This was probably the safest place for Shizu to be at the moment. A...giant rabbit turned squid's boat eating fish. Yep. Shizu did wonder how a hike like this would affect someone on their lonesome, because truth be told, they had been walking for...quite some time.
...At least Keramon liked headpats, though. Maybe they didn't seem to get physical affection all that much? That's...the first thing one would expect from something that didn't speak and looked pretty intimidating at a first glance.
"Frying them sounds good. Do that!" Shizu stated, with a smile. The Keramon floated into her cabin, so Shizu opted to follow and...noted the surroundings. Hm. This was pretty much meant for a rookie rather than an ultimate.
...While Keramon did her thing, Shizu wandered closer to some Gabu-bears. "What in the..." What're THESE supposed to be? This was some odd kind of ursine...

The keramon gave shizu a small smile, flicking those weird tentacle head things in such a manner that was indicative of her spending far too much time in the antylamon. She seemed surprised when she seemed to have less control over them than her ‘ears’. The keramon wasn’t really used to physical affection given that she lived alone and had very few if any friends to begin with.
The last friend she had made she hadn’t seen in quite some time and the others she wasn’t even sure where they were. She’d fidget about and smiled broadly when the other agreed to frying them. The keramon would nod her head and shifted around the cabin, getting the kitchen ready and it wasn’t too long before the stove was going full tilt and the keramon cleaned her fish. The extras would go into a bucket that she could toss into the woods or in the river…
She must have done this many a time given how quickly she was able to do it. That or she was just a natural! Though the former seemed much more likely given how well worn the fishing boat seemed in that particular area.
The fish were starting to sizzle on the top of the stove as she heard Shizu seem to be confused about something. She’d lean a little bit and note their attention to the gabu-bears. She’d brighten a bit and move over to another much smaller book that she could quickly write something out for. Tapping on the human’s shoulder she’d offer the book with the explanation. The smile never leaving her face as she went about cooking again!
Oh those? They’re gabumon teddy bears! They were cute and I thought they’d fit nicely in my boat. I got them for a very low price cause they haven’t been selling well. Poor Monzaemon X... He makes teddies for lots of children in whitewater. But some of his designs don’t do well. Like this one. I think his most popular was another rookie but the name is escaping me… Some kind of seal type digimon?
The keramon almost seemed to be humming to herself; though even if she was no one would ever hear the musical tune. Not even the keramon. She was happy to have company and was happy to be cooking for them. It wouldn’t even be that long before the first batch of fried fish were done. Lightly breaded and with some lemon flavoring.
Heck the keramon seemed to be considering something and after a moment she’d scribble something down in the book again. Holding it up to the human; her smile widening and the little jelly fish bobbed up and down...
Do you want some mashed potatoes?

...Curious how isolation causes one to act differently, truly. While things were cooking, Shizu got a rather thorough explanation as to what in the actual blazes Gabu Bears were. They were teddy bears in the shape of Gabumon, and they came from a rather...reputable seller from what Shizu could infer.
"Gomamon?" That was the most seal-like Digimon she knew about at this very moment. There could be more but that was the main one. Either way, a Monzaemon...X? In Whitewater. She could definitely go check that out once she was done having lunch with a new friend.
Yes...
Some time went by before Keramon asked if Shizu wanted any mashed potatoes. Okay, that was something she hadn't tried before, but... "Sure, I'd love some. Do you usually eat your fish with those?" She decided to hazard that question as well.
No harm in learning more about Keramon, after all. There was a lot of curiosities with her!

Isolation really never bothered keramon, out of everything the chipper little mon just naturally was all right with it. Maybe it had to do with the fact she had most of her life to herself; often just wandering, exploring and fishing to her heart's content!
The little jellyfish mon perked up from hearing the human’s suggestion; she’d bring a hand up to her mouth almost thoughtfully and then nodded a few times as the suggestion seemed the right one. Her hands scribbling on the book once more.
That sounds about right, purple and white right?
The teddies that he sold were fairly simple if not adorable. He had a very good business model that the little jellyfish hoped one day that she’d be able to match in some regard or another.
She’d tilt her head as the other spoke once more; asking if she usually ate her fish with them. What did the keramon eat with her fish normally? The little hands were quick to cut up some potatoes and went about mashing them, one of her tendrils working the marker on her book before holding it up to the other once again!
Not all the time, sometimes I have rice or corn. I like to try different things and this would be the first time that I’ve tried mashed potatoes with them. Baked were so good how could this not be?
The little jellyfish smiled warmly and kept on working, it wouldn’t be too much longer before the fish were fully sizzling, the potatoes were warming up and the keramon was idly shifting around the kitchen. Getting dishes prepped and the silverware ready on the small table they’d have to share.
What sort of foods do you like?
