Well, this was it; the group was on their last leg. Their journey towards the mysterious city of Eldoradimon, a living anomaly that traversed the less-populated areas of the Digital World in a constant effort to remain hidden. A living, yet enigmatic city due to its most strict policy: humans, no matter the circumstances, weren't allowed inside.
Without getting too political about it, it kinda surprised Amelie that most humans reacted adamantly to the Japanese government trying to get all the digimons back to their world when Eldoradimon was a perfect counterpart —that had harsher policies, no less— and nobody batted an eye at it. Weird double standard, but that wasn't the reason why they were here, even if definitely a topic they could discuss later.
Right now, the two 'humans' and the two digimons were on road towards that goal, and towards deciphering whatever secrets the diary held. Speaking of which... Huh. Well; I frankly never thought I'd see a pair so determined to fulfill the request of such a duplicitous book. You truly are outstanding humans, and now I can kinda see why he respected you so much...
Oh well, screw it. I guess I can begin telling my tale; by now, it probably won't change anything. I guess that the first thing I gotta ask is... the name Tsumura Yuu. Does it ring any bells to you? I didn't contemplate the possibility of that guy plainly lying to me, as unlikely as that sounds. Amy-chan probably hasn't had contact with him, but Haru and the others... have you heard about him? Amelie gazed at the trio. Did they know anything about this person? The diary had told them they knew some secrets about Koharu's past, so this one was probably linked to them in some way. How would they react? "Anything?"

"You pulled me on an interesting bargain, Book... but it doesn't mean I'm doing this happily," Koharu snappily commented. She hates going on something that she does not want to do. Some adventures are nice, but this one is outright blackmail. And she wanted to exorcise the presence of this thing off her ship too.
The name.. doesn't ring a bell, although it gave her a headache, one that's hurt enough for her to massage her head. She guessed that's someone she knows before...
"...That's your boyfriend," Kon-chan finally spoke.
"WHAT!?"
"That's how it is," Warg added... "Then again, he was your girlfriend for the last year..."
"Alright I want to know the full story..."
It took the two a bit, but Koharu obviously felt like her head is splitting apart... yet thankfully, she managed to calm it down some after drinking some tea. "...Alright, so that's that... and you're saying this Yuu is missing in action... and is why we're looking for him?"
"Indeed... and we got attacked by a creature that severed our bonds... thus you become amnesic. That also happened to the rest, you see."
"...I can't believe it... I can't believe I forgotten someone who was really important to me..."
"...But that's just how it is, Anego. And sadly we have yet to find him resurfacing... there might be possibility that he might be dead."
"No way..."

Things got interesting from the get-go, it seemed. Amelie honestly hadn't expected for the books to spill the beans so early, especially when they hadn't fulfilled their part of the deal. Maybe the thing wasn't that bad, after all? There was the possibility that it was just misunderstood, or resorted to silly antics to get attention. Or maybe the brunette was giving it a lotta credit. In any way... Koharu's reaction to the name seemed quite mild, at least in comparison to her partners'. Or Amelie's for that matter.
"Your... boyfriend?" Or girlfriend. This was as confusing as it got. "I feel like there's quite the story behind this one." And boy, there sure was The tale Kon-chan and Warg would tell would be nothing short of amazing. "So, if I understood correctly, this Yuu person is both quite important, powerful, and also got missing someway? Somehow, I'm not a fan of our chances anymore, but that doesn't mean I won't still give this attempt a chance, especially considering we're gonna find what happened to them, right?"
Koharu seemed to be having a bad time at the moment, so Amy walked behind her and gave her some pats on the back. This one was definitely a tough pill to swallow. After that, she gazed at the diary. "I guess that you got your question answered. Mind continuing?" Oh. I didn't know he had been a girl as well. Anyway, not like matters. In any case... I guess that you got lucky with him, Haru. He's really one of the most caring guys I've ever met.
You see... Eldoradimon, while a decent city on its own, is also understandably exploited as a haven free of human influence. One unsavory digimon in particular either resides or resided there, out of the boundary of any humane law. Basically, he wanted to... be able to extract the chosen quality out of any given human, and freely redistribute or exploit its powers as he sees fit. I don't have to describe the amount of humans he had kidnapped for the purpose of his research, or the unsavory things he did to them.
I was among them. As you might have guessed, I used to be a human in the past. I know I was captured by that fucker, and whatever he did to me ended with me... like this. I know it seems like I'm leaving you all on a cliffhanger, but I'm sure that, somehow, I met Yuu there, and that he was trying to dismantle that operation, but... my memory is fuzzy. That's why I need for you to do what I asked you to do. I'm sure that, once I return to that cursed place, I'll be able to remember everything that and discern what really happened there, and to know for sure what was the fate of everyone involved. Quite the tale. It was borderline fantastic, even. "I guess that then... there's a chance of them being alive? I don't know how likely that is, but... I'm gonna try my hardest for this to succeed. For everyone's sakes."
That sounded awfully idealistic for her, but now that she got a full picture of what was at stake, and kinda could even empathize with the book, if that was even possible.

Silence... Koharu was silent. What on earth is going on? Why... why is this happening like that?
"...Hey, tell me one thing," Kon-chan would suddenly ask. "...Tell me if his sister also in this experiment, because honestly..." Kon-chan doesn't even need to speak it out. both her and Warg just emit the fiercest bloodlust they ever shown to anyone. If there is something that they know, it's that Yuu and Mana and their partner already have the pleasure of being a family. Family doesn't leave one another, family doesn't go away from one another... family will always be together, and once a family, always a family.
Those that messes with their family will SUFFER.
One thing made Koharu curious though... Does this means basically...
"So, tell me, does basically Yuu got his body swapped into those of a girl somehow?" she questioned. "But either way, you're right we probably should go there."
...They might lie, they might not, but either way, with the disguise on, and everything, Koharu would like to get to the bottom of this thing.
"...Tell me, is it fine if we put your corpse in the infini store? Or is that disabled somehow? Because holding corpse like that felt like conspicuous."
"Or if you don't mind being dissembled for a while...?" Kon-chan offered an alternative. "We can just say that you're part of props or something."

Beholding the dragons' fury was something undoubtedly scary, but this situation didn't really merit anything less; in a sense, Amelie felt like an outsider butting into very delicate business. An intruder of sorts, even if she had pretty much been forced into her situation by the book's methods. And by the fact that she was its original owner. There wasn't much to do right now, was it? Just try to be a calming presence in the stormy ocean that was the trio's minds. If such a thing was even possible. I... don't remember anything about a sister, sorry. Nor about him being a girl; just that he one day he arrived pretending to be another captured chosen and began to slowly plot how to dismantle the operation from within. He was like... some kind of law officer? Does that ring a bell? In any case, I lost a good deal of the details of what exactly happened, or how I ended like this. As I said, chances are that my memory will slowly come back once we approach that place.
And, I honestly don't care what happens to my remains. I've been stuck as a book for so long and I kinda just want to move on to whatever's supposed to happen once you abandon this world. As long as you manage to pull this off, feel free to use the method you feel like using. The time was approaching; the signature was already evident on Amy's D-Tector. They were approaching Eldoradimon, or Eldoradimon was approaching them. When it came to a living city, it was rather hard to tell. In any case... the brunette's expression managed to harden, even if just a bit.
"I know this might come as insensitive in a time like this, but... are you ready? We can probably wait a bit if you need some moments to calm down." She didn't have to explain that this operation was very delicate, and that misstep would spell its end. And, in all honesty? She didn't want to know what happened to a human that was found pretending to be a digimon inside ElDoradimon.

"....Hmmm I see..." Kon-chan is definitely still seething but she seem to be far better after hearing that. Perhaps she should tell Valt after this, who knows. What matters for now though is the fact that there are new info. She knows for sure that Yuu are a sheriff, and apparently sanctioned by Luminas to do their "dirty work". Well that's all adds up for the meantime, so at least the skull is... trusted somewhat?
Kon-chan quickly stuffed the corpse inside the infini-store much to Koharu's chagrin. She now have to request a double exorcism in this or what? Either way, with that being said... The team disembarked from the Van Eltia. Koharu simply stores the ship back to her Digivice....
...For the last time of the moment she looked at both her crest and Digivice, then stuffed it to her Infini-store too. Kon-chan and Warg nodded as a sign that they agreed it's for the best. If it's there, then hopefully there are no traces for the two of them to be known as partnered to Koharu... It's dangerous, but it's for the best.
"Are you ready?" Koharu asked Amelie.

The whole situation was extremely tense, and honestly? Amelie herself felt like she didn't quite belong in it anymore. What was a mere book or diary, in the face of a plot who encompassed somebody extremely dear to Koharu and the dragons? Those insecurities had a distant second place in the face of this task's importance, however. It wasn't really the time for her to have any self-doubts, nor for her to believe that something as inconsequential as having the spotlight was of any importance in the face of this.
Haru had vowed to help her, and that meant, by reciprocation, that she had vowed to help the girl as well, and Amy might be a lot of things, but her word was binding. She was doing this, no matter what.
Soon afterward, the foursome disembarked from Van Eltia; given the occasion, she seized the moment to store her personal effects as well. Getting her D-Tector in case things went awry would be a tad harder, but... if things went as planned, she wouldn't have to evolve at all, so there was that.
She heaved one last sigh before finally straightening her disguise. "Let's do this." Thus, the group began to move towards the 'City's' main gate, and readied themselves to ascend through the elevators; the main means with which landbound digimon got in and out of the city. Admittedly, the brunette was very nervous, but she hoped to eventually calm down once they got through the main entrance.
Speaking of which. Eldoradimon's entrance was quite the impressive; definitely worthy of such a humongous city. Many guards were stationed there, while a huge line of digimons was being checked by the guards prior to their entrance. For now, it seemed, it seemed like everyone was passing without that much of an issue, but that was more or less expected. Who in their right mind would attempt to break such the city's most important law?

Well then, what first to do? Thankfully they can enter without that much of a hitch. Should Koharu ask around about whatever happened in the city? She decided to walk toward a stall selling some snacks. "Hi, your ware looks delicious. Is this a local cuisine?"
Kon-chan and Warg meanwhile decided to do the most sensible thing... pretend to read the dairy. Treat it as if it's a normal book. They overlayed city guide on the cover just to pretend as if they're here for travelling. Thankfully, with how Amelie and Koharu looked, they looked like sister Digimons of some high standing. A noble? Keigo definitely thought of it clearly. It's not to point where they looked absolutely glamorous, but they're definitely looking rather... foreign enough for them to wave off 'we're tourists' part.
Kon-chan and Warg can easily play as their chaperone of course...
Now, what would Amelie do in the meantime?

So far, so good. Their disguises had worked perfectly, and the group was now inside Eldoradimon proper. What to do now? The book had requested to be buried here, but... where exactly? The instructions given hadn't been exactly clear, but Amelie guessed that's why they had brought it here. For now, it seemed like Koharu was focused on doing typical tourist things; that would help to keep their appearances! In was a matter of time before she approached her peer's position.
Thus far, she seemed to be doing a marvelous job at chatting with the Kamemon merchant. "Yes, miss! These are Eldradimon's own candied meat apples. They're just a hundred bits each! Maybe you or your beautiful sister are interested in them?" The merchant seemed to be fairly experienced when it came to catching a tourist's eyes, that much was for sure.
Deciding to leave the girl to her own devices, she then approached the dragons. It seemed the next batch of clues was being uncovered in front of their very eyes. Underground. We need to go underground. Can we access the sewers in some way? That's where we're supposed to go. That had been short, but given that the diary's writing seemed to be frantic to the point it almost looked manic, further inquiring on the nature of that reasoning seemed like a bad idea. Instead, Amelie leaned down to the dragons' levels.
"Guess we gotta find that one by ourselves." She whispered in a barely audible tone. "Asking about something like the sewers is bound to raise suspicion."
At least now they had a definite goal. The question... how to reach it?

How to reach it indeed? But Koharu thankfully jumped directly to the rescue. What do they need to look out for sewer? Simple... They just need to look for places with water circulation... That means, they just need to look for latrine pits or perhaps something less suspicious for tourists:
Bath houses.
"Oh my, aren't you flatterer~ But it's not like we'll buy more than one for us each if you just say that you know~ How about doing us a favor? We Gorgon Sisters of Medusiamon and Eruyalemon..." Koharu pulled Amelie closer, gently "are very interested in whatever that can make us more beautiful you see... or things with great beauty. So would you mind telling us about where's the most popular bath house, perhaps? Or something along that line. Oh of course any art establishment too... Do that and we might buy four~?"
She can't imagine places like this to have a natural hot spring... so basically there must be a bath house somewhere. That's why she decided that it's perhaps the best to ask for bath house locations.

It seemed like everyone was already forming a plan of sorts! Their destination? A bathhouse, or any place where they could access the sewage system. A good plan as any! It seemed like Koharu was already putting it in motion, going as far as trying to get some information from the merchant.
At least for now, it seemed like both the twins and Koharu were doing an amazing job at gathering information and tracing an adequate plan. In fact, the only thing Amelie had to do was just to get pulled by the younger girl in order for the haggling to go successfully. The Kamemon seemed to be charmed by the 'digimon' that was currently talking to him!
"You've got yourself a deal, miss! We've got the best bathhouse in the Digital World! It's by Eldoradimon's back; I'm sure you'll be able to recognize it. Its appearance is really striking. Now, regarding your purchase..."
All in all, the apples weren't all that expensive, even if Amy probably wouldn't eat them if she had a say in it. Their very concept was something she found weird. By now, the group was traversing the city in search of the fabled bathhouse the Kamemon had talked them about. Would its appearance become as apparent as he said? Until then... it seemed like the book was beginning to recover its memories even more. The Laboratory is deep underground. I'm sure that we'll find its ruins at the very least; if we're lucky, maybe we can find clues on what happened there, or in case it's still operational we might be able to rescue some survivors. I know this isn't what I asked you to do, though, so... I guess you can ignore it if you want? Granted, chances were that they wouldn't, but at least it became clear that, at least on this regard, the book wouldn't force them to participate on that.

Of course to not cause a scene, Koharu eats the meat apple. The taste? Actually the same as sweet and salty beef jerky. She kind of like the texture too, considering it's not hard like jerky and more to chewy like steak. The meat is cooked through. Koharu passed the other two to Warg and Kon-chan, then offered one to Amelie.
"Aneue, would you like some?" it's seem she's still in her roleplay mode.
Either way, now that they find the bathhouse...
How to get to the sewer? She's sure it'll be strange if they follow the pathway to the sewer out of random, or if they suddenly goes behind the bathhouse to take their chance to enter the sewage... Well, unless of course Amelie have a way to do that...
"...I think it's your time to shine," Koharu whispered once she indeed saw what looked like a sewage manhole..
Then again, let's hope that down there.. .there won't be any Numemons or Scumon.

Guess it was time to take one for the team. Amelie didn't fancy the concept of meat apples in the slightest, but it had been a local treat that her 'sister' had willingly bought. So... she just took the apple in between her hands and gave it a bite. It wasn't bad, but it felt weird nonetheless; chances are that she'd be happy if she never had to eat one of those things again.
It seemed like their destination would be found out rather soon, thankfully; a manhole could be seen in the distance. Well, that had been pretty convenient, even though there was some traffic on the street where the group had seen it. "Think others will be alarmed if we just get in and enter? We probably need a distraction of sorts." She then gazed at the dragons. "What do you think? Can take care of that? I can probably try to do something if you feel like you attempt would fall short. Chances are that I can catch to you later, anyway."
What would the group do? Amy herself wasn't a fan of diminishing their numbers in favor of a distraction, but who could watch a group opening a manhole and at least not raise an eyebrow at it? And most importantly, if Koharu was discovered as a human... that'd ruin the mission on the spot. Better to not risk it, right?

"They'll definitely get suspicious. I guess the other way is to put a stink bomb or something..." Koharu commented in low voice... but how to put something like that? And what worse, they have yet to determine whether there are inhabitant down there too...
"...Sabotaging like this may cause not just a simple reprimand if we were to get caught," Koharu whispered. "It'll be most likely a precursor of a worsening relationship. If we want to go there without proper plan, we will definitely bring chaos to both our teams. We need a better lie or sort pass this one. I also disagree to split our team... So if you have any idea, spit it off right here, otherwise we will get inside the spa and think of it more..."
"...Are you sure that's wise?" Kon-chan asked.
"We can't stay too long. We need some solid plan, and seriously I don't want this sort of thing to bring problem to Ys nor Deeplane... Plus this is mostly my issue isn't it? I can't bring trouble to our alliance because of this."

What could they do? Well, that was a good question, even if, by the end... the answer seemed to be quite obvious, at least for Amelie. "Yeah. We can't really risk being discovered, nor being too suspicious about the whole deal."
A placid smile was given to Koharu, even if it soon was extended to Warg and Kon-chan. "Even if you say this issue is about you, I was the one who prompted this all, didn't I? You are technically here to help me; no more, and no less. I'm a woman of my word, so..."
Those were some pretty intense mental gymnastic being applied, even though Amelie did feel like she was responsible for what happened here. Unceremoniously, she deposited the diary in the dark-haired girl's hands. "I'll catch to you later. I promise. It's not like we're splitting if we end up rendezvousing once I'm done, right? I feel like you should go ahead; You'll need this thing to navigate the sewers, probably. It seems like it's recovering its memory pretty quickly, so I figured it'd help. Now, better get to work; I don't know how much time the distraction will last."
True sneak was undoubtedly out of the question when they were in the open like that, so the best thing Amy could do was to create a distraction that didn't bring any suspicions towards her or their group. Thus, she began turning around the corner of the block they currently were and began to slither while shouting rather frantically.
"Human!!! I saw a human inside a nearby building!"
The commotion caused by that shout was evident; from one moment to the next, it seemed like everyone was on edge at that mere call, and either began to gather around the building the brunette was pointing at, or just follow her. As far as distractions went, that one seemed pretty effective!
