Let's see, to speak frankly... evolution comes as a natural growth. Generally, for normal Digimons, evolution come after a lot of combat, training, diet, and well, basically it's similar to bodybuilding and conditioning yourself... your lifestyle affects your evolution. For our partnered Digimons, however, on top of that, evolution are more spontaneous. For example, if you're in grave danger. Your partner would immediately evolve if they're ready. However, if they're not ready, well, they won't evolve, or they would berserk because they overexerted themselves on a form that's alien to them.
Your emotions supposedly resonates with theirs, and that's what triggered the evolution. Freya might knows more, because she was the receptor after all, but I think she prefer to secure the area first for talking before actually talking...
Karin looked up from her D-Nexus and looked at the clock. About fifteen minutes left huh.
From Baby II to child, all that's needed are usually just food and training, and that's all, but from there on, you need training and bond. From child to adult, add danger... from adult to perfect, strong bond, and proving your strongest quality... from perfect to ultimate, it requires something that probably can shook heartstring of whatever divine out there... and ultimate to super ultimate... absolute unison on mind, heart and soul."
...Complicated, she know.
The one in the station is gated by a nonfunctional lift. Jokes to them, you just need to be a chosen or digitally chosen to enter the lift like any normal person. it's secluded, and it supposedly goes down to an inactive platform. Another joke, it's filled with Digimons called Trailmon that will lead you to Terminus, the biggest city in Digital World.
Digital World is... I think you can treat it as an outlandish world. Everything there, the aesthetic is sort of biological crossed with technological. Sometimes there are things that you find weird to exist, for example like appearance of vending machine appearing in forest, or middle of desert, and it's fully powered too... sometimes items that doens't make sense to appear in some area appears on them like aged tram... well, you'll see it by yourself later.
..Holosuit probably works on human too, yes, but you'll probably have a bit of a trouble adjusting to your new height if you use it to increase or decrease your height. I never tried.

It would seem the feeling of 'Oh that's a lot of information all at once' was going to be a trend for today. That's fine, Natane could handle it, probably. She was more than a little bit taken aback by the concept of another world and shapeshifting creatures and the fact that apparently it was possible for bonds formed between others to literally be a source of power, but she could work on actually processing all that later. Right now was time to just.... accept the information and move forward.
Okay so you're saying there's literally a whole other world out there that can be reached through at least 2 different places here in our world. And that our partners are originally from that world and that they can apparently shapeshift into other forms as we grow closer and they get stronger. It's like something out of a tv show or book honestly. It sounds... interesting though. You said that some evolution stages require stuff like danger to reach them, is the Digital World really dangerous or...?
Natane figured it'd take a bit of time to properly digest all this info, but for now just getting all of it was the important bit. Their hand in their bag gently stroked Lutea and Lanata, and she marveled over how attached to the pair she was already growing. She wanted to help them out with whatever they needed, and it seemed like helping them get stronger would be a good first step.

As weird as you think it is, yes. That's the logical explanation. You can treat it like a world of yokai I guess? And yes, Digital World... well, the danger level varies. Generally in the city, you'll be fine. But outside of it? That's where it sort of different based where you are. For example the north and the west are generally known as the most dangerous wilderness in Diigtal World. South and East are generally easier, with the east being easier than the south except in some places.
There is an absolute place that's similar to hell called Dark Area though. That's where the difficulty spike just reached totally new heights. You can treat it like a boss battle area, pretty much. But thing is occurrences like that are pretty much available wherever in that world. If you somehow figuratively rolled a one, you'll face something that just want you dead for the strangest reasons ever.
What else to say? Hmmm... thankfully, thirty minutes has passed.
"We can talk about the rest in the room. Shall we?"
Freya of course carried the books and pretty much just entered the room without waiting the other four. Karin soon followed, and sat at one of the chair.... Honestly, she wish there is a way to study without being peeked at or something... Karaoke booth is probably easier considering they can also order foods, but... whatever she guess...
"Right, do you have any other questions?"

The incoming information was still overwhelming. It was all a lot to process, but Natane's mind was struggling valiantly to do just that. If nothing else she was trying to tweak her worldview enough to accept everything Karin was saying. The idea of this other world having areas of increasing danger versus areas that were essentially safe zones was comforting though, it allowed Natane to approach the whole thing with video game logic and that made it all seem much more approachable. She sat there thinking about it for a solid while, right up until the time came for their room to open up. The though of actually speaking to Karin face to face was... daunting, but then again so was any situation that required actual social interaction for her.
The study room was nice enough. Quiet, small enough to be cozy without being cramped. She took a seat opposite Karin and positioned her bag so that Lutea and Lanata could look out without being seen immediately if someone looked in on them. She took a deep breath in, adjusted her mask nervously, and then spoke in her usual quiet, measured voice.
"What chooses us?" That was the big thing for her. "What was it about me that allowed me to get drawn into this?" She didn't feel upset, it was pure curiosity at this point. Already she was attached to her two little partners, so she wasn't about to hold a grudge against whatever it was that brought them together. But if it was for a reason she didn't agree with, then she wanted to know.
"Oh, good question! I want to thank whoever it was if it's a person!"
"Mhmm."

"Well, I understand if all of this is hard to chew... Considering that I pretty much dumped all sort of explanation to you but honestly? Digital World might sounded like a game, but it's a reality, another reality that choses only those that it wants. Those who are blessed... or cursed, up to how you see it, will eventually embark journey to a new world they never seen before. Well, anyway... when it comes to that world, a hand on experience is better than a book lesson sort. Still, it's best to come prepared anyway.
Until you feel like you're ready, my suggestion is to stay here and think about it some more, maybe just talk around with trusted people, and then when you're ready, you can take the first step," Karin commented.
Still, what chooses them? "...That's a good question," Karin commented. A slight hint of resignation seem to accidentally laced her voice "....Many said that we're chosen by God of Digital World, yet somehow if that's the case, there are somehow evil people chosen too. Well, they're not 'evil' by default, but more like when they get to Digital World, their limiter just..." she opened her hand like gesturing explosion.
"Poof, I guess? Demons, God? I have no idea honestly. There are too many theories out there, but... strangely, even if we're chosen, we don't have any sort of mission waiting for us. We're just... 'here', I guess? We somehow have that massive freedom, and... to me, that's... one of the scariest part of being chosen: You really have no idea why you're tossed to this new world and new life. And sometimes it's not a voluntary thing you joined like a raffle or lottery too."

No one really knew then? No one understood why they were pulled into this situation at all? Well, that was a bit terrifying. Still, at least Natane had time to mull everything over a bit and figure out what she wanted to do, as well as see what Lutea and Lanata wanted aside from sticking to her like glue. Karin was being surprisingly open with the information she had which was a new experience for Natane, but then again nothing about this situation wasn't new.
"....Tell me what the Digital World is like please." She shifted in her chair, wishing she could pull her knees to her chest but not wanting to remove that barrier between her partners and the line of sight from the door. You never know when someone could look in on them after all. "You said it was full of different places and dangers. Are there places that... stick out to you?" The struggle to understand and process the information she had been given was almost helping Natane in a way, distracting her from a lot of the anxiety that comes with talking to others. "What kinds of other Digimon are there?"

Hmmm, logical question. So basically more about the places that they can visit and places they should avoid?
Karin looked back for a moment before laying her D-Nexus on the table, then activate its PDA mode. A holographic display immediately spreads out as screen while the LCD screen of the Digivice showed keyboard.
"Well, then, to save our time, let's talk about the geography. First regarding Digital World, compass from real world won't work in Digital World. It'll spin out of control apparently. Not only that, all sort of electronics that manufactured in real world will malfunction within digital world. exception exist, apparently those that doesn't use internet will be... fine-ish? I haven't tested just how accurate is this. I pretty much getting everything I need in Digital World because easier to my head to wrap up!
Anyway, uh.... so Digital Worlds are spread into five main sectors, and two out of norm places. Northern Prominence, Western Flatlands, Eastern Timberlands, Southern Tropics and the Core make up the five main sectors. Floating above this are Empyrean Skies, and far to the edge of the Digital World are hellish landscape called Dark Area. Each five sectors of Digital World have their own cities...
The core: Terminus City The east: Rosewood City The west: Rustport Town The south: Whitewater City The north: Snowflake Village ...or if you would like to go further to north... Ancient Capital of Ys."
Everytime Karin speak about the city, the hologram would zoom in to each part of the map and shows the city's visual looks. "There are various settlements in Digital World too, tribe based, but you probably best leave some of them alone, considering they tend to be not so welcoming to humans... unless, you somehow can smoothtalk your way and treat them with courtesy."
That aside... "The core are generally safe above the ground. Go under though, you'll find black market based city of sort and probably the deepest secret of Digital World. Needless to say, it's the most dangerous place in Digital World. Basically, if you think of this in RPG manner, The center and east is easy, except in the east... Bayou and Tyrant Labyrinth, avoid that until you're at Adult stage at least. The south is also good. Nothing too drastic over here than Sunken Elysium. Not place you can go to without diving gears anyway, so I guess you won't approach there at any rate.
West is slightly hardcore. North is too. Most of places in these two you need to be careful because how dangerous and unfriendly they are. However, if you're just staying in the city... should be fine I think. Hmmm what else... there's moving city called El Doradimon... abort at all cost if you see it. They hates human A LOT. Luminas can't be entered without actually flying there, so... I don't think you can do it at the meantime. Dark Area is hellish, the hardest of the place, I think... abort.
To move around the places, you ride a Digimon called Trailmon. They're free, but don't make too much fuss otherwise they'll kick you out. They're operated by Terminus Railway Network Company. If you don't know where you're heading to, ask. To Ys, there's a special liner called Grand Locomon liner, which is like first class sleeper train. They're not free, but your safety is guaranteed, and you don't have to be cold and all that."
what other kinds of Digimons?
"There are more than 1400 known species of Digimons and counting. There are perhaps more out there. Listing them all probably a headache. However... Freya?"
Freya turned off her holosuit after making sure no one was looking. it reveals form of a Floramon, albeit with some differences. "Freya is a Floramon."

Natane felt like she should be awed and baffled by the sudden use of holographic technology to accompany a basic geography lecture, but at this point holograms were hardly worth being shocked over. The sheer volume of information would have been overwhelming if it weren't for the fact that some of it was a slight expansion on a few things Karin ad mentioned before. It was still a lot to memorize, but she figured that she could always work on that part later on. One thing was for sure, she'd need to run her own D-Terminal through some rigorous testing to figure out exactly what it could do if Karin was able to use it to make holographic maps and such on the fly like this.
Freya's sudden lack of disguise was much more of a shock, if only because Natane hadn't been expecting it in the slightest. The sudden appearance of yet another walking plant-like creature bizarrely relaxed her however, and in the back of her mind Natane couldn't help but wonder at what that said about her own priorities and personality. "That's.... well I guess that should seem like a lot of different types of Digimon but..." She frowned behind her face mask, looking down up at the ceiling in contemplation. "If I think about it in context of how many different living things there are on earth, it doesn't seem like such an overwhelming number at all."
"Anyway, what you were saying about the different cities, so you would recommend that for now I stick near them at least, until I'm able to somehow help Lanata and Lutea get stronger? And how does a city move? From what you said is sounds like the whole place is just one big Digimon, but that makes no sense."
Meanwhile, Lanata had wriggled and climbed her way up and out of Natanes bag and had bounced over to Freya, looking the Floramon up and down with shining eyes. "Oh! We can be like you! Lutea and I can do that!" She looked up at Natane who was still deep in thought. "Nane! Lutea and I can be like Freya if you help. Please, we wanna try!"
Snapped out of her reverie by the voice of one of her partners, Natane startled and looked down, first at the little Tanemon shuffling excitedly beside Freya, and then down to Lutea who had remained dutifully in her bag, but who was also gazing up at her tamer with a pleading expression.
"Um." She shot a look to Karin that said help me.

Karin is sure that all of that is hard to remember at once, so she... come to think of it she guess she could give a general map or something can't she? She took out a physical map and handed it to Natane. "Please have that. I think it'll be crucial. I think you have the map in your D-Terminal or Digivice, but another version of the map is probably good too."
The whole place is a digimon? "...Well, that's how it is. The city is a digimon. Considering how it have 'mon' on its name after all. I guess you can think that name like -.exe extensions of a file? I think the .mon part is what makes you know that they're a Digimon."
The one that she should sticks in... "Rosewood or Terminus. Don't go to the sketchier parts of Terminus, but Rosewood is fine. It's quaint place, quite a safe haven. The other... Whitewater is probably fine, but living fee there are rather high considering it's a tourism city... What else I guess..."
But her thoughts was broken by the plants who apparently want to evolve?
"...Ahahaha, they might need a bit of time... but for the meantime, you should just feed them, and probably let them train in Digital World. Soon they'll evolve... I think! Um... do you know what proposed by scientists as why living beings evolves? I mean about animals and plants."
