“S-Slang!?” Wasn’t she supposed to be an empress? How could this digimon use such foul words to refer to the Wind Warrior! While it was true Arianna didn’t seem to understand the lack of respect Priere showed towards her figure, she seemed to be slowly getting used to the fact this is just how she treated... well, everyone. She was just… like that. “I already told you I’m not old!” How was she going to fuse with someone whose butt she often wanted to kick, though!?
On her own front, Jazz showed a smirk to Anzu, reassuringly looking into her eyes. It was going to be okay. She was going to always do her best so it was!
Despite the obvious differences in attitude they bestowed, Priere and Arianna continued their exchange. It seemed like they were getting used to this kind of twisted dynamic they maintained. “W-Well…!” It also seemed, however, that the former gangster-nun had mentioned something that made the fairy a bit flustered. “… Fei’s condition is… complicated. Unlike us, she has not… ‘lived long’ because she has died in the past and reformed or because she has been absent from the world for years like me.”
Jazz, who knew this story only partially –considering she wasn’t there when it was told- listened to it closely.
After clearing up her throat, Arianna continued. “She literally cannot die. It is impossible for her to be eliminated or her data to disintegrate. It just can't be done.” The holosuited Lopmon’s eyes widened slowly. “Her data is different. It was modified. And by having been modified, I assume it is…”
“Heavily unstable.” Jazz finished that idea. If there was something she had learned in this adventure was that digimon whose data had been modified were… very special.
A nod coming from the fairy reassured this thought. “Therefore, I’m scared fusing with her might mess up her carefully built data or… mine.” That seemed like a fair preoccupation. “I guess I could fuse with Jazz but… I don’t know how good would she be finding those memories once we’ve become one.” The brunette would probably admit not too good! “And… as you mentioned yourself, I don’t have many other friends to count on.” Not to mention any.
Except…
“What about this other ancient fairy…?”
Jazz would be quickly interrupted by Arianna herself. “I-I would never ask Titania to fuse with me! She now has a tamer and her own troubles!” The Fairymon seemed pretty certain about that.
“A-Are you… jealous?”
In all honesty? Katherine wished she and Jazz had gotten a saying in whether they wanted to go to this place or not. But, at the same time, she felt going there had turned her into who she was today. It had made her stronger. That much couldn’t be denied.
“Right.” Healing instead of hurting, simple enough, right? No more kisses, though. That was Katherine's main condition. A nod accompanied that sentence, just before Katherine took a sip of her float and returned that hug to Akemi. For accomplishing this hug, Akemi would have to leave her body rest on the curly-haired, who was still leaning against the counter. It definitely felt nice.
Regarding Akemi’s question… it was definitely something Katherine would want to talk about eventually. All of the digimon she met over there. All of the experience she gathered. All of the things she learned. It was definitely something that had to be discussed eventually. Not today, though. She just needed some… peace.
“I’ll tell you about it in due time.” She definitely would. “By... t-this... you mean… the hug?” She asked while still keeping her arms wrapped around Akemi’s waist. “Of course it is. Why wouldn’t it?” It was just a hug! They had always hugged, hadn’t them?

"I sincerely do not believe you! Though, I will say you do look cute for your age." Was Priere having fun trying to rile up Arianna? Maybe, maybe not. Was she trying to flirt with her? Nobody knew. The one person who might know that was currently out getting sushi. With some frenchwoman.
"Ahhhh, so she's immortal." Priere nodded. "A peculiar condition, given we Digimon can reincarnate upon death, but...what caused her data to become like that? What makes it so unstable?" She was not quite familiar with Fei, truth be told, but she wanted to know more about her.
It was a perfectly reasonable fear to have, though. Priere opted to attempt applying a pat on the shoulder to reassure the fairy. "I mean, you do have me. We could attempt that, but I doubt I'd be much better than Anzu at finding such memories. If she's even good at that."
...Who was this fairy? Anzu decided to press this line of questioning now. "...Why not? You two seemed like old friends. Why would her having a tamer affect this?" The bean took a pause. "In fact...How do you two know each other? Where'd you meet? How'd you become friends? It was a start. It wasn't all of what Akemi wanted out of this, but...it was a start towards fixing this mess. Healing the hurt, as they had put it. She was perfectly fine with leaning against Kath. In fact, she wanted to do that in the first place! It's not her fault Kath was the softest girl in the room!
"O-Okay. And yes! I...I don't know, I...I think I'm just being antsy. G-Given what we were just talking about..." She trailed off, seeming to visibly relax in Kath's embrace. "H-Hey, do you want to watch anything on the TV?" Akemi inquired, before she realized something. "A-Actually, do you watch anything in particular on the TV at all? J-Just curious." She had never asked about this before, and she was probably right to inquire now, given she wanted to know everything she could about Katherine. Something about her was so...interesting to her.
Otherwise? She made a content noise in the Spaniard's arms. It could probably melt someone's brain from how adorable it sounded.

“Well you must!” A stump on the floor and blushed cheeks, Arianna kept trying to defend the fact that ‘old’ was not a word that could be used to describe her. “Of course I look cute! I look nonoroku stunning.” Arianna swiftly twirled her index finger around her hair and winked before… listening to the rest of that sentence. “Uggh.”
Jazz, an undyingly curious creature as she was, seemed very interested in Fei’s condition, though. After listening to Priere’s question, she tried to provide her own answer. “It has to do with what happened after you guys arrived at the Drum Sanctuary, right?” She squinted. They were now treading in a very serious topic, and the eyes of the holosuited bunny denoted just that.
“Right.” This time, Arianna’s lips wrinkled. “Long story short, she died during that battle. Like, really dead. No way to bring her back or for her to be reborn.” Jazz lowered her gaze. Maybe she already knew this, but it was still painful to hear it. “I and the rest of the warriors in our group got trapped inside the Zoid Gems in order to bring her back to life. However, the Sanctuary also took the soul of the one who had brought all of us together. The one she loved.”
“Arianna…” Lifting up her gaze again, Jazz glared firmly at the fairy. “… You want someone to fuse with you… so they can recover your memories about the location of the Drum Sanctuary, right?” Jazz’s voice sounded heavy and serious.
A sigh was the only answer Arianna offered. Then, a dim smirk appeared on her lips, once Priere touched her shoulder and offered her some words. “Thanks, Empress.”
Arianna did seem sure about something. “N-no! There’s no nonoroku way I’ll accept Titania after she abandoned me!” Another stump on the floor! “She and I met in the forest, centuries ago, before I got trapped in the gem. But now she has a tamer who she fused with. She has her own life and forgot about me. G-Gosh, I heard Boru say she even has a girlfriend now!”
“T-This is mainly about the girlfriend, isn’t it?” Jazz murmured. “I think Titania broke some type of pact human women hold. I heard it in a movie. Something about sisters and misters, I believe.” She added, still murmuring, but looking at Anzu now. She probably knew that phrase, since she was always familiarized with Human World memes.
Just as Akemi was fine with leaning against Katherine, the green-eyed was perfectly fine with having her much shorter best friend leaning against her. She took another sip of her float while she listened to the hatted girl talk during a hug that was a lot longer than expected. But that was… fine, she guessed.
“R-Right.” She giggled for a second or two. “Don’t worry.” With that, Katherine tried to dismiss any preoccupation Akemi could have about hugging her.
“We can watch whatever you want. I am not a big fan of watching TV, actually.” She offered an answer to her friend’s question. “… I feel movies are too long and… I don’t really have the patience to sit through one. While I also have trouble following series. I… usually lose interest very soon.” Didn’t she have the Undying Curiosity to know how they finished? Apparently, Katherine was a lot more interested in real-life mysteries.
“Whenever I get to watch something long I… prefer watching documentaries. Although I know most people would consider those kind of boring.” Well, yes! Real-life mysteries being solved. That was something that could interest her a lot more. “What about you? What do you like to watch?”
Right after issuing that last question, a sound reached Katherine. One she definitely could not ignore. A snicker ensued. “Are you comfy?” She wondered.

"What does nonoroku even mean, huh?" Priere questioned, with a raised eyebrow. "Is it just some old people term?" Did Priere even care about the fact she was probably causing Arianna to have a digital aneurysm? Probably not, that would imply Priere cared about such notions in the first place. That, or she was having way too much fun watching Arianna squirm.
Of course, the quick shift to a more serious topic caused both Priere and Anzu alike to shift to a composure best denoted as more serious. It was...something, alright. "That...sounds rough. A huge loss like that...But at the same time, it sounds like nothing short of a miracle, even if it imprisoned you within the gems." The bean uttered.
"I could...try finding your memories about that. If we could even fuse." Priere started, before she trailed off....Before she concluded. "It's worth trying. I think. I...I'm genuinely uncertain."
On the subject of Titania, though?
"...I don't know her that well, but she seems to think you disappeared. That...doesn't count as abandoning, I think. Have...Have you tried actually talking to her since then?" Anzu then quieted down to speak to Jazz. "I...Uh. If it's a girlfriend, isn't it still a sister? Besides, I think she mentioned a daughter during the whole Terminus bit..."
Priere glanced in the direction of the entrance. "...This is an odd conversation to be having here." This was probably the most relaxed that Akemi had felt in some time. But, some of what Kath had said ended up piquing interest from Akemi, namely her own undying curiosity. In her endeavor to learn? She...found something interesting.
Katherine and Akemi had similar habits when it came to watching TV. In that it was rare. "I...uh. I have a similar issue. I can usually watch one or two movies with enough effort, and I can usually start a series, but...I'm not known for finishing either, too. It has to be really interesting to keep me for the whole ride, if that makes sense."
But then...!
Akemi shook her head quite a bit! "I love documentaries too! They're actually very interesting!" The mysteries of real-life were something she could actually look up and learn more about if it interested her enough within the documentary proper. That was her main reason for this odd preference. "W-We should watch one together!" That should probably answer Kath's first question.
As for that second one? Akemi's face flushed a rosy pink. "...I-I am, actually. I'm really comfy. You...You feel great to hug."

It seemed like Arianna was actually glad Priere had asked about her favorite word in any language! "Well, you can actually use nonoroku as basically any-" As usual, however, the nun's second input just made the Wind Warrior ANGRY. "Ugh! I don't want to tell you anymore." Enough of being called old! The fairy folded her arms and just looked away from the former cat.
It didn't seem like the Fairymon was any interested in continue to discuss Fei's situation though. Whether it was for her friend's privacy or her own desire to keep those memories away, she was done with it.
Instead, she focused on what Priere expressed next. Before she could say anything about it, Jazz seemed to have a much relevant piece of info to offer. "I think you would need to develop a tight bond before being able to DNA successfully. Your minds and bodies need to be connected." The holosuited bunny explained, basically transferring her own experience and the information provided by Bastian to them.
Not much to say about the obvious jealously Arianna maintained towards the new friends Titania had. It was likely they eventually had the chance to clear things up. Until then, Arianna was NOT yielding. Titania had totally forgotten about her! Or... Something.
"Well, it's your house. Where should we go?" Both Jazz and Arianna issued this question, almost in unison. If they found weird they were talking here, they should lead the way! Or maybe... change the topic?
It was definitely interesting both Katherine and Akemi suffered from the same lack of interest towards conventional media. "Yes. Definitely. I usually don't even have the determination to start a series, but I get the not being interested enough to finish it too." That was true! However. "That being said, If you had a special movie in mind for us to watch, I'd be okay with watching that. I was just pointing out why it's not something I know much about." The green-eyed explained.
After taking another sip of the float and listening to her friend's input, Katherine nodded. "Okay! I would be okay with that too." A smile decorated the raven-haired girl's face. "Do you... Mean like, right now?" Well, that sounded like some interesting way of spending time together so... Why not? It didn't sound extremely amusing, but not bad either.
Another giggle escaped Katherine as Akemi maintained that hug. "Thank you." She nodded in a timid manner. "I don't think someone had ever said that to me."

"As any...?" As any word? Anything? Priere felt like she had the gist of the term, but it would have appeared her teasing had pushed Arianna's boomer button (let's call it that for the moment, there could be a better term out there) a few too many times. "Exactly! The term's Joint-Progress for a reason, you know? ...At least I think that's what Jogress comes from? I...uh. I hate to admit it but I'm not infallible, you know."
While Anzu seemed a bit frustrated at Arianna refusing to budge on this...subject of jealously, she felt like she could at least empathize a bit. But at the same time? She had been gone for a long time. Of course Titania was going to make new friends. She had her own life to live, did she not?
"...This isn't my house, I just freeload in exchange for keeping trespassers out." Priere clarify.
"This isn't my house, I just freeload and look through Akemi's things when I'm bored. Did you know she has a...a..kigu...kigurumi? The funny animal suit pajama things. Anyways! I have an amazing suggestion. Either one of the girls' rooms...Or the backyard."
Anzu had doled out her suggestions. Now it was up to the girls (particularly Jazz) to make a choice. "...Also do any of you like pizza? I wanna order some!" YEP. She was looking right at Jazz when she asked the pizza question.
"I guess most conventional media doesn't...really interest us, does it?" Akemi wondered out loud. Did she have a special movie in mind? Hmmm, no, not really. She did want to ask if Kath did, though. "Do you? Er. Actually, let me rephrase. Do you have any movies that are special to you?"
Katherine was a world-traveler. She ought to know SOME interesting films!
"Well, it's the truth. People should say it more!" Akemi's grip on the hug tightened a bit before she loosened up. "...I'd...want to go watch a documentary right now, but there's still a few things that are bothering me. So...maybe not right right now." Okay. Where...should she start here? "So, we're...endeavoring to heal, first and foremost, right? Where...does that leave me? What should I do? A-Actually, what can I do?"
Vague as it was, it was worth noting that Akemi didn't...sound anxious out of her mind when talking about that anymore.
She was pretty sure she had a good guess on the answer, though. These were two best friends, right? What did they do best?
Be friends.
But at the same time, Akemi wanted something that could confirm that.

For now, it seemed like the conversation between the digimon still had a lot of entertaining bits to look into!
Well, Arianna was not going to explain what ‘nonoroku’ meant to Priere right now! She was not worthy! Not after she called her old so many times! For now, she just focused on the interesting and not totally offensive part of her input. Folding her arms, the fairy nodded a few times. “I can definitely tell you’re not infallible.” She had been calling her, a precious and young lady, ‘old’ during the whole day, after all! “But that is an interesting concept. I had never thought about it that way.”
“So what we did was… progressing?” Jazz concluded that sentence by tilting her head and staring at Anzu for a second before the topic quickly drifted to another one. “Of course this is your house!” The holosuited bunny remarked. “If not, what is your house?” Although Rustport was her home, she felt Katherine’s house was too! So Anzu had to feel the same about Akemi’s, right?
“A… s-suit p-pajama!?” Were Arianna’s eyes GLOWING!? The fairy seemed fairly excited about this sentence. Why was that?
Well, Jazz would probably provide a good explanation. “She's been wanting to try one of those for a while after seeing them in a TV show.” The bunny admitted by letting out a sigh. “She seems to find fascinating the idea of humans using special clothes for sleeping.” She couldn’t say it wasn’t something that caught her off guard at first too, though!
“I’ve been trying to conjure one myself, but I can’t create clothes I have never touched before since I can’t replicate the fabric.” That somehow made… sense? “C-Can we go see the pajamas? Please!” She was SQUEEZING ANZU’S HANDS TIGHTLY NOW.
While Jazz would rather trying some human food she had never tried before, she was more than aware that those options were running out as she spent more time with Katherine. “Sure.” She nodded while smiling. “I like pizza. Arianna hasn’t eaten that yet.”
It seemed like, from all the questions Akemi had posited throughout the evening, this was probably the hardest for Katherine. “A movie that’s special to me…” She muttered while looking up with a rather pensive expression. “When I was a kid, I loved this movie about pirates where some young girl had to find a hidden treasure to clean her dad’s name.” The Spaniard giggled at the end of that sentence. “I remember me and my cousin asking dad if we could be pirates. We were kind of disappointed when finding out real-life pirates aren’t as fun as in movies.” She admitted.
Well, although she had trailed off during that thought, she had provided some info about herself, hadn’t she? “S-Sure. Go ahead.” The green-eyed nodded once Akemi separated. It was good that they talked everything out right now. Even if it was an awkward topic… it shouldn’t be! They were best friends, after all.
“Well… I don’t think you have to do anything special. Not… kissing sounds like a good start. I think we’ll be able to go back to having a regular friendship after some time. Just like what we had when we met Nei. Things were a lot simpler back then… I feel.” Her expression denoted a bit of discomfort while she closing that thought. Then, Katherine took the last zip of her float before adding something else. “I just want us both to feel good again and… just let some of the things that happened behind for good.”

"I tried reading up on the term once." Ignoring the fact that Priere was absolutely certain she had gone a touch too far...They did hit something interesting in regards to the conversation. Anzu nodded. "I...think? It certainly felt like we both made progress in some regard...You were awfully cooperative for someone who was claiming to be my rival at the time." Anzu teased, a smirk forming on her face.
"Well...I'm starting to consider it a home rather than a 'place I live in because my tamer's too nice.' Does that count? Otherwise...um...I don't have a home. At least not in the Digital World. I've not had a home in a long time." Anzu admitted, the smirk fading as quickly as it had come.
"Yeah, a furry suit pajama. It looked kind of funny when we found it." Priere tilted her head at the Kazemon. Why was this of all things what interested her so? She then nodded towards Jazz, seeming to accept that explanation. "I thought it was odd, myself. But...Everyone in this house seems to enjoy it? So I can't quite fault them for that..."
Anzu meanwhile glanced towards Jazz with a pleading-for-help-esque look in her eyes, as Arianna squeezed the life out of her hands. "Pi-Pizza it is, then! Uh..." She tried to get at least one of her hands free from the Kazemon, before she'd get a small...idea of sorts, should she succeed. The moment one of her hands was free? She'd move to take Jazz's hand, too. "Ah. Handholding. The maneuver for degenerates." Priere muttered quietly.
Undeterred, Anzu gave Jazz a smile and wordlessly started to lead her (and Arianna!) towards and up a flight of stairs. That flight ended in a hallway, where there were...three doors! It was pretty easy to see which room was Akemi's, which was her sister's, and which belonged to her parents.
"Take your pick, uh...I'll just use whichever phone's in there for the pizza."
Was this question actually that hard for the green-eyed to answer? Seemed like it. While Akemi could probably try taking a guess or two at what this movie was, there was one particular part of that question she zeroed in on immediately.
"You...have a cousin?" She inquired, with a tilt of the head.
Well, it was pretty clear what Akemi had wanted to learn about Kath next. Or, in this particular case? Her cousin (that had only been in one thread, but we don't talk about that.)
Onto more important matters...Well, not kissing sounded simple enough. "W-Well, yeah. I think that's...where we started." Did that statement even make sense...? She really just wanted to get past that fucking mistake already. Put things back together.
"I-I want that too. I want to help you get better just as much as I...want to put the bad behind us. Just...being around you makes me feel good, at least..." Noting that brief bit of discomfort, though... "...I-Is everything alright? Do you want another drink...?"

Instead of reacting poorly to Anzu’s tease, Jazz giggled. “Well, while Cho-Hakkaimon is a lot more competitive than I am, I still consider you my rival, you know?” She confessed with a smile. “I think becoming stronger is something I need to do. And you have always been stronger than me so… having you as someone to look up to is probably positive.” Although it didn’t have the amount of raging energy her pig-girl form showed, it seemed like Jazz’s mindset about that hadn’t changed too much.
“You do have a home.” With a pouty expression, the holosuited bunny remarked. She seemed serious about this! “Akemi will feel bad if you tell her this place isn’t your home. At least I know Katherine would. After all…”
The next sentence was said in unison by both Jazz and Arianna.
“… Home is wherever the people who love you is.”
After that showing of unwanted synchronicity, Jazz blushed and Arianna chuckled.
“I taught her that.” The fairy noted
With the reasons for Arianna’s curiosity about pajama’s cleared and the decision of ordering pizza taken, both Jazz and the Fairymon were dragged upstairs by Anzu, who seemed interested in showing them something.
“W-Wait…” The purple-haired fairy actually tried to stop the determined bean, but it was of no use. When they got upstairs, Jazz was… blushing a little bit.
“...Take our pick?” The holosuited bunny tilted her head, looking at the three doors. “Why would we do that?” Was there anything of interest in either Akemi’s sister or her parents’ room?
“Well!” It didn’t seem like Arianna was planning to question that for long. "I take the one with the pajama suits, wherever they are!"
´Based on Katherine’s initial reaction, it seemed like Akemi’s question was a bit… off for her. “Well… yes. I have four. Don’t you have cousins?” She questioned, blinking repeatedly. Was having a cousin something uncommon? Didn’t most people have at least one cousin? Or was it just that her family was too big?
“It makes me… feel good too.” Katherine admitted. Although she had previously not been very vocal about how she felt about Akemi in order to not confuse her (or both of them, for that matter), the green-eyed decided to let the Amaya know something. Or… maybe not. Maybe it just came out naturally. “It’s more than making me feel good.” She added before letting out a sigh. “I need you, Akemi. I need you to be here because I can’t be okay without you. You’re my best friend, I want you to always be around.”
And that was the sole truth.
“Everything is okay.” Going back to the rest of the conversation, Katherine replied by delivering a firm nod. “… Uhm. Well…” Those green eyes drifted towards the float while Katherine separated a bit from that counter she was leaning on. She took a last zip, the straw making a sound that denoted it was almost empty. “I’m done with this. So if you want to serve something else, I’m okay with that.”

"Awww...I never knew I had such an adorable rival~" Somehow, Jazz had managed to make it so that Anzu's teasing grew worse, and the disguised bean wound up letting out a rather mischievous giggle as she dragged the two pretty girls up the stairs! Was she enjoying herself?
That shouldn't even be a question. With that show of synchronicity, though...Anzu found herself staring at Jazz, specifically, before she reached out to lay a hand on her cheek. "...Warm." She muttered before she reached up to pat her on the head. "So, my home's right here then, isn't it?" The Tsukaimon told Jazz, a small smile gracing her face.
...Anzu smiling looked weird, probably.
"I just thought you'd want to see all the rooms! Buuut...if you want those suits so badly..." She finally got away from Jazz, before she moved over to the door that led to Akemi's room.
And she opened it.
Akemi had left the lights off, so there wasn't much to see at the moment, but it looked...pretty normal for something in a house like this? Who knows. Arianna would need to be brave and go inside to see.
In the meantime, Priere had ascended the stairs. "Well? Gonna go get those pajamas you want so bad?" The question may have seemed strange to Akemi, but she...didn't have much in the way of cousins. Literally just one, and they didn't even enjoy talking to the family all that much! Then again, such was the case for that entire branch of their family...
So, four cousins was far more than just one. "I-I do, but only a quarter of that. You have four and you talk to them all...? Can I meet them someday?" The Amaya looked quite hopeful at this. Eyes gleaming and all!
What Katherine admitted next, however, did catch Akemi completely off-guard. It didn't necessarily confuse her, at least she THOUGHT that it didn't, considering she felt...very similarly towards the Spaniard right now.
But how could she vocalize that? Before long, Akemi found herself taking Kath's hands...before she went and pulled the Spaniard down into a hug. "Me too." She added after a brief silence. "I...I need you too. The thought of being without you's...maddening. I legitimately...can't imagine anything without you in it, without you close to me. I don't know if there's even a way for me to describe how much I absolutely adore your company and...everything else about you. I just...I just know I want you close to me. I just know I want to see the prettiest girl in the room, if not the world happy again."
And with that...
"...I'm glad everything's okay. I'd feel awful if my best friend felt otherwise."
Did she want to serve something else?
"I'll get to that in a bit. Promise." Just hold me. Please.

“I-I don’t think to call your rival 'adorable' is fitting with what being a rival means!” Her cheeks getting a rosier tone, Jazz clarified what was… probably true, actually. Not like it bothered her. However, Anzu would probably tell it was quite easy to tease her.
To the holosuited bean’s next gesture, Jazz only let out a very audible squeal. It sounded quite different from a regular one, though. It was the mixture of a gasp with the squeak of someone who had been taken by surprise. Oh, god. She was just a blushy mess right now.
To Priere’s question? Arianna would deliver her answer by rising up a clenched fist and shouting aloud her order. “Let’s get those pajamas!”
With that, the fairy went into the room. Not much to say about it right now. Not until she flicked that switch on and went scouting for the pajamas. Would she find anything else of interest in her quest? She was definitely not the frisking type, so whatever caught her attention, it would have to be exposed from the beginning.
Meanwhile, Jazz placed an index finger on her own lower lip and tilted her head. “Now that I think about it… I’m curious to see how the bedroom of a human girl that’s not Kath is.” With that, she walked inside too.
About the cousin’s matter, Katherine seemed a bit puzzled upon facing Akemi’s question. The reason was that she didn’t keep in touch with said cousins anymore.
“I’ve never been too close to any of them, honestly. At least not since I was little.” The green-eyed wrinkled her mouth. “They all live in different countries. Well… except for one.” Before adding this last piece of info, she seemed to remember something she had learned not long ago. “My mom recently told me one of them is in Japan, which is something I didn’t know about. She’s the one I used to watch pirate movies with, actually.” Where could she be? Did Katherine have time for a short family meeting? “Maybe I should find a way of talking to her…”
That train of thought would be promptly left to a side, mainly because Akemi seemed moved about what Katherine had told her after. A dim smile appeared on her lips while she hugged her friend back. A bit flabbergasted at the rest of her words, she just wrapped her arms around Akemi and blushed. She blushed a lot. “That’s… very sweet.”
In all honesty? For a moment, in the Dogma Tower, Katherine had thought she would never, ever see Akemi or any of her friends again. The fact that she had to experience that disastrous scenario the Amaya was describing right now was… Ugh. The Spaniard let out a deep sigh.
“Our bond is unbreakable. We’ll always be together.”
Had she really processed everything that had happened during those moments properly? Could she really even process what happened in the course of a whole year?
The fight with Luke had probably left sequels on her that she had not even explored.
In any case, Akemi would get a hug for as long as she wanted.

"...So?" Anzu blinked. "It's what I think. I think even if you're my rival, you're still utterly adorable." Her words were...slightly more quiet than usual. Perhaps she did mean that to an extent.
Of course, she also could have been doing this just to get this exact reaction out of Jazz. It was nothing short of precious to Anzu, after all! One could even swear a mutter of 'so cute' had been heard. She could not stay and admire the blushy mess forever, though. Arianna had proceeded into Akemi's room, and...to say she didn't trust the fairy to not just rifle through her tamer's belongings like there was little to no care in the world was an understatement.
God knows how Akemi'd react to that.
SO, she and Jazz followed Arianna into Akemi's room. What the fairy would find was a spacious, and actually pretty clean room with a futon in the corner, a study (one cluttered with notes), a television (there were even a few game consoles plugged in), and her target...The closet.
The lights were off. But there were probably clothes in there, right? It seemed like Akemi took great care to keep her room clean, but...that was likely not going to be the case for long, was it? While it was regrettable to hear that Kath didn't really keep contact with her cousins (save for the one), it was quite a coincidence to hear that the one in Japan was also the one she watched pirate movies with. What were the odds of that?
Akemi didn't feel like she needed to tell Kath the obvious here. She should. She honestly should. The only indicator that she wanted her to make that maybe into something more was a single nod from Akemi's end. While it was possible that Akemi would...possibly never truly understand whatever it was that Kath went through, the events of the Dogma tower had irrevocably affected both girls in differing ways.
And yet, one was still willing to hold the other even if she was...coming down from a lot of distress. Let's be honest about that. "I think you're sweeter." Akemi found herself whispering. "So sweet that...Yeah. We do have a pretty strong bond, don't we?" One that transcended reality.
Akemi kept that hug up for quite a while, before realization suddenly struck her. "...H-Hey, weren't we going to watch a documentary? And wasn't I going to serve more drinks?" ...She might have forgotten, but in her defense? Kath was probably the comfiest girl to hug in the house at the moment, barring a particular Lopmon upstairs.

For the time being, Jazz’s only response to Anzu’s comments was playing with her fingers while looking down. When the time came, she went inside Akemi’s room following Arianna.
“Mrs. Akemi is quite self-conscious about order, isn’t she?” Her arms folded, the fairy took a good look at the bedroom. “She even likes videogames!” As soon as she entered, a smile was drawn all across Jazz’s expression. “That’s so cool. Kath doesn’t have any gaming console. She took me to the arcades once, though… It was fun. Even if she's not... very good.” The brunette explained, looking at Anzu for a second and letting out a short giggle.
It could come as a surprise for Anzu but… Arianna was actually quite respectful of Akemi’s belongings and the order she seemed to want to maintain. Well, although she probably wouldn’t be the first to admit that, it made sense she was the most mature of all of them right?
The Fairymon leaned forward towards the closet, opening the door and getting on her tippy-toes to properly look at the different garments the oldest Amaya held in her closet. “Let’s see…”
Meanwhile, Jazz walked towards Akemi’s study, vaguely exploring everything laid across the desk. Her eyes stopped on top of the tamer’s digivice. Next to it… a card. Slowly, the holosuited bunny took it between two fingers, a dim smile appearing on her lips again.
“This is one of the cards we gave to the girls when we turned into Minervamon, isn't it?” She asked, tilting her head. The item was… glowing in a bright pink light, just by being brought close to the two of them. “… It seems to be reacting to me holding it next to you. What do you think it means?” A second or two after, she decided to throw another question her best friend's way. “… Do you… remember how Minervamon had these? Did she... we… crafted them ourselves?”
It was only when Akemi talked about the bond they held that Katherine felt a warm sensation within herself. What was that? She could actually feel… the love Akemi felt for her? How was that possible? What did that mean? “We… really do.” For a second or two, she thought about asking her if she could feel that. However, the girl refrained. Instead, she focused on her friend’s new questions.
“Well… we did mention that.” Katherine admitted before punctuating that sentence with a chuckle. “But we were busy... hugging. That’s... good, too, isn’t it?” Sure! Hugging was nice. After making sure her friend didn’t need any help to get those drinks ready, Katherine decided to go to the restroom for a minute. Instead of going back to the kitchen, she decided to wait for the drinks and Akemi in the living room. That would probably get the smaller girl a lot less distracted, right?
After taking a seat back on the couch, Katherine leaned her body backward, letting her legs go over the armrest while she checked on her cellphone. Driven by a sensation not too different from the one she had felt some minutes ago, she checked her bag. The card that she always carried next to her digivice, the one Minervamon had given to her, was shining. What did that mean? In addition, why now? It had shone before but…
The curly-haired girl just remained there, staring at the object with her body lying on half the couch. Hopefully, Akemi wouldn’t mind her getting that comfortable in her home, right?

"She's self-conscious about a lot of things...I had to learn that the hard way." Anzu commented, quietly. Akemi hadn't played any video games in a hot minute, so there was a bit of dust on the console itself. Anzu was keeping a close eye upon Arianna the entire time she glanced around the room and looked through it, too.
Despite her self-proclaimed title of "The Literal Worst Partner Anybody Could Ever Ask For," Anzu was doing her best to ensure her tamer's privacy was respected. Especially by a stranger such as the boomer fairy.
As for what Arianna would find...She'd find garments. Let's leave it at that. A girl's closet is not something you describe in a thread. She probably had a field day in there, though.
Anzu looked to where Jazz was, and walked over to the study to find the card that sh...No, they gave the girls as Minervamon. Back at the beach. "...I don't think I've ever seen it do that before, no...Um. I think it pertains more to...us than Akemi and Katherine? Maybe?" Especially since it came from their fused form...
"I think we did. But...whether it was voluntary or a result of us fusing, I'm not sure...It's a very pretty color, though. You look cute in that light." Actually...Hm. Was now a good time to breach this topic? Priere was watching Arianna go through the closet, so no attention was on her...
"Hey, um...Jazz? H-Have you ever gone on a date before?"
...The fact there was a light snicker from Priere was probably indicative of how this was going to go. ...It felt oddly warm. Especially when they were talking about bonds. Katherine didn't need to ask if Akemi could feel that, she already did. "Warm." She muttered quietly.
"Y-Yeah, I don't think it's anything bad." It was actually helping her feel a lot less...stressed about this whole thing. That was better than nothing. Akemi didn't necessarily have any ideas about mixing any more drinks up, so she decided to go fetch...two glasses and a bottle of wine. It was nothing fancy. Well, it felt fancy but it was just wine at it's core, right?
It'd work. Hopefully Kath understood. She came back to the living room to find Katherine with half of her body on the couch, staring at a familiar card...The one she kept up in her room.
Why was it glowing? She quietly moved to set the bottle and glasses down on the little table in front of the couch, before she sat down and stared at the card. "Why's it...glowing this time?" She decided to ask that first. "I hope you don't mind the wine, I...wasn't sure what else I could prepare."
That warm feeling from earlier was still there, too. Akemi really needed an explanation here...

Both Arianna and Jazz could agree on the fact that Anzu’s statement sounded extremely accurate. She and Akemi had very different personalities, so it made perfect sense the bean needed to adapt a lot to her tamer. And, in all honesty? It was super nice of her that she had.
Okay. This was no good! WHERE WERE THE PAJAMAS? Arianna didn’t have much luck going through Akemi’s closet. The pajamas weren’t there!
“T-They’re not here!” Her cheeks slightly puffed, the fairy turned towards Anzu and Priere. Since the holosuited Tsukaimon looked quite busy, Arianna focused on the noun. “Anzu said they would be here.” So? How hard could it be to find some funny animal suit pajama things? Kigurumi was their name?
Meanwhile, Jazz and Anzu kept examining the card they had given to the girls. It was quite late to wonder how these worked but… in all honesty, they hadn’t had the time to do it before.
“You think so?” Jazz directed an honest question to her best friend, tilting her head. “I’ve always felt they represent the bond the four of us share. Although, since they literally were crafted by Minervamon, I guess you could be right…” She mused. It didn’t sound like they could work without Akemi and Katherine’s bond being strong enough, though. How had the ancient warrior lady created them, though?
While Anzu spoke, memories from their last battle as Minervmon would sprout in both the digimon’s heads. That was right. They had fused to battle Luke in the Dogma Tower, hadn't them?
“Inexistence is so boring… I’m glad to be back ~”
“You don’t get it, do you? It’s not about being stronger. It’s not about you having more power than I. I don't care about such ephemeral issues. I am a being that can constantly surpass itself. I am not like you. There is not an established limit to my power. The stronger you hit me? The stronger I become."
“T-That is…”
“You can close the door of possibilities over and over again. I don’t mind. I mean. Ugh. It gets really boring sometimes but… I’ll just blast through it. Over… and over… again.”
Was Jazz… shaking?
“The complete certainty that… you will be able to break your limits no matter what.” She muttered, timidly. Her eyes were wide open. Was that what Minervamon was? Was that why Luke hadn’t been capable of properly defeating her? “I don’t remember what we felt at the moment but…” She mused, trying to get a grasp of the sensations going through her body during that battle. “… Kath told me… it was the first time she actually felt Luke was… scared.”
That sole thought was… making Jazz’s heart race like never before. What was this sensation? What was the limit of Minervamon’s true power?
Her train of thought, which honestly didn’t seem to be taking her anywhere in specific, was interrupted by Anzu’s voice. “C-Cute?” Blinking, the holosuited Lopmon just stared at her pink-haired peer while her cheeks acquired a rosier tone. “T-Thank you…”
Then, an answer. “Date…?” She tried to place the term in her head. “Oh. Like… a romantic encounter, right?” Well, no. Definitely not. “I don’t think so…” She admitted. “… Have you?”
It was probably for the best to leave those thoughts about Minervamon behind, right?
In any case, Jazz’s tamer was about to entertaining those same thoughts.
“No clue.” Wrinkling her mouth, Katherine responded. Her eyes didn’t stop staring at the card at any moment. “Oh. T-That’s fine.” Her head in a whole other place, the green-eyed didn’t pay much attention to the wine being put on the table.
“He~re. You should have this. It will probably help me help you.”
“Minervamon gave us these…” The raven-haired girl couldn’t help but think about the moment Jazz and Anzu’s DNA appeared in front of Luke. Her mind went as far back as when she appeared for the first time on the beach, even. Suddenly, she started voicing out her thoughts.
“Most of the time… I don’t even understand what she’s saying. And yet still… I feel she’s capable of doing just about anything.” Why? What was actually the reason behind that? “I wonder if it’s because I had never seen her limits. I wonder if it’s because I don’t really understand what makes her so powerful.” A pause. “I honestly feel… her head must be a mess.”
A mess. Just like Katherine’s head was when she thought about… love.
Could it be such a powerful, yet hectic and unstoppable feeling was fueling Minervamon?
“What do you feel?” Katherine finally asked, turning her head towards Akemi. After a short pause, she elaborated a bit better. “What do you feel when you look at her? Do you… feel she can be stopped?” Maybe her peer had another point of view about it. "What do you think makes her so powerful?"
