A Not So Deep Dive [Weird Gremlin Twins]

Today was peaceful. A truly calm, silent and otherwise perfectly normal day for most people dwelling within the Archipelago at this time of year. Everyone present at this particular beach (which was really just the staff and a couple of individuals wanting to relax) was going about their business when a literal hole in the fabric of reality (or a portal, for the uneducated) ripped itself open and spat out a green-haired...human? Yeah, that was a human.
She was screaming her head off and plummeted straight into the water, something that attracted the attention of a few on-lookers as she inevitably hit the water. The gathered Digimon stared for a few moments, before one of them, a singular Bokomon, inquired, "...Is it okay?"
At that moment, something waded out from underwater onto shore. Some weird creature in a dress and goggles, staring right at that same few. It said nothing. It only stared.

Peaceful for most, maybe. For Torio it was more of the same old thing where she babysat Nareli and kept her from going hog wild. Not that she was very successful most of the time. Still though, duty called. At least for now Nareli wasn't zigzagging all over the place like a rogue roomba with a knife taped to the top of it. Granted it was still quieter than most days and Nareli had yet to zoom off to go try and stir up some trouble.
For once she was able to sit around and just kind of relax without having the excuse of being in her poor human body that couldn't even leave bed, most days. It was nice and even her Coronamon form which she was convinced had either infinite or just plain crazy amounts of energy appreciated the rest.
Even for how short it was when Nareli immediately ran off just as soon as screaming as heard, prompting Torio to sprint after her. Sad how it was becoming near instinct at this point. Nareli was obviously first one at the scene, hovering over the water thanks to Lunamon's limited ability to fly and hover, letting the more chaotic of the two siblings get a view from above. Torio followed shortly after, forcing her way if need be. "You little.. Ugh. Don't run off like that!"
"Well excuse me! Someone screamed so obviously I'm gonna help 'em! Maybe you should quit nagging me and help out too!" Nareli retorted, though before the twins could start an argument they both happened to notice the weird creature just.. staring. It was just another Digimon, wasn't it? Hell, Torio was purple too and no one was staring at her. Of course Nareli was going to be first to break the odd silence, hovering closer. "Tout va bien?" The Lunamon asked. This person may not know what they were saying, though tone and context might make it obvious there was some kind of concern for their well-being. Might.

Experiencing life again, even if it was through a borrowed body (one that the Digimon felt would be quite irate when she inevitably worked up the force of will to take herself back) was quite...intoxicating? No, perhaps overwhelmed was more suitable a phrase. She should make it towards dry land, first. Though, the vessel's screaming seemed to attract people. One of whom was...addressing her?
The oddly colored Lunamon did pique the purple plantlike girl's interest. And she even spoke a language she knew on-hand. How considerate of her~! "Jamais mieux, Madame Lune." The plant spoke, offering a genuine smile (and revealing some fangs) before she continued her trudge onto dry land, pausing briefly to check if her goggles were on her head.
Thankfully, they were. "...What are you all looking at? Never seen an Arimon before? Haven't you learned it's rude to stare at others?" The Digimon broke out into heavily accented English, glaring at the small crowd. ...They didn't really know how to react to that. Honest.

"Oh yay she's French!!" Nareli nearly took off higher into the air upon hearing the Digimon respond to her in a language that.. Frankly, Torio was much better at speaking. Nareli was a tad bit rusty but still. A French Digimon! Who knew that sort of thing even existed? Torio was just as surprised, the Coronamon's purple tail giving a slow wag. "Yeah, she is! Though you're way too childish to deserve being called something as proper and formal as 'Madame Lune'." Of course she was just teasing, and the other twin knew this. Responding in kind by blowing a raspberry. "Should we be addressing you formally instead, Madame Soleil?"
Some trouble-making part of Nareli was tempted to snatch the goggles and pull a little prank on the gathering crowd... Though she didn't feel particularly inclined towards doing so when Torio was so close and watching her like a damned hawk. When the Arimon belted out with a heavy French accent though both twins nearly jumped outta their Digital selves- Which would've been really awkward, had they actually reverted to their human forms. Thankfully they didn't! Really though by now they should both know that Digimon could speak whatever human language they darn well pleased. "Wanna blow this popsicle stand before someone gets a bright idea?" Nareli offered, noting an increasing discomfort with Torio. Made sense she would be no huge fan of crowds.

...Arimon was pretty sure that French equated to France, right? She nodded a few times at the Lunamon, before she turned her attention to the equivalently strange Coronamon. "...Is there something wrong with referring to someone properly these days...?" The plant-like creature mused to herself.
After a bit of a staring contest between her and the other (NPC) digimon, Arimon's attention was finally drawn back to the twins by Nareli. "...Yes, actually. Though I don't know if this is a popsicle stand at all...I would rather get out of here swiftly. My vessel might end up waking up soon and...I'd rather not have her be in the midst of a crowd of what she might think of as aliens. Plus..." Arimon pointed towards the increasingly nervous Torio.
"Your friend--or sibling might share my distaste for this crowd."

"Then it's settled!" Nareli proclaimed, zipping over to and then behind Torio to grab her under the arms and lift her up into the air with her. The purple Coronamon was rightfully surprised by this, kicking her feet a bit before settling down. This wasn't the first time they'd done this, though it was a bit sudden for her tastes. "Well yeah, a popscicle stand with no popscicles is obviously not worth sticking around. That's the metaphor!" It also may have some rather inappropriate undertones, though she obviously wasn't going to message that while holding the one person who would scold her immediately. Mostly for fear of dropping them.
"You keep saying vessel..." "Anyway! Keep up, plant lady!" Torio had been cut off from questioning the Arimon. Nareli wanted to get her away from the strangely rude group of people and took off after doing a complete 180 away from the water. Torio could ask as many questions as her inquisitive little Coronamon brain could come up with once everyone was better situated and able to hold proper conversation.
The Lunamon kept on going until she could no longer feel those rude stares creeping on the back of her head. At which point she dropped Torio, almost making the poor girl land on her face. Though as it was mentioned, this was not the first time she had been given a lift so she was able to land on her feet just fine.

Settled it was. The Lunamon zipped under her...Hm. Yes, that's probably a sibling, definitely, and snatched them up. "...I don't even know what a popsicle is. It sound crude, though..." Arimon muttered, under her breath as she quickly went to follow the duo away from the strange and silent crowd.
A crowd that dared not to follow, for some reason. The plant rushed up to Torio upon her being dropped. "Oh dear, are you okay? A fall like that could bruise." She glanced up to Nareli. "Be more careful. Anyways...The popsicle stand has been blown. What exactly do we do now?" The Digimon inquired with a tilt of the head, while she went to help Tori up if she required the aid.

"What? Er- yeah, it was nothing." Torio was a bit surprised at that reaction. A genuine first for someone else scolding Nareli, at least in the Digital World. Truly though she was perfectly fine, Coronamon was practically built to take it. Torio looked up just in time to watch Nareli swing back around and hover above the two.. Technical three? Hell, FOUR if you really wanted to include spirits. Nareli simply responded by blowing a defiant raspberry. She'd never intentionally hurt Torio, anyway.
"Welllll... Torio probably wants to play twenty questions. I just didn't think that far ahead!" The Lunamon shrugged. Torio just sort of sighed. She wasn't far off the mark, but her choice of wording and her delivery just.. screamed Nareli, honestly. "I-I mean I do wanna know why they kept using the word vessel.." The Coronamon sort of half-mumbled, shaking her head. Sometimes she wondered whether or not Nareli were self-aware of her own chaotic nature and all the silly things she did.

"And if it wasn't?" Hmph! Arimon folded her arms and gave the most concerned glance that the (actually very ghostly) plant could muster. "I can likely answer and provide twenty questions anywho." She responded in kind towards Nareli's quip. It seemed rather characteristic of the Lunamon, so she wouldn't judge or berate anything.
"The reason I keep using that word is because that's what this body ultimately is--a vessel. Though, it's a rather...rude term. I don't even know what the human who's body I got out of the ocean is like, admittedly..." That should probably cue the twins as to what the specific nature of Arimon and her...not a vessel was. "So, I'm...Mmmh. I hate to do this, but can I ask you a favor? Could you try getting the girl up to speed? When she wakes up?"
Perhaps it was better if Arimon demonstrated what she meant by the phrase 'vessel.' In a flash of light, the plant-like lady was gone, and in her place was a completely soaked, green haired girl who was A) already wide awake, and B) staring right at the twins. Whether it was in horror or wonder was anyone's guess.
...Oh, wait, it was horror. What indicated this? The girl starting to scoot away from the duo. Yep.

"Too unlikely a possibility for me to care to consider. Torio doesn't need to be babied- for that matter, she doesn't like being babied." Nareli just shrugged, evidently insistent on making light of it. Torio didn't say much, because.. she wasn't technically wrong! Maybe she could be a bit less rude about the wording, but that was just a Nareli thing. A kind and tactful Nareli would just be plain weird, after so long. It really wasn't a big deal to either of them.
Both twins' shock was becoming increasingly visible, if going by their facial expressions. Neither of them could have expected more people in a situation similar to if not the exact same as theirs, even if it were the logical conclusion. "I- uh, sure..?" Torio was hesitant to agree to this favor. It was a bit sudden, though that bit was just enough to get both twins internally swearing in panic.
"Woah woah woah woah, woah." Nareli reacted first, shaken out of her shock of encountering another human in this place. Without missing a beat she reverted back to her normal human self. A move that might've been smart had she not forgotten to consider two things: One being, Torio couldn't just shift back for several reasons. And second? It probably wasn't going to help all that much, if not make things worse.
Still one had to consider, would Mari rather talk to what pretty much must've been creepy colorful alien creatures to her, or to the human piloting it? Torio didn't dare to move or to shift back, given if she did the second thing Nareli would have to lug her around. Her human body didn't handle the whole digivolution thing too well. It was a pretty garbage situation, frankly.
"Not gonna, like.. Eat your brains, or something. Torio?" "Y-Yeah.. We're friendly."Arimon probably didn't choose the most qualified pair of individuals for this.

Nobody who had to be 'babied' ever liked to be, the plant noted. Something for her to remember them by as she more or less made her exit to forcibly start her host's orientation to all things weird and digital. One thing did immediately make itself apparent to Mari as the twins reacted to her appearance.
...They probably weren't qualified for this at all. Nobody could blame them, really. She only calmed herself a little bit at seeing the rabbit turn into a human. "...I-I wasn't sure if you were going to eat me in general?" Mari finally spoke. If they were at the very least -friendly- then she could at least ask them a few questions, right?
"W-Where the hell is this? What -are- you? A-And why am I soaking wet?"
Probably not the best start in the world.

"I 'unno. I sure as Hell thought one of these bigger dorks were gonna eat my rabbit for a snack- but turns out everyone's frickin' vegetarian! Can you believe that?" Nareli in typical Nareli fashion was already getting off track, prompting Torio to cover her face with her palm and shake her head. She really didnt want things to escalate because of Nareli being silly, though honestly she was probably just worrying too much. "To answer your question though, we're both human. You're in the digital world. And you're soaking wet because some unseen power felt like dropping you in the ocean." Torio tagged in with a nice and easy explanation.
"Yeah we got dropped pretty randomly here too, though that was a good while ago and it definitely wasn't in the ocean. You remember what you were doing before now?" Hopefully Mari wouldn't challenge Torio's claim to being human for, well.. really obvious reasons. Both of them would probably try hard to dodge around the topic, too. Though it might be unavoidable if they wanted to keep Mari from freaking out.

...The actual human was not making sense. One would forgive Mari for actually looking a little more distressed at this, no? At least the smaller creature was able to explain a few things. Except the fact that she was clearly not human in the slightest. "I know -she's- human, or can turn into one, you're still a furry...whatever that is."
It was at that moment that the same Arimon materialized next to Mari, though with a much more ethereal appearance to her, before she gave the girl a nudge. "What reason does she have to lie to you, numbnuts?" Arimon inquired. "And who the actual HELL are you?" She asked of the plant before turning to Nareli and shaking her head. "...I...actually don't."
"It's lost to time, then!" Arimon snorted. "I barely remembered I could do this, by the way. Sorry, ladies." The ghostly plant bowed in apology towards the twins.

"I-I can change too.." Torio shifted awkwardly, definitely not looking even a tiny bit comfortable with the idea of doing such. But she would if she had to, and no sooner than that. Nareli wasn't on the same page with that idea though and shook her head. "Hell no." She rejected firmly, unwilling to let her sister go that far. Though before the two could argue about it, that's when Arimon would've popped out and sort of saved the day. Sort of. At the very least now the twins wouldn't start to argue, as siblings do.
Nareli just sort of shook her head at the plant ghost and huffed a sigh. "Don't over-complicate it. It'll probably come back to you when you settle down." Torio attempted to soothe Mari, even if it wouldn't be too effective since she still refused to change back into a human. But it wasn't like anyone else was trying to do the same. "I want to explain it to you as best as I can but even as much as I understand your perspective, being new to this whole thing.. I don't know if I can make sense of it. It's just really hard to put to words. If there's anyone you should talk to first before others its your spirit." The Coronamon pointed at Arimon.
Nareli meanwhile looked like she was thinking particularly hard about something while staring at the ethereal flower lady. It wasn't until Torio finished talking that she made any kind of comment. "You know what's weird? Me and Tori's spirit can't come out like you. In fact, we haven't heard 'em talk since like.. Day one! Hmm.. She's right though. We'd still be pretty lost on this whole digital nonsense if we didn't have our spirit to talk to at first." Torio would've thrown a shoe if she had one. In her current form, anyway. It was almost worth reverting for. Almost.

...Okay, so both were apparently capable of becoming human. Mari did not press the furry one on why she opted not to change. That'd...honestly be a bit invasive. Even if she was talking to a lion. The ghostly Arimon meanwhile nodded in agreement. "She's correct. Simply settle down and calm yourself. I'm sure they're not gonna hurt you or anything. Un...less you ask them to. But really, don't."
At the notion that the spirit was, in fact, hers, Mari blinked a number of times. "...Her?" She repeated after Torio. "Yes, me." Arimon replied with a nod. "Be thankful I'm the one you're stuck with! The dead can truly be insidious." ...Something that sounded a little morbid for what appeared to be a plant.
And on the subject of spirits, Arimon actually did have something to say here. "Well, not all spirits are alike in nature and how they work. Some speak. Others remain silent. Either way, the fact of the matter is that we're bonded together, you and I." Arimon pointed a claw at Mari. "So! Be nice to the girls." She demanded.
...Mari was silent at this. Like, genuinely at a loss for words here. What was she even supposed to say?
