Gummy straighten the two buttons on his red vest meticulously, making sure they didn't had any smudges or dirt on them. After that he would do the same to his goggles. He was, for a lack of a better word, force to great lengths to make himself as presentable as possible; he only have a few minutes, no, maybe even a few seconds before he would show up.
Today he felt positively cheerful - and odd feeling for him. Gummy rarely felt that feeling these days, or at least something similar of merit. He always sported a gung-ho attitude along with mischievousness , speaking and doing stuff that was on his mind without any filter. His Tamer, Justice, and his older brother Vee, had told him this, that people wouldn't want to socialize with him because of his personality. Gummy reacted the same each time this came up; he confirmed how little he cared about how others -- especially people who were soft spoken -- perceived him, and that if they had a problem with it, then they should come say it to his face. Judging by their responses, five out of ten, he may just smack them with his hammer.
Sure, the Gumdramon had met people that he was relatively fine with, like Alan, Levi, Dorothy, Alice, and those two Sistermon twins from that one DATS agent that he failed to remember her name, but that was it. To him, they were merely acquaintances, and he was fine with it staying it like that. He was not the type of mon to forge bonds and comradery; he was a bit anti-social compared to Vee.
But today was different. Today was the day he put all that aside just for him.
Staring out from the bench he was sitting on, Whitewater City was covered in a thick blanket of white, making it almost blinding when the sun reflected off of it. The last time he was here along with his tamer and brother, they had all huddled together in an arcade taking shelter from a hurricane. The city had quickly recovered from the storm's damage. Gummy had no trouble coming here from the Human World. The night before, Justice had organized a meet and greet only for Gummy to attend to, and the other person who was coming was none other than Bezil: another Gumdramon like himself. For a lack of a better word, that put Gummy into absolute panic mode.
Several times, Gummy had wanted to go back to the comforts of Justice's dorm, but, he had stopped himself. No, today was the day. Today was the day he finally get these butterflies out of his stomach that he had ever since he met him. He had rehearsed their meeting scenario more times than he could count all last night.
"This day is going to be perfect." He muttered, clenching his fist. "It has to be perfect."
For better or worse, after this day was done, he's gonna "thank" his Tamer by giving him a sift punch to the gut.

Bezil was nervous the whole time he flew on his father's back that day. Ordinarily he'd be thrilled as heck to ride the MachGaogamon halfway across the digital world, feeling the wind in his fur as he'd travel to a new exciting location. But today was different. Partly because the last time he was here in Whitewater there had been a full-on hurricane, so, returning here after that obviously brought back some bad memories. And partly because... the reason he was going to Whitewater in the first place was because he was going to meet Gummy again. A digimon, he had learned through the grapevine, really rather liked him. Bezil had gathered that himself since he remembered Gummy sharing his blanket that night of the hurricane and said some nice things to him. But now they were going to meet again... and of course his family had ensured the furred Gumdramon was dressed in his KIZNA tunic to look extra snazzy. For one thing, Bezil was a little worried that Gummy might find it overbearing, or even worse, amusing, since it made him pretty much look like some kind of Prince, according to his grandfather Sten. But he kept it on, and would only remove it if Gummy objected to it. "Here we are, mate." Owen said to his son as he landed nearby, taking care to let his son off a fair distance away from Gummy so he could approach alone. "Just remember, keep things pleasant and it'll go smoothly. Heh, I can feel your digicore pulsing away like mine did when Papa Hikaru first started flirting with me...""Dad, please, I've got this." Bezil said, forcing his voice to sound firm, but still it quivered a little. Owen merely winked, then de-digivolved down to his Gaomon form. "I know you do, mate." he said, giving Bezil a pat on the shoulder. "Now then. While I'm in Whitewater I might do a bit of shopping..." he then excused himself, leaving Bezil alone. It didn't take him long to find Gummy, sitting on a bench overlooking the sea. Tense and anxious, he overheard others talking. Some were even noticing him. "That tunic... that Gumdramon's from KIZNA." he heard a Floramon remark to her friend. "Hm. Wonder what they're doing down here in Whitewater?" her Falcomon companion replied. "Probably to do with the Elysium."Bezil quickly put that conversation out of his mind before he approached Gummy with a nervous smile. "Hiya, Gummy." he said to the smaller Gumdramon, giving a little wave. "So, I... uh..." he paused, then realized his pause with a horrified expression. Dammit, what should he say?! "...heard you wanna catch up. Well, here I am. Can I sit next to you?"By now Bezil was blushing so hard that the white fur on his cheeks were tinted pink, but, he tried his best to sound all brave and confident, like his parents.

The seconds turned into minutes for Gummy as he began to twiddle his thumbs in a sort of fidget. This was the first time that something that meant more to him than anything was making him so anxious. Despite him having all of this rehearsed in his head, he still felt unsure of himself as to how to approach him.
He then quickly remembered the conversation that him, Justice, and Vee had shortly before they left off in the city. His Tamer told him to just be himself since that would be what Bezil's looking for,to see all the positives in a person, or in this case, Digimon. To the Gumdramon, that's where the problem stems from. Anything that he views as a positive, in this case being pranks and fighting, might be way too much for Bezil since he came from a family that was well-known throughout the Digital World from their heroic deeds. He's probably too sophisticated for such juvenile things.
Eventually, his nose would detect a familiar scent. He looked up to see Bezil wearing an exotic outfit. On one hand, Gummy thought that the bigger Gumdramon's outfit made him look "tight" as Justice put it. It made him stand out from the crowd and that's what he liked. On the other hand, it made Gummy feel inadequate for how little he'd prepared. Should he have done something similar? Sure he took a bath and made sure that his vest and goggles were pristine, but it didn't compared to what Bezil wore. It was clear that he took this more seriously than he did.
He stiffen a little in surprise, and would blink a few times at Bezil's direction, who gave him a somewhat puzzling expression. It quickly faded as he asked if he could sit next to him. He took a soft breath. He could do this...
"Uhhh, yeah, sure." Gummy would manage to force out as he gave him a nervous smile. Once he did, the Gumdramon sat in silence as he pondered what to say next. Should he ask him how was he doing, or ask him if he's bashed any heads with his tail as of late? Those two wouldn't do.
For now, the most he could comment on is the clothes the older Gumdramon was wearing. That was probably a good start.
"You uhhh...you look tight." He said, using the same expression that Justice would. He wondered if Bezil would even get that. "A little too out there, but pretty snazzy I'd say."
Unbeknownst to Gummy, his tail would slowly start to glow in a blueish hue, much like the color of his flames whenever he unleashes an attack. To Bezil, it would be a warm feeling, like being right next to a heater after being in the cold for several hours.

Bezil gave a small smile and a nod as thanks for the invitation to sit next to him. The furred Gumdramon did so, about three feet away. Not too close to be uncomfortable, but not too far to indicate distance. So he hoped.
Gummy's comment about his outfit confused him. "...Tight?" he repeated, a little unsure. He plucked at it. "I don't think so, dad said it fitted me fine..." that was his first misunderstanding there, he thought Gummy was saying it was too small.
Then Gummy clarified. A little too out there, but still snazzy. Bezil then at once realized what he was saying, then chuckled a little. "I know, right? Papa told me to look as neatly presented as possible, but I thought wearing my KIZNA uniform would be a little too much. I can take it off if you want..."
Bezil then realized what the implications could be here. "N-not that I mean that in any forward way! Just yet anyway... ah, I didn't mean to say that out loud... oh gosh, I'm making things awkward already aren't I?"
Bezil said all this with the internal thought that the mere removal of clothes was something that those that liked each other would do way further in their meeting. And also while forgetting that all he was wearing was the KIZNA jacket and his normal Gumdramon vest underneath that, his pants nonexistant.
Bezil calmed himself down a little after that, merely waiting for Gummy's reply. He noted already that Gummy seemed to be looking at him with a warm expression. Bezil gave that same expression back. He liked the digimon that he saw. A strong, proud digimon with a lot to prove to the world. Just like him. He hoped that they could get to know each other better here.
"...I've been thinking about what you said to me back in the hurricane." Bezil said to Gummy, a little shyly, but still pressed on. "And I got the feeling that you kinda care about me. If that's the case, Gummy... I care about you too."
He held back his further feelings about the other Gumdramon for the moment, just waiting with baited breath about what he had to say about that.

Gummy subconsiously breath a sigh of relief that Bezil understood his compliment. Knowing how his Tamer spoke, nobody would understand that kind of communication without proper clarification. The fact that the Gumdramon spoke like that was proof that Justice was rubbing off him, but was it in a good or bad way, he didn't know for sure.
Bezil explained that the outfit he's wearing was affliated with something called KINZA. He tilted his head. Was it an organization or something? If so, it was a pretty well-sofisticated one if all memebers can get cool looking outfits like that.
Gummy then cock an eyebrow when the older Gumdramon went on a nervous ramble at the notion of taking his uniform off, a bit confused on what he meant. "I mean, if you want to keep looking all snazzy-like, then keep 'em on. If not, then take 'em off. As long as your comfortable, I don't care how you look."
One thing was clear to the Gumdramon; Bezil was just as nervous as he was. For a second he thought that he was the odd-one out and it would be him saying weird stuff while Bezil was the confident one, effortlessly deciding his choice of words with little to no effort. But he was glad he was on the same boat as he was.
Then, Bezil told Gummy that he heard what he said to him back in the hurricane a couple of weeks back, before they all went to sleep For a few moments, Gummy sat there petrified and aware of little ese bar the hammering in his small chest which he was certain was his heart, and it was beating at an abnormal rate.
"You...heard all that?" he manage to utter, feeling an odd warmth across his face. He then quickly went back to his gung-ho attitue, albeit a little mushy. "I-I-I only said that because you kept your promise on not drowing! Yep, one Digimon to another!"
His tail, that was emitting a warm, blue glow, would emit into blue flames, setting a smal fire to his side of the bench they he was sitting on. The commotion caught the attention of nearby on-lookers. Feeling the hot pressure, Gummy quickly got up and tured red in both flusterness and embarrasment.
"Aw crap, seriously?!" He shouted. Now he was embarrasing him more than Bezil was. In response he used his tail hammer to try and put out the fire, only to realize after a few strikes that the tip of his tail was still ablazed in reaction to Bezil's comment. "SERIOUSLY, TAIL?! YOU ARE JUST THE WORST!"

Bezil smiled at Gummy as he indicated he didn't mind how he looked. "Thanks. To be honest, this uniform's better suited to the climate at Ys, not as much down here." he unbuttoned his tunic, folded it neatly, and placed it in his infini-store. With that done, the only thing he was wearing was his normal red vest and golden ring around his tail.
After that was done, and Bezil admitted he had indeed heard what Gummy had said to him in the hurricane, he noticed that Gummy blushed. Bezil did so too, but, in a glad sort of way that indicated he had heard right. But he wouldn't press the point. He'd do his best to be gentle, but still, he had to point out the logic of that, considering what he knew about Gummy and his heavily suppressed feelings.
"From what I know of you, Gummy, I think 'don't drown' kinda counts as a compliment, am I right?" he asked, but gasped as Gummy's tail burst into flames and set fire to the bench. Gummy tried to put out the flames himself, but, only seemed to do more damage.
"It's okay, Gummy, I got this!" Bezil said, his tail glowing an icy blue-white. "Frosty Tail!"
With that, he sent a wave of freezing wind over the flames, hopefully extinguishing them. While the bench was probably destroyed, hopefully he could at least limit the damage done here.
"You alright, Gummy?" he'd ask the other Gumdramon, concerned over how he was feeling over this. "...how about we go for a walk along the beach? Pretend this didn't happen?". While of course Bezil would make sure the bench was compensated for discreetly afterward.
Besides, from what he knew of his friend, he didn't like to speak his true feelings in public. Maybe when they were in a place where nobody could overhear them over the waves would make him more comfortable?

Gummy watched as Bezil sent out a freezing wind at the engulfed bench, effectively putting out the flames that he accidently started. The bench they were once sitting on was now a charred shadow of it's former self. Gummy extended out his finger to touch the bench. Once he did, the black, wooden bench quickly collapsed in on itself, making the Gumdramon step back a bit in surprise.
Already this day was turning into a disaster, and it just started. Despite preparing himself over and over again on what to say and do, Gummy failed to account for his emotions, which unfortunately, had an effect on his tail. If he was feeling extremely happy or comfortable, his tail would glow warm, blue, like a heater. If he became extremely angry or embarrassed however, his tail would catch on fire. With this, it was the latter.
The older Gumdramon then asked if he was alright, to which Gummy responded with his usual bravado, standing tall and puffing up his chest, trying to hide his embarrassment "Of-of course I'm alright! What you said just took me by surprise, that's all! Hahahahaha!"
Bezil then suggested if they go walk along the beach, to which Gummy nodded. "Sure. Anything's better than here." He turned his attention to the Digimon that were watching in bewilderment. "N-Nothing to see here, folks. Go on back to whatever it was you were doing."
As the two of them walked away, it didn't take too long for the nearby on-lookers to start talking among themselves about what just happened. Some were even staring at Gummy as they did.
"Stupid. What's that brat's little problem?" He heard from a nearby Bearmon, who was talking to a Kumamon.
"I don't know, but thank Sovereigns that Gumdramon from KINZA was able to put it out before it could spread." The Kumamon responded. "Talk about a quick and effective response."
"Uh-huh. He should really show that shorty that actions have consequences."
Hearing this, a hot, crimson rage filled Gummy's heart. His tail again started to slowly light up. If those two had something negative to say, they should say it to his face. He saw that as a cowardice act to just gossip instead of sticking by your guns. But he still kept his composure for Bezil's sake, his tail cooling off. If he acted out and threaten the two, it would only prove their points more and make Bezil further stand out as a good figure; a good figure that he should be.
Unfortunately, Gummy was far from being a positive figure. His brother Vee may want to follow that goody-two-shoes example, but not Gummy; that screams boredom. He wanted to show every Digimon that he was the strongest around. He didn't care if others look at him with contempt or with respect, only if they acknowledge that he was the best.

Glad that Gummy said that he was okay, Bezil gave a smile, but he wasn't naive enough to fall for Gummy trying to hide his embarrassment. Still, he wouldn't force Gummy to account for this here. An accident was an accident. And while a bench might have been destroyed, it wasn't like anyone was hurt by this. He'd be happy to recompense for it later though.
Bezil had inherited his good hearing from both of his parents, and overheard the nasty things the other digimon were saying about Gummy. Furthermore he noticed how much those words hurt the digimon he thought of as his friend.
The furred Gumdramon was at a dilemma about what to do in response though. He couldn't endorse Gummy's behaviour, that would go against how he was raised. But still. He wanted Gummy to feel good about this time together. And hopefully a quiet walk along the beach away from all those other prying eyes would be good for them?
"I think we're alone now." Bezil said to Gummy, gently, once they had moved far enough along the beach to be away from other digimon. It wasn't very crowded. Even though Whitewater was renown as the beachside resort city of the digital world, it was still winter, and few digimon would venture out here for a swim if they could help it.
Still, Bezil was a little nervous about how to continue here. Especially since he really didn't know the best way to approach Gummy yet. He wanted to be his friend, but still, it was like treading on eggshells around him. But... maybe, letting the other Gumdramon carry the conversation might allow him to get to know the other better?
"...anything you wanna talk about, mate?" Bezil asked. The nearest digimon by now was half a mile away. Nobody would be able to be hear them. Not with the rolling waves and rushing seabreeze.

Rubbing his paws over his face and head, Gummy sighed to himself, deciding to put the thoughts far from his mind for now and following Bezil. He would have to explain himself, eventually. Maybe if the Gumdramon brought it up once they came to somewhere private he could at the very least explain as to why he sporadically reacted like that, as long as he didn’t explode in the midst of his explanation that is.
For the longest time, according to the caretakers at the Village of Beginnings, he and Vee were born from the same digi egg — a rare phenomenon, but not unheard of. Vee was the first to materialize first, while Gummy did so ten second later. Unlike a regular Digimon, their personalities were split, with Vee inheriting all the positive traits while Gummy inherit the negative ones. They were like the cosmic duality of Yin-Yang in a sense, which was most likely the reason why Gummy is like the way he is.
Nevertheless, he put it to the back of his head for now. Right now, his goal was to try his hardest to not make Bezil think twice of him. His greatest fear was to make the Gumdramon think negatively of him, like the two Digimon he heard, and view him as a menace.
He followed Bezil along the shoreline until they reached a spot where there was no Digimon in sight for about a half mile. It was a fairly sized section, covered with fine golden sand with a few rocks acting as wave breakers. The tide on its way out, leaving plenty of sand exposed for sitting. Gummy closed his eyes and took a deep relaxing breath, taking the aromatic sea air in as the breeze waft over him. He couldn’t imagine a scenic place like this.
Upon hearing the furred Gumdramon wanting him to talk about something, Gummy looked around to double check to see their was any present, before turning back to Bezil.
“Yeah... remember what I said back in the hurricane, and you commenting about it?” Gummy asked. “Truth is...I lied about that whole promise thing. I…” He paused, his face turning into a shade of red. “I really, really do care about you. For me, it’s really hard for me to just show those feelings since I’m not the type of ‘mon to just say those feelings in public all willy-nilly like that since I don't want to appear as some weak, sissy Digimon."
Gummy looked at the bracelet on his tail hammer. “And when I do have these strong feelings and it’s hard to contain, my tail reacts in response to them, hence why it caught that bench we were sitting on fire; It’s kinda like a lie detector embedded into my digi-code now that I think about it.”

At the very least, Bezil was grateful that Gummy held back any retaliation he had in mind against the digimon that were judging him. The furred Gumdramon noted and approved of this self-restraint. It was a sign that his instincts were right, that Gummy was really okay, just misunderstood.
Eventually, they settled on a nice, quiet part of the beach with the tide going out. Bezil sat down next to Gummy, not too close to be disturbing to him, but close enough to hear whatever he had to say.
After Bezil asked his question, he awaited the reply. He listened as Gummy responded, that he had lied about his insistence on the promise and that he really did care about him. Bezil remained silent for a little while as he gathered his thoughts, wondering how best to respond to this. Eventually, he came up with a response to this.
"You know, Gummy..." he began. "We're both digimon here. And furthermore, you're partner to a human. I think it's safe to say that we both know that as digimon, we're really receptive and sensitive to the emotions of those that are close to us."
Bezil leaned back on the damp sand, content with the sound of the waves in front of them.
"You know what happens to all the "weak, sissy digimon" that are open to their emotions that I know of become?" he asked. "They evolve to Ultimate, and Mega. Because that's what brings out our full power - emotions, love, friendship, gallantry, all that."
He held back from revealing more as Gummy continued, talking about the bracelet on his tail - one that Bezil had as well. He thought it was just a thing that all Gumdramons had. But Gummy said it was something that reacted to his hidden emotions. Bezil sat up at once.
"So... that fire was an accident?!" he asked, suddenly outraged, glaring at the digimon half a mile away at what they had said about him. "That they said that about you..." Bezil had to restrain himself from marching back up to those digimon and correct their judgement on his friend. He reminded himself that he wanted to help Gummy feel better here, and picking a fight with other digimon was unlikely to achieve that.
Taking a few deep breaths, Bezil decided to focus on what Gummy had admitted. "So... your tail gets hot and bursts with fire when you're trying to suppress feelings, is that right?" he asked. Noting that Gummy's tail was only in contact with damp sand now, and the only thing that could ignite it would be a sudden volcanic eruption underneath them, he thought it was safe.
He thought back on what had made Gummy's tail ignite in the first place - it was in reaction to Bezil saying that he cared about him. The furred Gumdramon couldn't help but smile at that realization. It was really sweet... shame about the resulting fire, but, now that he knew the context, he didn't mind so much. It was just a bench after all.
"Mate, it's just us here now, nobody else." he reminded him, gently. "You can tell me anything you want. No matter what it is, I promise I won't tell anyone else. Not even my dad, or Vee, or Justice. Anything that's on your mind, lay it on me, and it stays between us. No need to feel embarrassed, I understand what it's like for digimon like you. Taught that showing emotion is weakness... I disagree with that mindset."
From here, Bezil awaited Gummy's response.

Gummy found it hard to agree with Bezil's statement about weak Digimon being more intone with their emotions to get stronger. But for him, it was hard to project those kinds of emotions, and he still stood by what he said. Sure, you could be the strongest Digimon of all, but if you known to wear your heart on your sleeve all the time, showing constant affection, he feel as though it wouldn't be a good look for them.
"I guess." Gummy shrugged his shoulders. "I mean what do I know? I've only reached up to Champion, and that was due my brother getting a confidence boost from Justice after being in a depressing rut. Naturally since we're twins, him finding the key to digivolution passed on to me, so go figure, huh?
After explaining how his tail reacted to his emotions and revealing that the bench fire was an accident, Gummy took note of Bezil's angry glare as he look off to where they last were at, near those Digimon that openly chastised him. He was surprised that the furred Gumdramon would be mad for him. It made him feel happy. But knowing him, he would probably correct them in a civil way. But him, it'd be the opposite of civil.
"Yeah..." he answered. "It happens way more often than you think. It's...kind of embarrassing now that I think about it."
He looked up when Bezil reassured him that whatever he does or say will stay between them. Looking into his olive eyes, he knew he was telling the truth. When he woke up this morning, he wanted to try his best to portray himself differently from when they first met. He thought that if he did, he would accept that fake persona. But hearing that he no longer need to hide it was well...it was a major relief to Gummy.
Looking at his back and white bracelet one more time, Gummy got up and took a long deep breath. Bezil asked for it.
"You know what I really wanted to do to those two Digimon that threw those insults to me?" he began. "I wanted to break off both of their legs and literally kick what's left of their ass with them! Like gah! In my book, if you talk shit, then you better prepare to get hit, because insulting behind others back pisses me the hell off!" Gummy paused, swinging his tail angrily. "But I calmed myself down, because I didn't want to do that to you. If I had, you probably would have seen me as a menace that was no good to be your friend, but I guess me admitting to this is already cementing in your head."
The Gumdramon's tail swishing quickly turned into hammer swings into the sand since there was nothing in sight for him to smash.
"I get so mad about things so easily, that I get mad at myself for acting like this. I shouldn't get this way, but you know the stupidest part? I act the way I do, brash and rude, just so people can notice me. I act all tough and superior because I don't want to be seen as just a snot-nose kid or some shit. But just for once, I want to go a day without acting like this, but it's so fucking hard to where it's damn stupid! I just think there's something wrong with me and someone should just reconfigure my Digicore or some shit!"
Gummy huffed loudly, appearing to have finish his rant for the moment. His arms were folded and his teal eyes were narrowed, staring out into the ocean, awaiting what Bezil had to say.

Bezil made a noise of understanding at the back of his throat as Gummy admitted that he didn't know much better, as he had only evolved to Champion level, and that was mostly instigated by his brother.
"I see. My personal theory is that evolutions happen at a moment of crisis... I evolved to Champion for the first time in the hurricane. Just I wanted to help everyone so much, I kinda... 'released' all that energy that was building up inside me, then I became a champion level." Bezil admitted. "And... my dad... I never told you this, but, one time, in the Bayou, an evil digimon was trying to kill me in front of him. In response, dad evolved to Mega to save me and killed him instead."
Bezil would remain silent for a little while to let that sink in. He rarely told anyone about that - mainly because of how ashamed he felt that he was so helpless in that situation. Any other digimon would have remained afloat in that bog, but Bezil's heavy tail made him sink. And his father couldn't fight at his best in his Ultimate form because the peat was flammable, and any stray flame and Bezil would have been roasted - even if he was resistant to fire attacks, he wasn't resistant to sinking in burning peat. If he had been a digimon that could swim, he wouldn't have been in that danger, but, in the end, he was not such a digimon.
Still, he shook those negative thoughts aside and cleared his mind with a deep breath, then turned to listen to Gummy, who admitted his feelings in full. Bezil mulled over his words for a few moments, then simply replied, "I'm glad you didn't. You restrained yourself, because you knew me well enough, and you wanted to still remain my friend. So I'm really happy that you were able to hold that urge back." he smiled at this point. "But, if you had, remember, I like you too, and I would've tried to do my best to calm you down and understand your perspective."
He listened to the rest of what Gummy had to say. That he felt ashamed of his anger issues. Bezil sighed. This was some heavy stuff he was dealing with here, so he gathered his thoughts, and eventually, came up with a reply that he hoped was helpful.
"The thing is, Gummy, there's very few situations that violence won't make worse." he began. "Like... if someone's trying to kill you or someone you care about, that's fine, that's cause for a batshit all-out beatdown. Believe me, mate, I was there for one such situation." he thought back to the bayou again.
"But... let's say if you did act that way to digimon that were just talking about you, and if you did go ahead and snap off their legs. How would they respond to that? They'd want to hurt you back. And if you went further and killed them, those that cared about them would want to hurt you and those you cared about even more. It's an exponential spiral of violence that brings nothing of any happiness or value to the world. Do you understand me?" he asked. Bezil was speaking gently here - not trying to be patronizing or lecturing, just simply trying to be a gentle voice of reason that hopefully Gummy could latch on to.
"Also... you're having trouble with your temper, right?" he asked, turning to face him properly. "I have an idea... why don't we try alternative ways for you to get out all that negative energy when it builds up? Because everyone has things that piss them off, but you need an outlet for that energy, you get me?"
Bezil hoped that Gummy was willing to be constructive here so that he could help him out.

Gummy took a seat on the rough sand, silently thoughtful, while listening to Bezil. In the older Gumdramon's case, Digivolution came in a response of a need, not a desire, just like his brother during his crisis. He wondered why he Digivolve alongside his brother that day. Unlike feeling a need for strength, Gummy desired it; it was the only thing he was obsessed with. So if he felt like that, why did he digivolved if his heart still had the wrong idea? Was it because of him and Vee's brotherly connection? He didn't know.
He had no words for what Bezil told him, how he nearly died to an evil Digimon. Judging from his silence, it was a touchy subject. Well, it would be considering it was a near-death experience. He didn't know how that feel, and probably won't.
Listening to Bezil's advice, Gummy could feel a swirl of anger starting to bubble up, not at Bezil, but at his words. He heard them time and time again from Vee. He found it difficult to cut the Gumdramon and explain himself, but seeing how he never interrupted when he spoke, so he schooled himself and allowed the other Digimon to continue, his tail tapping the sand anxiously until he was done.
"I get that, but in that scenario those Digimon shouldn't have messed with me in the first place." he replied. And I don't care if they want to hurt me, I'll beat it into their heads to not even think of messing with me. You know as well as I do that that's how this hierarchy stuff in the Digital World works. But killing? I may be bad shit crazy, but I wouldn't go that far unless they truly deserved it, like hurting those I...care about for instance."
Bezil then offered to find ways to help with his temper, to which Gummy huffed in fustration.
"That's the thing though. I don't know if whatever outlets you're trying to suggest will work for me. The only outlet I have is just fighting. Fighting's literally all I live for! When I get pissed the fuck off, I just want to beat someone until I feel better. But seeing how you're gonna reprehend me like my brother and everyone else thinking that they're better than me, I'm just gonna call myself stupid for even thinking that'd be a good solution!"
Gummy tossed his head, trying his best to hide his anger, but to no avail. He could feel the words being put into his head already, about how and what he should do to change himself. He's heard it all before, and each time ended in failure, so what will be different this time?
"Then what would be a good solution to help with my anger problems then? You want me to switch it from beating up Digimon to beating up inanimate objects? 'Cuz I'll fucking do that if it means you and everyone else will accept me more!"
Spotting a couple boulders nearby, about four times his sizes, Gummy charged at it and began wailing on one of them with his fists, every punch slowly cracking the large rock inch by inch until it finally crumble apart. He then start on the next one, and would continue to do so if Bezil decided to stop him.

Bezil didn't know what to say at Gummy's reply. The furred Gumdramon honestly didn't know how to approach this line of thinking, or how to convince Gummy that it wasn't the right thing to do. Yes there was a hiearchy, but as far as he understood it, it was a way to keep bad digimon from being able to get away with bad things, not simply looking at him the wrong way.
Next, Bezil was a little hurt from what Gummy said, that he was going to reprehend him like his brother and everyone else that thought they were better than him. "But I don't think I'm better than you." he interjected. "I just want to help you. It's... not right that you feel so angry at things... I... just..." he broke off, unable to find the words that could possibly break through here.
A part of Bezil told him to just let it be, that he was unable to help Gummy off this carousel of anger and violence. But he quickly pushed those thoughts aside. No, he wouldn't give up that easily. He just had to think carefully.
Bezil simply watched sadly as Gummy decided to take out his anger on some boulders. Initially he didn't want to intervene, hoping that he would calm down after smashing the first boulder apart, but his frustration seemed so total that he then moved on to the second one. As he did so, Bezil stood up, then approached until he was ten feet away.
"Hey, Gummy..." Bezil found himself saying after a little while. "Do you... want a hug?"
After he said the words he didn't know why he had done so for a moment. However, it was the way he was raised. Whenever he was upset, his parents would offer a hug and he'd feel better. If one of his brothers or sisters felt upset, he'd offer them a hug too and they'd often feel better. So if Gummy was upset, maybe a hug would help him feel better too?

Bezil's comment fell on deaf ears to Gummy as he continuously pounded the first boulder in a blind rage until it was nothing but rubble. While what he said about shifting his anger onto inanimate object from committing physical violence was true, the Gumdramon wasn't feeling any signs of relief at all. He felt worse. But why though, was he not punching hard enough?
Gummy growled, feeling more irritated, and moved onto the second boulder where he started to drill his fist into. With each punch, he started to envision all of Xros Silence onto the boulder, the team that severely injured him in a mere sparring match. He hated them. He hated all of them, especially the Commandramon with how he smirked after he had left him riddle with bullet wounds inside of a tree bark. Just thinking about him fueled his anger beyond the boiling point.
He'll show him. He'll show them all that one day, he'll become something that'll surpass them all.
Punch after punch, he started to feel worse and worse. Punch after punch, he felt his blows becoming weaker and weaker, not putting huge enough dents in the large rock. Punch after punch started to think how he'd already screwed up this day and made Bezil think of him as nothing but a sociopath. Punch after punch, he felt could feel something wet coming from his eyes. And punch after punch, he started to think he was a horrible brother to Vee, and a horrible partner to Justice. He felt...like a failure.
It was only when he heard Bezil calling out to him that his fist froze just before it made impact with the nearly destroyed boulder. Hearing if he wanted a hug, Gummy slowly turn towards him, like a confused child, with tears now running down his cheeks. He looked at the boulder, watching it collapse into smaller rubble due to its weakened structure, and then looked at his hands, seeing the redness all around his knuckles, and then back to Bezil.
It would take a couple of seconds for Gummy to compete-ly comprehend what Bezil had said before he started to slowly drag himself to him in silence. Once he got close enough to him, his face became contorted; a mixture of sadness and fear gripped him. He hugged the furred Gumdramon, his body shaking as he began to sob on him.
"I'm sorry. I"m so, so sorry..."
