Pet Hijinks, but with Monsters!

Lopmon may have been a bit hesitant at first, but eventually boredom beat him to it. As much as one could nap, eventually all that energy has to go SOMEWHERE! And thus, the little bunny sighed as he hid in the trees nearby the local gym. Of course, Mikazuki had objected at first, but not even a saint could resist Lopmon's greatest weapon: The cute bunny eyes! Sure, he felt bad for using them on his tamer, but it wasn't like Lopmon didn't trust his own survivability. He lived in the Cipher Jungle for a long time on his own... what difference was there between a forest of trees and a forest of buildings?
...And now he regretted every minute of it as he cursed this particular stance where his divine foresight had failed him!
See, there was ONE difference he forgot to take into account: People. Lots and Lots and LOTS of people walking about, offering their prayers at the statue (a memento of perseverance that was nothing short of magnificent.), chatting, using their "phones" or just sitting about. People which had yet to see a Digimon in their lives.
So now the bunny was forced to play hide-and-seek from the locals, taking refuge in a tree as he watched the place for an opportunity to leave back to the Nakamura Estate, muttering only. "This day could not get much worse..."
And yet, the cruel mistress that was fate had more plans for the beast...
For something soon caught his eyes and caused the adorable chocolate bunny to peak out of the tree and grimace as he appraised whatever that thing was.

Oh Yggdrasil, why is this human city so big?
Those were Hawkeye's thoughts as he entered Hachiko Square, one of the many famous landmarks in the Shibuya district of Tokyo. Of course, Hawkeye was not in his usual Hawkmon form. He knew for a fact that humans would probably freak out if they saw him, since avian-like creatures in this world are small and do not have archery equipment.
Thus, he was using his holosuit to look like a human. More specifically, a male human with white hair in a ponytail, looking like a pre-teen, thirteen years old at the oldest. Why was Hawkeye in the human world? Well to find his human friend Kaya, of course!
The twelve year old had landed in Hawkeye's village, and the Hawkmon had offered to take her to the Terminus Station himself. When she boarded the Trailmon home, Hawkeye immediately began to... well, miss her. It was as if she had taken a piece of the archer with her back home. So armed with some upgrades and equipment, including the holosuit, Hawkeye was now in the human world, on a mission to find Kaya Matsui!
The only problem is that he had no idea where anything in Tokyo was, including where Kaya lived.
"This is the last time I make impulsive decisions without a proper plan," Hawkeye muttered to himself as he looked around. To anyone around him, Hawkeye clearly looked lost, and other Digimon could definitely sense that he is not human.

Lopmon would normally have let the other Digimon (yes, he could feel it was a Digimon through the illusion it had cast around itself) to their devices. It was not his problem, after all. However, as much as that thought was tempting, it was overshadowed by a characteristic its true form begot without even thinking.
The kindness of God.
"How can I grab its attention, though." the bunny mused from its perch for a good minute until an idea came to him. In a moment of inspiration, Lopmon dashed towards the tree and kicked it, causing it to shake and shed some of its dying leaves. Not enough to give out the cover, but enough to compromise his hiding spot. If the Hawkmon was keen, he'd notice Lopmon's presence without much hassle, though the shaking tree did help give away that fact.

Hawkeye's hearing was extraordinarily good, even by Digimon standards. So when Lopmon began to simply move around, Hawkeye could tell that there was another Digimon around besides himself. It wasn't until Lopmon began shaking the tree that he turned around to face him.
From there, Hawkeye noticed a brown bunny-like Digimon with pink markings in the tree. It definitely seemed that this Digimon knew that Hawkeye was a Digimon in disguise, and wanted to get his attention.
"Hello up there," Hawkeye said to the Lopmon, "I trust that you know that I am a you-know-what? Why don't we speak in a less crowded area, if you wish to do so. Is that not why you called upon me?"

Finally gathering the attention of his intended target, Lopmon's head popped off from amidst the branches of the tree, looking neutrally to the disguised bird monster. "I do indeed know that you're a Digimon." Its voice was but a whisper, low enough so that only Hawkeye could pay heed to them, voice carrying an excessive amount of formality despite what the adorable disposition displayed by his form would lead one to believe. "We can do that, yes. There should be an alley nearby that we can reach without being seen."
Lopmon took his time looking around and pointed to an alleyway, until something dawned on him. "I will need you to carry me there, however." the bunny instructed. "I could easily pass for a toy, so you wouldn't beget any suspicion."

Hawkeye crossed his arms as he listened to what this Digimon, a Lopmon, had to say. He indeed knew that Hawkeye was a Digimon in disguise, and he agreed to Hawkeye's terms of moving to a different, less crowded area to speak in. The Lopmon even suggested a certain area to do so in.
Hawkeye was about to agree to these terms, until the Lopmon then added another detail: Hawkeye had to carry him, so that Lopmon would pass off as a toy. That is what made Hawkeye pause for a bit. "I've never held a Digimon before, I'm afraid, especially in this holosuit. I am still getting used to it."
After thinking about it for a bit more, Hawkeye decided that this would be the only way that Lopmon could be snuck out of here. He took a deep breath and walked forward a bit. "I'll accept your request. There's no one looking, jump into my arms quick."
If Lopmon chose to do so, Hawkeye would walk to the alley that was spoken of with him. Thankfully the other humans didn't seem to notice or care that a thirteen-year-old boy was holding a supposed stuffed animal. Upon reaching the alleyway, Hawkeye immediately set Lopmon down. He looked around before deactivating his own holosuit, revealing himself to be a Hawkmon wearing a quiver and wielding a bow.
"Alright. What did you wish to speak to me about?"

While the trip was short, the Hawkmon had not noticed one key fact: the bunny-shaped Digimon on his arms had fallen asleep and the cover of the alleyway was more than enough to prompt him to start snoring out loud, with even the sound of cars, people, dogs, and whatnot fully passing by him without so much as an acknowledgement...
That is until they finally reached the alleyway and the bird disguised as a human dropped him to the ground with a far softer sound than one would expect such action to generate.
And the reaction was just as shocking as one would expect, for as soon as the bunny hit the ground it immediately started yelling out "AND I SHALL SMITE THE WICKED AND PLUNGE THEM INTO THE FIERY PIT FOR THIS!"
Then he blinked once...
And twice...
And finally it dawned on him what just happened and, in the most nonchalant way possible, just rubbed his head and dusted himself. "Sorry about that. So, shall we discuss what are you doing on your own in the human world?" he asked, completely unfazed by the fact he just sounded like a crazy religious zealot.

As soon as Hawkeye dropped Lopmon onto the ground, we was not expecting much of anything at all. Little did he know that the little bunny had fallen asleep in his arms, and when he was dropped Lopmon immediately woke up and started yelling about "smiting the wicked." Cut to a confused Hawkeye, who would have a complete anime reaction face right now if they were in an anime.
"Oh dear, what have I gotten myself into..." Hawkeye mumbled to himself. He would then drop his holosuit, revealing himself to be a Hawkmon wearing a quiver full of arrows and a bow on his back. He crossed his wings and asked the Lopmon what he wanted to speak about. Apparently Lopmon wanted to know what Hawkeye was doing on his own in the Digital World.
"Oh, that is very simple. I am looking for a certain human in this world. She ended up in the Digital World by accident, but I assisted her on her way back home. Now I wish to visit her. Do you know a human by the name of 'Kaya Matsui'? I would appreciate your help a great deal if you were able to help."
Although judging by your reaction earlier, I'm beginning to think that you're a few bits loose, Hawkeye thought to himself.

"Hmm... it is a risky endeavor to do so on your own." The Lopmon pondered, ears dragging behind him as he walked around, thinking of what to do. There was no way he'd say it to the poor bird's face, but such labor was on par with finding a needle in a pile of hay: according to what he heard the day he'd sneaked into Mina's classroom in his Chocomon form, there were at least 7 billions of humans on Earth. So who knew WHERE the girl could possibly be?!
But surely the red creature wearing the peculiar choice of weapon (when his own species could defend themselves just fine without it) didn't come here blind, right?
...right?
"So, what leads do you have as to her whereabouts? We can move through the sky to cut corners and expedite the process, but we still need to know what we're looking for and how to reach it."

"Alas, I know that all too well," Hawkeye told the Lopmon, in response to his comment about the Hawkmon's mission being fairly risky. "I've researched this world a fair bit before arriving and there are about seven billion humans currently existing. Thankfully to make it easier on myself Kaya told me where she lived: the Shibuya region in the city of 'Tokyo'. I assume that is where I am now, yes?"
Assuming the Lopmon's answer to Hawkeye's question would be "yes", the Hawkmon would then look up towards the surrounding buildings. "While I know she's in 'Shibuya' specifically, I do not know which sections of this city humans tend to live in. I do not know if she lives in her own house or if she lives in a giant duplex building... what's the name of them... an apartment?"
Hawkeye then rubbed the space between his eyes, he was beginning to get a headache from all this thinking. "Human society is so confusing. This would be much easier if I was just able to sense her like I can sense other Digimon. Do you know anyone who could potentially help us, Lopmon?"

The bunny thought for a while, pondering the many possibilities one could go through to find a human girl in the middle of Tokyo. Well, there WAS away, but it'd require a bit of stealth to get there and was not the rabbit's style of action to violate the laws. However, it was either that or go to every single house to look for her, which is much easier said than done, especially considering that, to the human eye, they were unholy abominations that shouldn't go public.
Then again, this WAS for a good cause... IT would not harm his holy stature to help out a comrade in need, he reasoned.
"Well, I have an idea, but it would require some time and I'd have to let my tamer know."" the bunny was with his hands crossed as he effortlessly jumped into a closed trash tray to get some height. "My idea would be for us to sneak into the many schools of Tokyo and try to suss out the information." he proposed. "If you need somewhere to stay while we do, i think Mikazuki, my tamer, could help you, so just ask away if you require it and i shall do my best to assist you!"

After the Lopmon thought to himself for a while, he explained to the Hawkmon his idea. Basically, the plan would be to sneak into many schools throughout Shibuya to get as much information as possible. Hawkeye raised a brow in response to his. "Do you have a holosuit of your own? How are we going to sneak into a school? It would be pretty tricky, human schools would most likely be doubly guarded."
If Lopmon were able to convince Hawkeye of his plan, then the bird archer would nod and offer his own insight. "Kaya is a fairly young human, so I believe we should start with schools that cater to the younger humans."
Lopmon would then ask if Hawkeye needed a place to stay until he eventually found Kaya. Hawkeye gave the Lopmon a slight smile. "I appreciate the offer, but I do not wish to intrude on you or your Tamer. Just some food and I shall do just fine."

Lopmon's chest puffed in pride as Hawkeye questioned how he'd get into the schools without being noticed. "I've done it before, my good sir! In the cipher jungles, stealth has been the skill that allowed me to survive as an infant. And when you're able to do this..." A bright flash of light later and in Lopmon's place stood a Chocomon, smiling brightly at the bigger bird. "Without any loss in your cognitive faculties, it becomes easier to crawl around."
After the explanation, Lopmon thought for a bit but agreed wordlessly. Perhaps it would be easier to start by the elementary schools, as they were known, and work their way up. If memory served him right, there was one just a flight away.
It was then that the denial of his offer of shelter came. Normally, Lopmon would be more than understanding of such a feeling, but in this case, it wasn't something he COULD allow. "Please reconsider! You wouldn't impose at all-" And then the image of Kaede, Mikazuki's dreaded mother, holding one of those accursed projectiles with an evil smile, flashed through his brain. "NEVER MIND, IT'S BETTER THIS WAY!"

When Hawkeye questioned Lopmon's ability to sneak into schools, the Lopmon had puffed its chest up before claiming to have done it with his exceptional stealth skills. To prove his point, he then devolved into his in-training form Chocomon, saying that now he would be able to crawl around small spaces in the school. Hawkeye just crossed his wings and raised an eyebrow in response.
After he digivolved back into Lopmon, he was pretty surprised by Hawkeye's denial of a shelter. His denial was part not wanting to intrude, and part just not trusting these people. At first Lopmon tried to get Hawkeye to reconsider, before he paused to think a little bit, and then concluded that it would be for the best that he didn't.
That made Hawkeye very suspicious. "Just what do you mean by that, exactly?"
Now, Hawkeye had no problem sleeping outside. Hell, that's what he did back in his village. But he was a Digimon, and like most Digimon he needed food to survive. "I tend to prefer sleeping in nature, but I will require food. I will come down to your residence to acquire some, if that is alright with you. Additionally, I want to know what has you so worked up."

The terrifying vision receded at that, leaving only Lopmon and a very suspicious Hawkeye to continue their little chat, and the bird wasted no time in voicing his concerns and arrangements for food. "It's fine, though we might want to do this away from prying eyes. You can meet me at the roof when you feel like eating. The house is big enough that doing so will not pull prying eyes towards us. And not grab..." The angelic bunny swallowed loudly... "HER Attention."
It was clear he was not going to drop any more information on the matter but still was willing to help out.
"Regardless, perhaps we should stop dilly-dallying and start our crusade!" He announced, jumping towards the rooftops in a stunning show of grace and coordination, even for a rookie.
