Rasielmon's foresight. Hiroyo's forehead furrowed as she concentrated on the figure ahead of them, her breathing becoming more shallow. Roger's head was pointed unerringly at Lucemon, the stripes on his face narrowed almost to nonexistance.
Lucemon had their full attention for the moment.
"Is this really going to be okay?" Hiroyo spoke as quietly as Morgan had, her voice barely reaching Morgan. There was a short decisive snort from the Kunemon on her shoulder and he bunched himself up before throwing himself off her shoulder to the ground.
"Hah! Of course! It's us after all, and look at Ophelia go!" Roger crowed. He reared up and shook himself thoroughly, little arcs of electricity begining to dance across his skin. Abruptly his head jerked to follow Dracmon's apparent retreat. Roger listed, his beak parting in a grin as he her the Demon King's reply to Yuko before he turned his attention back to his little group. "Someone's gettin' clever! Hiroyo, you ready?! Just like we talked about!"
"Uhm, moment!" A tube of lipstick was flung into the air as the woman all but ripped her purse open. A small palette of eyeshadow was knocked to the ground and ignored as she pulled the green and gray digivice out. She could hear her heartbeat in her ears. "Alright!"
The low drone of Ophelia's horn abruptly cut off whatever response the twins' were about to make. Hiroyo startled at the sudden noise and then the chill. She expected to shiver, she expected a deep breath to hurt like winter. Instead she thought she could feel the chill settle her heart as the wind urged her into motion. The nervous expression on her face eased away and she closed her eyes. The edges of the digivice pressed into her palm in a reassuring way. She raised it above her head, her lips moving as the call of the horn began to fade.
The seams of the digivice burst with light, the screen flickering into life. The twins' forms glowed as well, a single line from head to tail across their backs. The bugs' forms split neatly along the glowing light as if it were a seam and their adult forms rose from the remains, shedding their former skins.
'It doesn't hurt.' Hiroyo thought in some weird space betwen calm and shock. They had risen to champion before, she had facilitated the change but always, always it had come with a twist to her guts and a nauseous sensation but now-
Now she was fine. Better than fine, in fact. Her eyes slipped shut and she could see with perfect clarity a stance, a pose, a movement, a change. She shifted her feet apart, lowered her hand to hold the digivice parallel to the ground in front of her opposite shoulder. She couldn't push the twins higher, not yet. Their trust was a fragile newly grown thing but she knew the trust they had for each other. Alone as a pair they couldn't do it, normally with her she couldn't do it, but for a brief moment in the chill of the air and the knowledge that Dracmon was plotting she found a moment of clarity.
"Morgan! Roger! Digivolve to..."
She didn't know the name of the form but she knew its pieces and more importantly they knew each other. She ripped the digivice through the air in front of her, her wrist twinging as it reached the fully extended position out. The light from the digivice took on a reddish hue and the twins were obscured by a red shine. Their forms broke apart into tiny cubic fragments. The pieces streamed to a spot between the two, blended and mixed by proximity. The humanoid form assembled itself and the light burst outward and faded away revealing the gleaming gold in its place.
"MetallifeKuwagamon!"
The twinned voices settled into a harmony of both then into something new. A part of the breeze called by Ophelia broke off to surround and push the figure, stirring the dust around his feet. The figure looked at its-his-hands and Hiroyo opened her eyes to stare at it. There was no further drain than what it took to maintain both of the twins' adult form. Her lips curved into a smile and she dropped her hand to her side.
"Are you going to keep looking at yourself or fight?" She asked playfully. The figure picked up his head then nodded, a chuckle rumbling through his frame.
"Strange to hear you say it. Ophelia! F̶o̵r̶ the gift of wind we thank you!" Metallifekuwagamon lept into the air untroubled by the small glitches in his speaking, a plume of red trailed from the bottom of his feet as he rocketed forward. He flipped awkwardly in the air over Lucemon's head as Ophelia swung her sword. He twisted mid air and cut off the jets hidden in his boots to land beside the Demon Lord as his body crackled with power. Electricity sparked and arced across the golden arm, dancing from joint to joint and between the finger tips. He closed his hands and lunged forward with a quick, straight jab aimed at Lucemon's rib cage, aiming to slip beneath thier guard while hopefully not fouling Ophelia's own attack.
His movements were clunky and awkward but the figure pressed forward resolutely nonetheless. He wouldn't let a little thing like new body stop him!
Combat Log Morgan Digivolves to Waspmon! Roger Digivolves to Flymon!
Morgan and Roger DNA Digivolve to MetallifeKuwagamon!
Unsteady in this new form, the entity MetallifeKuwagamon nevertheless charges straight into battle!
His own speed boosted by Winter's Grasp and his own Tailwind, MetallifeKuwagamon charges to Lucemon's side and attempts to attack them after Ophelia swings.
Abilities Tailwind [Passive] - This digimon is followed by the wind as if the air itself was a loyal pet. It’s faster than your average Ultimate as a result.
Sparking Style - This entity emits electrical energy from its joints as it uses melee attacks against the foe. Looks pretty but is pretty simple at the core.

"I . . . I'm fine," Rasielmon said, though her voice was still lost in a dreamlike haze. She blinked with purpose, as if trying to get acquainted with the new lens she was seeing the world through. "I'm an archangel. I've been through worse. Besides, your sister needs you right now, doesn't she?" Rasielmon smiled. It didn't quite reach her eyes, but it still conveyed at least some warmth and reassurance.
Much less warm and reassuring was the look MagnaAngemon shot Dracmon. It was something between disdain, disgust, and disbelief. The angel's nose wrinkled and eyes squinted as if someone had farted while cutting onions. He didn't even entertain the notion of speaking to Dracmon, simply turning away and guiding his Hippogriffmon's reins away from the little demon.
There was a problem with that. Hippogriffmon wasn't moving. It looked up at Magnamon, eyes glazed over and wings beating slowly. MagnaAngemon's smug look unfurled as his jaw slowly opened in realization and horror. It finally hit him just as Hippogriffmon bucked him off, sending MagnaAngemon tumbling into the clouds. The big bird flew down to Dracmon's side, kneeling down so his new liege could saddle up.
Lucemon's eyes sparked as they saw this, the fallen angel clapping in excitement. "Bravo, bravo!" they cheered. "Now that's some real ingenuity! Why, I- Oh, wait, hold on." Had Lucemon flat-out stopped their praise to let Ophelia's horn ring out uninterrupted? Wow, for a literal incarnation of sin, they sure were considerate! They turned to watch the little lioness and her insectoid companions, the tailwind rippling their robes but leaving their perfectly coiffed hair untouched. "And is that the tip of Belphemon's horn? Oh, there simply must be a story there!"
Hiroyo's Digivolution, on the other hand, was met with no response from Lucemon. Their smile simply widened, eyes flashing eagerly. This brand-new fusion landed to one side of Lucemon, while Ophelia had charged up to their right. Immediately they angled themselves to stand in line with the duo, one hand outstretched towards each. First came Ophelia, spurred on by the northern winds. As she brought her blade down Lucemon leaned out of the way, leaving it crashing into the grass to their side. Next came MetallifeKuwagamon, hurried along by the southern winds. His strike came closer, but didn't quite make it. Lucemon lifted an arm, then smashed it down, pinning MetallifeKuwagamon's wrist beneath their armpit. As they did so Lucemon hopped into the air, quickly aiming to leap on Ophelia's sword and pin it beneath their foot before she could pull it back.
"I knew it! You're a brand new fusion, aren't you?" they said, practically vibrating with excitement. "Still not even in control of your own body. And yet, with such determination! Why, if I'd underestimated you, you could've jabbed me right by my Digicore! Though not every foe will be willing to cut it so close. You certainly have speed on your side, so why stop at such a simple probing jab? Perhaps a hit and run attack may be more your forte.
And you." Lucemon looked towards the deep gash Ophelia had left in the ground, whistling. "So much power. For one of your level, it's off the charts! You've been using that sword a lot, haven't you? Yet such power, and such crisp technique, being used to charge in a straight line? By the time you recover from the force of the swing, your foe will easily be able to turn things around on you. Try battering me down, wearing away at my defenses, then coming in with the killing blow.
Okay. My turn!" If Lucemon had landed on Ophelia's blade they would jump off of it now. If not, they would simply flap their wings and take to the skies. In either case, Ophelia and MetallifeKuwagamon would no longer be pinned beneath Lucemon. The angel then extended a hand towards each of them, light energy gathering in their left palm and dark energy in their right. "Try and dodge this!" they suggested, before massive beams of energy shot from each hand. Each was the size of a far larger Digimon's attack, like the cannons of a Machinedramon or JumboGamemon, and yet had come right from Lucemon's slender palms. The beam of darkness hurtled right towards Ophelia, and the beam of light right towards MetallifeKuwagamon. Would they be able to get out of the way in time?
If they couldn't, perhaps they'd realize something strange. Ophelia would face no more pain than your average Champion level attack, and MetallifeKuwagamon no more pain than your average Ultimate. Wasn't Lucemon supposed to be powerful beyond belief?
Combat Log: Lucemon dodges Ophelia's swing, catches MetallifeKuwagamon's blow, and gushes a little about their untapped potential. They then decide to show some of their own potential, taking to the skies for a technique of their own. Heaven and Hell: Let's Rock! Lucemon extends their palms, firing massive beams of light and darkness from each. The beams can be aimed at two different targets or focused onto one. Passive - ? Lucemon's technique, despite its imposing size, seems to deal damage proportionate to their foe's level. Odd.

The Hippogriffomon yielded to Dracmon’s hypnotic gaze, throwing a very shocked MagnaAngemon off its back and kneeling before its presumed new rider. “Kihihihihi… Attaboy! You’d better bow before the Demon King!” The tiny vampire giggled, while petting the beast’s feathered head. “Wow… I can’t believe that actually worked.” Yuko observed from the distance with a dumbfounded expression. Even more impressive was the feat of Ophelia Digivolving into an awesome-looking, super sentai lion-woman, and tooting her literal horn, its wind-manipulating sound filling every Digimon and even the humans themselves with a strange sense of reassurance. “Hell yeah! Kick his ass, girl!” She cheered for the grown up lioness. Meanwhile, the two insectoid Digimon pulled their own form of Digivolution, fusing together into a stronger form. In other words, more super sentai tropes! “MetallifeKuwagamon… that sure is a mouthful.” The newbie Tamer muttered, still in awe. “A DNA Digivolution! Not bad. Go get ‘em, boys!” Dracmon cheered for them, pumping his tiny fist in the air. “DNA Digivolution…” Yuko nodded in understanding. Two anime characters fusing together was a simple enough concept for someone living in Japan to grasp. At least they weren’t using some silly made up name for it, like ‘Jogress’. That would have just been confusing. Heck, even Lucemon was impressed… but that didn’t stop him from wiping the floor with them, as one would expect. Not only did he block the evolved Digimon’s attacks seemingly without breaking their sweat, he also retaliated by taking to the skies and raining blasts of darkness and light at them. “Shiiiiiiit!” Yuko shrieked, taking as much distance as she could to avoid any flying debris. She frantically searched her pockets for her Digivice, finding it, pulling it out and clutching it tightly. “JOKAAAAAH!!!”Dracmon smiled an impossibly large smile, his body suddenly radiating power. “Now we’re talking! Dracmon Digivolve to… Jokermon!” A sped up version of his transformation sequence played out, before Jokermon appeared on the field in all his flamboyant glory. “It’s showtime!” The Clown Prince exclaimed in English, holding his jester cap and jumping on the Hippogriffomon’s back. “Ahh, this is much better! It’s a good thing I got those griffon-riding lessons from my old pal Murmukusmon.” He claimed, grabbing the winged beast’s reins with one hand, while his other dramatically pointed forward. “Let’s ride the wind, boy!”Assuming the Hippogriffomon would obey its new rider’s command without issue, he would guide it to take flight and ride the Tailwind summoned up by Ophelia’s magical horn, which should allow it to fly straight towards the airborne Demon Lord at impressive speed. Once he was at aiming distance, Jokermon held up his palm, laughing. “Bahahahaha! The Passing Trump has appeared to change the tide of this battle! You will find that this clown always has an ace up his sleeve, and every other card for that matter! Royal Flush!” A bunch of cards flew out of the jester’s sleeve, their edges sharp as razors, shooting towards Lucemon like a rain of flying darts. OOC Notes: - Digivolves to Jokermon - Takes flight on Hippogriffomon's back (hopefully with success) - Aims at Lucemon and uses Royal Flush.
Passives: Old Timer's Knowledge [Passive]: Upon meeting a new Digimon - except those of the "Unknown" family and beings that aren't really Digimon - he can figure out its Species, Attribute, Family and Type. Furthermore, if that Digimon belongs in the Nightmare Soldiers or Dark Area families, he can also figure out its weaknesses, if any. Passing Trump [Passive]: Bestows "good luck" on the whole party. Allies find their attacks slightly easier to hit and doing slightly more damage. Demon King's Charisma [Passive]: If the user was not hit by any attacks in the previous turn, reduce all of his cooldowns by 1. This ability itself is not affected by this, having a natural cooldown of 3 turns. Effects: Winter's Gasp; Tailwind: 15% increase to Speed (presumably applies to Hippogriffomon as well). 2 turns left. Move used: Royal Flush [Attack]: Throws a full deck of cards like projectile darts, hurting multiple enemies with their razor-sharp edges. Those hit have the accuracy of their next attack greatly lowered. Has a 4 turn cooldown. Cooldowns: Royal Flush: 4 turns

Rasielmon's reassurance and smile would only slightly abate Cassie's concerns; the little Gomamon-X fidgeting in place, the claws of her flippers digging into the grass and earth below, as she glanced out towards the combat that was ensuing. "Mm..." She'd frown deeply, resting her head on her front flippers; before mumbling "I... Don't know how much I could help, to be honest." in a soft tone, seeming to be thinking hard back to when Ophelia had been training with Valt and Skadi. "Like... I can definitely, help! I'm not denying that! But... I don't think I can help in any significant amount; I'm still a Rookie, not a Champion like Ophelia. She's always been a fast grower, compared to me or Laertes; much faster. But that also means that... My abilities don't help her as much as they would have if we were both at Rookie..."Meanwhile, as for the combat itself... .. For that briefest moment, the thrill of the battle had - perhaps - caused Ophelia to get a little bit ahead of herself. Not that the use of Winter's Gasp had helped much in the matters, nor did the excitement of using a new weapon, or the excitement of fighting a Demon Lord of all things... Still, Ophelia couldn't help a soft snarl thru gritted teeth as her attack would miss - Lucemon easily leaning out of the way of the attack, even with her increased speed! But, perhaps, that was what she should've expected; this was a Demon Lord she was fighting, after all! When Lucemon would pin Ophelia's Azure Fang to the ground, she would indeed attempt to pull it free - albeit only the slightest avail. Though the blade was less actual ice and more like solid crystal, condensation was collecting and freezing on the blade; leaving a slick layer of frost over it that made it slip slightly, before it'd catch once more under Lucemon's weight. However... That didn't mean that Ophelia didn't have a trick up her sleeve. Seemingly out of nowhere, the blade would appear to completely shatter! Without a blade to pin, Ophelia would be able to easily pull the hilt away from Lucemon, hopping back a short pace to prepare herself to go onto the offensive again... ... Though, even as a new blade began to form on her Azure Fang, the battle-happy Himamon would pause as she realized that... Lucemon was talking to her? Giving advice to her, even - it honestly threw Ophelia off a little. She would be quiet as they spoke; being unable to help but think of Valt, and how he'd give her advice during their spars and training sessions... Briefly, as she regained her composure, she also couldn't help but wonder whether she should be taking advice from a Demon Lord, of all digimon; though it didn't seem that Lucemon necessarily had ill will towards them, right? Ophelia wouldn't have long to ponder this further, though, before Lucemon would leap upwards; taking flight, and preparing an attack! The massive beams were something that definitely fit the scale of a Demon Lord; though Ophelia had already been on the move, the second that Lucemon had begun to even charge the attack! Her feline reflexes - paired with the increased speed from her Winter's Gasp - aided well in this, being able to dive just clear of the large attack; going into a roll as she landed, coming to a stop on her feet. She could feel the way that her core almost skipped a beat from the massive attack; feeling like she had dodged one hell of a bullet. Of course, this meant that she was unawares of Lucemon's passive, at the present, but... There was always a chance for her to learn next time Lucemon attacked, no? Speaking of attacks, though... Ophelia could hear in the background the beating of wings, as Jokermon mounted and directed the Hippogriffomon towards Lucemon. Glancing back and seeing the beast flying in their direction, and idea would occur to Ophelia as she took hold of her Azure Fang with both hands; deciding to try something a little cheeky. Instead of a weapon, the blade would shift into something else for a short while; something between that of a shepherd's crook or a ladder hook; a long pole with a blunt hook at the end, seeming quite unsuited for combat. Ophelia wasn't about to use this to attack, however; no, she had other ideas! Raising the hook in the direction of the flying Hippogriffomon, Ophelia would allow Azure Fang to hook onto one of its legs as it passed overhead; pulling herself upwards and onto its back, behind Jokermon! "Hope you don't mind me improvising a little~" She'd remark to the Clown Prince; her feline senses lending well to her sense of balance upon the flying beast, despite the fact that she wasn't properly seated like he was, instead crouched down as though she were ready to pounce! Which, technically, she was - she just had to get a little bit closer... As Jokermon brought the Hippogriffomon in towards Lucemon so as to aim a Royal Flash at them, Ophelia would use the cover of the attack to do an attack of her own; leaping from the Hippogriffomon's back! Azure Fang, meanwhilst, was changing in shape once more; the long pole and hook from before shifting into that of a fascimile to Ophelia's Blue Blade, as she drew the actual sword with her other hand, and did an overhead attack at Lucemon with both blades! Certainly, perhaps some jabs would be better suited to Lucemon's advice; but that would likely be for when they were both at ground-level, instead of in mid-air. She really should see about figuring out that chain idea, that Valt had mentioned during their training session... In any case, assuming that Lucemon wasn't about to do a mid-air counter, Ophelia would allow herself to go into freefall from there; doing another tumble to her feet as she landed upon the ground below with all the same feline grace.
- Ophelia is juuust able to dodge Lucemon's Heaven and Hell: Let's Rock! with her enhanced speed; diving out of the way. - Following up, she hitches a ride on Jokermon's Hippogriffomon, before leaping at Lucemon with Frozen Blades; using Jokermon's Royal Flush as cover fire! - Tempo increases to 2 stacks Move Used:[ATTACK] Frozen Blades: Using her Blue Blade in addition to an ice replica, Ophelia darts in and slashes or jabs at the foe! Passives: [PASSIVE] Prominence Native: Having been raised in the coldest parts of Prominence, Ophelia has increased durability against conditions of extreme cold, as well as ice/cold-based attacks.
[PASSIVE; RAM] Tempo: Ophelia is a scrapper who prefers getting up close and personal - and the more she fights, the easier it gets for her as she gets into the rhythm of it. She gets a 6% attack and accuracy increase for each stack she gets, capping at 30% attack and accuracy at 5 stacks.
[PASSIVE; RAM GIGA] Lionheart: Ophelia is stubborn, willful, and passionate - especially in the heat of battle. "And if I am what's it to y̶o̴u̵?! Stand still and take my fist!" A frustrated growl like the angry whirr of an overworked computer fan rose from MetallifeKuwagamon as he found his punch not only blocked but pinned. He was dragged bodily from the ground as Lucemon jumped to avoid Ophelia's attack.
Abruptly the DNA evolution was released and stumbled into a kneeling position as Lucemon took to the air. He swiftly regained his feet, head trained on the Demon Lord in the sky. He crossed his arms in front of him to block, his feet skidded back a short distance as he was shoved by the beam of light.
It hadn't hurt, at least not as much as the fusion had been expecting.
"You... what is this?" He wondered as he lowered his arms. He hurt. There was no denying the move had hurt but something seemed, off. He had not fought before in this form, had no other datapoints to judge the papin he knew he should have been feeling against what he currently was. He just knew it didn't hurt as much as a move from a being of Lucemon's status should have. Was it a trick? Delayed damage?
"Aaah, it doesn't matter! You gave me a̴d̷v̵i̸c̷e̷ and I'll take it and you on!" He roared. His sensors caught Hippogriffomon's flight and the newly evolved rider on it. Ophelia's leap onto the beast's back was also tracked and the insect digimon vaguely considered attempting to join them on flying mon's back. He dismissed the thought almost instantly. He could fly on his own terms, and all of them together like that was a risk.
No, he'd support their charge from another angle.
He took a couple running steps forward and then the jets on the bottom of his feet kicked on and he stopped touching the ground. He skated on a layer of super-heated air as he approached Lucemon, a delighted laugh raising from him. Still spurred on by warm southern winds and his own personal tag-along the insect was able to approach Lucemon from differnt angle than the Hippogryphon and riders.
"Gatling Laser!" He lifted his hands, the barrels of his fingers glowing red and then the shooting started. A barrage of lasers raced for Lucemon and MetallifeKuwagamon's apparent head-on charge abruptly veered away as he took Lucemon's advice and began the 'run' part of hit and run tactics. Neither of the moves he had used so far were very strong, but each turn that passed saw him stabalizing and moving more surely than before.
And who knows, maybe his shots would get lucky.
Combat Log
MetallifeKuwagamon eats the blast but is confused by how much it doesn't hurt.
He gets up and starts 'skating' around on the ground to try and distract Lucemon from the Aerial Assault Squad.
Attacks with Gatling Laser
Moves Used Gatling Laser - Fires a barrage of weak lasers from its fingertips. They might be individually weak but there are a dozen of them.
Passives Tailwind [Passive] - This digimon is followed by the wind as if the air itself was a loyal pet. It’s faster than your average Ultimate as a result.
Effects Tailwind, Winter's Grasp[Ophelia] - Speed Boost Passing Trump[Jokermon] - Good luck boost! Attacks easier to hit, deal more damage.

"I know how you feel," Rasielmon said, voice soft. "I'm a seer, not a fighter. And Lucemon took that away from me with just a snap of their fingers. Against any other Digimon I could have been giving advice, warning them about attacks, helping guide the fight. Instead, I'm just . . . well, a referee." She sighed, a guilty smile spreading across her face. "Guess we're both stuck to the sidelines here, huh? But I'm sure if worst comes to worst, we'll be able to make a difference. Don't lose hope yet!"
Lucemon's attention wandered from the battlefield as they turned to Cassie and Rasielmon. They shook their head, lips pursed thoughtfully. "Such a shame," they muttered under their breath. "To act like that, they've already lost the fight. Alas." They continued to watch the duo talk, not even turning their attention to the attacks being channeled behind them.
In fact, it wasn't until both the Royal Flush and Gatling Laser were right behind Lucemon that they snapped into action. They turned in a circular motion, sweeping arm motions forming a perfect block that guided the flow of the Royal Flush away from them. In fact, Lucemon had steered the attack right into the Gatling Laser, each card soaking up a laser blast before falling to the ground in a pile of ashes. "Be careful attacking so simultaneously!" Lucemon warned as the last cards blew away. "A wide enough guard, or even a redirection, can lead to neither move making its mar-"
Immediately, Lucemon's eyes widened. Not only had their advice been preempted, but it had been executed flawlessly. Ophelia came bursting out from behind the cards, the attack Lucemon had put so much care into neutralizing little more than a smokescreen. They reacted as quickly as they could, springing back on their back foot to avoid the worst of their attack, but it was just a hair too late. Ophelia's overhead cleave sliced right down Lucemon's chest, a spurt of data bursting from the fallen angel.
They gingerly touched a hand to their breastplate, then burst into laughter. Unlike the maddened laughter one might expect from a mark being made against a prideful being, this was clear and full of warmth. Their eyes shone brightly as they smiled at Ophelia. "I just knew you had potential!" they cheered. "Such a beautifully executed strike! Oh, and the teamwork! Have you done this before? But look at me, prattling on when I could be fighting.
Perhaps I should take a page from your books, mm?"
Lucemon lifted a hand into the air, three copies of themselves splitting off of their body. One of these resembled a pure angelic version of Lucemon, the other a completely fallen variant. The third seemed almost like a midpoint, with tattered grey wings and a deathly pallor. Despite their different appearances, they each performed the same attack. Shaking their wings, they let loose a swarm of feathers, each Lucemon aiming for a different Digimon. Lucemon Noir had targeted Jokermon, Lucemon Blanc had targeted Ophelia, and Lucemon Gris had targeted MetallifeKuwagamon.
As each Lucemon opened fire, the real Lucemon teleported away. They then appeared behind Ophelia, aiming to plant her into the ground with a vicious axe kick. "Always watch your back!" they called, a mere second before the kick would fall.
Combat Log: Lucemon redirects the Royal Flush into the Gatling Laser, but is so focused on performing and explaining this block that they do not notice Ophelia in time. While they dodge enough to reduce the hit into a glancing blow, Ophelia draws first blood in this combat. Lucemon, enamored by this tactic, replicates both it and themselves. Me, Myself, and I - Lucemon splits themselves into a triad of clones, one black, one white, and one grey. It is unclear how independent they are from one another, and from Lucemon themselves. As Lucemon's three clones open fire at each Digimon, Lucemon teleports behind Ophelia to slam her with an axe kick. Passive - ? Not only do Lucemon's techniques deal damage based on their opponent's level, but Ophelia's strike cleanly landed and damaged them despite their higher level and status. Is Lucemon that committed to a fair fight? OLD TIMER'S KNOWLEDGE Species - Lucemon Attribute - Virus Family - Seven Great Demon Lords Type - Demon Lord Level - Null Weaknesses - Unknown

Amidst the ongoing chaos, Yuko overheard part of Rasielmon’s discussion with Cassie, turning towards them with a somewhat worried look. “Hey now, don’t get down in the dumps. You’re like a kemonomimi archangel with bigass claws for hands. There’s gotta be something you can do other than being a cheat enabler.” The young hooligan tried to cheer up the big cat, before looking confusedly at the Gomamon-X. “Wait, is everyone in your family named after a character from Hamlet?”Meanwhile, the ‘teamwork’ Lucemon gave such praise to involved Ophelia impromptu hitching a ride on Jokah-sama’s brand new wings, that is, jumping into the Hippogriffomon’s back, and waiting until they were close enough to the Demon Lord, before doing a diving attack on them. Interestingly, he had been so busy dealing with Jokermon’s Royal Flush and MetallifeKuwagamon’s Gatling Laser, he didn’t have time to anticipate the lioness’ attack from above, receiving a deep gash on his chest for his folly. “Lucy, Lucy… That was a Champion-level attack. If I didn’t know you better, I’d think that you’ve lost your touch.” The Clown Prince mused, shaking his head. Of course, he DID know Lucemon well enough, and he DID know that he was in fact much better than that. After all, he was basically an A-list celebrity over at the Dark Area. Yet, something about his performance was clearly off, namely that his power level seemed to be all over the place. Lucemon then created three copies of himself, color-coded for convenience. The black one flapped its wicked wings, shooting a swarm of dark feathers towards the airbound Jokermon. “Welp! I guess this is goodbye. It’s nothing personal, it’s just business. By the way, if you do see Count Murmukusmon, tell him I said hi.” Jokah said to his Hippogriffomon mount, petting its head, before vanishing into a cloud of colorful data, leaving the poor bird to tank the attack all on its own. The sinister jester suddenly reappeared right behind the real Lucemon, brandishing his ruby-colored scythe. “You should follow your own advice, darling! LUNATIC SLASH!” He exclaimed with a wicked smile, swiping his scythe downwards, hurling a blood red energy blade at the fallen angel from close range. OOC Notes: - Uses Teleport, sacrificing Hippogriffomon, in order to teleport directly behind the real Lucemon. - Attacks the real Lucemon with a surprise Lunatic Slash from close range. Effects: Winter's Gasp; Tailwind: 15% increase to Speed. 1 turn left. Move used: Teleport [Attack]: Suddenly teleports behind the enemy and follows up with a Lunatic Slash. Has a 3 turn cooldown. Lunatic Slash [Attack]: Hunts the enemy down with its scythe, which can hurl energy blades.
Cooldowns: Royal Flush: 3 turns - 1 = 2 turns
Demon King's Charisma: 3 turns Teleport: 3 turns - 1 = 2 turns

"Mmm..." Cassie would quietly peer up to Rasielmon, at the other's soft words; her own expression being similarly guilty and unsure, initially. An advisor who could no longer advise, and a healer whose healing could only do so much... It all didn't exactly feel comforting, as far as contributions go - but... The idea that they could contribute in other ways, and that they could still, somewhere, make a difference was something far more comforting, instead. Yeah... Even if it's only a little, a contribution is still a contribution, right? "Well..." Cassie would speak up in a murmur; glancing out towards the fight. "... If we can make a difference, then... Why don't we make a difference, now...?"Taking in a deep breath, the little Gomamon-X would begin to blow a bubble - a rather sizeable one, a little larger than Yuko's head - filled with bubbling, sparkling water. Once the bubble was blown, Cassie would proceed to headbutt it - "Ophi, over here!" - and bounce the bubble in Ophelia's direction! Yuko's question, however, would briefly interrupt the little Gomamon-X's train of thought, once the bubble was fired off. She'd blink briefly, glancing towards the tamer with an almost owlish look, before tilting her head. "... Hamlet?" She'd question; looking visibly puzzled. "Is... that a movie?" She couldn't help but think back to the movies that she and Ophi had watched with Tetsu and Gryz, awhile back; unable to help but wonder if Hamlet was something like that, in a way. In the midst of this all, though, was the combat. As Ophelia felt her swords hit their mark, she would be unable to help a low rumble of satisfaction; finding a certain excitement in having been able to land a hit on a Demon Lord, of all things. This excitement would make her grin, make her grip her Azure Fang just a little tighter as she sheathed her Blue Blade for the time being; already ready to prepare herself for her next attack to follow up in the assault that they were putting on Lucemon. What she didn't entirely expect, though, was Lucemon's laughter. The Himamon couldn't help a blink at this - turning to glance up in the Demon Lord's direction, and noting the bright warmth that they seemed to exude. The laughter, the warmth, and even the praise that Lucemon would give - it all confused her, in a way. Weren't they supposed to be an enemy? And yet, even though they did come here looking for a fight... They were praising the trio, as though they were a loving mentor... It gave Ophelia conflicting feelings, honestly; feelings that she wouldn't have much of a chance to process, given that Lucemon's own follow up attack would be coming. Glancing above, Ophelia could see as Lucemon split into a trio of identical yet different selves; Light, Neutral, and Dark. These three clones would send out a barrage of feathers to attack each of them - the white-winged one in particular targeting herself! Ophelia, however, was quick to react; the wide spray of the feathers was likely going to be hard to dodge - so, she didn't. Instead, the vents on the back of her gauntlets would hiss; releasing clouds of ice-cold mist that would quickly collect and freeze into a pair of bucklers, on either arm. Raising her arms up, the feathers would slam into the ice of the bucklers; sticking into it as though her bucklers were a dartboard. Ophelia, though, wouldn't be out of the woodworks yet. As Lucemon spoke from behind her, Ophelia would only have a split second to whirl around - though between her feline reflexes and the lingering speed increase from Winter's Gasp, that'd be all she needed. Bringing one arm around and over, she would brace herself as the axe kick came slamming down into the shield; it beginning to fracture under the weight. However, thankfully, the shield would hold; which then raised the question... Shouldn't this all be doing way more to her, with how strong a Demon Lord is supposed to be? It would be about now that Cassie's bubble would impact, however; the Invigorating Waters splashing over her as the bubble popped on impact. As the water was absorbed into her body - any excess quickly evaporating - Ophelia could feel the burst of adrenaline that came with it, and was quick to capitalize on it. She would swing her shield to knock Lucemon's leg aside - aiming to put them off-kilter - before bringing forward her Azure Fang (the blade in the shape of a rapier's blade) to thrust it at them, in an attempt to stab the Demon Lord! It would be around now, however, that the winds from Winter's Gasp would also begin to peter out; no longer aiding everyone's speed...
- Ophelia blocks both the feather barrage, and the axe kick, with Ice Buckler - Cassie joins the fight, and uses Invigorating Waters on Ophelia - Following up Ice Buckler, Ophelia knocks aside Lucemon's leg, and attempts to stab at them with her Azure Fang in a basic attack - Tempo reaches 3 stacks, Winter's Gasp; Tailwind is wearing off. Ophelia's LogMove Used:[ABILITY] Ice Buckler: Ophelia forms a shield made of ice on her arm, which she can choose to use to block an incoming attack. As a result, she is highly resistant - if not outright immune - to effects that influence her mind, emotions, or disposition, such as mind control, taunts, rage, fear, or pacification- unless she allows another digimon to influence her in this way. Effects:Tempo - 3/5 Stacks; 12% increase to Attack and Accuracy this turn, 18% next turn Winter's Gasp; Tailwind - 3/3 Turns; 25% increase to Speed Invigorating Waters - 1/2 Turns; 30% increase to Attack and Speed Passing Trump - Jokermon's Passive; Slightly increased accuracy and damage Cooldowns:Winter's Gasp - Once Per Thread Ice Buckler - 0/3 Cassie's LogMove Used: [ABILITY] Invigorating Waters: Cassie produces a single bubble filled with a bubbling, sparkling water, and either launches it, or leaves the bubble floating. It follows much of the same mechanics of Bubble Aid, except that instead of healing, in buffs a single recipient - increasing attack and speed by 30% each for 2 turns. Much like Bubble Aid, the bubble can be popped as a free action by an ally or moved by an enemy, and lasts 2 turns before popping on its own. [3 Turn Cooldown]
Passives: [PASSIVE] The Eager Medic: Cassie has natural potential as a healer, and her bodyshape and natural strength lends well to devastating tackles - but her bodyshape also leads her to be a little awkward on land, and in non-snowy or non-icy conditions. Her healing is 30% stronger than a normal digimon's, and her attacks 15%, but she's 30% slower - except for when in water, or on snow/ice.

An annoyed 'tch' sounded from MetallifeKuwagamon's helmet as he watched Lucemon use the cards to block his lasers. The end result was successful enough but the cyborg bug couldn't shake a pang of annoyance at the way it had happened. Or at least he couldn't until the Clown mentioned something rather interesting.
His eyes narrowed as he veered away from the clones and the main section of the battlefield, getting his distance again. Something tickled at the back of his head because he had gotten hit by Lucemon's move earlier and it certainly hadn't felt like a champion-level attack. Something else then? An adjustment of power on the fly to match the recipient?
"Hah! Is this all you have in y̷o̵u̶r̶ bag of tricks? Moves that are weaker t̷h̴a̸n̷ they should be and obvious deception?" He taunted as Lucemon's clone attacked him. In truth he was glad to make use of his distance and his speed to keep ahead of the feathers - the osund of them thunking into the ground behind him promised nothing good for his already blasted body. Luckily while the wind around the others was dying down, his own was remaining stead. Like a gentle hand of a friend, pushing him to move faster.
"Come then! I can take on m̵o̸r̷e̵ than one of you!" He chuckled, the noise grating and echoing. A raised hand pointed at the clone of Grey, a build up of light as he skated into alignment with the double. A quick blast of light that shot toward the Lucemon Gris only to twist and turn at the last second in ways light shouldn't and bounce off of seemingly nothingness to fly at Lucemon Noir instead. "Parallax Blast!"
A ploy for attention and perhaps to cut down on the number of enemies. Would it work?
Eight, eight again. Hiroyo clutched her shining digivice to her chest as she counted words and breathed. MetallifeKuwagamon wasn't what she'd been expecting but then she hadn't been expecting anything. She shook her head to cut off that line of thought and focused on the fight and the pulsing tightness in her chest. Normally when the twins were digivolved they, they were two seperate and distinct draws on her stamina. Two different demands on her energy.
She winced at Metallifekuwagamon's taunting and bit her lip. That was Roger, clear as day. Morgan was the quieter side: the one who put Lucemon's advice into practice, but he was also in the spoken too-in the lack of contractions. It was a relief but a complication as well. Did it mean she'd get her partners back at the end of this or would they be stuck as this composite? This fusion as Lucemon had called it?
It didn't matter. They had chosen this and she focused on pouring herself into the demand for energy. She shuffled closer to Rasielmon and Yuko. She watched as the seal took off toward the fight, her eyes following the bubble for a moment before snapping back to MetallifeKuwagamon.
"Have you seen something like this before?" She asked Rasielmon, gesturing with her free hand toward the fight.
Fight summary - MetallifeKuwagamon's Tailwind keeps him just ahead of those feathers. - He fires off a Parallax Blast in Lucemon Gris' direction only for it to redirect toward Lucemon Noir instead - He also taunts while channeling both Roger and Morgan, Hiroyo finds this comforting.
Passives Tailwind [Passive] - This digimon is followed by the wind as if the air itself was a loyal pet. It’s faster than your average Ultimate as a result.
Moves Parallax Blast - Some people would claim its not possible to bend a laser, or even redirect a ‘shot’ from a laser gun without a mirror. Those people aren’t digimon and don’t possess Roger’s disregard for what physics says he can do. This powerful attack can be redirected to shoot around an edged shield. Three turn cooldown.

"I mean. I could," Rasielmon observed, averting her eyes from Yuko shyly. "But, goodness, it's been so long since I've actually fought last. I'm so out of practice, and when you're going up against the best pure technician of the Demon Lords . . ." As Rasielmon said this she bit down hard on her tongue. She closed her eyes and shook her head. When she opened them again, they looked a touch more clear than before. Perhaps it was seeing little Cassie step up to the plate that had derailed her train of thought. Or perhaps she was simply done being scared. "Talking like that's not going to help anyone. If things get out of hand, you can count on me to help." The smile on her face was still somewhat unsteady, but at least it was back.
Lucemon's own smile remained small, confident, and radiant. Not even Ophelia's shield block to their leg managed to shake it. Rather than let her smash them aside, Lucemon simply sprang directly off of the shield to jump away from Jokermon's incoming slash. As they leaped away they flapped their wings heavily, aiming to leave Ophelia stumbling right into Jokermon's slash. "I warned you to pace yourselves with such attacks," Lucemon chided, using that heavy initial flap to take to the sky. "Now, I could just blow this island up if I wished. Maybe take you all with it. But that doesn't very entertaining, now does it? No, no, a fight is nothing without danger! So perhaps it is acceptable to sacrifice my touch for something more worthy, no?" It seemed Lucemon not only was fighting down to the level of their foes, but they were also all too happy to do so. Pride comes in the strangest of places, doesn't it?
Much less prideful was the Hippogriffmon, who had already confined itself to being Dracmon's servant. For this reason, it simply responded with a bewildered squawk when Jokermon had teleported away from it, not even seeing the storm of feathers coming. They sliced past its body en masse, leaving it tumbling out of the sky haplessly. By the time Lucemon had taken to the skies, the Hippogriffmon had long landed. Seeing this, Lucemon immediately flew down to its side, softly setting a hand on its flank. "Hey. Hey, come on, it'll be okay," Lucemon said, their hand pulsating with a soft white light. Slowly the Hippogriffmon started to stand, leaning weakly against Lucemon. Lucemon smiled, then slung themselves onto the aerial Digimon's back. It reared back, then took to the skies with surprising speed. "You've served the rest well, my friend. Now, serve the best!" Lucemon cheered, now surveying the battlefield from above on Hippogriffmon's back.
While Lucemon Noir was the only of the Lucemon clones to hit their mark, they were also the first to be hit in turn. Unlike Lucemon Gris, who had dodged the Parallax Laser beautifully, Lucemon Noir didn't even realize that MetallifeKuwagamon had aimed at them until it was too late. The laser sliced right through their chest, dispelling them into a swirling mass of shadows and black feathers. After a few seconds the shadows reformed into what resembled a Lucemon silhouette. For the time being they didn't attack, but with each second they started to turn more and more corporeal. The other two Lucemon did not pay their fallen comrade any mind, instead flying towards one another and taking each other's hand. Gris proceeded to spin Blanc around in a circle, Blanc shooting a massive beam of light from its outstretched hand. It swept across the battlefield, searing across the surface of the Sanctum and sending the angelic army scattering in a panic. Rasielmon chose this time to snap into action, practically flinging herself towards Yuko, Cassie, and Hiroyo. Her only goal here was to shelter them from the blast with her wings.
Combat Log: Hippogriffmon and Lucemon Noir are hit by the feather storm. Lucemon Noir dissipates into shadows, and Hippogriffmon is sliced up and sent hurtling to the ground. Lucemon springs off of Ophelia's shield, flapping their wings harshly to try and send her stumbling into Jokermon's scythe slash. Upon taking to the air, they fly towards the fallen Hippogriffmon to reinvigorate it. Lay On Hands - Lucemon gently touches another Digimon, imbuing them with some sort of life force. Along with the healing, the recipient seems far more spry than it was prior. As Lucemon surveys the battlefield from Hippogriffmon's back, Lucemon Blanc and Lucemon Gris meet in the center of the battlefield, Taking hands, Gris spins Blanc in a circle, as Blanc sweeps the battlefield with a massive laser of light.

Yuko looked nervously at the confused Gomamon-X, not sure what to say to her. For how mainstream Hamlet was in the real world, that was decidedly not the case in the Digital World. “Well… it’s kinda been made into a movie. With lions!” And that movie’s version of ‘Ophelia’ was also a lioness, so all pieces fit together somehow. At the same time, Rasielmon seemed to have gotten over her pessimism, so that was good news for them. “That’s the spirit! And I’m definitely gonna count on you, because you’re big and strong and I’m kind of a sitting duck.” The young Tamer joked to lighten the mood. While Ophelia and the DNA-Digivolved twins tried to dominate the fight with swift, acrobatic maneuvers and… attacks that blatantly mocked the laws of physics, Jokermon had taken the more direct approach of hitting Lucemon from behind like a true gentleman. Unfortunately it didn’t pay off. “What?!” The jester exclaimed dramatically, as if playing along with the Demon Lord’s swerve. Before he knew it, he was a collision course with Ophelia, forcing him to take a clumsy turn to avoid hurting her or himself. In the time it took for them to recover their bearings, Lucemon stood by the wounded Hippogriffomon’s side… and healed it? That gesture of kindness won the flying beast over, who accepted Lucy as its new rider, much to Jokah’s chagrin. “Traitor, how dare you! Even after I treated you with nothing but kindness!” The Clown Prince angrily shook his fist at the now airborne duo. “MetallifeKuwagamon! I’m getting tired of that bird’s ever-changing loyalties. Bring it down!” He barked an order at the insectoid, who was currently the only flying combatant on their side. What an inspirational leader! Jokermon’s single visible eye then focused on two of the Lucemon clones, as they prepared their combination attack. His annoyed grimace turned into an ugly scowl. “Oh no, you don’t. Out with you, cheap imitations! Out, I say! Gaia Magicar!” He exclaimed, willing a magical circle to manifest directly beneath the two clones as they performed their intense hand-holding, shooting powerful beams towards them. Naturally, that left him vulnerable to their own attack. The mad clown let out a girly scream, as he narrowly avoided being completely pulverized by the blast of light fired from Lucemon Blanc’s hand, but still got knocked back by it. Really, he was lucky that this was only a Champion-level attack for him. Yuko cowered behind Rasielmon, as the latter shielded them from the blast. In the heat of the moment, she even somehow managed to grab Hiroyo’s wrist and drag her closer. “You okay?” She yelled. Soon, they were joined by a rather hurt-looking Jokermon stumbling over to their side. His colorful clothes were singed, and he was even missing a tooth somehow. “Make room for meeeee!” He cried out, as he bravely jumped behind his Tamer’s back. “Wow, you sure run fast when you’re trying to save your own ass.” A somewhat flustered Yuko observed. OOC Notes: - Jokermon recoils after almost hitting Ophelia. - Orders MetallifeKuwagamon to take down Hippogriffomon. - Uses Gaia Magicar on Lucemon Blanc and Lucemon Gris. - Their attack damages him, but he's not out for the count yet. - Yuko tries to protect Hiroyo, while Rasielmon tries to protect them. - An injured Jokermon ducks behind Yuko until he recovers his strength.
