"I see, you don't know what happened in the past... I guess they really pick out someone who doesn't have attachment to old DATS or know what's up... Whether it's intentional or not, I have no idea... or whether the government read reports, or if there are lacks of thereof too nobody knows either?" Yuuki asked, looking pensive. He glanced at Hikaru who caught the meaning of his glance. In this room, there's just him and Valt who knows about the story behind DATS.
"...Valt, come down here a bit. Help me supplement something," he eventually spoke out.
Valt and Ryouta quickly joined the fray soon after. "Good evening," was all Ryouta said, but Valt on the other hand seem to know what is there to talk. "So, we're going to talk about Old DATS, yes?"
"Something like that," Hikaru nodded.
"Right so... I have to first tell you all that my information mostly are second hand, it's not a first hand account on encounter with such person.. But I think you ever encountered one of those right? DATS member..."
"We do not talk about the idiot that caused Kyo's death and near death of three other victims including me for his "heroics"," Hikaru parried sharply. "If that idiot was in rank of old DATS, or much more the leader... then we're fucking doomed. Either way... tell us."
"Right, so... As far as I know, the existence of 'DATS' are something like a feared police in Real World. It felt like if you do anything wrong even just a few, there will be MiB coming down to your house, knock your door and take you to their base. This is the general feeling of people back then. Granted, it's been about... three or so years from there? I don't really keep tabs of time. But what I know is that people purposely avoids them for some reason.
Granted, you can say that Digimons are like illegal trespasser, but for some reason back in the past DATS are so keen to expand their ranks. I think a friend was about to join, but decided against."
"That's about it that I know too... Have you been in contact with any of DATS members back then?" Hikaru asked
"Hell no. I'm jittery and you know that. But then... If I recall correctly, DATS have side team that act as a spy in Digital World. Perhaps that's what it is that caused the Digimons to be very wary about them? They're called... something of tomorrow, I forgot. What happened prior was not within my knowledge, mainly because destruction of Entertainment District was prior then. Also... There are someone who said they hacked into DATS... Credibility though? Absolutely laughable. I feel they're just saying that to boast at empty air," Valt answered.
Hikaru nodded, then returned his attention to the four agents in front of him.
"That's all that we know, agents. Either someone using old DATS name to commit atrocities, or DATS really did it, we're not clear, but what's clear is the feeling of the people there. Anyway, uh, let's return to the main topic. Do you think it's plausible that... there are play by anyone inside DATS regarding the Golden Week incident? I mean the appearance of the hostile Digimon specificly. Granted, the words can be spread on the streets, but... I kind of want to know if there are anyone in DATS that's completely against Digimon existing so to say."
"That's very heavy question," Yuuki commented.
"I understand that's heavy, but if the Agents aren't our enemies, that means our enemies lies elsewhere. KIZNA prefers status quo between real world and Digital World, keeping secrecy maintained and only select people knows to prevent abuse toward any other side. But if radicals were to appear within DATS, imagine just how far would the two world's relationship deteriorate to. We want human to be welcome in Digital World as a good force, so we have to understand who we need to watch out for."
"That's true."
That aside...
"Yes, upon our name as KIZNA, we vow that we'll look for your missing relative and provide care for them until they return safely on your side," Yuuki nodded. "That much we can provide and promise, just like many other missng chosens."
...though, he also flinched when he saw Machine did... something that's... very masculine. Sock for scent? Er, he have no idea what to think about that.
"If there are anything that KIZNA is proud of it's our number of members," Yuuki would say. "We're relatively young compared to other organizations, but I feel we have took roots to such degree that we may boast that we're indeed huge players in the wide Digital World. Ironic, that we previously only meant to be gathering of adventurers, but we have become a major driving force. Either way, we'll definitely stay in contact. Is there anything that you would like to address or question to us, either as agents, or as individual?"

The notion of Mae being able to see the future got the duo's attention visibly; both of them visibly curious. "How does your future-visiony stuff work?" Ophelia would question; tilting her head to one side, like a curious or thoughtful puppy. "The Rasielmon we know from the Demon Lord fuckery kinda sees the future in branches, from what I understand... Do you see it the same way? Or is it different for you?" Different Rasielmons seeing the future in different ways would certainly be pretty damn interesting!
Cassie, though, would grin; adding in a cheery chirp "Either way, though... We're happy to see you're here, now, Mae!"
As far as the talk of DATS and the Digital World went, though... Neither of them really had any huge opinions on it, beyond understanding why it was best to keep any meeting areas in middle grounds like this place. They were wild digimon; and thus, in growing up, they were distant from the worries and concerns of more civilized digimon; including the drama of the old DATS of the past. All they understood, was that the old DATS was far more harmful than the current DATS; and that many digimon still had some hard feelings over it, to this day; which was enough for them, they felt.
Still, even with only knowing so much, Ophelia could still promise something to them. "Fuck yeah," She'd state, in response to Machine's question, regarding taking care of their relatives. "I'll protect them with everything I got; I can promise that much!" Ophelia would slam her forearm and fist against her own chest in a boisterous, determined gesture; an audible 'bang' coming from where her gauntlet met her breastplate, as she nodded to the two agents.
Cassie, on the other hand, would be briefly flustered; having finally noticed Valt coming in. Oh, jeez; he didn't hear her and Ophelia talking about him, did he? She'd try her best to maintain composure; but any keen-eyed individuals would notice a flush faintly visible, under her thin layer of fur.
As far as Laertes went, Cassie would be able to gather up enough composure to speak up next. "I'm sure it'll be fine," She'd reassure Tiger regarding getting Laertes to open up. "He's probably just nervous, honestly; the rest of the Digital World's going to be big and new to him! It'll probably be easier for us to ask him to look around the Shining Sea, than old Terminus, though." The Shining Sea, at least, wouldn't be too far from home; and it'd still be familiar-ish grounds to him. Terminus was a bit further out, and Old Terminus was someplace that neither Ophelia nor Cassie knew much about; so convincing him to head out that way would probably be far more difficult..
Ophelia would accept Tiger's glove as it was passed over, though; putting it into their Infini-Store, for the time being. Machine's sock, as well, they'd accept; albeit Ophelia did make a brief face at the smell. Neither of them seemed to question it though, until Tiger did; Ophelia glancing at Tiger and Machine with a brief, puzzled "Hm?" Neither of them seemed to see the problem in accepting the sock; as long as it had a proper scent, no problem, right?

This meeting so far had taken quite a turn for the interesting, and in a short amount of time too, to boot. For one, it turned out the holosuited woman turned out to be Mae (aka the same Keramon that helped them out during the whole kerfuffle with the uppity Puwamon) actually had the ability to see the future, which she casually mentioned like it was normal, and on request from Ophelia to take the agents' scents (a crazy request when taken out of context), Machine took off a very smelly sock, enough to make Kenny and Skadi flinch and gag a little. Thankfully, Ophelia had the right mind to put it away as soon as possible, lest everybody die a literally revolting death by mistake.
Other than that, though? If at the very least, Skadi listened to Tiger lightly scold her, forming a blush across her face, uttering an embarrassed but sincere "Sorry." as she went back to snuggling Jiro once more. Kenny couldn't help but chuckle once more as he ruffled his partner's hair again. She was a silly girl, but she was Kenny's silly girl. Likewise, Ophelia's prideful proclamation earnt her an affectionate ruffle and chuckle as well from the young man.
"Yeah, I'm sure you will, Ophelia." He told her with a smile, "I guess I really don't need to tell you guys this, but I'm sure you, Cassie and Skadi's gonna knock it out of the park on that front." Honestly, while Ophelia, to Kenny at least, was quite the uncontrollable, and unpredictable, wild child who probably didn't know the meaning of the word 'stop' even if it punched her in the face, at the end of the day there was no denying that she was a great person with a heart of gold and a will of steel. She and Skadi made a great team, all things considered, on and off the field.
Needless to say, however, Kenny had paid great attention to what Yuuki and co. had to say about what the old DATS did, considering these agents were just as lost as he was on the whole kerfuffle. Apparently, old DATS watched you like a hawk, ready to string you up the moment you stepped out of line, and unlike new DATS, old DATS had spies in the Digital World as well at the time. But there was one thing Kenny had to mention.
"If I can recall correctly, Professor Ninsei did tell me, Skadi and Ophelia that when initially he went to visit the real world to learn, the old DATS just captured and hurt him instead. And he hadn't even done anything wrong. Poor guy sounded upset when he told us that. That's what I know, at least." He added. Sadly, he couldn't really add much more, considering that Prof. Ninsei was basically cuddled into submission before being voluntarily sent back home to Ys with a snack before he could let slip any more, but it was a start.
But the talk about what Toki told Kenny had certainly grabbed the 2 agents' attention, and their positive reactions certainly made Kenny feel a little bit proud of himself, if only for a brief moment. "It's OK, man." He first addressed Machine, "No need to apologise, but thank you anyways. If anything, Toki telling me about Matadrmon started to help us piece together the general motives of why Matadrmon and Archnemon, and their cronies, attacked their respective areas that day."
As for Tiger, "Yeah, I think that would be for the best for you guys to steer clear from the Digital World for your own safety, for now. But, would you be fine exchanging personal Tamernet details with us tonight, just so we can keep in touch with one another?" He held out his D-Nexus to the agents displaying his and Skadi's details on it, "At the very least, we'll be able to keep you updated on the status of your loved ones privately, so there's that."

See, what would strike Mae as odd here would be hiring people who were aware of what the previous iteration of DATS might've been up to. That'd serve as an invitation for trouble. "I don't know that history either, I just know that bad things occurred that led to an already negative reputation for the current iteration of DATS from the get-go. To say nothing of morons on Tamernet." The disguised Meicoomon scoffed.
...That being said, it was hard for Mae to not audibly snicker at Machine's excessive amounts of masculinity via removal of the sock. In order to help with this matter, she finally turned her attention to Ophi. "I see it like that too when I'm willingly looking into the future. It's otherwise...involuntary. I see what's about to happen to or around me. Or to someone." Cassie's comment was not lost on her, however. She offered a smile towards the Gomamon X. "Thank you. I'm glad to see you two are around as well."
Back to the DATS agents, though... "I'm going to echo Tiger, here. It does seem like staying clear of the Digital World for the moment would be the optimal way to go about this for you, the agents. Yet, as Kenny said? Keeping contact up over Tamernet...That's a good way to discretely send information." Her eyes went to Seifer. "You know who I am already, so don't hesitate to reach out if you need to."

Both Agents Tiger and Machine were interested in hearing about what the story was with old DATS. Especially given their actions were so infamous. Seeing that they bore the same name, both thought it would be important they hear the full story that their superiors had failed to tell them. Going from Hikaru's sharp reaction, the story of old DATS didn't seem very good. Still though, Jiro could tell that the Dorumon was hurt by the memories, so in a rare act of kindness in front of others, the Dracomon-X gently shifted forward. "A-are you okay?" he asked, offering his paw to hold if he needed. Agent Tiger blinked at him in surprise, he rarely showed that much emotion in front of others, but the mention of death had probably reminded him of Kazuo. She said nothing to stop him. There was silence as they listened to Ryouta and Valt talk about the old DATS. "Hmm. Makes sense. If the old DATS did indeed disappear without a trace, pretty much anyone could say something like that in the power vacuum." Agent Machine remarked. Hikaru then asked the agents if there was any chance that the events of Golden Week could have been orchestrated by one among them. "Of course." said Machine. Tiger turned to him immediately. "I mean, no offense to any of you present here that was also present in the Entertainment District, but if all three of our groups ended up like yours, DATS would have been made to look rather silly - a defense force nobody asked for or wanted and was on the verge of making it all worse."Agent Tiger turned her head away with both anger and shame, being reminded why she disliked working with Machine so much. "But the other two groups... DATS was able to come out of that as the necessary force. That digimon were dangerous, that Tokyo does need defending against such aggressive monsters. Thankfully the Hachiko Square event didn't go public very widely due to Seifer jamming the signals, but, Miyashita Park... I think more people would agree than disagree that DATS was in the right there. And I think that it was orchestrated somehow. Not by Agent Maria though, I trust her as much as I trust Agent Tiger here.""And how much is that?" Tiger asked, narrowing her eyes shrewdly as she spoke to him. "Very much." Machine answered back, evenly. "I may not like you very much, but I do trust you. Otherwise I wouldn't have agreed to be here with you."Agent Tiger exhaled deeply from her nose, letting off that tension that had built up in the past few seconds. She should keep her cool here, Machine wanted the same thing she wanted, to find their family again. "There stands the million yen question..." Seifer spoke next. "If not Maria, Machine or Tiger, then who? A rat in the bilge? Or a king rat on the bridge?"Tiger, Machine and Jiro felt unable to answer this. But each of them had suspicions. However, without evidence, they weren't willing to divulge. Not even to KIZNA. They couldn't send their valuable friends on wild Kokatrimon chases without evidence. Tiger then gave a smile to Cassie. She enjoyed talking to her way more than having to address the current conspiracy. "I understand. I'll be grateful for anything he can provide." She stopped short of offering to meet him herself, knowing her standing orders not to enter the digital world under any circumstance. Machine meanwhile simply folded his arms and shrugged at the reaction to him presenting his sock as a means of tracking his sister via scent. He knew digimon, some of them had very good noses indeed. Jiro still appreciated Skadi's gesture though, and rather hoped that they would be able to work together again. She was a good digimon, someone he knew that Kazuo would approve of. Kenny then mentioned Professor Ninsei. It took a moment for her to remember, then the memory came back to agent Tiger. "Ah, the Nise Agumon Hakase?" she asked. "Yes... that's understandable that they would react that way if they thought that we'd do the same to them as this... "old DATS"."This reputation would likely cause trouble for them in future. That their previous incarnation had been so monstrous that digimon were willing to fight them and hurt humans because of their history, this was something that needed to be dealt with swiftly. It seemed that all agreed that it would be best for the current DATS to keep out of the digital world, but they could keep up with developments on Tamernet. "Of course." Seifer replied to Mae, smiling beneath his hood as he remembered his interactions with her. "Also, don't hesitate to request to speak with us privately. As we have revealed here tonight, we each have confidential issues that we had best keep among ourselves, and we respect that." he turned to Tiger and Jiro. "Would you agree?""We would." Tiger replied, coolly. With that, she turned to the others in the carriage. "So then. While we're still here, do you have any questions of us? I'm afraid we will have to keep any classified information to ourselves, but, anything we can tell you without breaking our oaths of duty, we'd be happy to share."Agent Machine gave a nod to indicate he agreed.

So Mae's future vision was both similar, and different...? Ophelia and Cassie would both regard this curiously; the both of them pondering it over, briefly... Though Mae's thanks would prompt a wide smile and a giggle from Cassie, the little Gomamon-X nodding with a happy "Mhmm..!" as she briefly waved a flipper at Mae; chipper and friendly as always. "Maybe after we're done talking to DATS here, you can come over to Ys with us, and we can hang out?" She'd suggest; her smile turning to a bright grin as she did.
This would prompt a chuckle from Ophelia, who would reach over to ruffle the fur atop Cassie's head. "Hell yeah! I'd be down for it, if you are, Mae." She'd add with a nod of her own in the holosuit'd Keramon's direction. "No harm in more friends, yeah? Can show you around the city, maybe we can spar a little bit outside the Sanctum, then we can snuggle up together while we sleep the aches off! How's that sound to ya?" She'd grin widely at this; she never did get a good fight with Holly, given that the younger Meicrackmon wasn't so keen on hurting her when Ophelia wanted Holly to fight her at a higher stage than herself... But maybe Mae would be more cool with letting Ophelia challenge herself against her? Only time would tell, she supposed.
Ophelia would also glance over to Kenny at his praise towards her and Cassie; making the Spadamon grin widely, as she fist-pumped in the air. "Hell yeah..! You guys'll do great too, I'm sure..!" She'd respond to Kenny with a valiant grin and puff of her chest, adding to the others "We'll all do great..!" It seemed that Ophelia was in quite the spirited mood, to say the least!
In any case; Cassie was glad that no one seemed to have noticed or commented on her flusteredness over spotting Valt, letting her instead focus on the conversations at hand. She'd listen as everyone talked; talking about old DATS, and the ripple effects that might've come from the three Golden Week incidents, though... In noticing that Hikaru seemed to be not be feeling the most chipper, the two sisters would glance to each other; before Cassie would hop down from her seat, approaching Hikaru.
Once there, Cassie would reach up to gently pat his knee with a flipper (as it was hard for her to reach much else from the floor) in a comforting gesture. "Need a hug?" She'd whisper to him; extending the flipper upwards to offer the hug, as well as offering a soft and reassuring smile.
Ophelia, meanwhile, would listen to the suggestion that someone might've been orchestrating these incidents; potentially from the inside, even. The Spadamon took a few moments to think it over, before speaking up; musing out loud "Question is... What are they trying to gain, out of orchestrating this shit..?" She'd hum for a second, leaning back and folding her arms behind her head as she thought. Were they trying to make Digimon look bad? Make DATS look bad? Depending on the group you looked at, Ophelia figured that one could say that it went either way.
With Tiger's smile and response, though... Cassie would return a bright smile of her own; moving over to Tiger, to happily wave a flipper. "I'll be sure to tell him that, then..! I'd love for our whole family to be friends with you guys, if we could!" She'd chirp in her usual optimistic fashion; her tail wagging. "Maybe when things calm down enough, and we figure everything out enough, for you guys to come to the Digital World, we can even show you all around Ys!"
This would prompt a laugh from Ophelia; smiling down to Cassie. "One thing at a time, Cass." She'd tease; to which the Gomamon-X would playfully blow a raspberry at Ophelia - causing the two sisters to briefly laugh once more.
At the mention of Professor Ninsei - the Nise Agumon Hakase from the Golden Week incident - and the things he went into, though... Cassie would hum, nodding. "Yeah... It seemed like all the digimon at our parts had been hurt by DATS in one way or another; I imagine that's why they all banded together..."
"... Though it's hard to say whether the same is necessarily true for the digimon that the other groups ran into. At least, for the time being..." Ophelia remarked; scratching her chin a little as she thought. "... Maybe we could try getting in touch with the other groups, somehow, and ask them a bit about their perspectives of all this stuff? Pool all this shit together?" It sounded like as good of a way as any for them to get a better idea of the big picture for this incident... Especially given that the fact that they were the only ones who were able to pacify the inciting digimon implied to her that there had been something different, about the other groups' experiences.
Cassie would nod her agreement to this - before glancing to Machine and Tiger, asking "Do you guys think there's any way that you could maybe... Extend an olive branch, of some sort, to other digimon...?" She'd scratch her cheek a bit at this - briefly sheepish, as she wondered just how naive of a notion this probably sounded like. "Like... While we look for the missing people - your guys' son and sisters - you guys could try to fix relations some way with other digimon - show them that you're not the same as the old DATS?"

Post by Kenny O'Hara and Skadi on Nov 28, 2019 2:21:13 GMT
Kenny could only smile and chuckle at his and Skadi's Spadamon buddy's confident proclamation to the both of them in an friendly manner. There was something about Ophelia and Cassie that just made him feel all warm and fuzzy inside (a little ironic, coming from a couple of walking talking civilised monsters that called the snow capped mountains home), it just felt so good, to be honest. And combining that with the amicable (and adorable) imagery of Skadi and Jiro snuggling it out together, it just felt so good (well, except for the part with the socks, that's for sure).
However, what didn't escape Kenny and Skadi's attention was that Hikaru... wasn't exactly feeling the best from telling them about the actions of old DATS. And with both Jiro and Cassie offering their support (the adorable plushie seal even offering a hug, Skadi knew what she had to do. Briefly pulling herself off Jiro, giving him a gentle pat as she did, she outstretched her arms as she turned to her adopted papa and nodded in agreement, giving a kind smile as well. If Hikaru had accepted the hug from Cassie, the Valaismon would happily join in as well, willing to help in any way she could
Regardless, with Skadi getting back to snuggling Jiro once more, the two would resume listening to the Agents after that, Machine explaining a little more about the hubbub of Golden Week and the ensuring results, but one thing that didn't easily escape notice was the apparent discord that the agents themselves had for each other, or at least between Tiger and Machine. If at the very least they did trust each other as comrades. But still, Seifer and Ophelia raised a few good points. Who would do such a thing, and why would they do it in the first place.
"Well, if anything, I don't think either the mastermind, or the attackers for that matter, had anything to lose that day." Kenny suggested in turn, "If I'm correct, the mastermind of the attacks must have heard about DATS returning, and, for whatever reason, took advantage of the desperation of many attackers as possible by recruiting them for what looked like the perfect chance for revenge that day, potentially omitting or twisting important facts about the new DATS. Whatever the mastermind's motive was, be it power or whatever, it wouldn't be surprising if that was the case, especially considering all they had to do that day was kick back and relax while sending their own mooks out to take the brunt of the fall." To him it sounded a little plausible that would be the case. After all, plenty of villains, both fictional and real life, had a habit of taking advantage of those more weaker and desperate than they were.
After letting out another little chuckle from Ophelia and Cassie's brief banter and laughter from their little talk with Tiger, the discussion of Professor Ninsei lead into Ophelia suggesting about contacting anyone else involved in the Golden Week incident. That... would be a little tricky for Kenny to answer, "Well, there's Toki Akiyama, the spirit user I mentioned earlier involved with stopping the attacks, but poor guy was pretty badly traumatised after that, being forced to go against his moral code by killing and absorbing Matadrmon as part of a last request. Unfortunately, he's also the only person not in our neck of the woods that day that was involved in the attacks that I know of, at least." He just rubbed his arm a little awkwardly and sighed, showing concern for the mental well-being of the wielder, "I think he might be willing to help us chip in and tell us what he knows, considering he trusts me, Skadi, Yuuki and Hikaru, at least..." It was clear he wanted to do the right thing by everyone around him, be it friends, family or KIZNA. Hopefully Mae or Yuuki could throw in their own two cents about which of their buddies could chip in themselves.
As for Cassie's suggestion though... Kenny gave a little smile to the plushie seal upon hearing that idea, "Yeah, honestly, I won't lie, that does sound like a good idea, although admittedly that's gonna be a little easier said than done, what with all the blanket assumptions that plenty of Digimon still have about DATS, and humanity, in general, but I'm sure with a good amount of time and elbow grease, you'll be able to prove you're really not the same as the old DATS." He chipped in, "Perhaps reassure Digimon afraid of what DATS might do to them that you'll mean no harm to them, for one, even tell them that you guys are nowhere close to being like the old DATS."

"...I saw glimpses of what happened at the other two locations. I'm not particularly surprised that they ended up being far more messy than where we were, really..." Between cosmic pricks and people simply trying far too hard to look cool and getting slapped in the face for it, the fiasco with Arachnemon was akin to a walk in the park.
That aside...The cat tilted her head at Ophelia and Cassie, remaining silent for a few moments before she gave a nod. "Sure. One of Hikaru's kids showed me around already, but I'd be willing to hang out with you if you're offering." With that, she turned her attention to what Kenny was saying.
"I can vouch for Toki's competence. He's stepped up time and time again to help those who can't help themselves, and I do think he'd be willing to lend a hand in this regard. Thing is, the culprits all seem to have...different reasons for doing what they did that ultimately lead to the same thing. They had nothing to lose, so why not go wild? Blanket assumptions are something that's inevitable when you're an organization operating with the same name as a prior iteration that's...done some ill in the past. How you deal with that is via actions, those speak far louder than words do." A pause.
"...Anything else we should know or say here?"

Post by yuuki on Dec 17, 2019 7:04:32 GMT
Well, figured something like that happened... but honestly, this is like a wake up slap for Yuuki--no, more like a repeated slap that perhaps not all people involved understand what is "holding back" means. Sometimes shonen protag type people are really rife in Digital World. People who doesn't think the result of their actions... tends to cause a lot of problem.
Agent Tiger was right in a sense. Some people understood what sort of things happening with this world, and another think of it like a game, and doesn't see the big pictures. Honestly... He was offended because it literally against what he and his team stands for to be treated the same as those shonen protags who had no idea what sort of damage that they would do, but... Once again, he was being short sighted.
"Don't worry about it," Hikaru answered to Jiro, Skadi and Cassie. "...I'm just remembering something bitter after all. Please remember today as you goes forward, Agents. My only request for you is to please do not treat your duty as some sort of increased power... Behind naivete of what you see in human and Digimon partnership... there are tons of times in life poured in that. It's not like it's just a mere hobby. You're dealing with a person and their family.... yes, I think this is the most apt way to go about it."
What sort of benefit they gain?
"...That... honestly, some people just really like it for the world to be separate. Part of me also felt that if one side moved first, then it becomes something a justified aggression, which would means wars for both of the world. For example, let's say what the government gain from these Digimons attack are consolidation of DATS and allows more extreme policies to be applied, because Digimons abilities are made apparent, and what dangers it brings to real world. This could possibly includes enslaving Digimon.
If the aggression is started by DATS, then perhaps it's a chance for the Digimons to invade real world. Or perhaps, a petition to the God of Digital World to separate human and Digimon forever, thus ending the dissonance of power brought by humans. As you know, normally a Digimon does not goes up to Ultimate stages. Perfect is the most where they can go to... Super Ultimate is unheard of unless someone is super special. Yet, the appearance of humans pretty much made a power creep... perhaps that's another benefit." Hikaru explained.
After a while, Yuuki looked at the rest, and decided his next action. "I have no further question myself. I'll leave it to the other, but I do indeed feel it's good if we can talk privately. Let's see... KIZNA network is a bit more advanced than Tamernet, and its security is definitely better because our admin is actually our own city... should I give you one of our D-Nexus to ensure better private communication then?" Yuuki offered. "Of course, just like many D-Nexus that bestowed to outsourced workers, this D-Nexus only have access to areas that will be of your interest. In your case, missing person list, and dangerous individual warning board. However, it still can privately message any of us, and if we're in real world, call us. Though i understand if it's too conspicuous to hold item from some organization from other world... So perhaps instead we can install that program in your phone if you would like that."

Agents Tiger and Machine saw the logic of Ophelia's position. It was Tiger that spoke first. "Of course, I think it's vital we work out exactly what DATS's history is, so that we can proceed from there and iron out any further misunderstandings." she crossed her legs, sighed, and proceeded forth to reiterate the ugly facts. "It seems that our mission overall is complicated by atrocities done by our previous incarnation, so, while it's somewhat unfair, seems we need to answer for them still. At least as far as this other faction is concerned.""Agreed, but with an understanding that we have no intention of continuing them." Agent Machine added. "Our standing orders are simply to prevent digimon activity on Earth as they happened in Golden Week. I believe we can achieve that peacefully, and bring about the least amount of harm."The two of them looked to Cassie, pondering their response. It was Tiger that responded first. "Yes, we can do that." she said. "Tokyo is a city that thrives on peace. At least as far as Machine and myself are involved, we can keep anti-digimon operations to a minimum, as long as we know you're acting to help us in this regard. Help us with our objectives, and we will leave you alone.""And also keep Agent Maria away from you." Machine added. "While she means well... she doesn't have skin in the game as much as we do."Their attention next turned to Kenny. "That's a good point there, them aiming to pin the blame on us, from whatever happened in the past." Tiger remarked, but shook her head. "Still... it's so hard to believe that previous DATS agents were so... malevolent. All we want is peace, and yet hearing stories of previous agents... they behaved atrociously."Kenny then mentioned another. Toki Akiyama. "Oh? You know of him?" Agent Machine asked, curiously. "Agent Maria met him a while ago. Her report was very positive about him. He helped us learn much about spirit users and their role in all of this."As for the proverbial olive branch in all this, both agents Tiger and Machine shook their heads. "Sorry, but we need to be seen to take proactive measures against digimon on Earth under our standing orders." Tiger explained. "We can do our best to turn a blind eye where we can, but... our overseer has made our goal clear - do what we can to remove all traces of digimon on Earth. The events of Golden Week has only reinforced his belief that that is the correct way to go about things."They then turned their attention back to Hikaru, who raised a good point. "Of course, we have no intention to start going all high and mighty about you all, considering what you've done for us so far." Agent Machine said, with Tiger nodding in concurrence. "I mean, here we are, speaking respectfully, letting our personal goals be known. A war with all tamers is the last thing we want, in fact all we want is our sisters and son back. You seem to be our best bet, so we won't act against you.""However..." Tiger continued, hating the need to state this, but she needed to make the point known. "Please know that we're part of a chain of command here. As far as you're able to, please, try never to put us in a position where we have no choice but to follow orders and aim to detain you. While personally, we think highly of all of you here, if our superiors order us to, we would have no choice but to act against you... if we didn't, they'd hire people worse than us to do the job."Yuuki then made an offer to grant them access to the "D-Nexus", which seemed to be the means of communication within KIZNA. Agents Tiger and Machine exchanged glances, then with their digimon partners, then decided that this would be an excellent idea. "As long as it's all secure and easy, that's fine with us." Seifer stated. The Hackmon would be able to discern its security later, but, he thought it would be a good means of communication for later.

There are not much to be said other than what already has been said, so that aside... Hikaru nodded at Yuuki, to which he returned. Yuuki starts his next piece.
"Technically KIZNA's goal is survival of as much new chosen as possible, and to train them so that they're not causing interworld issues... that's our goal. We mainly focused on that because we have no idea what triggered someone of being chosen, and prefers if process of choosing is done naturally rather than inducted in some way. Therefore, I think while it's not entirely in line with what you want to do... I think we can coexist in less intrusive way."
Either way.... After Yuuki handed two D-Nexus which actually disguised as a phone, he began his next piece.
"We understand about your standing. As much as possible we'll also try to not put your position in jeopardy. I understand that there is things that you can't cross, and that's fine. We appreciate you either way. However, if for some reason DATS clash with KIZNA... and... I mean rather than personally, more to organization wise... what do you plan to do then? This is not a threat, nor this is any veiled hostility, I'm asking a way for us to come into agreement of what to do so both side can come out of this with least loss as possible. We're of course against permanently harming someone, but sometimes scenario like that can come suddenly..."
What to even say in here? "...Basically, all of us are scared of one thing: Uncertainty. We have enjoyed rather chosen-supportive government prior to this... and the actions of current government, I personally as a chosen, felt all of this was incredibly sudden. The tension is very real... and while we will give you oath under our name that we will not cause incident like that... we still want to know what should we do in case the government trying to do radical stuff... like forcefully separating us from our partner.
Because let's face it, I don't think any of us will take this easily."

Post by Kenny O'Hara and Skadi on Dec 31, 2019 9:37:41 GMT
Welp, despite Cassie's optimistic and ambitious idea, the Agents were still adamant on DATS' primary goal. But admittedly, who could blame them? They had a job to do underneath the government's watchful eye, and there was no denying the true dangers of Digimon, no matter how benevolent they were, considering at their core, they were still super powerful aliens, able to wreck entire areas with just a clean sweep.
Though this did make Kenny think for a moment; just what truly happened at Miyashita park? For all he knew, Matadrmon and his many lackeys had successfully managed to fuck a lot of shit up before going down all because of a shared vendetta. Certainly, a while after Golden Week, he spotted the nasty aftereffects, including a giant crater in the middle of the park. Just one of the many reminders of the true dangers of malevolent Digimon.
Regardless, he leaned over to give Cassie a reassuring pat, but opted to say nothing to her for now. Best to tell her that they would figure something out later once the DATS agents had gone home. But other than that? Well, he and the cuddling Skadi kept quiet as Yuuki and the agents started to wrap things up between each other. It was clear that all the agents wanted was nothing more than to see their loved ones once again. And while Kenny nodded in understanding to the agents about not crossing them intentionally, just what about if DATS superiors tried to go to extreme measures for their goal?
His eyes glanced towards the cuddling Valaismon/Dracomon X pile; the two had gotten a little close with one another, and established a sense of trust between them. How would Jiro react if he had to detain Skadi against his will, even when she was doing nothing wrong? This was just one of the many questions this had raised. But hearing the potentially real chances that the government would separate humans and Digimon?
Well, he didn't know what to say here. He just nodded sadly to the agents in agreement with Yuuki. Skadi was one of his first friends he made in a very long time, and ever since he met her, he had grown from a meek lonely introvert to a man building up his confidence to become a better person. And all because of that one chance encounter that day. He quietly stroked Skadi's head, and opted to say nothing, at least for now. At least let Yuuki and the agents wrap it up on amicable terms.

It seemed as though they were reaching the end of talks; as far as Ophelia or Cassie knew, they weren't really sure about what else to bring up - given that it seemed that everyone had more or less summed up most of their thoughts.
Cassie was, personally, disappointed that extending some form of olive branch was going to be unlikely; was there really no way for them to show at least some form of kindness or courtesy to other digimon, even whilst keeping them out of the city?
Perhaps it was due to how she and Ophelia both understood the DATS as them simply protecting their territory, similarly to how their Mom and Dad did; but they didn't have any misgivings, beyond something that Yuuki made a good point in - regarding tamers and their partners. Cassie just had sort of hoped that there'd be opportunities for them to make a better name for themselves, while maintaining peace...
"So us 'mons keep our heads down and behave as usual while we're hanging around the Human World, then?" Ophelia questioned, itching her nose briefly. "Can do; I might be a scrapper and a fighter, but I ain't a troublemaker." She'd remark with a hint of humor, smiling lopsidedly.
The smile would briefly fade, though, as something on her mind came to the forefront. "... Though... I'll have to second Yuuki here, and... I think Cass is on the same wavelength as me, here."
Indeed, the Gomamon-X would nod a bit; fidgeting briefly as she glanced between the others. "I... Me and Ophi, neither of us have human partners; we don't really have ties to other humans as strong as 'Karu might with Yuuki, for example. But... We can still understand that tamers and digimon still have a really close bond; and... I agree, that I don't think anyone would really be happy with just... Being torn away with those they love."
Ophelia nodded, leaning back a bit and mentioning "Protect your guys' territory however you must, I can't fault y'all for wanting to keep humans safe, but... Cutting off ties might be more trouble and fuckery than it's worth, I think."

This meeting seemed rather close to adjournment, all things considered. At least that's how Mae saw this whole thing. While it was disappointing that there wouldn't be much of an olive branch to be considered, Mae could understand why. The agents' jurisdiction was Tokyo. The Digital World was not Tokyo.
"I think we both want peace here. Either way...I think it shouldn't be too hard to respect these terms. Keep our heads down and try not to cause much trouble." She didn't have anything to say towards what Yuuki had mentioned regarding government support of the Chosen. She had no tamer. Mae could not relate, genuinely, no matter how hard she tried.
Yet, she could still see the bond between man and Digimon. "...Nobody would be happy with being ripped away from their loved ones." Mae uttered quietly. "I feel like that's a huge reason as to why opposition exists." A pause.
"...I think I don't have anything else to add here. I'll try to reach out via Tamernet if I find anything pertaining to Kazuo or your sisters, okay?" The holosuited cat nodded a few times, and if unopposed, would move to take her leave. If nothing else, she could start her work right now!

"An admirable goal in which we can support." Agent Tiger replied to Yuuki. "Of course... it's the method that brings us to loggerheads.""Yeah. Believe me. If we could change the policy of DATS, we would, but, we can't, so, we just have to work with that." Machine added. Then Yuuki asked what would happen if DATS were to clash with KIZNA. There was a pause as Tiger and Machine considered their answers, but they were surprised when Jiro answered first. "We'll do our best to cover for you." the Dracomon-X stated. "We'll try our best to look like we're doing our duty, but... we'd never act to destroy you. You're our best chances of helping us find Kazuo and Hana and Reina. We can do a lot of flashy stuff that can be passed away as fog-of-war, but, we really do trust you enough to know that you're not going to act in a malicious way with our world.""...Jiro's right, that will be our method of action." Agent Tiger said, a little startled by her partner's outburst, but found nothing objectionable in his words. She sighed and nodded at Yuuki's next words. "We'll do the best in our power to prevent that last scenario playing out." she said. "But this is a decision that us agents cannot make decisively. If our superiors make this decision, and we oppose, we'll simply be replaced, like as mentioned before. With worse people. Those on the level of Old DATS as you describe them.""Now that we know all of that, how about we end this meeting on a more lighter note?" Agent Machine interjected. As Jiro accepted Skadi's embrace, the Dracomon-X whispered a promise to her. "If we're ever forced to battle, I'll try to miss every time." he replied to her. Ophelia then added that it would be best to not cut each other off to Yuuki. The DATS agents and their partners were glad to hear that. It seemed that their meeting was close to ending. Tiger, Machine, Seifer and Jiro gave a nod to Mae at her input, then looked up at Yuuki. "So then, Yuuki-san. Are we done for tonight?" Agent Tiger asked, hoping they could leave on at least a note of understanding. She said her words with a respectful bow. If they were, the DATS agents would make their leave back into Shibuya station when possible.
