A Chilling Tale [Spirit Hunt with Johan]

When Johan pulled himself out of the water, he felt something was off. He took a look at his left arm, which was missing the hand piece and whatever was left of it was a mess of wires. Guess he took a pretty hard fall on that arm. "Ah, bollocks... the bionic arm's busted. I'll be working with one hand for now, it seems."
Yaku began jogging in place as he started to apologize, believing that everything went wrong because of him. Johan shook his head. "Yaku, this isn't your fault. Bad luck happens to everyone, it doesn't happen because of one single person. I don't believe jinxes exist, you know."
Yaku mentioned heating pads being in the briefcase. Johan took a bit longer than usual to open it up thanks to his one arm, but once he did he tossed a heating pad to Yaku before grabbing another one for himself. "You need one of these as well, don't you?"
Johan got his bearings in order before looking around the area. "Maybe we're still on track for your spirit. Do you see a tunnel or a cave anywhere, Yaku?"

Finishing his stretching, the man shook off his shed clothing and put them back on and activated the heating pad, hoping that enough time had passed before he realized something. He dug frantically through the various pockets, breathing heavily as the phone refused to show itself. "No no no, no no no no!" He shouted frantically as he began shaking the closed again, knocking some spare change and a few pieces of paper loose. "...Oh no..." He turned to look in the water, the aquatic digimon still skimming the surface as he stared down. "Is that a light or just a reflection on the water?" He asked his friend, pointing down into the water, where there was, indeed, a light.
"...Dammit." He sighed and adjusted his (shockingly not gone) hairpiece, and cleaned off his glasses. "On the plus side, we have some locals. We can just ask them for help instead of... you know... getting the phone back on our own. Which would be a death sentence..." He gulped and wondered how deep the water went. He began splashing the water, trying to attract attention. Eventually, a divemon rose up, glaring at the two. "What? We're trying to hibernate down here!"

Alright, the two of them seemed to have a handle on things. They are now mostly warmed up and Dokamon was now running off to go search for help. Sure, Johan's bionic arm was busted, but he knew how to get by with only his right arm, so it wasn't too big of a loss. All seemed okay... until Yaku started rummaging through his backpack frantically.
"What's wrong?" Johan had asked. All the fellow agent kept saying was "Oh no, oh no, oh no," and that doesn't really give any straight answers. He looked down at the water and asked Johan if he could see a light at the bottom. Johan looked, and of course he did. Now everything made sense. "That's your phone, isn't it?"
Yaku suggested asking the locals for help rather than dive down to get the phone since neither of them really wanted to be a human popsicle, so Johan didn't see anything too wrong with it. Yaku splashed the water for a while before a Divemon had showed up. Johan cleared his throat. "Er, hello there! We dropped something and we really need it back. Could you possibly help us out? It's the glowing thing at the bottom of the water."

The digimon looked skeptical at the two, then down at the phone under the water. "I see... you want that uh... what do you humans call it-" "Cell phone." "And what's in it for me?" Yaku sighed and dug out his wallet, knowing exactly 1 of 2 places where the mon was going with this. The mon just snatched the wallet and grabbed the bills himself, tossing it back. "I was gonna ask for a sandwich but that's nice too."
Before Yaku could try to grab back his hard earned bits, the mon was underwater, splashing the two humans for good measure. Defeated, he sat down and grabbed his wallet back. "Digimon tend not to like me..." He sighed. "Or people... or you know. I'm sorry about earlier. And I'm sorry for apologizing too much. It's all I can do." He backed away from the water and turned back to Johan. "So uh... your partner, Dokamon. How do you figure we'll get back to him? Because we're really sitting ducks." He double-checked to make sure his prosthetic was still in one piece. "...You think AEGIS will reimburse me for that grappling hook?" He asked, looking hopeful up into the higher levels of the caverns.

Of course like any good samaritan, the Divemon requested payment before going to do a favor for the two humans. Yaku pulled out his wallet, only for Divemon to snatch it and take the bills himself before giving it back, commenting that he was only going to ask for a sandwich.
Well considering we don't HAVE any sandwiches...
The Divemon then... well, dove back underwater, splashing Johan and Yaku in the process. The young agent coughed. "Bloody hell, we just got dry, too..." Yaku grabbed his wallet, saying that Digimon tended to not like him. "Most Digimon tend to be grade-A assholes too, just like humans. It's a matter of finding the right ones, no?"
It was clear that things were not going good for the two agents at this point in time. They fell down the depths of the cavern, got completely wet, and Johan's prosthetic arm was destroyed. Yet despite what Yaku was thinking, Johan didn't blame him for any of it. Shit like this just happens, to the fault of no one, at least that's how Johan saw it.
Yaku asked how they would get back to Dokamon. "Ideally, he would contact someone at AEGIS, probably Speed and Psych. If I'm right they should be here very soon to help us out. And if I'm wrong..." Johan looked at his destroyed fake arm. "If I had the tools I could be able to fix my arm in a jiffy. Gotta remember to bring tools along with me on adventures."

"Yeah, I found a few nice ones in my time... a nice family who took me in as their own to work in their restaurant." He smiled, nostalgic. But that's a bit irrelevant." He pocketed the wallet and listened to his companion speak. "...Hm... if you did bring your tools, wouldn't you have just lost them in the water or left them with Dokamon too?" He pointed out.
The Divemon returned, looking annoyed. "Hey uh, I dunno how this is working but that thing ain't happy at being touched, bright light, angry searing pain... you want it so bad get it your danged self." The mon dove away, conveniently 'forgetting' to give Yaku his money back. The man didn't seemed too bothered though, as his mind was on something else he said. "Glowing? Maybe this wasn't an accident... maybe the spirit totem is under the water?" He looked to Johan. "S-surely that means I have to go down and retrieve it though..." He gulped. "But the spirit would protect me, right?" He didn't sound convinced, nor did his face draining of color or his shaking ankles, but he took a few shaky steps towards the water, regardless.

Johan looked at Yaku when he asked his question about just losing the tools anyways, or leaving them with Dokamon. The young man shook his head, reaching into his pocket and taking out a small box. "Infini-Store. I usually keep my tools in here but I left them on my desk last night working on something else. That'll teach me to not stay up until three in the morning, at least."
He put away his Infini-Store when the Divemon came back up. Not only did he back out of the agreement they had, but he also just kept the money anyways. In a small fit of anger, Johan took off his shoe and chucked it at the Divemon while it swam away, missing it entirely and sinking into the water. "YOU THIEVING KNOB! GET BACK HERE!!!" When it was clear that the Divemon would not return, Johan let out a deep sigh as he sat back down on the ice. "Well that was a bust. Let's just wait for Dokamon to get back.
Yaku was thinking more about what exactly the Divemon said, suggesting that the spirit totem may be underneath the water. Of course, that would mean having to go back into the cold, cold water once again. While Johan started to think of a way they could go back into the water and NOT die of hypothermia, a familiar Digimon showed up in the blink of an eye. "Johan! Are you alright?!"
"Speed!" The teen cheered. "See Yaku, Dokamon did bring help!"
"I can easily bring you guys back up. Just hold tight and-"
"Wait, hold on, the thing we came for, it's at the bottom of the water!"
"Hm... give me a sec," Speed said before zooming off back up the cavern. About twenty seconds later he would come back down and give Johan a clip-like device. "Dokamon thought you might need this. It's somethin' called an EV Suit, apparently it helps you humans not be overly cold in the water?"
