Yayogi Library (Closed/Reoccurring)

Meanwhile, in the library’s basement…
A foreboding figure framed in darkness stood in front of a number of glowing screens, displaying live feeds of all the wacky occurrences taking place in the upper floor. Two screens in particular drew their interest; One showed a woman pushing a shopping cart with a suspiciously bumpy cover, while another played back footage of a yellow blur dashing into a bookshelf to hide. “Interesting… Other Digimon have Realized into this world, and those humans must be their caretakers.”
“You won’t get away with this! My sister-in-law’s cousin is a prosecutor, I’ll have you know!” Yelled the Yayogi library’s owner, who was currently tied to a chair and unable to do much of anything. “How dare you speak before my divine presence without permission!” The figure turned back to them with the dramatic flip of their cape, dozens of glowing red eyes riddling their shadowy form, and staring right at the restrained, middle-aged Asian man. With a swipe of their arm, the ropes were sliced apart, freeing the man. “P-p-please don’t kill me!” The library owner pleaded, getting on his knees. “It’s time to get what you deserve…” The shadowy figure menacingly stated, reaching into their cape and pulling out… a ticket. “A one-way trip to the Bahamas, all expenses paid. Surely that would be a better use of your time than running a library in your old age.” The figure tempted him, speaking in an affable tone, while waving their clawed hand in front of his face. The man’s eyes went dull, as if he was put under a spell. “You’re right… I don’t want to run this library anymore… I want to go to the Bahamas.”
There was a slight disturbance in the air… The humans could barely notice it, and even the hiding Digimon wouldn’t be able to sense much, other than perhaps something being inexplicably ‘off’. If only they weren’t stuck in In-Training stage and had better tracking senses, but alas.
Regardless, something was watching them, and when that something accidentally bumped into a bookcase, the static-filled form of what looked like a floating metal orb flickered into existence for a mere second, before reactivating its cloaking mechanism and turning invisible to the naked eye once again.

...Cats? Really? There were cats in the library? Strange as that may have been, or sounded, that was something that had genuinely piqued Hisato's curiosity. "I was...not aware that cats frequented here, actually. Can you pet them?" Silly as it sounded, Hisato did genuinely hold a soft spot for felines.
Something that might prove ironic when one considered who this kid's partner digimon was. When it came to the subject of books, which was understandable to linger on, Hisato shook his head. "I don't really have a preference, but I do like the older kinds, if that helps any." It probably didn't.
Meanwhile, down below...An azure-colored bug was making his way through the ventilation system. Why was he there? Well, people need places to sleep sometimes. And he'd rather not be easy pickings for other Digimon and/or enterprising human parties. "This was a mistake." Scarab grumbled to himself. One he had to be sure not to repeat in the future. The fact he even spoke might have been a bit of a show of incompetence, as it might alert parties in the basement to something that was there.
...Then again, his voice mayyyy have been muffled.

John found that description a little interesting, although he might have been overthinking it, since it could have just been a really big spider, and have nothing to do with digimon. He decided to leave the topic alone, and introduce himself. " My name's John, nice to meet you Adam." He said as he held out his hand to shake, afterwards he reaches down into his book bag for his sandwich half, while still looking at Adam. " So why are you here at the library, if you don't mind me asking... Wait huh?" John was confused as to why the sandwich felt different then usual, "Hold on a moment, please." He said, as he puled out his food and saw the note Runa left him, after reading it he sighed. "Great, gonna have to find her to make sure she isn't in a bind, well I needed a break from this aimless search anyway." He thought, as he pocketed the note and turned to Adam. "Hey, I uh... lost something, I think it might be around here. I gotta go, good luck with your thing!" He said, grabbed his things and started to walk around the library, trying to find his partner.
Meanwhile, Runa was carefully following this cart that held some cat, apparently? That seamed a little odd to her, so she tried to find a point where she would be able too get in there when the human wasn't tending to it. When she sprinted to a bookshelf across from the first one, she soon heard some random humans heading her way. "Crap, this isn't good, gotta find another hiding place." She thought, as she looked around for a spot. All the other bookshelves where too tightly packed for her to hide in, when she was about to resort to her plushy tactic, she saw a vent entrance she could go to, a ventrance if you will. Not wanting to get found pretending to be a stuffed animal, and then getting a lecture form John, she quickly made it to the vent. Unfortunately she accidentally knocked over a few books from her hiding spot, to which she silently cursed. In the vents, expecting just some muffled noises, she heard a voice coming form somewhere, not wanting to alert it to her presence, she slowly headed to it's location, shifting her ears to discern where it came from. " Okay if this is a digimon, it's probably anything from rookie or lower, maaaybe champion if it's small enough? Whatever the case, if it's hostile, I'll have a good chance of holding it off. I'll probably have an advantage in here with my swiftness, but I can't underestimate whoever this is." She logicked out in her head, getting ready for if this encounter turns into a fight.

Adam shook the boy's hand, and was about to respond to him when the boy just took off to find his lost posession. Adam watched him go for a moment or two, then shrugged and got back to his research. This wouldn't take too much longer, as he jotted down a few more lines into his notebook. Once that was done, he stood and packed his things. Now that he could focus on something besides mechanisms like a certain ascot wearing member of a mystery solving crew, maybe he could get some studying done for his exam! But all his reference books were at home, so he'd need to go there first. He grinned as he made his way out of the library. Tomorrow was the day. Something good was going to happen, he just knew it.
In his pocket, the Digivice chimed softly, a small countdown starting within the device. It was almost time.

Katherine smiled softly at Hisato and shrugged. "I'm not sure which one this is but absolutely you can try to. One of them is very grumpy. Oh, older books? We do have some downstairs in the scan room. Maybe I can show you what we have in stock?"
The Librarian continued to push the cart towards the front entrance. She said a bubbly goodbye to the patron, giving a slightly European bow before softly kicking the cart softly near a vent to indicate the Algernon needed to slip into open hole so that she could avoid the patron having to pet a weird claw-shaped creature.

Long after the head librarian had left the basement, the mysterious, caped figure heard a muffled sound coming from the ventilation system. Two muffled sounds, in fact. “Hmmm, I sense some insignificant insects trying to disrupt my brilliant masterplan. I might be able to use this to my advantage, though…” They mused to themselves, waving their clawed hand to will two floating metal orbs into existence, which flew into the air ducts.
The first of those strange contraptions eventually found the blue Wormmon, getting face to face with it when he had dropped his guard. Viximon would also come face to face with the second sentry. They didn’t attack them, but rather stood in front of them, singular red eyes glowing in the darkness, just… staring at them creepily.
As Katherine was pushing her suspicious cart, she would both hear and see the Yayogi library’s owner - her boss - running towards the exit, moving in quite the spritely manner for his old age. “Haha, yes! I’m going to the Bahamas! No more wasting my best years in this stupid library! No more telling ungrateful teenagers to keep quiet! Woohoo! So long, suckers!” What was he even talking about? Was he having the most obnoxious mid-life crisis in history? He seemed to not even notice his own employee as he made his way towards the exit.

If there was anything redeeming about this infernal spaghetti spilling of the figurative variety, it was that at least the librarian was a friendly one. ...Scan room, though? It...probably made sense that the library had one. "Yeah, sure." He nodded towards Katherine. The cat (that wasn't actually a cat in the slightest) was spared for the moment. He wasn't sure if he had to follow the librarian, though...
He did bear witness to the boss acting like he just won the lottery. "...What's his deal?" He had the audacity to ask that aloud. Meanwhile, in the vents below? Scarab found himself face to face with an orb. "...Oh. Hi. Mind letting me out of here? I kind of don't really plan on staying here for very long, and I kind of have to hustle. That's assuming your owner can hear me through you." He hazarded that guess.

John walked around the library floor he was on a bit, he looked in bookshelves, under tables, up to the shelve, but couldn't find his partner. He was about to check the lost and found, to see if she was turned in and was pretending to be a toy, when he heard some kind of commotion. He saw someone's boss walking out, talking about retiring. He seemed like he was acting stranger then normal, at least John assumed so. He never really met this person, so this could just be the guy's personality. John then remembers Runa's note, and wonders if this is connected in some way to the manager's behavior. " There might be some digimon that's here, if so I gotta try and find it before it causes some havoc." He thinks as he looks around, and spots some librarian next to some cart. He walks up to her and waves to get her attention. " Excuse me, I was wondering if there is anything in an basement or attic here available? I'd be fine with just looking and not checking something out, but I'm wanting to see if I can find anything unusual." This wasn't technically a lie, but he wasn't talking about books. "I just hope that this is nothing, maybe I could find a cool book if things turn out fine?" he thinks.
Runa stops dead in her tracks the moment she hears something approach, staying perfectly still like a stuffed doll. When she sees the eye, she doesn't flinch, her eyes stay unblinking to enhance the effect. "This is not what I expected to find, what kind of Digimon made this? Then again, maybe this is some advanced security system some human came up with?" She thought in her head, keeping her breathing at a slow, mechanical like pace, to most people, she really would look like a high quality doll.
She heard the other digimon talking to something else, possibly another eye? She hoped that this thing wasn't hostel, otherwise this could get dangerous.
