"Okay, please wait for a moment! I'll be back with the coffee."
As the waitress go back to the other table and the lady—apparently named Littorio, which reminded Higgs of a certain warship in Human World—starts on eating her fish curry, Higgs started to eat his own giant sirloin, plucking a small piece before putting it inside his seemingly bottomless mouth. Usually he would just put the whole meat in his mouth and then that's it. But seeing how the lady eats with gracefully refined movement, Higgs decide to act out of courtesy and keep his pace.
"I guess i should say nice to meet you, Miss Littorio. I mean, it's kind of awkward to keep calling you ma'am."
One step away from being awkward. But still, the uncanny vibe is both fascinating and unsettling him to the core. But maybe, confronting it directly is not a wise decision. No fun, and could end the opportunity to dig precious information. Perhaps Higgs could learn and gain more knowledge from this human.
"Do you have any other questions? If you don't have any at the moment i could start explaining why humans can be transported to this Digital World."
Should there be no questions asked, the only thing Higgs could do for Miss Littorio is giving her a few hints of reason for humans existing in Digital World. That much he could guide her. Though, it's really hard to read her true intentions. While most humans that Higgs encounter are like open books, this one is not.

“Miss? Ahahahahaha… Littorio is my forename. Traditionally honourifics such as miss are applied to one’s surname.” In one casual movement the Italian made it clear she did not wish to be called “miss” nor would she be revealing her surname anytime soon. That was just a little bit too much information for her to reveal at this time. At that an ever so faint aura of danger was conjured up as Littorio’s eyes tightened into slits.
“Hmmm….at this stage no, I do not.” The aura passed and the Italian returned to softly appreciating her food, declicate motions breaking down reserved amounts of food. Mmmm….
“In fact...if everything here is truly little more than the digital, explain how you’re able to produce food? In fact, why do digital lifeforms even bother with food to begin with?” Digital lifeforms would have no need of food. They were simply ones and zeros, raw computer data that had no purpose in consuming mass. What would data gain from simply accumulating more data?

"Well, i guess you don't mind if i cut a bit of formalities and just call you Littorio, then? Still feel a bit awkward though. I feel rude somehow."
One wrong button pushed.
But it's not a big deal.
The Keramon gotta put a flag just in case he would face this kind of situation again. Not to mention, the reaction when she replied the formalities was awfully similar to how his former superior dissatisfied with Higgs' answers.
But then the lady's question perked him up. Asking the simple, but fundamentally important question. This sparks up the interest in Higgs' mind to explain all the nitty-gritty details of Digimons and Digital World.
"About how the food in here exists..."
But the Keramon felt a bit hesitated when he want to explain it in his own way, conflicted either he should just sugarcoat things and kept the darker parts away, or maybe he could share all of his knowledge to this lady. She's an adult after all.
"If you ask how do food like meat or vegetable exist here, it's simply because they just grown out of nowhere. But if you are talking about food chain... i'll be frank. I believe the word survival of the fittest exist somewhere in your world. It applies here. Even though we're just a program, a bunch of ones and zeroes..."
As if emphasizing his words, Higgs take a bigger piece of his meat with his right hand before consuming it.
"We do eat, or more like adapting new strands of data to our core programming, adapting the changes, optimizing it, and then evolve to become the best Digital existence in this world, to be the fittest for the survival. Strong gets food, weak become food."
Higgs sighing a bit, showing an implication that somehow he had enough with that kind of lifestyle and just want to live a comfortable life.

“Mmm mm that’s fine~ You can call me miss if I ever get married~ Fufufu.” Littorio giggled in a manner closer to a high schooler than the full grown employed women she was. Still, that was rather meaningless from this point onwards. For the time being, Littorio returned to her silent vigil gracefully eating her meal as Higgs delivered his explanation. It was a much simpler answer than she had been imagining but...ahahahahahaha…~ Oh that was a curious little tidbit this digimon had just dropped.
If a digimon got stronger by consuming the weak….well how did a human fit into that….? Without playing her hand too obviously the Italian asked one final simple question.
“And….I’m assuming humans end up converted to pure data when they visit this world correct….?” She gripped her right arm in a display of mock discomfort, putting on an expression of concern. If digimon really did get stronger by eating the data of the weak and humans were converted to computer data here….then wasn’t she at risk? That was the fear she was pretending to feel, the grip on her right arm tightening as she nervously looked towards the other digimon customers.

Higgs glad that Littorio caught things up rather quickly. So quick that she can conclude that Humans indeed converted to Data just like Digimons. However, Human's Data mechanism is really complicated to comprehend. Even ig Digimons can reach sentience and sapience as close as Humans, there is one single thing that they can't reach to become Human. That thing is called soul by his master. While technically Digimons have soul in form of Digi-Core, they are just Data. Different from Human's soul. They are a different substance, with something more powerful even than a Yggdrasil itself.
But messing with Human's data is really a rare case, and all of those cases didn't end well.
"Technically, yes. But even then, Human's data are... really different than Digimons, or any Digital existence in this world. There was a legend about a hacker that do... things in Digital World. He was responsible in creating some terrible Digimons. And eventhough he's dead, his consciousness, his soul still lingers around Digital World. I don't really know the full story, but in case you're interested on that Human, you might want to find anything related to Machinedramon and the creation of that species."
While he heard many things about that Hacker, he still can't dig the full story behind that. Most of the stories are already twisted, and the records are either broken, corrupted, or completely erased. But talking about this just made Higgs realized something.
If both Digimons and Humans are converted into Data, can they devour each other? Can Humans actually eat Digimon and gain something from it? Can Digimons eat Humans and become more human?
It's a weird premise, and probably pretty sensitive issue to be discovered further.
Oh wait.
Higgs just realized another thing.
But maybe he shouldn't bring that topic. He couldn't. He instinctively telling himself to be wise and just drop the issue for now.
"I think talking with you gave me a new insight and perspective. I think i should thank you for that matter."
Higgs starts to pick up his pace, waiting for his coffee to be served as Dessert.

“Hmmm...interesting….it does sound worth investigating if nothing else.” Littorio finished her curry, the last remainders of fish and rice vanishing from the plate. It was not one of the best fish curries Littorio had eaten in her life but it was a great deal better than the majority of curries Italian had tried in her life. She rose up from the table and politely bowed her head towards Higgs, smiling sweetly.
“Thank you for the meal. Unfortunately, I have work tomorrow and would very much like to return home. Perhaps I’ll see you around?~” A healthy night’s sleep was important for continued performance at one’s career and Littorio had been given a lot to think on. She smiled sweetly at the Keramon and gently touched his right arm before walking out of the restaurant.
She made her way back to the train station, grinning maliciously the entire way. So many avenues for entertainment had been revealed to Littorio today. A world of pure data, where lifeforms grew stronger by consuming the data of other digital creatures. Littorio was curious what would happen if a human, converted to data in this world, engaged in the same act…~ It was a peaceful trip home and once the Italian made her way back to her apartment she crawled into bed then passed out.

The cloaked Keramon nods as if he is acknowledging her statement. Although, it's more like Higgs is acknowledging her curiosity regarding the matter. Higgs smiled, even wider than his permanent smile-shaped lips.
"Yes. Probably you might be the first one to discover? I don't know... hahah..."
All good things must come to an end. As the lady said that she's going back to her home world, Higgs nodded, responded to her touching with a grin. Quite friendly grin, for the Keramon's standard. And definitely a friendly grin for the lady's perception.
"Alright then. I don't know if we would cross our paths after this. But i certainly be willing to help your adventures in Digital World, Littorio. Until then, see you later!"
Higgs waved as she walks away to get on the Trailmon, and depart back to Human World. And as she left, Higgs mowed down the last of his Giant Sirloin. His mind is going back and forth from the familiar anxiety and the uncanny thrill he got from meeting that woman.
"...Gosh... that was actually reminded me of talking with my former boss. Just who the heck is that Littorio...?"
As the Palmon waiter comes with his cup of coffee, Higgs start contemplating.
