El Bulldog, indeed, could only do so much; Aslan Brigade being much more of a fearsome attack than it was, at the time. But, it'd still chip down at the Raiodramon's health; as weak as it was, being an attack that leaned more to accuracy on top of the Evasion Protocol dropping Matadormon's attack in general. Tanking this attack all the same, Raiodramon would use the close proximity to attempt to fire off a ranged attack at Matadormon, point blank..!
Inhaling deeply, one could practically feel the chill coming off of the beast's maw as Raiodramon prepared, before breathing out a burst of ice and frost at the vampiric digimon, in a Sub-Zero Torpedo..! Upon firing off the attack though, only then would Raiodramon begin to back off briefly; leaping back a short distance to put some distance between itself and Matadormon.
All the whilst, Arlecchimon would simply shake her head and laugh lowly; though her head was turned towards the battle, Yuko might still be able to feel the harlequin's eyes on her. "Oh, little pet... You'll know what I mean, with time, once the fight starts getting interesting. Assuming that he doesn't end up impaling himself on Raiodramon's spines first, with his melee attacks; ohohoho!" She'd briefly pause to laugh, lounging backwards against her DexDorugreymon's side, a hand gently stroking along its shoulder
As the laughter began to calm though, the masked face would soon turn towards Yuko, a confident and casual tone to her voice. "Just sit back and watch, won't you?" She'd finally, cryptically, respond. "Raiodramon might be a feral beast, but you mistake its preference for forward tactics for a lack of intelligence; and you haven't even seen all of its abilities, yet."
- Raiodramon tanks the weakened El Bulldog, its wounds accumulating; as minor as they are (aside from the much deeper wound from Patada Trompeta de Mariposa) - While still in close quarters, it fires off a Sub-Zero Torpedo at Matadormon, before backing off a short distance!
Move Used: [ATTACK] Sub-Zero Torpedo: Raiodramon breathes a blast of ice at the foe; chilling them to the bone on impact! [1 Turn Cooldown]
Passives Known: [PASSIVE] Spined Hide: Raiodramon's body is covered in sharp spines tipped with poison, making it difficult to attack up close without being hurt. Enemies who use melee-range abilities on Raiodramon take a small amount of damage, as they are poked or scraped by these venomous spines!
[PASSIVE] Venomous Beast: Raiodramon is poisonous, down to the very liquid data it bleeds. If struck with a bleed effect, Raiodramon's melee attack is boosted by the same amount that it is bleeding for the duration; and effects that involve draining its liquid data do not heal the user.
Cooldowns: Thrill of the Hunt; 1/2 Decillion Arrow; Waiting Aslan Brigade; 1/3

The chilly air building up in the beast’s maw foretold that a big move was coming. Seeing this from the corner of his triangular eye, Matadormon stopped chipping away at his opponent, and backed off. “I don’t think so, amigo!” The Demon King quipped, skidding to the side in the nick of time as Raiodramon unleashed its Sub-Zero Torpedo. The numbing effects of the venom had worn off almost completely, allowing him to move at his maximum possible speed plus the boost from Evasion Protocol, avoiding the icy blast with his very swift movements. During a brief intermission of both combatants taking their respective distances, Arlecchimon took the chance to taunt Yuko, teasing that Raiodramon had might have had more tricks up its nonexistent sleeve. “I dunno, I think I’ve seen enough. At least Matadormon is interesting to watch when he fights, not to mention he doesn’t hide behind his henchmen like a certain someone.” The delinquent sassily retorted. “Ahahahaha! You tell her, chica! Now that we’ve both seen each other’s hands, how about we try the same thing but better?” The vampiric bullfighter howled with excitement, jumping backwards and flourishing his long-sleeved arms forward. “Asalto de Flechas!” He exclaimed, shooting another onslaught of countless flying rapiers towards Raiodramon. OOC Notes: - Decillion Arrow’s debuff wears off. Matadormon is able to move at full speed again. - Dodges Sub-Zero Torpedo and takes his distance away from Raiodramon. - Attacks Raiodramon with another Asalto de Flechas. - Demon King's Charisma triggers at the end of the turn. Passives: Old Timer's Knowledge [Passive]: Upon meeting a new Digimon - except those of the "Unknown" family and beings that aren't really Digimon - he can figure out its Species, Attribute, Family and Type. Furthermore, if that Digimon belongs in the Nightmare Soldiers or Dark Area families, he can also figure out its weaknesses, if any. Demon King's Charisma [Passive]: If the user was not hit by any attacks in the previous turn, reduce all of his cooldowns by 1. This ability itself is not affected by this, having a natural cooldown of 3 turns. Data Vampire [Passive]: Recovers a little health at the end of each turn by absorbing the data leaking from an enemy's open wounds. The amount of healing increases the more data the enemy is "bleeding". Speed Demon [Passive]: Matadormon is among the fastest of Digimon. This makes it harder for slower or bulkier Digimon to land a hit on him, as long as he keeps moving. Effects: Evasion Protocol: Boosted speed, reduced attack power (1 turn left) Card used: None. Move used: Asalto de Flechas [Attack]: Fires the countless rapiers hidden in its sleeves. Each rapier that gets lodged into the enemy causes a tiny amount of data to leak out, adding damage over time and slowly sapping their strength. Has a 3 turn cooldown.
Cooldowns: Asalto de Flechas: 3 - 1 = 2 turns Patada Trompeta de Mariposa: 3 - 1 = 2 turns Demon King's Charisma: 3 turns

"Ooohohoho...!" It seemed that Arlecchimon would waste almost no time, in laughing off Yuko's retort; a certain smugness to her tone. "Oh, darling; you sweet summer child... See, this is part of why I think humans aren't worth our time, Matadormon dear..." She'd remark; eyeing Yuko, yet her words were now directed at Joker, instead. "She can't read us, like a digimon can. You can tell at a glance that I'm stronger than you as we are, right? A Mega, to an Ultimate. Yet, as far as she thinks; we're at equal stages, equal footing; and so she expects me to fight you head-on."
"But the fact of the matter is, that if I were to humor your human, and fight you as you are now? I'd murder you. Letting you square off against one of my pets is a far fairer fight - I'd argue - than to expect you to fight me as is; at least Raiodramon gives you a proper challenge, no?"
A challenge indeed; it seemed that Raiodramon wasn't about to let itself become skewered by Matadormon's numerous rapiers a second time - the beast quick to turn on its heel to... Leap off the cliff??
Indeed, it would jump off the edge, to land itself down amongst a lower portion of the winding path along the cliffs; nimbly avoiding being dashed against the rocks, as well as avoiding the attack entirely, as a result. It didn't seem to be counter-attacking this time around, though, interestingly enough; instead simply focusing on using its flexibility and grace to avoid the attack. Once it landed, it would begin to slowly stalk its way back up the ridge; eyes fixated on Matadormon, as it awaited his next attack, waiting like a patient hunter...
- Raiodramon dodges Asalto de Flechas, leaping down onto a lower path. - Raiodramon does not act, either; instead simply stalking its way back up, and watching to see what Matadormon will do next.
Passives Known: [PASSIVE] Spined Hide: Raiodramon's body is covered in sharp spines tipped with poison, making it difficult to attack up close without being hurt. “Tsk… why bring him into this? How the hell was I supposed to know that you’re a Mega?!” Yuko clicked her tongue in annoyance. She hadn’t even seen that many Mega-level Digimon around - sans Rasielmon and Lucemon - on account of how rare they supposedly were. As far as she could tell, Arlecchimon was a short, chubby clown with Dr. Octopus arms, not nearly as fearsome-looking as the beasts she commanded. Then again, having a deceiving appearance was the entire point, wasn’t it? “Running away already, are we?” Matadormon slyly said as the Raiodramon jumped to a lower cliff in order to avoid his rain of sharp projectiles. The amphibian beast just… stood down there menacingly for a moment, before it started stalking its way up again. “Ah, I see that you’ve taught your pets the value of patience, Arlecchi-chan. Muy bien!” The self-proclaimed Demon King bemusedly said, as he stood on his higher ground and calmly watched Raiodramon advance towards him. “Too bad you didn’t teach them to never go rock climbing when there is a chance of rain!” The vampiric bullfighter added with a sinister glint in his purple shades. He waved his long, flowing sleeve in front of him, momentarily distracting Raiodramon with the beautiful, mesmerizing cloth. If this beast truly was intelligent, perhaps it could appreciate beauty, and maybe that distraction would prevent it from noticing the five shiny blades that were hurled towards it while it was still climbing up. “Suerte de Capote!” OOC Notes: - Evasion Protocol wears off. - Matadormon uses Suerte de Capote, momentarily distracting Raiodramon with his fancy fabrics, before throwing 5 rapiers at it while it’s still climbing up the ridge. Passives: Old Timer's Knowledge [Passive]: Upon meeting a new Digimon - except those of the "Unknown" family and beings that aren't really Digimon - he can figure out its Species, Attribute, Family and Type. Move used: Suerte de Capote [Attack]: Uses his fluttering garment to deceive the opponent, and when the opponent drops their guard from a glance at the soft-colored cloth, he shoots five rapiers at them from close range, causing a decent amount of data to leak from their wounds. Has a 2 turn cooldown.

"If you underestimate your opponents, you're going to drag your handler to quite the early death, dear." Arlecchimon tsked right back, wagging a finger at Yuko in a scolding fashion. "And if he isn't around to discipline you in the event that that happens, then I'll have to do it for him..!"
Raiodramon, though, seemed to not be having a fun time... At least, at first.
Though the cloth did not distract the beast, the uneven ground it was scaling did not necessarily make for easy dodging; resulting in a few of the swords to sink into the Raiodramon's side, and eliciting a sharp snarl as it forced its way back upwards the cliff side, to Matadormon's level...
... But, even as it continued to climb; it was sure that the others would begin to notice certain... changes, in the beast. To begin, were the spines; which seemed to begin to glow a bright blood-red, growing larger, and sharper. A red glow seemed to settle over the normally tan stripes over Raiodramon's body, and even its eyes began to take on a red hue as its snarl would begin to morph into a ROAR; the intensity of which would make even Arlecchimon's other pets begin to nervously back away, lowering themselves to the ground in an almost submissive fashion in the wake of their brother's rage.
"Oh, sing your songs of battle for me, Raiodramon!" Arlecchimon would call with a clap of her hands. "Let them know the extent of your rage, won't you?"
And indeed, Raiodramon seemed keen on letting Matadormon know that playtime was over. Snarling sharply, its Thrill of the Hunt would provide the beast with a burst of energy that once more enhanced its speed, and its ferocity; darting past Matadormon, and attempting to gore him with one of its horns as it passed...!
- Raiodramon is struck by Suerte de Capote. However, being brought under 50% activates its final passive; Bestial Rage. - In the midst of its rage, Raiodramon uses an enhanced Thrill of the Hunt, and attempts to gore Matadormon as it runs past him, in a basic attack..!
Move Used: [ABILITY] Thrill of the Hunt: Raiodramon gains a burst of adrenaline in the middle of the fight that drives it to hunt harder; increasing its attack and speed by 30% for 2 turns. While under Bestial Rage, Thrill of the Hunt lasts 1 turn longer. [2 Turn Cooldown]
Passives Known: [PASSIVE] Bestial Rage: Upon falling under 50% health, Raiodramon falls into a primal and bestial rage that only makes it all the more dangerous; its moves gaining small additional effects or buffs. If a heal effect brings it over 50% once more, Raiodramon begins to calm down, and no longer gains the additional effects.
[PASSIVE] Spined Hide: Raiodramon's body is covered in sharp spines tipped with poison, making it difficult to attack up close without being hurt. Enemies who use melee-range abilities on Raiodramon take a small amount of damage, as they are poked or scraped by these venomous spines!

Everything was going according to plan… Raiodramon had taken quite a beating. In fact, it looked as if it had suffered much more damage in this fight than its opponent so far, despite being the more ferocious of the two. A fact that was seemingly about to change, as being reduced to half its vitality triggered its final, secret ability! Everything was going according to plan… Arlecchimon’s plan, that was! Matadormon tried to once again move out of the way, but Raiodramon’s sudden burst of speed was too much even for him to outmaneuver. He was able to avoid a certain, gory death, at the cost of the beast’s horn still slicing through part of his arm and torso, data gushing out of the wounds. “GAAAHH! No, no, no! This won’t do at all!” The vampire shrieked in pain, taking the chance of Raiodramon brushing past him to run a safe distance away. “You’d do well not to underestimate me!” Yuko yelled at Arlecchimon, while holding her D-Arc up. “I’m not his pet, and he’s not my handler! Jokah is my fr… my frrrr… he’s my FRIEND!” She struggled a bit to get that word out, but when she did, it came out like a booming warcry. “Digi-Modify! Regenerate!” She exclaimed, swiping a new Card. “Ahhh… Gracias, Yuko!” Matadormon sighed contently, as the Card’s power slowly healed some of his wounds. Using all the momentum he’d built up from running, he turned around and dashed towards Raiodramon, jumping upwards midway through, attempting to once again strike his opponent with his ultimate kicking move. “Take this! Patada Trompeta de Mariposa!” The key difference was that this time there were no handicaps on him, and his opponent, while enraged, was still seriously wounded. OOC Notes: - Matadormon avoids the worst, but is still wounded by Raiodramon’s horn attack. - Yuko uses Regenerate! on Matadormon to heal his wounds to an extent. - Feeling invigorated, Matadormon uses Patada Trompeta de Mariposa on the wounded Raiodramon. Effects: Regenerate: heals surface-level wounds and fatigue (3 turns) Card used: Card Name: Regenerate! Move used: Patada Trompeta de Mariposa [Attack]: Attacks with a mighty kick from the sky, drawn from his unique martial art, the "Bulldog". The power scales from Ultimate-level to higher than Ultimate-level, but lower than the average Mega-level, the more data the enemy is "bleeding". Has a 5 turn cooldown.

As Matadormon kicked downwards at Raiodramon, it seemed as though the beast was done carelessly tanking attacks like it had been doing, before...! Quickly turning on a dime with its enhanced speed, Raiodramon would proceed to dash underneath Matadormon's leap and jump-kick; the bladed foot only barely clipping the tip of Raiodramon's tail. This dodge would, additionally, put it behind the vampiric digimon, as it let loose another flurry of spines, in a Decillion Arrow..!
Something seemed to be a bit different about this one, however. In particular, what set this apart from the last use of Decillion Arrow... Was that the spines seemed far more numerous, this time; a wide spray of needles that were certainly harder to dodge, whilst under the effect of the beast's primal rage..! Would this increased accuracy catch Matadormon off guard, especially given that it was coming from behind??
"A friend, hmm?" There seemed to be a certain wry amusement in Arlecchimon's tone; though she never elaborated upon why she was so amused, instead simply lounging backwards against one of her pets, once more. "Hm... I can't help but wonder, then..." She'd muse; glancing towards the fight below. "How far would you go, for your friend?"
"Would you stop him, if you thought that he was marching to his death?"
- Raiodramon dodges the Patada Trompeta de Mariposa by dashing underneath Matadormon; placing the beast behind him. - Whilst behind Matadormon, Raiodramon would also let loose an enhanced Decillion Arrow, in a wide spray..!
Move Used: [ATTACK] Decillion Arrow: Raiodramon fires off the spines on its body at the enemy; the spines themselves dealing only a small amount of damage, but also injecting the enemy with a venom that reduces their speed by 30% for 2 turns as it locks up their muscles. While Under Bestial Rage, Decillion Arrow has increased accuracy [2 Turn Cooldown]
Passives Known: [PASSIVE] Bestial Rage: Upon falling under 50% health, Raiodramon falls into a primal and bestial rage that only makes it all the more dangerous; its moves gaining small additional effects or buffs.

Well, that had certainly worked out a lot better in his head. Not only did his opponent cleverly dodge his ultimate kicking technique, they retaliated with another Decillion Arrow that was even more devastating than the first one. There were so many poisonous spikes being fired, they might as well have been one decillion! And unfortunately, a bewildered Demon King was struck by the majority of them, reeling back from the shock. “Jokah!!” Yuko cried out, only for Arlecchimon to get her attention again with more taunting on her part. “Shut up! Shut up! He’s not gonna die! Not like this!” She all but snarled at the female harlequin, clenching her fist so tightly, her knuckles turned white. “Hah… Ahahahahahahaha!” Matadormon suddenly started laughing. Perhaps realizing that his Tamer was letting the enemy get under her skin, he turned to her and weakly raised his numb arm, making a reassuring victory sign with his blade-fingers. “You won’t have much fun in life if you’re worried about trivial things like death. Sometimes you just have to follow your dreams.”“Why would you drop such a cheesy line at a time like this?!” The girl retorted. “I’ve seen you dancing with yourself at night, when you think nobody is watching. You have talent, so why not make something out of it?”Yuko blushed slightly at that. “Oh, you’ve seen? I mean, I’m out of practice… I haven’t danced competitively in a while, and… wait, why are we having this discussion while you’re fighting a bigass lizard lion?!”“Ah, lo siento. I got a little sidetracked.” The flamboyant bullfighter chuckled weakly. With that, Matadormon resumed the fight from where it had left off; Handicapped and weakened, he still charged Raiodramon with everything he had. “This dance is for you, Yuko! El Bulldog!” He exclaimed while moving around, aiming a series of slower, but still swift enough kicks at each of the quadruped beast’s limbs. He was clearly gambling everything by getting in close range again, so hopefully it would pay off. No, he knew it would pay off in the end somehow! OOC Notes: - Matadormon takes the Decillion Arrow like a man. - After some heart-to-heart with Yuko, he charges Raiodramon with everything he has, aiming a series of kicks at its four limbs using his unique martial art, El Bulldog. Effects: Regenerate: heals surface-level wounds and fatigue (2 turns) Decillion Arrow: -30% speed (2 turns left).
Card used: None. Move used: El Bulldog [Attack]: A unique martial art in the form of a dance. Covers a variety of kicks and martial arts maneuvers used in close-combat situations without counting as special moves. Due to its unique nature, it is harder to predict against.

"You misunderstand me, dear. I certainly wouldn't be the one to kill him. What sort of friend would I be, if I were to let Raiodramon tear him to pieces like that?" Arlecchimon responded simply, gazing to Yuko once more. "I'd call off my pet, before things would reach that point. But those in the Fortress would not show him the same kindness, you see."
"I suppose that it begs the question; what would you say is more something that a friend would do: To let someone chase their ideals no matter how foolhardy, even if it could lead to their death? Or, do you protect them by trying to stop them before they reach that point? What would you do, dear?"
"... I, personally, would rather stop Joker's clinging to the past here and now, than to allow him to get himself hurt." There was a certain resolute hue to her tone, in concluding this; though her words held a certain fondness, as well.
Raiodramon would snarl deeply, as Matadormon charged forward; aiming kicks at it, despite his handicapped speed. Though its enhanced speed could, very possibly, be enough to avoid the kicks... It wouldn't; instead charging forward despite the landed kicks, and aiming to tackle and pin Matadormon in yet another ferocious Aslan Brigade!
Assuming that the tackle was successful, the beast would begin to eagerly tear into Matadormon with its fangs and claws; its primal rage seeming to lead it to go as far as to even devour whatever data it was able to tear away from Matadormon, healing itself just as the card that Yuko had used was healing him...!
- Raiodramon charges forward into Matadormon's El Bulldog... - ... so that it can attempt to tackle him, using Aslan Brigade! - Thrill of the Hunt wears off afterwards.
Move Used: [ATTACK] Aslan Brigade: Raiodramon charges at the enemy; goring them with its horns, and tearing at them with its claws and fangs..! While under Bestial Rage, Raiodramon heals a small amount of the damage it deals. [3 Turn Cooldown]

“What would a friend do? I…” The young Tamer bit her lower lip. She hated to admit it, but the harlequin kinda had a point; Jokermon had walked right into this fight, when he could’ve just heeded his former ally’s advice and walk away. And so far, it really, really hadn’t worked out in his favor. It was one thing to die for a cause and another entirely to die in a pointless battle. Raiodramon pounced on the attacking Matadormon, pinning the bullfighter to the ground and tearing apart at his data with its mighty Aslan Brigade. No amount of healing in the world would be able to save him if this savage attack continued. Sure, Arlecchimon claimed that she wouldn’t let her ‘pet’ actually kill him, but with such a wild beast things could easily spiral out of control. “JOKAH!!!” Yuko yelled at the top of her lungs, and in that moment Arlecchimon got her answer; How far was Yuko willing to go to save her partner? Why, she ran straight into the battlefield herself, squishy human that she was! Luckily, IceDevimon was there to grab her with his elongated arm and pull her back before she could throw her own life away. “Woah, careful there! Things are getting hot over there. And you don’t wanna get caught. In the crossfire.” The frost demon warned her. “I don’t fucking care! I’m not letting him lose!” The reckless delinquent replied angrily. “If getting to the Dark Fortress is that important to him, then I’ll help him, as he has helped me. And if the Mazoku are really as bad as she says they are… then they don’t deserve HIS castle!” She practically roared, her fierce determination triggering her Digivice to glow more brightly than it ever had before!
The light of Digivolution enveloped Matadormon, his body being converted into floating data that slipped out of Raiodramon’s grasp. Said data reconfigured itself into a brand new form. “Matadormon, Digivolve to… Piedmon!!” A puffy-looking, red tailcoat covered his upper body, with frills all over and a white ruff worn around his neck. Baggy pants and elf-like boots on his lower body. And his face was partially covered by a monochromatic mask, while a gravity-defying mullet of fiery orange hair flowed behind his head. “Woah… He looks as big as Lucemon now!” An awestruck Yuko observed. The newly evolved Demon King seamlessly floated in midair, seemingly light as a feather. “It is I, Piedmon! The Hellish Clown! Hah! Hahahahahahaha!! BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!” He let out a deafening laugh. In fact, his laughter was a passive spell in disguise, and Raiodramon would soon feel its disorienting effects. “There’s a difference between paying tribute to the past and clinging to it, dear Arlecchi-chan. My past accomplishments are fun to reminisce about, but what I find and always have found more fun is looking towards an uncertain, chaotic future! A future where Yuko and I can shake things up in an otherwise predictable world! Dare I say, she’s a better ally than you have been as of late.” The Hellish Clown accused his former sister-in-pranks. Piedmon then turned his attention back to Raiodramon. His evolved body still felt a little stiff from all the venom it had endured prior, but unlike his Matadormon form, this one didn’t rely so much on movement per say. “Your pet really likes biting, so how about we give him some new chew toys to play with? Toy Wonderness!” The demonic jester simply flicked his wrist, casually generating a roaring windstorm that threatened to sweep up anything in its wake… including a bunch of cute plushies shaped like smaller versions of Monzaemon and Waru Monzaemon. While they looked like they would be fun to play with, Raiodramon would find that if even one of those plushies made contact with its body, they would explode quite violently. OOC Notes: - Matadormon takes hefty damage from Aslan Brigade. - He suddenly Digivolves into Piedmon, escaping Raiodramon’s grasp while his transformation sequence occurs. - Triggers his passive, Laughing Mad, affecting Raiodramon. - Attacks Raiodramon with Toy Wonderness. Hellish Clown [Passive]: As a mysterious Demon Man Digimon from another dimension, and a master of magic and trickery, he gains a high evasion boost against magical, elemental and/or energy-based attacks, at the cost of lowering his defense against physical attacks. Laughing Mad [Passive]: The user roars with diabolical laughter that has a strong mental effect on anyone who hears it, making them feel disoriented for 1 turn and increasing all of their active cooldowns by 1. Usable as a free action with a 3 turn cooldown. Effects: Regenerate: heals surface-level wounds and fatigue (1 turn) Decillion Arrow: -30% speed (1 turn left). Card used: None. Move used: Toy Wonderness [Attack]: Creates powerful gusts of wind with a swipe of his hand, sweeping up toys that explode upon coming to contact with an opponent. Those hit by the explosions have their accuracy lowered for 2 turns. Has a 4 turn cooldown.

If things were to spiral out of control, Arlecchimon seemed keen on stopping things before it went too far. Just as Yuko ran forward in an attempt to enter the fray and reach her partner's side, the harlequin digimon would stand; her hand outstretched, as though she were about to make a move, calling her command as she did - "Raiodramon, dow--..."
And yet... Something would cut off her call, just as Yuko had been pulled back by IceDevimon. A light; the light of Digivolution, to be exact, that would overtake Matadormon's body. Arlecchimon would only be quiet at first, as she watched Matadormon change into the tall and imposing Piedmon; her expression as unreadable as always, due to the mask she wore. And yet...
... Even as Piedmon called her out as he did, the harlequin couldn't help a warm laugh and a shake of her head. "... Maybe so, Joker; I can certainly say that I had underestimated you, at least." She'd acquiesce; peering down to him from her perch on the ridge. "I suppose that I'd much rather you be alive so that you can be cross with me, though, rather than me being unable to share a laugh with the dead. You cannot fault me for that much, now, can you?" There would be a slight teasing tone to her voice now, as she chuckled more softly; reaching up to briefly adjust her mask.
Raiodramon, though, didn't seem keen on backing down - even now that Piedmon would outmatch the beast - only flinching briefly at the mad laughter of the clown. Was it out of the beast's rage clouding its senses, that it wanted to keep fighting, despite the odds? Or, was it out of an intense loyalty to carry out its mistress' commands? Unless someone could read minds, or someone learned to speak as a beast like Raiodramon did, it was likely that no one would ever truly know. Either way, the draconic digimon would prowl in Piedmon's direction - teeth bared in a constant snarl - as it inhaled deeply, readying its next move...
... Only for the swirling winds of Piedmon's Toy Wonderness to nearly sweep it off its feet..! Though it was far too large to be carried as the plushes were, it was clear that the Raiodramon was caught off-balance by it all; leaving it at the mercy of the not-so-merciful toys that were tossed about with the winds..! As the small Monzaemon and WaruMonzaemon plushies bumped into Raiodramon amongst the winds, they would explode; tossing the beast about and eliciting roars and snarls of pain from it.
As the winds would eventually begin to die down, Raiodramon was dazed, Raiodramon was in pain - but the beast was also still quite, quite, angry. Stumbling briefly - dizzy and aching from the attack - Raiodramon would attempt to fire off another Sub-Zero Torpedo at Piedmon, breathing out a blast of ice. With Piedmon being a Mega now, though... Even if the attack landed, it was unlikely that the chills would affect him as badly as they would've when he was a Matadormon.
- Raiodramon is affected by both Laughing Mad and Toy Wonderness; increasing its cooldown, and reducing its accuracy. - Dazed and hurting, Raiodramon attempts to use Sub-Zero Torpedo nonetheless!
Move Used: [ATTACK] Sub-Zero Torpedo: Raiodramon breathes a blast of ice at the foe; chilling them to the bone on impact! While under Bestial Rage, Sub-Zero Torpedo also decreases an enemy’s attack by 10% for 1 turn. [1 Turn Cooldown]
Effects: Toy Wonderness; 1/2 Turns - Accuracy Reduction

Those winds were powerful. Enough so to sweep a 42 kilogram human off their feet, but thankfully IceDevimon’s firm grip on Yuko’s shoulder ensured that did not happen. The multitude of explosions hitting Raiodramon’s body forced the girl to cover her ears. “Damn, this is intense! Is this what a Mega can do?” She exclaimed in awe, both at Piedmon’s display of power and at how casually he was acting now. Case in point, when the Dramon unleashed another Sub-Zero Torpedo from its mouth, the Clown Prince calmly floated to the side, avoiding the icy blast in its entirety. “Hah! Nice try, kitty cat! Maybe if I was still a Matadormon, this would’ve actually hit me.”“You can’t hit Piedmon-sama with an elemental move. Trust me. I’ve tried.” IceDevimon provided some needed exposition. “I don’t think Arlecchi-chan needs a reminder. She’s well aware of the kind of tricks I have up my sleeve.” Jokah shook off his hands, as the numbing effect of Raiodramon’s venom was wearing off. The lingering effect of Yuko’s healing Card used earlier left him in a very good shape, all things considered. He then willed the four swords on his back to magically unsheathe themselves, floating around him. “In the interest of being a good sport, I’ll give you a chance to call your pet back, so that you and I can have a real fight. Don’t take too long, though… Trump Sword!” And all four of the swords shot themselves straight towards Raiodramon! For supposedly being a ‘warning shot’, each of those swords was perfectly capable of skewering the wounded beast. They were definitely leagues stronger than Matadormon’s rapiers. OOC Notes: - Piedmon avoids Raiodramon’s Sub-Zero Torpedo. - Decillion Arrow’s debuff wears off. Regenerate also wears off, leaving Piedmon in a good shape to fight. - He warns Arlecchimon to call her pet back, before firing his Trump Sword(s) straight towards Raiodramon. Usable as a free action with a 3 turn cooldown. Effects: None. Card used: None. Move used: Trump Sword [Attack]: Four swords sheathed into a magic box on his back. They can be wielded as weapons, as well as thrown as projectiles, skewering the opponent. The swords respawn on his back after being thrown.

"And this isn't even the peak, dear. There is a strength beyond that of a Mega, that only a rare selection of digimon are able to reach..." Arlecchimon mused, in response to Yuko's awe; the masked Digimon glancing in her direction. "Perhaps, if Joker lives long enough, you'll have the pleasure of seeing what it means, to go even further beyond what most digimon think is the 'peak'. The Laughing King, the Hellish Clown; these titles exist for a reason, after all..."
... Today wasn't Raiodramon's day, however. It was hurting, it was still somewhat dizzy, and it was severely outmatched by Piedmon. Yet, the beast was still keen on fighting yet; even in the face of Joker's next attack - the Piedmon's signature Trump Sword..! At first, it seemed as though the beast was doing alright for itself; dodging the first sword as it leaped to the side. However, the next two swords were not as clean of dodges; shallow yet long cuts left on Raiodramon as the swords both grazed him, before the fourth would skewer into its shoulder, eliciting another roar of pain...!
Raiodramon would stagger, with this; seeming to be on its last legs. Arlecchimon could see this; and she would hum softly - reaching out a hand towards Raiodramon. "... I suppose I'll have to take you up on your offer then, Joker. After all, it'd be an insult to you, if I kept pitting Ultimates against you in this current form of yours." She would respond; and with a quick flick of her wrist, that familiar chain - the links shaped into the symbols of card suits - would shoot out towards Raiodramon, and hook onto the beast's collar.
Initially, Raiodramon would pull at the chain - its rage egging it on to keep fighting, yet... "Raiodramon." ... A firm tone and tug from Arlecchimon seemed to be enough to cow it, even with the bestial rage it was in. Limping, stumbling, the Raiodramon would return to Arlecchimon's side - where she would pull out Joker's sword from the poor draconic beast's shoulder, and toss it back to him. "There there... You did good, mama's proud of you..." She would coo to the Raiodramon comfortingly as it allowed itself to collapse onto its side; a hand stroking along its snout, mindful of the beast's spines. Raiodramon's eyes would close in a relaxed fashion, as the two shared an almost tender moment; pet and master. Though, of course, Arlecchimon knew that this moment wouldn't be able to last forever.
"Now..." Once Arlecchimon was done petting Raiodramon, she would stand up; glancing to all of her pets, now. "Back to the fortress, all of you!" Arlecchimon would break the chains of the three beasts; pointing back towards futher up the ridge, with a firm command. Raiodramon and DexDorugreymon both seemed to know better than to question their master's commands; the former staggering to its feet, and the latter's wings beating to take flight, as they both moved to leave. The Dark Tyrannomon-X, though, would hesitate briefly - glancing back at her, and then Piedmon, before growling threateningly at the clown. It seemed to not be keen on leaving Arlecchimon with the perceived enemy; but the harlequin would continue to shoo the dinosaur off. "Go on, go home; back to the fortress!"
The Dark Tyrannomon-X would hesitate for a brief moment longer; a low rumble in its throat. However, it didn't take long for it to follow its master's orders like the other two; following after Raiodramon, back up the ridge. Arlecchimon would quietly watch them as they left; the mask still concealing her face all the same, concealing any emotions that she might've otherwise been showing underneath the mask. As the trio of beasts disappeared from sight, though... Only then, would she turn towards Joker; a soft exhale escaping her. Was that a sigh? She sounded almost... Disappointed.
"A shame, that it'd reach this point." Arlecchimon would muse briefly, still staring up towards where her beasts had disappeared from sight, even if her body was turned to face him. It took a second for her to finally tear her eyes away to instead look to the Piedmon proper, before gesturing for Joker to approach her, up on the higher portion of the ridge. "Come up here, when you're ready to have your fight, Joker. It's a little more open and flat here; much more befitting of an environment for a fight between the two of us, wouldn't you agree?"
It seemed that he had a chance to catch his breath, and speak with Yuko and IceDevimon, if he so wished... Would he put this chance to use? Or would he start the fight immediately?

Yuko stared bewilderedly at Arlecchimon, who teased the existence of a peak of power even higher than the one her partner had just reached. “What are you talking about… a level that surpasses Mega?” Piedmon wagged his finger, all condescending like. “Now now, Arlecchi-chan, don’t spoil my partner. Getting to find out for herself when the time is right will be much more exciting!”
Taking the jester up on his offer, the female harlequin called back her pet Raiodramon, who had taken quite the beating. After a kinda touching moment shared between master and pet, she sent Raiodramon away, along with her DexDorugreymon and a reluctant Dark Tyrannomon-X. “That’s right. Be good boys and listen to your mama.” The flamboyant Piedmon said, waving his hand as if he was trying to shoo away a bunch of stray cats. “Wouldn’t it be smarter of her to keep them all around?” Yuko pointed out, as she approached her newly evolved partner. “Oh, she IS being smart. She knows too well that those defeated by the Hellish Clown suffer a much more humiliating fate than having their data loaded…” The demonic clown explained, making a sinister smirk.
The enemy had given them a chance to catch their breath before their big fight. Yuko took that chance to get a better look at her partner’s newest form. “So, can you fly now?” “I wouldn’t call it flying, per say. Like most Mega-level Digimon, I have mastered the art of floating by the power of a limited animation budget!” The clown replied, seamlessly floating around to demonstrate. “Ahh, I forgot… You’re too young to get that joke.” “Are you actually gonna fight her?” The girl asked worriedly. “Yes…” Jokah frowned, giving a much simpler answer. “Didn’t you two use to be close?” “We did…” “It’d be like me fighting Mika… How can you stay so calm about this?”
Jokah never answered his Tamer’s last question. Following their little banter, their breath had been sufficiently caught, thus he used his poorly-animated levitation power to float up to the ridge where Arlecchimon awaited him. “IceDevimon, give Yuko a higher balcony to see this from, will you?” He ordered the frost demon on his way up. “Consider it done, Jokah-sama. Hold tight, little creature.” IceDevimon replied, taking hold of Yuko and spreading his torn-out wings, carrying her up to a higher hill, from where they’d be able to observe the battle unfold.
Landing several feet in front of Arlecchimon, the Demon King dusted off his red tailcoat, before flashing a wide smile at his former ally. “Well then! Are we gonna put up a good show for this child? I hope that you’re still as classy now as you were back then, and that your pets’ brutish behavior hasn’t rubbed off on you.”

Arlecchimon would initially be quiet, as Joker and Yuko spoke amongst each other; staring off towards the Sea of Blood, that stretched out beyond the cliff side, going through what appeared to be... A deck of cards, of some sort? If one were to be watching her, she would briefly shuffle her cards; and once shuffled, would begin to draw some of the cards; the cards drawn floating before her. From this angle, it was difficult to say what exactly she was doing, let alone the cards she was drawing, but... A brief sigh seemed to imply that it wasn't satisfactory, to say the least. As Yuko questioned Joker's decision to truly fight Arlecchimon though, the harlequin would bring the cards back together; putting them away, for the time being. "People change, dear; digimon and humans both." She'd mention to Yuko, as she straightened up in preparation. "The passing of time can change anyone, and the world will change with it. If one doesn't adapt; they'll find themselves sorely disappointed, when the world no longer has a role for them to play." There was a certain solemness to her tone; yet acceptance, all the same. "And sometimes, even those who once held each other dear will fight; as cruel of a fate as it may be. It simply is something that I must accept, though, as a consequence of the roles we both have decided to play."
With that conclusion, Arlecchimon would watch as Joker levitated his way to the ridge that she stood upon; the harlequin herself even beginning to float a short distance above the rocky ground beneath them, so that her four arms could properly splay out in a neutral, readied position. As Joker called out to her, though; she would fall back into a seemingly cheery act once more, and chuckle to him. "Oohohoho! I do confess that I might've picked up a few tricks here and there, from playing the act of a Beastmaster..." Arlecchimon twirled a collar on the finger of one of her oversized hands, as though to prove her point. ".. But I do have my own tricks up my sleeve, darling; don't you worry yourself." She'd pause to toss the collar in the air so that she could catch it in her true arms; putting it away. As she did, though... "... Trust me when I say, that I will make this a show for us all to remember...!" Her left card-hands would clap together, as would her right card-hands. As her hands parted - her topmost hands meeting above her, and her lower pair of hands meeting beneath her - a seemingly endless array of large cards would be revealed, and flung out into the environment around them. These cards were not aimed at anyone specifically, though; seeming to be flying of their own accord, and forming into... A dome, of sorts? "If we are to be King and Queen, then let us have our Palace!" She would call, as the seemingly endless cards rapidly built up around them; the already little light there was beginning to dim, as the cards began to block it out. And as the dome formed completely, all would be black at first; even those who were able to see in dim light would be unable to see in the total absence of light, after all. But, suddenly... Things would light up brightly, almost as though someone had pulled away the blindfold. Though the 'layout' of the area around them remained roughly the same, there was a definite change in its appearance. They were no longer fighting on an open ridge in the side of a cliff, but in a castle courtyard; foliage and trees dotting the open garden, stone paths winding their way around, and even with an ornate fountain in the center. Birds sung and fluttered about the treetops, a faint breeze blew, and butterflies and squirrels would make their way past; a beautiful and soothing garden, it seemed. And surrounding the courtyard, were the tall walls of a castle; stalwart and protective. Arlecchimon, though, was nowhere to be found; yet her signal was still present, and her voice seemed to come from all around them, as she spoke. "... There is no place more appropriate for a fight, wouldn't you agree?"It was likely that Joker would recognize this move of hers. Her Palace of Cards; an illusionary wonderland, where she relied upon her mastery over this zone of her creation to confuse and befuddle her foes. But even if Joker could recognize the illusions as illusions... Was he capable, of seeing through them? This all would raise but a single question, though... Where exactly, in this strange crafted wonderland, was she?
- Arlecchimon makes the first move; using Palace of Cards to turn the area around them into a courtyard, and hiding herself somewhere in this illusionary landscape..! Move Used:[ABILITY] Palace of Cards: Arlecchimon forms a dome of cards over the battlefield; transforming the inside of it into an illusion-filled 'wonderland' that she pulls the strings in! Digimon cannot leave or enter the dome once it completely forms; and enemies trapped within are subjected to a 10% evasion debuff, as the disorienting illusions make it difficult to spot Arlecchimon's attacks before it's too late! This dome lasts for 5 turns before disappearing, as the cards fall away. [Once Per Thread] Cooldowns:Palace of Cards; Once Per Thread
