Normally the bells of the school announcing lunch's end were the worst time for students, as it meant they would return to their boring classes and hear their boring teachers giving their boring lectures for a few hours. Lunch time was the momentary reprieve they had to chat with their friends, laugh and waste time with a myriad of different topics, games or whatnot.
Mikazuki, however, was currently not sharing the sentiment.
Right now, alone at the school roof, the boy-giant could only look down like a dejected puppy from the school roof towards the city as he unenthusiastically munched on his bento, a towel stretched on his side and many sorts of different pastries and cake samples from Ryouta-san's bakery laid there, waiting to be eaten. Usually one would see him devouring the meat and mashed potatoes dish with eagerness compared to a starving lion, but even his favorite dish could not hide the fact he was alone there. His friends had all but ditched him for reasons they didn't even bother sharing with him in their phone.
10 minutes went by and the poor blonde could only mechanically nibble at his food and look at his cell phone with a sad face, sighing as no message came in and returning to his food.

Lunchtime! The bell couldn't have rung at a more opportune time, in all honesty. Yuuya had begun to grow relatively hungry and bored in his morning classes, so a well-deserved break was more than welcome.
Why had he decided to abandon the classroom, given that was his usual eating location? A variety of reasons, even if they could all boil down to a single name; Evie. The girl had a penchant for being a bit to... curious and that, combined with the usual Student Council activity had left him with the desire for some privacy at times. Not to say that his new acquaintances could be very loud at times.
Thus, the male found himself at the rooftop, a place that, more often than not, was totally empty. Except for today, it seemed. Already sitting and eating, Yuuya found that blonde guy from the other classroom whose name he couldn't quite recall. Wasn't he always hanging out with at least other two students? Not like it mattered to him, even though he looked... kinda sad at the moment.
Not like the guy was good at reading the mood, mind you, but... with this one, it was pretty easy to tell. Yuuya could almost say that he looked like a sad puppy. Deciding to potentially do his good deed of the day, he walked and sat, right beside him.
"What's up, big guy?" He asked as he mechanically unpacked his bento. "Weird to see you with a long face." Yup. Kinda blunt, but what else could be expected from him?

"Oh, hey." Mika's expression was a bit surprised at the newest arrival since most people tended to avoid the rooftop for some reason. At least when he, Junpei and Yuko were there. He reasoned it was because it was impractical to come eat outside of the classroom or the cafeteria, which meant the rooftop was usually abandoned. A far cry from the truth, which was that people simply shunned his friends and, by association, Mikazuki himself, but it was a simple enough delusion that kept the boy-giant from pondering further on the issue.
"Well, um..." The blonde rubbed the back of his head, a slight inkling of a polite smile adorning his features, though the veracity of it was kind of... questionable. "I was just waiting for my friends. We usually have lunch together here, but..." the smile dropped. "They didn't show up for the last ten minutes. I tried texting them, asking what was going on, but they didn't respond to my texts and i'm... sorta worried."

Big dude seemed to be rightfully surprised at the development. Truthfully, Yuuya avoided most kinds of physical and mental effort like the plague, so it was quite the rarity for him to be seen anywhere outside his classroom. Anyway! This situation wasn't about him, so that line of thought was unnecessary.
"Your friends, huh... I think I've seen you with them before. The other big guy and the girl who looks like she exited an appointment with the acupuncturist before it was over, right? You three are a colorful ensemble."
The way the young man spoke sounded matter-of-factual, almost bored, but no less truthful; at least for him. "Did they come to school today? Maybe they're just sick or something and they are sleeping at the moment. There's been a pretty bad flu outbreak in the winter, especially since some idol decided that face masks weren't 'fashionable' and a lot of people took after her."
Dumbness at its extreme, but one could do? Human stupidity doesn't know about limits. "You should try to cheer up. I'm sure the two are fine. As... fine as they can be, I guess."

Lonch-- Lunch, I mean. Honestly, having your own personal chef is a great thing. Karin likes that. She no longer have to eat conbini lunch, or spend her time squeezed by hungry young athletes from the club... the boys from the rugby club is the worst when it comes to that... she honestly don't get it why can't they look down first before they squeezed like it's some game.
Either way, today's food? Another chinese food, not that she mind. Miyu is a great cook, and she's honestly glad that the older female could use the money to research various foods. Once Karin taught her about the existence of cooking videos in youtube, it felt like a whole new world.
...Eh, regardless, it's time to go to her usual lunch spot. The rooftop! The blondie loved it there. There are not that many who would eat there... sometimes people who eat there tends to be loner, just like herself!
--Ha, that hurts.
She twisted the handle, and... well, the wind greeted her. It felt great... but she ended up hearing two people talking... what about? She don't particularly care that much. The seventeen years old girl's mind is not really in it... although she can't help but to mutter
"...Huh, what do you know, looks like I'm not the only one today."
out loud. Eh well, it can't be helped, right? She decided to climb near the water tank and sat there, eating her lunch alone. Though, her expression doesn't looks like she's displeased at the very least.

The stranger's tone bore no malice but was very dry. And not unlike many of their peers, the guy didn't seem to be very fond of the delinquents Mikazuki surrounded himself with. And yet, it seemed to go over the blonde youth's head, as he heard the explanation with rapt attention, looking like a lost puppy all the while.
He then sighed. "I guess you're right. Thanks for your help, dude. I'll check on them later on."
It was then that Mika's eyes widened and a bit of a smile crossed his face. "Would you like to have some of those?" He pointed towards the multitude of sweets neatly displayed to the side. "I bought them to share with Yuu-chan and Junpei-Kun, but since they're not here... I'll just get them some chocolate later!"
But as luck would have it, the boys' conversation was interrupted when the door to the rooftop opened and from it emerged a beautiful blond girl, who seemed a bit too preoccupied with her thoughts to pay them any mind.
Almost like a dog, Mika observed as she walked past them with curiosity brimming out of his countenance and as she perched herself near the water tank, the tall teen broke the silence then and there, not paying any mind to common courtesy. "Hey there! Would you like to sit with us?"

Yuuya had to remind himself at moments why he had decided to cheer up big guy. He really didn't care about him or his friends, but there was something about him that reminded him of a dog. Or a puppy, more specifically.
And, while Yuuya wasn't quite a humans person, he was most definitely a dogs person. So maybe, just maybe, big guy was okay.
Oh, scratch that; he was offering him sweets. Yuuya could definitely buy that; or at least, his opportunistic side could. "Well, if you insist." Without another word, he took a handful of sweets for himself. They looked pretty good, in all honesty. Luckily, before he could scramble for another talking topic that wouldn't distress his new benefactor, another person appeared by the roof. It was another student that he swore he had seen before, even though he couldn't quite remember her name.
What was more than obvious, however, was that Mikazuki was quite interested in her. So much it actually made Yuuya smirk a bit. "It seems like yellow is the new fashion at school rooftops." He idly commented, noting the rarity that was having two natural blonde Japanese teenagers in the same place. "Who knows. Maybe you two have even more in common than that? Only one way to find out."
Not exactly smooth but the reactions those words would prompt would sure be fun to watch.

Mmmm? Who's this guy taller than Ryouta? What does he want? Honestly, Karin's cat-ear earphone perked up the moment he addressed her.It twitched several times as he sounds like... Hmn? He's inviting her to have a lunch together? Eeehh...?
"Why?" perhaps that was a bit too curt, but at least there are no malice there, or displeasure. It's simply someone inquiring why on earth does someone want to eat with someone like her, especially when they're strangers. After she asked, Karin continued to munch on her dumplings. Why is this guy so innocent that it felt like it hurts, or like he's a little brother? Karin can't understand the strangeness of this first impression, but that's what she felt.
"What?" she turned around to the other guy who... seem trying to play a matchmaker? ...She really hope that's just her thoughts speaking and not actually a fact. She stayed her tongue, preferring to not say anything much, lest it's just misunderstanding.
...Part of her wondered if going to this part of the school was a wrong idea after all?

To say Mikazuki was puzzled would be the understatement of the millennium. For one such as he, who had never figured the intricacies of romance or carnal attraction and who was just starved of company and friendship, the implications made by both the male and female currently around him were completely anathema.
He could only exchange looks of utter confusion about their behavior, scratching his cheek in befuddlement. "Erm... what are you guys talking about?" The blonde teen asked more innocently than any of them could have ever thought possible someone their age could even be. "I just feel like having lunch alone is not as fun, especially when you have food to share. My friends aren't here, so I just thought I'd share all this with someone else because I sure can't eat it all by myself." the explanation was followed by a sweet, childish smile and if this was a show, one could swear the sheer cuteness of the gesture would have Mikazuki sparkling like a star. "So what do you say? You want to eat these with us?"

Welp, it seemed like that attempt had failed rather spectacularly. Unsurprising, considering how wary the blonde girl was, and how clueless the blonde boy seemed to be. Ultimately, Yuuya just shrugged at the collective of responses he got. "I'm just trying to get tall guy some new friends. His usual friends, less-tall-guy and acupuncturist-girl couldn't come here today, so we're kind of the bootleg replacement. Ain't that exciting?
Truthfully, Yuuya wasn't all that concerned about the whole issue, but at least he could keep himself entertained that way. He then turned to Mikazuki. "I guess you can refer to me as less-tall-guy and to her as cat-heaphones-girl. We can be your spare set of friends for when the real deal decides they need a day off. Yay." Considering the teenagers' attitudes, that probably wasn't quite happening, but... he wouldn't be surprised if Mika began to jump on one foot from happiness either. That guy was strange
But at least things were more or less peaceful, and his lunch would be eaten in relative calm, unless some kind of disaster happened.

"Ha?" the shorter of the guy just made Karin... wondering if he's a goody two shoes or just outright an idiot. "Listen here, I don't know what sort of game you're playing, or if you're in mood to cheer up some random guy you just meet, but friends are not like playing house..."
Karin jumped down from where she was sitting, and walked to the two boys. "Friends are pretty much people who tolerates each other and emotionally benefiting from bonds... and that's all the more reason for you to be careful in who you should be friend with... and trust me, I'm not the kind of girl that can go buddy buddy with just anyone in flimsy reasoning such as because his friends ain't around... also who the fuck is bootleg, you want me to kick your ass?"
Who are his friends anyway? Someone that's as tall apparently and a girl that... ha? Acupuncture? Seriously? Karin just stared at the guy again, wondering if she heard right.
"...Either way, while I don't think I'll be your friend that quickly just because someone offering me to without much of introduction, your offer at least much more acceptable than the way he word it, so I shall join you."

"Oh, c'mon, it's not like that!" Mika tried to cheer up the guy up, but just as he was about to pat the guy on the shoulder, the blonde girl they were addressing decided to jump down to them herself, before delivering a scathing lecture to the newcomer about friendship. One that Mika took to heart. Tolerating each other and benefitting from bonds... Huh.
So there was more than just giving in friendship?
Still, the Nakamura scion was overjoyed that she ended up relenting to join him. Even though the first part of her sentence sounded a bit harsh, Mika took it the exact opposite way: To him, that was a challenge! She thought he couldn't befriend her! Well, Mika was not gonna let that slide and if there was one thing he was, it was persistent. So while she did that, he just chuckled and brought the sweets closer to them. "Well, i don't mind that. But that doesn't mean I'll stop trying!" The blonde fired back with a smirk before taking a jug of juice out of his bag, as well as a pair of hard plastic glasses and tossed them both at them. "So, we've been here talking and I didn't get your names. I'm Mikazuki Nakamura, but you can call me Mika if it's easier."

Blondie was playing hard to get. That was okay, as far as Yuuya was concerned; not like he held any interest on the girl or her decisively abrasive antics. He was just... kinda forced to interact with his environment at the moment, for better or worse. Probably for worse, considering that he wasn't exactly a pleasant individual to have around.
"Are you a seiyuu, by chance?" He asked Karin once her little speech was over, his tone rather deadpan. "I swear I've heard that same speech from a tsundere in an anime. Pity I can't remember its name; think it was about magical girls, however? Probably a shonen or shoujo of some sort. Those have dramatic speeches every now and then."
The meaning of that comment? Nothing at all, in all honesty; it was just an idle remark about their situation. Apparently, friendship was not something easily given, yet scathing discourses were.
What a weird world. Anyway! It seemed like pleasantries had finally begun, despite the fact that everyone had been present in the same rooftop for at least two posts quite a while. In any case... "Yuuya Inugawa, class 1B. Student Council Secretary. You can call me whatever, honestly. Nice to meet you all, I guess."
Real friendly, right?

"And are you a simpleton by chance?" Karin shot at Yuuya. "It's common sense, and if anime have more common sense than that, perhaps you should take a page or two from it. Who knows, maybe you'll learn something new... for example, manners when it comes to interpersonal relationship. Especially by not suddenly inviting someone outta random to play friends with you just because."
She doesn't care much for the rest of the topic shot by the shorter boy. "Takamiya Karin from 2A, I guess I would be your senpai. Thank you, would you like some dumplings, Nakamura-kun?" Karin offered to taller boy.
Karin is obviously politer toward the taller boy, perhaps because he irked her less, and simply because he's harmless... To the other boy though? Looks like she's as feisty as a feral cat. Well that doesn't matter, as soon the girl would go back on munching her food.
"Hm, cake from Petit Draco, been a while since I last gone there... maybe I'll ask a delivery right now... I'm in mood for some doughnut or salmon bagel."

Mika chuckled at the banter happening between the very proud girl who went by Karin and the snarky guy called Yuuya. Man, if one were to do a paint job, they'd be carbon copies of Junpei-Kun and Yuu-chan! "Can I?" the boy-giant seemed to bounce on the spot at the offer, grabbing the dumpling and sampling it with gusto, eyes widening as his tongue danced upon the exquisite flavor of the treat.
"Wow, these are amazing, Karin-chan!" the blonde exclaimed, practically twinkling with excitement. "Did you make them?!" A simple question it may have been, but Mikazuki had a way of making even the simplest things look as pure and innocent as a child.
