The Virtual Tournament - Round 3 - Worn Heart [4]

While it's nice to look at the tourney, where is the human who responsible for all evolution happened? Perhaps some people are wondering this. Well, to be honest, while the youth have a good kinetic vision, fights between Ultimates are not something that he could see with naked eye. He might be built like a Dragon Ball character, but that doesn't mean he's a super saiyan. He can't see the moves at all, so he... decided to content himself in filling a crossword puzzle while sitting on a crystal platform somewhere far from the battlefield. Of course at times he put down the crosswords puzzle and looked at the battlefield through a telescope. ...Yep, can't see that at all. Thankfully he can hear everything Valt and Mae have to say with the human-Digimon communicator. Otherwise it's going to be odd... He obviously the one who slids Valt to Ulforce Vdramon, but the slide between Imperialdramons are his own doing. Either way... what will his partner do?
Valt's response to Mae's attack was to reach down toward his Digicore. There's no need to roar, there's no need to do something other than to reach the deepest part of his Digicore... and activate a certain code. Valt's digicore pulsated blue. His body coated with thin, blue aura. Mae's attack struck, but not because Valt is too late to dodge. Rather, he forces himself head on into it! The whip lashed on his arm, drawing blood. But Valt's wound closed just as fast. He pushed forward, then aims a punch at the Raguelmon's face!
Valt (Ulforce Vdramon X-Antibody (Ultimate)) Status: Ulforce Activated: 1/3 (Moderate Heal + Veil (Immunity to Negative Status Effect) Adaptability III: 2/5 (ATK +10%, SPD +10%) Combat Passive: Ultima Break (RAM UPGRADE GIGA): Toggleable, imbue a move with "Shield Breaker" property which includes breaking barrier, reflect and cancelling moves for that one move. three turns cooldown between activation
Adaptability III (RAM UPGRADE): This Digimon grows more and more attuned to battle each turn passed. 5% increase to strength and speed per turn, capped at 25%. If this Digimon does not attack for two consecutive turns, snared or silenced, the stack drops by 1.
ULFORCE (RAM UPGRADE): When this Digimon's health drops below 25% after an attack by opposing digimon, this Digimon's healing factor activated automatically and restore its health (moderately) and stamina (healing all active cooldown of this form by 2 turns), allowing it to fight for longer. Once per battle, and only one second wind can be triggered per battle.
Heroic Constitution EX: Toggleable. Upon hit by a direct targeting debuff (stats down, DoT, silence, snares, etc that directly applied upon hit rather than field effect) , this Digimon can choose to ignore it. 3 turns cooldown per activation.
Action: Uses Ulforce Activated: Valt activates Ulforce, healing himself moderately for three turns while granting immunity to negative status effect for the duration. Three turns cooldown Combo it with a punch aimed to Mae's face! Cooldowns: Megaton Suplex: 0/4 Forma Change (Linked): 2/3

So, forcing oneself into the range of the Kikurin probably might not be the wisest move in the world without any sort of healing factor to mitigate the ludicrous damage that the blade-like projection of light was capable of to unprepared targets. To Valt's own credit, however? He did possess something that enabled him to work through taking such an attack head on. Good job, Valt. Nonetheless, a basic punch(?) was still a basic attack at it's core, even if it was empowered to an extent. The Raguelmon grit her teeth and took the punch like a champ! Which was probably something that sounds disgustingly weak in this context considering the levels both combatants were dueling at. But, contact was made. How would the beast respond? She clenched her fist and threw a punch of her own. Except, hers was a proper named attack. Form Taranis. The go-to method any self-respecting furry that might or might not be stacked Raguelmon would use to hunt prey. The fist sailed RIGHT for Valt's mid-section, too!
Relevant Passives: Fatebreaker [RAM Upgrade Giga]: This entity has the same mysterious foresight that a Rasielmon would possess. As such, Mae has the ability to divine a potentially infinite number of futures, depending on the level she's at. There are, however, limits to her foresight. For one, the lower the level, the more muddied, limited, and opaque the visions will be. The higher, the clearer. Furthermore, in combat, this is only really applicable as a way to warn herself and others of various attacks. Whether she can dodge them or not even with this is entirely on her. Should she successfully dodge an attack she had a vision of, the chances she can dodge the next one are lower. Basically she can’t spam this unless she wants the hurt.
Love Machine: Raguelmon, though angelic in nature, is a poisonous beast that blights ANYTHING she touches. All of her attacks have a corruptive property to them that can be amplified to double their damage every three turns.
Fate’s Executor: Raguelmon’s senses are heightened in this form, allowing for quicker reaction times and overall improved agility in combat.
Mae takes that punch like a goddamn champ, and gives Valt one of her own, aimed right for his center. The attack here's Form Taranis. Form Taranis: Raguelmon’s main mode of attack, the angel rushes for it’s foe before it attempts to strike with its claws, spikes, or hands. This attack is delivered with extreme prejudice. One post cooldown. Not a lot of rushing, though... Cooldowns: Divine Punishment: 3/3 Kikurin: 1/2 Form Taranis: 0/1

"Guhoh!" the punch hit its target, and Valt, even with technique imparted to him by Ryouta to harden his muscles in response to attack still feels it. But it quickly got fixed obviously. What left is to counterattack! Valt did not falter. In fact, he would quickly attempt a grapple at Mae, which he quickly follows up by focusing his energy on the V protrusion spread on his chest, the golden V-shaped interface. "Dodge this if you can," Valt challenged. The V shines bright, which actually just a moment. A laser on shape of V quickly shoots out, intent on searing everything down its path. Here's hoping that it will connect, even though he's doubtful. Reason? It's because she slid to this form, which if he think about it could possibly yield to one ability present in another form... yes, that annoying ability where she could read the future where this attack happened. Still, not that he care. The fight has been quite fun.

A vision quickly presented itself to the Raguelmon that showed a grapple, a taunt, and a laser. Was...Was that a serious challenge? Telling someone who could predict the future to dodge something? What was even the point of that? No, Mae was going to ensure that Valt -wasted- that attack thanks to that challenge. As the UlforceVeedramon X reached forward, Mae took a couple of steps back, trying to bat the big meaty dragon arms away from her. That left the Shining V-Force to deal with. As Mae was not restrained, she had ample room to dodge this, which she performed by taking a rather large leap to the right, away from the laser! ... Better hope it didn't reflect off of anything, that would be genuinely terrible for either party in this. Regardless, the Raguelmon ripped open a tear in space in front of her, before she fell forward through it. A second passed. Two, maybe three, before a few inches above Valt, an exit portal opened that spat the Raguelmon out like an incompetent member in a mission or team. The Raguelmon then began to glow, briefly, before a calamitous explosion just erupted from around her, one that threatened to engulf the UlforceVeedramon X and scorch the land around them a pitch black!
Fate’s Executor: Raguelmon’s senses are heightened in this form, allowing for quicker reaction times and overall improved agility in combat.
So, using Fatebreaker, Mae gets away from the grapple and promptly leaps away from Shining V-Force, narrowly avoiding getting crisped. She then uses a combo of Dimension Jumper and Catastrophe Reactor to essentially make a big ol' kaboom above Valt. Catastrophe Reactor: A combination of TWO attacks that generally do not belong to a Raguelmon, Raguelmon gathers energy from the atmosphere around her before she detonates it around her. This attack emanates enough power that the area around Mae is scorched black. Three turn cooldown. Dimension Jumper: Raguelmon, much like Rasielmon, can open portals, though hers are for more...offensive purposes than attack redirection. She’s able to use these portals to fire her attacks from another angle or to reposition herself so that she’s attacking the foe from a different point than originally thought, at the cost of increasing that attack’s cooldown as well as this move’s cooldown by one. Three turn cooldown, normally. Cooldowns: Kikurin: 2/2 Form Taranis: 1/1 Fatebreaker: 0/3 Dimension Jumper: 0/4 Catastrophe Reactor: 0/4

As expected, dodged? But this is not quite an evidence that she have the same move as Raguelmon. Might be just a quick reaction separate from it. But it was enough for Valt. He'll rack his brain further to grasp a feel at his opponent's level of ability. The attack that he shot however wasn't pinged back, perhaps due to how they're still in the crater caused by his earlier suplex... but Valt's eyes was still on that attack. After all, it's dangerous if it get pinged. ...And this was honestly a mistake. When he looked split second at Mae later, he only saw part of wings retreating inside the portal. FUCK Which part was targeted? His back? His side? Underneath him? Valt's eyes darted around, but... that's when he felt the building up data above him. Crap. The dragon repositioned himself so that he's facing the explosion directly. He immediately spreads a thin veil-like structure... one might think it's a shield... "GAAAAAAAAAAHHH--!!" Only to be proven otherwise when the pained scream escaped his mouth. But is it truly is? The battlefield might be scorched, and the crystals might have shattered or outright melted... and the dust from the explosion settling, but as if defying against many odds, Valt came out from the smoke, body all scorched, but healing, perhaps rapidly. The Ulforce Vdramon X rapidly approaches Mae and with a shining hand... aimed a God Finger Counterforce at Mae! Having absorbed all that explosion prior, Valt might be scorched, but he's planning to return everything in spades! Not willing for his attack to be pushed back, he also added Ultima Break for good measure!

Action: Took another of Mae's attack! (F for Valt please) Uses counterforce! Counterforce: If Valt is stunned, this move is autotriggered and does not count toward the named move usage that turn. Valt takes damage, and convert said damage into addition to this attack, where he struck an enemy with a palm strike. From the point of impact, he unleashes a laser blast. If this move is autotriggered, Valt does not take damage. Three turns cooldown. (This move isn't autotriggered) As a good measure, he adds Ultima Break, making it unblockable, unable to defended with shield and reflected! There were a number of mistakes being potentially made right this second, in truth. Mae may have just gotten the jump on Valt, and wounded him SEVERELY, but he still possessed the ability to make her life completely miserable at close range, if this form had any characteristics that were considered to be uniform with the Imperialdramon form. Lo and behold, that turned out to be exactly the case, as the moment that Mae had landed, within the smoke, she was faced with an UlforceVeedramon X that was actually outright PISSED. One would expect the Raguelmon to try to avoid that, but...She did not. She took the force of that attack in full, and as cracks and burns formed upon wherever it was that Valt struck... The cat could only grin like she was a clown in a society. A hand pointed right below Valt, as a colossal, black blade SHOT up right through the crater they were in, threatening to skewer Valt upon it as it tore the ground up from beneath him! To make matters much worse, the blade had crystalline properties in line with Raguelmon's own claws. Which meant it'd hurt all the more worse if it had actually connected.

Mae takes that hit. Mae takes that hit in full, and suffers a serious amount of damage. But, Mae counters by aiming Brave Blader directly beneath Valt in an attempt to hit him with an empowered iteration of the attack, considering she's seriously wounded. And to add onto that? She activates Love Machine to double the damage it deals. [Loaded Move] Brave Blader: Raguelmon points at an area, a giant blade imbued with the power of darkness erupting from the ground to cleave at anyone unfortunate enough to be in its path. Deals additional damage as Raguelmon is injured. (Cooldown: 2 Turns) Cooldowns: Fatebreaker: 1/3 Dimension Jumper: 1/4 Catastrophe Reactor: 1/4 Brave Blader: 0/2 Love Machine: 0/3

Well played that's all Valt can thought when his eyes saw the sword going up to him. Even with his increased speed, the proximity of him and the ground was too short. The attack came up, and even if he tried to flap his wings, he won't likely to dodge this or even moved out of the way, and will only get skewered with lessened force... that is assuming that he won't get attacked anyway. Reflexively, he slapped the air as if it was solid and rolled to the side. It won't be enough, considering how it skewered his side rather than his centre, but goddamn, it hurted a lot! Valt let out a voiceless scream as his pain receptor overloaded with pain... but even this, he believed that he's less damaged than Mae is at the moment. Sure that he took a lot of damage, but surely some of it has mitigated thanks to his healing ability. ...Regardless, it's not saying that he's in good state. White liquid seeped out from the affected area. It was close, but it missed his Digicore container by few centimeters. It's too close for comfort. He rubbed on the liquid, watching as red particles, square in shape bubbled from it "............Well, looks like time to bring this to end, huh..." Valt raised his arm. One might think that it's a strange move to do, especially when his side was wounded.... (thank goodness for no bleeding damage though. The bleeding has stopped, but the pain is obviously still there). Regardless, he hold that position... and slowly, blue light surrounded his body. Without a doubt, that's a chargeable move.

Mae wrenched herself free and away from Valt as the blade went up and did it's duty...Kinda? It didn't matter if she had only managed to partially strike the dragon, damage was damage, and she had just inflicted quite a nasty bit of it. Of course, in the eyes of the Raguelmon, it seemed as though Valt had made another mistake against her, he made a clear indicator of what he was going to do via raising his arm. That was a pretty hefty move. Would be a shame if she tried slicing the arm clean off, right? Well, that's what the Raguelmon was going to do, she sprang towards the UlforceVeedramon X and swung her arm, the same whip of light she had used earlier surging out towards the dragon. What was her target, specifically? The arm he had raised up, of course! "Time to end this indeed!"

Mae opts to keep the damage up by attacking Valt with Kikurin! Is she trying to slice an arm off? Maybe. Probably. Definitely. Seriously, charging something looks bad in her eyes! Mae might have a good idea to slice the arm that's pointing above, but there are two faults in this theory. First, the damage that Mae dealt. It might be lower than the damage he dealt to her somehow, but there are also difference in effectiveness of the attack. Being sliced in the stomach definitely far worse than impacts that he dealt to her. Then again, her bones probably in danger at the moment. But either way, there is an ability in him that gets triggered whenever he's losing too much health. This is one of those moment. The moment his arm got sliced, something inside Valt triggered and reattached the supposedly severed arm back to its position. The pain registered, but it felt like something ghostlike passed through his arm. Yes, this one was on Mae's error. Valt brought the arm down. Two of his sabers glows brightly. Something akin to trail of light released from both blade. Still, Mae's attack definitely left a residue. Valt doesn't looks like he's still in his optimum state. ...Which brings mistake two. Even with the Ulforce not triggering, Valt is still very well ambidextrous. Holding his still good arm, Valt took stance like one that's about to stab an opponent. The moment he does, he tucked his wings close to him as an attempt to increase the velocity. The jetpack behind him roared loudly. Using all the energy behind him, Valt flew forward, blade ready. Needless to say it's once per thread move, which means it's not going to be able to be dodged easily. "UOOOOOOH!!"Upon close proximity to the Raguelmon, Valt overloaded one of his beam saber, extending its length farther than ever to stab at Mae!

Heroic Constitution EX: Toggleable. Upon hit by a direct targeting debuff (stats down, DoT, silence, snares, etc that directly applied upon hit rather than field effect) , this Digimon can choose to ignore it. 3 turns cooldown per activation.
Action: Valt took Mae's attack, but his ULFORCE kicked in and healed him Valt's charge turned out to be... his OPT! Force Restart: Once per thread move. Valt concentrates his power on his saber. Before its activation, Valt must charge for one turn. Once he ready, he launched himself at the opponent, blade ready. The moment he got close enough, extend the blade, overloading it, thus making it longer and bigger than usual. This move seals two of the opponent's passive for three turns, or forces two actives to enter cooldown for three turns if they have no passive or their passive unable to be sealed. Massive damage. Just what was it that the dragon had been preparing? What was it that didn't budge even if she sliced through it? While her foresight hadn't exactly come off cooldown properly, it didn't take a detective to realize that whatever that was, it was big and about to be let loose like a starving hyena denied their pork chops or whatever other simile one could actually feasibly apply here. It didn't even need to be a once-per-thread move to be dodged easily, really. Simply rocketing forward like that was enough to show that one meant business. The Raguelmon was only able to move out of the way just a bit before the saber pierced her. Better not tell Hasenya about that. But, one could wonder. Was that part of her plan? ...Maybe. She wasn't that much of a planner, but she did have ideas. And a stinger. Despite two vital parts of this form being locked out, she did have something to mitigate the massive amounts of damage that she just suffered. Her vision was blurring, her form was destabilizing, but the cat launched her stinger forward to try piercing at Valt's hide to try sustaining herself just a bit more. "Not...done...yet..." She hissed.

A stinger. Valt had no idea how that future sight ability worked, but there's one thing for sure. If he let her go at this moment, she'll probably turn the tide easy. Now that he have used his move and seal two of her passive that means the future sight is locked, right? But thing is even Valt had no idea whether he hit the right passive or not. And he guessed if it's not last turn that she used it, it'll be this one.Taking the hit, Valt coughed up some blood. However, with this being this close, he can grab the tail. He obviously attempted that, and followed the attack with one of the most reckless one that he can muster. Usually he would scold Ophelia when she chose this approach, but in this case, he guess he's not in position to scold anyone right now. He's a hugeass hypocrite. Valt is currently aiming for double KO, and how will he do it? Zap of lightning rose from his body. With them connected like this, without doubt the attack will struck them both, but who cares. Let him meme for the last time "SHAZAM!!" With that name declared, blast of lightning resounded. Three blasts of lightning aimed to strike on Mae, but at the same time if she's struck, then so would Valt. How would the conclusion be on Mae's side? In Valt's side, if the attack hits, the Ulforce Vdramon would just crash toward the ground, all battered up. His body are charred, and to preserve his own life, he was forced to revert to Vmon.

Valt got knocked out if this attack hits: Voltic Explosion Valt aims at three enemies at max (the lesser the target, the more the damage). He then summons lighting bolt to strike at the opponent. if the opponent dodge this move, this move can chase them for the second time, but this time by exploding from underneath their feet, and is 50% stronger. There were a good number of factors that worked for and against each combatant, as one had the power to divine infinity and the other had a sheer number of admittedly well thought out tools with which to counteract those of the former. The final one that Mae admittedly did not see coming was an electrical explosion that could probably black out a neighborhood if Valt so pleased. Actually, no. That wasn't what you compare a lightning to, no. You compare it to the likes of Shazam. Yes. Mae made an attempt to grasp at Valt's arm and wrench it away from her tail, by force. But, it was all too late. The bolt struck, and as the smoke cleared, a Keramon plummeted towards the ground along with the Veemon. The fight was, in every simple term there was, concluded. Thank god.
Is this it, is this where the fight ends? Probably. Valt's attack strikes true and knocks Mae out with him. It's a double KO, woooo. Cooldowns: Dimension Jumper: 4/4 Catastrophe Reactor: 4/4 Brave Blader: 2/2 Love Machine: 3/3 Kikurin: 2/2 Lead Stinger: 1/2 Seal Duration: 1/3 - Sealed passives denoted by being struck through.
