To be fair to Hiroyo and gang, it kinda did look like if the rest of the group was dissing the poor tamer behind her back. This was far from the truth however, as both knew never to doubt the skills of anybody until they actually saw it in action. But while Skadi did look a little disappointed hearing from Brad that her little plan had a bit of a gaffe in it, Odin just grinned as he pulled out one of his trusty tranquilliser darts for the rest of the whisperers to see.
"Welp, glad to hear I'm not completely dead weight in your little gambit, at least." He chuckled, giving the business end of the dart a little flick with his free wing, careful to keep it away from any loose body parts, "Lemme tell you, just one of these babies alone are enough to knock out even the largest Whamon stone cold. Doubt I'd even be here today without 'em." But as he and the rest pulled away from the huddle, his sight suddenly hit Hiroyo and the bugs, who apparently was starting to get the wrong idea about what they were going on about.
He quickly put the dart away and just waved a wing reassuringly, "Oh, don't mind us, we were just discussing our little battle plan. Nothing to worry about, lady, we'll tell you ASAP. You're cool, you're cool." Kenny and Skadi nodded as well, to reassure her further. Hopefully that would dispel any fears they had about them possibly holding them down. They needed all the help they could get, especially for tackling problems involving giant island ravaging monsters.
Thankfully, the team's reassurance (and especially Skadi's hug) did help cheer Rumshi up, and as both she and Rumshi pulled away, the werebeast simply apologised for the site, making Skadi shake her head a little, "No, don't apologise, pal. We know you've been having it rough, and we just wanna help you anyway we can." She told him. After all, this poor guy practically had everything and the kitchen sink thrown at him without warning, who wouldn't blame him for feeling that way?
Also thankfully, Kenny's idea to get the team to fly across was also well received, mainly by Nik and Hiroyo, although Morgan pointed out a little snag in that plan; fatigue, at least in Rodger's case. Before anyone could answer, though, Silence pulled out a remote, and summoned a giant space ship from hammerspace wait what?
While Skadi was looking on in awe, Kenny's jaw dropped, stunned into absolute silence (ha). He just assumed that Silence probably had a normal ship docked nearby, not literally be carrying a giant spaceship inside what basically boiled down to hyperspace. A moment later, he just pinched himself on the arm quickly, just to check if he was really seeing things right now.
He wasn't.
Still, the spaceship sounded a billion times better than just hopping onto the nearest flyer and taking off, considering all the weight they had to carry on their own shoulders. And Skadi just smiled as Hiroyo addressed her once more, "Yeah, I'd think it be much better if we used the ship. After all, I'm more than sure Silence knows what's she doing here, honestly. I did train under her once."
Kenny still hadn't gotten over the shock though, "...that still doesn't explain the spaceship."
Skadi just giggled a little at her tamer before turning over to Silence, "Sorry about that, Silence. Kenny's still getting used to the admittedly weirder aspects of our world." She quipped as she gestured to her tamer, rubbing the back of his neck in embarrassment with a smile. Just as he thought he knew every single rule in the Digital World, it just so always happened to be the little details catching him off guard.
Regardless, they still listened to what Rumshi had to say on the matter, mainly that the monster's range was around 50 meters, due to it's tendency to strike down airborne enemies, and that they had around 3 hours to reach the island, 2 to prepare. Despite the werebeast still insisting they take the money anyways as 'payment in advance', it still just didn't sit right with the two. Especially since he needed every single last bit to stay afloat, at least to them.
Instead, they just turned their focus towards the main objective, taking a look at the map once more, "Three hours to reach the island..." Kenny mused quietly. While that spaceship still bamboozled him, he turned his head back over to Silence, "Hey Silence, how fast is your spaceship, exactly?" He asked, while his glance drifted to it once more, "Think that might take us to the island on time?"

So... apparently the aggressive digimon on the island could shoot up to 50m high. This would be a problem, until Silence revealed that the "ship" she had in mind would likely be more than enough to bypass those defenses.
As the discussion continued, Nik thought it would be best to talk up a battle plan. If it were to take place upon Silence's ship, that was fine with him, but either way, whatever the team chose to do here to get to the island, he, Brad and Bixby would discuss their capabilities with the team.
"My partner Brad here can evolve to the Perfect level, and in that form he's a Kyukimon." he would say to them. "Bixby here, meanwhile, can only reach rookie form currently, but he's a scientist from an old land of the digital world and can hopefully provide battle information that could help us." he turned to the Gomamon. "Right, Bix?"
"Well, um, yes, but only if I'm well protected." Bixby clarified.
On the matter of accepting payment, Nik thought it would be good to accept it as a sign of good faith. Best settle out rewards quickly to ensure a good result, that was probably wise.
"So then, guess all that's next is to get to the island, right?" Nik asked, once everything was hopefully sorted out.

Things were going well! The client was comforted, and so was Hiroyo!
...wait what?
Hiroyo drew back blinking a few times as the ostrich leaned closer to reassure her that they weren't talking about her and wasn't that a weirdly timed reassurance? Right as she was thinking those thoughts to herself, could it read minds? She attempted to corral her train of thought back on track because it had jumped immediately to the thought 'oh no better not think about anything embaressing' and that was the opposite of best brain-reflex one could have when dealing with a mind reader! And he clearly had to be a mind reader because there was no way Hiroyo was that easy to read, right?
"Ahh, I'm glad!" She said outloud instead while her brain shouted questions and fumbled through images before she managed to quiet it down. It was probably just a coincidence after all! She straightened up and smiled at him, reaching up to pat Roger's side. "If anyone should be talked bad about it's this guy! Like, who shocks an alarm clock for going off? That's its job!"
The Kunemon in questioned chattered his beak in fair mimicry of an angry snake and Hiroyo dropped her hand to cover her mouth as she giggled. Before the conversation could go much further though talk was turning to the island and the trip and the spaceship.
"If it is shooting vehicles from the air it may be a wise course of action to approach the last distance on the sea." Morgan said thoughtfully, one claw rubbing at his chin while Hiroyo gasped and stared at the spaceship. She did try to pay attention to his words but even though she was listening he didn't make much sense! Going low, going high? Wasn't it obvious the high was best? Despite her confusion she would defer to his analysis. "Or approach very high then drop very suddenly into its blindspot. The second offers the most direct path. A closer approach on the water would limit potentional damage in the case of an emergency landing."
Roger snorted and tossed his head toward the space ship, he'd direct Hiroyo to load onto the spaceship the moment the doors opened so he could check out the inside but other than that he didn't care too much. Hiroyo wasn't surprised, just as she wasn't surprised when he finally did start taking an interest! The discussion of battle abilities made him wake up. He swivelled his head around and leaned forward to speak with Nik, his beak cracked open in a smirking grin. "As far as fighting goes my brother's a real blowhard while I'm a real live wire frontline kind of guy!"
Hiroyo pulled a face at the smug satisfaction Roger radiated while he spoke. Those were awful, terrible! Now really wasn't the time for word games!

The shutmon shook her head a little bit and raised a brow at hearing Rumshi apologize. Honestly there wasn’t anything to apologize for! She’d fold her arms and shifted her stance as the other told them that there would be time to rest and time to prepare. Did they really need to rest though? They needed to get things set up and ready for the octopus squid thing.
”Oh if that’s the case then I’ll just fly higher than that. Shouldn’t be a problem.”
The shutmon shrugged and flicked an ear as the mon seemed to think that they should still take the fifteen thousand bits. He would leave them to their situation and hope that they succeeded. Then of course… Well he seemed to think that it’d take about three hours to reach the island and then two hours to prepare. So about five hours total.
”Maybe by boat… but I think my ship is a little faster.”
The reaction from Skadi and Kenny was certainly something that made the shutmon laugh out loud. She’d slap the young man on the back with a hand [gently as she didn’t want to fling him into the sand…] and grin ear to ear as she stepped lightly to the entrance of the ship. Which was more or less just a ramp that lowered out of the bottom portion of it.
”Oh. The spaceship? I had a job on the moon that I needed to get to so I bought this with some bits. And no worries Skadi, Even I get sorta out of whack on what’s what in the digital world.”
The shutmon mulled a bit and blinked as Kenny addressed the speed of her ship. Given the distance and the general rate of travel boats had… Well that comparison would be laughable?
”I’d say it’ll take probably about a half hour, maybe an hour at most to get there? Less if I use the nitro. Don’t ask me how that works but it plays hell with the engine.”
Nik then followed up with saying that his partner could reach perfect level and while bix was only able to get to rookie he was able to provide information regarding the digimon in question. He’d need to get protected and the shutmon hummed a bit.
”Sounds easy enough. We’ve got enough hands where we can run defense and offense at the same time.”
The shutmon turned her head to note that the red head was making a joke of all things at a time like this! Though she had a soft spot for humor the digimon chuckled lightly. She’d flick her ears a bit and then list off the things that the ship had in her head before speaking.
”Even if we get attacked up in the air this thing has Digi chrome armor plating. It should be able to weather a few attacks before I’d have to set her down. I could theoretically get us up to a rather reasonable height and just digi-struct it. That way we can just fly our way down if that would be a problem entering the range. Even then; I hit the nitro? And then woooosh!”
The shutmon made a motion with her hand and let out a small chuckle. If that was it she’d step into the ship, heading up to the piloting compartment. She had to go over a few things before they could take off but given that? There wasn’t much stopping them from leaving their ‘port’ so to speak.
”Nitro tanks full… hoverpads primed and ready… Engines are spooling… Uplink signal strong… Armor plating at a hundred percent… Ah. Digistruction ready and… Lets seee… Full fuel tanks… Energy levels are ready… Check check check..”

Whatever happened, the journey takes about thirty minutes. While above the island marked on map by Rumshi, the team would see the preparation for the festival. Several torches stands along the way, some shops, perhaps provided by the owner, and operated by hired workers. There are a lot of japanese based summer snacks, and obviously there are some Hawaiian based cuisines too. They're going all out despite the threat it seems.
"Island landing tower to unknown aircraft, could you hear me? Please identify yourself and your reason of visiting, otherwise please turn back as you're entering private party zone." the communication system blares up with that announcement.
Should the team mentions anything about Rumshi, the tower would reply with "Affirmative" and let them to land on the eastern side of the island.
This one island is unlike the rest. It seems to belong to series of island that forms 0 number in cluster, rather than shaped like 0. This one is the biggest... but looks like contrary to Rumshi's report (or more the fact that he probably only knows one of the owner), it's owned either by a group, or the owner belonged to a group. A billboard says "Welcome to Nil Island Cluster. You're in Avere Island. This island is part of ZAVAN GROUP - The Best Tourism in Whitewater"
What to note on the eastern part? First, the landing pad. It's elevated, and definitely higher than fifty meters Rumshi told them. In fact, it's a flat airport about sixty meters from the sea level. There has yet to be any private jet that parked there beside theirs just yet, but looks like its capacity is quite huge.
Speaking of which, the island is in crescent shape (it's curved to the north), slightly elongated increasing altitude wise on the east. There are seem to be some number of forests. The natural barrier of steep cliffs on the north and east made it unlikely entry point for sea based monstrosities, but on the other hand, from south to west are very fragile.
That's where the beach is though.
At any rate, the reception was cold. The team was only greeted by a worker and told that they're to ride a rented car down the island. Thankfully this one is free, but considering how completely neutral the mon who told them about it (he's a Harpymon), it might as well as saying "I don't get why you're here, you're just security, handle yourself."
....Rumshi probably justified in why he wanted to cry when facing these shits.

Kenny's mind was still stuck in a bit of a state of shock from Silence pulling out the spaceship from nowhere, and not even the friendly slap on the back courtesy of the Ultimate-level werewolf was able to knock him out of it so easily. And... wait, could people here actually buy spaceships like one could buy cars? And hold regular expeditions to the moon?
...either Silence was secretly a bazillionare, or it was one of the many, many, many quirks the Digital World had up it's sleeves.
Regardless, as the gang climbed onto the ship with everyone else, Kenny taking his seat and Skadi laying in his lap, and Nik and Hiroyo described what their own Digimon could do, Kenny smiled as he stroked his partner on the head, "Well, may I add, Skadi can hit Perfect as well. Her Markhormon form is incredibly strong, and bulky too. She can take plenty of hits and dish it out right back. Plus, I do have a set of cards that can turn the tides in our favour as well."
"Electricity. Plus plenty of healing abilities as well." Ramona added, leaning back in her seat to enjoy the vi
Odin pulled out one of his tranquilliser darts once more, and an unlit firecracker, to show the group, "Need I say more?"
Regardless, with Silence rattling off the specs to reassure the team about how her fancy spaceship worked, before taking over the reigns to pilot the ship for herself, Kenny looked down to his partner, "Skadi, I won't lie, I'm pretty nervous. Poor Rumshi looked so upset back there, and I really don't wanna let him down today." He sighed a little.
The young Valaismon gave a reassuring smile to his partner, "Don't worry, Kenny. We won't!" She pet Kenny gently, "After all, we managed to do a lot of amazing things together before. And I don't think we're gonna let him down so easily. After all, you and I are a team, remember?"
"Yeah, I guess you're right, Skadi." He chuckled a little, "Besides, we have, like, some really good teammates here. As far as I'm concerned, Rumshi's in very good hands." His eyes glanced over to the rest of the team aboard the ship. They had plenty of hands on deck, and every single one of them looked ready and willing to save the day, at least to him.
All they could do now was make themselves comfortable, and wait.
As the team reached the island marked on the map, Kenny decided to give a little peek out the window, Skadi quickly following suit. So those people were just going to brush off the apparent threat ready to strike the island tonight. Still, neither could deny all the work that was being put into it. But why tonight of all nights? Why would they just nonchalantly shrug off a massive threat that flat out decimated island after island in what felt like a matter of moments.
Despite the brilliant display, it was to ignore the general cloud of unease silently looming over the island. Their eyes glanced over to the billboard nearby welcoming them in. Just who was 'ZAVAN GROUP', anyways? Admittedly, Kenny and Skadi had never heard of them before, and Rumshi never got to namedrop them, but were they the association that he mentioned earlier? The same one which basically dragged him through the mud and then some?
But as welcoming that the island's appearance was, though, the reception, to put it bluntly, wasn't exactly anything to write home about. Still, they had to be polite, at least in public. Kenny just smiled and nodded to the Harpymon, "Ok, thank you sir. We'll get right on it." And with that, they would set off to where the rental car was, to make that fateful trip to the beach.
Nobody, or at least Kenny, Skadi, Ramona and Odin, dared to say anything about the staff. Whatever complaints they had, they had to save it for the trip back home.

At first Hiroyo had been excited to ride in the spaceship! Sure she'd never be able to tell anyone who didn't know about the Digital World, and sure most people in the Digital World would maybe not find it particularly interesting but it was still a futuristic spaceship! And it had to be better then riding on Roger's back with the wind threatening to pull her off, right?
Then she actually rode in it.
There were some things that were just unkind to the body no matter how pleasant people attempted to make them. Silence was a really great pilot Hiroyo was sure! Just something about the combination of speed and height or something she had a breakfast or maybe it was just that new vehicle smell that totally existed that did it to her!
Either way Hiroyo found herself vaguely queasy during the trip. Queasy enough to keep her mouth shut for most of the trip as she tried to figure out the two thoughts that kept bouncing to the front of her mind like a basketball rebound aimed for her face.
Why was Silence familiar?
There was something about how she talked, something about how she moved that was tickling a part of Hiroyo's brain that sat up in recognition like a dog at the faint scent of bacon grease out of a trash can. She was positive she had never met the 'mon directly - she wasn't so use to Digimon in general that she'd mistake Silence for anyone else! - but the exact where and why was escaping her at the moment.
She turned her attention to the other thing that was occupying her mind and that was the discussion happening all around her.
"Oh nice." Roger almost purred as Ramon and Odin spoke. She felt the shift in weight as he stretched his front-half off her shoulder to get a little closer to the firecracker with his beak stretched in an obviously amused grin. "So I guess we can count on you to put on an explosive show!"
He burst into a cackle and Hiroyo heard Morgan sigh and faceclaw. "Forgive him," he finally said when he lifted his head. "he is operating under the mistaken impression that he's funny."
"Sour-sport." Roger teased, and Hiroyo opened her eyes to watch as he retreated back onto her shoulder with his tongue stuck out. "Nothing wrong with a bit of levity where you can get it!"
He did seem to settle down after his brother's admonishment and gave more useful information. "We're capable of Adult on our own and Perfect together. He's got a little bit of Wind, fire, and likes getting hit with electricity, gives 'im a boost. I've got electricity and the thunder!"
Hiroyo smiled slightly and shook her head. He sounded so proud she could just imagine him pointing at himself with both thumbs. If he had thumbs. Man the troule he could get into with thumbs. She shivered a little and ignored the way he turned toward her, one stripe quirked in inquiry as Morgan continued to speak.
"Together we have lasers, disorientating sound, and some versatility in changing what our moves do." Morgan explained, briefly touching on MetallifeKuwagamon's abilities. He cleared his through before continuing and Hiroyo felt her lips tighten at the memory of the last, and first, time they had brought out that form. "We also posses and incredibily powerful laser that makes flight rather tricky for everyone however it is an extremely powerful move."
Hiroyo shut her eyes and went back to being focused on breathing deeply. It was wise to share information like this she knew, especially when the mission actually gave them time to do so.
It still felt a little weird although she couldn't place why.
She cracked an eye open as the announcement came through the speakers and felt Roger stiffen in anticipation on her shoulder. She grinned, glad she wasn't the only one glad to be off the spaceship even though she knew they had very different reasons for beign so.
As she took her first steps onto solid, dry land she gave a quick spin on one foot while Roger curled closer to her neck and clung on, a surprised curse bitten off half-way in surprising mindfulness of current company.
"Thanks." She whispered as she came to a spot and she reached up to pat Roger's back as she faced the rest of the team with a big grin on her face. The Harpymon showed up and directed them all to the car and Hiroyo continued to pet Roger, her movements becoming heavier and more varied as her face became a carefully bland smile while she echoed Kenny's nod to the help.
It wasn't worth picking a fight about the tone with which they had been recieved, and really wasn't it a kind-of back-handed compliment that the Harpymon was trusting them to take care of themselves?
"Hm.." She lifted her eyes to Morgan as they made the trip to the rental car. He was floating just over her head and a little in front as always and she was glad the rim of her hat shaded her eyes from the harsh tropic sun.
"What's up? Besides you?" She laughed at the 'I'm-amused-but-not-really' look he threw her and eased up on her petting when she heard Roger snicker. Distraction successful! Snippy comments from bug-beaks had been avoided!
"Is it contagious?" Morgan demanded. He looked very put upon for a moment then shook his head and answered properly. "I suppose I am surprised that the Harpymon seemed indifferent to the whole reason we are here. I know I should have expected it from what Rumshi said but..."
Hiroyo nodded in understanding. Without realising she was doing so she swapped from distracted pats to small and light strokes across Roger's carapace, the gesture more self-soothing than anything.
Her little group had faced danger before and all available evidence pointed to the rest of the group likely having done the same.
She had to believe they would be okay.

Nik took in the words of the others of what they could do out there. Brad did too. While the Bearmon was no longer in the 7/71st, he still had enough of his military acumen to figure out how to best work around his acquaintances in the battles to come.
As they made their way to the island and landed, Nik and Brad were a little startled by how coldly they were received, but, they got the impression that Rumshi had reason for his desperation. And so they would do their best to remedy that.
The two gave nods and smiles as they were offered their rental car. It seemed safe enough. From the overhead view, Nik knew the main threat was from the main beach, and that they had to get there as quickly as possible.
Still, he had a question for the others in the group.
"Once we get to the beach, do you think we should stay incognito? Or make our presence known and evolve to Adult or Perfect?" he asked. Each option had their advantages and disadvantages, so he wanted to know where the team stood on this.

The shutmon flicked her ears as the communication system blared up, she’d lean over to push a button to respond to them. It was an easy thing to explain what they were here for and the shutmon wouldn’t waste any time getting right into it.
”Yeah we’re here about a squid problem that Rumshi told us about. Brought the knives so we can make calamari later. Where we landing?”
The shutmon thumbed off the button and let out a small chuckle; she didn’t particularily think it was a clever joke but what was the point of not having a little bit of fun? Silence glanced back at the others as they explained their various abilities and their levels. She felt her mind start to work and she already kind of had an idea of who needed to be where.
”I’m a close quarters specialist. My Shutmon form is a special move user and has things for medium to long ranges. My meicrackmon form is pure... aggression I guess? but if I tap into it you won’t be dealing with me you’ll be dealing with a secondary personality that’s extremely lazy. So she’d want to end the fight very quickly. She’s a bit of a charmer from what I’ve been told. Oh. Uh. Right. Ice for shutmon, Poisonish/darkness/sensory fuckery with Meicrackmon.”
The shutmon chuckled softly and flicked her ears back n forth, mulling things over. If things got dicey enough maybe she could let the mei stretch some? They did like fighting sometimes so maybe this would be one of those times!
With them landing on the island and exiting the spaceship silence would turn to it. Looking it up and down before pulling it back into that small black device that it had come from before. She’d stow it in what seemed to be her neck fluff but if one took the time they could easily see the little glow of an infini storage… Quite a plaec to put it really!
Silence stretched a bit as the harpymon’s reception went on; she mulled things over. Eyeing him as he talked and then shook her head. She got where Rumshi was coming from and considering everything… Well darn! He was right boned if they didn’t help him!
”Thanks brightfeather; Don’t worry we won’t scuff the paint. It got a full tank of gas or do we have to fill it up too?”
The shutmon gave the Harpymon a wink before trotting towards where they would get to whatever rental car they were given. The shutmon turned her head and mulled the query Nik seemed to have.
”I think the forms we have right now are good, having someone at perfect will draw attention. So we should only have one. Two adults wouldn’t be as blaring of a threat either. If you wanna stay incognito go for it. We also don’t know how this mon is going to react to humans, so I’d suggest having a bit of distance between you and where the fight will be.”
If allowed the shutmon would be the one driving, just how well versed was she in different modes of transportation? Or was it just all… well luck? Given how she was looking at the steering wheel like it was a chocolate pretzel with sprinkles on it...

The Harpymon seem to not be amused of what Silence pretty much implied, but the bird man seem to not gave it much thought before simply walking off himself, while muttering "dirty mercenaries" and likes. Someone sounded like they view themselves as an elite, huh?
Either way, as they drove from the eastern end to the western end, they will find that this place is... probably more synthetic than rest of the Digital World? There are signs of trees sold in Terminus Mall high end stores , which promises "tropical fruits in 2x the yield and speed"... the price is really ridiculous though, and it need a very specific form of plug socket on the ground, to which its "roots" which is in shape of plug would be inserted on.
Basically speaking, this island seem to be more synthetic, rather than "naturally random" like other islands. It's very... mechanized so to say.
There are various drones that seem to flew around the island, doing their business. Is this the security of the island? Because for an private island this big, the only security that they saw are the ones on the airport... and one just lounging around under one of those tree... lazily eating a freshly harvested fruits.
...Is this island seriously OK?
There are tourists, humans and Digimons alike that seem to play around facilities in the island. None of them seem to be that important. On the center there are some hotel for those that does not want to stay near the water, and prefer the quietness of the forest instead. It's dome shaped. It's close to the island's control building, which is a huge tower, and seem to only be accessible by people with credentials.
The beach meanwhile is wide... full of stalls selling foods, and pretty much well equipped for a party. There are hotel building and some private huts. As the team are early, it's seem there are quite a lot of time before the danger struck... Now where do they want to go?
If they're unsure of placement of any facilities, thankfully there are guides (which thankfully seem to be more cooperative than some of the facility's worker)

Once they were in the car and away from prying ears Roger turned to the Shutmon, his beak opened in a slight smirk. "Well I appreciated your comments."
"Mm?"
"Don't worry about it."
"Alright." Roger swivelled his head to examine Hiroyo's face, his stripes narrowing. She had wedged herself into a middle seat with Morgan on her lap and Roger curled about her shoulders like an caterpillar-shaped scarf. As if she felt his 'gaze' she turned her face from the window to raise her eyebrows at him. "Yes?"
"What's bugging you? 'Sides me?" He smirked as Morgan sucked in a breath and then very quickly began talking about the trees. Roger did want an answer but he was happy to let his brother rattle on about the local flora.
There was an entire car of other 'mons and humans to suffer with him.
"Do you see that venerable tree on the left with the striped fruit? The one the guard is resting under. It is native in the Cipher Jungle and is notoriously tricky to transplant. The roots have a four prong configuration compared to the typical three. The fruit is said to be especially delicious." Morgan's voice had taken on an almost wistful tone as he spoke of the tree and Hiroyo smiled the patient smile of someone who was use to a friend rambling on and on about a special interest and, even if she herself didn't enjoy the topic, enjoyed listening to him express his interest.
"Oh? So it's from not far away right?" She prompted, ignoring Roger's very valid "why are you encouraging hiiiiiim" groan. Tree knowledge wasn't usefull unless it was 'does tree produce food' and 'can tree be used as blunt object' in his opnion. "So does it cost a lot?"
"Certainly. The root configuration and natural rarity of the tree itself and the desireablity of the fruit means it is quite expensive! Many of the other species are similiarily pricey. Although," Morgan frowned slightly, his antenna drooping disapprovingly. "It does not appear as though these trees were placed with little disregard for their natural neighbors nor with any kind of thought as to complimentary requirements. Wasteful."
"Hey, heyheyhey." Roger butted his head up against Hiroyo's cheek, his impatience finally winning out. "What were you looking so wistful for out the window about, huh?" Her expression faltered, the smile shrinking into tight pressed lips as she looked around at the tourists, and then glared at the center tower.
"I'm okay! Just looking forward to air condition and hopefully an elevator in the tower." She said with faux cheerfulness. She shot a meaningful glace toward the driver's seat and shook her head and he grit his beak in frustration. He really wasn't fond of all this 'polite' business. "I think we need to go there to meet our employers? Or maybe checking out the place where we might be fighting would be best?"
She looked at the rest of the group, waiting to hear their decisions. She would follow after them whereever they led, her expression shifting to that tight, angry expression whenever she watched the tourists going about apparently blissfully unaware of the impending threat.

The Shutmon's logic was sound, it would be better if they stayed as lowly evolved as possible. Even though Nik was a relative newbie to the role of a chosen, he had enough logic to know that the level a digimon entered a situation at could alter it incredibly with strategics. A bunch of rookies and champions arriving wouldn't pose much of a threat. A bunch of Ultimates and Megas meanwhile... yeah, that would put the opposition on full alert. And he thought that that was something they would probably not want here.
As they arrived on the island, Nik and Brad disembarked, taking a look at their surroundings. There were currently loads of tourists - human and digimon here. So they had arrived on time. That was a relief, now they could hopefully act with initiative.
Nik overheard Morgan and Roger's conversation and for a few moments found it rather interesting. He would have asked more, but Brad cleared his throat and patted his waist, indicating that there were more important things to pay attention to here.
"Ah, right..." Nik said as he listened to Hiroyo's inquiry. "First thing I think we need to do is come up with a way to evacuate the beach, peacefully if we can... maybe we can make a Tsunami alert? That'd clear everyone out pretty quickly, I reckon. And we don't even need to be right about it either, we have pretty good intelligence that an attack will happen here, but I think they'll believe the Tsunami more than a monster attack."
Brad then followed this up by backing his partner. "I agree. Once the beach is cleared, that gives us a whole lot more options in how we can prepare for this attack. A Tsunami warning that we pull off officially enough, we can pretty realistically have the beach cleared for the whole day if we need it."
Nik looked to his comrades here, hoping they would agree. While indeed, giving out a technically false warning might be a bad thing, it was still a warning for something horrible that they were sure would happen. Clearing the beach of innocents was their first objective here.

Silence stifled a snicker and grinned as she watched the Harpymon walk away; her ears flicking at hearing that dirty mercenaries bit. She wasn’t dirty! If she was her fur wouldn’t be the stark white! She took very good care of her fur; though likely not to the same extent as her predecessor.
Silence drummed her fingers on the steering wheel and glanced back to the others from time to time. Her grin widening a little further as roger piped up; the snark was appreciated by someone of course. That much could be said at least… Though she had to wonder why they were so lax about this… If a mon attacked this place all of a sudden well? They didn’t seem like they would be ready.
”Appreciate it sparky~”
She’d hum a bit as they drove along; flicking her ears slightly as Morgan went on about the trees and various fruits. She was taking careful consideration of the road and taking in the information that the other was providing them. She’d frown lightly as hiroyo gave a good suggestion or two. Or at least what seemed like suggestions.
But before she could provide some input Nik hopped on in with something of his own. A way to evacuate the beach? Peacefully? The shutmon considered this… A tsunami alert would provide panic and people would question it if it didn’t happen later. The shutmon rubbed her chin and glanced to them.
”Well this is a resort right? Wouldn’t it be easy to convince whomever is running this to hold a party or something for the guests away from where the combat is going to occur? While I agree that a Tsunami alert would pull people away from the beach; there are folks that might fact check or people that will blindly panic.”
The shutmon pulled over to the side of the road and rubbed at her chin. They were in a good spot to go where they needed to. Perhaps there would be something they could convince the owner to do? A party would actually work well and would disguise any noise…
”Actually if we can get enough music going at whatever party could be thrown it’d cover up the noise of the combat and give the owners enough time to fix up the area if it gets damaged. I think the tsunami warning should be our last bet if other things don’t work out. That and it’d help thin out the area around here even further if it was far enough away.”
The shutmon also figured that once they were done with the fight that maaaaybe they could stop by the ass end of the party and get something to eat. She knew that she would be hungry after a fight…
”That said. Lets look at where we’re going to be fighting, talk to some guides and find out who runs this joint so we can have them set something up to make this easier for all parties involved.”

Sweet Jesus Christ, did Harpymon wake up on the wrong side of the bed this morning? Especially since the threat of the mutant Gesomon was clearly looming over him and the rest of the island that day. Were they that crazy to ignore the certain dangers should the monster run loose upon the island, like the others beforehand? Regardless, as the group jumped into the car and drove off, it was time to discuss a plan of action.
Silence did have a good point; several Perfects and Megas running around would essentially raise a lot of suspicion, compared to a bunch of Champions running around. In the Digital World, Champion level Digimon were still about as common as leaves there, while still being able to pack a punch, too. Skadi, Ramona and Odin could attest to that.
But while Hiroyo and co. had their own conversation, Kenny couldn't help but gawk around the entire city. Instinctively, he went to pinch himself on the arm once more, attempting to convince himself he wasn't seeing things. He wasn't. It was like if he and Skadi waltzed into the middle of a Sci-Fi film set in the distant future. Almost a little dystopian, too, considering the synthetic fruits they were selling, for one.
Almost freaky, really.
Regardless, how were they going to go about this? Nik and Brad had thrown out the idea of setting up a tsunami warning to drive the residents away from the beach, but Silence, again, had a valid point. These people may be jerks, but they weren't dumb (well, not completely dumb, at least); they could easily smell a rat from far away, especially if the warning wasn't convincing enough.
"Hey, speaking of," Kenny added, "I'm pretty sure there might be a few dumb-dumbs out there who'll just waltz up to the fight to watch, thinking it's like a live show or something? If we can get the chance, maybe we could try and lure the monster away from the party as much as possible, just so some stray residents don't accidentally get caught up in the crossfire. Trust me, I've seen my own share of dipshits back home who've actually tried to get close to a fight for... various reasons. Let's just say it wasn't pretty."
Skadi just twiddled her thumb nervously. What if she accidentally caught someone in the crossfire herself? "I could taunt them to bring them away from the party. Don't worry, I can take the blows well." She added to the group, which only got her a light hair ruffling from a worried Kenny.
"Just promise me you won't get yourself killed, OK girl?" He told her as the Valaismon bunted against his hand with a smile, "I don't wanna worry about you too much."
"Don't worry, Kenny. I won't!" She reassured him as she continued her bunting.
Nethertheless, Kenny and Skadi would nod in agreement with Silence's plan. At least a few more details would be good beforehand at least. Just where were they going to be fighting anyways? Time was of the essense, and the faster they could figure out how to stop the beast, the better.

As the team decided what to do, soon they finally passed through the forest, and finally reached the halfway point to the beach. Here, they could see the beach from the road. There are lots of summer festival stalls going on, some just being set, some is already gathering some visitors... They're free apparently, and paid by the resort owner considering it doesn't look as if the guests are paying at all.
If there are humans, they seem to be chosens... obviously.
Soon the road leads to several pathway... first is to the beach, the second is a hotel or sort, and the third is the private suites rather than hotel suites. A fourth leads to the piers.Looks like it's really straightforward... But considering how straightforward it is, perhaps they never thought of an evacuation road or something, considering the only exit was either through the small airport on the top, or the beach via the port.
The staff here thankfully looking more alert than the staff at the "Forest". Some of them looked like they jumped out straight from some action movie. Perhaps they're holosuited Digimon, perhaps real humans... whatever their nature is however they blended enough to not cause any disturbance with tropical print shirt, floral necklace, and short pants. They're everywhere it seems.
There are parking lot near here too... the time to the party to kick off is still long... What would the team do for the meantime?
