Carlos returned the nod to Amy's own words, he himself raising a hand with his index and middle fingers crossed in a borderline "knock on wood" type gesture towards her. As for their situation with Loire? At least she seemed supportive of it, or trusted Carlos enough with the little one. Either or worked for him, really.
One thing was clear: Loire was probably not going to take a no for an answer at this point. She seemed pretty adamant about going and be "the best travelling companion ever." Quite a tall order, but considering her only competition were the twins it was probably something she could accomplish with ease.
It seemed in the end however the choice was solely up to him. Well, even if he hadn't had the small brunette begging him to take her somewhere else (though it certainly helped), the choice was still obvious to him. After all, she probably wouldn't take a no for an answer anymore.
"Well...I think I can make an exception for my niece, I can take a day or two off from my oh so busy schedule. Just this once." He smiled, and turned to the digimon. "What you think, Loire? You feel up to it still?"
That being said, he gave a more reassuring glance at Amelie.
"Don't worry, I'll bring her back just as well. And...we can finish that convo then...if you're still up for that." He also added at the end, as if to reassure the girl he wasn't using this as an excuse to run away and avoid more of those hard hitting questions. Truth be told he would have liked to continue that as soon as possible but...something compelled him to look after his niece sooner rather than later. Whatever the case, it was still up to Amelie to let them go, so as soon as she gave the ok he'd be more than happy to start preparing everything.
