"...I...." well, it's a complex thing really! Valt looked thoughtful for quite some moments. It took about... two minutes or so before he finally said what he have in mind. "...I admit, I'm someone who's very easily satisfied at times. I think this is because my old self who doesn't really care that much for anything but present happiness... This made me... very unbalanced you see. First time I trained someone, I trained them rather lax and freespirited way, but as... it goes, I noticed that I didn't train them to face a life or death situation.
...It was a shameful, rookie mistake for someone who has gone through such crazy part of the world. It caused a mission to fail, and well... Aniki was wounded then. When I faced them, they're like "but everyone survived, that's what's the most important thing, right?" ...but no, it's not. He's... in critical state, and I blew my top off after hearing such a callous remark, causing some rift.
From that point on I felt like I have to ask more of these questions... to prevent myself from getting too happy at their growth, and to prevent something like that happened because they felt everything was fine because I'm satisfied with them. To speak it simply... I still can't find the balance between "happy for their growth" and "praise them" without bloating their ego. If I praise them as much as my heart told me to, I'm afraid when they failed my expectation it'll be similar situation to the past, you see...
....And well, when I asked you that same question despite you're not my disciple but my lover... That's when I noticed that it has gotten too out of control. That maybe I should trust my disciples more and... be more lenient."
Valt could felt that one, nothing that he can't handle though It's strange how Cassie is the one stronger compared to Ophi... is it related to how she have to use her muscles more to move? Regardless, Valt booped their snout together again and licked her cheek. "Yep, it also felt better to hug you like this~ Sure that it's easy to hug around you when I'm bigger, but when I'm more or less in same size as you, well... It's easier to have fun too."
Hmmmm.... actually, calling Ophi here might be...
"...You know I think I know why I felt like I'm not ready to snuggle with Ophi. It's because the situation is we're going to snuggle in your room. I think just like you guys who's not ready to sleep in places without your family, in my case I don't feel it's right to impose suddenly and sleep in your room. I guess it's just the alien feeling if you got what I mean? I think tomorrow it'll be better though. Maybe if tonight we can either sleep in this house or my room in the sanctum, I'll feel better about the prospect tomorrow?"

Cassie would be patient as Valt took the time to find his words; the little Gomamon-X slowly nuzzling against his torso all the whilst, in a reassuring fashion. It was okay, if he needed a minute; she'd give him all the time he needed to figure out what he wanted to say.
And once Valt did begin speaking, Cassie would listen closely; peering up to Valt attentively. She'd listen to him recount his personal shortcomings - in being lax and easily satisfied - as well as the mistakes that'd come as a result of it, leading to how he was now. As the recount progressed to Ryouta being hurt as a result of the disciple's carelessness, though... Her expression would become sympathetic - being able to quickly see why Valt was nervous; him not wanting it to happen a second time, with other disciples.
Nuzzling him again, Cassie would softly hum as she considered her own words, and processed Valt's words as well. "... I can see why you're nervous," She'd begin; her sympathy clear in her soft tone as well. "Tamers and their digimon... You guys seem to share close bonds like family, from what I've seen, so... Seeing Ryouta get hurt must've been really scary. I can understand why you'd be super worried about preventing something like that from happening again! Though..."
She'd pause briefly, exhaling softly through her nose. "... I think that you can still be strict, and ask questions, while also being able to show satisfaction with how they're doing so far; especially when they're able to answer all of those questions, and..." Another pause, longer this time as she further thought it all over. "... Maybe... If you're having trouble finding the balance... Maybe I could help out, somehow?" She'd suggest, glancing up to Valt, and offering an encouraging smile. "I imagine the balance kinda... Needs to be different for everyone, but... I think that it wouldn't hurt to still give them a 'Good Job' every once in awhile, yeah?"
Cassie was more than happy to return the cheeklick as it came, though; her tail wagging as she did. Though... For a second, she'd pause at the last bit of his remark, her head tilting a little. "Easier to have fun..?" She'd ask a bit; her brows briefly furrowing as she tried to parse what he must mean by it. "Like... Having fun playwrestling..?" That did seem like it'd be fun; she had yet to try playwrestling with anyone but Ophi and Lae, and they both weren't quite as physically strong as she was, so... Maybe she could playwrestle with Valt, some - he certainly seemed like he was a whole lot stronger, physically..!
At the suggestion of calling Ophelia here, and either snuggling here at his house - or in his room in the sanctum - though, Cassie would nod a bunch. "Sounds good to me, Valt..!" She'd chirp in response, smiling widely. "I'm happy either way, though I imagine snuggling here means you won't have to go out in the cold."

"It's not an exaggeration to say that I'm born for Aniki," Valt answered "I don't have any past life prior then. I'm just... Ryu the Dracomon, and that's my life. My first life is because of him, and well... he gave me a reason to be I guess. He's like a brother, part parent, part life partner... It's hard to describe. He's like another side of my coin that I can't live without. That's why I can't really tolerate any sort of mistakes made concerning him.
...I got someone who attacked him and I don't care it was misunderstanding, Up until now I still hate that bastard."
Hmmm, the idea of being balanced by Cassie though, Valt welcomed this. "...So you're my assistant huh?" Valt teased, poking Cassie's cheek teasingly. "I think our personality meshed well, that I think of it. You made me... calmer I guess? So, I definitely welcome that preposition, Cass. But hey, I can't unimagine this sight of you with wooden clipboard and paper, also whistle... heh~ Well, I'm expecting great things from you, Manager!"
....Phrasing is not a thing anymore apparently. He was rather sleepy that he ended up saying something like that... "Uh! I mean, it was cuddling. I don't know if I can playwrestle at all honestly. Though I imagine it would be fine roughhousing me a bit. I'm pretty strong myself."
Hmmm, what to do? "...Well, I guess let's as Ophi what she wanted to do. I'll just do the follow up?"

Cassie nodded along with Valt's answer; briefly thinking for a second, trying to imagine what it must be like to have a partner, to have a bond with someone like Valt does... It... Was hard to really imagine, though; the closest thing that she could think of being the bonds that she had with her family - the love, the trust, and the belonging she felt among her siblings, her Mom, and her Dad.... Well... Despite her feeling as though she wouldn't be able to properly picture it, she'd still nod a second time; chuckling in a lighthearted, warm fashion. "You care an awful lot about him, huh?" She'd muse; smiling up to Valt. "It's really nice, the idea that you have someone you can look after, and also be looked after by, like that..." Pausing for a second to consider her next words, before chuckling, she'd add to Valt "I hope that we can build a bond like that, too, with time; even if it would be a little different; eheh!"The teasing, though, would make Cassie giggle; smiling briefly as she rubbed her cheek. "I guess I am your assistant! Though moving around while having a clipboard in my hand would probably be a bit difficult.." She'd think of a second, before giggling a second time, adding "Having a whistle to blow sounds like it'd be fun, though!" She'd take a second to breathe in, before whistling to Valt, grinning widely and cheekily. "Oh! Cuddling makes sense," Cassie would remark in realization, before nodding and giggling. "I'd say cuddling is more relaxing than fun, though... But I think that us play wrestling and roughhousing sometime would be fun, if you're ever up for it..!" Having someone that might actually be able to stand up to her strength, too, would probably be nice...! At the suggestion to ask Ophelia, though, Cassie would nod and gesture in a salute with her flipper, before going to her bag - pulling out her D-Nexus, and tapping away at it with her claws as she moved back to Valt's lap. If he were to look over her shoulder, it was likely that he'd even be able to see their conversation. "hey cassie, where are you?" "heehee, sorry, ended up spending some time with valt! :D"
"we're at his house right now!" "haha, spending time at his house, huh?" ":?" "nevermind heh"
"ill let you two have your fun then" "actually! we were getting kinda sleepy, and..."
"i was wondering if you wanted to come snuggle?"
"that or meet us at his room in the sanctum?" "i thought valt didn't like being touchy feely n shit?" "he wants to get used to it!"
"but uhhhh"
"i wanna spend time with you and valt both, too, like family time!"
"i also sorta feel bad about not letting you know where we were :<" "haha alright"

"I mean we do have that bond right at the moment? If you're my mate, then I'll care a looot about you too~" Valt hugs Cassie and nuzzled her cheek. "Plus it's always my policy to always care about everyone I looked after for. You're included obviously, even if we're not at this stage yet. It'll be a little different sure. But even then, I think it'll be special in its own. I mean I don't love Aniki in romantic way, nah. But I do to you, right? So it's different, and both cannot be explained easily, and let's just say I'm in love with this cute seal beside me at the moment~"
Image of personal assistant Cassie... definitely looks cute though. Valt took something out of his infinistore and put it on Cassie's head. It's a trainer's cap. "Hehe, looks good on you~ And here goes," he gave her a whistle too. "...Yeah, now you looks really cute... ...actually, do you want to be a personal trainer for me? Even an experienced trainer like me need someone who can cheer him on."
Hmmm, roughhousing and wrestling... "Well, I don't really know how to play that, although I can play tickle~" Valt commented, wiggling his fingers in tickling manner. "So if you're up for wrestling, i might just tickle you ehehehe~"
Hmmm, well, now that Ophi is heading here, Valt decide to send her the address and such before she even asked. He sighed, not in exasperation or the bad kind, more like he seem to be truly in relaxing mood now. Once Cassie done tapping, he hugged her close again and nuzzled her cheek once more.
"....Today has been a bliss."

Cassie would blink a bit, as a cap was placed on her head; briefly taking it off so that she could look at it, tilting her head one way and then the other. Giggling, she'd put the cap back on, and take the whistle as well; her eyes lighting up a bit as she accepted it. The question of being Valt's personal trainer, though... It'd make Cassie think for a second. "I mean... I'm down to cheer you on! Though..." She'd first chirp to Valt; however, she'd also scratch her cheek, adding a bit sheepishly "I just dunno if I know how to teach you like you teach others, though... You seem sort of like you'd already know what you're doing, yaknow?"
Cassie couldn't help but laugh in a half-squeal, flippers pushing away Valt's wiggling fingers and grinning widely. "Nooo~...! No tickling!" She'd giggle; sounding less opposed to it than her words might otherwise imply. "And it's easy, it's just wrestling! Y'know, like this!" Cassie would attempt to push Valt over so that he was laying across the couch, before plopping herself atop his chest; tail wagging. "We'd wrestle and roughhouse like this all the time, in the snow; although I tended to be stronger than Ophi or Lae..." She'd pause a second, scratching her cheek, before adding "... And then they'd proceed to gang up on me as a result, eheh..!" as she moved to get off of him, so that he could sit back up.
Feeling Valt's arms around her though, she blinked a bit, before smiling up to Valt; letting out her own relaxed sigh, as she nuzzled him back. "Good..." She'd murmur in response; letting her eyes close briefly. "Today's just been... Really nice, spending it with you like this.." Turning her head a little, Cassie would lick Valt's cheek, before she'd settle down in his arms; briefly sighing thru her nose...
... It'd take a short while for Ophelia to arrive; but when she did, she'd proceed to... Just walk in, opening the front door. No knocking, no anything; the Spadamon seemed to still be figuring out more civilized manners. Cassie might be the same, too, for that matter; for she'd see nothing wrong with it. Instead, she'd smile brightly to Ophelia, and wave to her. "Hey Ophi!"
Ophelia would glance over to Valt and Cassie, and grin back; waving as she moved over. "Yo! This is a damn big den you got, Valt." She'd comment, hopping up to sit on the couch next to him. "I still don't get why civilized digimon need such big spaces n shit, though maybe it's just me." Ophelia remarked; scratching her cheek a bit. Granted, given what the two sisters were used to, anything bigger than a single room was probably huge for them.
"Eheheh; yeah, his home is pretty big. But I like it!" Cassie chirped; smiling up to Valt briefly, before glancing over to Ophelia and adding "And he's been thinking of making it even bigger!"
"Real shit?" Ophelia blinked a bit; glancing around the livingroom briefly. This room was already big enough for a nice and cozy den, she was pretty sure... "The hell's he gonna fit by making everything bigger..?" She'd question; scratching the back of her head.
This would prompt Cassie to flush a little, though... "Well... Valt is kind of, well... Thinking about if we ever have a family, he wants to make sure we have room for them to have their own space, too..!"
This would make Ophelia blink a bit at first - it seemed that she was just as surprised over Valt thinking things like this over this far in advance - though... A teasing grin would cross over Ophelia's expression, as she'd lean over to Cassie. "A family, huh~? My sister's got a mate who thinks of everything~!" She'd tease; gently pinching both of Cassie's cheeks! "How many kids is he thinking, hm~?"
The gentle pinches and Ophelia's teasing would make Cassie squeak though - softly squealing "Ophiiiii-" as her face got progressively redder.

"Hmmm, well, I do know what I'm doing, but I think as my assistant, it's important for you to know what's good and what's not too. Bad forms in training for example, then good forms, such things? Just so you know what to balance what I'm doing, like if I have to handle many disciples at once, my eyes will be swimming and well... I'd rather focus small amount of them. That's where I hope you can come in and sub for me and watches them you know? Though definitely not off bat."
Valt strokes Cassie's cheek yet again "I'll definitely help you out here and there, and... well, if you don't like it, just tell me, then you could just be my personal cheerleader. I want to impress you and whatnot, you know? Cause you impressed me a lot already~ Time to show what your future mate can do eh~?"
Oooh, now they're playwrestling? Valt let her finish her words and immediately grabbed her by the waist and rotated. Once he made sure that she's under him now, he would just lick her cheek several times lovingly. "Heh, this is the kind of wrestling that I know of~"
Today really has been a bliss. Valt nuzzled Cassie yet again, and he heard the door opened. Oh dear. So she's here already? Valt looked over the sofa and indeed found Ophi.
"Ay, it's fine if it's my house, but civilized Digimons prefers if you knocks the door softly, like this," Valt raps the table. He's worried that if he did not demonstrate that, Ophi might takes "knocks the door" like "knock it off its hinges. "That tells people inside of your presence. It's sort of like you guys and your territory I guess."
Something about Ophelia's words made Valt remembers that her room in Sanctuarium Unionis is very cramped normally for two person, but for her, that's enough. Cassie supposedly have her own room, but... She doesn't take it and instead is together with Ophi. The bond between the siblings are so strong that it seems their definition of privacy is less compared to those of a civilized Digimon.
...Valt was about to say something about privacy and all that when Ophi suddenly teased both her and Cassie about his plan. Valt embarrassedly just took the now empty snack bucket and pull it over his head while screaming a muffled scream over it in embarrassment.

Cassie nodded in understanding, as Valt explained wanting her to know the difference between good form, and bad form; as well as helping out handling multiple disciples. That all made sense to her; and Cassie certainly would like to learn! "I'd be more than happy to help, Valt!" She would respond; rubbing her cheek against Valt's hand, when he'd reach down to stroke her cheek. The mention of Valt wanting to show her what he could do, though, would prompt a brief flush at the thought of him showing off for her; and she'd nod a bit faster, seeming eager to see.
Cassie didn't seem to quite expect Valt to flip the both of them over as she did a brief bit of wrestling, though; squeaking briefly as he grabbed her waist, and rolled the both of them over on the couch, so that he was on top..! She'd be flushing once more, but had no real chance to be sheepish as Valt gave her a few licks; prompting a happy, playful giggle as she attempted to push back against him. "Eheheheh! No faiiiir~" She'd chirp teasingly, trying to retake control of the wrestle bout.
Ophelia would tilt her head a little at Valt, as the V-mon demonstrated knocking to her; nodding briefly, though seeming to only half get it... At least, until Valt compared it to one's own territory, and the Spadamon's eyes would light up in recognition; realizing that she just sort of waltzed into Valt's own 'territory'. "Oh, shit, sorry." She'd mention; making a brief face at her own misstep. "I suppose it sorta slipped my mind."
Even in all the teasing, though... It seemed that even Ophelia didn't expect Valt's reaction; blinking in a bewildered fashion as he proceeded to pull the snack bucket over his head, and scream into it..! She'd let out a surprised laugh, flopping backwards on the couch; remarking "Geez, talk about one hell of a reaction!" with a wide and lopsided grin. "You alright there, Valt? Can't say I've seen you react like this before, eheheh!"
Cassie, too, couldn't help but blink and giggle briefly; still a bit embarrassed, but otherwise unable to help but join in the relaxed and jolly atmosphere that Ophelia was bringing, as she gently pat Valt's shoulder. "I, uh... Don't think it'd be good for your scales if you scream into the snack bucket, Valt." She'd point out - given that it was probably a bit greasy on the inside, from the sausages.

"Hehe, that's settled then! Thanks for helping, Cass~" once again, Valt licked the Gomamon's cheek and gave her a boop on the nose with his own. Hmmm? Wait a minute, does she not mind with him showing off at her? So does this mean finally he can show off just like Ryouta did to Mana? Valt tried to hid his inner desires, but his tail is flailing a bit in excitement.
Valt let Cassie overpowers him a bit, but not enough to obviously looked like he's holding back, but he definitely gave her a wide, challenging grin, trying to check what would she do.
"Ohoh? Now while we're in this position, what would you do I wonder~ Better be quick or I'll tickle you again~~" Valt wiggled his fingers.
At any rate, to Ophelia's apology, Valt just waved it off with a smile. "It's fine, but just remember for civilized Digimon, even if you're family, they still prefer privacy. So it's best to knock and not enter until they said you may enter. Just remember that alright? But well, no harm done anyway today," Valt answered, giving the Spadamon a bit of a head scritches as a sign that he doesn't mind what happened prior.
He though is fine after that screaming.
"I can clean up my scales just fine... Unless you want to groom me some and lick me clean from that oil just now," Valt commented.

"'Course, Valt!" Cassie would giggle in response, smiling widely from the cheek lick and the boop, both of which she'd happily return. What really caught her attention, though, was the way that his tail was starting to wag as well; the Gomamon-X blinking a bit, before grinning a bit lopsidedly. "Eheheh; you wag your tail, too..!" She'd comment.
Once on top of Valt's chest, Cassie would blink as Valt wiggled his fingers, threatening to tickle her once more. She'd puff her cheeks up in what might've been a pout, or her thinking hard on something, pausing for a second... Before she suddenly got the idea, to try and start tickling Valt first! She'd reach down with the claws of her flippers to try tickling him like he had been tickling her; going on the offensive before he could!
Ophelia nodded in understanding to Valt's explanation, briefly purring as she tilted her head against Valt's touch; her tail contentedly swaying. "Yeahh, I'll rememberrr..." She'd purr briefly; seeming to be half-focused more on the scritches.
Valt's comment about licking the oil off of his scales, though, would make Ophelia giggle; still in a bit of a teasing mood, it seemed.
Cassie, though, would puff her cheeks at Ophelia briefly; seeming to be past being flustered, and instead being more than willing to prop herself up against Valt's torso, so that she could start grooming him...!
Cassie's initiative would surprise Ophelia a little, but she'd grin a bit in their direction; remarking "Good to see you two are hitting it off nicely, in any case."

"Hey, can't I get a bit excited about you watching me training? I mean, I'd really love that! I mean, I'm very prideful dragon, and well... being watched while training have this feeling of pride inside my heart, you know? Especially if you like it, then boy, I'd probably have no protest at all. I'd enjoy it a lot," Valt excused.
Still, that tickle attempt, Valt at first tried to hold his giggle. His cheeks puffing from the attempt to hold his laughter from escaping, yet it's futile as the tickle went more and more. Valt pretty much just let out his laughter, he can't even muster the strength to move now that he's tickled, but thankfully he's strong enough to tickle Cassie back.
Although Ophelia said that she'll remember, Valt felt that's probably not gonna be remembered with how she's focusing on the scritches instead. Even so, he decided to wave it off.
Cassie's tongue felt nice on his skin... but it gave him complicated feeling like as if he's a messy eater and she's trying to clean him up. But he asked for this, so he goes he's fine with it. He licked Cassie's mouth too, just to clean up whatever left there.
"Hmmm? I guess we does hits it off. Cass balanced the more impulsive me I guess~ And I love that a lot?"

"Eheheh~ you can get excited, Valt - I just think it's cute that your tail wags, too!" Cassie would chirp to Valt; nuzzling him, her own tail wagging. Though, a thought would prompt her to pause for a bit - mulling over it - before... "... In a way, you could say this is your courting display, huh?" She'd joke lightly; grinning sheepishly, but humorously, in Valt's direction.
As Valt began laughing, Cassie couldn't help a giggle of her own - pleased that her little gambit worked on Valt... At least, for now. What Cassie didn't seem to account for, though, was that Valt was capable of tickling while being tickled...! As the dragon began to tickle her back, she would make a startled half-squeal-half-yelp, before beginning to devolve into laughter as well.
So this was how he was going to play, huh? Cassie was more than willing to turn this tickle fight into a war of attrition; attempting to continue tickling Valt even whilst she was being tickled..!
As the duo would be licking each other, though... Ophelia couldn't help but make an amused smile - already a couple of teases coming to mind, but otherwise leaving them be.
Instead, with Valt's response, Ophelia would nod a bit; her tailtip twitching a bit as she thought for a second. "Yeah; I suppose Bu is a bit of a balancer for me in the same way, huh? It's surprising, how mild she gets when it's just her and me - considering that she can get as batshit as me sometimes - and she gets pretty damn sweet, too...!" She'd laugh a bit at that; grinning lopsidedly. "I'm happy to see that Cassie's got a nice mate, though. I trust you to take good care of her." Was this Ophelia basically giving Valt her blessings?
"Ophiii, I'm right here, you know," Cassie would butt in playfully; giving Ophelia a look, before chuckling a bit.
Ophelia would laugh with; remarking "Sorry, sorry; but still. You've got yourself a nice strong mate, right there!" as she ruffled the top of Cassie's head.

C-courting display? Honestly, if Valt wanted to court her,... "Actually if I want to court you, first I'll show off what I can do while training; second, I'll take you to a great dinner... third, I'll get you to a really romantic place where both of us can just relax while while the atmosphere felt really calming... Afterward, I'll probably just tell you how much I want you to be with me in this life."
...that sounds cheesy as all hell. "Actually, you know what? I'm a dork, and I'm proud of it."
The tickling thankfully died down soon with Valt just giving up. He's not too great with holding his laughter, and it made him very winded up too. After what happened before and the activities he does, his body just screamed for him to rest, so he called "uncle" first. Still, he didn't do it before he licks Cassie's cheek.
What's this? Did Ophi gave him her blessing? After letting Cassie done with him, Valt faced Ophi and sat formally. "Well, then... I'm asking this as an individual rather than a teacher to a student... it's a bit too early to fully go into it, but I'd like to date your sister, hopefully with marriage in very close future. I'd like to ask your permission for that if you don't mind. My vow is to love her as much and as long as our heart permits it. if I made her angry, upset, or sad, I'll do my best t resolve it immediately. If I were to be unfaithful to her, I'll take my own life. With this vow, I'd like you to directly bless us if you don't mind. If I have to prove something then I'll do whatever you say."
Is it too heavy? But for Valt, this is like a good chance to show his sincerity.

Cassie would flush a little, as Valt listed what he'd do for a courting display; smiling shyly, but warmly nonetheless, at hearing the different things that he'd do to truly court her. Even if Valt thought it was cheesy, Cassie honestly liked the sound of it all; and she'd nuzzle him. "Well... Even if you're a dork, you're my dork, right?" She'd ask; grinning cheekily up to Valt. After a moment of thought, though, Cassie would tilt her head against Valt's shoulder with a soft and relaxed sigh; adding "... That all sounds really nice, though..."
As the tickling began to die down, Cassie's face would be beaming with triumph; even past her laughter, tears in the corner of her eyes her eyes having welled up from how hard she had been laughing. Once Valt called uncle, she would let up immediately; simply giggling as she flopped across Valt's chest, lazily licking his cheek right back as she caught her breath. "Eheheh... See?" She'd pant out, smiling up to Valt. "Roughhousing can... can be fun..!"
As Valt turned towards Ophelia, and formally laid out his intentions to date - and perhaps even marry - Cassie, though... The Spadamon would blink a bit owlishly; seemingly not expecting such a formal and sincere presentation, and having to take a second to process everything that Valt just said.
Cassie, though, would look a bit more unsure - murmuring "No, uh... No taking your own life, please?" with a slight squeak to her tone. She certainly wouldn't want him to die, even if he did mess up in some big way!
As Ophelia managed to properly process Valt's words, as well as put together her own words, she'd scratch the back of her head - adding "Yeah, I uh... I dunno why you'd need to ask my permission for this. You've already proven yourself plenty, as far as I know. You're strong, you're kind, and you got this civilized shit figured out way more than either of us do; I was just saying that I trust that you'd be able to be a good mate for Cass."

Valt honestly could feel his temperature rising just from that words alone. He swore that he's so red that he's not even a Red Vmon but Bloodred Vmon. He looked away for a bit, then kisses Cassie on her lips. "...Yeah, I'm your dork, goddammit Cass why you have to be so cute...."
Roughhousing is fun, yeah. Valt can see why Cassie likes it. Honestly, if he's not in mood to rest today, he'll be the one who gonna make her call out uncle. But even so, losing like this is not bad at all. Valt gently ruffled her hair in affection. He also licked her cheek in return.
Hmmm, was that seriousness too much? Cassie would squeak something about telling him not to end his life... Well, he guess that's heavy, yeah. "Right, I guess as punishment I'll let you do anything to me, but I'm really serious at the moment you know, I mean, not the life taking part. I mean more to I'm serious if I hurt you or causes you sadness, I'll make it up to you in any way you want."
Why asking Ophelia for permission? "There's formalities in this, Ophi. For us civilized Digimon, by asking the siblings, the family, we're basically asking permission to be part of their family. If you just married someone without asking permission of their family, it's almost like you're either intruding the family by forcing yourself in, or alienating the family. I don't want that, and while I understand you are happy about me and Cassie's budding relationship, I'm intending to treat you as my family too, and that's why I'm asking you formally like this."
Is that explanation enough?
"Well, either way, just treat it as my sign of respect to you."
