Truth be told Kan didn’t know why he was out so late.
Snyder had been silent for the last few days, mostly mulling about their experiences in other places. Places they weren’t able to do much. Unlike the prior spirits that Kan had possessed snyder was weak; he wasn’t able to reach the same level as they were. Which in it’s own placed blame onto his spirit wielder.
The tall somewhat burly man rubbed his eyes, letting out a small sigh before running a hand through his hair. The cool and fresh late night air was doing wonders for him. He never really took walks anymore and the few that he did usually ended up with him going back to that place. So without his spirit he felt a little tense. Like something was going to happen.
Though even if it did happen he still had his digivice and with all that DATS nonsense going on digimon around these parts were being more careful. At least the ones that would want to cause trouble of any kind. So maybe he could relax?
He didn’t really feel like he could.
No he felt like that would just make it more likely to happen. And if it did happen could he deal with it? Once again not a prospect he liked thinking about. Another sigh and another shake of the head. He had been doing this for too long to not think about things like this.
The human took a moment to examine his surroundings; realizing he hadn’t been really paying attention. His piercing blue eyes sweeping around for a few moments before noting that he was… well mostly alone. Some people were here but they were making themselves more and more scarce. Late at night the park wasn’t exactly the most popping place to be. Give or take fifteen minutes it was likely that Kan would be the only one in this section which suited him just fine.
The large man decided that he’d take a seat on one of the few benches nearby so he could perhaps do some star gazing. There wasn’t a whole lot you could see in the middle of the city but… The idea itself was endearing enough to where he felt like it. Left to his own thoughts the man just stared blankly into the distance...

It wasn’t like she wanted to be walking in the middle of the night, alone. Sure, Tokyo was one of the safer places in the world, a low crime rate, and in all honesty she felt like it was a rare chance someone would attack her, a disabled woman alone in the park as she limped along the path, her cane catching the few park lights at odd angles.
“Come back here, you little menace,” she hissed. Her cane clicked against the ground, and she tapped it a few times, like an impatient woman tapping her foot.
However, the little coffee colored blur was nowhere to be seen, and she could scarcely imagine how much chaos the little cretin was producing now, harassing students, innocent squirrels and gods only knew what else.
“I didn’t ask for this,” Willow moaned into her free hand and rubbed her cheek.
He was a...what did he call it?
A digimon?
Either way, he’d popped out of the blood pressure machine’s monitor at the little clinic next to her apartment and it’d absolutely changed her life, for sure setting off her own blood pressure. He would be cute by most standards, a small creature the size of a Pomeranian, coffee colored fur, with a whispy tail like a ribbon.
That had been only a week ago.
Problem was, it ate e v e r y t h i n g , and growled, snapped, or terrorized anyone it couldn’t consume. She didn’t even want to broach how it sometimes spoke at her, saying such things as, “No tamer,” or the ever apt request for food. It wasn’t like she could ask for help, it was certainly no dog, and Willow didn’t think it’d go over well if it ate a stray cat at Petsmart.
Willow let out a little sigh, before bellowing a loud “Spektrmon! Come on...I uh...I’ll give you some pancakes!”
For a moment, she slumps, shaking her cane exasperatedly, as she turns, she can see a large figure on the bench.
“I..uh...sorry. For the noise.” She says in clumsy Japanese.

Kan sighed a bit and pulled out his digivice, an older pure white D-1 that had become his only when he had met Snyder in that aircraft sometime ago. It had changed a lot in his life, he had stopped being so negative. Stopped worrying so much, had a lot of people start supporting him. He had reached out, desired growth.
It was a good change and for once he was rather happy with it. He’d turn his head as he noted that there was someone coming his way. He heard a small bit of clicking but he attributed that to the cane he could see. It wasn’t a surprise to see someone with one around here, there were plenty of older individuals that needed it to walk so he paid it no heed.
Just simply minding his own business, not wanting to really impose and see what was going on here. The male simply going back to his device for a moment before stowing it. It would be hard to explain that sort of thing to others that didn’t know what it was. Heck how did you even explain that sort of thing to your neighbors? Or people that you even met at random?
However.
What broke him out of his thoughts was hearing the approaching individual call out for something. A very specific something that made the man’s eyes widen a bit. Spektrmon? That was something he knew. Well. Not the type of mon so much as just knowing what that meant. His blue eyes shifted from the ground and back to the woman. She must of been a few years younger than him and with that clumsy attempt at japanese the man blinked.
Was she a foreigner to Japan just like he? Or just someone who was nervous? He’d take a guess and say it was the former. He’d rub at his neck and shake his head dismissively. His japanese wasn’t the best but figuring that they hadn’t spoken english he didn’t want to exactly assume that was her language of choice.
”It’s not a problem. Did you say… Spektrmon? That’s one I haven’t heard of before.”
He’d ask cautiously; if she said yes… Well he’d have to bet that she was a new tamer looking for an unruly mon. In this darned age there was more and more and more. Unlike back when he started that it was a very well kept secret and there were only so many… More and more tamers were popping up, more spirit users, more just… Everything. He had even heard rumours of Xros Armies from time to time. Whatever those were.
”What do they look like? I might of seen them.”
He deigned to remain seated, there was no reason to get up if the woman didn’t want help or didn’t feel like sharing. He wasn’t about to push for this, after all… This would look quite strange otherwise!

The large figure was much taller than herself, and she craned her neck just slightly to catch his gaze, however, when he said the name of her digimon, her heart began to pound wildly.
He knew.
He knew what they were.
It was perhaps arrogant to think so, but Willow had somehow assumed that she was the only one befallen with such misfortune as the Digital Monster known as Spektrmon.
“Yes!” She said, blurted in sharp English overenthusiastically, pushing herself close to the man, her eyes wide with excitement.
Then, in a moment of sudden shyness she backed away. The locals of Japan were a little concerned with their personal space, and she realized her error, taking a moment to step backwards with her cane, slightly irritated that it was harder than going forward.
“Sorry!” She said in Japanese, remembering herself, “He’s...well, a tiny menace honestly.” She sighed, pulling out her digivice. It blinked and chirped at her, and she stared at in an abject disappointment.
“I don’t know why this happened to me,” she said, more to herself than the stranger.
“Anyways, he’s about this big,” At these words, she motioned her hands outwards, giving a rough idea of his size. Willow allowed her cane to rest against her hip for a few seconds before tottering weakly and needing to grasp it again.
“He’s brown, mostly, and he has yellow eyes, like a cat, he’s got a huge mouth, he got away when I opened the door to my apartments. You...you’ll help me, won’t you?”

Kan blinked a few times as the other blurted out something in English, pushing closer to him. He was unused to such an… american reaction to things. Well he figured american judging by what she sounded like. The sharpness and tone was very much so from his proper homeland.
”Huh. All right then. Well… I can’t say I’m familiar with thatt particular one.”
He seemed surprised but he wasn’t bothered by the ‘invasion’ of his personal space. Honestly after sharing a body with so many different spirits he hardly felt the personal bubble that many did in japan. He’d motion that it was all right; noting the cane and strained movements. Or what he presumed to be strange movements. The man chuckled softly and scratched at his cheek; he switched to English for a moment; curious to see if she’d rather speak in that tongue than Japanese.
”It’s nothing to apologize for. I’m not super bothered by people getting close to me. I work with people a lot and well. Lets just say I have people around all the time.”
The man shifted a bit and frowned as she showed him her digivice; or rather in such a way that allowed him to see it. Hearing that he was a small creature made the man realize that this was a tamer that was barely starting out. It was rough; it always was. He’d grit his teeth and nod.
”Sounds that he’s about an In training or fresh level… Does he have legs?”
The man blinked a few times; noting that she was struggling to stand without her cane. Back in the day when he first started out he knew that he would of taunted them, made fun of them. Been an actual prick to this woman. But he felt nothing but sympathy for her. He knew how it was and giving a small smile he’d nod.
”Of course. It wouldn’t do to have him running around without his tamer would it? That’s uh. What human’s with digimon partners are called by the way.”
The man chuckled and shook his head, there was a pause and then he’d offer his hand for a shake. Introductions were in order and he preferred this medium over the bowing any day!
”My name is Kan. What’s yours?”
